Atama's Highest IC - The Beginning of The End

Thage awoke. She was laying in a forest. The sunlight came in through the treetops and birds fluttered around. She felt happy for some reason. She sat up, sitting in Indian style. She was beginning to wonder who she was. All she knew was that her named was Thage and she was very happy. She was female, she was a nature-lover.

She looked at her hair, it smelled like flowers. She stood up and began walking around. She skipped and slid across the grass, having a fun time. She liked the smell of the beautiful forest.

But then she saw something slip by. It was black and scared her at first. It zipped into the bushes, out of sight. The bushes it had touched began to turn gray and slowly wilt away. She was shocked and ran the other way. She emerged from the forest and sat by a creek outside a huge mountain. It was clear that there was a kingdom, a stone city of castles on top of it. It looked truly magical.

Thage laid down across the rocks, dipping her bare feet into the waters with joy. She gave a soft breath. She just wondered exactly where she even was.

A quarter mile down the creek was a giant gray skinned man, a nomad. In fact, a nomadic Destroyer, the first Destroyer to ever exist. He had a camp next to the creek. The giant man sat, slouched over a fire that he used a fire to roast some sort of cross between a mammal and an insect. Behind him was a makeshift tent, made out of his black coat and many, many leaves stuck together with a sticky white thread, almost like a spider web. The Destroyer whispered somewhat happily "Eliminate, delete, destroy, kill," repeatedly in that order. He seemed to emit some strange telepathic message. Thage heard in her mind the words from the message repeating over and over again, faint at first but it grew in strength, "I am not a traitor."

Thage looked around, hearing the words. "What?" she asked. She stood up and began to look around for whoever was putting the words in her head. She walked down the creek, maybe there was someone near the city that was doing it. But it wasn't long before she found the Destroyer. She hid behind a tree, in fear that he might be hostile, but she knew that because of her clumsy entrance he had probably noticed her.

The giant man ripped off a leg of the cooked creature, and took a bite. Without turning his head, he said to Thage in a deep gruff voice, "You want some food?" He tore another leg off and put it on a plate. He set the plate down next to the fire. The huge Destroyer then said, "Don't worry I don't bite." After that he whispered, "More than once." He bit into the leg with his sharp fangs and tore off a big chunk of crunchy insect like meat.

Thage approached slowly and sat down by the creek. She ate some of the meat that had been handed to her, thinking it was rather tasty.

"I'm Thage" she said. "What's your name?"

She was still wondering more about where she was, who she was, and what she was. She knew her name, age, and gender. But that was it. There wasn't anything else. Her happiness was merely an emotion, not something she knew. But she felt as though somehow there was more to her than she knew. Where did she come from?

Destruction didn't answer. He took another bite, and then licked the grease off his claws. He seemed to be too focused on the meat, though at the same time he heard her and decided to ignore her.

Thage raised an eyebrow and rolled her eyes. "Fine, ignore me" she crossed her arms and finished her meal. She stood up and walked into the creek again, she seemed obsessed with it. She picked up a shiny red rock from the waters and threw it. It skipped across the waters and kept skipping, it suddenly disappeared, not falling under. She was surprised how good she threw that and how much it skipped.

She saw a dark shadow crossing the trees. It went by quickly and left behind a trail of dead leaves. She couldn't get a good view of it. What was that? She ignored it. She looked at a tree. She sat down by it and laid her back up against it.

"Psst!" said a tiny voice. She jumped. She looked around. "Over here!" said the whisper.
"Where?" Thage whispered back.
"HERE! The tree you're looking at!" said the voice. Thage jumped and looked at the tree. She saw two green eyes pop out of the bark.

"WHAT THE HECK?!" Thage shouted. She backed away, seeing the eyes disappear and stumbled into the creek, getting wet with water. She sighed.

Destruction looked at Thage. He stood up and walked over to the creek. The giant man crouched down and asked, "What's your problem? You developing a Madness title?" He reached out his hand to help her out of the creek.

"That tree just talked!" Thage said getting up and trying to shake the excess water off her shirt. She approached the tree and touched it. She eyed it. "I know this thing talked! Did you hear that?" she didn't let him respond. She kicked the tree.

"Ow don't do that!" whispered the tree. Thage yelped. She hid behind Destruction.

"Hey uh, do you even know what this place is? I just woke up here in the forest..." she said. "I'm probably coming off as some insane person but I know that that tree talked!"

Being the very experienced Destroyer he was, Destruction knew the answer to many things. His answer there was, Thage was crazy. "Here I'll fix this." He closed his fist with his left hand, this caused the tree to shrivel up and die. "You happy now?" He walked back to the campsite.

Thane heard a dark whisper from the forest behind, an angry whisper. "Enemy, enemy. Betrayal. Kill..." Spoke the whisper.

