Guests

I understand there are reason as to why we have to forum locked to guests, but I feel that this has retarded to growth of the forum. I've noticed ofver the last few weeks that we get quite a few visitors to the site, but most don't ever join. I think it's because they can't see the site. So I'm thinking that we either need a guest section, or to find a way to let them view the site and not be able to post. I know it can be done because I've seen it done on a few other sites hosted on Forumotion.

I always thought it was stupid that guests couldn't see anything. I nearly didn't join because I didn't know anything about it. Then again though, half the reason I did join was because I wanted so see more about it.

well I think that the large number of folks who joined and never posted did it just for that reason. to see more of the site. thus validating my piont

I think it's be better if we unhide the forum. Since (from what I'm told) the reason for the forum is because the administration don't want strangers looking at the forum--- which is a very odd reason in my opinion. There would be no harm in making the forum view-able for everyone. It'd likely benefit the Roleplex if guests can see, so that new people can know what's actually on the forum.
