| A cloud filled morning was upon Triviis. Crisp dew was fresh on the small plants lining the mountainside. Below these mountains was a large forest, with many creatures still scurrying about from the last summonings. The Falsehoods had left a great impact on the world, and they will keep fighting for their dominance of Triviis, until they get it.
Upon the peak of the highest mountain, was the ruin of an ancient temple. Many giant posts were crumbled by various events throughout the years, and barely any of them remained. The temple was shrouded by fog, creating a mysterious atmosphere around the entire mountainside. A small plateau sat on the side of a mountain, and on the other side, was a nearly vertical drop, 1,789 feet down. A large cave was apparent on the southwest side of the mountain, leading into the inner temple.
Inside the temple was rather dank and stale. In the main hall, multiple skeletons could be found in various tombs. Each had something imprisoning the skeleton, binding it to the temple. An faint but eerie ringing was present in the main temple, and would grow more powerful if one were to approach any of the the imprisoned skeletons.
Ghostly whispers mumbled among the skeletons. They grew louder every few minutes, and eventually all that could be heard was intense gasping that was once the whispers. It sounded as if they were breathless and struggling to breathe. There was a flash of light and then silence appeared out of nowhere.
Along with the silence that intruded the room, was a man, not an ordinary man though, he was made up of blocks. These blocks seemed to be perfectly flat, with absolutely no roundness, or texture besides the smoothness that was upon this man of blocks. The man had a cubed head, a cubed body, cubed legs and cubed arms. Everything square seemed to be associated with this man. He had no elbows nor did he have knees, though he did not struggle to stand up. He began to slowly look down, and stareed at his blocky hands. He murmured in a shaky voice, but nothing moved on his face. "I'm... I'm alive..." He began to shout with excitement, "I'm alive!" He yelled, ecstatic, "Here I thought all along that those foul summonings would be the death of me, but no! I was wrong!"
A second flash followed shortly after the first, and then there was a voice behind him. It sounded of a calm, cool and collected man. He sounded much more calm, and had a deeper voice that sounded of a teenager that had just finished all the stages of puberty. "And that's why it's good to be false." The being behind him was tall and slender. He wore the attire of a cowboy, and his body was made of yellow plasma. "I don't even know how these clothes aren't melting off my body, but man! This feels so good to be back." On his face was the Greek symbol for gamma, made of some sort of solid material. He spoke to the man of blocks. "So, Inny, what do you think you are this time?"
Inny, the man of blocks, responded, "I dunno, I should probably check with Wisb as soon as she's unsealed."
***
Outside the temple, the summons were beginning. As usual, they would feel nauseous with a small headache, and maybe even a bit weak. The fog had lifted just by a slight amount, but was mostly still there.
***
Miraak smiled under his mask, as he taunted the dragonborn. "This one is mine," he said evilly as he absorbed the power of the slain dragon's soul. For many years now, he had been planning his return. His return to Solsthiem would surely regain his rule, as he had already enslaved most of the populace.
The dragonborn furrowed his brow and gripped his sword tightly. Miraak did not have a readied stance to counter the strike the dragonborn was going to give, nor was he planning one. When the dragonborn swung the mace, it simply fazed right through him. "My return to Solsthiem is eminent, dragonborn." He then faded out of Skyrim, and back into Apocrypha.
The only thing that was different was the feeling he got when he was going back. When he was finished teleporting, he was somewhere else. He felt weaker, and had a headache.
"This is not Apocrypha..." | |

