Ene -
Ene screamed, backing away as Titus broke through the Titanium wall. She found herself in an even worse state of panic then before. She had to do something. Something...
Jake told them to leave and then told Titus to do his worse. No. NoNoNo. She couldn't just run away as Jake got hurt. She wouldn't use her power, though- she refused to. But then she could easily make Titus think that Adam was nearby or that Jake could turn into some large freaky beast or.... No. Stop. She shouldn't think that way. Memories make you. That's why she didn't get rid of the memory of her and her mom's fight. She could still threaten, though, right? The thought was irrational and pretty stupid- something probably provoked by fear. No. She shouldn't reveal her power, even.
"Stop!" Was all Ene could shriek, not wanting to run and yet not wanting to fight. "Titus..." She was looking down at the ground, "Please leave him alone. It won't accomplish anything."
- Jaylin and Kynan -
Kynan remained turned away from the body, continuing to stare at the ground and cry. It wasn't until Adam sent some wind towards him that he began to move and walked around the corner to escape the wind. Jaylin unmerged from his brother, also crying, as the two sat down on oppisite ends of the hallway, their feet facing each other and leaving a small opening for people to walk between them. The both had their arms on their knees and chins resting on their folded arms. The twins weren't usually ones to cry, but this was an exception. They were both fearful of a murderer and sad for a dead body and had both seen something one should never see in their life. Both were pretty much traumatized.
Kynan, who would do that?
Crazy people. My question is why?
Dacious was written on his stomach. He is probably why.
You're probably right. Should we tell Len about this?
No.
Agreed. He will only worry.
They heard Drake ask a question about the school. It was probably rhetorical, but...
"Dacious..." Jaylin mumbled, still sitting.
Kynan finished the statement, "... He is the cause of this. Stay away from him."
The statement only made sense. Len told them to say away what if he knew something about this? What if...?

Abraham Gene
Spoiler:
Abraham thought nothing more of the scream than just some kid getting scared out of their wits, despite what Drake thought of it. Even it had been something really important like some mad-ass serial killers or big bad monsters, the guy was pretty capable for what its worth. He did, though, give some word and gesture pertaining to 'good luck!', but frankly, Abe didn't see any reason why he'd need any luck for whatever it was. He shrugged it off, and continued his march indoors, opposite of Drake, where he opened the doors and was greeted by a breathe of warm air. Hurrying inside, he closed the door behind him and unbuttoned his pea coat. Now, where could he go? They might have been at the lounge - that was his best guess. If not there, maybe the cafe? Poor lover boy seemed pretty cheesy like that! All Abe he had to do was find his way there in the dark.
Which turned out to be much less of a task than he thought it would be. What little light there was bounced off the walls, which at least gave him some idea of where he should be walking, a silhouette hovering above it when students walked past him. Signs were obscured and indiscernible, so he was left to rely completely on his sense of direction. Hmph, nothing too hard. This was like the alleys, all over again... and like the alleys, a sudden noise made his ears perk. It had to have been loud, and yet it covered some distance and was muffled by such. It was followed by echoes. Deep, guttural echoes. "...break... f*cking neck..."
Anyone who has ever been anywhere would have the sense to realize that this probably wasn't any good. Abraham actually felt a little indifferent, but was awfully curious about what the commotion was about, especially since something about the voice he heard sounded familiar. His pace sped up to a light jog and he hastily cut around corners following his ears. This was a pretty difficult feat to perform due to nature of echoes and the cavern-like structure system of the hallways. He heard another voice not too far - except it was more frantic and scared. Familiar, yet alien. "Girls run!"
This of course, actually made Abraham feel a little nervous. The voices sounded familiar and there was definitely something happening... something familiar... like Sam.
Abraham's jaws clenched and went into a full on sprint, every muscle in his body was tense, the thoughts in his head racing. Thinking only "mustn't be late" over and over, he turned the corner - and in doing so, the sound of Jake's body striking the wall ringed through the hallways; the loud, thunderous sound - like a gunshot - made his heart jump. At the end of the hallway stood Titus' hulking body standing over Jake, beaten. The girls were off to the side scared out of their mind, frozen like deer in headlights. It only took a moment for him to look at the scene and realize the situation... it's almost parallel...
Abe ripped off his coat, his face contorting into one of only rage, and sprinted down the short hallway from behind Titus. His sights were fixated on him, barely noticing Arianna as he zipped passed her. Abe made a final leap, his entire body beneath his clothes morphing into solid stone mid-flight. Along with all the weight and inertia that came with him, Abe took his large brutish hand to grab the side of Titus' head and with a final heave, Abraham swung his arm - and Titus - into the solid wall beside him. The wall exploded with concrete and drywall, filling the the hallway with dust. Abe took just a moment to glare at Jake who lay there pitifully on the ground.
"Quit faking your baby face and make like a real man!" Abe yelled, his creased brows and forehead only emphasizing his glaring eyes that had bore into Jake's own. "Get up and get those two girls out of here!"
Jesse Sutor
Valery was a well-meaning and pretty kind guy, so it didn't take much of his goofy Russian charm to warm Jesse up again. All Jesse could do was make a relieved sigh and lean against the wall behind him. Frankly, he was just glad it was over with. He didn't want Gabe coming back, and if what Valery says is true, they won't be having much more of those kinds of people coming back. What he said was reassuring: more down-low, taking the heat, and Jesse wouldn't have to be involved in all that nonsense. This was good. Very good. It means he'll be able to relax a little bit. His friend's jest actually made him laugh a little bit, what with doing his bootlegging in someone else's room. "Heh, yeah. And maybe you'll be able to set them up. You may not have the best habits, but I'm glad you're my room mate and not someone else."
He looked at Lily and Merry, his other two friends. Lily didn't seem very amused, though relieved that Gabe had finally left. Merry looked straight up drunk off her ass. Huh. Funny how the most timid and innocent girl - er, person - in their group had to be the one to get wasted. She'd probably regret every minute of it tomorrow. But on the bright side, she'd at least be pretty easy to amuse and make happy the rest of the night...

