The story begins in the glorious Sparrowdale Academy of the Genetically Superior or it's official name "The Othergrounds". A desolate empty ghost town of a former castle. A battle seemingly ravaged the place causing most of the former inhabitants to disappear. Leaving behind merely a few dead bodies and few injured survivors. It was strange since a battle would leave behind a lot more dead peoples. Escape plan perhaps? However this story is centered around a large group of teenagers, all brought to the school on different roads with one goal in mind. Promises of seclusion, safe haven, training and freedom. They all will turn out to be empty. They have no idea what they've gotten themselves into, or how they gotten to this particular location. Or why. The teens who recently arrived were separated into two different groups inside of the Administrative Building, both induction rooms. Group A consisted of: Damon, Nicole, Torre, Jacob, Jia-li, and Drake. While Group B consisted of: Victoria, Ceyx, Tom, John, Arloste, Lily and Marie. Both groups were unconscious when they were brought into the induction rooms. A harmless drug was used on them that was suitable for everyone regardless of their age and body type.
They all were in identical rooms. Except they both were pitch black. Shortly, in a matter of minutes both groups came to consciousness at the very same time (however both groups will be unaware of that). The first thing that all of them could tell is that they were all on large, sturdy and very uncomfortable metal chairs. Everyone was scared and confused. The room started off dead quiet as quiet looked around--- merely breaking the silence only to ask the question that was on everyone's minds "Where are we?". Quickly the rooms filled up with confused, scared and angry chattering. It seems that the chattering would never end, until the room was illuminated by the bright light given up off a screen hidden in the opposite side of the room. Then the room went dead silent. A face appeared of a vault-boy like cartoon which had a large black afro and wearing a rainbow colored suit. This was apparently their mascot of sorts. Notably the mascot had paper white skin like Slender man. It had a smile a mile wide. Then spoke with a cheery, infomercial-like voice recorded with a terrible microphone.
"Hello children! Do not be alarmed. We welcome you to the expansive Sparrowdale Academy of the Genetically Superior, or as our true name; Othergrounds. You were sedated so that you can be safely transported to the facility. Do not be alarmed further as the medicine we used to sedate you is 100% harmless! 95% of the time you will panic when brought to a strange place against your will, so we are giving you a moment to calm down............... Long pause complete. You should be calm now lest we need to sedate you again! Now, outside the door should be a qualified teacher waiting to walk you through our induction process to get you started with your new and amazing opportunities with your gift. We advise you to keep fighting to a bare-minimum or face exile! That concludes part one of your glorious induction! A teacher will be with you right now!"
The screen flashed blank, leaving the room dark for a moment before the lights came on and properly Illuminated the rooms. The rooms were plain white tile rooms. Completely devoid of any other details other than the TV-like screen and the door made out of the same tiles. Except with a small window which lead outside to the hallway. The group waited for a few seconds with no teacher. They didn't have to be Sherlock Holmes to tell something was wrong.
Drake, Jia-li
One person to jump up and look around was the young and energetic Drake D. Blackmore. Drake was wearing a denim jacket and matching denim jeans, with his signature tinted goggles resting on his forehead giving him a aura like he was a pilot. He also wore black leather gloves so that he could avoid touching any meta-humans--- avoiding any unnecessary transformations. Finally his prized necklace with a coat of arms on it. He stood straight up when the screen flashed black and formally introduced himself, "Hey, I'd like to get the formal introductions out of the way right now. I'm Drake Blackmore, by the way. Nice to meet all of ya'." Calm and collected--- he assumed that the teacher was late or that they are getting their stuff.
Jia-li was one of the few people in the group that had extrasensory apart of her abilities. It was hard to use, yet effective enough to tell her something. She focused for a moment resting two fingers on her forehead and tried to detect anymore people other than the current group. First she had to count the current group, she raised her head and counted every soul in the room--- Seven. Seven people. Which was the cue to start sensing--- Strange. There was not a single other person in the immediate area. That was what she deduced easily. It's impossible for a person to be without sin or darkness, so that means there's no one in the area. She decided to speak, "There isn't anyone nearby or coming...." She just blurted. Jia-li was dressing rather simply. She was wearing a bright orange T-shirt and rugged jean. Nothing else other than her circle-shaped glasses.
Drake took a good look at Jia-li and questioned, "What?"
"I can sense people," Jia-li responded (hiding a bit of her powers), "I can't sense anyone but the seven that are here."
Drake crossed his arms and proposed with a obvious amount of skepticism, "Well, um, ha... I propose that maybe we should maybe try getting out." He then looked around the room at every last person, "Any ideas?
David, Victoria and Lily
Lily didn't know as much as the rest of anyone else. Today she was wearing a purple scarf around her head with a black jean jacket (T-shirt underneath) with the top buttoned to cover up her chest but with her T-shirt over her belly showing. So, while they were gathering themselves and getting out of their chairs she quickly walked over to the door and looked outside. To her confusing there was no Teacher outside like the Clown-cartoon-thingy had said. She did the very next that came to mind; tried opening the door except seeing that it was locked. She shouted "Hello! We're in here!" A few times, with not a single soul coming back. She started to bang on the door with her elbow, shouting even louder, "Hey!" It escalated until she was banging on the door as hard as she could with her knee.
David took note of the situation that Lily was starting. Dave was wearing a rather flashy attire at the moment. He was wearing a plan white kangol hat, with squared sunglasses over his eyes. He wore a cyan colored long sleeved dress shirt, which was pinstriped with thin white lines. He also wore white and cyan sneakers. Finally, he wore baggy white jeans plastered with various cyan colored flowers. He tried to be the cool and collected one out of everyone. He rested his hand on the top of his head and noted, "Yoooo, how is everyone this evening? I think that we're going to be going to school together." He smiled, totally oblivious of the fact that nobody will be coming to help them today. David looked at Lily and said, "Ya' need to cool off a bit there. Breathe." He started making the around himself air flow much better. Allowing everyone to breathe much better.
Lily turned to David after taking a small breath and spoke, "Why hasn't anyone come yet? I dunno. This could be a test of some sort."
Victoria stepped up slowly. Wearing a long sleeved white and black striped shirt--- which was fitting since she was essentially a prisoner here. She wore little else other than darker shaded jeans. She had her silver ring on that had BLACKMORE engraved on it. She didn't say anything. She was previously linked to a telekinetic that she knew. Since, she was unconscious then she assumed that she had lost her ability since the Link would be dead. However, she tested it, even though the answer would likely be no. She pointed her hand at it, narrowed her eyes and placed a hand on her head and tried to open the door with her mind. Nothing. She sighed and sat back down. Victoria was smarter than this--- so, she was going to wait for the teacher, or see if this was one big test.