| "Kano-give it back!" A girl with white hair and red eyes whimpered as Kano held a book up, out of her grasp. "C'mon, it is all out of good humor, Mary," Kano smirked, his blonde hair hanging over his mischievous eyes as he lifted the book higher. The entire group of kids- called the Mekakushi Dan- were gathere in one room, an while some of them were busy talking about the "Heat Haze" project they had been digging into and learning about to discover the meaning of their eye powers, Kano had taken the time to tease Mary. He brought the book down in front of him, pushing poor little Mary away with one hand as his eyes skimmed through the book. Kano was silent a moment before laughing.
"Man, this is almost as funny as Kido's-" Kano never got a chance to finish the sentence as a girl with green hair- called Kido- suddenly punched Kano, sending him flying. Of course he was used to this, but then instead of landing on the bookshelf opposite of the room as he usually did... Kano found himself lying in the grass, confused. He smirked despite the situation, though in his mind he was a bit nervous. Maybe Kido had made him almost die and now he wa facing the snake thing aga- wait. He didnt remember getting swallowed by a vortex, though. Kano shakily stood up and looked around. His head hurt and he felt nauseous, but he still kept that sly smile on his face.
"Hey, what's this?" He smirked.
---- Garry ---
"Ib, we need to run!" A certain man who appeared to be around 19 quickly picked up the little girl he was running with in an attempt to outrun the mannequins that were now after them. This was Garry's current predicament: trapped in another dimension, an art museum known as Guretina whose artwork comes to life and, at least most of it, attempts to murder you. The place had been freaky- he had been attacked by one-too-many paintings of women and his rose had almost met its end one-time-too-many. That's right. In this crazy world, his lifeline was tied to a blue rose. If it died, he died. On the plus side, if it was healthy, he was healthy. And just play placing this rose in water, the rose was automatically cured. Even so, the fact that he had a rose for his health to rely on didn't make the fact that he was running for his life in a murderous gallery any better.
There was a flash of green fabric among the headless mannequins and Garry shivered, recognizing the owner of it as he carried the young girl- called Ib- into another room and slammed the door before placing Ib down. "Some girls are scary," he said, breathless, in regards to the chase they had just endured. He looked around the room before sighing. All that was in the room was a couple of bookshelves and a rope dangling for the ceiling. Tied at the end of the rope was a mannequin head, looking as though it had a body it had hung itself from. Red paint dripped down its eyes and underneath the head was a vase that held a mixture of water and red paint. It looks like they couldn't place their roses in this water, then, seeing as it had been dirtied. Garry closed his eyes, tired from the running before turning to Ib, eyes still closed. "Looks like another puzzle, huh, Ib?" He smiled nervously before opening his eyes. Wait. Since when was he outside? Garry became frantic then.
"Ib?" His eyes skimmed the area. There were others, but he paid no attention to them. "Ib?" He called, before realizing the queasiness he felt in his stomach and falling to his knees rather roughly. And why the headache? He reached into his pocket and pulled out his rose. It lost a petal. This wasn't good- maybe it was another part of Guretina? what if he were trapped in an artwork? Garry looked around again at alp of the appearing people, most of whom also seemed confused. What was going on?

| The six sat around the campfire, drinking tea in silence. This was the quiet before the storm, and at this moment they were just enjoying each other's company. In just a matter of hours, the appointed battle time would arrive, and the assault on the Fire Nation would begin. Walking up to the firepit, Prince Zuko looked at the illuminated faces of his uncle and newfound friends. He was acutely aware that by this time the next day, some of these faces could be gone forever. Sitting cross-legged at the fire, Zuko lowered his teacup and opened his mouth to speak.
And then he was gone.
"Zuko?!" Aang cried, staring at the empty space where the prince had just been. Being the Avatar, Aang saw strange things all the time, but disappearing people...that was new.
Iroh too was shocked, but it only took him a moment to come up with a reasonable explanation. "Well," he said slowly, "I've never seen something like that before." He blinked, recalling his journey to the spirit world. It was a good theory, but a normal visit to the spirit world would have left the prince's body behind. "I'm sure he'll be back soon," said the old man, seeing no danger or reason to worry. Iroh poured himself more tea; it was jasmine, his favorite. He asked, "Would anyone care for more tea?"
* * * *
Zuko found himself sitting cross-legged in, and talking to, a grassy, sunlit meadow. The cup of tea still in his hand steamed softly in the cool air. So confused was the prince by the sudden change in scenery, that it took him a moment longer than usual to realize he felt sick. Gritting his teeth, Zuko waited for the feeling to pass, or at least recover his strength. After a minute or two he felt better enough to stand, and he looked around in search of someone or something familiar.
Nothing. There was nothing, other than what looked like some other people in the distance. Uneasy, Zuko reached up to draw his duo dao blades. If this was some sort of trap, he wanted his swords at the ready.

| Eugene would have loved to say he was doing something heroic when he was suddenly shifted from one world to another. He would have loved to say he was protecting and rescuing accused conduits off the streets, or bashing in some D.U.P skulls. But alas, he was doing neither of the sort. Despite the almost dangerous situation he was in, of that being he could be arrested at any time and dragged back into hell, he was playing video games. Video games were practically his life, he lived currently surrounded by media screens and all the games he could get his hand on. Being locked up made him miss seven years of video game releases. And he wanted to catch up big time.
Yep. Nothing heroic going on here. He was hosting a raid with his world of Warcraft clan. It wasn't his all time favorite game, Heavens Hellfire would forever hold a special place in his heart, but it was fun to play in between slaying daemons. His gamer time, He_Who_Dwells always altering those playing with him that the video game conduit was in town.
He had gotten up to get food and drink, ready to settle down for hours of consecutive gaming, when suddenly he wasn't in front of his mini fridge. He was no longer in the calming glow of his screens, but in the real light. Eugene flinched suddenly, flopping down into the grass to rub his stinging eyes. The headache and nausea wasn't bothering him, he had endured much worse during his years in Curdun Cay. But the sudden scenery change was what really knocked him off guard. And the voices of people he didn't recognize. | |

| Garry heaved himself up to his feet and looked around frantically. If he was really stuck in a painting, wouldn't things here be... Darker? Wouldn't there be some sort of twisted, dark aspect to them, or wouldn't the other people he saw appearing want to kill him? This was all so confusing... And why did he have a headache, suddenly? Really... Oh well. He will just have to man-up and... Wait! He first had to find Ib! Maybe these people ARE real and he could safely approach them?
Garry carefully placed his rose back in his pocket before he began walking towards one of the people, cautious due to te fact that he stil had the idea of being stuck in a painting in his mind. He noticed one with black hair and began calling to him, "Hey! Have you seen a little girl who looks to be around nine with brown hair and red eyes anywhere? She goes by the name, 'Ib'?" As he neared, he saw a scar over the boy's eye and that the boy was holding two swords. Examining them, Garry stepped back. Maybe this was a painting. He quickly turned around and began walking off. "Terribly sorry for intruding!" He nervously called back, trying not to look behind him and hoping this guy wasn't going to attack.

