Johnny

Lieo wrote:
"Look, I really don't like talking about this. But uh, my 'power' as people tend to put it is simple. I... I can move and sort of control living things, mostly animals and people, it's weird." He said, neglecting to tell him about his limitations too - in case he got too cocky. "It's incredibly weird and taboo. I don't like using it."

Immediately Johnny's entire right eye started glowing a bright yellow, and his expression changed to a more surprised one. Ironically, Johnny didn't like giving away his emotions in scenes like this, but he already basically gave them away to both Luce and Jesse. Not something he likes doing. It all makes sense now, why he's so confident all the sudden... His aura isn't lying, he's legit. Johnny immediately tilted his head downwards, letting his hat cover most of his face. He wasn't going to lie to himself when Jesse stated his powers; he realized why Jesse is so confident all the sudden. With the power to control people, out of every last one of these narrow-minded kids, Jesse actually had a power that frightened the mighty Johnny. Because as far as he could tell, he has no resistance against such powers--- Neither does Jake, Gabe or Sylvia. He only has resistance against physical attacks, not ones of the mental arena. While Johnny doesn't know the exact details of such a ability, and the limits on... He wasn't going to do anything stupid, and just assume that Jesse has the power to easily make Johnny kill himself here and now.

"That's..." Johnny faded off, unsure of what to say... Well, he was going to choose his words very carefully.

Lieo wrote:
"I don't need to prove myself to you - anybody who tries to make as many enemies as they can isn't worth it in my book. This... this isn't a super cool zombie movie where you cherry pick all the toughest and baddest guys around. I'm sorry. But... you're just making this a more dangerous place for yourself and whoever is following you."

Normally Johnny would have told Jesse to go eat some glass and leave--- Well, even now, he wanted to leave before Jesse does anything. Anyone who calls him out, for what he does, is an instant enemy in his book. But, Johnny got an idea... Maybe a stupid idea. But still an idea. An ability like Jesse's would be super useful on his side, ignoring the fact that he may not have much more usefulness otherwise. While it may not be the best decision later, Johnny was going to risk Jesse using his power on them, in order to get him on his side. Because as far as he's concerned the original "allies" he had here are all gone. TJ's missing, probably dead. Taylor scurried off during his conversation with Luce, leaving him all alone to handle this. Carole and Lemontea disappeared after the hospital raid. Which is all good. Just like the rules he always lived by; friends come and go. Luce and Jesse came, while everyone else are gone.

And Luce... While Johnny didn't like saying it; she could easily be one of the most useful people he's gotten on his team. More useful than his siblings. It'd be imperative not to lose her. Which meant that he actually wanted her opinion and input. But, I'll be ready for a betrayal, Miss Luce... I just don't want it to come to that. All he needs to do is convince Luce that of his intention of getting Jesse on their side, and they're all in for some happy fun times.

Shade wrote:
"Consider those animal metas. He could be useful, if you want to risk his powers on us. Either way, don't kill him. We'll mark ourselves as the traitor."

When Luce whispered into his ear, Johnny raised a curious eyebrow. So it would appear that Luce agrees with his plan to "recruit" Jesse. He had no intention of killing Jesse, merely because he isn't going to go around killing every single last person for little reason. Merely because if Johnny really didn't like Jesse, he would have left the guy to his own devices and get picked off by someone else. The Animal metas aren't really a threat to him. Even though Gabe pissed them off, Johnny could tell, just from the way they fight, that they would be easily defeated. They're still held back by things like morals, and humanity. Sociopathy got Johnny quite a ways ahead, and it will continue to help him. He leaned in to Luce, and whispered to her, "Wasn't planning on it, he may be worth more than I previously deduced...."

Now came the hard part. Recruiting Jesse would be hard, and it would take the right wording so that he doesn't get any further pissed off. Because, judging from his aura, he was the least bit pleased with Johnny. That just makes things much more fun, in the challenging way. He figured that he'd be straightforward with what he wants, "Now, Jesse... I know that you're smart enough to see through it, so I'm not going to bullsh*t ya'. Cuz' I'm no fraud" He started off his speech, blankly. Trying to hide that fear of Jesse the best he could. Johnny then continued, after nodding, "I propose a little deal between us three. You work WITH us, and we will do everything in our power protect you from anyone that looks to murderize ya'. And trust me, there's much more than a simple traitor out to kill you." Straight to the point, and sort of nicer than before. "If you don't want our help...? Then, I don't even know what to say. The people here aren't that smart in the head, and some of them might attack you if they ever found out about your gifts, which you can believe they will... I can keep them off of you because I, myself, am a top-tier meta-human. Only the best of the best can go one-on-one with me--- And I'm not gloating..."

Victoria

Victoria gained interest as one of the screens started showing footage of various patients around that time. Her eyes quickly found the one for Jia-li. She causally walked over to the plethora of computer screens and put her hands on the desk gently, leaning in closer. Watching the one that was showing Jia-li's room. She completely zoned out. She ignored everything else, even Damon. Who she still had doubts about. Then she saw it, the very reason that Jia-li is missing. She watched the recording of a person wearing black, army-like, armor, the Traitor. Holding a pillow. The Traitor got closer and closer to the asleep Jia-li. The video showed that the Traitor pulled a knife and started viciously stabbing Jia-li, and smothered her with a towel. "Oh my god..." Victoria muttered to herself as she watched with shock and horror. She didn't know how to respond to this other than with shock and sorrow. Then it was over. The Traitor just threw a tarp over the dead Jia-li and hauled her off to god knows where. Now Victoria really didn't know what to do. She was shaking, and tears just ran down her face, dripping down on to the desk. Saying that she was sad for Jia-li's death would be an understatement.

There she was, standing there, motionless, other than the shaking. Not saying a word as tears ran down her eyes. Who the hell would do such a thing...?

Lily, Drake, Jake & Lin

One thing that Livvy hadn't counted on was Lily's ability to sense Meta-humans. While nobody else noticed her scurry off, Lily's "sixth-sense" immediately alerted her of what happened. She turned to the group and looked at everyone who was here. Crystal, Lin, Jake... No Livvy. "Oh no you don't..." She muttered to herself as she focused to track Livvy. There, Lily sensed her going into the bushes. The last thing Lily was going to do was let Livvy scurry off and get hurt, not on her watch. She ran over to where Livvy was hiding, and reached in the bushes for the little girl, intending to pull out the girl forcibly if it came down to it. Lily hissed at Livvy, clearly not pleased, "Livvy! I said to stick close to us! You could get hurt."

Meanwhile... ((Since nobody posted, I'm forcing the plot along)) The three males who offered to scout the place really fast had finished. Fortunately there was no one around, and no threats, so far. The place seemed to be empty, a desolate place. Without a trace of a threat or life. There he stood, Drake Blackmore. In the "main hall" (He presumed) of the mansion. Nothing much. It was a large room, with a fancy white wallpaper, and smooth wooden floor. There was a foyer, stairs, up into the upper levels of the building in the opposite hall. Much like the rest of the building, the place was absolutely trashed. There were bullet holes in the wall, a large amount of footprints from boots, shell casings on the ground, and the various paintings were tilted. Yup. A great place to Drake Blackmore. He stood in the center of the room, with his scaly arms crossed and looking around. Well, he looked around the area and there's no traps or bad guys. In fact, there isn't even anything to be afraid of in here.

With that, Drake turned around and walked out the door. He stood to the side of the door and pointed into the mansion. "Just gave the place my rundown. No evil villains or spooky demons."

The group cautiously entered the building. Jake scrolled in first, quickly. Seeing that he has the ability to easily defend the entire group from hall. He stood in the center of the room, hands in pocket and examined the unimpressive looking main hall of the mansion. Having been in several mansions, Jake was easily able to tell that this place didn't look as nice as the other places... Disregarding the damage done to the place.

Lin followed, with a slight rush in her step. Like she really wanted to get out of here and into the mansion. She stood next to Jake and looked around. The inside looked worse than the outside. Like she had expected. But, she was going to head inside irregardless. There was something she needed to get. So, first distraction that comes around and she's going to slip away for a second and go find it. She was fairly agile in this form, and had telepathy. So, she could predict any attacks and dodge accordingly. "Drake are you sure there's no one here?"

As they entered the building, Drake walked into the hall and stood next to the rest of the group. He heard Lin's question and replied, smugly, "Yeah. I gave this place the... rundown." He was certain that there was no one here. Just in case, he was going to do something that he knew that the group would regard as stupid. He crossed his arms and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Yo! Is there anyone in here?!" His booming voice echo'd through the halls of the school. Drake didn't really care, since he knew he's strong enough to take down everyone that gets in his way.

"What?! Are you... Why'd you do that?" Jake asked, surprised of Drake's stupidity and brashness in his action. He looked around, surprised as hell. "Are you trying to draw them to us?"

"Well, look at it this way." Drake starts off, shrugging and smiling meekly. Speaking and appearing as if "Would you rather we run into whatever could be in here now? When the exit's right behind us. Or when we're in the deep and scary halls of this place and get caught off guard? Besides. You have me on your side."

Dragonfly followed behind the group, his skin flickering before changing to it's surroundings. A sound skin to that of a squawk escaped his throat as he jumped against the wall, kicking off it and getting onto the ceiling with a slight thumping sound. He crawled along after his allies, using the wall as his vantage point. He winced as Drake called out through the mansion. What was he attempting to accomplish? He dropped down to the ground, his body turning in mid air like a cat's so he would land on his feet. "It doessnt matter if anyone'ss here or not, Drake. Becausse if there iss, they know we're here." He hissed in an unamused tone.

"I dont want to go out looking for fights. I'd rather not encounter anything at all." He said, sighing. That possibility was gone now. "I've sseen deeper... creepier... and sscarier." Dragonfly said, mumbling to himself. A small glint caught his eye and he looked down. The shell of a bullet. He narrowed his eyes, kneeling down to grab it before picking it up and moving it around in his hand. It still had the smell of gunpowder on it. It was red and had a brass end to it. It looked much different than the other solid metal ones he saw lying around. He looked it over once again before casting it to the ground. Holes around the area allowed small rays of light to illuminate the dusty air, and upon inspection you could track the particles that flew through it. The sound of rain hammering against the shambled roof of the building was a constant ambiance. He could see puddles here and there where water had leaked in.

The building could no longer safe to be in. Dragonfly went down on all fours as he moved, as he had found the boot step among the dusty floor. He placed his own foot next to it to get an idea of how large the man was. His foot was about the same size as the print. He followed the print, coming up upon another, and another, separating himself from the group. There were shells laying around, and what looked like... a hand gun? It must've fallen out of someone's vest or hand. It was black, but it was coated in a thin layer of dust. Dragonfly had never held a gun before. He had never shot one, at least according to his memory. He had never researched models for fun or even for informative sake. However, he did know a few basic things. Safety, and the reloading button. He lightly blew on the object, causing the dust to fly off and settle elsewhere. He placed his pointer claw on the release button, causing the bottom of the clip to eject from the gun. The safety of the gun was on, he could see it at the back which would prevent the top of the gun to spring back after firing.

