RP idea

Well my Mallis RP hasn't been doing so well. Not many people seem interested in my Keros characters anymore. So I guess I'll make a new RP.

I had an idea for one about teenagers and young adults. It will be very dark, have a very gloomy tone. Each person will have a special gift which thrives on a specific emotion or emotions. But these gifts aren't your typical "I shoot fire" powers. Usually they are ways for the individuals to express their emotion. Say if my character was depressed, he'd light himself on fire to express his pain. The fire being symbolic. And he cannot die from his own flames.

A character I plan to make liked to express his madness by making his skin turn into a strange tar-like substance and be capable of crawling onto things like an animal.

Most emotions will be negative. And they need to have a reason for having that emotion. And I don't want that many "evil" characters. Most of the characters will be a little dark and pretty shady. But for now there should be no single central villain. This is a dispute between one individual to the next.

And these gifts are usually kept a secret, I forgot to mention earlier.

Any ideas? How would this do as an RP?

Also, are you still going to RP in Last Life, or are you done with that?

Last Life can go on, but it'll probably be just you and me Prussian.

I like your character concept, Vipera. That's exactly what I was looking for. You got the inception of the RP spot on.

What about a character that shape-shifts depending on emotion?

Sure, but add a twist. Shapeshifters are common in RPs, so give the power something else that makes it unique.

Different parts of your body turns into other parts of your body when you're stressed. Cause for hilarity. Want to run? Sorry buddy, there's a nose where your leg should be.

This seems like a fun idea. I have a good idea for a character who is effected by an extreme flight or fight response

Indeed, very funny. But the RP is supposed to be a bit more serious and I'd like to keep a special dark tone to it.