John groggily woke up and instantly regretted it. His head felt like someone decided to let some elephants dance an irish jig on it.
"Harmless my ass," he thought.
He looked around and saw six other people on six equally uncomfortable chairs. Deciding that the floor was probably more comfortable than the chair, he slid off his chair and unto the floor. He was right. It was more comfortable. He watched in amusment as he saw the girl start to bang on the door and yell for help. He already saw this scenario in several horror movies. No one was coming. Oh wait, it seems that at least one person figured out that they were going to be here a while, even though his reason for it was probably just a comforting lie he told to make himself feel better. He really regreted coming to this place.

Nicole stumbled to her feet, flapping her wings a few times to regain her balance. "Well, now I feel useless." She muttered, folding them just like a bird. She didn't give an exact answer, but it was clear she couldn't do anything to help escape from the room. She began to investigate her surroundings to the best of her ability--that is that she was blinded by the different electromagnetic waves she could see, and so she was relying on sounds and smells instead. She sniffed the air, her nose twitching. Although she was sure the room was probably white, the different frequencies coming from the lights and electronics hidden in the walls were enough to confuse her. She slowly wandered in a circle, trying to figure out what was going on. Like always, she was wearing yoga pants and a matching grey jumper, except for the fact that she had hacked off the sleeves and part of the sides so she had room for her wings. She grabbed the quartz crystal hanging around her neck, bending one of her flexible legs up to hold it and standing on one leg, while polishing it with one of her alula-hands, which was a part of her wing. She often did this when she was thinking, sometimes unaware of how odd this position looked to other people. "Well, I'm sure someone will come along eventually, or maybe it's a remote-control door." She said.
Tom got up and smoothed his dreadlocks back into position, as the tangled ropes of hair had gotten misplaced during the time he was unconscious. It only took a few seconds, and afterwards, he scanned the room around him, scowling. He didn't say anything, although he personally thought this was the oddest way to wake up in his life. However, so far, there wasn't any issues, except maybe for the fact that the teachers were not present. Eventually, he sighed and shook his head, "You'd think running a facility like this they'd train their teachers better." He muttered. He was appalled at this, that they would allow something to go wrong. Wasn't this supposed to be an efficient facility?