He grabbed the gun by the barrel, keeping his fingers clear of the trigger, with one hand, and took the magazine in the other. He could not see how many rounds were in the magazine, only that there was at least one bullet at the top ready to be deployed. Dragonfly would not know this, but that meant that there was a bullet in the chamber. Smelt the air, trying to see if the body of the owner was in the area. He smelt nothing. He sneezed from the dust in the air, before returning to the group. "Guyss," he began, coming back into their line of sight. "I found thiss." He said, placing the gun and the magazine that was in it separately on the ground. "I couldn't find the persson who had it before I found it, I think it might've been losst when thosse people... attacked."

The number of speech fillers that came from Charles mouth made it clear that he was struggling with a response. Emily's suspicions were confirmed when he told Nick that he'd copied his power. So back in the Education Wing, he must have some vision or extra sensory ability stored in his wallet. She glanced at the coin Charles presented, and back to Nick. Only a fool would believe that he did that on accident. His lips said one thing, but his body signals said another. She stared with an emotionless expression at the power thief contemplating whether she need take any action. Until now nothing had unsettled her, but the idea of anyone else using her power shook her to the core. So long as he keeps to himself he can live. For the moment. It was the presence of the two other meta's that deterred her. The likelihood of them just standing by while she butchered Charles was slim, besides that she wasn't a monster. Emily settled to give a warning, but waited for him to finish speaking.

So he has a brother and a sister, that may or may not be here. So long as they aren't like their dear little brother they will be fine. She did think it was unusual for someone to not know the presence of not one, but two siblings. Then again this wasn't a normal school. The subject wasn't given much thought, because her window of opportunity appeared A normal person might relate to Charles being frightened by recent events, but Emily just saw it as weakness. "Don't worry." She assured him. "I can't imagine what you've been though." Her demeanor changed suddenly in an attempt to throw him off guard. "But I can tell you it's nothing compared to what you're in for if you try that on me." she said icily.

Crystal and Jack
---

Crystal frowned when Drake yelled, his voice echoing throughout the mansion. He and Dragonfly did make a good point though- if there were someone in the mansion, they would already know they were here. She watched curiously as Dragonfly walked off and returned with a gun. "Well... that's... interesting." she let out a small cough before shifting on her feet nervously. "Maybe we should get rid of that or something." Sure, there were probably tons of meta humans in the Othergrounds that could cause more destruction then a gun, but she still felt nervous around one.

Jack laughed from the back of the group, "Or maybe one of us could use it or something. I mean, some of use might have powers that can't really protect them, so it would be good to have one at hand." He casually slipped his hands into his jacket pockets, "Sounds reasonable, right?" He wasn't referring to himself, though it may have sounded like it. He was just stating what he thought would be helpful, though the permanent smirk he seemed to have may make it look like he wasn't taking the situaton that seriously.

---
Lexy
---

Lexy stepped out of the hospital exit- she had decided that she would check on Reginald later. Maybe in a couple of hours from the current time? She shrugged to herself before noticing a group of four people- two boys and two girls. She smiled brightly before walking towards them, "Hey!" she smiled, stopping right beside Charles. She then remembered her encounter with Johnny and quickly added in, "Oh! also, please don't attack me- I'm not gonna hurt anyone, okey-dokey? I mean, I've already ran into a few people who thought I was when i wasn't so just thought to get that out there, ya'know? Anywhoooo, name's Lexy. Do guys need some help or anything?" She smiled, though she still had some worry in her mind of them accusing her of being the traitor. And she would be powerless right now, onsidering she had no form of defense whatsoever at the moment. Just hope for the best, right?

---
Faith
---

Faith opened her mouth to speak, but jumped when a voice that wasn't anyone in the current group spoke up. She turned to see where the voice came from. A girl that seemed a couple years younger... 14 or 15, maybe? She was in a brightly-colored sun dress and had curly hair Seemed friendly enough, right? The only problem was that the girl mentioned something about being accused of attacking? The thought disturbed Faith. She cleared her throat, "Well... I, um.... nice to meet you, um.... w-what??" she quietly said, though her statement turned into a question. The girl had just confused her. Coming out of nowhere rambling on about random things and attackers? Just something you didn't hear every day. Faith shrank back. She could just leave the talking to everyone else- sounded good to her.

Drake, Jake & Lin

"Well, uh..." Drake says, as his eyes went in the direction of his several team mates. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to loudly shout that... Then again, if there's anyone in here, the group will run into them. One way or another. Drake just prefer that'd they get it over with now, and kick the guy's @ss and move on. Not bicker over whether they're stealthy or not. He just crossed his arms and shrugged. Dismissing what Dragonfly said. He cautious looked down like he was unsure of something. He was still in his lizard-form he got from Dragonfly. As far as he could tel; he didn't exactly need the form anymore--- But, choose to stay in this form just in case. With these claws, Drake can tear anyone to pieces, and regenerate, and cloak... As far as he can tell, do everything that Dragonfly can do. Then he remembered his clothes that he left outside. He didn't want to run around shirtless the entire time. With the rain soaking his shirt, and he was afraid that someone might play a prank on him and snatch his clothes. He took a few steps back from the group, and eventually turned around.

Drake walked out the door to the mansion, well, he turned walking into running. Seeing that he didn't want to get ambushed, or be away from the group for too long. He was fairly fast footed in this form, surprisingly. Probably something to do with lizards. He made it to the part of the fence where his track-suit was resting, soaked--- Just as he expected it to be. He quickly grabbed both his tracksuit jacket and T-shirt. Drake didn't waste time with getting out of the rain, he ran through the front doors. Stopping with a skid.

When he made it back inside, he looked around and saw Dragonfly carry in a gun.

TheOperator wrote:

The three; Lin, Jake and Drake kept their attention on the gun, instead of Dragonfly. Their reactions were... Less than enthusiastic. To Jake it was a grim reminder of the carnage that engulfed the school. How he escaped it. Only by luck. Being at the right place, at the wrong time saved him, Johnny and Sylvia. Basically, if they didn't get out of the Detention Center right when the soldiers attacked, they would have shared the same fate as the rest of the school. Gabe probably would have been killed by Pestilence. Jake scowled at the sight at the gun, and looked rather awkward. He nervously looked away from the rest of the group. Trying to hide his emotions unsuccessfully. Not a word left his lips.

Lin didn't react much differently from Jake. The gun bringing back some frenzied thoughts of fear of being killed. Her eyebrows furrowed as she lightly bit her lower lip. Looking uneased. She wanted to say something but knew it would make her look like a fool in some way. Then she tried her best to collect herself. Enough to speak, "I... Don't like that..." She slowly states, unsure of how to put it. Lin was being truthful with what she was saying. She really didn't like the gun.

"I think we should get rid of that." Were the only words that scornfully left Drake Blackmore's lips. He easily picked up upon and noted the unease that Jake, Lin and Crystal were showing. A gun is something that they definitely shouldn't be playing around with. Even though plenty of people trapped here (Including himself) has a power much stronger than a simple gun. Though, not too many of them are strong enough to take a bullet.

Immediately, Jake raised an eyebrow. The Master Illusionist's opinion of Jack was less than pleasant. Mostly because Jack seemed annoying and very unintelligent. Jake crossed his arms and scowled at Jack. Bringing the gun along would be a dumb idea. Since they don't know how to use it; it's more of a risk to them than help. They'd be better off tossing it in the trash, and turning away from it. Of course, Jake didn't want to just straight up tell his opinions on the subject. No. He had to make an ass of Jack. He spoke very sarcastically, "Oh yeah, that is a great idea. We just have a random gun that we don't know how to use. Clearly, that means we should pick it up, and carry around a dangerous weapon. So that we can wave around and kill each other!" He smirked and looked at Jack carefully, awaiting a response, and reading his body language.

Charles

In response to this, Charles raised an eyebrow. He knew that Emily didn't like him that much. With the feeling being mutual. When she threatened him, he scowled and gave her a narrow, glare. With his right hand, he pushed his glasses up his nose the bridge [Of the glasses]. He wasn't really threatened by Emily, more of annoyed by her. Now Charles knew who to and not to trust. With Emily falling under the not to trust category. "Right." He nonchalantly says. Keeping his attention on her. Trying to appear the least bit fazed by her idle threats. He didn't want to start a fight, since he wasn't in the best shape to fight anyone. The only thing that was on his mind was finding out if Drake and Victoria are here. They should get a move on and leave Emily here, they have zero reason to bring her along. Even less than that if she's throwing threats around.

He was about to suggest that the three get a move on when a strange girl, much younger himself came out of no where and stood right next to him.

Celo wrote:

After Lexy stopped talking, Charles coughed, covering his mouth with his fist. The girl didn't appear to be that smart. If she doesn't want people to attack her, then why is she so damn close to them? Didn't make too much sense. Right now, Charles was rather agitated and fearful. In essence; he's not exactly in the right of mind at the moment. Which he hopes to correct by getting the hell out of this horrible school of nightmares. "... Uh..." Charles was unsure of what to say to Lexy, or what to think of her. So far, she didn't look like another Emily, that meant that he'd act a little bit more cordial towards her. "I'm Charles Blackmore... Aaaaand, what are you talking about?" He was unsure of what this babbling girl was talking about.

So, he asked.

Lexy looked at Charles when he asked what she was talking about.  Oops.  She should probably explain the situation.  They seemed new, like her.  "Weeeeeell, it'll probably be best to start from the beginning, then.  Don't worry, I can sum things up quickly."  Lexy let her smile fade to a frown as she thought back on the recent events.

"I ran into these two people- Hunter and Victoria- not long after waking up in the hospital.  They were looking for a key or something.  Anywhooo, while we were on our way to look, a cute slime monster attacked.  Since my power was useless at that point without anything, I kinda went to the cafeteria and got some knives to try and help, but then I ran into this other boy and girl named Tom and Marie.  Tom explained to me that there's a traitor and everyone is acusing everyone of being him or her or it or something, then I helped them fight a ooz monster.  Then Victoria and Hunter joined us then I left the group.  After a while I ran into this Johnny kid who held me at gun point... or finger point," Lexy let out a small giggle, "it's his power I think. Anyways, he took my knives and then sent me off.  How rude, right?

"Then I ran into this beat up animal meta- Reginald! His name was Reginald.  He had survived something called an Ashing.  So some of those funny eye robots took him to the hospital and I followed. Soooooo, now I'm here, leaving.  He's fine, I hope."  Lexy sucked in a gasp of air.  She talked a lot, but she hadn't been expecting to talk that much to sum things up.  She shrugged off the thought and smiled, "Weird stuff, right?"