Titus
(Please refer to Lieo's song for this post)
Now he was upside down. Titus let out a yelp of surprise as he found himself crashing through the wall at high speed. His arm struck the concrete and pain surged up to his shoulder. There was definitely a bruise there, but it would heal within thirty seconds. Titus slowly staggered to his feet to meet the eyes of his opponent; it was Abe, the jackass new kid that made him look like a chump in the hallway a few days ago! He was covered in rocks now, but Titus didn't mind. That just made it more fun to break his legs and make him crawl home. Titus' cracked his neck (it was a bit louder this time, corroborating for Titus' belief that one of his vertebrae had been out of alignment) and charged at Abe full speed. He swung at his face as he spoke, hoping to catch Abe off guard as he spoke and land a glass jaw hit. Titus was partially concerned about this fight. Abe seemed like someone you really didn't want to piss off, but he wasn't going to back down now. He would never back down. Never again.
The grimy, bitter taste of brick dust mixed with blood adorned his lips and filled his mouth with scorn. He was laying face-down in an alley, a puddle of blood quickly beginning to form from his broken nose and a chorus of laughter buzzing in his ears like a pack of wild hornets. He tried to rise up again, but was put back down by a sharp kick with a steel-toed boot to the ribs. He could already feel the nose crunching itself back into place loudly, but the pain still lingered. It always did. He was a punching dummy and there was not a thing in the world he could do about it. Titus wondered if he had done something horrible in a past life that had given him this punishment. Maybe God and the devil had a bet on him to see if he would crumble into the dust like they did Job. He entertained his mind with these imaginings as another barrage of kicks and punches crashed down upon his body. He cried out as another kick hit him between the legs, and tears began to well up in his eyes.
"Oh is the freak crying?" a boy taunted "Let's give him something to cry about!"
"Please." Titus muttered "Just stop. I-I'll do anything. I'll run away! I don't care! Just stop hurting me!" He felt a rough hand grab him by the neck like one would a dog. He was lifted off of the ground as the flurry of pain came to an abrupt ceasefire. Bliss. He now found himself looking in the eyes of Darrel, the school bully and the leader of these assaults.
"What did you say, freak?" Darrel spat, literally. Tears ran down Titus' face and mingled with the blood, causing the grimy bitterness to turn salty.
"Just stop." Titus choked out "You're hurting me. P-please. I-I'll do anything." Darrel looked up and yelled something to the crowd with a wide toothy grin. There was another chorus of raucous laughter, and Darrel lowered back to Titus' level.
"You want to do something to make it end, kid?" Darrel roared "Then kill yourself!" He threw Titus to the ground and kicked him in the face, causing one of Titus' eyes to sting with pain. He spat on Titus, and kicked him thrice in the right arm. At that moment, Titus felt something awaken in him. As the melancholy depression of being the school bully's chewtoy and the burning rejection of having no friends echoed through his crumbling soul, Titus felt a new emotion; anger. His face turned beet red and his fists clenched. He had enough. Now it was his turn to hurt people. Titus rolled over and rose to his feet just as the other boys began to draw closer. They ranged from ages fourteen to sixteen, with Darrel being the only seventeen-year-old. All of them were older than Titus, who was only twelve. One of them jeered at the risen chewtoy, and the crowd of onlookers laughed. Titus took a step towards Darrel, who now turned around with a look of amusement on his face.
"You got something to say, freak?" Darrel jeered "Or did we break so many of your teeth that you can't speak?" More laughs came from the ten or so boys (and two girls) who stood around. Titus was now overflowing with anger. Tears flowed freely from his eyes and caressed his cheeks as they began their suicidal freefall from his chin to the dusty ground below. He was done being the chewtoy. His arms and legs shook, but not from anger or fear. Something was happening, and it filled him with power and courage. This ended now.
"I do." Titus replied quietly, spitting a clod of bloody mucus from his mouth to clear his speech "This ends now!" Titus roared as the energy coursed through him. His body became a live wire. Darrel's eyes flickered with fear, but he couldn't back down now. That would make him look like a coward. He stepped forward and swung a left hook at Titus' head. Maybe it would knock the look of insanity out of his eyes. Titus grabbed Darrel by the left forearm and squeezed. Blood began to flow from between Titus fingers, and a loud crack split the air. Darrel screamed as he realized that this blood was his own. Titus had just shattered his radius and ulna with one hand. Titus smiled as his left hand gripped Darrel's bicep tightly. He lifted the writhing bully off of the ground and threw him at the crowd of onlookers. The two girls screamed and ran off, saying something about calling the police. Darrel's body crashed into two other boys, knocking them onto their backs. He still screamed like a young girl and clutched his arm gingerly. Tears ran from Darrel's face like a faucet, but Titus no longer cared. He would never care again. Titus rolled up the tattered sleeves of his flannel shirt and advanced towards the three boys laying on the ground. Now it was their turn to be the chewtoy.
Claire
Claire was half-frozen in shock as Adam began to push her away. Her eyes were still fixed on the blood on the wall that clung like a fresh coat of paint. She smacked into the wall at the end of the hallway and fell on her rear, her pupils fully dilated and her face lacking color. Her shadows huddled around her tightly, forming a forcefield to protect her from attack. Both flashlights hovered in the air next to her head and casted light down onto her legs and midsection. She began to shiver as her eyes fell to meet the ground. She was going into shock, and yet she hadn't sustained any injuries. She shook herself out of it and began to look around wildly, unable to see through the dark despite her flashlights.
"Drake?" she called out "Drake? Where are you?"
Eli
"Um...um...sh*t. I don't remember." Lucy said to Eli. He sighed and rested his hands on the table, looking down at the floor. Great; another dead end. This was starting to get old and it had only been a week. How did detectives do this?
"She doesn't know." Eli replied "Can't remember. That's normal, actually. The shock of dying makes ghosts forget who they are." Eli obviously spoke with the voice of one who had dabbled with phantoms before.

Arianna Madrigal
Have you ever gotten up too quickly and gotten b*tchslapped by one of those headrushes? The kind that make all the color in the world blur out of focus like an old TV, make sounds go quiet and thoughts go a little trippy? Arianna was having one hell of a headrush right now.
Staring at her fingers, best she could see them in the darkness of the hallway, Arianna tried to steady...anything, really. Her ears were ringing faintly, her sense of balance seemed to be mocking her at this point, and the Symphony was making focusing next to impossible. Normally, there was a very clear line between what Arianna was perceiving normally and what the Symphony was whispering to her-but, as heavily as she'd pushed herself keeping Jake from being a human rag doll, she'd shot that to h*ll.
A bird was staring at her. Arianna blinked. There are not birds in this hallway.
The bird was still staring at her.
"F*ck you, bird," Arianna murmured, which didn't accomplish much, but it made her feel a little better.
"Run!" the bird shrieked, sounding rather similar to Jake before a stray rock came flying at it, making it flutter away. Mmm. Yes. Running. Seemed like a good idea. It was cowardice, before, but Arianna felt at this point, it was mere common sense. Crawling (and, this was more difficult than you would think, given the floor seemed to be actively resisting her, and also the floor was over her head and the ceiling beneath her) to the closest wall, Arianna pressed herself against the solid, stable object with almost sexual desperation, taking a moment to try and right her sense of up and down. Half her body up against the wall, Arianna half-staggered, half-crawled away from Titus' and Abe's slugfest, towards what appeared to be a very young Arianna singing in her favorite childhood dress-but young Arianna shifted and was instead Jake, punch-drunk and groaning in pain.
The thoughts of Titus raping her or Jake or Ene dying were vague, abstract ideas at this point: it was not selfishness that made Arianna's thoughts so preservation-oriented, but rather the kind of narrow-mindedness that comes from being so close to passing out. She simply didn't have the energy to spare, and it was proving oddly productive. Inch by inch, the almost comically dizzy songbird began pushing her way down the hallway, stopping only when she ran into something. She tried to push against it for a moment or two and her arms gave way-after a few seconds more, she twisted and looked up, seeing absolutely nothing but hearing Ene.
Worth a shot.
"Ene," Arianna muttered, unable to get her voice much higher than whisper. "I..." Arianna's voice drifted off as she stopped, struck by another headrush, and the tinnitus doubled in intensity. "Ugh. Help."
Felina
A grin stretched across Felina's face as Jaska hesitated for a moment, maybe two, then began eating her kill. Normally, she wasn't fond of sharing, unless it was with the express purpose of sharing-for example, if she was bringing food back for her family or something similar-but given that Jaska was younger, and seemed to have some incomprehensible hold-up regarding his natural instincts, Felina didn't mind. She didn't spoil the meal by talking, eating quickly and methodically-she found the thickest muscles and tore them out with practiced precision, eating to fullness but not to excess. There was no point in gorging herself. Leaving some leftover for the ravens and the lesser beasts kept things working, on a grand scheme. Felina, as wildly confused as she was by the Academy's grand scheme, was okay with keeping the big picture the way it was.
After a few minutes of silence (save for the crunching of bones being snapped like toothpicks and muscles being ground down into nothingness), Felina licked her lips, curled up on the snow, and began to lick her paw somewhat lazily. "Mmm. Those fools in the cafeteria just don't know what they're missing. I imagine you don't eat this well in America, eh?"
Valery Arsov
"Ah, likewise, my friend, likewise. Nick Frost and Danny Phantom. We make good team." Val paused, displaying a rare moment of social savviness as he watched Jesse eye Merry. Oho! Well, Val wasn't one to assume the worst-that Jesse had gotten her inhibitions down by getting her wasted-but he was a little amused that his earlier assumption, that of Jesse being a total player with all three girls, was somewhat true. Val, the consummate wingman, wasn't going to linger and mess things up for Jesse-especially given the heart attack he seemed to have given Jesse regarding the illegal liquor and people busting down the doors and whatnot. "Ah, listen. I'm going to go try and find Gabe, see if I can get some of that back. You good to handle these two?" Val asked, hopefully conveying a bit of pride in a somewhat subtle manner. He playfully ruffled Jesse's hair before, whistling, slipping out of the room. He closed the door shut, chuckling to himself. Perhaps I should put a sock over the handle, eh?
"Well, what to do, what to do. I do not want to go see Lady MacBeth again. She is violent and I do not feel like fighting girls. Also, I might've caused power outage, so I should probably have a good...all-uh-bye. Hmm. Sh*t. Valery, my friend, you can't do anything simply." Undeterred by the rather strange progression of events the evening had witnessed, Val meandered down the hallway, blissfully unaware of corpses or wall-shattering fights a few floors below him.

Drake Deltori Blackmore.
Drake's head turned to the side towards Kynan and Jaylin, not moving any other body part. His face was stern and blank as ever. "Look kids..." Drake really needed a cigarette right now, and it didn't matter whether or not he'd get chewed out by Adam for smoking indoors. He lite the cigarette, and slid it in between his lips, and took a puff out of it. "I wouldn't jump to any conclusions when we all know so little. If anything, you two should stay away from him." He voiced what he needed to say. He was unsure of who would be behind this, and for what reasons. Dacious was a person that never exactly crossed Drake's mind - Actually, ever since his little spat with Amimoore, he was intentionally ignorant to the headmaster and his family. Obviously, there might be things that are out of Dacious' hands. They could be terrorists demanding something. They say 'Give us what we want' but what do they want? These people broke God's law, and who pays? The students, that's who.

