| Chopper had nodded to Samus, seeing that she had said exactly what was on his mind. If he had to walk the she had to walk. It was simple as that. Unless her life was in danger, in that case Chopper might cave in and carry the little cat. As he walked deeper into the forest he found himself trying to trample down a clear path. He didn't want anyone to trip or struggle to move though the rough terrain. He also noticed his antlers were getting tangled in low branches, much to his displeasure. It didn't take more in then a tug of his neck to free them though.
He found himself stealing glances at Kongu. Distrusting glances. He knew that he was the one who spread the past of False to him and maybe even the others by their reactions. The strange robot had done the same things to Scout before False showed up. He had talked about hardships in the red mans life. And if he started rooting around in Chopper's head he was getting a hoof to the face. Chopper was rarely violent, but that stuff was personal.

| Sylvanas growled, turning to Ankha with a response similar to Samus'. "You, as I said earlier, are no longer royal. No one is going to carry you. And," she brought out an arrow and instead of using her bow threw it directly at the cat. It landed a mere inch from its face. "Next time you demand something I won't miss," she grinned coldly before turning to continue walking.
Leo sighed and turned to face Ankha after Sylvanas. "Listen," he sighed, "None of us appreciate being treated unequeal- especially you-know-who. Just try to be nice, okay?" He smiled and began walking again, as well.

| Jinx, Sylar, and Tali'Zorah vas Normandy
Jinx skipped through the woods casually playing with a grenade and her other hand on her arc gun. If something some much as a squirrel poked it's head it out there would likely be another explosion. Now that more were entering the woods Tali and Sylar headed out. Ankha began to levitate, she reamined suspended until Sylar drew closer. Then she was moved as to keep pace with him as he stepped inot the woods. "She was designed this way, nothing anybody says is going change her attitude. In any case she can't possibly keep up with the group using those tiny legs."

| AnkhaAnkha was fairly annoyed by the defiance, but somewhat intimidated by the threats that were cast her way. She would've complained about the peasants denying her demands if she hadn't been lifted up with some method of levitation. She assumed it was Sylar, since she was kept close to him. She would have still complained about how long it took for someone to actually carry her, but she decided against it. She didn't want to get into anymore trouble. KonguKongu was debating with himself on ways to prevent conflict between Ankha and the rest. He wasn't bothered at all by the remarks that suggested that they were in such peasantry since he assumed that it wasn't true. He approached Medic, still not knowing what to call the fleshy beings. Kongu asked, trying to sound simplistic, "What are your kind called? Where I come from, we don't have that kind of tissue on much besides plants." ShedinjaA small floating exoskeleton of a bug levitated slowly behind the group. It made no sound as it hovered, but cast a ghostly presence that could be felt by everyone, and it also seemed that it was following them. | |

| "Ve are humans," Medic answered nonchalantly. "Men...Man...Mann...Brothers...zeh people...menschen." He talked easily, as if this was a question he got asked every day. "Vhat are jou? Vhere I come from, zere are no giant metal beings."
Then a chill travelled up his spine, causing his skin to prickle. Having dealt with ghosts before, Medic recognized the feeling and turned so sharply that the healbeam of the Quick-Fix detatched from Scout and fizzled into the air. An oddly sterile smell filled the area for an instant; a scent that might remind one of a doctor's office.
"Fsst," Medic hissed softly, searching for the source of the haunted feeling. It was weaker than anything he had experienced, but it carried the same cold touch.

| Scout, being largely unobservant, didn't notice the odd feeling for a few seconds. He heard Medic complaining about something, but only after looking around for a moment did he realize what it was. Not anything he could see, exactly, but a sort of... presence. He frowned. His first assumption, of course, was that it was a ghost. He had met several ghosts in his lifetime, and while they were generally harmless, he didn't like them. "Hey!" He called out into the forest, hoping it would show itself, " Y'know what, you're not scary. You're just wierd!" what he was trying to accomplish, he didn't exactly know. Maybe he could insult it into coming out. It didn't occur to him that, if this plan worked, it would only make the ghost mad. | |

| A Large, involuntary, shiver ran up and down Chopper's spine. He felt like they were being watched, which was a feeling Chopper disliked greatly. He glanced around at the surrounding forest, suddenly getting rather scared. He didn't like showing how much of a scary cat he was, but spooky forests were a bit too far. He could deal with a sudden zombie but not with not knowing what might happen next and when something might happen.
Chopper tried to keep from looking too nervous, but his voice wavered slightly. "Heh...maybe we should try speeding up our pace a little!" He suggested almost too quickly. "That way we can get out of here quicker!"