Jack

Jack looked at Jake and began laughing. "Who said i don't know how to handle a gun? Anyways, if it makes everyone else uncomfortable then get rid of it. I don't really care." he in truth didn't know how to handle a gun, but he enjoyed the idea of getting under everyone's skin, mostly because of his idiocy and one-minded thoughts that were bent on tricks.

Nick

"Hmm...." Nick said, lifting one hand. The coin zipped over to his fingers, and he caught it in a fashion that showed control. He looked over the coin for a moment, thinking about his decision. "I'll let you keep it, BUT if you hurt yourself with it, I'd like to have it back. I dont want that kind of weight on my shoulders." he said. He had broken ribs, arms, and legs learning to use gravity just by getting up too high and loosing control only to fall twenty feet. He had been a regular to his nearest hospital about the ages of twelve to fourteen when he was learning to use his power over gravity. Because he had execrated healing, the rib breaks healed in about a week, and his any arm breaks in about two. His legs took about a third the length it normally would've taken, even when he shattered his right femur. His right leg still had scarring from surgery, to get the bone back in the right places, but after that, it healed very well.

"Think of it like a friends car. You can borrow it, but as soon as you scratch it, or in this case, yourself, I'm probably going to want it back." Suddenly, another girl a year or two younger than him ran over. She seemed overly energetic and was talking to Charles. In the mean time, Nick was thinking about what Emily had said to Charles. "Emily," he said in a very flat tone. "Please do not threaten my friend or friends again. I will not warn you, this is my kind request. But, because I wont warn you, if you do hold out on your threat, then I can promise you I can give you a first hand view of what Caden Zorich taught me how to do, and I can guarantee you, some of the things I know will make you wish you were dead if I acted upon them. I have no urge to become your enemy, but you are not on the right road to making friends." He said. He saw to the side, Faith had shrunken back at some of the conversation with Charles and the new girl, Lexy. He frowned, and wrapped and arm around her waist in an effort to comfort her. He had never been too good at relationships, so he didnt know if she would like it or not. He also did not know if Charles knew about them yet. "You alright?" he whispered down to her. "We can get out of here if you want."

His attention was brought away from Faith as Lexy brought up that she had encountered a survivor of ashing. On this campus, not too long ago! "One of the five percent?!" Nick said, his free hand flying to his forehead. "I have to find this person! I have to get a pencil and a not pad and take notes. This is massive! What an opportunity! This..." Nick said, realizing that he was loosing his cool, he took a deep breath and regained his composure. "...can wait." he said, containing his inner excitement. Caden would be proud that his apprentice would be taking notes on a victim of ashing for researches sake. At least, he hoped he would.

Dragonfly

"I will return it to where I found it then. Jack, sshut up." Dragonfly said curtly, nodding to the group for a minute before kneeling down and picking up the gun and clip. He, unlike the others, did not see it as a weapon or a means of self defense. He saw it as something far, far darker. Something no sane being would imagine it as. As he disappeared from sight to retrace his steps back to it's place, he put the clip back in the gun and examined it. This... this was a gift. A device to be used for means other than it's intended purpose.

It was an escape.

Dragonfly held the gun the way it was supposed to be held. His hand wrapping around the grip of the gun and his finger resting on the trigger. He looked it over from side to side before putting the gun to his head. He said nothing, as there was nothing to be said. He had an escape. Whatever god there was, if there was one, had sent him a gift. His time in hell could be over. No more Gabe, no more want to kill. No more attempting to press on in the hell on earth he had been trapped on for who knows how long. He didnt even know how long he had spent here. He didnt know his birthday. His mind constantly fluctuated and he had to run away like the animal he was just to keep everyone safe.

Gabe was right.

No... Gabe wasnt right. He still had people counting on him. He had Livvy, and Drake, and Victoria and Nick and Faith... He had people who were rooting for him. No matter how few.

No.

Yes.

No.

Yes.

End it!

No.

No. No. No.

Hissing, Dragonfly threw the gun on the ground and turned away from it, stalking back to the group. He was a bit angry at himself for even contemplating doing what he was about to do. "Letss get everyone elsse and keep going. I dont want to sspend the resst of the day here." He said as he came back into their line of sight. He was obviously angry and on edge, but from the aura he held it wasnt about not keeping the gun. It was for him to now and for them to never find out. And he would keep it that way.

Seth

A throbbing headache greeted Seth as he groggily regained his senses. He immediately recognized the white, utilitarian environment as the hospital. How did I get here? The gears in his mind rolled back to his last memories. He was working with his first mutant patient, in an attempt to help him restrain his power. The next thing he knew there was gunfire outside the lab, but that didn't explain what happened. Seth sat bolt upright in his bed. The student must been startled and lost control. Folded neatly at the end of the bed was the same outfit from that day, grey slacks with a black dress shirt. As he came around the cot, he spotted his favorite pair of loafers laid thoughtfully at the base. Thank god I don't have to wear this gown outside. He thought to himself as he properly clothed himself. The sound of pounding rain could be heard through the walls, and it didn't sound very inviting. His next course of action was to examine the accident report. This room had a mysterious lack of an eye, so Seth jumped on a terminal instead. Computers more reliable anyways. He entered his access code only to find there was no record of the event. After the gunshots this didn't surprise him.

Seth logged off and exited the room. He hadn't worked at the academy long enough to make any sort important breakthrough, but any information could be detrimental in the right hands. The hallways was an impressive maze of doors. He looked at the plaques above the two nearest to get an idea of the layout. His knowledge of modern architecture gave him a clue as to where the elevator would be located. Sure enough a few minutes later Seth strolled across the lobby and out the door.

Standing in the rain was a group of five students. Or what he assumed was five students, since none of them looked very old. However, Seth knew that looks could be deceiving. Among them was a face he recognized from a file, from what he could tell from his time here no other meta dressed quite like her. As he approached there was no mistaking it, even her outfit was the same down to the finest details. He found this unusual but didn't say anything of it. She was a special case, in fact he was supposed to bring her to the lab next. His understanding of her situation was that not that she couldn't control her power, but that she had complex personality disorder that made her prone to violence. There was nothing even alluding to her power in the data, which made him think the school also had trouble discerning her exact ability. He stopped just outside the circle and said "My name's Seth, I'm a teacher here." His hand extended forward so he may properly introduce himself. "I've been out for a few days." He took a look around. "Things are worse than I feared."

Emily

Emily got the response she was expecting. She easily read Charles expression, and knew where his head was at. "Don't believe me? Try it on for a size." Playing with people was a something she enjoyed. Her last statement was meant to give the impression that it wasn't Emily who'd make his life hell, but the power itself. The only person who knew if that was true or not was her. She then turned to Nick and said "Don't worry, I'm not looking to hurt anyone." All the fight in her eyes disappeared.

A girl came out of the hospital and joined them like she knew one of them, but that impression quickly faded. Lexy came off as an airhead, and looking around it didn't seem that she knew anyone in the group. However she seemed like she might be easily influenced, so Emily decided to be cordial to her. "Nobody is going to attack anyone." She cast a glance towards Nick and continued. "Nice to meet you, I'm Emily." The girl stole most of the conversation spotlight, going on about other people she met and places she'd been. Ooze monsters and the traitor caught her attention. Right when she was about to ask more a man exited the hospital. He carried himself with confidence and headed straight for the group. Emily caught his gaze on her for what she considered an uncomfortable amount of time. Upon completing his introduction he reached out looking to shake anyone's hand. "I'm Emily, nice to meet you." She replied. Her hands were full, so she gave Seth a respectful nod instead. Something told her that her social games wouldn't work on him.

Olivia "Livvy" Averton

Quote :
"Livvy! I said to stick close to us! You could get hurt."
Livvy immediately went into half-serious pouting mode. "Awww! How'd you even find me?" Livvy asked, exasperation evident in her tone. This was the second time she'd tried to sneak around and gotten caught by Lily. Lily must've been, like, really good at hide and go seek. This was getting ridiculous. Livvy chewed on her thumb for a minute, poring over all the explanations for being found that her mind could offer. None came up. Slightly frustrated, Livvy emerged from the bushes, looking at the abandoned house.

"C'mon! Why'd you let me come if you're not gonna let me go explore in the house! You shouldn't worry about me getting hurt, I can't get lost and stuff! It just doesn't happen to me! I bet I could find my way in and out of there like way better than you could. Please please please. There's gotta be some cool stuff in there or something." Livvy wriggled free of Lily's grasp and huffed, pulling Dr. Teddy back out of her pack. "They ruin all the fun," she muttered quietly to her best friend. However, her second-best friend soon emerged from the mansion, and Livvy eagerly abandoned Lily to go see if she could persuade Dragonfly into letting her go into the house. And then if they still said no she'd just run in anyways! Maybe Lily had seen her hunkering down in those bushes, but Livvy had a good feeling she could escape them in the mansion. Probably a ton of small corners for her to duck in. Once, she hid herself inside a cabinet for like six hours and nobody found her in a game of hide and seek. Mostly because it was at her house and no one else was playing. She had to pretend sometimes.

Livvy, however, went pale when she saw the handgun in Dragonfly's hand. Not that the gun scared her-well, it did, but that wasn't her primary concern. The tremors of guilt quickly began shaking down Livvy's arms and legs and the straps around her shoulders suddenly began clawing into her flesh, weighing far, far more than they should have. She met clutched Dr. Teddy with an intensity that, if she'd been hugging a person, would've hurt them, and stared resolutely at her own feet, not saying anything. The occasional flicker of multicolored light danced around her shoulders, but she didn't seem to notice at all: all previous fascination with the inside of the house was gone, and she shyly maneuvered behind the hulking Dragonfly to help hide herself from the big kids.

--

Luciana "La Cordera" Rojas

"...and only those with about fifty dollars can go one-on-one with me," Luce muttered very quietly under her breath as Johnny finished his boast. Speaking more audibly, she added, "And I don't know about my partner-" her use of the word partner left its connotations somewhat ambiguous-business? Romantic?-"here, but I have a bit of experience in these types of situations. Murderizing ones." Luce spoke murderizing so confidently she may have confused it for an actual word. The woes of the language barrier. "You do not want to be on your own when things here go to hell. It's a matter of time until those soldiers come back to finish the job, or until the kids who are here start turning on each other. Strength in numbers, Jesse. I do not mind this proposition of yours, Johnny...three's a fun number to have. If you want to walk away, I wish you no harm. I'd hate to mess up that pretty face of yours. If you wish to come with us, we could make good use of you-and vice versa. I think that is what you would like-and provided you do not attempt to betray us..." Luce drew one of her revolvers, inspecting it nonchalantly-the threat, however, was clear-"...I think we will get along just fine. Besides, I think Johnny's taken, and a poor Columbian girls needs someone to introduce her to this country of yours, eh? I don't think my prospects with his little brother are too great, either." Luce tucked the gun away, grinning.