Jacob slipped his hands into the pockets of his black hoodie and took in the situation. That girl had said that there were seven of them so he didn't bother counting. A few minutes had past and that afro guy on the TV said that a teacher should be here… so why was there no teacher to accompany them? Maybe it was a test or something? A million useless questions started going through Jay's head, and by the looks of it, everyone else in the room. He could feel the tension rising. There had to be a way out or something. Jacob looked up at the ceiling. The light was shining over the whole room. He didn't have a shadow, and his power was completely useless. I'll just sit down and wait for someone else to come up with answers.

Marie was very quiet, and while she was only thirteen, a little girl compared to everyone else, she had a distinctly eerie aura about her person. Though she faced towards the group of people around her, her eyes did not seem to focus on anyone. She did not snap into any sort of concentration until one girl began to bang on the door. Then another person, a guy, made her stop, and then somehow, made the air move. She listened to the two converse, and part of it registered in her mind. "Calm is good." She murmured, loud enough to be taken as a response, but not directed at anyone in particular. Her words came out in a monotone, void of emotion. "They can't break free if we're calm." She seemed to be talking to herself, not really aware of what was happening around her, her glowing silver eyes once more taking on their distant look. Nobody could be sure what 'they' meant.

Jia-Li
Jia-li was a bit annoyed that some people completely ignored her announcement that nobody was nearby. She completely. The little clown thing said that someone would be with them right now. Yet, nobody was here or detected by her abilities. That would have been a big enough indicator that nobody was coming. If she wanted prove a point and risk causing herself an enormous nosebleed then she could try sensing more people. Yet, she didn't because that wouldn't get anything. She turned her head to Nicole and gave her a good look. The person looked like a bird. That was pretty much all before she continued over to the door. Since she didn't feel like waiting around for everyone else to wise up and realize that nobody's coming. What's the worse that could go wrong? If they get out then they shouldn't be too much trouble for their impatience. Jia-li examined the door carefully. It was a large metal door with a handle-bar door knob, it didn't look too tough. There was a large square window at the top that was striped. When she looked out of said window the hallway out was dark. That means that the lights are off in there. Which wasn't too much of a deterrence to Jia-li. Her powers made it easier to see in the dark.
The window didn't look especially strong. While she didn't like showing off her abilities like this. Another thing she had to face was that the group was small, under ten people. Which means that their collective darkness wouldn't be enough to put her in the prime of her abilities. Jia-li stood a few feet away from the door and suddenly her entire eyes turned pitch black. An aura of black smoke with a strange liquid-like look to it surrounded her right arm and flowed off of her. She pointed that arm at the window and the darkness that she had created near instantly formed a liquid shell on her arm. Like an extension of her arm she made more darkness which ultimately formed a lance which launched at the window of the door, shattering the glass into several pieces. The darkness faded away without a trace. Jia-li with an arrogant smile on her face scrolled back over to the door and sort of climbed up through the window. She reached over and unlocked the door. Landing on her feet, she opened the door.
She turned back to the group and said, "I'm going to look around." Before taking one step through the door frame. The immediate hallway was unremarkable. At one end was a basic wooden door, and at the other was another door. There were several doors in between the two doors. Since the Administration building was essentially one big office there were literally a sea of papers. Each room containing valuable information on the students. However, this hallway showed the first signs of conflict, on the side of the wall was some bullet holes. Of course everyone but Jia-li would have the problem of the hallway being pitch black. Except for the door directly across from the current room. It would be wise to try to get into there before anything.
David
Dave started to zone out for a moment. He made the airflow in the room much stronger because the first time he tried he noticed something. This time he was certain. There was an air flow coming from behind the TV. Which meant that there must be a vent or something there. He ran over to the TV and amplified the airflow in this area. David grabbed the Tv and tried pulling it off with no success. He shouted back to the group, "Can someone help me pull this off?"