| Leo looked around the group, trying to figure out where the presence was coming from. It reminded Leo of Eidolons- evil servants of Gaea that possess bodies. They once got him in trouble for something. "I agree!" Leo replied to Chopper's suggestion quickly. "A race! I could so go for that though I don't run fast! Let's go!"
Sylvanas, despite everyone else seeming nervous about what was around them, remained calm. She slowly pulled out an arrow and readied her bow, looking around. "Come out now!" She demanded, seeming to be very confident. In truth, however, her nerves were beginning to change from calmness to a slight sense of uneasiness. The ghostly presence, while some may think reminded her of the people she governed- the undead- reminded her of the Lich King, and though he may be dead she still felt uneasy upon thinking of him. No. He is long since dead, and I have gotten my revenge on him. She reminded herself, forcing her own being to calm down. The thoughts worked, as her uneasiness disappeared and returned to a calm feeling, though it had a hint of anxiousness. She was ready to fight whatever it was.

| As the haunted feeling continued to persist, Medic found himself thinking of all the ghosts he'd ever encountered. Medic wondered if Zepheniah Mann had been called into this world in the same manner that he had, and had been following them. That seemed unlikely, but it wasn't impossible.
An even more horrifying thought entered the doctor's mind. What if it was Redmond, somehow called back from the netherworld by False's magic?
"Picking up zeh pace sounds good to me," Medic said, still looking around. He retrained the healbeam on Scout. "Just try not to run into any trees."

| Samus' radar picked up the entity following them. She looked around, arm cannon leveled as she readied a charged shot. She scanned the area on her thermal and normal displays, looking for the being that was following them. | |

| Shedinja
The small, possessed shell of a bug made a buzzing that sounded like a cicada's call, but it was much quieter, and it also sounded like a faint voice was mixed into that. It hovered pass Samus, and didn't seem to show much interest in her.

| Scout nodded, catching on easily. He smirked, "Well I'm not gonna hit any trees," he said, "it's you I'm worried about." He checked behind him, making sure that Medic was actually ready, and then took off full tilt. He slipped in and out between the trees easily, just glad to be getting away from the strange presence. Perhaps it was following them, but there was no way it could keep up. He didn't really care either way, he just wanted to go home. And so he ran, most likely faster than anyone else in the group. Or at least that's what he thought. | |

| Laughing with glee, Medic was jerked forward by Scout's momentum. The healbeam was really the only thing keeping them together. If he were to turn the Quick-Fix off, he would lose speed very abruptly and probably eat turf. Luckily, he'd had a lot of practice. Medic managed to weave through the trees with as much ease as his youthful companion. With his labcoat streaming out behind him, he looked rather like the windblown dove clinging for dear life on his shoulder.
"Try to keep up, Engineer!" he called as they rocketed out of the clearing. Anything else he might have said was garbled by his laughter. Medic was feeling better now that he was out of range of the ghostly presence, and the headache and weakness had completely left him. Things were looking up.

| Chopper watched with glee as the two took off. His grin proofing his amazement. "That's amazing!" He said to no one in particular. "He's so fast!" He allowed himself a few seconds to soak in the coolness before taking off running himself. He remembered Leo mentioning a race. He wasn't sure if one was going on, but he might as well catch up. And being a reindeer allowed him to move rather quickly. He started off running is slight zigzags, but eventually was able to line himself up. Since Scout got such a head start, it took a few minutes of hard sprinting for Chopper to catch up.
He gladly bounded over rocks and protruding stumps and roots, trying to keep his head low to prevent from getting hit with sticks.