He heard Claire's voice not too far away. Her voice was hoarse, distressed, and worried. Drake turned to her. Seeing herself squatted down onto the ground... It didn't take a psychologist to know that she was not taking seeing the dead guy that well. Drake took it upon himself to comfort her. He walked over, the moment he was next to her, he sat down on his own behind. "Hey..." He said, devoid of that confidence and bravado he displayed in the past when they first met. Drake was utterly at a lost for words. "Not how I thought the night would turn out..." He was hoping that just being there would be enough. "If I get my hands on the f*cker responsible for this..."
Drake then offered her a cigarette out of his carton. Might as well smoke the night away.
Jake Vin Valos.
Things were still blurry, but Jake knew that things were starting to work out in their favor. A savior came to Jake in the shape of someone unexpected Abraham Gene. The guy he thought was an arrogant jackass, but that wasn't important. What was important was the fact that he's keeping Titus from pounding his face in any further - Which makes Jake totally forget about how much he didn't like the guy! He figured that now would be a great time to... Leave. Get the hell away from the slugfest before he gets in the middle of it. Jake tried to use all of his strength, which he had little of right now, to get himself onto his feet. Which he had managed to accomplish, but mixed with the pain he was in right now, he might as well be on the ground again. He managed to make out Abe's command just well. He shot Abe a glance. My ribcage is about to pop out, jackass. I'm not faking sh*t. Jake still had enough of his wits to know that it would be best to keep his voice down.
Taking seconds was difficult, because right now, Jake would rather be on the ground. But, it would be better to be on the ground away from the rockman and the hulk going at it. He managed to drag himself to Arianna and Ene, that's when his vision started clearing up. It looked like Arianna was tired. He put his hand on her shoulder, and was leaning on her, merely because of his lack of own strength right now. "Let's go. Now." Jake said, trying to pull Arianna along with him, out of here. He gestured for Ene to come along.
The fight, however it goes, doesn't need the three anywhere near here. Jake was going to find someone to help. Titus should get into some big trouble.
Sage Lucas Pimm.
"Oh..." Sage said, loosening up their shoulders, and taking another sip out of the coffee. They tried to help the best they could... Only to find out that the ghost girl doesn't know her own last name. Ugh. Sage might as well be somewhere else because they aren't very helpful right now. There was another suggestion that Sage had, if it didn't work, then well, might as well give up, "How about we ask Dacious when the power comes back on...? Or Leon, he's really nice, and can really help us?"
Jaska Din Valos.
There wasn't much enthusiasm coming from Jaska in regards to consuming this fallen dear. After a few scraps, and rips of the flesh, Jaska was done. He stood straight up and looked at his bloody claws, Jake told him a few nights back that he shouldn't walk around smeared in animal blood. It'll cause a scene. Instead of licking himself clean like Felina did, he took another approach to getting the blood off his claws. He rubbed his claws in the snow, trying to wipe the blood off, and leaving behind red snow, and knife-like gashes in the snow.
Shade wrote:

Jaska does eat well. Coming from a rich family, he was served the finest foods out there. But food for them just never appeased Jaska anymore - No matter how hard his parents tried. It brought about the same awkward feeling that he just experienced here eating what Felina had caught. It was all about the hunt of catching it himself. "No." Jaska blankly answered, he wrapped his tail neatly around his waist. "I only ate rabbits." He looked around, his senses were picking up everything going on. Something odd was going on, there were no other predatory animals nearby. Subconsciously, Jaska was repelling all the other preying animals. Their own instincts and inferior minds were overloaded and just told to stay the hell away from this one boy. Eh. Jaska never noticed his control over other beasts. "So, um..." He wanted to keep the conversation going... Even though he knew that he was talking to someone who was more animal than human. The small amount of cynicism in the boy had told him that it would ultimately be a pointless effort. "You... talk... like you're not from America. Where are you from?" He spoke with the same amount of hesitancy that he always had.

Seth and Vance
The moment Adam got within view, Seth stopped applying pressure to the wounds. The medics wouldn't be far behind, and would take it from there. He got straight to business like usual. "I'd like to accompany the medical team to save time. With all due respect for their talents, I already have a more detailed synopsis than equipment will provide." I assume they have the containers I advised for preserving his severed parts. "If that fails there are few with the powers to reverse the process. Two associates of mine in fact would do the job nicely. Of course lets try to leave them out of it if possible." Seth knew that Cassandra would refuse to help out a fellow student during the blackouts, which she loved so much, and Kate was very squeamish. Chances were that Cassandra would have to alter Kate's senses for her to be on any help. "This wasn't done long ago and there is a high likelihood of returning him to normal minus scarring and lack of motor skills. Before I go, what do you think about the message?" It was hard to lie to Seth, and he knew something was up well before the ruins trip. Any sort of response would give him some insight to how much Adam knew, even none at all.
Vance got pushed back like everyone else, but he was just frozen in place. The image of the body was ingrained in his mind and he couldn't shake it. The last time he'd seen anything so horrific was when Cassandra tormented him all those years ago. Memories form then mingled with now placing him into shock. No tears came out, he was trembling eye wide, mouth agape, and breathing unsteadily.
Looking around Seth noted that more responders were going to be needed for the onlookers than the victim.
Kate
Seconds after getting poured, Kate took the shot and downed it in one gulp. Gabe was already drunk, so what the heck. In her hastiness she swallowed some air though. She struggled to contain it, which could have been interrupted as not being able to handle her liquor. Realizing this she decided to let it out in the form of a mild belch. "Excuse me" she said blushing. Hopefully she'll forget about that. The question she posed gave her an opportunity to quickly move on. "I'm okay now, just been a while." I'll take the next one like a champ. "There's not really a whole lot to say about me. Just a city girl who discovered there was something different about her. Three years ago I got sent here. Worked as a waitress then, work as a waitress now." Of course there was more, but mentioning that she wasn't always such eye candy, or her tastes in company wouldn't win Gave over. When it came to personal conversations she was as shallow as can be, preferred to just stick to flirting. On that not she tired to change the subject. She'd ask about her host's life later. Kate bit her lip. "I don't remember the last time somebodies waited on me, kinda nice." This was of course referring to Gabe playing bartender.
Eric
It didn't seem like they were going to say anything, but then ruins were mentioned. Don't know anything about those. "Sounds exciting. I'm pretty new here and haven't heard about them." Ray sounded like he should have said that. Could be breaking the rules or something. Anything rundown is likely to be off limits. "Wait, I know what you guys may be thinking. I'm no hall monitor. The dweeb was committing pointless vandalism, and I didn't even notice him. The girl I was with must have some sort of extrasensory ability. Anyways, it was her idea to take him down, not that I wouldn't have stepped up to the plate myself." Hmmm I think this guy has a social disorder, maybe even related to his power. Might even make him more interesting, plus he seems to speak his mind. Something I wish people did more often.

Jackson "The world might be ready for me but am I ready for the the world"? wasn't sure how he would even go about telling anyone and would he really want that attention to fall on his head? Shape-shifters were kinda mistrusted in most of the community but could you really blame them? Would you trust a person who could be anyone? ,imitate anyone? Being a shapeshifter didn't exactly breed trust. "Maybe....but I' ll let them know in due time when it's right." He then actually smiled "oh my gosh it feels like a friggen episode of some sappy romance show I need to lighten up." He then pulled his collar a bit nervously he had no idea what to say next This was the longest conversation he had probably had with someone it quite a while "kinda long blackout huh? Wonder what's causing it"
Anthony His stomach growled so he went to a vending machine where he put eight quarters in before remembering that the machine doesn't work without power "Danget" he said a little angrily before punching the code buttons...then a few of the buttons fell off leaving a fist dent in the now broken vending machine "Aw sh*t" he was NOT going to get detention over this so Anthony casually strolled away from the machine and hoped no one would catch him.

Ene -
Just when she thought she thought the situation was going to worsen, things got better. Ene felt herself relax a small amount- she was still scared, of course, but a bit better- when some guy arrived and began to fight Titus. She didn't want anyone to fight, though she was secretly hoping this newcomer would win the fight.
She heard Arianna whispering... what did she say? ...oh. Help. Ene quickly turned to face Arianna, who looked like she was close to passing out or something. Jake was trying to help, though he wasn't in a good shape either. Ene hurried to the other side of Arianna and bent down, urging her to place an arm over her for support.
"Jake, y-you should move to the other side of me for support. You don't look like you're in a good shape, either." Ene paused, and then sighed. "Let's just... yeah, let's just go."
It wasn't like she could do anything- her power was completely useless for such things, and could only be used to force change in people without their consent of what would happen if that one memory that shaped them changed. Ene felt frustrated with it- why couldn't she have a power that helped others instead of one that she couldn't use? Arianna could help calm people and Jake could create some huge wall for defense. Everyone was fine with them when they found out their powers. But her? If people found out her power... Jake's and Jaska's reactions when she told them was the perfect example. Everyone would either not go anywhere near her or want her to use her power on them. She didn't want to be treated like that.
Ene bit her lip as they continued walking, remaining silent and looking at the ground.
- Jaylin and kynan -
The twins both looked at Drake before sighing in unison. He was right- they were jumping to conclusions. Maybe they just needed to calm down or.... something.
Kynan, do you think we should look into this business anymore?
I don't know. I mean, we do need to figure out about this for everyone, but if we meet these people...
AS Kynan replied to Jaylin with his thoughts, he waved a hand at the approximate area of the body that was in a different hallway. Jaylin silently nodded in reply.
I know- but if we don't figure this out, what if those guys that did that continue to do it? We need to find them...
Yeah. How about we don't go searching near the headmaster's place, though? And not do our detective work during a power outage, when anyone can get away with that?
Okay.
The two stood up, both still scared from seeing the bloody body. This being said, they merged together, trying to see if there were any violent thoughts nearby. They didn't sense any when they started walking off, and hoped it would stay that way.
- Niza -
Niza smirked, "Yeah. I have never really been the one to give dumb motivational speeches like that..."
She was silent a few moments when Jackson brought up the power outage. What had caused it? Niza shrugged in response. "It probably happens a lot, judging by how the workers at the cafe and some of the customers reacted. This place is a long ways from an actual power plant, so the school probably has a cheap device that gives power or something, so it's probably what caused it."
Niza paused, remembering how she had "freaked out" at the cafe- she was acting the whole time, of course. She still needed to keep up the act, then- it's the type of person this kid thought she was, after all.
"I must have acted so freaked out at the cafe- I'm sorry. But I was just thinking about how some idiots try to do who-knows-what to people just because they don't think they can get caught with the crime since the lights are out..."