Quietly, to Johnny, she murmured. "I like him. And besides, it is better he is with us than against us. We should keep in mind how much bigger want this alliance to get-the more people we have, the more likely the traitor's with us."

Luce mulled over their current situation. In her mindset, she represented finesse and dexterity: she was confident she was faster than Johnny, if only by a bit, and definitely a better shot than either of the two. She also had a few subtler advantages: she didn't know if anyone left alive in this place was itching for a fix, but she'd been carrying when she got knocked unconscious and brought here. Luciana Rojas held a monopoly on the black market of the Othergrounds at the moment, and she felt it may prove useful sooner or later. Beyond that, the guns were far more effective psychologically than they were physically. One of the many things she admired about them. But there were the other members of their trio to consider: Johnny, as best she could tell, had the most raw strength. The specifics of his light form weren't entirely clear to her, but he seemed confident in that he was more resilient and more powerful than he was normally. Particularly with negative energy fueling him-and his status as a walking lie detector would serve their alliance and inconvenience her. Darling, it's so much harder to annoy people when they aren't sure what you mean. Meh. At least I'm confident no one can delve into my thoughts here, unless somebody else speaks Spanish. Read my emotions all you want, Johnny. There isn't much diversity to them. And finally, the brains-relatively speaking. As far as proper education went, she was easily the worst of the three-but in pure intelligence and cunning, Luce had yet to see who was smartest. But it seemed Jesse might hold more power over the mental aspects of things than Johnny did, and only time would show how effective he was at truly controlling minds. His ability to influence them mentally unnerved her, just a bit, but if it was truly powerful, he wouldn't need to ask to join them. Unless he's doing it right now, getting in your head. It is of no consequence-you cannot change it if he is. Just be aware for subtle influences. Stay alert, Luce, and you'll be back home soon enough.

Faith looked up at Nick when he placed an arm around her waist and asked if she was okay. She blushed a little. While she wasn't used to such contact, it relaxed her. Faith smiled and nodded. "I'm fine, but thanks," she whispered back.

When ashing was mentioned and Nick spoke up, Faith was shocked as well. She had only just learned about the process, but it sounded bad and only five percent lived. She frowned, deep in thought. What made this Reginald fellow grossly overuse his powers? Was it something at the Othergrounds? She wouldn't be surprised if it were.

---

Lexy winced when Nick asked about Reginald. She thought back to her conversation with the animal meta human, and how he didn't seem right in the head- even her naive mind picked up that much. Lexy quickly shook her head, smiling nervously.

"You wouldn't get much out of a quick chat. He was, like, saying everyone including himself was dead. Also the eyes had to give some medicine to make him pass out in order to get him to the hospital. I think they said he was suffering from depression, lack of food, and from injuries. It was soooo sad," Lexy's expression turned sad for a moment but it didn't last long as another person approached. A teacher? Great! Lexy smiled, shaking Seth's hand for a moment. "Hey. Nice to meet you, Mr. Seth, I'm Lexy." Lexy had made sure to say "mister" before Seth, since he was a teacher, after all. She wondered what Seth would have taught if the Othergrounds had actually been a successful school and not a death trap, but gave up on trying to figure out. It didn't matter at the moment anyways, right?

Charles

Charles was pretty much just ignoring most of what Lexy said. Because most of it was information that was of little use to him, and, more importantly, this is the second time that Victoria came up in a conversation. Even though it probably isn't a good idea to gloss over things like "Traitors" or "Attacks". Funny, she isn't the social type, but her name sure comes up a lot. Going on what Lexy just said, she must have run into Victoria, and see her in person. This could be another person or his older sister. He needs more details. The very second that Lexy stopped talking, Charles pushed his glasses up his nose, by the bridge, nonchalantly saying, "I see." He looked around, and saw the conversation going on around him, but he has to know if she's here.

If Lexy did see his Victoria, then she would confirm his spot on description. That he was about to tell her, of course. "Okay, about Victoria..." He started off, preparing himself to preform several hand gestures to correspond with what he's about to say. "... Is she about this tall? Looks Asian, but is really part British, like me? Has black hair? Is a bit wide...?" He spoke curiously, and kept his attention on Lexy. Until everyone else said something of relevance.

"Thank you! I promise you I'll only hurt the bad guys!" Charles says, enthusiastic as always. He was more than confident in himself that he won't f*ck this up. He can't wait to get started on his training with this ability. However, in the time he's here, he'll never be able to match the skill that Nick has. It took him awhile just to get Sand Manipulation down, and it'll probably take ages for him to learn this ability. "I'll use this ability for a good cause..."

Veriska wrote:

"Perhaps I misinterpreted what you said..." Charles said, sounding rather low and soft. He didn't know what to think of Emily, other than the fact that he thinks she's weird. First she's sort of nice, then other times she's throwing around what could be interpreted as threats. All of it is an enigma. Perhaps he'll find out what after digging into Emily's psyche... Maybe he shouldn't even try to go that far. The girl isn't someone he enjoys being around, and perhaps it's best that they split up here. Charles didn't want to drag her along when they go look for Drake and Victoria (His main objective).

The second newcomer to their group was something less than expected. He was older, and he called himself a teacher. Which was kind of interesting finding a staff member. Makes him wish that he was here long enough to get some classes on how to use his powers effectively... Actually, he wished he was never here. This place is hell. "Uh, hey, Seth... I'm Charles Blackmore." He introduced himself, sounding a bit nervous. Declining to mention that he's a DJ back in his hometown. Charles was a bit cautious of the fellow, and his body-language sure would tell anyone with an observant eye. There was one question that Charles couldn't resist asking, merely because of his status. "So, uh, do you know the way out of here?" He spoke with a forced cheery tone, and an equally forced smile.

Please god say yes...

Drake, Lily, Lin & Jake

TheOperator wrote:
"Letss get everyone elsse and keep going. I dont want to sspend the resst of the day here."

Now that Livvy was back with the group, Lily returned to the group and stood by Drake's side. With her arms crossed and an unamused look on her face. She didn't like coming here, but she disliked Livvy trying to run off even more. She looked around, everyone appeared to be here. Dragonfly was urging them to move, which was something that she's more than happy to do. If they are so eager to come all the way here, they might as well find something useful here. She slowly turned her head to Dragonfly, "Agreed. Alright let's get a move on." With that, Lily turned away and lead the group, with them following her. To, was the question. The only plan that she had in mind was wander the mansion grounds until they find something of note. Which is not too bad of a plan since they had no clear objective in mind when coming here. She figured that they'd find something of note here. Drake walked by her side with his hands behind his head and looking nonchalant as always.

Eventually, the group finally found something of note. A large wooden door, blown open just like the the front doors. There seemed to be extensive damage to the surrounding area as well. There also seems to be signs of a high amount of movement and activity. Footprints, both in and out of the room, scratches that indicate something was being dragged out of the room, and shell casings. They could see inside the room and saw that the room seemed to be made out of tiles, and has a very high-tech lab-like appearance. The room looked pretty big from the small window. With several mechanical devices and computers. The room appeared to be the Headmaster's personal workshop... But, looked to be in a state of disarray. From first glance the room seem to be missing objects, where there obviously used to be objects. The group stood outside the doors, unsure of what to do.

"So... Judging from the exploded door and the several hundred drag marks..." Drake says, preparing to make a smartass remark. Crossing his scaly arms as he did so. "... There must be something important in there." He was intentionally being obvious. He shrugged, "Well, could probably say there used to be. But, what the hell; we should give the place a look."

To Lin, this could possibly have the very thing she was looking for. She needed to urge the group to go inside, because she can't go in there alone. She could easily be ambushed and killed. "I believe this could be the Headmaster's workshop... There could be someone in here I can't sense them from right here." Lin tells the group.

Now was Jake's time to shine. He was finished putting everyone else in harm when he has the ability to easily go in there and find out. "No need, I'll find out." It was about time that he used his illusory duplication technique. Which he hasn't used since the incident at the Detention Center. Jake snapped his fingers, which loudly echoed through the hall. He created a duplicate of himself, merely a few feet from himself. He could control this illusion like he controls himself, and see, smell, hear, tell and touch, all though the illusion. He was in the mood to say something grandiose and flashy, but choose not to. He wants to impress Lin through his self-control. The duplicate of himself scrolled inside the room, while the real Jake pulled out his pocket watch. Not looking at the time, but just keeping it in hand. Meanwhile, the duplicate of himself did it's work. By looking around the room, there seemed to be no one there. The duplicate came back to the group, and shattered. Jake held the pocket watch in hand, with a smug look on his face. He closed his eyes and shrugged, "I just did my illusionist magic. There's no one in there." He says. He let his ego slip again.

"You know Jake..." Drake started off, putting his arms behind his head, and slouching back slightly, with a playful look on his face. "... Your illusion powers never seem to fail to impress me, but couldn't you have done that earlier when we were about to come in here, heh?"

"... Oh, I could have..." That ego slip quickly disappeared as he realizes his blunder. Meh. People forget things and make mistakes from time to time. Jake is no different.

After that, Drake walked over to the destroyed door, and leaned up against the side. With his arms crossed. "So, once again, ladies first." He made a "come in" hand gesture.

((I'll have to describe the headmaster's workshop later. SCREW YOU SHADE))

Vito

tunes:

There it was.

A discarded rifle, unknown model. Vito's far from a gun expert.

Yet another sign that this place went to hell.

Maybe this was all one big joke, and the charming TV personality will come out and affirm him...

... But the longer he wanders this desolate place, the more and more apparent the truth becomes. Victor Jonah Villarian has barely been here for a few hours, being sent to this place very recently. The monstrous lightning storm that was Claire's burst, snapped him wide awake, and saw the horrid clown mascot. Which made him consider suicide. Immediately, he realized that he was without his whips, cellphone, or anything he needed. He's practically defenseless, and scared. Vito looked down and looked at his outfit, the same one that he had when he was shipped off to this cursed place. His outfit was mostly white colored. He had a white denim jacket, with a white and black striped t-shirt underneath. He wore white knuckle-less gloves. With blue, tattered and damaged jeans, with heavy work boots on his feet. He wore a white and red (vertically) striped fedora. The only thing that was missing was the bull-whip that is supposed to be resting in his jacket. The only thing he has is some change. He'll have to endure. Afterwards, he escaped the Administration wing, all the way outside. Wandering around the empty school dorms, letting the rain hit him. For some strange reason, the rain is attracted to him. As in it subtly changed course towards him, meaning that even more rain hit him. Soaking his outfit completely. A side-effect of his power, something he's gotten used to. Fortunately, Vito preferred rain over being pelted with say, bullets. He walked through the rain, hoping to find someone, until he saw it. The aforementioned rifle. Discarded by a soldier of sorts. It was surrounded by shell casings.