| Engineer
Engineer chased after them, trailing rather far behind. He called to Medic with heavy breathing, "I'm tryin' doc!" The eerie feeling that he sensed started to fade the further he ran. His wrench dangled from his belt as he tried his best to keep up, although he was steadily getting farther behind. Engie had to stop and take a few breaths after ten seconds of sprinting at his full speed. He hadn't ran like that in such a long time. Slouching over, he put his palms on his knees, and wished that the quick-fix were being trained on him. Engineer wondered if the overheal on the quick-fix, even though it's so little, would've made him run faster. It probably would've.
Kongu
Kongu wished he had Nuparu's kanohi as of then. He could be able to fly over all of the trees, and go even faster than Scout. He didn't bother trying to keep up with them, he was rather slow anyway. With the thought of Nuparu on his mind, he wondered if they were going to miss him at all. He had business to finish with the Piraka.
***
There was a sound. It sounded like an instrument from a techno song, except very distorted. A wave of nervousness and fear was cast out in front of Scout and Medic, like something was watching them. A clang was heard from above the forest, as a giant metal hand with glowing red tribal designs etched into it fell right on top of Medic, rendering him immobile as it sat on top of him. It didn't crush him, and it was almost as if it stopped falling right before it was going to squash him. It began to slowly take hold of the Quick-Fix. Once it had a firm grip, it began to steadily lift up.

| Suddenly on the ground was not where Medic wanted to be. He spouted off in German as he hit the ground, and the world began to spin. Breath knocked out of him, he tried to make sense of what was going on. A giant metal hand was on top of him; where on Earth had that come from?!
Then the panic started. It was irrational, sudden, cold fear. What exactly he was afraid of didn't matter. All he knew was that he needed to get away. He knew it wasn't his fear, but that didn't lessen the intensity of it. The giant hand tugged at something in his hands-- The Quick Fix. It wanted it. Medic's eyes narrowed. No. He would not give it to some frightening monstrosity. The irrational fear told him otherwise. If it wanted it, it could HAVE it. It was too bad that it was practically attatched to the doctor via straps and a belt. It wouldn't come off him unless he undid the straps.
In his current state, he couldn't actually do that. He didn't really want to lose the Quick-Fix anyway. Nearly immobile, he just watched as he slowly began to rise into the air. Great. More magic.

| Scout automatically skidded to a halt before Medic even made a sound. It was a reflex he had developed long ago, after a few stern words from Medic early on. If the Quick-Fix stops healing you, you turn around. And so he did. What he saw... did not make much sense to him.
"Hey!" He yelled at the thing, though he really doubted it understood him. It took him a second to remember that he had a gun. Sure, it was a giant metal hand, but he had occasionally shot down sentries, which were also metal. There wasn't much difference, right? He decided that he didn't have time to ponder that. He braced himself, and pulled the trigger. It pushed him back slightly, but he didn't pay that any mind. What he wanted to know was if he had actually damaged the odd attacker.

| Not even a dent was put into the metal hand. The red markings all over it began to glow brightly as the fist twitched open, letting go of the poor doctor's quick-fix. It slowly floated up, and looked as if it were a dead being, ascending to some sort of afterlife in the sky, but stopped when it reached roughly yards above the ground. It jolted again, and looked as if the hand was "conscious" again. It positioned itself, readying another attempt, preparing to drop again. More warped techno noises were emitted from it as it made another clank and began to drop again, still pursuing the Quick-Fix. | |

| Medic fell to the earth for the second time in the last few minutes. Catching himself, he rolled out from under the giant hand and stood up, ready to run. Out of habit, he now held the Ubersaw in one hand, and he was in a fighting stance.
"Jou cannot have mein Quick-Fix!" he shouted. "If jou take it, I am coming vith it!"
It was then he realized that Archimedes was no longer on his shoulder. He looked around blankly for a moment, distracted; the bird was nowhere in sight.
"Archimedes?"