"I can," John said in his usual low growl. Internally, John was wondering why his voice sounded like he eats a bag of gravel for breakfast. John got up and went to the TV. He then realized why the guy wanted to pull the TV off. He was smarter than John gave him credit for. "Ready?" he asked.

Nicole was surprised to discover that there were scents coming in from the hallway. While it was pitch black, even by her standards, she could navigate quite easily with her other senses. She took a deep breath and let it out, sensing air ycurrents and analyzing what she smelled. She detected a burning smell, but it wasn't the kind that she associated with a normal campfire, or cigarette smoke. It was different, and a puzzled expression came over her face. Without another word, she proceeded into the hallway. Although it was extremely dark, Nicole's eyes were able to pick up faint images from light reflected into the hallway from the lit room behind her, and they were relatively unclouded, due to the lack of electricity. Nicole's night vision would only last as long as the light from the room filtered into the hall, however. She would soon have to use her other senses. With this in mind, she proceeded slowly and cautiously, without another word.
Marie's eyes slowly focused on the two people trying to pry the TV off the wall, and then looked at the angry dreadlocks guy. "You should help them." She said, her tone not changing at all. "Two of them are already trying. I seriously doubt they need a third. Unless they ask, I see nothing wrong with watching them." Tom replied, his voice cold, "What gives you the right to tell me what to do?" He snapped. "I have no right to do so, but I highly recommend that you not be angry. Calm is good." Her speech was educated, and somewhat blunt. Her eyes flashed a faint shade of red, before flickering back to silver.

What was that stuff? Jacob thought, It just came and then vanished! So she's psychic AND she's got black magic? What other powers does she have? Jacob started to wonder what all of the other guys powers were. That other girl had way better powers than him. Did everyone else too? Anyways, the door was opened, and that was the main point. They needed to see what was going on. He got up and walked outside. It was really dark except for near the room they started in, but that didn't matter. He liked the dark. Too bad he didn't have night vision or anything. He looked up and down the hallway. There were a bunch of doors, and that was about it. There was something on the wall too. Jacob strained his black eyes to see what it was. Nah, it's nothing. If there was something, he couldn't see what it was. Then Jay turned around to the rest of the group. "So, where do we go now?"

"No clue, I guess we should just open some of these doors and see where they lead to. Anyone else smell something burning? It's not a normal fire, or cigarette smoke, but it's sort of like sulfur, and it looks like a tornado came through here, a lot of debris. That would probably explain why our welcome wasn't quite as warm as we had hoped." Nicole's voice came from up ahead, but she was still far from exiting the hearing range of the others. She was also aware that she was probably the only one who smelled the scent, and it was for this reason that she described it to the best of her ability. It could be extremely irritating to try to compare the way she perceived things with others, because she was just so different. She knew her eyes were considered a deep indigo blue, which was considered beautiful, but when she saw her reflection, they just looked dark grey. How was she supposed to know what someone was talking about when she didn't even understand the concept of color? Colorblindness hadn't been a part of her power. She had been born with it. She shook her head, silently scolding herself for thinking about such an issue at a time like this.

Torre
He'd probably one of the last to come to. However he was awake whenever that girl had blasted open the door. He wished that he knew here name' but as they only just met he didn't really know anyone yet.
So he simply went out the newly made entrance. He could tell just by looking around that something really terrible had happened here. He'd heard that one girl who had wings talking about some sort of smell. He didn't smell it, but he did hear something odd. or rather he heard nothing witch is odd.
" No I don't smell it. But something is clearly wrong here. I don't hear much of anything. Normally I can hear the general activity of a large group of people, but this place is almost completely silent. It isn't natural"

"You're right," replied Jacob. "Isn't this meant to be a really big school? I'm surprised that there isn't a bunch of people walking up this hallway." Jacob walked further into the darkness and stopped at the closest door, waiting for the others. He thought about the situation for a moment. "Maybe the power's gone out in this hallway, and that's why there's nobody here, and why it's so dark. It makes sense once you think about it."
Jacob pulled his hood over his head. I don't get it, he though to himself, how come I feel so comfortable around people I don't even know? Usually I don't say anything! He kind of remembered that his mum had said once that Meta-Humans are more likely to be friendly around other Meta-Humans or something like that. This must be it. Once the rest of the group caught up, he should probably go through that door and see if there was anyone in there. Personally though, he wished it was dark in there too. He liked the dark.