It was... Scary. He stopped for moments to stare at it with a face of utter despair. He was unsure of what to do. It took him a few seconds to regain himself and think like he usually does. Since there's no one aiming the gun at him, he felt a bit at ease... But, he never knows. It'd be best if he gets rid of the gun. He carefully picked up the gun by the mid-section, trying his best not to put his finger near the trigger. Vito then slowly walked, holding the gun with his arm extended as far as it can go, holding it like it was a bomb. Vito then just carefully lowered it into the nearest trashcan and deemed himself "done" with it. Vito has little to no use with a rifle, merely because his ability is a hundred times more useful than an actual gun.

With that done, Vito moved on. He read the campus map and has learned that there's a dormitory. He went towards the large building in the distance that so happened to be the dorms. His steps made a splashing noise. With every step he took, he got the feeling that he was being... Stalked. Like there was something out here following him. Which was more than enough reason to pick up the pace. He made it to the main entrance to the dorms. He quickly marched inside. Vito's main goal here was finding some people to kindly point him in the direction of... Whatever. He was unsure of what the hell he was even looking for. Perhaps his stuff. He would feel a lot more comfortable with his slingshots and whips by his side. Hell, maybe his BB Gun that he packed with him. Because this looks like a place where he would like to be armed with a bit more than a few rocks and pocket change. As he blindly went deeper and deeper into the dorms, he heard some talking going on. Immediately, he changed course towards the source of the chattering. Because this could be exactly what he's looking for, civilization! However, he still remained cautious as he just peaked around the corner. Showing the top part of his head, and his eyes. When he saw the source of the talking, he couldn't help but quietly say to himself, "The hell?" They looked like the bastard children of man and animal. They were the only people he has found thus far, and they could help him, but he couldn't bring himself to get from around the corner and talk to them.

So there he was. Nervously watching the group from a distance, cautious as ever...

Well, he was cautious because they didn't look human. Vito has never encountered meta-humans like them, and they scared him in general because they're the first people he's come across here. They're likely to be hostile as they could be friendly.

just a random song:

Lexy and Faith
---

Lexy looked at Charles in surprise before smiling.  He had explained Victoria perfectly. "Yep- exactly.  You must know her then, right? Are you two friends or relatives or what? Anyways, she's nice. So is her friend Hunter, though he seems sad sometimes, I think.  Then Johnny thinks he's the traitor, but I don't think so, ya' know? Like I said, everyone here is overly cautious."

Faith meanwhile, looked hopefully at Seth when Charles asked about knowing an exit.  She didn't like this place- it was just a deathtrap, in her mind.  She scanned the area nervously at the thought.  She then noticed a eye passing by.  Faith smiled to herself, taking Nick's advice to thought as she changed the eye's priority to protect her rather then cleaning.  The eye froze in the middle of the rain before turning to Faith and approaching her.  "How may I help you?" it questioned.  Faith couldn't help but feel proud of her success.  "Um... nothing at the moment," she smiled.  The eye remained where it was, "Okay," was all it replied with as it remained beside her.  Faith shifted around on her feet anxiously.  She wasn't used to practically showing off her powers to everyone, but she figured it was fine, now.  After all- this is a school for meta humans and the majority of the people currently around her are friends, right?

Seth

Seth acknowledged Emily's greeting with a similar motion of the head. He then shifted his attention to the smallest and presumably youngest student, Lexy.  "Nice to meet you too." The man's handshake was firm, but not painful. Some of the other students looked at him with expectation. The slightly shorter, more formally dressed of the two black haired young men came forward and introduced himself as Charles Blackmore. His voice is unstable and he's a little shaky. "Likewise" he replied genuine tone. Seth saw the question Charles posed in his eyes before he voiced it. He returned his gaze and said "There's no easy way through the dome, but that isn't to say we're trapped here." In his peripheral vision a eye approached. He darted into his his pocket and came out clutching an identification card. "This facility could only have been compromised from the inside, which means there's a traitor afoot." He looked to the eye and then to Faith, a knowing smile crossed his face. "Very good. This is the type of thinking that will get us out of here. My job specifically is a power instructor and I can help any of you achieve your full potential." Seth held out his ID and said "The Eye can confirm my story."

Emily

Emily didn't say anything back to Charles, which she knew was fine my him. The newcomer was much more collected than him or any of the other students, so she gave him her undivided attention. Or at least until a Eye came straight for the group. Seth finished on the note of being a power instructor and offered his ID to be checked. That was proof enough for her. Only a fool would let five mutants catch his blatant lie. Nonetheless she waited for the scan result or the others opinions.

Charles

A warm smile crept up on Charles face. Lexy had mostly confirmed that Victoria is here, and going off from Nick said; Drake must be here too. That means he would have two people here that he certainly knows will have his back, no matter what. In turn, he'll have their back. However, he was quite a bit annoyed knowing that they're (probably) Meta-humans and didn't tell him. "Yes, I do." Charles starts off, meekly, "She's my older sister. Victoria Blackmore." There was some things that he was a bit confused about. For starters, he knew Victoria certainly isn't the social one. Perhaps because he doesn't know the exact details of what's going on. Then there's this Traitor... Charles wasn't paying too much attention to what Lexy was blabbering on about before because it seemed irrelevant. Now, Charles felt like (even more of) an idiot for doing so. He needed to dig into Lexy for some more info--- Which should be easy since she's giving him way too much information to begin with. So far, this "Johnny" and "Hunter" seem to be involved in this. However, Charles has no idea who these people even are, but he would have to keep note for future.

Perhaps the best person to talk to about this "Traitor" would be his sister. Still, he would like to get as much out of this talkative girl as possible before they go. "Look... I need to know about this 'Traitor' you keep mentioning..." He said it like he confidently knew that Lexy mentioned the Traitor earlier. "I mean..." He was unsure of how to say what he really meant, "What the hell did he did that'd make him a Traitor?" Not the best way to word it, but that was the best he could come up with, short term. Just to be sure, he was going to be extra cautious around people.

The only thing Charles did was watch, with a raised eyebrow, as the Eye robot-machine-thing came out of no where and just strangely went over to Faith. Like she was it's master, or something. The last time he recalled, Faith's power relates to electronics? He didn't remember. Perhaps he could... Hm, he should ask next time he tries to copy someone's power. Someone might go off and take it the wrong way. He should respond to this some how. "Wow, that's pretty cool, Faith..." He faded off, with his eyes nervously peering to the side towards Emily, then Seth. "... What'd you do?"

Seth's sentences made Charles have mixed reactions in himself. Some good, some bad... Well, mostly all of them were bad. Seth knows not a way out, and the school may have been betrayed from the inside out. Once again the Traitor came up... For a second Charles pondered if there is a connection between this Traitor and the school getting attacked. "I see." He says, trying to hide that hole of hopelessness and despair in him. "Then, I guess I have some work to do." Charles spoke nonchalantly. If he in his normal state of mine, he'd speak it more cheerfully, or determined.

Veriska wrote:

"Oh? You're a trainer?" Charles asked, repeating what he essentially already heard (Still not mentally). He 100% swallowed the story because of his own nativity. There was little reason not to believe him, unless he was trying to trick them. Even then; with Nick on his side, then he could easily be defeated. "I came here for that very reason." He started off, trying to force an enthusiastic tone, but failing horribly. "... Maybe we can get some lessons in? I... uh..." For a moment, Charles considered telling Seth his power, but choose to save it for later. May alienate him.

Charles felt like they were mulling here. They weren't getting anything done. He just wanted to feel confident enough to walk these grounds alone. However, with things like monsters and "Traitors" running around the school, he knew it'd lead to his demise. He could urge them to go, though, "So, guys. I kinda want to, you know... Find my brother and sister... Do any of you know where they are or could be?"

Drake, Lily, Jake & Lin

Tunes:

The group entered the room one at a time, with Drake coming in last after everyone else was inside. The room was exactly what it was like from first glance. A large room made out of white tiles, and looked very high-tech and scifi-like. There was several rows of counters where objects were rested, before they were pilfered. The room was large, about the same size as the main hall they were in earlier. Scattered throughout the room was an assortment of tools and other materials used to build inventions. Just regular, basic, tools/materials. The truly valuable items were taken by the soldiers that attacked the school, leaving behind few items--- That could be useful to the cast. To the right of the entrance, there was a very large computer to the left, attached to the wall. That seemed to have been custom made by the headmaster, and was massive. While the computer seemed to have been damaged a bit, like the soldiers who attacked the school, and this building specifically, tried to move the computer. However, it was thoroughly built into the building itself, making it hard to remove without causing irreparable damage to it. So they left it there, damaged, but still functional enough for whoever to access it's digital contents. There was a screen-saver of fish in an aquarium.

Immediately, Jake went over to the computer to investigate. He knew a little bit with computers, nothing special or remarkable, but could help him here. This computer could be just the thing they need to get out of here. Jake stood over the keyboard, putting both hands on both sides of it. He slowly used his right index finger to press one of the keys on the keyboard. He was partly expecting a big old screen that would ask for a password. Only to see that the computer is already unlocked. How exactly was the question. Maybe it was left unlocked by accident? Perhaps the Headmaster is confident enough in his own defenses to leave this unlocked? How about... Jake thought about the options in his head, before just passing it off as luck. In a place like this, we'll need lots of it. He decided to dig a little bit into the headmaster's files, he typed and typed and moved the map around. Masses of files were missing. Like they were being deleted, but the process was abruptly stopped. There were still plenty of files left. Of course, it was an ineffective and rushed attempt to get rid of files. Anyone with a mind on computers will know that recently deleted files linger for a period, and can easily be recovered with the right software... Which they don't have. Digging deeper into the headmaster's computer came up with little of use to them--- However, they were of note, meaning they were interesting to Jake. Enough for him to open every file and look at them.

Most of the files on the computer were just blueprint designs and ideas for inventions. There weren't too many of these files, since most of them were deleted (Along with the designs for the perfected inventions). They were still in the "planning" stage apparently, but still were quite notable.  Designs for Cybernetics, new Eyes, mundane objects... Then it got quite interesting. Jake came across a massive folder, that made up most of the remaining data, named "PROJECT OLDRETURN". Naturally, he looked into the folders and exclaimed, "What the hell...?" These weren't just designs for something useless. These were weapons, and tools... Specifically catered to combat Meta-humans. Devices that would depower them completely, weaken them, track them, and contain them. It would appear that some of the devices themselves may have been taken out of the planning stage. These files were years old, and that could have been enough time to complete them. Jake just stopped, and looked a bit surprised that he'd find these on here. Every device that wasn't in the planning stage was removed from the computer, that left a bit of ambiguity about what really happened to these devices/designs.

Mostly who got their hands on them.

"So, what is it, Jake?" Lily says as she walked over to Jake's side, crossing her arms, as she watched the master illusionist do his magic on the computer.

