Merry had been excited when Lily suggested they all worked together, it seemed like a solid plan. However they did bring up an odd point, none of them knew the others powers. That was until Lily mentioned a bit about her power. Merry hadn't expected such a cool power to come out of her friend, maybe she was expecting something more like mind reading. Lily seemed like such a composed person, like she knew everything about everyone. But hey power control stuff was pretty cool too. Merry quickly picked up on Lily's hint about helping Jesse last night, during that weird pool game. If Lily could control others powers then what must have happened was that someones powers went out of control and Lily stopped them. Or maybe Merry was completely off the mark. She decided not to press the matter too hard, not wanting to embarrass Jesse. If they were going to be a team they were going to need to know each other better, so hopefully they would figure out each others powers soon.
As the group of students began to move Merry walked alongside Lily and Jesse, ready to keep near her allies in whatever challenge was ahead. As the teachers began to explain what was going on Merry became nervous, aim was never her strong point. She watched as the other students leapt to action, all beginning to display their powers in one way or another. Merry quickly glanced around at the supplies, finding what she was hoping to find. A small bag of glass marbles. She poured them out into her open palm, waiting a moment before they began to hover above it. She found it hard to concentrate on controlling the marbles with all this action going on around her.

Ene -
Ene moved between students until she was standing next to Jake. She turned to him and smiled, "Hey," before turning to look at the instructors as they started the "warm-up." Ene couldn't see why they would call it that- target practice for her was just not something she could do. Her power had nothing to do with that. So, of course, when a plastic ball came hurtling towards her Ene squealed and ducked. It wasn't going to hurt her, bu she still didn't want to get hit. She looked around for a moment, side-stepping to dodge another plastic ball. "How is this helpful?" She asked no one in particular- it was more of a rhetorical question.
Ene sighed, catching another ball and playing with it- tossing it up in the air and ctchig it again before throwing it at a dummy, hitting it right in the head. It did nothing, of course, but it helped her let out her frustration. She sighed. It certainly did make her feel better.
- Jaylin and Kynan -
The twins merged together as soon as they were lead to the room and target practice started. They ha a reason for this, however. On the back of Kynan's head, Jaylin's eyes were visible- tellind him whenever a ball was about to come from the back. The process didn't take much energy, as merging came naturally to them. It was telepathy that took energy, and they currently weren't doing that.
Kynan! Ball coming straight towards the back of your head!
Kynan ducked as he stood up, he dodge right from another ball.
Now jump!
Kynan jumped. Nothing passed by.
I thought you told me to jump.
I did. I was just seeing if you were paying attention-haha.
...okay?
Yep!
Kynan laughed as he kicked a ball that was coming towards him. "This is easy."
- Len and Bre -
Bre grinned as they walked into the room. "This is always fun," she smiled. When the program started, Bre didn't even try to dodge. She just let the flying objects hit her- they didn't do any harm, anyways. She looked at Len. "See? It's like standing in a ball out only it is a bit more fun."
Len didn't see how it was like a ball pit in any way except for the flying plastic items- there weren't many of them, though he sighed, taking and picking up a plastic ball, looking at Bre with an impish grin appearing on his face before throwing the ball at her.
She laughed and stepped to the side. "I'm more athletic- you forget. And I'm not a target" she picked up a plastic ball and threw it at a dummy. "That, my friend, is a target."
"I know that," Len said, rolling his eyes up into his head before smiling.
((Sorry- I gotta study so short post))

Dexter 'Rush' Chertok, & Ray Judah Drager.