Torre understood what this guy was saying, but he didn't understand what he meant.
" No I'm meaning the entire center. I Have really sensitive hearing. I can more or less hear everything going on right now. I don't hear much of anything at all. I hear some sort of noise nearby, but I don't know what it is. Other than than silence
Arloste
She'd woken up in a strange room. And not just that, in a room full of strangers. That wasn't good. That meant she didn't know how they'd respond to her if she didn't act right. Man how she wished that her brother was with her. Even if she was in the wrong he always made her feel like everything was going to be alright. He was suppost to be here with her, but she didn't see him anywhere. So for now she diceded to keep to herself while the others were trying to find a way out.
Cyex
Right now he was trying to dicide if he was going to help or not. He really didn't understand why they were removing the TV. Perhaps something to do with the air flow? Mabey one of there powers has something to do with air flow?
" Hey you two with the TV! Why are you taking it down? I might be able to help as well."

Jia-Li
Finally, someone who could at least partially back up her claims that nobody is nearby. She turned to Torre and blankly stated, "Yeah. I can't sense anyone other than us." Once again she could if she tried but that would likely be a waste of time. The only thing she did was open the door straight across from the room that they started in. The light carrying over from the last room illuminated well and the contents of the room were revealed. This room was nothing more than a small closet. Along the floor was a sea of luggage bags. All of them belonged to the collective students in the room. Jia-li was rather neutral to this news. She didn't have anything in her bags other than clothes and other essentials. She dived into the room and grabbed her bag and immediately went through it. Searching for her cell phone. In a few minutes she was done with no results. She let out a quiet sigh and left her bag in it's current state. It would be pointless to head out holding her bags with no where to put them. She stepped out of the room with a grim face on,
"I found our bags. But, I don't know where to put them..." She muttered. She looked down both ends of the hallway before looking at the rest of the group. Jia-li can see perfectly fine in the darkness, but didn't know about the rest of the group. She spoke again, this time with a bit more curiosity, "Can anyone light up the rest of the hallway? I don't think you'll want to hug me for vision..."
Drake
Drake heard what Jia-li said and decided to be the big man and took the initiative. While in the eyes of the group he would be helping them. In his eyes it a great opportunity to show off. The tinted goggles resting on his forehead were slide down to to cover his eyes and he raised his hand up into the air. His hand quickly started to glow white. White electricity danced across his hand and surrounded it quickly. His hand was completely covered with an electrical aura. His original hand was more like a thick, dark shadow now. He pointed his electrical hand down the hallway and it lightened up the area. Then he pointed his other hand down the other hallway and it did the same thing. Essentially turning Drake into a living flash light. "Check it out..." He smugly said.
David
With one pull David and John pulled the TV off. It's secures weren't very good to begin with, so that allowed them to pull it off with little effort. There were wires still attached, which made the TV hang a bit. With one strong pull however David ripped all the wires off--- finally to reveal a vent behind the TV with some of the wires leading into it. There was a vent. However, there was one problem with that. The grate was still attached and they needed to get it off. "Yooo, does anyone have a screwdriver?"

"Nice powers. My sis can something like that. She's suppose to be around here somewhere too, but I dunno where at. To be honest I'd her rather not be here. I don't like this place one bit. I don't have anything I really need out my luggage so I say we go ahead and look around somemore."
Cyex
So he was right. They were trying to get to vent. And THey needed a screwdriver. Looks like one of his oddities came in handy for once.
" Yeah! I have one. I normally carry a few around just in case something I'm working on breaks. I like messing with eletronics. It's my forte. Anyways her you go." So he started digging in his pocket for a moment till he found one and tossed it to them.
Arloste
They where trying to get out? Well that was a good thing. She didn't want to be in here any longer than she had to be.