At this point, Jake figured that he'd tell the group at large, "Guys... There's some stuff on here..." He started off, standing up and facing the group in the process. He spoke a bit nervously, and there were some slurs in his speech every now and then, "... The headmaster was making weapons--- Or I think he was planning to make them... For fighting Meta-humans. Inventions for tracking them, taking away their powers, and... That stuff." Jake was unsure of what to make of this. Maybe it was for the best of intentions. He hadn't known the headmaster himself, merely because the man spent the days up in his mansion.

Meanwhile, Drake had cleared himself one of the counters and decided to relax a little bit. He got up on it and lied down, with his hands behind his head and his legs crossed. He wanted a cigarette, but Drake wanted to avoid smoking in front of Livvy. She's young and impressionable. When Jake delivered his news about what he found on the computer, he didn't show any reaction. In fact, he was 100% nonchalant. "Heh, a headmaster of a school for Metas, making weapons to use against them?" Drake says, amused, like he found the very concept to be very humorous. "... Doesn't make too much sense, now does it?"

Lexy frowned when Charles asked about the traitor. "I'm not entirely positive, but what's the worst thing someone could do that would get people to blame each other?" Lexy waited a moment to add in a dramatic pause before answering herself, "murder. Though I'm not compleeeeetly sure, it sounds like the most likely thing, riiiiight?" she sighed before continuing, "It's sad. I don't think we should be, like, blaming each other though. I think the traitor wants that to happen- then everyone kills each other." Lexy then smiled, "Best not to stay on the bad though, right?"

Faith meanwhile stiffened when Charles asked about her power before relaxing, having to remind herself powers weren't a taboo subject now."I-I um... control electronic devices. I changed the Eye's priority to protecting me." was all she replied with before listening to Seth. He could train metas and help them with their powers? Faith made a note to ask him on the matter later on.

Crystal (no Jack 'cuz I can't think of anyhing for him atm)

Crystal looked around the room in surprise. It looked like an inventor's paradise. She wasn't into inventing, though, and looked over Jake's shoulder. She whinced when she saw the blueprints. She spoke quietly, trying to keep Livvy from hearing. "What if this place isn't really made to be a school? What if... we are supposed to be nothing more then test subjects? The ooz monsters could have been from whoevers in charge..." Crystal pasted a smile on her face, "I'm probably wrong, though, right?"

Nicole's feathers ruffled, as she heard a voice drift down the hall, and a heartbeat in the distance. The voice sounded shocked and surprised, uttered in disbelief. While her friends could not hear it, nothing escaped Nicole's powerful senses, which were more amazing than any meta-human in the entire school. It was all but impossible for someone to sneak up on her, save for the traitor, who could cancel out his sounds and smells. It was probably the best power the killer could have hoped for, as if he hadn't possessed it, Nicole would have heard him long before he attacked, and would have been able to track him down afterwards. Regardless, though, even if she could hear this stranger, she couldn't help but be set on edge. Immediately trusting strangers was becoming increasingly difficult for her, which was bad, because now was the time that more people were getting out of the hospital, or just showing up out of the blue. She wasn't quite sure where they were all coming from, but anyone could be the traitor, and she had every reason to feel suspicious.

It was because of these feelings, that Nicole reacted the way she did. Her back was to the noise, but her mutations gave her an odd ability. Like an owl, she could rotate her head without cutting off her blood flow to the brain. It wasn't particularly useful in a fight, but still, it gave people quite a start, which was her current intention. She twisted her head around backwards to look down the hallway, looking every bit like an owl, with her mask-like face, save for her eyes. Her deep, indigo-blue eyes looked as though they would better suit a wolf, than a bird, they simply had that piercing, threatening effect, when she stared. "Who's there?" She called, her voice not a yell, but a projecting whisper, something bird-meta-humans were talented with. Her friends stopped talking, and turned to stare down the hall with her.

Vito

Crap. A voice, in his head, spoke to Vito. He wasn't the sneakiest person ever, which was easily demonstrated when the bird girl called out to him. Perhaps she has good eyesight or - Vito wasn't the person to worry about the details. They know he's here and now he has several choices. Either he can go out and talk to them, or he runs off. Those are some great choices. In any case, he was going to approach them. Since there the only people here so far. He took in a deep breath of the tainted air, and slowly stepped out from out of the hallway. He tried to appear causal as possible as he walked. Vito was a little bit cautious - No, scared. Vito was smart enough to tell that places like this don't go empty for no reason. He took in the center of the hallway for a few seconds. Astonished a bit about these "animal-people" that seem to be as intelligent as any other human. He's seen plenty of Metas, and none of them like this. He swallowed that fear when he realized that they could have the answers he needs. Vito took very slow and careful steps down the hallway - Making it obvious that he was either nervous, or scared, as hell. Vito was completely oblivious of the whole Traitor fiasco.

The moment he was before them, several meters apart, then he choose to decide what he's going to say, and what he's going to do. They didn't seem like the blood thirsty monsters type of people, if they were, they probably would have attacked him on sight. If by any chance they did attack; Vito is still a powerful and capable warrior without his weapons - Then again, he'd probably run his @ss off, because he's outnumbered (Probably outmatched too) and he doesn't know what they're capable of... Then again, they don't know what he's capable of. He took a sigh and decided to speak - The voice in his head spoke to him again, before he had a chance to speak, Choose ya words very carefully, Vito.  "I gotta' say; all of ya' are the strangest lookin' bunch I've ever came 'cross." Yes, very carefully.

"Well, other than dat ... I have a few questiooons..." Vito says, speaking in a soft tone, fighting that fear in him because he knows he probably just offended them. "Fo' starters, where is everyone? Where can I find my stuff...? And what exactly happened here? Dat' letter be tellin' me dat this place should be meta filled..." Vito looked around, before continuing "... There ain't nobody 'ere."

Charles was a little bit surprised to receive this news. There's a monster running around here... One with so little humanity that he'd murder? One that'd make Charles crap himself out of fear. Thank god he's found someone, and then found Nick and Faith. He would have been killed otherwise. Then he thought about if Emily could be the Traitor, she does seem strange, in that way. Then he shrugged off the thought, like Lexy said, they shouldn't be blaming anyone. Charles blankly stared at Lexy, trying to hold that despair that nearly tripled in him. Then he used two fingers to push his glasses up his nose by the bridge. "Well..." He started off, he then finished nonchalantly, "... I don't think anyone here is this traitor." He then looked at Faith, then Nick. Regardless of who may or may not call Charles a friend, he knew that he has Nick and Faith on his side, in addition to Drake and Victoria. As long as they stay by his side, he'll help them the best he can. Charles will try to help Lexy and anyone else that comes along too, as long as they show him that they're worthy of it.

Celo wrote:

"Ooooh..." Charles says, impressed by what Faith said she did. If she can control electronics, she can hack just about anything in the school. Which could be useful if they're going to get out of here. He wanted to get her power, but didn't want to do it without asking her. He asked her about the full extent of her abilities, "How much you think you can do? You think you can hack us a way out of here?" They need all they can get if they're getting out of here. He reached into his pocket and grabbed the coin that had Nick's Gravity. He flipped it high up into the air with his thumb. Instead of doing something smooth like grabbing it, he missed and the coin fell to the wet glass. Charles's eyes zipped from left to right to see if anyone saw his blunder, before quickly bending forward to pick it up. He then stood straight up - Nonchalantly pushing his glasses up on to his nose with one finger.

Lin & Jake

While everyone else was tending to the news of what was on the computer, Lin was causally searching the room. Trying to appear as if she was instead - just looking at the room, bored. If what she was looking for was here, then it'd be pure luck. She was on the opposite side of the room then everyone else, and noticed a pile of tools on top of something. It caught her attention merely because the tools were obvious on top of something - That was square. Lin looked back at the group, slightly nervous, she didn't want the group to know of what she thinks she has found. Lin squatted down, and brushed the tools off the object, to reveal what she wanted from here the whole time. It was a large book, with a smooth, brown, leather cover. It had to be of at least a hundred pages. It's none other than The Headmaster's Journal. It held the Headmaster's innermost thoughts and opinions since he started this school. It was like a holy grail to her, hunting for this for ages. There's something she needs to know, and she highly thinks she can get something out of it. She smiled mischievously. She picked it up and quickly put it into her purse, and zipped it up. Hiding it from sight. The journal left a large bulge in her purse, and anyone observant enough would notice it. She then stood straight up and turned back towards the group. Lin approached slowly, and kept the purse held tightly with both hands. As she approached, she started reading Jake's mind, while it was a massive invasion of privacy, she wanted to get a feel of the conversation from Jake's thoughts.

After Crystal spoke, Jake leaned back against the desk. He was fairly certain that Crystal was horribly wrong. From the time he spent here in the school, he was certain that the school isn't just one big experiment... Then again, who knows. Perhaps this is all one big game. Where they round up a load of metas, capture them, then send monsters after the ones that got away. When they're dead, they repeat the cycle. It was unlikely, but he was more concerned with more pressing concerns. Jake looked around, and spoke in a hesitant tone, "I don't think so... I mean, I spent almost a year here..." He faded off - Confused about what to say anymore. "Maybe..." There's so many variables here, too many. The only way they can certain about something is finding the Headmaster, and he's probably dead. It would appear that the first person they went after was him, anyway.

While reading Jake's thoughts, Lin couldn't help but defend the Headmaster. Her relationship with him has been close to say the least. She walked over to his side, and turned to Crystal. She spoke quietly as well, "The Headmaster would even consider doing such a thing to his students. He's far too kind." Lin spoke confidently, like she was certain about this particular fact. She should probably address the claims about monsters, "The 'Ooze Monsters' likely someone who escaped from st-" Lin was fairly close to breaking a certain promise, with a certain someone. At this point, anyone with a brain would be suspicious of Lin, how she apparently has knowledge of Stasis. She looked away from Crystal nervously. She yips, "... Never mind." Failing in an attempt to keep calm here.

Preparing herself for what's to come, she knew that someone would ask about it...

Nicole

Nicole turned completely towards the stranger, facing him, and then tilting her head slightly. He was trying to keep his appearance and manner calm, but neither properly fit his words, nor the signals his body gave off. His heart beat slightly too fast for him to be relaxed, and trace amounts of adrenaline were in his scent. He wasn't so terrified that he dealt with a flight-or-fight response, but he was nervous, clearly because he hadn't seen animal meta-humans before. That small detail surprised her, a bit, as she had come to think of animal-metas as extremely common, being very numerous, at least in the school. It was so strange to think that another meta could spend his life never knowing that animal-people existed. At the same time, if he never went outside of urban areas, it made sense. Animal-metas didn't fit in such places, they were the ones who wound up exiled, or living in the middle of nowhere. Their physical mutations were so advanced, no disguise of any sort could hide them.

