End of Infinity IC

Zal-Tek was no longer grinning. He had used his more powerful magic and it hadn't gotten him much of anywhere. No, he was edging steadily towards angry, and showed it with a roar. He came up from underneath the Eradicator and clawed at it again, this time with even more magic behind the strike. Even if the shields did activate, they probably would not last long.

Zal-Tek felt the Eradicator's shield fizzle and die out. The machine realized this and its legs collapsed as it attempted to squash Zal-Tek beneath it.
The other two Eradicators fired their eyebeams at Sairei, as did their 19 minis.

Veriska's tactic worked and the Eradicator's fire destroyed the clouds of minis. Immediately, they stopped firing as they took stock of the situation, then they began to form a sphere composed of one Eradicator above her, one below, and a ring of five for the sphere's equator around her and then they fired again

In response Veriska commanded her clones to shadow drive into her surrounding foes, destroying themselves in the process. This allowed her to use her own drive to get away from the incoming fire, and place herself outside of the Eradicator sphere.

Zal-Tek narrowly avoided getting crushed by the mini Eradicator. As he jumped away he flicked his tail upwards, attempting to cut through it slightly with the tail blade. He didn't bother to put magic into the attack, it was simply for good measure.

After he was clear he scrambled on top of a piece of rubble and looked up. A dragon, well that was new. He hadn't expected to see dragons here. "I'm a bit busy here!" He yelled back up, not entirely irritated at the dragon herself. He wondered what she was doing there.

Veriska's tactic worked, and the Eradicators exploded from the clone's suicide attack. In the distance, more yet Eradicators began to come, first 10, then 20, then 50. They all began to fire their eyebeams in her direction from several miles away. The wave of energy beams lanced out towards her, illuminating her with red light as they approached.

Zal-Tek's tail blade managed to do some minor damage to the mini's hull, and this caused the mini to fire at him as he jumped clear, and was assisted in this by the large Eradicator standing nearby. The mini then crouched and pounced at Zal-Tek, attempting to impale him on one of the blades that formed its feet.

Veriska faded into darkness briefly, reappearing out of harms way.

"Haven't you learned?" she hissed under her breath.

She mustered her power once again, this time encasing her foes in solid shadow. Veriska then grinned and began to clench her outstretched hand.

Zal-Tek narrowly ducked under the first beam, shifted to his left to dodge the other, then leapt straight up over the mini Eradicator charging him. In mid air he tilted down, his claws were surrounded in bright red magic as he landed directly on top of the mini before it had even quite landed. The metal was shredded on contact, and Zal-Tek's smile returned slightly.

Still, these things were edging towards the most powerful beings he had ever seen, besides the other gods of course. All of them together would be... He gulped. In the small moment in between attacks he looked back up at the dragon overhead. He wondered if his magic would work on her, but decided against trying it for the moment. She seemed fairly powerful, and he didn't want on her bad side if he could help it. Besides, she was already helping him.

He eyed the huge Eradicator, trying to formulate a plan before it had a chance to attack him again.

The mini Eradicator self destructed as the other mini had done in an attempt to main Zal-Tek. While he was preoccupied with this, the large Eradicator created a storm of energy as it fired its eyebeam multiple times at him.
The other two Eradicators paused for a moment as they synchronized their aim to Sairei's form, then they fired their eye beams right at her, following her every move, and since she was on the ground, this was made much easier.

The Eradicators inside of the shadow struggled as they started to be crushed. Unfortunately for Veriska, they had learned and 100 full-size Eradicators approached at high speed from behind her and fired, creating a wall of energy that came at her at the speed of light, impossible to dodge.

Veriska sensed the incoming enemies as soon as they mobilized, but still not in time to doge. Fortunately her shield was still at full, and Veriska vanished without a trace behind its protection.

She appeared planet side in the midst of the destruction. On the ground bellow Veriska could make out two figures locked in combat with yet more Eradicators.

Zal-Tek was, once again, blasted into the air.  The smile was instantly replaced with a snarl.  He really needed to practice ranged magic, no matter how much he personally disliked it.  He shielded himself with bright gold magic once again, unable to dodge mid air, and absorbed the blows.  He had to stop letting this happen.