Nicole winced and closed her eyes against the sudden light, but didn't say anything. She tracked down her luggage by scent and when she had finished, she pulled out a duffel bag that people told her was the most hideous shade of swamp green. Of course, considering to her everything was grey, she could care less. She zipped the bag open and rummaged through all the clothing, which was pretty much a bunch of duplicates of what she was currently wearing, until she pulled out a silky top that seemed to be patterned with different shades. She hissed under her breath like a fidgeting blue jay at the sight of it, and stuffed her things back into the bag, zipping it shut. She then picked it up with her leg, and after a few moments managed to get it around her neck. She leaned over somewhat uncomfortably with the weight of it. Being able to fly sacrificed dexterity and general strength, although she was sure a single clout from her wing could effectively injure a person. However, because her feathers had to be arranged a certain way, she couldn't use her wings to lift anything. "It's a mess, but aren't there supposed to be dorms somewhere? I mean, we still had our luggage here, so someone had to have prepared rooms." She said, her voice strained as she was half-choked by the bag.

To be frank, John didn't really care about this kid's forte or whatnot. He took the screwdriver and handed it to the guy he was helping. What were they going to do once they were in the vent anyway? The whole "air vent escape" thing was just a Hollywood invention. In reality, you either had to be a dwarf or a contortionist to pull it off. Something that was bothering him was why this place seemed abandoned. As soon as he got out of this room, he was getting out of this "academy". Safe learning environment his ass. He was probably going to have to fight half a dozen horror cliches before he got out of this place. And then he would probably discover it was some big government/rich white guy conspiracy. At least that was what he was betting on.

Tom rose to his feet, "Okay, this isn't going to work. Some of us can't fit in that air vent, and you're wasting time." He said, his voice cold. He looked at the locked door at one side of the room, and smoothed back his hair, although some of his dreadlocks quickly fell back in front of his eyes, "I'm getting us out, now." He said. With this, he backed up, got a running start, and charged at the door. There was a loud slam, and lights flickered as chunks of the wall came away, damaging some of the wiring. When he stopped, the door fell back to reveal a dark hallway. He had done that pretty easily, although he now had a few fresh cuts on his arms. He dusted some of the rubble off as he turned to face the group. He looked at David, "And that's how it's done. Next time you want to escape a locked room, try to break down the door before you resort to an air vent." Without another word, he turned and went into the hallway.
Marie stared after him, "He got mad, angry isn't good, calm is better. As long as we have calm, they can't get out." She said, somewhat repeating her previous statements. With this, she went right behind him, staring straight ahead with her blank gaze.

She was right. If someone had stowed thier luggage then that meant that there had to be some dorms ready for them. But where would that be? He didn't have any clue as to where they where or even where anything was in this place. If only they had a map of the place. That would help a lot.
"You're right, but where at? We don't even know the layout of this place, much less where we're even at. Does anyone even have a map? If could find one maybe we can find our way around."
Cyex/Arloste
Well That was brash. That's what he thought to himself. But it did work so he wasn't going to complian. At least they could figure out where they were now. And maybe he could find his tuff. He had a few things in there he wanted back. Mostly electronic stuff. Mostly he wanted his Phone though. But with that thought he started out the freshly made exit following his companions.
Arlost was hoping that they wouldn't leave her alone. She really didn't trust them, but she didn't want to be alone in a place like this either. So she shouted at the guy just about to leave the hole.
"Hey, Wiat for me.!"
Cyex looked back at the shy girl.
"Huh? Sure. I mean There's only one way out of this room so I guess you can come along."
"Thanks."

Lily, David, and Victoria

A collective, "What are you doing?" Came from the trio of Lily, David, and Victoria. Each in their own tones, and with their own emotions. When Tom ran through the door like the juggernaut. Lily was the only one who showed much emotion. Since she was in front of the door she had to move out of the way or risk getting hurt. David and Victoria were pretty expecting him to do that. His words and his positioning gave it away. David spoke in a cautious tone, "That's one way to do it..." He shrugged. David then stood straight up. He got away from the vent since there'd be no point in even bothering with it now. He was probably watching too many movies. He put his hands in his pockets before walking out into the dark hallway. This hallway was different from the other one, instead of having several doors--- there were only four. One across, and two at each end of the hallway. They didn't know it yet, since it was dark. It was pitch black and David knew he wasn't alone when he thought that nobody else was comfortable with wandering around in the dark. "Yo, does anyone else have any freaky tricks that'd give us light?"
Lily was less than pleased with Tom's demonstration of his powers. It was rather unnecessary when he could have just use that strength to simply break the lock. Instead of just charging at it and trying to look like a badass. "Big boy. You could have just used that size of yours to break the lock. My, oh my..." She muttered. Likely going to be ignored. For now she was just crossed her arms and causally scrolled out the door to the darkness. The first thing she did was bark orders at the group "Ayo, someone go across and look in that room," She pointed at the room directly across. This room would have the same thing that the other room had. The collective luggage of everyone in their group.

