Safina looked at the Deathcapp, at first confused, "Steelio?" Wait, it wasn't Steelio. Much too old. What was she thinking? She wasn't sure. It was then she felt it- the deathcapp's presence in her mind. Was it really trying to take over? "Stop! We did nothing!" She tried screaming, her legs shaking in attempt to move. Why couldn't she move? Safina's willpower was strong, but apparently it couldn't help her in this. She took a few steps forward before stopping, unable to move. She wanted to move... just let her move! These deathcapps.... why were those creatures after them anywys? Obviously they did nothing wrong, right? They had to be innocent. Then again no one remembers much of their memories, so was everyone really not-so-innocent? Safina pushed the thought away. No, everyone was too nice to have ever done something horrible. Just focus on trying to keep this deathcapp from taking control. He had already done it, though.....

Helios continued toward the group. As he got closer, he saw Safina, only she didn't seem to be running away. In fact she almost seemed unable to run, as if the deathcapp near her had rendered her immobile with some type of magic. Helios already didn't like the deathcapps, and the fact that one was attacking one of his companions didn't help its case at all. While it was distracted with Safina, he conjured a fiery hand that flew out from his outstretched right hand, and attempted to grab the deathcapp around the throat.

Helios's fiery hand gripped the young Deathcapp's neck. The boy felt the burn of the flaming hand, but it didn't hurt him. He had modified his nerves to not feel pain. Instead of feeling pain, he feels a very strong sense of tingling; like a million little bugs crawling in that one spot where he is being hurt. He spoke a dark voice, of a demented child, with the little breath he was able to use, "I can tell your TQ is low; I can feel it on your hand wrapped around my neck." The Deathcapp reached out his hand, and began to work his way into Helios's nervous system, sending electric pulses through his nerves. The pulses throbbed and sent messages to Helios's brain, attempting to make Helios let go. He was very powerful with his way of nerve control.

Helios struggled, trying to resist, and failing. Soon the fiery hand was extinguished. Helios struggled forward, trying to reach the deathcapp, trying to get within range to hit him or something. Each step took a titanic amount of willpower.

On her way Ilene saw Helios conjure a hand of flame and grasped the boy. To her surprise the child simply turned towards him, laughed and it was extinguished. Still Helios managed to trudge onward in an effort to reach the boy. It was clear that he and Safina were in trouble, but she wasn't on her way to help. Ilene tried with all her might to resist the urge drawing her to Helios. She managed to throw off her stride just enough that she tripped. She skidded painfully across the forest floor and lay still, but just for a moment. She quickly got up on all fours and crawled like a beast stalking it's prey. By now Ilene was roughly 30 feet away.

Safina wanted to run. She tried and tried but just couldn't. It was then Helios tried to save her, his hand aflame. For once since she's woken up in this worl fire didn't seem so bad, saving her and everything. The flames didn't work, though, and the deathcapp kept her frozen, still. She had to do something. She couldn't fight... maybe try to get some information out of it before either the deathcapp or someone good died. She struggled to form words, still under the deathcapp's control. "Why.....fighting?" she managed to choke out the two words. She had a feeling the deathcapp wouldn't answer, though.

The young Deathcapp frowned when he heard Safina. He turned his head, "Fighting is my only option in the Deathcapp society. I must work for them or they will murder me." He turned back to Helios, still talking to Safina. "As much as I despise working for them, they keep me alive. They provide me with reasonable food supplies." He began to talk to Helios, "Now then," he said slowly pulling his arm closer to his body. He snapped his fingers. With that snap, a powerful urge came upon Helios, the urge to harm himself, with full force punches.

The Deathcapp with the staff got her legs torn up in Gweneth's jaws. Her skin was like paper, and ripped easily. The two orbs soared over to Faez. They attempted to stick to him, doing who know's what once stuck.

Briana ran through the forest, panicked. She tripped, and hurt her leg, stumping her movement. Behind her was the dreaded doctor, slowly stomping towards her. "How about a syringe into jour spinal cord, swine!?" He unzipped his puss covered arm and took a needle out of his flesh pouch. The syringe was filled with some sort of serum. He grabbed her by the hair and stabbed with unforgiving force, right into the back of her neck. The needle went in so deep, it almost came out of the other side of Bri's neck, though it didn't puncture anything vital. The doctor injected the liquid while laughing maniacally. Briana screamed, as she felt the trickle of the serum flowing into her bloodstream.

Helios tried to resist, but he started to raise his firsts and pummel his chest full force. He flexed to lessen the blows, but it still didn't feel the best. "Help.....me..." he said with a tremendous amount of effort to Safina. He then glared at the deathcapp, conveying the message that he would beat the boy till he dropped with fists of fire when he got control back. He looked back at Safina "Safina...." he then fell silent, letting his legs collapse as he tried to hold his fists against the ground with his weight.

Safina let out a scream, "No!" as Helios began hurting himself. She had to move- had to. She managed to take a few shaky stepps towards Helios, before being unable to walk again. She looked back at the deathcapp, pleading for him to stop. The way his mind controlled them may mean that his powers are based on concentration. Maybe if she were to distract him to be able to have the deathcapp take just enough power off of Helios? Safina decided to try to try the crazy idea.

"Look like... Steelio..." she figured the deathcapp wouldn't know what she was talking about but Safina wanted to get the statement out there just to be able to have the thought out of her mind. Safina continued talking with great effort, "Why don't... run from them?" she was asking about why the deathcapp didn't just run from the deathcapps he hated so much. Safina looked at Helios again. She had to think of a way to save him. If all else failed... the deathcapp wasn't hurting her, so she could try and bargain a life for a life- let Helios go and kill her. Not like she could help with fighting, anyways.