Kano smirked as he looked around the grassy field. Was this reality?
He had often times found himself asking that- being someone who knew more than most about the Heat Haze, he had come to find many things could be fake. The same goes for his own personality, however- he was known for lying. Often times, in fact, the truest takes from him seem the most fake. And then there was Ayano who...
Kano felt a pang in his chest at the thought, all the while keeping a smile on his face. No. Let's not bring her up.
He looked around, keeping the hood of his jacket over his head as his eyes scanned the area. It all seemed real.
Soon, he spotted someone to talk to. A boy with a hoodie on, himself. He was sitting in the grass and rubbing his eyes. Something about him reminded Kano of Shintaro, one of the members of the Mekakushi Dan who was known for being something of a video game geek. He remembered Takane telling him about how when she was a human, she placed second in nationals only to have him completely annihilate her in a shooting game. He laughed quietly at the thought as he approached the kid on the ground (Eugene).
"Do you know where we are?" Kano asked, giving him a friendly smile that had schemes hidden behind it.

| As soon as Eugene was approached he felt an overwhelming anxiety kick in. He wasn't used to people just approaching out of nowhere and asking him questions. He felt horrible reminders of his time in Curdun Cay as well as his time before being locked away and experimented on. The bullies. For whatever reason this guy approaching him felt like he was going to bully Eugene. In an almost defensive manner Eugene began to scramble to his feet, almost tripping over himself in the process. This strangers question intrigued him however, as it was rather uncommon for two people to be completely lost.
As Eugene finally struggled to his feet he began to 'glitch' his powers acting up as a way to defend himself. Entire sections of his body began to appear as colorful and rapidly moving pixels and even Eugene himself began to flicker with color. He stuttered as he tried to form words, slightly consorted by the glitching. "N-no I do not. I'm sorry." He was visibly terrified, really to book it the hell out. | |

| Kano was surprised for a monent when he saw this boy's reaction. He wasn't surprised by the scrambling to his feet part- it was quite expected, really. But when his body began to seemingly flicker, as though it were made of pixels... That surprised him. It was almost like Takane's body, only she was stuck in a cell phone and not face-to-face. Does that mean this kid has an eye ability, too? Wait... Their eyes need to be red for that, though, right?
Kano was now hesitant in responding, considering he had no idea what this kid's power was (though he believed he could handle himself against him, of course. Just throw a sad illusion his way and it's all done). "Huh... Kano said as he looked around. "I don't know either. I had just been sent flying by a punch and then... I'm here."
Even while saying this, Kano kept that sly smile of his. It was this smile that made people have trouble believing him, but it was also this smile that helped him hide his actual thoughts, so he had chosen to just deal with the doubts others had of him. Kano looked around the field again before turning back to the boy.
"Also, I'm Kano." | |

| Gordon appeared behind Dr. Kleiner as Kleiner shut the window. If those scanners saw inside the room, they could tell the Combine where their secret laboratory was. Barney needed to find Gordon. He looked over in the corner; there lay a steel crowbar. "Perfect,” said Barney, “Dr. Kleiner I'm going to go find Gordon, so you stay put. I'm not a scientist but I know that flashing lights and sparking wires aren't good." Barney ran out the door and climbed up the stairs, still gripping the steel crowbar. Gordon was going to need it. Barney strolled out the door of the overlook, the glowing blue Citadel in the distance. Millions of scanners flew off of the tall building. Gordon stood down on the ground below Barney, staring in awe. "Hey, Gordon! The Citadels on full alert I've never seen it lit up like that!" Barney called. "Get out of City 17 as fast as you can, Gordon! Take the old canals, right? They'll get you to Eli's lab. Its a dangerous route, but there's a whole network of refugees and they'll help you if they can." Gordon nodded listening intently. "I'd come with you,” Barney continued, “but I've got to look after Dr. Kleiner." Darn, I wish I could go on an adventure with Gordon, Barney thought, but instead I have to watch Dr. Kleiner and sneak information from the inside to the rebels. It would be more interesting to go with him. Then he remembered, oh yes, the Crowbar. "Oh, and before I forget. I think you dropped this back in Black Mesa." Barney felt the steel bar slowly start to slip through his fingers as he let it go, slowly sliding downward from his hand as if it were a raindrop falling to the ground. Then it reversed, it slid back into the palm of his hand from the previous position at his fingertips... There was a loud suction sound, everything lit up, and he felt his ears pop and shwoop! Then Barney was gone. --- "What the..." Gordon whispered. | |

