They're interesting. I remember a forum game I played in another forum in which I made a what if. I'll go get it.

In an alternate universe, Nikoli Tesla got a patents engineer. Now that he has all the credit for his inventions and money to last a lifetime, he begins working on some really awesome stuff. This causes technology to advance very quickly. In the 1970s, the Republic of Earth starts its interstellar travel initiative using the Alcubierre drive. Things don't go according to plan and contact is lost. Unknown to the scientists, the colony ship warped to a garden planet and from there, they created their own civilization. After many thousands of years, the Republic of Earth is a myth and thought to be some sort of heaven, and the advanced technology is viewed as magic. People who can wield it are viewed as Mages. There are two main empires in this new land, The Holy League (a group similar to the Iriquoi Confederation if it was applied to the Christian Kingdoms of Europe) and The Imperial Republic of Bak'kesh (an Islamic Empire esque nation). Recently the Holy Land (landing site of the colony ship) has been siezed by the Imperial Republic. Because of biased information and the like, The Prophet (a title handed down that basically means that you are the political and religious leader) thinks that citizens of The Holy League are being slaughtered in their pilgrimage. Him and the royals that are pledged to him decide to start a Crusade to retake the Holy Land from "the devil worshippers", protect the pilgrims, etc. So now, the combined armies of both empires are ready to face off in a war that will change their world's history forever.

There will be regular soldiers, archers, knights, etc., mages (ancient technology users (no one outside of the secretice society of mages knows the source of their powers and the mages would like to keep it that way)), and dragon riders (mages who discovered how to build dragons (World War 1 and 2 era fighter planes) and fly and fight with them).

You're not going to just freeze to death. There is no oxygen in space and so little matter in the space available, it's a vacuum. You are going to freeze, suffocate, and the vacuum will turn you inside out, and it will all happen at the same time.

You'll sizzle a bit before you hit the magma, but you're pretty much just destroyed as soon as you hit it, provided that you land properly. It'll also destroy the nerves. It won't be painless, but it's probably better than getting sucked into space.

On a side note unrelated to slow and horrible death.