| Scout, while not generally considered wise, could think very fast. Clearly the Force-A-Nature wouldn't work against this thing, so he seriously doubted anything else would. He narrowed his eyes. It wanted the Quick-Fix, didn't it? Well it couldn't have that, but... An idea popped into his head. Why not give it something it could have?
He took a quick step sideways towards the nearest tree, tossing the shotgun in his backpack, and jumped up. He grabbed a reasonably size branch and let his own weight break it off as he came back down. Armed with this, he jumped again, right up towards the hand. He flew by directly underneath it, trying to ignore the burst of fear he got by being so close to it, and there the branch up over his head. He knew the branch was going to hit its palm, but he was already falling back down away from it, and didn't really know for sure how it would react anyway.

| The metal hand ignored the branch completely and landed on the ground. This time, the branch got crushed underneath the sheer mass of the hand. It floated back up to the sky and began to follow Medic, attempting to hover over him once more. Once it was positioned over him, it made the metallic sound again, and dropped. It would keep doing this until it got the Quick-Fix, or something of importance to it. | |

| Avoiding the giant metal hand, Medic searched for Archimedes. He figured as long as he didn't stand directly below the hand-thing, it couldn't get at him. This was a temporary solution, true, but at this moment Medic didn't care. His bird was missing!
"Archimedes? Vhere are jou?!" Medic called, tucking his Ubersaw away. He couldn't believe how hard it was to find a white dove in a green woodland. He also found it hard to believe that Archimedes would have willingly left him in a strange environment. Something must have happened to the bird. Medic called out once more, and listened for any familiar coos. It would be hard to distinguish Archimedes from all the other forest noises...

| Sylvanas sighed as Scout took off, Medic behind him. She began walking in their direction, seemingly unimpressed. Leo, however, was amazed. "Holy Hephaestus, those guys are fast," he grinned. He didn't even try to run to catch up. He wouldn't ever reach them. Instead Leo followed Sylvanas, who seemed to know where she was going despite how hard it was to trust her and scary she looked... okay, maybe following her wasn't a good idea... but it was his only idea.
When they finally found them, Medic's bird was missing and he was being attacked by a hand-thing. The two went into action.
Sylvanas looked at the strange hand above. She was hesitant to attack it, as undead lose their hands all the time. She turned to what it was trying to get. The strange device the one called Medic had? Didn't it fix wounds? Now she had a theory for what was going on. "It wants to I think it wants to be fixed, as you may say. The rest of its body is in pieces," she frowned before aiming an arrow at the falling hand. "If you want, however, I shall kill it."
Leo was beside Medic, taking out different objects from his tool belt. An old coke can that soon had the top cut off and several other pieces cut out, as well. A silver marble was placed inside along with the top to a pepper-shaker before Leo's hands began shaping the aluminum can. It wasn't long before he was holding a metal device that resembled a large whistle. "You do bird calls?" Leo asked, presenting the small whistle.

| Chopper looked rather terrified. He had been enjoying the feeling of the wind on his face as he trotted through the forest. Living on a ship didn't give him much room to run, and falling off the vessel was out of the question. He tried to keep from looking too scared, no one else seemed to be too worried. But huge metallic hands were kinda a new thing to him. And although his ears were pressed down in fear he could still hear was Sylvanas was saying. Did the hand really want to be fixed?
He allowed himself to relax slightly, maybe the hand wasn't attacking. This allowed him to focus on what was happening to Medic. He had lost his bird. Chopper's ears swiveled around, enhancing his already goo hearing. Since Archimedes was a bird, to him, he would be able to hear a voice among the coos.

| This was insane. The Quick-Fix could do a lot of things, but fixing giant metal hands was out of the question. It would heal plants faster than fix statues. Maybe Engineer could fix it.
"Kill it?" Medic echoed Sylvanas, "It just took a gunshot vithout problem. Vhat good vill an arrow do?"
He sidestepped the hand's fourth or so attempt to hover over him. Luckily it seemed to be fairly slow until the moment it dropped. That meant they might be able to outrun it after they found Archimedes. Medic refused to go on until his dove was back on his shoulder. The doctor looked at the whistle Leo presented. It was a good thought, but Archimedes responded to voices.
"Danke, demigod," Medic said, "but I don't zink zat--" He broke off, turning sharply. "I zink I heard him!" Sure enough, a faint call echoed through the trees. Doves were not known for being very loud, but Medic had excellent hearing. He started off in the direction he thought it had come from, taking care to avoid standing under the hand.
