Physical Appearance: (Jackson's real form is to some degree frightening his skin is semi translucent and pale white. veins can clearly be seen all over his body) His hands are heavily webbed together they look like gloves his feet feet are the same way he has small stub of a nose and a small slit of a mouth filled with rounded teeth he has two completely circular eyes with large pupils and large green iris's he has two holes for ears they are located on either side of his skull.
However his disguise is his appearance to the public he resembles a Caucasian youth with a slightly rounded face average weight for his age, green eyes, white square teeth, brown hair, (slightly messed) and he looks very average like a person you would overlook in a crowd which is exactly why he chooses the form. )
Attire: normally he wears very dull colors grey,brown,tan to stay out of the public eye.


Personality


Outward & Innate Personality: (Outward very shy doesn't like conflict scared of being the center of attention. Not very good with starting up a conversation and when he talks he usually mumbles.He often makes excuse that he has somewhere to go and can't talk now whenever someone starts up a conversation with him.He doesn't trust many people. The fact that he has had little to no social contact from being inside the apartment for most of his life makes him incredibly socially awkward.
He has the assumption that if anyone found out what he really looked like they would reject/fear him.
Hobbies/Interests: When he is alone he will often read long fiction stories basically about anything he is and avid bookworm and will often spend long hours of his free time finishing reading a book.
Skills/Talents: he is a great swimmer due to his webbed appendages though he rarely swims in public .

History/Bio: Jackson was born to a family of Americans named John and Lilia Newark. when he was born his parents were horrified by the way he looked.They sent him to several plastic surgeons to make him look normal but after every operation his flesh grew back to its natural shape. this was the beginning of his powers he didn't really have much control over it usually he could only change a part of him an eye,his hand,his nose but he couldn't change all of himself.

Then one day his parents up and  left him at a bustop and never came back he was two years old. a wandering couple James and Joan Natch  on their way to North Carolina happened to see him toddling around crying.At first they two were horrified at his experience but they realized that even if he was different he was still a human.They took him in it seemed like the right thing to do at the time but on their way to the police station he fell asleep on Joan's lap and the couple had burst into tears they had always wanted kids but they were sterile.They figured no good could come of bringing him to the police they would just ship him off to some lab.

They decided to adopt him and they named him Jackson.he grew up in NC in a small two bedroom apartment he was never allowed outside and he was home schooled. His abilities started to show at around age ten he started to copy his mom and dad and soon with shocking cleary he could manipulate his cells to look exactly like them. As time progressed Jack began to get lonely he never got to play with kids or anyone for that matter. He was fifteen  March 22,2018 one day he was looking out the window and saw some kids playing basketball so he snuck out and shifted his form so he looked like them. he laughed and for the first time ever he wasn't alone that was until the basketball hit his head and he lost focus.....he shifted back into his true form all of the kids were horrified and ran away The Natch's realizing that their son was outside brought him in and locked the doors.

Then the policed arrived and busted down the door and handcuffed Jackson's parents then upon seeing him got scared and attempted to shoot him but John jumped in the way getting shot and bleeding out. Joan in shock collapsed on the floor in tears the policeman rose to try to comfort her. But then she went crazy and grief and bit him on the throat she was tased and was knocked out. While all this happened Jack wept and tried to wake his father up refusing to believe that he was dead he and his mother were brought to the station.His mother and was put in criminal arrest for harming a police man she was sentences to 10 years of prison.Jackson was then declared ward of the state.He was put into governmental custody for some time until present day where it was decided by the government that he would be sent of to the academy.

Power Class: (Biological
Power: He is a shape shifter he is able to change the color and form of his cellular make up to look like nearly anyone .
He can also mimic voices by altering his voice box he cannot copy their powers or their mannerisms he can only copy how their outward appearance is. he does however have one ability over most shape shifters he can rapidly create cells to expand his form(lengthen his spine,grow longer fingers, make a more distinct facial features etc.)
this puts him slighty above shape shifters who have to follow the mass and size rule
he has a slightly better healing factor than humans cuts and bruises usually a few hours before fading away however major injuries such as stab wounds,gunshots,and broken bones still take a few weeks to heal.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: he has to focus to this ability for it to last he can only keep in check for a few hours at  time and hen he will shift back into his regular form so what he often does when he knows he time is approaching is make up some excuse to leave and change back somewhere private. Where he must rest for and upwards of a few hours (depending on how long he was shifted)
his ability to make extra cells often wears out his body to a point of exhaustion and if he were to try a really complex form he would be in danger of ashing
Other: when he is distraught or bored he will often take out his rubix cube and try to solve it.It helps him calm down and gives challenge to his mind.