He easily righted himself and landed perfectly on his feet.  He stood there for a split second, then snapped his head up, eyes glowing brightly, and roared.  He launched himself into the air, putting a lot of magic into his speed, and aimed for the Eradicator's leg. He really hoped the shield was turned off or something, considering the speed he was going at, but he stretched his claws out in front of him anyway, either to latch onto the leg or, at the very least, damage the shield.

The 150 Eradicators that had been assaulting Veriska were confused; all of a sudden their target had disappeared. They began to disperse as they began searching for her.
The Eradicator's shield absorbed the Zal-Tek's remaining kinetic energy. This small being was becoming increasingly difficult to deal with and the eyebeams, while seeming to do damage, weren't doing enough. The Eradicator smashed the ground near Zal-Tek with one of its massive feet. It let off a deafening blaring noise and fired its eye beam over and over at him.
The other two Eradicators watched as their eyebeams not only helped the winged creature, but allowed it to shoot a similar beam at the remaining minis, destroying them. They also surged forward and began stomping the ground and firing like mad at her. As the eyebeams hit, they fused the ground into glass, and soon the air was filled with flying shards.

Zal-Tek had barely landed before the ground started shaking. He shrieked, very surprised for a moment, then looked around wildly. He didn't see any solid ground to stand on, so he poured a large amount of magic into a thick golden shield. He definitely couldn't keep it up as long, but it would still be more than long enough. Still, the ground moving underneath him was... Not ideal, and he preferred not to be hit by a whole lot of projectiles, even with full magical shields.

He leapt around, dodging things and trying to come up with a plan amid the chaos. He noted that somehow the dragon above him had begun using the exact same beam attack as the Eradicators, but decided not to give it too much thought considering his current situation. Instead he ran (occasionally stumbled) across the shaking ground towards the Eradicator's legs, hoping to bypass the shields and not get squashed in the process.

Zal-Tek slowed down somewhat, but didn't stop entirely, he had to keep moving simply to avoid falling over. He looked up at the dragon, trying to quickly analyze what she might try to do to help, or what abilities she might have based on what he had already seen.

"Yeah, this is far from my best plan," he called back up, "but unfortunately I can't fly. Unless..." He looked up at the Eradicator for a moment, then narrowed his eyes slightly.
"You think you can get me on top of that thing?"

It was fairly rare that Zal-Tek flew. Therefore, he felt somewhat awkward. He did his best to be streamlined, but he wasn't sure if he was helping or not. Regardless, he tried to shield not only himself, but the Sairei too, though her shield ended up being a good amount weaker than his.

Once again he rather wished he had trained in ranged magic, but that would have to wait. He gritted his teeth nervously as beams flew by the pair of them, knowing that he couldn't do anything to dodge them even if he tried.

Zal-Tek shook his head slightly, already preoccupied. He grinned, gathering a large amount of magic in his claws for a moment. Then he reared up and smashed his claws down forcefully onto the metal top of the Eradicator. When they hit a shockwave went out, a flash of light in red and gold. His claws dug a hole just slightly bigger than his head in the metal at his feet, exposing whatever was beneath.

As the light died down, Zal-Tek just hoped that whatever was underneath was important, and not just more armor.

Now in the clear, Veriska watched the two figures with amusement. It appeared that the winged one had dropped its companion on top of one of the machines. She sensed their desperation and a thin smile spread across her lips.

Veriska decided she was content watching for the moment.

Zal Tek saw beneath the armor structural framing, along with power conduits, wiring, and various machine parts. Crammed into the center of it all was a large armored ball, which was attached to a larger conduit that ran down the center of the Eradicator hull.
The other two Eradicators saw Zal-Tek drop onto their companion's hull and saw him rip open a hole in the top of it. They saw their moment and fired at him and Sairei's form multiple times. At the same time, they saw the sphere casing glow and then erupt as the Eradicator self destructed. A large shockwave of radiated, followed by a huge explosion that knocked out the shields of the other two Eradicators and flattened all the buildings for several blocks.

Zal-Tek went flying. His fur was singed, and the force of the blast disoriented him. He hadn't expected to suddenly be moving at such speeds, or even for there to be an explosion of any kind. He supposed he should have. Either way, he hasn't really had enough shields up for the massive explosion. He saw the ground blur under him, and he didn't even move. He didn't want to go home yet...