"Wanna have some fun?" she said nonchalantly "There's a panel in the wall on the right side of the octagon that leads to the turret controls. Maybe we could...vamp this exercise up a bit." Hopefully he'd take the bait and help her; she was almost certain of it. Then maybe she could have some fun.
At the moment, Rush was a bit distracted by the technology here. His mind was filled with so much information on this technology and how it worked. It was over-whelming to say the least, knowing all this information. Thus he was distracted by it for a few moments, as he was caught up in all the ways he could re-purpose it all. He didn't even notice the ball flying towards him, that was caught by Jasmine. Have to keep my guard up... "Thank you." Rush says, to Jasmine. He thought about what Jasmine said to him, and realize what she really wanted; she wanted to mess him to with something so she can get a laugh. Rush knew exactly what she was talking about, and could easily alter the controls from right here... Though he wanted to dismantle it more than play around with it. The only problem would be getting in trouble. Well, it was Adam's mistake by not telling everyone what they can and can't do. And this would be Rush's definition of a warm up. "Yes. Fun is my intention. Should be simple. Altering it from here. What do you have in mind?"
No other ball even went near the trio. As they were all mysteriously pushed away in another direction at high speeds by a strange force. This was a simple use of Ray's power, and wouldn't exert him too much, since this was a warm up. "Hmph. Too easy." Ray says, crossing his arms and looking bored. He wasn't going to say anything because Rush had participated in Jasmine's little prank. Merely because he's going to say he didn't know anything. But, still, it was pretty fun watching all these balls fly all over the place. To the point where a smile had actually formed on Ray's face, and a quiet laughter could be heard coming from him.
Drake Deltori Blackmore.
"Heh. Another warm up is just what I needed." Dad. Drake says, voice full of bravado and determination. He stretched his limbs some more, and cracked his neck with his hands. He decided to activate his transformation. Since he had a room full of people to account for, he figured that a full transformation wouldn't make him any friends. Drake struck a dramatic pose, crossing his arms in an X and tucking his head in like he was blocking an attack. His head of hair exploded in a cloud of super heated plasma, flowing around idly. His hands and his eyes had transformed into burning hot plasma. His blood-stream was illuminated with plasma, glowing brightly through his skin. Once his transformation was finished, he let out a small burst of plasma as he extended his arms at his sides.
Time to make up for lost time, eh?
Drake didn't see Val or Abraham anywhere, which meant that it was his time to shine. A confident smirk crept up on his face. While he didn't have his full power, because it wasn't a complete transformation, he still had a bit of power of his own. Drake locked eyes with three turrets, and a few targets. Which was perfect to show off. He quickly charged forward, using a bit of his flight to carry him forward, leaving behind a small trail of plasma. The turrets quickly aimed for him, but Drake knew better than to just run straight into enemy fire. He moved left and right in a snake-like motion. The first turret he got close he, he jumped up into the air, and fired a stream of plasma backwards to give him propulsion. He landed on the turret feet first. Since everybody else seemed to be destroying the turrets, he figured that he do it with style.
Drake had created a large orb of plasma around his hands, and slammed it into the turret, sending sparks of plasma in all directions. Then a pillar of plasma had engulfed him and the turret. Going upwards like a sort of tower. At this time, the first turret had been destroyed, melted by the intense heat. Now that left two more. Drake jumped off of the wrecked turret, shooting a jet-stream of plasma at the ground to give him propulsion. Turning in mid-air back towards the turrets, demonstrating his skill with his plasma form. When he touched the ground, he slid a few inches along the ground. Drake was quick to get right back into it, he charged the two turrets and did a clockwise spin, firing off a large wave of pure burning plasma at the one turret. Which was destroyed by his attack. Then there was one left. Time for the grand finale. Drake ran towards the last turret, and did a cart-wheel at it. While he was mid-cart wheel, he transformed further into his form. He also release a wave of plasma as he moved. He kicked the turret, breaking it, by the force of his kick, and the intense heat of the plasma.
Landing on his feet, Drake really felt proud of himself. He de-transformed a bit, back to the previously mentioned state. "Hot damn I'm good!" He says, looking back at the damage he caused. Of course there were still plenty more for him to break. And Drake Blackmore was ready, ready for some action.
Sage Lucas Pimm.
The suit actually was slightly useful in Sage's case. The suit had lights built into it, to allow Sage to bend it. It shifted the lights into two swords of a hard white light. One in each hand. These swords weren't expertly crafted or good looking. They were long, plain, double edged swords, that shined a heavenly light on the area around it. Thus, Sage was ready. A few balls came flying straight at Sage, and it was ready. Sage spent a few years in the school, training, perfecting it's sword-fighting skills, so should it come to it. When the balls came at Sage, with a quick movement, Sage sliced through the balls like they were paper. But then more and more came. Sage took several large steps, with it's power allowing it to land and ascend much slower, thus cover much more ground. It moved with a feminine and angel-like grace. Looking so balanced and beautiful with every movement. After it's last step, Sage threw one of it's light sword at the nearest turret. The sword pierced the barrel of it's gun, before the sword vanished into thin air. Sage quickly created a cross-shaped spear of hard light, and started slicing and dicing the balls.
Gabriela Mya, Jaska Din, & Jake Vin Valos.
Some training this is... Jake thought to himself as he rolled his eyes up into his head. First he was forced to wear this stupid suit, then participate in this stupid training. Well, this is the warm-up, so maybe he shouldn't be so bias. In either case, he was going to participate in this and hope for the best. He crafted an illusory log cabin around himself, and the rest of the Valos. That was strong enough to keep the balls from touching him, or Jaska. It didn't have any senses applied to it, so if anyone touched it, it wouldn't. feel like anything should someone touch it.
It wasn't hard for Jaska to avoid. It was all instinct, when one flew at his face, he reacted with lightning fast speed. He opened his mouth, and slammed his jaws shut with enough force to chew through bones with ease. Then he realized that he just chomped down on a plastic ball. "Yuck..." Jaska then spit out what was left of the ball, and dug around his mouth for whatever small fragments were left.
On the other hand... "Hahahahahaha! Most fun I had 'ere!" Gabe loudly shouted as she maneuvered through the battlefield. Her hands were glowing with a bright blood red energy, forming an oval shaped orb. She pointed her hands at a turret and fired an eye searingly bright laser, that traveled at the speed of light. The turret was destroyed, like a bomb hit it, and it's metal remains all over the place. She quickly turned her attention to another turret that dared shoot at her. She quickly put up a shield of solid energy, and the ball was crushed on impact. Gabe dropped the shield and fired another blinding laser, which destroyed that too. She wasn't interested in the targets at all, she wanted the turrets. Gabe was having a lot of fun here, because it was all stress relief that she so desperately needed. Now she was excited for the arena. She couldn't wait to find someone to just go to town on. Gabe continued her rampage throughout the arena. Not a soul in the world could stop her.
Amimoore Black Dellamorte.
... Amimoore just wasn't feeling it today. Whether it was because of the incident yesterday, or that she's done this a million times before, was unknown. But she knew that she just wanted to get this over with and curl up into a ball back at the mansion. Amimoore let out a sigh as she began. She floated a foot or two off the ground, her hands were surrounded with a greyish-purple aura. She pointed her hands at the some of the objects put in the training room, and released her telekinetic-virus, which is a greyish purple energy came out of her hands and went right at the objects. The energy seemingly went into the immediate area, and quickly spread to everything in the room that wasn't nailed down. After a few seconds, the virus stopped moving, and all the infected objects started floating. All the objects came towards her and formed a dome around herself, protecting her from the balls. Amimoore launched off some of the objects at the turrets, destroying them.
Carmen 'Lily' Santo.
Once training started...
While everyone else was- Well, it was humiliating enough to even talk about it - bobbing and weaving, doing their best to avoid getting hit by balls, Lily was getting utterly pelted with balls from several turrets. They were hitting her all over, it wasn't too painful, but it was more humiliating than anything. All she did was cover her face with her arm, and ran with haste. Lily dove behind a wall, then the turrets stopped going after her, and aimed for the other students. Lily let out a sigh of relief as she crawled from out of cover and looked around for someone she knew. She saw Merry, floating some marvels in the air for whatever reason. But hey, Merry was one of the only allies Lily had here. She approached Merry, who would get a minor boost to her power from Lily's mere presence. She examined Merry closely, while in use of her power, and deduced what her power was from her Meta-human energy moving and fluctuating. "You have Weight manipulation...?" Before she suddenly felt awkward for even mentioning it, "Uh, sorry. I just uh..."

