Keros Divided (IC): Eruptions

"Excellent, but work harder! Every minute we waste is an advantage to the Elders! The longer we wait to get to the pool, the more we are set back!" Mallis spoke through the orb.

The Celestial he had possessed was blasting trees with its massive arms. It shot a huge storm of purple lightning from its eyes that singed the trees around it. Mallis approached the boundary in which protected the pool.

"Make way for Lord Mallis! Emperor of Keros!" shouted the Celestial.

Ravencloak looked into his crystal ball at the carnage, and gutturally grunted.

"Emperor of Keros my left cheek." he murmured, waving a hand over the ball, causing it to go dark. He looked up at the single shaft of moonlight coming from the high window, and sighed. This was going to be a long and deadly fight.

"Time to send in the real troops." he murmured once more. He walked over to the crystal in the middle of the main hall, and took a bottle of a pure silver liquid out of his cloak, pouring it over the crystal. He muttered a few incantations, and the crystal began to glow purple.

"Chorevoun, goddess of the might Enchanted Forest." he said, falling to his knees "hear my prayer. Protect your people, protect your land. Save us from the wrath of the fires of our enemies. Help us to see light in the darkness, and be as a lamp at our feet as we charge into battle. Watch over us, oh Great Mother, and keep us safe from death's grasp, though only thy will be done." He closed his eyes, and a rushing noise filled his ears. Hopefully, this would work.

The burning irritated red of the sky became black all of a sudden, and the roaring of scarlet flames became muffled under a booming, echoing cry. The minions looked up to see an unkindness of ravens flying overhead, their deadly claws sharper than steel and their beaks shining like steel. The circled overhead a moment, and Agareth looked up to see the winged demons.

"Prophet," Agareth muttered "thing of evil. Prophet still if bird or devil." The birds all seemed to stop in the air for a moment, and an ear-splitting "caw!" echoed through the sky, reverberating off of the smoke clouds. The massive flock all fell from the sky, and attacked as one, ravaging the Minion army. A howl came from the nearby woods as a pack of massive wolves with teeth sharper than knives sprinted from out of a thicket of burning trees, their eyes filled with fire and hate. They howled in unison, and charged towards Agareth, who rode her chariot high upon a pillar of flame to meet them.

"Sister!" just before the moment of impact, Agareth stopped. The lions roared and the wolves ran around her towards other minions. Standing under the burning remnants of an evergreen treee stood Colneth, her bow in hand.

"Ah," Agareth taunted "look who's come to die!"

"I'm here." Colneth shouted "Come and get me!"

As the forces of the forest attacked, Mallis's forces were greatly set back. The greatness that was Mallis's new Celestial, which he was controlling like a puppet, approached a massive cloud of the ravens. From its eyes shot a huge storm of purple lightning that cleared a massive hole in their swarm.

"SURRENDER OR DIE!!!" a deep voice called from the maw of the Celestial. Two more Celestials from the other sides of the forest came up from behind and followed it.

"LORD MALLIS SHALL WIN! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!!"

The Celestials began cutting through the trees and blasting the lightning from their eyes at the birds above which destroyed many of them. Millions of bolts of lightning shot not only from their eyes, but emerged from their glowing skin of purplish light as well.

"BOW OR DIE!!"

As Pyrena followed the Immortals, she was aghast at what the Celestials were doing. Relentlessly killing innocent animals, for what? For the sake of cruelty, and to scare creatures that trembled merely at the sound of their voice. She now knew why such vile creatures were locked away. They were not even worthy of being spat on, much less gazed at, or served as rulers. Pyrena was disillusioned once more that Lord Mallis was evil, and now knew that the only kind of rule he could possibly obtain was over a useless pile of rubble. Pyrena was not the ruler of her volcano, but she was the ruler of her own freedom. She would not allow herself to be overthrown so easily.

The Immortals quickly made it above the Forest. Once the forest was under them they shot down into it and fell to the ground.

"Get read!" Daranus shouted. "This is going to be a hard fight!"