After a moment, Nicole opened her beak to speak, "You truly are not aware of what has occurred?" She asked, the question being rhetorical. She shook her head, "Sir, I can't tell you where you can find your things, if you had any technology or weapons with you when you came here, the staff confiscated them. In addition, there's not much of an 'everyone' for me to direct you to. If someone is here, they're either in a small group, or stuck in the hospital. Anyone else that didn't fit into those two categories, they're most likely dead. Bad stuff happens here, this school wasn't in any way a safe haven. It's more like being mice trapped in a pen, and then having a snake let loose where we can't get away." A chilling set of news and comparisons, indeed. All her friends shifted uncomfortably, at this.

Capri

Frillerfang had been found by the group, and now sat at the table they had been mulling over. Sitting in front of her was a room-temperature coffee pot filled with plain water. She wrapped her eel-like tail around it and poured a small amount over head, trying to keep her skin moist. Of course, this made a small mess, but everyone tolerated it, as it was just water. Overall the largest and most intimidating member of the group, she had no semblance to a human being, even though she had been one, at some point. Once she had set down the coffee pot, she cut Nicole off, "-Thank you, for that image, Nicky." She said, clearly pointing out that mice trapped in the same pen as a snake wasn't a pleasant thought. She then turned to the stranger, blinking her clear, milky eyelids once. Unlike other animal-metas, she didn't have any abrupt features that made her seem ridiculous in appearance. In many ways, she looked like some sort of creature that belonged in the deepest trenches of the ocean.

"You see, sir, our school was safe, at one point. Next thing we knew, though, a bunch of people in weird armor were running around, shooting people with darts to knock them out, and then dragging them off to who-knows where. Anyone they couldn't knock out, they just killed and left there. Those were the people who didn't hide or flee, and tried to fight. I was fighting them, for a time, but then I passed out. The only reason they didn't kidnap me, was because I was in the lake, and I sank down to the bottom where they couldn't get me." She shrugged what could have been her shoulders, as they were the upper part of her pectoral fins. "In a nutshell, the school's been like this ever since that whole invasion."

Toby

Toby frowned, his face looking much like a pug's, and therefore not even remotely scary in any way, "Man, you shouldn't be running around by yourself! There's some crazy traitor loose, and he's picking off people one by one. He tried to kill us not too long ago, and worse, Nicole couldn't even detect a scent. We can't track him, and he just showed up out of nowhere and threw stun grenades at some of us. Look, I don't care what someone's powers are, you can't fight if you can't see, hear, or even get your balance."

Seth

Seth put away his ID once it was clear they believed him. He then listened to Lexy in an attempt to put the pieces together, but he ended up with more questions than answers. There were many gaps in his knowledge that would have to be filled before he could determine a solid course of action. The girl didn't have a complete grasp on the situation, so he refrained from asking questions. Enough was poisoning his mind as it was. Answers will come in due time. Normally Seth had a hard time leaving questions unanswered, but Charles drew him away. He nodded and replied "Smart thinking." Charles proceeded with a request, but didn't go through with it. "When you're ready come talk to me." said Seth in a friendly tone before addressing Faith again. "That's remarkable ability." He moved to get a less obstructed view of the Eye and her. I wonder what the extent of her skill is. Charles was also interested in her potential. Only one way to find out. " Theoretically you should be able to say open sesame, no hacking required. That alone won't get us out though." This answered Charles question, so he waited his response as well as Faith. He saw him fumble a penny toss. Normally this wouldn't mean anything, but his behavior signaled that it was important. "What do you got there?" Seth asked casually.

Emily

Emily flipped through the last page of her book, then cast it aside. It landed ungracefully in the mud as she folded down her umbrella. A wary person might notice that the bulge that should have present in her hoodie was nowhere to be seen. She stood in the rain and took in the other's conversations. She now knew half of the groups powers. It was only a matter of time before somebody inquired about her gifts. Let them. Emily thought to herself. Still there were other ways of finding things out, and the longer she stayed with these people the more likely she was to be discovered. On the other hand if she went off on her own she'd likely be marked this traitor. After some thinking she decided to stay put, but to question standing in the downpour. "You guys must be fond of the rain, at this rate we'll be soaked before we even go anywhere."

Faith and Lexy
---
Lexy smiled at Charles, "You mean you'll let me stay with you guys for now? Thanks- oh wait- I should probably tell you my power. It's perfect aim. Which is why I had those knives earlier. Maybe Johnny knowing my power was why he was thinking I was the traitor. Anywaaaays, just decided to get that out there."

Faith nodded at Charles and Seth, "I-It's pretty easy to hack electronics. I-I just tell a computer to do something with my mind and it, um... listens?" she shrugged. When Emily spoke up Faith placed one hand in Nick's and smiled. "I agree with Emily. We definately should go inside now, I think. Everything is kind of... wet."

---
crystal and Jack
---

Crystal nodded, letting her smile turn to a real one of relief, "Thank goodnes. I haven't been here long so that's reassuring."

Jack was standing beside a table, examining the tools in the room. These things... could work well in the future. He grabbed a screw driver and placed it in his pocket before looking at the blueprints Jake brought up. He let out an impressed whistle. "Those are pretty impressive, I must say. I've never been much of an inventor like that." It was then that Lin said the Ooz monsters came from... she stopped herself. Jack couldn't help but smirk, "Where did they escape from?" He didn't really know of the Stasis, so Lin could probably get away from his suspicions.

Drake, Lily, Lin & Jake

Celo wrote:
"Where did they escape from?"

"No where, they just..." Lin immediately said, blankly. Lin had been reading Jack's thoughts and has easily deduced that he doesn't know what Stasis even is - Let alone what these monsters even are. Jack has, so far, proven to be the least intelligent out of their group. Meaning he could easily be fooled by someone with even half a brain. "It's nothing, I just got confused and mistakenly said something false - My mistake." Lin tried to mask her emotions, but couldn't help but mask that fear. Anyone with an observant eye could easily pick up on it.

Of course, Jake was very suspicious of what Lin said before. What she said reminded him of a certain rumor going around. Jake was here for almost a year, that was long enough to pick up on a few things. Around the school there was a rumor of a special place, hidden somewhere, known as Stasis. Where they store the uncontrolled, crazy or aggressive Metas - However, the rumors vary. Some say that they put the students that try to leave there, others say they're growing an army of clones there. No matter what the rumors say; Lin must have knowledge of the school. Jake can tell that she's hiding something just by looking at her. However, Jake didn't exactly want to take the direct approach, he wanted to be the subtle one. He turned to Jack and decided to hint the rumor, "You know. I've been here long enough and heard about a rumor or two about what goes on behind closed doors..." Of course, he was only speaking to Jack because he was the only one. The guy didn't seem to be here too long, nor too intelligent.

However, while Jake wanted to take the subtle route, Lily choose to take the direct route. She isn't stupid, she could easily tell what Lin. She crossed her arms and spoke to Lin in a commanding voice, like she was demanding to know what Lin was talking about, "Look, chica, if you know something that we don't, you have to tell us."

Drake, meanwhile, was just about tired of this lizard form, there isn't too much of a need for it at the moment and he'd rather have his good looks. He chuckled slightly. He began transforming back into his human form. His skin quickly turned smooth, losing the scales and keratin armor, and started fading into the usual color of his skin [When human]. His facial features lost the reptile-like features, and he lost his claws - So did the rest of his body. He was, once again, completely human - With human nicotine urges! Drake had one of his cigarette urges, he reached into the pocket of his track suit and pulled out that carton of cigarettes that Luce gave him. He pulled out one cigarette - Then he remembered a few people complained, and there's a little girl around. He choose to hold in that urge, at least until everyone was separated from him. Drake heard the scene taking place between Lin and the rest of the group just well. He just choose not to get involved. Lin obviously knows a lot more than she's letting on. It was suspicious, yes. He just didn't want to press her on about such matters.

Being pressured into caving was something that Lin, regrettably, easily did in these situations It appears that everyone has some sort of guess that she does have some knowledge of where these monsters are coming from. It was her mistake of even almost mentioning Stasis, and now she has no choice. Lin inhaled a bit, and spoke, reluctantly, "Alright. I do know where these creatures that have been attacking you all came from." She closed her eyes briefly, before looking at every member of their little group. Lin sighed before she continued, asking the group a question, "Are any of you familiar with rumors of a place known as Stasis?"

"Nope." Drake says blankly, sitting on the table with his arms crossed.

"Since a few of us haven't been here long enough; no." Lily says, anticipating what Lin knows about this Stasis place. Just from the way she talked, Lily could easily tell that the Chinese girl knows something.

"Yeah, I definitely have." Jake says.

"Well..." Lin faded off, unsure of how she should explain what Stasis is. By now, they probably are certain that she's much more connected to the school than most students are. She knows things that even some of the teachers don't know. Meh. No point in keeping it a secret since the school is effectively destroyed. Lin explained Stasis, speaking blankly, "... It is an underground storage where they store the Meta-humans that are too dangerous to simply exile." She nodded, and looked at everyone in the group again for their reactions. "They are all either insane, psychopathic, have become mindless beasts, or too powerful to control their own powers - And are, well, were, being kept there until a cure for Meta-humans have been found." After that, Lin took a break. Everyone must be definitely aware that there's something she's not telling them. Which is fine, since, as far as she can tell, she's the only telepath. Everything else she knows will remain in her head. But, she knew that she'd have to say something, lest they get suspicious, "Look, I don't know where Stasis is, or how they're getting out. From what I was told, that place is the most well secured spot in all the school."

Charles

Charles didn't know what to make of Lexy, personally. If Charles was a jackass, he probably would have commented on how talkative Lexy is. She appears to be talking just for the hell of it. Giving them a bunch of pretty much useless information. However, he was certain that she was trying to help them - Or maybe she just likes hearing her own voice, eh? This Johnny fellow, and this "Traitor" sure comes up a lot when she talks. This Johnny fellow must be someone who is worth avoiding. If he sounds like he's so paranoid over this traitor.

Oh, and she has perfect aim. "That's pretty cool - If it counts as a power." Charles said to Lexy, just acknowledging her power.

Veriska wrote:
"What do you got there?" Seth asked casually.

"Oh... Um..." Charles said, hesitantly. While Emily had indeed sent some mixed signals about what she meant when he revealed his powers, it had indeed remind him that his power may alienate some people. He should probably keep it a secret. He put the coin in the pockets of his vest and decided to use his expert charisma and lying skills to lie. "... It's just a coin!" Of course, even Charles knew that little excuse wouldn't fool Seth.

Veriska wrote:

Nonchalantly coughing, Charles did silently agree with Emily here. He, personally, would rather head out to find Drake and Victoria - But, it seems that Nick has gone quiet. Which is a shame since he appears to be the person who knows the most -about his siblings- here. The only place where they can go is the hospital. "... Well, yeah. We can head in" He says to Emily, hesitantly. Personally, he wanted to see if anyone else wanted to go in before he came to a decision. Since he still wanted to go find them.

Celo wrote:
"I agree with Emily. We definately should go inside now, I think. Everything is kind of... wet."