Jasmine
"Figured it would be entertaining if we saw how so-called 'trained professionals' deal with these turrets." she said, smirking in the direction of the power trainers "I mean, how else would we know how to properly defend ourselves against plastic balls?" She smirked and almost laughed at the thought. She had always found the power instructors here rather haughty, especially Leon, who she was sure instituted the extra-tight power suits. Something about being able to see everything really made her not like him, though she knew that he'd be an excellent ally if she was ever stumped on a case. Speaking of allies, Jasmine began to wonder where Mel was. She'd normally make it to events like these just to show off. Jasmine shrugged, and began to walk towards the panel at the side of the room, assuming that Rush and Ray were following her. Mel's presence was really inconsequential, as Jasmine had a new crew of friends now.
Neal
Animoore's powers were absolutely awe-inspiring. He watched as she destroyed several turrets with objects launched from her telekinetic virus and smiled. Not only was she nice, but she could kick ass. Neal caused his whip to vanish, and it disappeared in a cloud of purplish smoke. He formed a six foot high purple brick wall between himself and the nearest turret and summoned a purple compound bow. He'd prefer a crossbow but he had tried that last year and got nothing but a lump of purple goo and the worst headache in the history of mankind. The balls bounced harmlessly off of the wall. Neal stepped out from under cover and fired an arrow at the sensor of the nearest turret. He hit it dead-center, and the turret exploded. He fired several more arrows and hit four more targets within the first ring. The bow was one of Neal's most-experienced weapons, and he knew it well. He was incredibly accurate. One of the turrets turned at him and he shot it through the sensor once more. It sparked and exploded, showering the nearby area with sparks. He watched as a mutant he had never seen before destroyed several turrets in towering masses of plasma. It was almost more impressive than Animoore's power. This guy was like a human fireworks display.
"Hey!" Neal called to Drake, firing another arrow and hitting another target, this time on the second ring "One helluva power you've got there!" Neal noticed several other powers here that quite impressed him. One guy(?) was obliterating plastic balls with a spear of light, and a girl destroyed several turrets with extremely bright lasers. As she blasted the lasers, he heard a deafening "PEW!", like something out of a sc-fi movie. A log cabin appeared in the middle of the fight, bringing forth a few chuckled from him, and then there was Jasmine, who apparently was so intimidating today that even plastic balls curved away from her. He watched as three of the balls curved at near-90 degree angles just before reaching her and those other two people from the night before and went streaking towards the ceiling.
Rose
This really wasn't Rose's thing. The little sickly-looking redheaded girl sat in the corner of the room quietly, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. Her suit was jet black with light pink streaks running down the insides of her arms and legs. The skintight suit emphasized her incredibly bony body, making her look like a skeleton. Two air tanks were built into the back of the suit and they ran to the cannula under her nose. The suit had its own gloves built into it that allowed Rose to control her power if necessary, though she wasn't expecting to use it at all.
Today was a good day for her lungs. She had gone to the school's hospital the night before with an infection in her lungs, something she had dealt with on-and-off over the course of her life. The infections sucked the life out of her, though, and left her feeling absolutely exhausted. She watched as the others fought in the power training arena. Many of them were very impressive and quite entertaining. She watched as one boy destroyed several turrets with a blast of plasma, and another boy hit bullseyes on several targets with a compound bow. The people here were very impressive, but she knew practically no one. She decided that sitting in the corner wasn't very wise, however, and decided to move towards a girl struggling to levitate some marbles. She got up slowly and walked towards her. One or two balls came within striking distance of Rose's head and chest, but just before reaching her they disintegrated.
"Um, hello." Rose said to Merry, not sure what else to say "I'm Rose."