| The bastion of justice, Piltover city was going through dark times. A new class of criminal, a menace by the name of Jinx turned everything upside down. Debris littered the once bustling streets. Not a single light filled the street lamps or storefronts, instead fires raging in the distance cast an eerie glow over the rundown metropolis. Vi took a look at the massive clock tower that dominated the square and yawned. She was getting impatient. Earlier that week a graffiti message in Jinx's style had advertised that she was going to hit the bank within the hour and had dared the law to stop her. Despite being advised against it by her superior Caitlin, if she really was going to advertise her next heist Vi was going to stop her. Her humongous hextech smashed together in anticipation. A quick glance through the double doors behind her confirmed that everything was in order, well as much as it was when she arrived. There was only one easy way into the treasury, and that was through her. This could always be a bluff, heck there's no proof that she even made the challenge. Still, stubbornness and her gut feeling kept her rooted in place.
Just as she started taping her foot out of boredom a ticking noise caught her ear. Not a moment latter a handful of frag grenades with clacking bear trap like clamps landed at her feet. Vi dove out of the blast radius just in time, and through the bang could hear the maniacal laughter the peaceful inhabitants had grown to fear. When the smoke cleared she gritted her teeth in frustration. While distracted the little bugger had slipped inside as evidenced by the broken glass and echoing giggling now coming from within the building. Vaulting after her she came face to face with the trigger happy lunatic herself.
"Come and get me if you can fat hands!" Jinx taunted before taking off into the office spaces. Now Vi's specialty wasn't minimizing collateral damage, she smashed through wall after wall in an attempt to apprehend her nemesis. It seems that the girl in the bubblegum blue was well aware and used this to her advantage. In her pursuit several key supports were damaged, and the last thing she heard was "toodles fathands" before a well placed rocket made an exit while at the same time bringing the rest of the building down on top of her. All she could was cover her head and let her shield take the brunt of it.
However the dust cleared fast too fast, and while she was tough she didn't feel a thing. Something was wrong. Sure enough rather than being trapped by rubble Vi found herself crouched defensively in the middle of a grassland. Her first instinct was that she'd been called to a new Field of Justice. But where was the spawn platform, or her teammates? No familiar nudge from a summoner either.
Off in the distance she saw others, the closest of which were two young men. One was dressed modern trend similar to, but different than what was worn on the streets of Piltover. The other was dressed in red martial garb. Neither were out of place on Runetera, and she presumed that these must be new champions. After all only the Institute of War had the capability had the capability to teleport one such as herself at will. With that she stood up and started to make her way over to the later of the two. This was easier said than done.
"Geez, these things must have gained a hundred pounds!" Vi remarked looking at her hefty hands. They were also powered down as indicated by the gauge and the fact that she was wiggling her fingers in her gauntlets without results. "Well this make's thing interesting." Now she was even more determined to get to the bottom of this. If I'm going to be expected to fight my opponents better have similar handicaps. Without any further thought she brashly powered over to the duo regardless of the possibility of them being unrestrained, or enemies. Unwilling to part with her favorite toys her arms dangled at her sides uselessly, she couldn't have raised them if she wanted to. Her shoulders began to scream. "Man, did I really get this tired from chasing that maniac?" she mumbled to herself while still out of earshot.
When she got closer she called out "Name's Vi, is the League playing some kind of joke on us or what?"

| Ib? That was a strange name. It wasn't a Fire Nation name, that was for sure. Come to think of it, it was unlike any of the names Zuko had heard before. Maybe it was a spirit's name... Maybe this was the Spirit World. Zuko had heard the tales of his uncle Iroh's journey into the Spirit World, and knew it was best to not upset the spirits, lest they lash out with their unfathomable energy. Still though, Prince Zuko did not like the idea of putting his swords away. So there it was: risk offending spirits with threatening swords, or risk threatening real people with unknown consequences. Scowling, he sheathed the blades. If this wasn't the Spirit World, he could always firebend.
Then a new person arrived, seemingly out of thin air, as Zuko hadn't noticed her when he'd first looked around the meadow. This added to his guess of being in the Spirit World, but somehow this person's garb didn't quite fit with how he imagined spirits looking. Then again, he was no expert, and she appeared to have giant hands. Was that a spirit trait?
I should ask Uncle about the spirits, Zuko thought, a little upset with himself for knowing so little. The stranger was talking at him. Vi. Another strange name, though not as unusual as Ib.
"League?" Zuko echoed, "what League? What are you talking about?" He didn't like that this new person seemed to know exactly what was going on, and that she thought it was a joke. In his experience, jokes were never pleasant to those they were being played upon.