This statement... sparked an intrigue in Victoria. While she was sitting down she was listening to everything that Marie said. It was interesting to see that a little girl could be so apathetic, when girls her age should be full of emotion. It brought back a faint sense of nostalgia. Lonely, odd young girl. Victoria did have to note the color of Marie's white skin. Must be a side-effect of her mutations... Victoria's interest reached a peak and she had to ask the question, "Um, little girl. Hi, I'm Victoria. What do you mean 'they can't get out'?" Victoria was trying to sound friendly.

Douchy looking guy breaks down door. John wondered why he didn't ask anyone if they had super strength.
"Probably because you would get ignored," said the ever present sarcastic voice in his head.
Yeah, the meanest person to him was himself. Anyway, afterwards, the youngest girl said some stuff that wouldn't seem out of place in a b horror film or one of those Japanese animes some of the other kids at the orphanage were getting into. Everyone seemed eager to leave, probably to get their stuff. He brought nothing with him except for the clothes on his back. On his way out, he couldn't resist mocking dreadlocks guy.
"Looks like we have a badass over here," he said.
It wasn't the best nor the most original insult, but everyone wouldn't even notice it, so it didn't matter.

Jacob walked into the room with all of the bags. He picked his up and rummaged around inside it. There were a bunch of clothes, some comic books about The Phantom, a packet of mints… ah, there it was. He pulled out a small low beam torch that could easily fit in his pocket. He had originally brought it so that he could mess around with his power when it was dark, but it could light up the dark rooms a little now. Although he didn't really need it, now they had 'Electric Man', or whatever his name was. He popped a mint into his mouth and took out his watch as he zipped up his bag. I guess we go down the hallway now, he thought to himself. He tossed his bag to the side; he didn't need it anymore. "Has everyone else got what they need? We should probably go and explore the building." He walked over to the guys in the hallway. "We should expect the worst," he said, "who knows what might have happened."

Arloste\Cyex Light? She could do that. it was part of her Abilities. But then they would know what her power is. But that wouldn't be a bad thing this time. Right? After all she was with her own kind. they wouldn't judge her like normal people. And thsy's already showed several of thier own powers. It was only fiar is she did as well. Or at least one of them for now. They need not know everything she can do quite yet, if ever.
"Um excuse me? But I can light up the if you need it. Sorry I didn't speak up sooner. But All I have to do is think about it."
She could've did that this entire time? Well to be honest they really didn't need it till just a moment ago. Still knowing ahead of time that they had a human light with them might have been nice. But now that she said something she may as well go ahead and do it.
"Yeah sure please dol. I still need to find my bag. I have a few things in there I'd like to get back. I'm sure that the others wouldn't mind." He looked at the others for a moment."Right?"