Jaylin and Kynan -
Jaylin was now only partially merged with Kynan- Instead of telling Kynan where plastic balls were coming in, his hands and feel were no longer merged with Kynan and kicking and swinging every which way in a somewhat freaky display. Finally Jaylin walked completely out of Kynan's body. They wre working really well together- but then, what could one expect from twins that have a constant mind link? The two both noticed the animal meta fighting off to the side (Jaska).
Hey, Kynan- who is that?
Some animal meta.
I wonder if he's nice! Let's just dodge our way over there!
Wait- No! I-
Too late.
Fine, if you're going then I guess I'll go, too.
Jaylin quickly ran towards the young animal meta, followed by Kynan shortly after. Jaylin grinned as he approached Jaska. "Hey! Awesome skills, dude!" Really- how could someone catch a flying with their mouth? Kynan sighed, catching a ball as Jaylin wasn't paying attention.

Jesse Sutor
This felt nice, being around people he can trust or even call friend. Moving north had separated him from a lot of people he knew, being able to interact with only his step siblings for the most part. It was relaxing and it helped him take his mind off some of his troubles, despite some being too great to be distracted from. But he was able to look away from the specters and listen intently to Lily as she talked, it was something he was grateful for. Even if they were only talking about silly suits and how it matched the color of her hair, she still bore a smile on her face and it was heartwarming. The topic had moved on to the group, and Jesse could tell that his question tripped something in her head, you can tell by how her eyes dimmed and how her brows scuffled in thought. At first, she seemed... hesitant, as though words were at the tip of her tongue. This was confirmed to be true as she revealed a trait of her power and an example of its usage and nothing more. If one looked, they could tell his face brightened and that he was trying to hold back a smile - and failing.
"I guess I owe you more thanks than I thought. If we hadn't only just met I'd probably be trying to hug you." Jesse said with a dumb and awkward smile across his face, only to panic at the last second thinking what he said was probably super creepy. "Oh I-I'm sorry, that probably sounds really weird and... creepy. Sorry."
He'd be the epitome of smooth if he was anybody but himself.
The class had moved on to the training room and he had yet to reveal his power. He felt unfair about it, considering how he had yet to talk about his power while Lily did hers after making the argument how a team wouldn't be viable if their abilities were secret to one another. He watched as the targets and turrets and other environmental decals started up. People went to action damn near immediately. He looked to his side and saw the girl, Merry, taking marbles from her pocket. He watched them start hovering and spinning in her hand. Jesse sighed in resignation. He had to share, it wouldn't be fair otherwise. But he didn't know what to say other than "I'm schizophrenic", he had barely an ounce of control over his abilities. His abilities regardless, he still owed a lot to Lily, so he'd try to repay her however he can and the least he could do was to start off by admitting.
Jesse started talking, hesitating at first. "I... I can see things. Ghosts, apparitions, I don't know what they are. That's it, I think. Nothing really happened until, well, last night. I don't know what happened then, they just seemed to have gone crazy, but I think it might've had to do with that Amimoore girl."
He excluded the happening that had occurred before Abe entered the room. He shook his head in frustration and sighed. "I don't know. All I know is that I don't like them, I want nothing to do with them; they frighten me."
This admission, confession - whatever - lost much of its intimacy when Drake spurred into action. He remembered the guy from last night except with a lot less... fire, if it could be called that. It looked more pure. Regardless, the suddenly flashy appearance of Drake and watching him spring across the room destroying turrets was quite the sight to behold if Jesse's surprised expression hadn't given it away. It was almost enough to detract his attention from Amimoore's stunt. That looks like telekinesis...
Of course, not paying attention in this environment deserves a plastic ball harmlessly hitting and bouncing off the side of your head, thus allowing Jesse to get a grip back on reality.

Merry began to get used to the chaos around her, finding it easier and easier to focus her powers solely on the marbles in her hand and not the people around her. She positioned her empty hand behind one of the floating marbles, flicking it softly. As the marble soared away from her, it's weight changed massively. By the time it slammed into the target Merry had aimed for the sound it created was loud enough and produced enough force to believe the little marble was a dumbbell. But as the marble fell back to the ground it hardly produced a sound, rolling against a wall. Merry did this a few more times, trying her hardest to increase her aim and weight. But it wasn't anything too impressive, fine for her first time ever trying out her powers like this. Merry swished the last few marbles around in her hand, giving Lily a thumbs up when she had guessed her power with her free one. "Bingo!" Merry said with a grin. "Was it really that easy to guess?" Or maybe this was part of Lily's powers. Neat.
As Merry was lining up the next marble, another voice reached her ears. A voice even smaller then Lily's if that was possible. Merry almost dropped the marble, surprised to hear someone so suddenly. "Uh." Merry found herself lost for words for a moment, she hadn't expected such a sudden or strange conversation to start in the middle of their training. "Sup?" Merry shook the last of the doubt from her voice. "It's nice to meet ya! Name's Merry." This girl, Rose, looked rather sickly. Hopefully nothing contagious.