| Eugene visibly relaxed after a few moments. His glitching soon stopped entirely, although the Eugene still didn't make any eye contact with Kano. He had never been good at eye contact. And something about this guys face wigged him out. If this guy had wanted to attack him, he would have done so already. It was reassuring to know that they were both equally confused with the situation. They had both suddenly appeared here. But something was clearly different, Eugene didn't recall getting punched before showing up here. Only two people knew about his place of residence, endearingly refered to as the dominion, and both of them tended to loudly make their presence known whever entering it.
He found himself struggling with words again. But he should at least say his name. There was no harm in it. This guy clearly wasn't from Seattle, no one dressed so oddly there. "Eugene." He said simply, not extending his hand out for a shake. It didn't seem needed. But then another awkward silence, Eugene stared at his feet with his hands in his hoodie pocket and the hood obscuring his eyes. If he would have been able to speak he would have suggested looking around for some sort of answer as to where they were.

| Miraak growled in response to the new area he was in. He couldn't feel any connections to Apocrypha, rendering him unable to return to his home. He was the farthest away from the group, and wanted no part of the conversations that they had, though it was probably the best idea. Grudgingly he stepped forward, approaching the tiny crowd of strangers. They looked fairly different than the usual dark elf he was used to. One wielded gargantuan metal fists that looked similar to the type of machines that he knew from the dwarves, however, these gauntlets were made up of a different material then the usual bronze alloy used for dwarven smithing. He was not interested. He looked at another, the one with the two swords and the scar on his eye. It was much like his, underneath his mask.
He drew his sword devoured in tentacles, and had no intentions of being friendly. Miraak remained silent, and listened to the conversation. | |

| Garry let out a yelp as a woman appeared from nowhere. What was goig on, here!? His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, along with a bit of sadness. If Ib were here he would have asked her if she was scared. She would have replied with, "Garry's scream is scarier," as sh always did and.. Gah! He needed to find the kid!
He heard the woman- Vi was apparently her name- asking about a league. Apparently the boy with the scar didn't know what she was talking about, either. Wait... They were asking about things as if they were normal humans! Though... The paintings in Guretina did have intelligence. It could be an act. Plus, if he had escaped that wretched place, wouldn't he no longer have this blue rose? Wait... What if they have roses, too? Maybe the Vi girl was sent to the world of Guretina by looking at that painting and- wait. How could he tell?
Garry quickly spun around to face Vi and the scarred boy, speaking with his usual polite demeanor. "Terribly sorry, but if you don't mind me asking," he took out his blue rose, which was still missing a petal. "Were either of you recently in a gallery with... Paintings trying to attack you? Or do either of you have a rose?" It was quite a gambit on Garry's side to do this, but he did need to know this. And he needed to find a way out so he could save Ib. The poor girl couldn't survive in the gallery on her own- she couldn't outrun the paintings of women or the mannequins. And then there's the pictures that spit acid and- oh dear. He had to help her, and soon.
All the while Garry didnt notice the other being that had approached.
-
Kano nodded as the guy- apparently Eugene- introduced himself. Man, he seemed more shy than Kido used to be... Maybe it is like Seto's silence for those dAs? Back before the incident, that is...
He also noticed that the guy had stopped that color thing he had going on. What was it? Kano grinned as he thought. F he hadn't been through the Heat Haze, maybe this guy could help them solve why some of the people couldn't leave it. But then... Maybe not. He seemed kinda wimpy, actually, with how he wa avoiding eye contact and everything... But then Kido used to seem wimpy all te time before she started punching him. Ugh, this was all making his head hurt more.
"You know I met a Eugene, before?" Kano smirked. It was a lie, though it sounded true, coming from his mouth. "Anyway, we should look around or something, try and find out how we got here or where we are." As he spoke, Kano held up both of his hands and shrugged, as a way of showing his cluelessness. Even so, there was still that smile.
"We could ask them if they know," he suggested, pointing towards a group of people that had gathered somewhere else. "But first..." Kano's eyes gleamed as he asked, "Where did you learn to do that color thing?" | |

| Vi looked down at the robed stranger quizzically, then burst out laughing. "You for real?" Either this guy was pulling her leg, or he lived under a rock. Even then some of the League's finest champions were tribals. It was almost unthinkable that anyone hadn't heard of the Institute of War. Well he does look a bit scrawny to be duking it out with the best of the best. Of course Vi knew looks could be deceiving, especially in the League of Legends. There was also the fact that he got that scar, and it didn't look like an accident. However, she was inclined to believe him. This didn't mean she put her guard down though.
"So if you don't have League to settle your disputes, where are you from?" Upon asking the question Vi began to grimace. The hextech gauntlets were just too much weight for her right now, besides powered down all they were was cumbersome. They slid of her arms and landed on either side of her. Anyone close enough would have felt the ground shudder ever so slightly. Flexing her freed knuckles, Vi looked from side to side. She noted that everyone was slowly congregating towards their location, which was fine by her. Saves her the time it'd take to go around to each of them and ask if they knew what was up. In fact one of them had approached her from behind and she didn't even notice him until he addressed her.
"Whoa, wait, what? Being attacked by paintings? Can't say that I have." While quite bazaar sounding, stranger things had happened. To be honest she was more perplexed by him asking if she had a rose because it seemed so trivial in her mind, yet the newcomer seemed to be dead serious. Maybe even a little worried. "I'm not one for flowers buddy, so the answer no." The tone of her voice made it clear she was slightly amused. Here she was dressed ready to rumble, and that's the question she gets. Were it not for vibe she got off of him her response would have been ten times as sarcastic. Hmmm, guessing he doesn't know about the Fields of Justice either since he doesn't know me by name. Either that he has a poor taste in spectating, after all my beat downs are first rate. | |