Merry had been kinda out of it for the last few moments, she wasn't sure who was still in the room and who was still talking. But man did she feel good, like really good. Like she could run a mile and life a billion pounds. God she felt good. And now she was also feeling extremely inspired to do something. Anything, she wanted to do stuff. She wanted to make herself feel even better before this feeling went away. It had been such a long time since she felt this way, completely clean of any anxiety or fear or expectations. She could do anything without fear of messing up like she always did. And man it felt good. She was going to make herself proud. For once in her life.
She forced herself to sit up, only now noticing she had been laying out on a bed, her head feeling a bit too heavy for her own good. No problem for Merry though, she had weight powers. With a simple command to herself Merry began to get lighter and lighter, until she was slightly hovering above the bed. She had a blissful smile stretched across her face. She gave an even wider grin to Lily as she slid off the bed, making her way in an almost skipping way to the door.
"Hey Lily Bo billy." Merry said, her words slightly lispy. "I think I'm going to go for a walk or something." Her voice died off as she began to turn the doorknob.

There was quite a bit of sympathy that Adam had for this student. Instead of being outright killed, the guy survived all of this, with permanent damage done to his body. A sub-power of Adam's gift allowed him to see that the boy's ability was to suppress pain. However, regardless of the injuries, survival is a victory in itself. What Seth said had worried him. If it was done so recently, the killer wouldn't have gotten that far. He was unsure whether or not they should search the area for the killer. Adam nodded his head, he spoke, "... I have a few ideas on what the message could mean. This implies that whoever did this has made contact with Dacious, who has something they want... But what would it be to drive them to such depraved acts of violence...?" He pushed his glasses up his nose, "... I do not know who is responsible for this, but I will not stop until I get the needed information out of Dacious, and do all I can to protect the students." Adam said to Seth, as he started walking down a different hallway, he was going to head straight to the Headmaster and raise hell. This is exactly what he feared would happen when he found MacDonald dead in his own room with those two other students. People died and more people are likely to die if Dacious. Now there's more and more fingers pointing towards Dacious... It was clear to Adam now that Dacious isn't telling him much.
The wounded boy was already whisked away by medical teams to the hospital.

"Hmph." Ray makes the sound, tilting his head downwards and smiling lightly. He was kind of glad that Eric wasn't too much of a saint. While Ray does help people (Such as Mina and Kate during Jasmine's little scene), he believes in minding his own business, and in turn, people will (Mostly) mind theres. Personally, he would have just kept walking if he saw someone doing such a senseless act. "I appreciate someone who would stop such stupidity." Regardless, Ray showed a bit of respect to Eric. "Though, I'm more of the guy who'd keep to himself....." He brushed his hand through his hair, "Keeps things easier that way."
Aside from making eye-contact Rush was completely still, like a statue. He was thinking everything over. He definitely saw an ally in Eric, especially because of their similar powers. Maybe it might be worth a chance to add him to the resistance against Dacious. Rush quickly says, "Eric. What is current sentiment in regards to the academy? Especially Headmaster Dacious. Should tell you. Not man he seems. No. Not at all." Depending on his response would determine whether or not he should be an ally. If not, then the pair will leave to do whatever.

"Ah, not too much of a story, eh?" Gabe says with a toothy grin. There wasn't much to talk about clearly, she was just an average gal that got sent to this illustrious academy after coming out about being a Meta. Hehe... 'Coming out' Gabe herself was no different really. Except she comes from a richer family, and was sent here after losing control of her anger just one time too many. Gabe was going to keep this to herself for now. She took another sip of whiskey, only to drink up what was left. Seeing that both herself and Kate's cups are empty, she poured them some more. While she was doing that, she forced "Heh, I would stick to the waitress business too, if I had the good looks that ya' have. I bet ya' get lots and lots of tips, right?" Gabe's eyes were on locked onto Kate's. Constantly watching her body language for any changes - Or anything that would give away that she's not having a good time with Gabe.

Hmph. Gabe leaned over the table, closer to Kate, and gave her a smile. She touched Kate's hands with a gentle touch that seemingly should be alien to a girl like Gabe. "Oh? I guess no one has ever treated ya' right before?" She said, in the most charming, flirtatious tone she could. She then lightly grasped Kate's hands. "Stick with me, and I promise ya' that all of that will change..."
Carmen 'Lily' Santo.
There was little for Lily to further contribute to the current conversation between Valery and Jesse. Especially since Val seemingly ignored her. But whatever. She kept quiet and listened. She did agree that Gabe did disrespect them by elbowing her way into their room and stole their liquor. It was especially blatant to how Gabe treated Jesse. Either way, Val left to go find Gabe to get back his liquor. A quiet "Good luck." was spoken by Lily and directed towards Val. She didn't really approve of Val trying to get back his booze. Nor did it really matter. The lights would be back on any minute now, and there'd be no way that he could sneak around with the lights and security on. Especially since Gabe is probably back at her room by now. But hey, she didn't think there'd be any good done by mulling about it. Val does what he wants to. Gabe's a pretty aggressive person. Lily wouldn't want to tangle with that.
What really made Lily 'active' again in this conversation was Merry. She had gotten up and walked to the door, with clear intention to leave. Which personally was a pretty stupid idea - But it was probably the booze talking. There was no way in hell that Lily was going to let Merry walk around in the dark, drunk as a sailor. Who knows what those boys will do when they see someone like Merry wandering around drunk? "No..." Lily says as she jumps up to her feet and walked over to Merry, and grabbed onto the wrist of her free hand. "You're drunk as hell. I'm not going to let you stumble around in the dark alone with god knows who walking around." Lily turned her head to Jesse, and gave him a worried look, a subtle way of her saying that he should back her up.

