End of Infinity IC

The Eradicators picked up on his signal almost immediately. They communicated, and after taking into account their previous encounters with above-average beings, sent 50 Eradicators to the source of the signal. Several minutes past, and then they began to descend on the Observer. Several of them tentatively fired their energy beams at him with perfect accuracy, aiming right at his torso.

The energy beams faded into the Observers holythorn. He mocked them with a yawn. "You have failed to entertain me you trash." He would have sent back the exact beam through his Magnus Hyperion Olympia, though the beams seemed too weak, so instead, he shot a blast that consisted of that as well as a spirit rod he loaded into the gun. It was a rather powerful blast with fair accuracy.

The blast lanced out toward the lead Eradicator...and activated its projectile shield. The blast impacted the shield harmlessly, causing zero damage to the robot. The Eradicators let of a horn blast, then began to land with great force on the ground around him. The thousand foot tall machines towered over him. The bottoms of each began to swarm as each released all ten of its mini-Eradicators. The 500 ten foot tall minis came en masse toward the Observer, the sharp tips of their legs glistening threateningly in the sunlight.

The Observer said to himself as he summoned another code of binding, "I know I shouldn't get so full of myself," he appeared on the top of a giant Eradicator, "but you're making this too easy." He tweaked a few settings on his holythorn and made it so it would drain all the energy from the huge robot.

"I'll warn you, the time is ticking!" Mallis said. He snapped his fingers having the "looking-glass" displaying Keros snap shut into a small yellow orb that flew back to his fingertips.

"First rule of basic conquering, kill them before they kill you. Don't let them outgrow you. Time is your ally. Use it in a way that is good for you."

The Observer's attack drained the Eradicator's shield generator. The Eradicator was still for a moment, then it lurched violently to the side out from under him. As he fell, the minis that had been crawling down the legs of the Eradicators leaped toward him, claws bared. As he fell, if he had looked at the Eradicator he had tried to drain he would have seen the menacing eye almost glaring at him for trying to shut it down.

The Observer appeared back onto the ground and quickly took out a spirit rod, summoning a code of binding, quadrupling the power absorbed, which would increase the size of the blast. He hoped that the giant robot hadn't regenerated its shield as he fired a giant pulse of pure energy, that would vaporize whatever it hit. It had a diameter of 28 feet.

Luckily for him the Eradicator's shield was down for a while. The energy hit the Eradicator square on in the midsection. The Eradicator stumbled back slightly as most of the energy was deflected by its armor and its curved surfaces. As it did this, one of the large Eradicators put its foot down forcefully where he stood.

Veriska yawned, I didn't come here to watch a dance recital she thought to herself. Let's make things more interesting. She seized control of the beings shadow.

The Observer suddenly felt an invisible force constrict him from moving. The black silhouette he cast on the ground looked to be giving a bear hug. From the feet of the shape tendrils appeared and rooted themselves in place, rendering all attempts to displace himself futile.

Blocking wasn't one of the Observers strengths, so instead he summoned a from changer. The code of binding swapped the state of his body, equipment and clothes, from a solid, to a gaseous form. The Observer simply blew upward out of his shadows grasp. The Eradicator's giant foot moved right past the Observer's new form. The only thing that didn't transform, were the spirit rods. They fell onto the ground and the huge robot crushed the spirit rods. When those tiny glowing rods got smashed, it caused a enormous explosion, equivalent to the power of 12 nuclear bombs. This explosion blasted the Observer into the upper atmosphere. There, he reformed back into his solid form. As he fell he smiled, looking down at the explosion. He then appeared back in his own realm.

The huge blast killed the shields of the Eradicators and knocked them flying all over. Some of the ones on the neighboring planet were dispatched to retrieve their fallen comrades. The units that could be repaired were repaired and the others were harvested for materials. They then returned to the world that they had been glassing

The Observer appeared back on his cloud. He began forming his spirit rods back. It took two days and a lot of mental straining to remake them, but they eventually were remade. Those two days never passed in any other realms.

Aww, well he's no fun Veriska thought to herself. Beings and private dimensions these days. Just they wait, they can't hide forever. A crooked smile crossed her lips. While I have this time, I can make some preparations of my own.

She faded away and reappeared momentarily. Now to wait.

Meanwhile, from behind Mallis, a dense dark grew fog billowed along the platform they were standing on along ground level, and the already cold air got noticeably colder. From the source of the fog, a pair of great black feathered wings spread, revealing a figure in a black cloak. The cloak cast its face into shadow and it held a scythe in its right hand. It's left held an hourglass filled with what looked like black sand, except the sand at times appeared to almost be black smoke, absorbing all light that came its way. A dry rasp issued forth from its hood. "Indeed you should beat your enemy before they get too powerful. It seems however that you lack the resources at the moment to do so." it said looking at Mallis. "But perhaps you would be willing to make a deal to get what you need?"