Marie seemed to stare straight through Victoria, and reminded herself not to care about her, even if she seemed very nice. Her eyes flashed between red and purple, before returning to their usual grey. "All seven emotions, they are a part of me. I can't control them, and they sometimes escape. Calm keeps control, can't let Fury, Terror, and Avarice hurt anyone. They want to, but I won't let them. I am Apathy, I am here when they are not, but you make it hard for me to stay. You get mad, you have feelings that get hurt, and then you make them stronger." Marie didn't have a special name for them, but there were seven in total, not counting her. Her words sounded strange and cryptic, but they were actually very honest and straightforward. She looked after the dreadlocks guy and the others, her eyes momentarily snapping into focus, and her words taking a little more clarity, and a more sophisticated pattern, "He was angry at something, even before he woke up. He doesn't know how to be calm, and he directed it at the door when he broke it. He wanted out, like all of you, and now you are all mad at him because he didn't show restraint. He is not the one who needs restraint, it is me. If Fury gets out, it's my fault, and I deserve to be punished. Fury already smashed Dad's car, when it was needed for his work." With this, Marie's eyes suddenly stopped focusing, and her voice took on a distant tone, "I must count now...one...two...three...four..." She drifted off, her voice growing quieter and somewhat less strained, but continued to count on her fingers, as she suddenly walked away, following everyone else. Counting was no secret as a calming technique, and while it was rude, Marie could not afford to care about offending anyone.
Tom could hear people muttering things about him, but didn't turn around to shout, although he was greatly tempted to. "Sure, if you wanted to crawl through the ventilation shaft, go ahead, tease the guy that made life easier for the lot of you. I would have done it, anyway, did you expect everyone to fit?" He muttered under his breath. He was extremely irritated right now, with this whole day. First, you wake up in a room with a bunch of people you don't know or want to be around, and then the people in charge decide to leave you trapped. "Got a few words to say to whoever is in charge of this place..." He grumbled to himself. Nobody could really disagree with his last statement if they were listening, after all, everyone was pretty steamed about today. He didn't really respond to what anyone was saying, and it was for a very good reason.
Nicole struggled to respond to the others, half-choked by her duffel bag. "Well, I think I figured out that weird smell from earlier. I remember it from an old Civil War re-enactment I once watched. It's gun powder, I think there was a fight or something." She said, before shifting the bag again. Although she didn't say anything, she really wished someone would notice and ask if she needed any help. She was straining her neck in this position, and her back was starting to hurt, "Can we just go, then? Please? I think everyone agrees that it would be nice to get out of the building."

Interesting... Victoria thought to herself--- while it was rather macabre. It didn't take a genius to tell what Marie did. She's a powerful meta-human who will lose control of herself depending on which emotions she feels. Something along the lines of that. What exactly would happen? That's just a mystery that will not be solved. For the sake of everyone she will stay as Apathy. Hopefully nothing will trigger her and everyone will be safe until they figure out what's going on. Things may be sorted out soon. While it was overtly optimistic; she felt like this all could be one big test to see the group's resourcefulness. Who knows. Victoria didn't say anything to Marie and just started to hug behind the group, quiet. For now she was going to observe the group.
Lily

Lily almost immediately responded, "Then do it. We need to see in here unless we want to walk around running into walls and falling on our asses." Seeing herself as the leader of the group. It was natural, just in her blood. Her mother was a born leader, her father was a born leader. Now she was going to be a leader, now would be the perfect chance to assert herself. Lily ignored most of what Tom and the other guy said. Tom's response to the group complaining was rather expected. While John's was a bit snarky.
Drake and Jia-li
ViperaUnion wrote:

Jia-li turned to Nicole again. "Agreed." She spoke in a blank tone. She just picked a hallway and started walking down it. Drake followed behind with both hands in position to give maximum light coverage. While the group marched through the hallway towards the other end Jia-li decided it was time to get some names out of the way. "Hey, what's everyone's names? I'm Jia-Li."
Drake laughed, "Drake D. Blackmore. Nice to meet ya." When the group had went to the other end of the hallway, there was a wooden door. Unlocked, thankfully, Jia-li opened it up. The door opened to reveal; another slightly longer hallway. Drake's electricity had lightened the hallway a bit. This hallway looked the same as the last one, except for two things. This hallway lead off into another hallway with two doors which lead into offices. However, at the very end of the hallway there was a open door which lead into a staircase that had stairs going up and down floor. However there were doors on both floors which were locked. While there were two people who can bypass locks, they apparently didn't go anywhere desirable. They could lead somewhere. Back at the hallway with the current group, it had a door at it's end. Which was large and metal, and appeared to be locked tight, but it had an odd green light coming from under it. It looked difficult for the group to get into this one. However, there was a vent in the staircase, which in theory could allow easy access through all the school for certain people.
Drake raised an eyebrow, "Ya' know.... we should try getting into that." He just inserts. He wasn't in the mood to try knocking down the door or anything. Maybe someone had a power that allowed them to knock down big metal doors. Now, he wished there was someone who could phase through walls.