| Eugene was able to relax even more as Kano continued to talk. Yeah. Eugene could do small talk. That was okay. As long as he remembered to breath and not say anything too stupid he would be fine. Yep. Just keep breathing. However, Eugene wouldn't be initiating any conversations on his own. But answering questions and responding to simple stuff wasn't anything the teen was unable to do. Eugene still couldn't look at Kano's face for more then a couple seconds however, this guys smirk was really throwing him off. He felt a bit confused when Kano mentioned meeting another Eugene before. While the name wasn't rare, it seemed like a death sentence to name your child Eugene. Every single stereotypical nerd in the world had the name Eugene. It was almost like cruel irony.
"Yeah." Eugene spoke, his voice seeming much smaller then Kano's. "Looking around might be smart. We might be able to find a street sign or a local that can direct us." Eugene looked towards the small group of people in the distance, squinting though his shaded glasses. That looked like a good place to start.
But then Kano asked about Eugene's powers. He had to think a moment, it didn't seem like it would be too dangerous to come clean. Whoever this guy was, he wasn't from Seattle. If he was. Then he would have recognized the escaped conduit. "Um...I got my powers like all of the other Conduits. They just kinda happened." His voice remained small. He wasn't about to mention what happened to the bullies after he got his powers. "It just kinda happens when I get anxious, I can't really control the uh" he put up air quotes with his fingers. "Color thing" | |

| Garry winced at Vi's reply. She quite obviously didnt know what the rose was for. "That's not why I asked," Garry slowly said. Well, she was quite obviously not a painting or part of Guretina, and judging by how the scar boy didnt elbow what was going on either, neither was he. Garry looked back at his blue rose. If he was back to the normal world, though, wouldn't he no longer have this rose? And wouldn't Ib be with him?
Garry sighed and placed the rose back in his pocket, his fingers brushing against his lighter that was also there. If this is some sick payback from a painting for burning it out of the way... Let's just hope it isn't.
"So neither of you know what I talk about when I say The World of Guretina? You've never even ears of it?" Garry sighed and shook his head. "This is all so confusing... And I really need to find Ib- she could be devoured by a painted woman for all I know by now..." Garry continued speaking after a pause. "Ah! Where are my manners? My name is Garry." He didn't really bother to reach out a hand- even though these two didn't seem like parts of Guretina, he was still cautious as he had seen how some of the paintings could be rather intelligent.
- Kano -
Kano listened as Eugene explained his powers. Conduits? They just kinda happened? Kano found himself suddenly hunched over, arms wrapped around his stomach as he laughed.
"I-I'm sorry," Kano began, "I-it's just... That completely threw me off!" He let out another burst of giggles, "I mean, my group has been trying to find out how we got our eye abilities, and yours just happeed?" Kano sighed as he stopped laughing, wiping a tear out of his eye. "So you haven't had any near-death experience that gave you your power as you got swallowed into the Heat Haze? Nothing like that sounds familiar?" Kano grinned. "I guess your power retrieval is on the lucky side, then." In truth, Kano was angered. Well, more jealous then angered. He was mostly wondering why everyone in the Mekakushi Dan couldn't have received their powers the way this guy did instead of having near-death experiences? If it "just happened" they wouldn't have lost the perso who was with them in the Heat Haze process- the one persons that is always left behind for the sake of another. And Ayano would have never tried to get a power in such a drastic way. Ugh, why was he thinking like this?
"Well, I have an eye ability, as my group calls them. My power?" Kano smirked, his eyes turning red for a moment. "It is deceiving eyes." He paused after that before letting out a long sigh. "But enough with the socializing. Let's go ask those people if they know where we are." | |

| So the giant-handed lady didn't actually possess giant hands. They were more like oversized gloves, or gauntlets. They reminded Zuko a bit of the stone gloves the guards in the Earth Kingdom had used, to apprehend those disrupting the peace in Ba Sing Se. Did that mean Vi was a bender? He couldn't tell. She didn't look like any bender he had ever seen before. Either way, the mystery of the giant hands was solved, and being in the Spirit World seemed less likely. Vi and the man talking both looked human enough, and humans were supposed to be in the real world.
Roses. Zuko almost suggested the man look for roses in the forest, if they were so important, but decided against it. He tried not to dwell on the name 'Garry' the man called himself, as by now the shock was wearing off. Well, since introductions were being made, Zuko felt the need to own his identity. Somehow he doubted any of these people would know who he was.
"I'm Prince Zuko," he said quietly, "son of Fire Lord Ozai, and crown prince of the Fire Nation. Who's Ib and where's this World of Guretina? Is that where we are?" He was beginning to lose his patience, and confusion had a habit of making him angry. There were important things he could be doing right now, and the fact that he was still holding a teacup seemed to mock that.
Tipping his teacup sideways, Zuko dumped out the remaining cold tea, and asked, "Do any of you know where we are?" | |

