Shallno, on the other hand, has been rather missing since the Dark Siege. Not that he died, that's impossible.

Well, he has made a few. But they all have a specific reason that he made them, and would pretty much never be on the surface. So no, that wouldn't exactly work.

Not really, no. They run on a particular power source that pretty much only Delkyat has even heard of.

Well, those exist, but they're mostly works in progress, and expensive. They're the same kind of magic as Kader's 'fridge', which means eventually the power crystal runs out of magic, and someone has to replace or recharge it.