Abraham Gene
Ah, good! Nothing but silent obedience from Jake. Or maybe he was too beat up to argue, whatever, but this Titus guy didn't seem so terribly tough anyhow. If he was like the muscle heads back in city, this should be a breeze! His attention turned from Jake, who was crawling away towards Arianna, back to Titus, who was slowly picking himself up and recovering from the blow he was just dealt. Instinctively, Abe dropped into stance and carefully watched the brute get back on his feet. He looked to be unfazed - which was incredible, since Abe's punch packed at least twenty-thousand pounds of pressure per foot! It was evident by this alone that this dude wasn't going down without a fight, and not terribly quickly either. Why he'd ought to just - no. All he needed to do was get the message across. No more f*cking with the girl and her pup.
And yet, the idea of winning was so enticing.
Titus was back on his feet, and seemed ready to put up an actual fight this time, if cracking one's neck was such an indicator. Abe had to admit though: this guy wasn't subtle by any means, but that was hardly necessary when the guy moves alarmingly quick and packs (what Abe assumes) a wallop. His adversary's long arm lashed out at his face. In response, Abraham had planted his feet firmly into the ground brought up his left arm to push away Titus' fist - mere inches away from the side of his head. Even as stone, Abe felt the shock and vibrations reverberating through his arm. It took much of his strength to just veer this guy's fist away! Was this guy on freaking steroids or what? He could've punched Titus' arm away - it basically had the same effect!
Abraham followed through after the block quickly, grabbing Titus' wrist with his blocking hand in a tight grip. Using this anchor, he pulled himself towards Titus and grabbed the base of his arm just under the armpit and heaved with all of his strength, pushing his shoulder against the inside of Titus' arm and the rest of Abe's back to swing him over it. Now, Abe wasn't very great at thinking ahead in fights - it mostly just came to him as he went - he didn't expect Titus to be able to get out of this, especially with how his punch basically tossed all of his weight off his center.
So, were this maneuver to work, Titus should be laying flat on his back against the hard ground. Being as ruthless as he is, Abe would also kick the outside of his elbow (the opposite way that joint is supposed to bend!) and hopefully break his arm in the process. Regardless of the outcome, thank God for taekwondo; he probably wouldn't be able to beat him had this come down to a "who could punch harder" contest! As a natural-born pugilist, Abe didn't necessarily focus on winning, per se, he just aimed to not lose - and there was a deck full of drastic measures up Abe's sleeve that he was willing to use if it came to that.
Jesse Sutor
Cue the sigh of relief, and finally, we're relaxed! Valery was very understanding of the situation - at least a little bit, he was still confused about him and the girls it looked like - and had promptly left to see if he could recover what was left of his alcohol from the booze snatcher Gabe. With that out of the way, he helped Valery close the door behind him and leaned against it before slumping to the floor, at last relieved to have that whole dilemma done and over with. Thank god! He was actually a little afraid of Gabe getting violent. She was the laser girl, yeah? There was no way he could have defending himself from her. Lily might've been able to turn her power off if she wanted to, but even if she had. Gabe still looked physically capable. He doubted she even needed her lasers half the time.
But with one problem gone, there came another to take its place. There was still Merry, who was completely intoxicated from Gabe's visit. Even when she's gone, she's still causing problems! Merry wanted to go for a walk out in the halls - drunk. Drunk and surrounded by psychopaths. The school was filled with psychopaths, trigger happy with their powers. There was a few he could think of at the top of his head, but never gave it enough thought to remember their names.
Lily asserted herself when she suggested to Merry that walking in her condition was a bad idea. She had a point! Especially with someone like Gabe walking around, the girl would chew her up in seconds. Then she looked at him. Huh? What? Him? What did... oh! He received the message, albeit with some confusion at first, and understood what she was trying to say. "Uh, I think she's right Merry." Jesse said, trying to make an effort to assert himself with Merry as Lily did. "The people out there are lunatics, you shouldn't go. Not alone, at least."
Oh, that'd be the one that screwed them over. "Not alone". Then she's going to wail about how they should go with her. They'll say no, she goes anyway, and then him and Lily are forced to follow her drunk ass into trouble. Perfect! Way to go, Jess-ster, you're a brilliant moron.

Merry leaned her head against the door, frustrated, she was extremely angry about Lily and Jesse interrupting her plans. How dare they try and stop her, it's a free country she is allowed to do anything she wanted whenever she wanted. Jesse suggested that Merry not go out alone, as if suggesting Lily and him would come along. But Merry wanted to go off on her own. She wanted to go and train. She turned around, ominously slowly, to face Jesse and Lily. She was struggling to keep her head upright, and now was leaning on the door to keep herself upright. Those traitors! Or maybe it was herself who was acting out of line. Merry wanted to shout at them, or even punch them or something. She was rarely violent, but she was really frustrated.
But her last few silvers of self control and respect for her friends, who must have been trying to keep her safe or something, kept her from acting out. She still didn't see the big deal. What was so dangerous about the school? She was going to give the two of them a piece of her mind, telling them she was more then capable of keeping herself safe. She was strong. She was really strong. But it was like her body knew this was a lie, and she found herself returning back to the bed she had been lying on, rubbing her temples and trying to clear her vision. She kept her mouth shut.

Arianna Madrigal
Things got a little hazy for Arianna after that.
One of her arms was on Jake (presumably) and the other was on Ene (presumably), her tired eyes watching the ground below her as her feet staggered to support what little of her weight wasn't shouldered by the other two. The sounds of Abe and Titus throwing haymakers that could crush pickup trucks and smashing each other through walls were distant and not really important, either.
The Symphony was deafening, in a way that transcended traditional loudness. Her head felt swollen and the normal soothing, comforting sound of the Symphony- like a father holding his little one close, reminding her the monsters in the dark were nothing to be afraid of-was suddenly very harsh. The noise shook down into the bones of her arms and legs, making them feel brittle and all too frail to be supporting the now unimaginable weight of her skull. Her head kept drooping down, but the incoherent mumbling and the fact Arianna was still walking was probably enough to convince Ene and Jake of her consciousness. Well, in the strictest medical terms, she was awake, but "consciousness" was debatable.
"Mmmnnnnn," Arianna muttered, which was a discombobulated attempt to say "Hey, are we there yet?"-however, Arianna's tongue wasn't too keen on the multisyllables at the moment. Arianna slipped for a second, her weight coming down on her legs (which very nearly threatened to give way), but she managed to steady herself on Ene and Jake before falling completely. Strained from the exertion, Arianna clenched her teeth tight, face contorted with the effort. The tinnitus drowned everything out for a moment and Arianna's perceptions started to get a little trippy again.
A weight pressed back up against Arianna, keeping her from falling.
"Huh?" Arianna asked, turning her head. Eyes were staring back at her, cold and entirely disapproving of her weakness, but the girl blinked and the hallucinations (hallucinations isn't the right word: that implies it's not real, and everything Arianna saw or heard or felt was entirely real, just in another time or place) melted away.
I f*cking hate this school.
Felina
The jungle cat stretched out, leaning backwards, arching her back up, and then forward, lying back down. Despite the content look on her face, the lazy cleaning of her gory claws and fur, there was no doubt that Felina never clicked out of "predator" mode. Her ears were still perked up, her muscles taut and eyes occasionally dancing around, cutting through the darkness laughably easy.
She raised an eyebrow when he said "No", not sure what cafeteria food (that was what they had in America, right?) could compare to-not only the superior taste, but the visceral thrill of catching your own food. It was something beyond primal, it was...it was right. It was pitting yourself against another living thing in the ultimate struggle, the only one that really mattered, and coming out on top. You couldn't pull that feeling out of an oven.
"Hm." Felina grunted, allowing Jaska's blatant lie to slide by. Maybe the little one thought it was just as good. He did seem to be conflicted, a little too close to...domestication...for her liking. "South. Mexico. There is a colony of cazadores like me. Heirs of the empire. We live well, keep to ourselves. The Mexicans are happy to leave us alone. Occasionally, we send one of us here." Felina paused, her claws digging into the snow a bit, the fur around her face tightening as her jaw clenched. "Lucky me got picked."

Carmen 'Lily' Santo.
Once again, Lily was relieved.
With some backup from Jesse, Merry quietly lied down on the bed. Whether it was the fact that they were urging her to stay here, or the fact that it seemed like the better choice to stay here. Regardless, it was a great choice on Merry's part to stay put. It means that they don't have to worry about wandering around looking for a drunken Merry (Even though, it would be a pretty quick chase because Lily could detect anyone on this island if they're close enough). Especially at night. Merry was very likely to be unaware of this; but a lot of people here are likely not perfect citizens. People worthy of staying away from, especially at night. Gabe had pissed off Lily quite greatly with her intrusion, and all the further problems she's causing for her group. Fortunately, Gabe's long gone, and very unlikely to return, so Lily was trying to force Gabe out of her head, and focused on her friends. Merry attempt at leaving really made Lily think about what her group will do... Once the power comes back on. "So... What do you guys wanna do once the power comes back on?" She said, leaning back into the chair, "How about we... Uh.... Head to the longue? Something interesting might be there..."
Jaska Din Valos.
Jaska sat down in the snow, onto his behind, knees bent, and arms wrapped around his legs. The snow around him seemingly melted into water, and the grass directly was burned somewhat. He was indeed interested in what she had to say (Even though he was once again confused when Felina said 'cazadores', language barriers and all). Mexico... Jaska heard things about the place (Mostly by Gabe in her usual snide comments) during school - before his powers had manifested, that moment he was taken out of school because of how drastic his changes were - along with other spanish countries. That would mean that Felina is Spanish, or uh, Hispanic? Ugh. His family used so many terms when it came to people of other ethnicities that it was hard to keep track of all of them.
"You're Spanish, then? Like... can you speak Spanish?" Jaska had heard a little bit of Spanish in the past, not enough to know if someone's speaking it without being told, but hell, the boy can count in Spanish and say Hello, Goodbye, and thanks to Gabe, 'B*tch' in Spanish. "What's it like? Are the people there different? Oh!" Jaska managed to figure out that when Felina said, 'cazadores like me' she must clearly have meant super-humans (Or Metas, as he's heard the term so often). "Ooooh? You have like... like, a family of met-as-" Jaska pronounced it very awkwardly, as it isn't a word he used too often "-in Mexico? I have one of those. My brother, my sister, my other brother, my mommy-" Then he cut himself off at the thought of his mother. His curious attitude quickly turned to a saddened mood. Where's mommy?
Jake Vin Valos.
This was his time to shine. Shine as in get these two girls out of here while Abe beats the living f*ck out of this meathead. If Jake was in the right of mind, he would have totally have made Titus chase an illusion or two, or trip him. But that was Abe's fight right now. Jake was using all of his strength to stay up on his feet, and walk ahead. His head peered towards Arianna, and he stared at her for a moment. He was wondering what was wrong with Arianna, she looked all exhausted and she wasn't the one that was thrown at a bloody wall. He wasn't going to complain, that would make him look worse than he really is right now. Jake was in utter pain. That bastard probably cracked several of his bones. But that wasn't important, he's endured worse pains. He needed to get the hell out of here, and find a teacher, or someone, to stop the slugfest between Titus and Abe before it gets anymore out of hand - And more importantly, Titus getting what punishment he deserved for starting all of this in the first place. All of this chaos would surely attract the attention of someone.
The sounds of the brawlers going at it in the distance faded and, just like that, it was gone. It was a sign that they're away from the fight, Jake stopped. He looked around and saw that he was in the 'lobby room' of the dorms. A rectangle-shaped room that stood in the middle of the dorms, and had plenty of sofas and chairs. To the right was the boy's sides, and the opposite was where the girls stay. They came from the right side. The lounge wasn't too far away from here. They would surely be safe from the fight down here. Jake grabbed on to his chest, and groaned quietly, before sucking it up and trying to seem normal, he didn't want to show too much time. He was recovering, but the pain in him was immense. Jake sat down on the nearest sofa. "Are you girls alright?" Jake asked, empathetically, "You should have got out of there. I... would have been fine." He said. There was a bit of disappoint in himself. He just couldn't protect Arianna. Again. Which is something, given his powers, should have been elementary. I should have been better back there. It was just pure luck that Abe showed up in time. God knows what Titus would have done... And I don't want to know.