| The laughter. Eugene hated Kano's laughter. He could feel himself becoming a horrible mix of passive and anger. Nobody laughs at him. Not any more. It would be so easy to scare Kano away from him. To go back to being by himself. He could already feel his other form. Maybe even his true form coming out. But no. He couldn't let that happen, at least not for such a silly reason. He could deal with laughter. Eugene took a quiet, steadying, breath. His distress was easy to miss, his entire demeanor could come off as forever distressed. He soon realized with his seething anger, that he had missed a bit of what Kano had said. Something about eye powers and near death experiences and having to retrieve them. What the hell was an eye ability?
"Um...I don't really understand what you are saying." He said in his normal soft spoken self. He figured he was going to continue being confused for awhile. "Yeah...um...lead the way." He wasn't going to be talking to any more strangers by himself. | |

| "Nope, never heard of it. Not surprising if painted women that devour people are there." Sounds like something the League would normally intervene in. This solidified that wherever this Garry came from there was no Institute of War playing big brother. Vi had more to say, but she let Zuko introduce himself before going on. Nothing he said rung a bell with her, though she did come up with some smart remarks.
"Well nice to meet you your highness." She bent over and made a sweeping motion with her arm in a mock bow. "This Fire Nation sounds like a fan club for Brand" Vi chuckled. At him pouring out his teacup, she let her jaw drop and feigned shock. "What's wrong with the tea!? That's so wasteful! Just kidding, I don't care. However, Cait here she'd have her panties bunched up over tossing a good cup." Poking fun at her partner was something she thoroughly enjoyed. "As far as where we are it must be some part of Runetera, because if this is what the Void looks like I'm going to laugh."

| A prince? Garry looked at te scar boy- Zuko, apparently- in confusion. Fire Lord Ozai? What are these names? And they didn't know what Guretina was... This is so confusing.
"I don't know where we are, and I have no idea what Runetera is," Garry admitted. "And the World of Guretina is where I just was. It is an art museum that has everything come to life and try to attack you, more or less..." Garry quickly shook his head, "And Ib! What if she is stuck there all alone without any- gah! I need to save Ib!" Garry moaned and shook his head. This was all too much and these two people probably thought he was crazy. And he didn't get why he had his rose, then, if he wasn't in Guretina- he wasn't supposed to need a rose in the normal world, too! Unless...
Garry silently took out his rose again and examined it before pulling a petal off of it. He winced in response, feeling a sharp pain in his stomach appear in result. Nope. Still attached to his lifeline. Garry slipped the rose into his pocket. 8 petals left out of ten... No biggie. He will just need to find some water and the rose will instantly heal. "If I had returned home, then I wouldn't have that blasted rose anymore, also."
- Kano -
Kano smirked. The guy seemed a bit distressed, but he paid no mind to it. He also hadn't seemed to be paying attention to what he had been saying. Oh, well. Guess he will be surprised when Kano plays a trick on him with his powers. Yes, he was planning on it. He did it to Takane and Mary all the time, and sometimes even Momo. It just depended on who he felt like messing with. This guy seems like he would be fun to play a trick on, but maybe he should learn his power, first.
Kano nodded and turned around as he began walking towards the group, calling towards them as he walked. "Hey, hey! Can you guys tell us where we are? I believe my friend and I somehow got a bit turned around!" By his friend he meant Eugene, of course, though he didnt really consider him his friend, but just an aquantence. | |

| "****," Barney said, he was on the ground. Did he just get shelled? His ears were ringing, Head-crabs! Barney stood up swiftly and started to move forward turning around. No shell, no balcony? Where was Gordon..? He was not at Kleiner's lab, he was in the middle of a forest with a meadow to the right. The crowbar was on the ground. "Well, at least I have you..." Barney said and picked it up. He then walked towards the Meadow. He needed to get an idea of where he was, still trying to comprehend how he got here. Maybe a problem with the Combine Portal? Could his small division of rebels done something to cause this? Not likely. He reached the edge of the forest, the clearing was bright, the sky flashed into his eyes and he was temporarily blinded by the light.

