Madness

Madness entered a stance and began binding with his hands, "Why don't we begin with some hardened energy cloaks." He began his lecture as he weaved the code together. "When you're a major, you'll have something equivalent to this. It's simply an app on your drexterion, but because it's powered by electricity, rather than magic from the actual code, it's susceptible to EMP and energy salvaging equipment." He tensed his body, and activated the code. There were clanks, appreciable in volume, that surrounded Madness. There was then a loud shriek that sounded like a recording of scrapping metal being played backwards. A pale blue aura encircled him and then caught onto his skin. He crossed his arms, and relaxed. "Now then." He cleared his throat. "Punch me." He smiled mischievously.

If anyone obeyed Madness, and attempted to hurt him, Madness would feel the hit, but feel no pain, since the hardened energy cloak removes all harmful effects of physical damage.

Unknown Area

It was cold, so very cold. Cold and dark were the two dominant traits of the area. The stale air remained motionless for just a few moments more, then there was a twitch, a twitch in the inanimate. Something caused the air to blow again. The bioprime was stirring again. The living had plagued the land once, but that had soon come to an end, as all living must. Bioprime scrambled along the dirt floor of the palace, slowly consuming it, spreading the influence of the inanimate. The dried blood began to boil and become wet again. It emitted steam, as a low groan of a man sounded, though there was no sign of any living thing in the entire realm. The groan slowly morphed into a tortured scream. More screams appeared, spreading slowly at first, but soon many more began. They began to proliferate to the point that the entire plane of corruption was now screeching with it's horrid shrieks.

Sorrow swung first, his metallic claws screeching through the air at Madness, preparing to strike. Sorrow's arm seemed to lengthen through the punch, the dark figure's horrid looks seemingly intensifying. He gave off a look of darkness as he swung.

The Lesson

Madness didn't flinch, nor did he react to the punch. It was as if Sorrow never made contact with him. He smiled, satisfied with his spell. "Now you three try; just copy what I did."

Bitterness was eager to test his spell. He smiled mischievously, and cast the binding. Instead off it sounding like Madness' spell, it made the sound of an avalanche. It came naturally to him, since Bitterness was fairly experienced in magic, though it was no where near as powerful as Madness'. He then looked over at Illness, and taunted her, "Now, I'd hit you, but you don't have any protection yet." He laughed.

Illness ignored the comment and tried her first spell. She concentrated the absolute hardest she could, but when she did the hand motions, nothing happened.