Seth
(Don't feel like narrating him accompanying the medics, he'll be out of the picture until the blackout is over.)
Eric
Eric put a hand on back of his head considering what Ray was saying. "Yeah, I suppose you're right, but sometimes I just feel morally obligated." If it wasn't to risky. Truth was there were a number of occasions in the past he could have done something to help people in dire need, or stop something horrid that he simply walked on by. Both before and after discovering his power. Bad things stand out more than good. Deep down he wanted to outweigh all the mistakes he'd made with honorable deeds, yet whenever an opportunity to really do something for the better he backed down. Better to do a lot of a little than risk life and limb on a large endeavor. Rush's question caught him a little off guard. "Um, well I'm really not sure. First year here. The facilities are top of the line, or they were until this power outage, and people are nice enough. Still there's snakes in the shadows, this place is far from safe. The headmaster? Haven't seen or heard any of him aside from the opening dinner. A little strange if you ask me. Can't say I'd be surprised if he was hiding something." What the purpose of asking me this? He had a feeling he'd find out shortly.
Kate
Gabe bought her story, and why shouldn't she? Technically she wasn't lying, though she used some half truths. Nobody knew her full story except for Seth and herself. When another round was poured, Kate took it gladly. This time it went down swift and painless like is should. The issusion of warmth inside her grew. This had to be the thousandth time somebody complimented her looks, she was well beyond the point where she'd blush or shy away. Still, it felt good coming from somebody she might actually be interested in, and not some nasty guy like usual. So far so good. She grinned, "like you wouldn't believe. This school is full of suckers." Her jaw clamped shut. "I don't mean you, but the guys... and girls that drool over me. All they're getting is at the cafe." It was obvious that she used her body to her advantage, but she wasn't a sleazebag.
Taking her hands was a little unexpected, though it shouldn't have been. Her mouth opened a little, she looked down, then matched Gabe's gaze. So rough looking, even some burn scars. She coulden't say her touch was soft, but it was exceedingly gentler than what she expected. I hope she's like this normally. Kate's heart raced, she wanted to believe her, but all of this was happening so fast. Though she realized a few shots away and they could be on the bed. Pull yourself together, you're no first timer. Give her what she wants and there's no guarantee she'll come back. On the other hand it could also jump start something amazing. Hopefully. Her expression was clearly conflicted for a moment. Returning to her usual self she replied. "Maybe not. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. At least for a while." What would happen in that while was yet to be determined, but she had a feeling it lied at the bottom of the whiskey bottle.

Trace stared at the body, it had a name Carved into it, the same seemed vaguely familiar. Trace was currently heavily breathing with his hands were grasping his skull. who Did this? Why? Was this not a name but a slur towards metas? Am I next? Trace thought, he was hyperventilating and transforming in sync with his breaths. He noticed a figure or two across the hall its was hard to tell as his eyesight was constantly changing.

Gabe pulled back, taking her hands off of Kate. She got the message that she had intended across. A devious smirk crept up on Gabe's face. It was no surprise that the brainless and horny masses that inhabit this school were all falling into a swoon over Kate. Most of the boys here - actually, anywhere - would start fawning over the first cute girl they see. There were even plenty of brave boys who tried to get with Gabe (She could safely say that it went well for them). Jake was honestly no different in regards to his relationship to Arianna. Hmph. A silence came from. She wished him the best in his relationship, and sent him off. "Ah, you got a horny loser and they'll start shooting steam from their ears the moment they see a girl they think is attractive." She quietly laughed under her breath, "Personally that isn't the real problem this school has... Dis' school is full of annoying twats and morons, if you know what I mean?" She gave Kate a toothy grin, grabbing onto the bottle of whiskey. "Half the people here are either hell-bent on shoving their d*cks into your business, then getting mad when ya' tell 'em to f*ck off, or trying too hard to look like a bad ass or top dog, when everyone knows they're nothing without their magical gift." She spoke about this all in jest. Like how two friends make fun of a weird kid behind his back. Well. Not one-hundred percent. She did have some strong sentiments for the school, but hell, it didn't seem that bad. It took a little bit of getting used to, because there are upsides to being here (Even if they're far and in between).
There Gabe noticed that the bottle of whiskey was no where near empty yet. That's simply preposterous! It should be empty by now. Argh, I'm slipping up. Then again, Gabe forgot that she was sharing with a pretty little guest. She'll have to wait and see who gets boozed up first, and get busy. Getting intimate wasn't out of the question, but she wasn't going to press her on about it. "Oh? I didn't know I just started a drinkin' contest by invitin' ya' up here, eh?" She said it in a joking manner, "Don't get the wrong idea: I didn't invite ya' up in here so I could booze ya' up and start takin' advantage of ya. I ain't that kinda girl.... But, unless you want to..."
While she said that, she poured more whiskey into the shotglass
Adam Leo Blackmore, Leon Maddox Vahan, & Megan Emma Jervious.
It wasn't long before the duo consisting of Leon and Megan arrived at the scene, just as he was getting carted away. Adam was the only one to stay behind, because well, he wasn't exactly needed at the scene. The medics will take it from here. Adam had no choice but to find Dacious and get answers.
"Adam!" Leon said as he ran up to Adam, his closest friend, with Megan next to him. He had one hand on the hilt of his sword, and had a contorted face of concern. Leon's been a teacher for several years, and he's seen some terrible stuff during that time. Murders, accidents, hell, some powers involve nauseating amounts of body horror. But few amounted in terms of pure brutality as this. It was done by a serial killer.
"Leon, what can you get from the boy? He must have some memory of what happened." Adam asked Leon.
Before the boy could get too far away, Leon used the Eye of Providence to look into the guy. Specifically his thoughts and short-term memories. He saw a vague memory. Of being caught of by the Headmaster's daughter, Amimoore, then getting ambushed by four people. The boy's angle wasn't good enough to get a good view of everything. Everything was hazy after that, because getting your eyes cut out tends to make anything hazy. Before it did happen, the kid managed to see a bit of the perpetrator. What seemed to be a bloody living mannequin doll. Leon unsheathed his sword halfway. "Aw, hell," He said under his breath, "Adam we might have a bigger problem. The kid was with Amimoore. He doesn't know what happened to her, but I might have an idea."
Megan put herself into the conversation, "If you're right... Then... bollocks. We're going to have ourselves a serious problem." Serial killers on the island, and they've taken the headmaster's daughter. Hell, this blackout could just be their cover for kidnapping and killing the headmaster's daughter. All swords and grim and evil thoughts filled Megan's head.
"What!?" Adam quickly interjected, his voice boomed over Megan's as she spoke. He jolted in shock and nearly dropped his glasses. "That means we have no time to waste. We have to send out a full alert. Find Amimoore now." Adam floated into the air. "Alert security. Medical teams. Everyone." He pulled out his phone and started hammering in numbers and text messages, all while he moved down the hallway.
"... It'll be hard with this power outage," Megan says, her voice hoarse, "But we have no choice." Megan looked around.
At the corner of her eye, someone who found the body (Trace), was falling apart. What was most interesting was that he was transforming as it all went on. Obviously a shape-shifter. Megan walk over to him and said, "Oh dear... You saw that and got scarred for life didn't you?" Her eyes wandered to the side, "Well... It isn't anything a trip to the therapist won't solve!" She tried to say in her usual cheery tone, but it ended up sounding awkward and forced.
Ray Judah Drager, & Dexter 'Rush' Chertok.
((This is where I half-ass it!))
A glare was sent in the direction of Rush. Ray was once again not so pleased in where things were going. However, he didn't feel arsed to stop him. Eric says no, hopefully that'll be the end of it. If not... Then Ray will have to bounce the guy off the wall.
Rush started talking, "We are... resistance. Yes. Against Dacious. He is not man he seems. Oh no. He is not. Have been investigating him. Have discovered he is falsifying records. Lying about students that. Are likely still here. Have left. In addition to shadier discoveries we've made."