It was clear to Ilene that nothing was going to stop her from getting what she desired. The main problem is that she didn't know exactly what that was. Then it all connected. Her vision of blood, Briana had the stuff on her hands and in her hair, and now Helios was bleeding from a bullet wound.

Her body crawled forward, eyes fixated on the injury. If I don't do something quick this isn't going to end well. Ilene did the only thing she could think of. She willed her body to drink from the blood he already spilled. Whatever was controlling her body liked the idea and complied. She cringed as her tongue slid from her mouth and her face pressed close to the ground. The moment she tasted iron she felt rejuvenated. Ilene proceeded to lap up as much as she could, completely oblivious of her allies and their foe.

The young Deathcapp looked at Safina with a tense expression, "Steelio...?" He let go of his control on her, letting her talk, "How do you know Steelio?" He slowly walked towards her. He seemed a bit scared now.

The doctor continuously stabbed Bri to the point where her neck was chunky with flesh, tendons and blood. Her screams gurgled with the blood in her throat. She choked on the meat in her neck. The doctor continued to hysterically laugh in a sadistic manner, as blood spewed out from the back of her neck. Coughing up blood, she slowly died. The doctor put a hand on her shoulder, and another on her chin, pulling the neck apart. Stringy tendons splattered everywhere.

The orbs continued to swerve around the trees, following Faez. The other Deathcapp prepared herself with a fighting stance. When Gwyneth approached her, she shouted and threw her spiked fist at Gwyneth.

Raik whined quietly, trying to block out the screams. He made a point of not looking behind him as he ran. He could see where Kairn was just ahead of him, and followed closely. He worried about Faez, and everyone else of course, but he didn't have time to help them. After a moment he risked a glance over his shoulder.

And saw nothing, because he had tripped over a root. He scrambled up, startled. He could see Kairn slowing down to go back for him...

A tall Deathcapp stumbled in front of Raik. He had a sadistic bloody smile with small chunks of intestines in his teeth, probably from eating one of his victims. His eyelid twitched, as he swiftly grabbed a knife in his pocket, "You remind me of my dog, little wolfy, it's a shame I had to eat him! Gahahaha!!" He flicked his wrist around, doing tricks with the giant dagger. He laughed and sauntered towards Raik, knife in hand, ready to stab, slash and cut.

The orbs lost track of Faez, and instead began heading towards Gwyneth. They flew a little bit faster with every passing second.

Kairn skidded to a stop and spun around to face Raik, a look of fury growing on his face. He was worried, though. At the speed he was running back, he might not make it before

No.
He wasn't going to let that happen. Nobody was going to hurt his brother.

Raik was looking at him from behind his attacker, but he was still off balance, no help there.
Their eyes met.

There was a bang, and a flash of light. Kairn felt the magic run through him, and for a moment he seemed closer to Raik. The shockwave coalesced exactly in between the two wolves, right on top of the deathcapp. It sent him flying, flattened the grass in the area, and even broke the branches on a couple nearby trees. But Raik and Kairn were untouched. The force parted around them, and the only things that touched them were a few fallen leaves.

Kairn froze, staring in shock at the deathcapp for a moment. He knew Raik would be shocked for a good deal longer than him, and now was no time to think. He shook his head violently and walked towards the deathcapp, snarling and trying to look as if he had planned whatever it was that just happened.

The Deathcapp slowly got up, still smiling, "I'm glad you two made this so much fun!" He reached around for his knife, swiping it up. "How's about a nice game of EATING DINNER!?" He tossed it up, caught it by the blade in such a way not to hurt himself, then continued to flick it at Raik with a great force. Despite his slim figure, this Deathcapp was more physically prepared than most of the others.

Raik jumped back, snapped out of his shock by the incoming blade, and yelped. He sidestepped the deathcapp and lunged forward, taking advantage of his enemy's extended position and therefore lack of guard. He felt like this was something he'd been doing for a long time, facts and strategies drilled into his head, but the feeling passes as quickly as it had come. He jumped forward at the deathcapp's side, aiming to bite onto his exposed arm.

As the young deathcapp's attention focused onto Safina, Helios gathered his energy and tried to spring towards the deathcapp while his back was turned. I swear when I get my hands on that kid..he thought, as he did this, he conjured his fire again, this time planning to incinerate the boy's head.

"Yeah.... he was scared of you guys and took off running.... How do you know him?" Safina saw Helios get up and was now trying to keep the deathcapp distracted, and it was working so far. She was glad Helios was okay but hid her happiness to keep the deathcapp from knowing.

Ilene finished lapping the last blood puddle. It was all she could find, save what had dried or was still dripping. She felt a measure of control return to her and she seized the opportunity. First she wiped off her mouth and stood up. Then she moved like a blur, placing herself directly behind the Deathcapp. Whoa I feel strong. She flicked her fingers, her nails lengthened, quickly morphing into claws that shot out like switch blades. Time to see what I can do.

The Deathcapp didn't move. He sensed the immensely low TQ everywhere, behind him, in front of him, and in other places in the forest. He simply sent an enormous throb into the girl behind him, it pulsed in her nerves and attempted to keep her from attacking. It caused her entire body to stiffen. She could try to resist, but that most likely wouldn't work. The Deathcapp also did the same to Helios, leaving him stiffened and practically immobile. He left Safina with complete control of herself. He looked around at the others easily focusing on them as well as Safina, "Please let me talk." He turned back to Safina, "Steellio was the first sacrifice that was pardoned from his execution, as well as the first Deathcapp to become a Destroyer. Along with that..." The Deathcapp stared blankly into Safina's eyes, "He is my brother. Once they decided to execute him, I despised being a Deathcapp." He teared up in his eyes, "I waited for him to die as a Destroyer, I waited for him to spawn back in the Secondian realm for four years." His tears were not tears of sorrow, "And he's finally here?" He smiled solemnly.