Alright, a few things

First and more importantly, another character has a very similar power to Jackson [Megan].

Two, his back story confuses me a little bit. Powers don't usually manifests until around ten years old. They don't manifest at birth.

Also, what's with putting brackets around every paragraph?

Mina is asleep and unless Mel can see ghosts, demons, or otherworldly beings as her power, she wouldn't be able to know Mina's spirit form is anywhere around. Even if she could sense other life forms, life is technically considered a living being with a heart beat so Mina's physical form is what would be sensed.  Just saying.

And even with a keen sense of observation such a thing couldn't be realized without prior knowledge or the power to see ghosts, demons, et cetera. You would be able to infer that Mina's power has something to do with sleep, of course, but it could be anything. She could dream walk and control dreams. She could be able to make those around her tired. She could even possess unusual super strength when sleepwalking even. She could have some sickness that easily drains her energy.

I might be wrong though. I'm not the best at this stuff. Sorry

Jackson's mother wouldn't randomly degnerate into insanity, not medical insanity anyways. I'm not a psychologist but I don't think a single traumatic event can make you legally insane. In need of counseling or a victim of PTSD, yes, but not "needs to be in an asylum" insane.

If his parents had him locked in a room his whole life, he would have some very major social difficulties.

Also I think Jake and Abe trying to socially out-maneuver each other is probably the most realistic part of the RP so far, hahaha.

Nuclear bomb...

Well this IC reading sesh will be quite the adventure. Now that Emma's posted, expect something out of me by the end of the day. Sorry I haven't been posting guys. I've been pretty busy and I'm seriously overloading myself with roleplays. Don't worry though; I won't be quitting anytime soon. I'm not going to be the murderer of another rp.

What the ultimate Hell Emma?

Yeah the nuclear bomb in the middle of a lab kinda has me wondering too. I'm not a nuclear engineer, or at least that's what my non-disclosure agreement forces me to say, but I don't think those can be constructed quickly/without anyone noticing, especially in a school full of children

(1: The nuclear bomb wasn't pulled out of nowhere and is more than an OP prop. Have you heard of any of these nuclear mishaps? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_military_nuclear_accidents read through that list and I'm pretty sure you can guess where I'm going with this.

(2: This will be the one and only unannounced occurrence of a nuclear warhead.

(3: The lab, as is possible with Mels power, is more or less in a pocket 'universe' or drawing. It's literally an illustration, so if she were to have drawn the warhead somewhere within the picture then animated it, it would be constructed instantly and without anyone noticing. And yeah, the bipolar personality thing that happens after she animates something complex, I'll get to that in the next few posts as it's not always instantaneous.

(4: Mel doesn't know what the discussion is even about, let alone whether or not its classified. She was just being overly dramatic. 'Eaves droppers' was referring to Mina's sleeping form and the waiter, Kate, who while not seated at the booth, is within the general vicinity. Both of whom more than one character is visibly annoyed with, and do not look to be the kind of people Jasmine would have associated herself with, Kate, because she's a attention CENSORED and Mina because she falls asleep in class and is currently out cold, NOT at all prepared for a 'business meeting.' unlike Rush and Ray who are the kinds of people Jasmine would associate herself with and do look to be fairly keyed up, as is common place at confidential meetings.

Decided to try and get the teachers into the mix. Anyone can try to interact with Adam, Leon or Megan. And I'm probably going to shift Lily into the sidelines for this act since I don't know what to do with her.

Dude it's not that uncommon. I did it when I met maddie and a lot of my friends kiss the hands of girls they meet. Hell, in france people kiss each other on the cheeks to say hell (yes I'm aware that is a very informal greeting between good friends, but you get the point). Maybe Baltimore has its own culture or something, but that's considered polite and gentlemanly around these parts.

In Spain, people greet each other by kissing both of each other's cheeks. Of course, they don't actually kiss each other. The mere sides of their lips probably go no more than just touching their cheeks.

Point being that people greet each other differently in different cultures. I've never heard of Scotland doing that, as it's usually more a prominent occurrence in central Europe. I also have a friend who lives in Maryland, so I can ask them directly if that's an actual thing that happens there or if your group of peers are weird and disconnected.

Idk, but people kiss girls on the hand a lot, at least they do where I'm from.