Felina
"Not Spanish. Spanish is Spain." Felina snapped, before showing a rare moment of social awareness and trying to soften her tone a bit. Kid probably didn't realize the different. "Wouldn't even call myself Mexican. They were latecomers. But...yes. My family. There are perhaps sixty or seventy of us, tucked away out of sight. But...hm." Felina looked at Jaska curiously. Her clan was all similar, in terms of their gifts: all like her. Beasts amongst men. But she hadn't noticed any others like Jaska...perhaps their bloodline was different? Hers had been fairly contained. Enough members of their tribe were present to prevent inbreeding, but there wasn't much when it came to marrying into the family. This...heh? The kid was sad now. She wouldn't have ascertained as much from his facial expressions, but his body language and the subtle shift in his pheromones indicated as much. Felina continued licking her paw for a moment, figuring that the boy just needed a little time alone. Felina felt slightly awkward, as she wasn't exactly the best source for emotional support. Brute force and practiced skill were things Felina was comfortable with, familiar with, but figuring out someone's anguish was not. Felina waited for a little while, but Jaska's anxiety seemed to persist. He doesn't want to hunt and he randomly gets sad. I do not understand American children. "So...um...your mother....uh..." Felina trailed off, not really sure what to say or do. "Let's go back to the school." she decided, cutting off a possibly angsty line of conversation for something more practical. Felina rose quietly, stretching forward and back before shaking a bit and getting some of the snow off of her. The big cat wasn't fazed by the cold, having more than enough fur and muscle to keep her insulated and warm (particularly after such a good meal-were she not out and exposed in the open, Felina would've been tempted to curl up and sleep), but she didn't like things sticking to her fur. Made her feel less streamlined. Dirty. She didn't notice it during the hunt or walking around, but if she settled down, Felina needed to get the filth off her.
"Don't fall behind," Felina murmured, walking by Jaska and heading towards the school.
Arianna Madrigal
Arianna was on a couch.
She pressed her face into the couch, reveling in the fact that the couch, unlike the floor, her head, the ceiling, and the noises around her, was steady and not spinning in and out of focus. Jake and Ene's presence near her was on the edge of her awareness-Arianna kept catching bits and pieces of their conversation.
"Mmm alright," Ariana murmured, too fatigued to say too much more. Arianna slumped into the couch, feeling her condition begin to perk up a little bit now that she could truly calm down and relax, the fear of Titus long since gone. Feeling a bit chilly, Arianna curled her legs up to her chest and closed her eyes, taking several deep breaths. Her mental state was somewhat hazy from the use of her power, akin to the not-awake-but-not-asleep purgatory of just waking up. The Symphony was quieting down a bit, and Arianna managed to make herself run through some breathing exercises from her vocal lessons (which were usually nonproductive, as there was very little anyone could teach her in that field). Why was she so tired? Arianna couldn't recall, because her short-term memory seemed a bit fuzzy. There was
Hey, Jake, come down to the Arena, there's something I want to show you
the lights going out, and terrorizing that one girl, and then Titus...what had happened? Was Jake thrown like a rag doll against the wall before or after the lights went out? And when had she gotten on this couch? Jaska turning into that monstrous beast-he must've stopped Titus, out in the snow. How had snow gotten in the hallway?
Wait, her song. Jake. She sang to help Jake. That was why.
"Jake," She muttered, forcing her eyes open and trying to assess if either he or Ene were badly hurt. "Did...did the song work...you got..." she closed her eyes, a sudden pressure closing in on her skull as a dizzying fusillade of sights and sounds and smells and thoughts poured in from the Symphony. Ow. Ow. No. She pressed her head back into the couch, listening for their response.
Someone grabbed her hand. Arianna lazily opened one eye, seeing who it was. Their fingers were cold and strong...it...it didn't feel like Jake at all. She looked around, flinching (as much as her sore-all-over body could) as she saw who it was. Someone kneeling in front of her, seemingly unnoticed by Ene or Jake, holding her hand and pressing a finger against their lips. Before Arianna could gather any more she closed her eyes (the room had started to spin and it was much easier to deal with the darkness of closed eyes spinning rather than the real world around her spinning) and the sensation passed. Sleep. She needed a long rest, and she would be alright.

Trace noticed the group of people that had gathered around his emidiate area, his breathing slowed down and he stopped changing shape. The now regular Trace noticed a woman was talking to him "Umm, thanks, I guess" Trace said in a weak voice, geeze that was akward, his response probably didn't make much sense but with his current state mind he did care. "I guess the therapist must good then".

Titus
Through the air he went, careening towards the ground at high speed. Titus' right side exploded in pain as he struck the ground at full force. That would definitely leave a ten-second bruise. He wrenched himself out of Abe's grip and rolled sideways to his feet. Titus looked up at his stony assassin for a moment to evaluate how to best beat him. If Abe could throw Titus, then he had to do something that would keep him from being thrown. The rock would make Abe slow, meaning that if Titus charged him, Abe would be unable to get out of the way. Titus, now about ten feet from Abe, growled angrily, and charged at Abe with arms spread wide. He launched a tackle with bone-crushing force at his assailant.
Eli and Ariella
"She comes in peace." Eli said "She won't attack us, and if she does I can banish her temporarily." Lucy put her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow at Eli, who returned a wry smirk. Just as she began to open her mouth, Lucy's form began to pixilate as if she were a buffering video. Her voice broke up, as she spoke, causing her speech to become incoherent. A few moments later, she vanished. Eli reached out as if to grab her, but his hand passed through her torso. He threw his head up and sighed loudly. The radio stayed on, and the temperature stayed the same.
"She's gone." he said "She vanished. Damn."
"Well can't you get her back or something?" Ariella groaned "Just blow a kiss in the air and she'll pop up and catch it."
"Are you inferring that this ghost as a crush on me?" Eli asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well she doesn't show up unless you're here. Is she hot?"
"What?" Eli took a few steps back as a smile spread across Ariella's face.
"Oh come on Eli." she replied with a devilish grin "We're all friends here. Is she hot?"
"She slit her own throat, Ariella." Eli replied "Her neck was covered in blood. Though, aside from that, I suppose she could be considered decently attractive."
"Scale one out of ten?"
"I'd rather not answer that question." Ariella laughed, a sign that her head was indeed feeling better. She sat up and took the pillow off of her eyes.
"You are no fun!" Ariella retorted "What do you think, Sage? I'm totally right, aren't I?"

Megan Emma Jervious.