The wolves instinctively turned towards the crashing lightning and charged the Celestial, leaping up like a great tsunami wave of fangs and fur. Meanwhile, a neighing noise echoed through the burning forest as hundreds of Elven caribou, their horns sharper than steel, charged throuh the clearing, trampling the minions. The ravens regrouped, and, inspired by the blessing of Chorevoun, struck back at the celestial, assisting the wolves in attempting to slay the mighty beast.

"We bow for on one!" the lead wolf roared.

Agareth stood on her chariot in the clearing, eyeing her sister up like how a lion gazes at a young antelope. She licked her lips, and rose her burnt staff into the air. It set ablaze, and a wave of fire arced towards Colneth, who dove out of the way and loosed an arrow at the chariot, hitting the lions' harness connectors. They broke free and charged straight at her, their wings whipping up mini tornadoes of burning hot ash which flew through the air. Colneth's eyes burned with intensity, and almost inhumanly fast, she fired four arrows at the lion, killing it. The beast soared through the air and landed in the ash, dead.

One of the Celestials fell back into a large pond and just as quickly as it fell, it vanished with a huge pillar of purple smoke shooting from the surface of the water, this was to ensure no enemies got a hold of the corpse and drained magic from it.

Mallis's Celestial was damaged around the legs and the head. Just as the wolves charged it, a huge cloud of black spouted from its barely visible mouth and created a pillar of power around it. Anything that touched it would be burnt up, it would take magic use to take it down.

The second lion saw its comrade die and charged angrily, its mouth erupting in flames. It let out a terrifying roar, and ran at Colneth with superhuman speed. Just before its incendiary, gaping maw reached her throat, it was thrown off of her with a loud snarl. Four pure black wolves tackled the lion to the ground. It reared into the air, flapping its wings, but to no avail. One of the wolves rose up and bit its neck. The lion choked, and then fell to the ground, dead. Colneth masked a scream and felt the now-burnt flesh around her throat gingerly. That would definitely leave a mark.

Garavon, the leader of the Elven Wolf Packs, leapt off of the Celestial he was attacking, just barely escaping its purple cloud. Most of the other wolves weren't so lucky. They disintegrated into piles of bones. This angered Garavon. In fact, this angered Garavon so much that his eyes began to glow silver and he released a blast of bright silver magic from his mouth in a monstrous roar.

(for now Garavon's an npc, but don't kill him. I might make him a character sheet).

Pyrena was finding it a little bit difficult to battle with a rider. She was not wearing a saddle, and as such, Ryiner had to grip tightly onto her hood to keep from falling off, and his claws were digging into it. She understood that mounts often wore saddles, along with reins and bits. In all truth, she wasn't really a fan of the idea of having a piece of metal going over her tongue and pulling at the corners of her mouth, but for once, she could see that having reins would make being ridden less painful. Most maneuvers that she could perform were useless, as she didn't want Ryiner to fall off her back. It was a long way down, and she didn't think he would survive a fall from so high in the air.

Regardless, she did quite well in fighting, despite these issues. She shot bolts of blue fire that combusted on impact, devastating her foes, and any creature that got too close received an excruciating burn as she kicked out with her powerful hooves, or slammed into them with her tail. She didn't enjoy the battle, though. When she broke bones, they gave a sickening crack as she did so. There were shrieks as those with scorched wings fell to their deaths.

He was finding it hard to hold onto Pyrena as she was maneuvering about as she was trying to best her foe. He knew he couldn't be making it any easier on her. this made him feel a bit bad, but the fear of plummeting to his death was overriding that guilt. He thought about how he could help her. Then He remembered how he'd concealed himself from other foes in the past. Then Without warning he summoned his magic and silently cast a cloak of invisablitly around himself and Pyrena. It seemed to work for the foes seemed to lose them....

"You will pay for your defense against Lord Mallis" said the Celestial Mallis was riding. It blasted a huge portion of the defenses. Mallis arose from the head of the Celestial, "You clear the rest, I want to get into the battle" Mallis said to the giant being.

"Yes Emperor Mallis" said the Celestial as it kept firing.

Mallis swarmed down to the ground. Several tree-creature... things quickly jumped from the bushes to attack him. Mallis shot ray of purple from his claws that shot into the beings and burnt them with purple fire. He laughed a mighty wicked laugh and floated around killing things.