Suddenly from the plains just opposite the creek, still in visibility, a white and blue portal opened making an eerie shriek. Two beings stepped out. One was a tall black dragon with glowing white eyes. The second was a beautiful blue-skinned girl with a glowing form.

"You're sure you sensed him come this way?" Ariana asked Tharan.

"Positive."

Destruction sat back down next to the fire, and ripped another piece off of the hunk of animal. Examining it closely, he took off the poison glands. He said to Thage, with a mouthful of meat. "What brings you to Atama, girl?"

"I uh... I don't know. I just woke up in the forest over there" she said. She heard the thumps of a dragon pounding at the earth across the creek on the hill. She got up and backed up and saw the glowing blue girl walking down the hill their way.

"Uh.... who is that?"

Ariana approached and readied her sword. She gasped when she recognized a Destroyer and an Allure. "What the heck are you two doing here? How did you get here? Who are you?" she asked.

"What?" asked Thage.
"You're an Allure and you're a Destroyer! What are you doing here?! How the heck did you get here?!" Ariana shouted.

Destruction peered over his shoulder and looked at the two, scoffing at the Allure with the sword. He stood up, towering over her. He began waling over to Ariana. Destruction crouched down to her and said, "Aren't you a cute one." He smiled, "I suppose you are Ariana." He looked over at the dragon. "And you're Tharan." He expected them to be surprised.

Ariana flicked her glowing hair back. "I was voted most beautiful in the entire Allure empire for fourteen years. I'm more than cute, if anything--I'm sexy" she bragged rolling her eyes. Tharan was not surprised, knowing the Destroyers well enough he suspected they'd be able to identify them. He approached.

Ariana was slightly surprised. She looked at Destruction. "Yeah, I'm Ariana. You two are?"

"I'm Thage" said the other Allure.

Destruction smiled an evil grin at Ariana, "Perhaps you could be the new being of lust; you remember her right?" He was kidding but sounded serious. "I am Destruction, the greatest of the Destroyers. I founded the Destroyed clan."

"You mean that chick that hung out with Insanity? Meh," Ariana added. Tharan rolled his eyes. His deep voice pierced the conversation.

"A pleasure to meet you Destruction" he said crossing the creek. "Excuse my friend, and I. We were just searching the area for... Certain entities" he added giving a glance to Ariana.

High above the skies of Atama, something stirred. At first, it seemed to be nothing, just a light in the sky; a star that appeared from nowhere. But soon it grew and grew, until the sky was filled with an intense, nearly blinding light. A loud sizzling noise could be heard from miles around, and the temperature above the forest rose several degrees as the massive star seemed to come closer and closer. The star stopped when it seemed it could get no hotter, and the sky was filled with a rainbow-colored light as what appeared to be a miniature supernova exploded in midair above the forest. The star burst into thousands of colors, some unable to be described by any mind. The air was filled with a loud "BOOM!" as the explosion happened, and the ground itself shook. For a moment, it seemed as if this beautiful explosion became brighter than the sun itself; a second sun in the sky, until it shrank away, and simply became a beautiful collage of colors high in the air.

A second bright streak broke off from the supernova resembling a meteor with a tail of enchanting light. it slowly came crashing towards the earth, and landed with a loud BOOM! and another flash of blinding light elsewhere in the forest, not far from Tharan, Ariana, Destruction, and Thage. If they were paying close attention they may have even velt a breeze. At the sight of the crash now stood a crater, and in the center of the crater, a winged man, glowing with a beautiful array of colors. He floated just above the ground, his colossal wings outstretched, and his arms wide, wicked scythe in hand, as if he were taking in his first view of this new world. Soon the light faded, and Stellus Mortem touched the ground, his black wings outstretched and his scythe slung across his right shoulder.

Mallis was sucking away the life from a forest like an evil vacuum cleaner. From the waist down his body had become a swirling black vortex sucking everything away, leaving everything that remained dead and lifeless. He sensed the presence of new figures coming into the realm, strong ones.

"Must hurry..." he told himself sucking up more life and essence.

A black and blue portal opened. It was thin and liquidy and bright yet dark. Two figures stepped from it. They looked almost human was they were taller and had bigger eyes. One was male. He had slightly pale skin and big blue eyes with ragged shaped blond hair that covered one of his eyes. He was covered in a black combat suit that glowed with blue mechanisms. He had weapons strapped to every bone of his body.

The second creature was a female. She was the same height but had long black hair with pink highlights and baby blue colored eyes. She was covered with the same armor and weaponry.

"Codex, is that thing workin'?" she asked. The male pulled out something that humans would have mistaken for a oval shaped iPad. Several blips appeared on a map of the area that formed on the screen. One was purple.

"Oh yeah. He's here a'right. You ready Myla?" he asked.

"Yep" she said clocking a huge black gun she had pulled from her side.