"Alright, let's head in." Just hearing that Faith wanted to go in made Charles come to a decision. He started heading into the hospital. With the group - Actually screw this, everyone is going to follow him anyway. It was a quick trip, since they were at the very doorstep to the hospital He walked through the front doors of the hospital and just stood there in the main lobby for a few seconds before he grabbed a chair. He sat down on it and felt so safer, with the fear of the Traitor lurking around in the shadows going away. Charles looked around briefly. "So, uh...." Honestly, he had no idea what to say anymore.

Vito

A panic quickly, and subtly, overcame Vito. All this news about what happened - And what's happening here. He stood there as the animal metas told him what happened, quiet. His heart raced as he could easily tell what's wrong with this place: The school is hell. All he wanted to do was learn about his abilities, not get in the middle of some war. He just just dumbstruck - No, bloody amazed, that he, of all people. Just wandered into this, with the best of intentions, now the only thing that was on his mind was getting out of it. There Vito stood, petrified like a out of fear. Even though this is the first time he's ever come in contact with animal Metas, he was much more concerned with the news he just got. In fact, he was glad to be with them. They didn't seem to want to kill him. All that was Vito's mind was heading home.

After a few (undeniably awkward) moments of silence, he collected himself enough to speak. He addressed everyone one at a time.

ViperaUnion wrote:
"You truly are not aware of what has occurred?" She asked, the question being rhetorical. It's more like being mice trapped in a pen, and then having a snake let loose where we can't get away."

There were things that Nicole said that piqued his interest. Like, the staff taking his weapons. It was pretty stupid to take his weapons - Since he can turn pretty much anything he can get his hands on into an high-impact weapon. Hell, he could cause some damage alone with the change in his pocket. He couldn't help but ask what "Well, dun' know if you can help me or not, but do ya' know where I can find out where they put da' confiscated stuff?" Vito knew it'd be stupid to go out and look for his whips, or slingshots. He personally wasn't sure what she was talking about after she mentioned confiscation. Maybe it was her wording, or... Him just being a confused and scared child. Probably the latter.

"All I had with me was some clothes, and...." He faded off, unsure of he should tell them what he has. Then again, it's nothing too bad. They may even approve of his honestly. "... My whips, my slingshots and my BB gun." He then looked around at all of them. "... And please don't call me sir, me name's Vito... Well, it's really Victor, but that's.... Irrelevant."

Willow

Bones stepped out from behind Toby, and aside from Vito, was the only normal-looking person present in the room. She had her arms folded, and a typical stoic scowl on her face. She spoke in her usual gruff fashion, in a pronounced southern drawl and dialect. "The faculty here never talked about anything they didn't want us to find out. We don't know where your things are, Vito. If they told us wherever our confiscated stuff was, we'd be too tempted to go try and get it back. For all we know, any communication stuff we got was destroyed altogether." She unfolded her arms, and her right hand held a black ink pen. She started to draw an intricate pattern on the back of her left. "Truth be known, I've come to think of this whole place by now as a big trap. Think about it, they got a graveyard, so they thought we'd live our whole lives and die here. Plus, they don't want anyone to know where we really are, and they trapped us under a dome. This whole school is just a fancy way to build a prison."

Everyone else shifted uncomfortably at the stark truth that seemed to be in her words. Bones wasn't the nicest person they had ever met, she could be pretty mean at times, but there was very little argument now with what she just said. Bones had fallen silent, and just kept drawing on her hand in black ink. After a moment, though, she paused, before capping the pen and putting it in her pocket. "Almost forgot, we didn't introduce ourselves, but you did, so I suppose we should return the courtesy."

She then indicated each member of the group with her hand gestures, "This is Toby, Nicole, Pedro, and Frillerfang; you can call me Bones, everyone else does. We got another member of our group doing something at the moment, but Sandy's an animal-meta, looks kind of like a vampire bat, if you see her." She then folded her arms again.

Nick

Nick smiled down to Faith when she took his hand. He hadn't had too much to say to the conversation, it was nice that Faith was willing to take his advice. Now, if something went bad, she could fodder, or even use the eye she had recruited to either buy her time or to defend herself. Come to think of it, Faith's ability to bend technology to her whim could make her one of the most powerful metahumans around. Easily on par with him, if not surpassing. She could control streetlights to cause massive car crashes and cause black outs all around a city area, hell, she could probably overload the lighting system again. She could spy on people by controlling surveillance cameras or hack their bank accounts. Based on how technologically dependent the world was becoming, she could be one of the most deadly around, because she didn't have to look like she was using her powers.

Then, the thought hit him.

She could very well play a big role in escaping the Othergrounds when time came. Her power to use and abuse technology could prove far more useful than what he previously thought. "The only exit I can think of is the one you get in through, and I doubt they're going to just let you waltz right on out. But..." Nick fair, clucking his tongue and pointing at Faith. "She," he said, before dragging his finger to the eye while whistling, stopping at the eye with another cluck of his tongue. "...has one hell of a resource to find out a bit more about how we get in and out from the entrance, or about places in the Othergrounds in general." The eye could very well have a damn map of the sub-basement stored in its data files. Of course, Nick had no idea of what exactly the 'bot had in it. But Faith did. She would be able to tell. He would ask her a bit more about it later. "So you're one of the teachers?" Nick said, looking Seth over.

He didn't seem that impressive, then again, his mentor had been an odd one with a very unorthodox way of teaching. He could definitely help. Faith didn't have as much control over her powers, not like he did, and he was still improving. He knew for a fact that Caden's and therefor his way of teaching wouldn't fit Faith well. He wouldn't be able to do it right. Caden had been tough on him, and while he would try to for Faith, he probably would mess up because he wouldn't be able to bring himself to do so to his girlfriend. Therefore he would mess the whole thing up. Plus, Faith would be mad at him if he went to tough on her, and he didn't think himself that good of a teacher. Nick had stayed relatively dry in the rain, as he had been doing his best to emit a negative charge to counteract the negative parts of the water molecules in the rain, but because they were polar, it still attracted the positive side of the rain drops to him, so he wasn't able to block it all out. He was starting to get wet, and he didn't want to keep his power running to too much longer. "Lets find some cover. Maybe the cafeteria would help?"

---------------

Dragonfly

Weapons.

Meta human killing weapons.

Dragonfly did not like this.

He could take a sword and heal. He could take a bullet and heal. He could be punched, slashed, bitten, stung, burned etc and come out the other end more or less okay. But his powers being forcefully removed from his body? Damn. He barely knew what he looked like anymore because his memory was near shot. Unless an even was constantly reoccurring he tended to forget it the next day. He had to wake up in the morning... or whenever he woke up, as it was hard to tell in the sub-basement, and spend a few minutes remembering the events of the day prior. He even forgot to remember a few times. "Jack, you can either cooperate, sshut the hell up, or I can kick you out. You're choice." Dragonfly said. He hated that he was a suspect, and he flinched when Jake went the route of telling Jack he knew of rumors.

Rumors that wer true. Drake and Victoria didn't know it, but it was only a matter of time.

He did not fear Jack. Hell, Jack would probably be better off fearing to go into the depths of his mind to pull out illusionary fears. Dragonfly's mind was like a bag full of cats, it screamed crazy and some of the things his bad side would whisper while clawing for control would probably put any mind ready unprepared for it in for something that would make them want to curl up and stare at a wall for an hour or so. But what came next was what put him in for even worse of a predicament.

Stasis.

Eyes had chattered something about it before his great escape... years ago? Maybe even more than that. Dragonfly did not know he had been hiding away from the eyes for over a decade. Time was something he could expend. He faintly remembered them saying something about it, but after that nothing. He flinched one time after another as Lin told of how those in Stasis were insane, psychopathic, mindless beasts that had little to no control over their powers. He fit the bill almost perfectly. If Jake knew about him, then would he believe he was the traitor, and that he killed not to to turn others against each other but for the pure pleasure of killing?

Oh god. He had to get out of here. He would have to get out of here soon if he did. He would have to run and hide in the basement in a place where even Nicole would have trouble finding him. Gabe did this. Gabe did this. It was all Gabe's fault. Gabe. Gabe. Gabe. Gabe. Gabe. She brought them against him for the fact that she hated him for being a meta. She made him into a monster.

Dragonfly might know where Stasis was. He might use it to hide if he could find it. If nobody knew where it was, then he could hide without being tracked.

He could disappear.

Seth

Seth had a solid understanding of Faith's ability, stuff like this came to him naturally. From her response he evaluated that she barely used her gift and didn't know all she could do. "It's really quite complicated, but it seems to come naturally for you." He smiled cheerily. "And I'm here to assist if you desire. Later though, some cover does sound nice." Faith then took Nick's hand and followed along with the others. Seth made a mental note of this for the sake of future interactions. Then Nick showed some interest in his career. "So to speak." He replied, noticing that rain behaved strangely around him. "I never had a classroom and I only work one on one with students." His eyes gleamed with the pride of a man who loves his job. Seth hadn't forgot about the coin and planned come back to it another time.

Emily

Emily was glad that he suggestion was taken, after Faith spoke up that is. I wonder had nobody else said anything if they'd had stayed out there. It didn't matter, the longer they stood out there the more likely she'd be asked questions that she couldn't answer. In the hospital lobby she refrained from taking a seat, instead standing against the wall. At Charles indecision Emily said "We should get a tab on the others here for starters."

Faith and Lexy
---

Faith looked around the hospital waiting room before taking off her jacket and laying it on the back of a chair to dry. The Eye had followed her into the hospital and was remaining nearby. She remained standing before turning to face Seth. He had offered to help with training, right? While she would prefer getting trained by Nick, Faith had a feeling his method of training just wouldn't fit her. So maybe Seth's way of training would be better for her. "Maybe y-you could help me train whenever there's some extra time? Not right now, though, since... um... you know... things are really crazy." Faith once again nervously glanced around the room. She now had the traitor business to wonder about. According to Lexy, this traitor was not one to underestimate. A cold-blooded killer was on the loose. Oh, how comforting. Faith slid into the chair that had her jacket on it, trying to calm her nerves.

Lexy looked down the hallway Reginald's room was down. She couldn't hear any commotion so he was probably fine. She had only been gone from the hospital, what, five minutes? She sure had been going to the hospital a lot lately. There wasn't much talking in the gtoup. maybe she could change that? "So, hey, how long have you guys all been here?"

---
Jack (can't think of anything for Crystal
---

Jack smirked at Dragonfly, "Okay. I'll try and behave." He sat down on a table and went deep in thought. So there was a place in the school for unstable, deadly monsters? Interesting. This "school" was just coming up with more and more surprises, wasn't it? How many meta humans were here, anyways? He wondered if anyone he knew was h- wait. His step-sister and friends were meta humans, correct? Jack grinned before standing up. "So has anyone met a girl named Faith here? Or maybe these guys named Nick and Charles? Faith is my step-sister and a meta human so, yeah."