"Hmph, that might actually be more fun to watch than what I thought you were going to do." Ray says after Jasmine. He wasn't too worried about getting in trouble since he knew it'd probably be a slap on the wrist, and even if it wasn't, he didn't care. They'd probably have to shovel snow at least (Which with Ray, should take no less than a few minutes). He quickly turned his attention to the power instructors. A small ripple in the air appeared above them. Then a small, dark-blue, transparent copy of Ray's eye appeared in the very center of the ripple. Which allowed Ray to see through it like he was there. "Boy genius, if you're going to do it, do it now. They aren't paying attention to us." Ray says, as the eye vanished.
It took a bit of focus, effort, and energy but Rush successfully had hacked into the systems. Giving absolute control of the systems to him. Hell, if he really wanted to, he could cause everything in here to kill everyone. No, not yet. The targeting systems have been set so that the turrets would automatically target everyone with a suit. Which explains why no balls have been even going near them. All Rush has to do is flip the script and the targets would target everyone without a suit. He's honestly playing along with Jasmine's little prank merely out of boredom. Rush knew that Adam can detect even the subtle power usages. But he figured out that it only works when he's observing him. All he has to do is make the changes quickly and act natural.
In the blink of an eye, all the turrets stopped going for the students and directed all their barrels to the three power instructors in the center of the room. Rush also made it so that the remote couldn't turn them back off.
Adam Leo Blackmore, Megan Emma Jervious, & Leon Maddox Vahan.
When every last turret in the room had stopped shooting the students, then eerily directed their guns at the three instructors, and started firing. Absolutely pelting the teachers with every ball in the room.
"... Oh boy." Leon says to himself. He saw all of the room. Using his Eye of Providence to see every last turret aimed at him. Then they started shooting at him, Leon was capable of perfectly dodging them. Since he saw their exact course, dodging them would be easy as hell. He was more focused on dodging than anything else.
Not moving from her position, Megan stayed perfectly still. Even when a few of the balls hit her, she didn't move at all. She had her clipboard pressed up against her chest with her arms wrapped around her. She didn't need to do anything. All she did was make her skin mimic the properties of a hard metal, without taking the appearance of it. Thus any balls that hit her merely bounced off of her. "Oh, that's not supposed to happen, now is it, Adam?"
A couple of balls had hit Adam, merely because he as caught off guard. He tightened his body and put his arms up over his head so none would hit him in the face. Only an annoyed scowl crept up on Adam's face. This is likely the work of one of the disruptive students looking to make a joke out of them. Which brought him immense irritation. Someone was playing with the controls, he didn't know who exactly did so, but he had his suspicions. If he finds out who is behind this, he'll throw them into the detention center for an hour for disrupting class. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the remote control, but no matter how many times he pressed it to shut off, nothing happened. When Megan spoke, his eyes drifted in her direction, "No, it isn't." The balls came directly at them. There was no choice, unless they want to get humiliated by this prank, he figured that he should do something. Time to show them why I am the teacher. With one swipe of his hand, he created a powerful wave of air. That was strong enough to send everyone off their feet that was hit by it. Fortunately it wasn't aimed at the students. All balls that were hit were sent off in another direction at high speed.
Then more and more came. Which was hard. Time for him to demonstrate his power well to the students. A great dome of rushing winds surrounded the three power instructors. Anything that hit the dome was violently thrown around, or caught up in it. Forming a shield form the balls. Everyone in the room would hear the violent winds of the dome. He was going to get to the bottom of this momentarily. This was the first part of proving his point.
Drake Deltori Blackmore.
Maxx wrote:

So many eyes on me. I can't fail to impress them now! Drake thought to himself, as he looked at Neal and gave him a smile that was full of confident. Drake knew people were watching him, and he couldn't help himself from showing off. But to pull out the cooler techniques, Drake would have to transform a bit more. Well, there isn't anyone nearby, so Adam wouldn't complain if he transform fully. He stopped and exploded into a cloud of a whitish-green plasma. When the plasma cloud dispersed, there was Drake in his fully transformed state. A burning hot plasma, that was a whitish-green color, surrounded his being from head to toe and infused his veins. The heat that he gave off traveled throughout the room, like they were standing in the room with a star. He directed his gaze at the nearest turret. He pointed both hands at the turret. A crackling sound could be heard coming from him, as electricity pulsed across his body, through the plasma. Traveling to his hands. He fired off a massive bolt of lightning that utterly obliterated the turret. Illuminating the area in a white light, until it faded away moments later. Drake smiled eagerly. He pointed both hands up in the air and shot off two bolts of lightning at the ceiling. Causing a cracking in the ceiling. All while he laughed like a maniac, "Hahaha, yes!"
Drake wanted more, this was one hell of a warm-up - Well, now, it was more of a show. For everyone else to see how powerful he is. He saw a group of turrets, all bunched and waiting to be destroyed. Drake figured that he show off some more. Because any balls that hit him would have long melted before they could even get close. He quickly jumped up into the air, using his flight sub-power to carry him over to the center of the turrets. He fired off a stream of plasma to soften his landing. "Now give it to me!" Drake loudly shouted, as he jumped into the crowd of turrets. Ready for some more action. Unfortunately, he found himself severely disappointed. None of the balls were going for him. He turned his head to where they were going, and saw they were directed at the teachers. Why exactly? Were they trying to demonstrate proper ball defense? "Hey! Dad! Stop hogging all the balls!" He shouted over at the teachers. Before realizing how dirty what he said sounded, "Not in that way! Not in that way!" He quickly added on, trying to make his voice louder than the rushing air current.

