Academy 218 - Superpower School OOC (Always Open)

We're gonna need some crowd control up in here.

Shade two things; The Valos approached Leila (Not that it really matters now), and Abraham also walked up to Drake and Val.

I'm going to start the actual training session in a few posts, just want to try to get a bit of the interaction wrapped up.

I'm going to wait for DB and/or Shade to post before I do.

Alright. So I see people are carving up teams. If I might add this, Sage gets healing powers when she receives Eli's Angelic Aura (Allan and I already decided that) and the aura can allow Leila to control her demons, so the three of them together would be deadly together. Neal and Animoore would also be quite the combo, though Al hasn't used her here yet. I'll try to add Rose to the post I'm working on right now so she actually gets used. Black has no use here so he'll stay in the background, and I'll have Neal wonder where Animoore is.

Oh hell they would. Drake has a bit of versatility in his ability, as well as having an initial power that allows him to put some distance between him and the other guy. Val has some crowd control and utility with that eye of his and winter mayhem. Abe just goes all out offensive. All three of them would be pretty overwhelming.

Speaking of the three of us, yo Shade. Even a little edit or a short post would be enough for me to get moving, try not to sweat it so much. Anything is better than nothing.

Also I had Eli approach Leila.

Hm... I'm really considering having the next act be about the arena and fights there since everyone was talking about it, and I have little idea of what to do next act. That cool? If we do the arena then, we should form teams and do stuffs.


And I'm still going to do the school myth subplot this act, right after the training ends.

EDIT: Another pairing that could work well in a pinch combat situation would be Rose, Sage, and Eli, as Sage's healing powers would allow Rose to breathe a lot better, though this should only be in emergencies or if attacked, as Rose is far too weak to fight in the arena.

Maxx, Lily is with Merry, just so you know.

I want to see Merry and Abe team up at one point, since she is tiny and he is huge

Okay guys, so incase you all didn't know, I, with Lone's permission, added/changed an aspect of Eli's power: the Angelic Aura. This is how the new aura works.

So Eli's angelic aura is powered by faith. Whether it be faith in a deity, faith in a spouse, or faith in an idea, the more faithful you are to any one thing, the more the aura works (it has to be something outside of yourself, however; you can't be faithful in yourself for this to work). In Eli's case, the aura causes demons to become afraid of him and gives him authority over ghosts, however there's a caveat in the power; it's transmissible. Now Eli doesn't know this, but he has the ability to transfer his Angelic Aura to anyone else. The aura spreads via emotional interactions with others, meaning that the more you get to know Eli, the more of the aura you receive. Now once a character has discovered that they have the angelic aura (Jasmine will eventually enlighten all of the people with it to their plight) they can activate it by thinking about what they're faithful to. Depending on the strength of their faith, the aura can actually strengthen their powers and allow them to access abilities that they wouldn't be able to access in any other way. Sage, for example, can use the angelic aura to give himself healing powers, and Rose will be able to use it to temporarily clear her lungs of mucus, allowing her to breathe much better. You can only spread the angelic aura if you know that you have it and if you form a personal relationship with someone who does not have the aura. But before the aura starts spreading, I want to compile a list of what everyone's characters will be able to do with the aura active (so Lone can check it and all and so we don't have to deal with it later). So either post here or pm me about it and I'll eventually put something on Eli's sheet file on the character deposit listing everyone's aura ability. If you have any questions about the aura, pm me (as I know it's confusing).

Here's examples of what my characters can do with the aura:

Jasmine- Jasmine doesn't have a lot of faith in anything, so the power simply makes her ESP work slightly more frequently.

Neal- Neal doesn't have very much faith, but I plan to eventually have him develop a great deal of faith in friends like Animoore. When Neal eventually gains his aura, he will be able to do the one thing he's never done; create things with moving parts.

Eli- Eli has an incredible amount of faith in God and his religion, and this makes him one of the strongest users of the aura, as well as it's origin. With this aura, Eli gains an air of trust and charisma. People seem to really like Eli and think that he's always telling the truth. Eli also gains the power to cast out and banish weak demons and ghosts. Eli is immune to powers that can be weakened by true faith, such as wrath-Leila's hellfire or his own penance stare.

Rose- Rose has faith in medical science, God, and the hope that she'll be cured. When she activates her aura, she is temporarily freed from her disease. The mucus in her lungs clears up and the fibrotic tissues in her endocrine and respiratory systems temporarily return to normal.

I know, I have a ton of CENSORED to do for tomorrow but I will definitely post as Leila and Arianna tomorrow. Guys I am really sorry, I know I've been slowing everybody down, this time of year is like cray cray busy for me.

pfft yeah. But I still think they would work well together, since Merry is rather physically weak.
