People fear anything they dont know, to the point where they kill it off before it can 'kill' them. It's why people are so scared of, say, sharks for example. Half of the people have no clue what they're like, but are terrified of them none the less. It's actually pretty funny, because falling out of bed kills more people every year than sharks.

What exactly is LAL about?

I don't know myself, but the original had to deal with the last of an alien species. I know for a fact that it was really popular on the Sporum, considering few RP's survive long enough to have sequels.

It's about our characters attempting to help out a planet that's being invaded by that universe's equivalent of the Grox. LAL2 is about them being captired by said Invaders. At least so far it is. I don't actually know the rest, Jay does XD