It was hard differentiating them from his other senses being bombarded at once, but Jaska managed to pick up their scent and hear them coming. Jaska whipped around and faced them. "Oh! Thanks! Hi, I'm Jaska." He said to them with a cheerful smile. The only problem was that stopping caused the turrets to target him. In response, he extended his whips and sorta wrapped them around himself, and somewhat around his guest Jaylin. Jaska's smile turned into a frown as he looked quite strained for a moment. Then the balls stopped hitting him. Which he was glad for since he didn't like this whole thing all that much. "Oh... They stopped." He said relieved that he had to stop. But then he directed his focus at the teachers getting pelted. Even from this far away, his eye-sight was so keen that it wasn't really a problem seeing them perfectly. The only response from Jaska was laughter. ".... Hahahahahaha look at them..." Jaska's speech shortly devolved into a mess of amused gibberish.

"I don't know. All I know is that I don't like them, I want nothing to do with them; they frighten me."
Ghosts? From watching it in action, they weren't dead. Lily thought to herself as she looked at Jesse after he explained his powers. She knew everything that happened last night, and how to explain it. Hell, she could explain what happened far better than the power instructors could. She felt like she could trust him, because she knew there was a common-ground between them because they dislike their powers (And if she wanted to stretch it; cause them pain as well). But she was a little short on time, so she'd have to give him a brief explaination. "Look, not trying to point fingers here, but it was a negative reaction between your powers. Amimoore's telepathy upset the apparitions and made 'em attack both of you." Lily said before the warm up even began.
Because time travel.

"Bingo!" Merry said with a grin. "Was it really that easy to guess?" Or maybe this was part of Lily's powers. Neat.
She had watched Merry's demonstration of her power by destroying it. She wondered what it'd do if Lily had amplified it... No. Lily would probably never reveal that part of her power. Only when someone's life required it, would Lily consider super charging someone. "For me; yes. I can tell what your power is by watching..." Lily answers Merry, she faded off when a stranger had randomly decided to approach them. She was open with telling Merry and Jesse a bit of her power, but not a stranger.

"Um, hello." Rose said to Merry, not sure what else to say "I'm Rose."
... Oh god. Lily thought to herself. She found this whole situation very odd, and awkward. Rose looked like a girl that should be in the hospital, instead of the training grounds. She looked sick and had to walk around with these two awkward air tanks, and that suit really showed off nothing that anyone would like to see. Worse of all, Lily's presence would give Rose a slight boost to her power, and make her feel stronger. Hopefully Rose won't notice. "Oh, hi, I'm, umm... Lily."
That's when all the turrets directed themselves at the teachers. Lily turned her body towards them and watched. She found it funny, especially how Adam was getting hit. She hadn't forgotten what Adam tried to do yesterday, and this is like fitting payback now. "That'd teach you to try and lock me, down, @sshole." Lily says out loud, loud enough for everyone nearby to hear.

Jaylin and Kynan -
Jaylin didn't even flench whenever Jaska turned to face him- whether it is because of naivety, confidense, courage, or a mixture of the three, it is unknown. "Nice to meet ya'. I'm Jaylin and he's Kynan," He pointed a thumb at Kynan, who was busy blocking and dodging, though partially spaced out due to a telepathic conversation.
Jaska is fun! And around our age! We should hang out with him more often, Kynan!
We don't know him that well, yet.
True, but he seems nice- oh, wait- the balls stopped.
The twins slowly looked towards the direction Jaska was looking (and laughing) at. They couldn't see as well, but they could tell what was happening. The two began laughing in unison- hilariously they had the exact same laugh, as if a copy of the exact same laugh were being played with the original.
- Bre and Len -
When the turrets turned away, Bre looked around curiously, noticing the teachers getting pelted. She held in a laugh and turned to Len, "Well, this is more fun than last year-'Wonder what meta could pull this off."
Len had only met one meta like that- his roommate. He sighed in anmoyance and looked in the direction of him. He didn't seem to be doing anything.
Bre looked towards where Len was looking, straightening hersunglasses. "Oh- isn't that Rush? Nah- I don't think he would do that. Well, then again, he doesn't strike me as trustworthy, so maybe." She looked back at the three teachers. "Either way, it's funny. Not like we're gonna get in trouble for a couple of idiots' idea."
Len nodded, a small smile on his face. "Yeah- I guess you're right."
- Ene -
Ene was looking around frantically. "I-what... who... how?" was all she could manage. She wasn't sure wether to laugh at the teachers or find the culprit. Ene sucked in a breath of air and sighed, standing with a shocked expression on her face as her eyes darted around the room.