The clouds of Atama began to swirl, creating an unnatural vertical vortex. As they were drawn in the swirling mass grew, darkening in color as it expanded. When the disk reached several hundred feet in diameter the center crackled with dark purple energy. It arced in every which direction, creating quite the spectacle. A skeletal claw burst through the portal, followed by another. These proceeded the appearance of a massive set of rotting wings. A glowing set of eyes displayed on the energies surface before the head of the beast came forward and into the world. It swung it's head around surveying the environment as it pulled the rest of itself through. Calamity emitted a thunderous roar sensing that Mallis had already arrived.

Meanwhile there was a blip in the sky followed by what appeared to be a meteorite. It shot right over the Destroyer and Allure. A "Wha-hooo!!" sound accompanied it's passing. It crashed in the distance leaving a long skid mark ending in flames. A short brown thing shakily rose and spoke one word. "Mufflers..." then it collapsed back into the hole.

Mallis had a frustratedly angry gritting of fangs. Within a millisecond, the dead forest around him corroded and turned black and dark purple from Mallis's aura. They writhed and created the most horrid sounds. Each whispered some ancient language of darkness while their master rose up higher and overlooked the plains. He noticed the presence of Calamity and saw the supernova created by Stellus.

"If they're not with me... They're all going to DIE" he told himself. His stomach growled. He hungered for souls.

There was no time to bask in the light of his first entry into Atama anymore. Stellus Mortem spread his wings wide, and took off flying into the air. He scanned the forest for signs of life, and found that the trees had begun to die off in another part of the forest. If that wasn't Mallis he didn't know what was. Scythe in hand, Stellus Mortem soared across the sky towards the dying trees. If Mallis was going to be this easy to hunt down, then this would be a quick mission. Stellus noticed several other life forms below in the forest who had also just appeared in Atama. They must also be hunting Mallis he thought. Stellus wasn't one to recruit help, though. He was fairly confident that he could take Mallis alone.

"Mallis!" Stellus Mortem yelled out as if the monster could hear him "In the name of the Archangels, I will defeat you!"

There was the clear taint of death not far away. Calamity guessed that it's center she'd find the one responsible. While she couldn't be certain it was the corrupted immortal, it made sense that it would be. He's trying to gather strength as quickly as possible. The dragon feasted it's eyes upon the blighted land, trying to spot Mallis.

A voice rang out, and Calamity diverted her attention to winged figure from which it originated. So there's others. They could be useful for the time being. She out a strong telepathic message for all to hear. "His fate is not for you to decide." With that she swooped over the forest, temporarily blocking out the sun with her gargantuan wings and frame.

Destruction shrugged with a look of acceptance on his face, "Can't a man get some peace around here? I've only been in Atama for two days and Mallis ends up crushing the peace." He stood up and glanced around, "Mallis is around here, and from what I've heard throughout my many years of living, he sounds pretty pathetic." He put his arm in front of him at a 225 degree angel, towards the ground, summoning some sort of stone. It had an aqua blue essence with neon blue carvings. There was a hole in the middle that spewed out black light. Destruction jabbed his finger into the small opening. His finger came out on the other side of the rough stone, grinding his long appendage, until it bled. He did this for about half a minute. The enormous destroyer then threw the rock onto the ground once the particles of the stone were fused into his body. It shattered, causing an aura to be emitted for a short while. His finger throbbed as skin covered it again almost instantly. Destruction turned back to the three others, "You should get out of here while you can, this is going to get pretty ugly." He laughed, turning his head away. He smiled and said as if Mallis were standing a few yards in front of him, "Let's have fun, ya little black booger." He began to walk in the direction where he sensed Mallis.

Mallis rose up from the forest that had turned black from the corrupted black matter. The black weeds had already grown many feet and turned into large hissing tendrils. Mallis scoffed at the words of Destruction and Stellus. The clouds turned black within a millisecond above the world down below and an eerie wind began to settle in, blowing leaves across the green grass. Clouds boiled up and thundered with white and purple lightning, promising a gift of demise.

A dark and evil voice thundered from the clouds, it was Mallis's, but it was so dark and foreboding that it almost sounded like a whole new being.

"You are all hilarious. But tell me, how long will you keep this up? You have fought me for seemingly centuries, thousands of years even for some of you. And have you once ever managed to put a dent in my forces? Have you ever managed to pose any sort of threat to my all powerful being? I can never die, nor be defeated. But you all can... I will kill every last man, woman, and child who dares to oppose the Darkling order... and from the very last inch of Keros that still remains, I will summon the rest of my armies and boil this world into a feast for my children. It will be like running water drank by the horrid mass of monsters called The Darkness. Forgive me if I seem so bold, but I have the bragging rights. Now as I head to the city of these Atamians, I seek but one thing that may bring my army back--life. And having that will give me the power I so desire to quench my thirst of all of this good..."