| This was it. Mare Imbrium paused just outside the castle and looked up. Here was something she had to do to save Xanth, and she didn't intend to fail. She raised one hoof to step inside the castle, then faltered. Something was happening.
She blinked, stumbled, and barely avoided falling over. When she looked back up, the scenery had changed. There was grass in all directions, illuminated by the midday sun. She squinted, disapproving, and kept looking around. There were several people around, and they all seemed to be humans, or something similar. In the daylight, Imbri would be unable to phase out and escape if any of them were hostile. But it wasn't as if she could simply leave, they had probably already seen her, and where would she go?
Speaking of which...
The nearest group to her included one rather odd person who seemed to have no idea what mood she wanted to be in, along with a young man with a rather nasty looking scar across one eye. Seeing few other options, she approached them, and sent a dreamlet. This was basically a short vision, much like a particularly vivid daydream, in which she appeared as a human girl, which allowed her to speak with them. "Excuse me," she said, "but do either of you happen to know where we are?" | |

| Zuko visible stiffened as his country was insulted. He had no idea who or what 'Brand' was, but Vi's tone told him what he needed to know. He felt divided. Yes, he had left the Fire Nation if favor of helping the Avatar restore balance to the world...and the only way to do that was to overthrow Zuko's father, Fire Lord Ozai. Still, Zuko had no patience for those who wished to slander it.
"The tea was cold!" Zuko snapped, explaining his action. Irritated, he threw the teacup as far as he could, watching it shatter against the trunk of a tree in the distance. Hunching his shoulders, he folded his arms and glared around. The angered prince might have done something more violent if a strange creature hadn't appeared out of nowhere, like everything else in the meadow had.
The creature looked like it was part ostrich-horse, minus the ostrich. It was black as the night sky, and was the most spirit-like thing Zuko had seen since coming to this strange new place. Then Zuko started seeing things in his mind's eye; a pretty girl in a black dress with long, flowing black hair spoke to him. Strangely, this vision-girl also appeared to be speaking to those around him, which indicated they could all be seeing the same thing.
Throwing off by the weirdness, Zuko took a few steps back away from everyone. It wasn't because he was afraid, it was merely because he wanted space apart from unknown entities. "What is that?" he asked himself aloud, obviously meaning the black horse. To it, he inquired, "Are you a spirit?" | |

| World of Guretina? Was this Garry implying that there was multiple worlds? It didn't seem to far fetched. Vi knew that there were other places than Runetera, like the Void, why not more inhabited worlds. This this also meant that whatever was going on here likely didn't involve the League. None of this was familiar. So where were they, and what was going on? The rest of what Garry said was ignored as her head swam with the possibilities. She was interrupted by yet more strangers coming to join them. "I got no stink'n clue." The teacup whizzing away out of the corner of her eye returned her attention once more to the prince.
Vi's lip curled up slightly in amusement, then her expression straitened. Some people are way too thin skinned. Royalty is always so stuck up, then again my remarks might have been uncalled for. Swallowing her pride, Vi cleared her throat. "Hey there sport, I didn't mean to offend you. I tend to say the first thing that comes to mind, and in my line of work I can get away with it. Most of the time." In this she was sincere, however it was take it or leave it. There would be no groveling for forgiveness from her. "I won't slander you any more, but I don't give titles to strangers either. So I hope just Zuko's alright."
Shortly afterwards a pitch black mare approached slowly only to be replaced by a little girl as it drew nearer. Sure enough whoever, or whatever this creature was, it wanted to know the same thing as the rest of them. "Join the club" she said curtly before jumping to what interested her at the moment. "Is it just me, or did you do something weird there?" Describing strange occurrences was not a strong suit of hers. | |

| There was a blood curdling roar from far off in the mountains that was audible to everyone. The ground beneath their feet shuddered. An enormous aura of death was felt, but suddenly stopped, along with the rumbling. The TempleThere was a demonic scream of bloody murder, " I LIIIIIIVE!!" A purple vortex began to form in the center of the grand hall. Pebbles, dust and dirt were all whipped up and now swirling around the vortex. The scene was truly evil. The man of energy in cowboy's attire casually responded to the scream. "Dath, your stating the obvious again." The malevolent shriek toned down to a usual man's irritated voice, "Who said it was a habit, Poew?" The vortex shrunk and everything was put back into it's rightful place. Out of the vortex came two small, white rings. One stood itself up with small suds for legs, while the other floated in place above the other. Dath bounced over to Poew and looked up. "What are you looking at?" Poew stared down at the small figure. "Now you're questioning the obvious." He crossed his arms and leaned against a giant block of glass with a skeleton inside it. Inny burst out laughing at Dath's appearance. He didn't stop for a solid minute, and that was when Dath screamed at him to shut the hell up. "I thought Father gave you the right to use omnipotent beings," Poew stated, as he tilted the brim of his cowboy hat upward. If he had eyes, the hat would be up just enough so that Dath could make eye contact (though Dath didn't have eyes either.) Dath bounced around on his little stubs, "Yeah, yeah, I know. Apparently this is omnipotent, but I'm still getting the hang of the powers." The body may have been omnipotent, but the user definitely wasn't. Poew sighed, "Well, there are some summonings out there. You'd better greet them. It's your turn anyway. I'm gonna wait here for Wisb and Elif." He cleared his throat and made himself comfortable. Dath growled, "I need to make an intimidating appearance, so I need to learn how to make that vortex again..." He tried a few things involving magic, but none of them made another wormhole. Inny remarked and then giggled, "Maybe magic isn't meant to be used by a math problem. Look, I'll help. He held out his hand, and began to say a spell, "Socroutons aide Tod!" He expected the spell to work, but nothing happened. "Oh... I have no fingers..." | |