Seth
Seth took the lead of the student's following behind Adam. Once they got to the training room he stood nearby and waited. He didn't need the practice, so he increased the density of the air in a dome around him. Any balls that came his way reflected off. It didn't look like the teachers were busy, so he decided to inquire about his tasks as assistant. As he started to get the words out of his mouth he was alerted to a change in the room. The turrets were now zeroing in on the staff. Had he actively been paying attention the rest of the class he would have known who did it. Too late now, but he could always find out later. There couldn't be many student's capable of reprogramming the turrets.
Each of them used their respective powers to ward of the storm of plastic projectiles, ending with Adam creating a dome of air. It was quite impressive looking, but he already knew of his air manipulation. Once this issue was solved, Seth would resume asking for instruction.
Vespera and Cassandra
Once everyone else had gotten up from their seats, the Gothic pair fell in back on the line. "How do you think we'll start this year?" asked Vespera.
"The same way as always," Cassandra replied, her voice lacking all enthusiasm. This her got a look of confusion. They didn't start out the exact same way every year. Then she added. "Absolutely dreadful."
This indeed turned out to be true. Vespera created black dome with a web like pattern over Cassandra and herself. "You're right. This exercise is more of an annoyance." She thought back to when she was much younger, and how she'd been all into dodging the turrets and taking them out. Not anymore. She was still competitive, but this was beneath her talents.
"Oh hey. Take a look at that Drake fellow." He was putting on quite a show with some sort of energy power. "I think we got a winner for after school, what do you think?" Ever since they'd been introduced to the arena it had become one of their favorite things to do. A tradition of Cassandra's was challenging the most arrogant new guy to a match and beating the snot out of him.
"I have to admit, he does look promising. Perhaps we should learn a bit more about his power before doing anything." The last thing she wanted to do was make a fool of herself. It was likely that at least one of their group could handle him, so she'd try her darnedest to get him brought down a notch, even if not by her doing. "Too bad Seth isn't into the arena, I'd like to see what he can do."
"Between you and me I don't think he's all that." This wasn't entirely honest. The way Seth just knew things was unsettling, and he had something else up his sleeve. They both knew that Seth was behind the near murder of a few students, granted that they were lowlifes. It's not the act the concerned them anyways. There were plenty other mutants capable of similarly putting others down, but the thing is he didn't get caught in any manner. That was something exceeding hard to do in a place like this.
Vespera was going to respond, but something caught her attention. The turrets ceased fire as they found new targets. The teachers. "This might be entertaining." Of course it wasn't a problem for the staff, but the look on Adam's face was priceless. Even better, it ruined Drake's glory hounding. Like anyone was impressed by destroying those turrets anyways. To add to it he went off about balls, then corrected himself. So he was definitely a try hard, but she wasn't going to let his foolish mannerisms make her underestimate him.

Valery Arsov
((Sorry for the wait, I've had a bunch going on and know I'm holding everybody up. I'm that guy))
Val grinned, not missing a beat, and grabbed Abe's hand in a firm handshake. Val's handshakes conveyed his strength but not an attempt to crush the other person's hand-Val thought people like that were usually tools, and Val, on occasion, tried to not be a tool.
"Good to meet you! I am Valery Arsov. Call me 'Val' or, hell, whatever you want really. I go with flow." he gave Abe a clap on the back before turning back to Drake. "Ah, you will not embarrass yourself. If you do, I will come up with sob story. Women love sob stories. They are hard to pull off when you're over six feet and Russian, though." Val listened closely to talk of a team forming. This was interesting. Normally his arena ventures were solo, but hey, never hurt to have a quasi-official alliance going. Val was confident in being able to hold his own, so unless Abe's power was summer manipulation, they could probably fight alongside each other just fine. "Ah, a team. I like it, I like it. I think we need a good name, though. All the good superheroes have badass names. And also we need a chick. If I'm going to be watching people fighting crime in spandex..." he shrugged before turning his attention to the training room.
Ah, turrets. Val was not particularly fond of the turrets. They did not play well to his strengths, but, with a casual crack of his neck to one side and then the other, Val figured perhaps that was what one needed occasionally. Ah, my friend Drake is adapting well! Although not following my slow and steady advice. Perhaps not everyone is a slowpoke like me. Val adopted his fighting stance, which was clearly very defensive; he was leaning forward slightly, crouched down just a bit, and ready to sidestep an incoming attack or use his armored forearms to take the brunt of the blow.
The turrets began to open fire and Val began to let loose. The effects, of course, were not immediately obvious; for the first fifteen seconds or so, Val seemed to be frantically dancing around their projectiles, pausing for only a half second every now and then to tap the ground with his foot. After about a minute, however, flurries of snow had begun to fall in earnest around him, with the temperature around him dropping noticeably. Most prominent, however, was the black ice that began creeping across the floor underneath the turrets, which Val seemed to glide across with incredible ease. The hulking Russian maneuvered around the turrets' fire much more easily after that, and the shots that did find their mark didn't seem to slow him considerably. Val would be bruised, but he had dealt with bruises before. Beyond that, the more he used his power, and the more his own body began to freeze, the less he felt his injuries. It was a double-edged sword, but it could come in handy.
After perhaps five minutes, the turrets were grunting and wheezing with the strain of trying to turn and fire at Val, despite the fact their gears had been frozen in place by the liquid that had accumulated on them and promptly solidifed. Breath misting before him, shins halfway covered with snow, Val looked up at the turrets with a triumphant grin and began walking away from the turrets. Without his active concentration, the snow began to melt rather quickly, with the black ice following suit.
"Ah, I still have it. Any of you b*tches want a snowball fight outside later, I am always game." Val turned and watched Drake and Abe in the Training room, yawning slightly. While the redirection of the balls (heh) was a fleetingly amusing prank, Val felt it probably wasn't a best idea. On the new kids' first day? Now that killjoy Adam will have to save face and do something mean to everybody. At least do prank back in dorms, when the teachers aren't around.

Roommate. Oh. Yes. Her. Act natural. Act calm.