An awkward smile had crept up on Megan's face. She didn't know how to really respond to the boy, but whatever. She grabbed onto Trace's forearm and started pulling him away from the scene. Just to get the boy out of the way. The therapist would be somewhere else. "Now, I am obligated to ask how you are holding up - With seeing a dead guy and all. " Ugh. She wished that the lights would come back on. Things would be so much easier that way.
Sage Lucas Pimm.
A amused smile had crept up on Sage's face as the conversation went on. The ghost girl had disappeared, and Ariella jokingly suggested that he had a crush on her. If Sage couldn't detect supernatural presences, they would totally say that Eli was nothing but a loon that hallucinates. Someone probably thinks that. With the ghost gal gone, there was not much more to talk about. Since their guests ignored their suggestion to ask around about the girl. They would leave if walking around during a blackout wasn't a bad idea. They thought about whether or not they should just take their chances and wander around the dorms for something interesting, or someone who could use help. Uh, still didn't seem like a good idea. Sage found a conversation when they remembered a few things about Eli's power that they discussed. "So, Eli..." Sage asked, "Um, can I see a bit more about this Angelic Aura you speak of?"
Jake Vin Valos.
Arianna spoke to Jake, he knew that Arianna was heavily strained from all of this just from the way she spoke and moved. It didn't take him much to figure out that Arianna must have been singing to help Jake during the little incident, he didn't notice that she was doing anything because he was scared out of his wits. He did, however, notice that the injuries weren't as extensive as they should have been. Another thing he was truly thankful for. He still ached, but he knew that it could have been worse. "Yeah... Whatever you did, it helped." He said to her, his tone was optimistic, and very thankful. Though, he didn't know whether or not Arianna was even listening. She was so exhausted that she was fading in and out of consciousness, probably about to head on to sleep. Similar to what happened after Jaska transformed and she sung to stop him from murdering everyone. C'mon, Ari, stay up, we need to go. He grabbed onto Arianna's shoulders, and started lightly shaking her in an attempt to keep her awake. Ugh. There'd be no point in staying here with the lights out, especially if Titus catches up and decides he wants to finish the job. The most logical place to go (After getting the hell away from there) would be the Hospital, both of them could use some medical attention. On top of that, it'd be pretty safe. He knew that a hospital would have a backup generator or two. He grabbed, Arianna's arm, and tried to pull her to her feet, before walking out the door of the dorms. "Ene," He started off, turning his head to her, "You think you can help us get to the hospital?" Jake asked her, because she was the best bet they had to get to the hospital. Both Jake and Arianna were too tired.
Jaska Din Valos.
Jaska would rather head back to the school than discuss his mother. Because he'd end up reliving something that he would rather keep out of his head. Only having optimistic thoughts is what Jake told him was necessary. When Felina walked by, he followed, taking short steps behind her. Theoretically it would be very hard for him to 'fall behind' unless he wanted to. Because he's far faster than he appears, and his senses are acute enough that he can follow anyone from a distance and keep track of them. Especially if he's already gotten someone's scent, which he's already gotten from Felina. Keeping those thoughts to himself, he kept a distance from Felina, ten steps behind her. As it's already been covered, he won't lose sight of her. He kept his eyes, and other senses, open and attentive as ever. As the two walked through the doors of the academy, leaving the forest and heading back into campus.
The first thing that he noticed was that there were people nearby. "Jake...?" Jaska spoke to himself. He smelled his older brother, and heard some chatter. There were two other familiar scents (Arianna and Ene) along with the familiar scent of blood. The blood always excited Jaska, and made it difficult for him to keep his instincts and other natural urges in check. But, there was a need to go over to them, they sounded injured, wounded. He did care for all three of them outwardly. Jaska turned his attention to them, and away from Felina and dropped his weight to his legs, going down slightly. Before he used all of his leg strength to spring up into the air towards them. Flapping his wings to give himself a bit of boost so he didn't hurt himself on impact with the ground.
Jaska Din, & Jake Vin Valos.
At the corner of his eye, Jake saw a shadowy figure soaring through the sky towards them. Oh f*ck me, what now? He wasn't in the bestest of all shapes right now, so he figured that he could conjure a simple enough illusion. Whoever it was, it touched down on the snow near them, wings temporarily going limp. "Jaska?" He quickly knew that it wouldn't be necessary since it was, thankfully, a friendly sight. He wondered where the boy had run off to, but he was thankful that he wasn't injured, or changed. The slight blood on his claws indicated that he had killed something.
Jaska landed on the snow perfectly, thankfully he managed to get his landings down from all the flying he's done. The snow helped soften the fall a bit. He was on his knee. It took him a moment to collect himself, before he stood up and folded his wings. The predator looked at Jake, and knew something was wrong right off the bat. The bruises, tears in his clothes, the blood. There was a bit of fear and excitement growing inside the boy, along with worry. "What happened?! Are you okay?!" He yipped then he got closer to Jake, and examined his brother.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." That was a half-lie. He's in pain right now, and probably needs a hospital visit or two. He wasn't going to tell him what happened right now. "Where have you been?" He asked.
"Oh, um..." That was when he realized that he had broken the rule of staying near Gabe or Jake at all times. "I was with my new friend, Felina..." He hung his head in shame, and pointed at her exact location. He didn't need to look to know where she is.
That was when Jake looked, just out of curiosity. Then he raised an eyebrow when he laid eyes on her. She's a giant f*cking cat. If Jake wasn't in pain, he would totally be a smartass and made an illusion of a ball of yarn and throw it at her.

((Sorry about the shorter than usual post)) The woman had taken Trace by the arm and moved him a distance from the body and asked if he was alright. "I haven't gone into shock but I feel like I survived an air strike only to be find out an assassin is after my head" Trace said.

Jackson "We'll it's a pretty normal reaction here you know with the probability if you people here being quite able to kill us". Jackson smiled to himself it was nice to have someone actually hold a conversation with someone the problem was that he had little to no experience with talking to really anyone."so...um want to see me shapeshift?" He brought up his left hand and concentrated his middle, ring and pointer finger joined while his thumb and forefinger grew chunkier and rounder pads grew on his palm and fingertips and of all things blue hair sprouted all over his hand. "There done" he had transformed his hand into a cartoonish blue rabbit hand. He flexed his new digits to show that he could control his hand. "I can also mimic like this" as he said like this his voice sounded exactly like Niza's.
Anthony He was again wandering when a smell assaulted his senses blood. He entered the scene there was blood heavily caked and smeared on the floor "what happened" it was really more of a whisper than a question he wanted so desperately to just fade out and fall unconscious but for the first time he couldn't "I have to get out of here" In his life Anthony had seen quite a few deaths the trapeze artist that jumped to late, the clown crushed by a spooked elephant, He did not like blood or injuries he hoisted himself up on the wall and started to edge his way out he didn't want to know what happens he just wanted to get out of this horrific scene so he started to climb back to where he though his room was.

Niza watched with great interest as Jackson's hand changed and shapeshifted to a blue rabbit. "So it isn't an ability limited to only people and you can do either a small part of your body or all of it when using your power? My, I'm jealous," Niza smirked a bit, partially thinking to herself. This boy's power was very interesting, indeed.
And then Jackson imitated her own voice. This waseven more of a surprise. Niza's smirk actually turned into a grin. "Now, hun, that part of your power is only useful if you can get the accent of the person down and their normal dialect." She paused before making a statement that poked fun at herself.
"Basically you need to add 'Hun' somewhere in there."
- Ene -
Ene was helping bring Arianna- and also Jake, considering his condition- to the hospital, deep in thought. Both Jake and Arianna had done so much in the fight- Jake fought, of course, an Arianna used her power to help, as well. Ene had just stood at the sidelines in terror. All because she didn't have a good power. She didn't consider it good, at least- others might enjoy having the power, but she didn't. She didn't like the idea of changing someone's memories and thus indirectly changing someone's past, but only in that person'sviewpoint. And those who would know her power, should she ever reveal it... Jake's and Jaska's reactions were the two main ones to be expected. People would either treat her like she had some incurrable, contagious disease and stay away or want her to use her power. Niza's unusual reaction was probably a one out of one-hundred chance.
Ene's train of thought was broken Jaska landed in front of them, making her jump a bit. She mostly listened to Jaska and Jake talk until Jaska pointe out his new friend. She looked at where the young meta pointed to see a cat animal meta. Well, it's good to see Jaska was making friends, at least. She use her one free hand to wave politely at Felina.

Kate
Whew, Kate was relieved that Gabe not only understood correctly, but agreed with her. "That sums it up pretty good." She smiled along with her host. More people that she could count were enthralled by her each day. Generally the same people, but only a few stood out on her mind. What she left out to Gabe is that she liked the attention on some level. Beyond the fact that it line her pockets with more tip money. What she said next was also true, except it hit a soft point. The part about people being nothing without their power. The scope of her did to change her wasn't very drastic in extent, enough for her to feel down though. Nonetheless, she tried to focus on all the wannabes so she could hide her insecurities. "Yeah, there's a trio of guys that have been doing well in the arena and think they're all that. The only one I know is Vallery, the other two are new. Haven't actually seen any of their matches, don't think it's worth my while." That and I was in detention for a week... I wonder if she know's about that. Surely she heard about the incident, maybe not who exactly who was involved.
"Maybe you did, it's nice to get crazy everyone once and a while." What was really crazy is suggesting such a thing to a rough and tumble type. Granted that Gabe was already boozed up, Kate shouldn't count on that to bridge the gap between their tolerance and body size. Even more so was the fact that she already got in big trouble. Too late now. She must have sensed some of her unease, and what she said did make her feel better. The question was whether or not to take her up on the open offer. "Well..." Kate drug out her response to try and make her drinking partner anxious. "I'm open to get to know you a little better. I couldn't help but notice that you have a few up on me." She grinned and blinked her long lashes. A combination of mischievous and flirtatious. "Lets see what happens after a couple more rounds. In the meantime I wouldn't mind hearing a little about yourself." The question was deliberately broad so Gabe could say what she was comfortable with. Kate was shooting for a bit of history, personal tastes, something along those lines, however anything would do.
Eric
"If that's an invitation, count me in." Seemed right up his alley and a surefire way to make these two not just friends, but allies. He wasn't sure what Ray could do, but he didn't want Rush against him. "I'm sure you can get my cell number if you haven't already. Lets arrange for a secure meeting, all manner of people could be listening in with the security down." It seemed logical that a technopath would be at an advantage when everything was operational, whereas most of the baddies could have a heyday right now. Probably don't want their plans to get into the wrong hands. "I was on the way back to my room, talk to you guys later."
(Just to get their exchange over with and put Eric is a good position whre I don't have to post until the blackout is over. Next post I'll do the same with Vespera and Cassandra.)