Leila said, not making eye contact, speaking in subdued tones: gone was the happy, dare I say it, proud Leila who had emerged a few hours earlier; the relapse of the voices had brought out the docile, startled girl once more. "Oh, Eli. This is my roommate, Gabe, and her brothers..." Leila trailed off, not being a strong social butterfly on her own-much less when she had to introduce people, and glanced awkwardly between them. Her happiness, however, quickly turned to rage when Eli said "So they're back".
Turning away from him, she elbowed him in the side, sharply, sending a pointed glare in his direction. Don't tell anyone, damn you! Why? Would you say that out loud with them here? With HER here? This is bad, this is so very very bad, now everyone will know-

An idea you shouldn't be entirely opposed to.) Nothing she could do now but hope that the others hadn't noticed. As the group moved into the training room, Leila moved closer to Eli, feeling a slight lessening of the demon's presence-but her striking Eli had roused Wrath, and she could feel his slow, lumbering consciousness waking up from the back of her mind. She feared him the most.
"Sorry for, um, hitting you, I just...if people knew..." she murmured.

Jesse Sutor
"Telepathy?" Jesse asked himself, somewhat confused by the answer. He swatted away the plastic balls that had come towards him while he was thinking about what he heard. Odd. So the girl, Amimoore, her power wasn't just telekinesis. Telekinesis and telepathy? He found it a little queer, concluding that her power must've blanketed most psychic abilities entirely, in which case she was definitely someone he didn't want to cross. But at the same time, something happened with her and her telepathy that triggered the apparitions. That is the thing that really struck him as odd. Why would that cause them to attack the both of them? They clearly couldn't interact with the others like they could with him, and why would he also be a victim of their berserk? Jesse felt that he was on to something but he couldn't tell just what. He had to think more on this after the training or later tonight.
He felt a cold breeze brush past his neck. What? Why would there... he turned around to see his room mate Val skating by him and onto the warm up field, ice appearing beneath his feet and the turrets freezing around him. He recalled his guess from last night, about him having some form of control over ice; it appeared as though he was right. He couldn't help but smile as he watched the happy-go-lucky Russian guy skate across the field and having fun breaking things. If only Jesse had a power that fun to use.
But something was wrong here. It was calm. Too calm. Of course there were students talking and showing off, but he felt a little less annoyed. Looking up the turrets he noticed something off about them. They stopped - and they were moving. They suddenly let loose a barrage of plastic balls that found their way over to the teachers. While Leon impressed with his sharp reflexes and Megan stood there hardly noticing them as they bounced off her body, they had found their mark on Adam and had instilled a reaction in him. Jesse took a couple steps back sensing trouble. Immediately, a strong burst of wind blew the oncoming balls away before a shell of air and wind surrounded the teachers. The sheer power of such ability was menacing to behold. He could tell the teacher was pissed and that there was going to be some inevitable lecture.
It seems no matter which school he went to, there was always somebody stupid pulling stunts.

Abe grinned from ear to ear upon his introduction with Valory. Nice handshake! It looked like there was another guy that'd be fun to hang out with along with Drake! All charming, tall, strong devils and no doubt charming when it comes to ladies - though certainly they ought to learn that Abe doesn't share unless he is able to afford it. But needless to say, he was eager to accept the group proposal. Val seemed like an energetic guy with a chill disposition... and he was funny! Of course, they'd surely need some sort of team name if they're going to make a name for themselves. It's already as if there was a sports team going to be made, and these three were the top players! Maybe some cheer leaders, hm? The Gabe gal was rocking the suit, as was Lily and a couple others. The two goth ladies look much less weird without their attire making a scene. Then they were directed to the turrets.
It was cute honestly, this idea of a warm up. He got his hopes up for a moment, but he refused to showcase his abilities lest it actually be portrayed on the big screen. Why waste it on warm ups? Abe nimbly avoided the oncoming plastic balls that were aimed towards his suit, even catching a few and mischievously chuck them at some of the other students. But it was all in good fun! If there'd be anyone who would get their panties in a twist, he'd easily put them in their place. Needless to say, it was a little challenging to stretch while avoiding getting hit, but it was nothing that Abe couldn't manage.
Despite his own preference to not reveal them just yet, his newfound teammates went ahead and started partying. Drake rocketed off like the Human Torch and started blasting away at the turrets. That was a fairly nice power! It was dynamic and had power, both fairly good traits to have. He had the advantage that Abe didn't: range. In a team match, the two would no doubt compensate for each other. But there was also the matter of Val and what he could do. This question was answered upon a short assessment of his abilities as he skidded across the training room. Oh, so he's an ice man! Fair enough! Val would be good at immobilizing the opponents while Drake and I go in for the kill. Suddenly, this team idea was beginning to appear much more appealing.
"Haha! Lookin' hot you guys!" He called out jovially to them with a white toothy smile.
Much to Abe's puzzlement, the turrets had suddenly stopped targeting him and the other students. There was even a moment of stillness - eminence. Like the calm before the storm. As the turrets redirected their fire at the teachers, whatever had happened clicked in Abe's brain. Somebody messed with the turrets! He soon found himself in hysterics, clearly having a blast by watching the teacher's game be turned against them. There had to be some insecurity there, there just had to. He trouble keeping the corners of his mouths from opening and bust out laughing as he watched Drake's father put on a show with wind and blocking all of the oncoming balls. He wanted to say something along the lines of 'it looks like you're compensating' and make a bigger fool out of the teacher... but frankly, he wanted to stay long enough to kick some ass and he wasn't going to be able to do that while being escorted out by a teacher with a stick up their butt.
On one hand, he could've helped out the teachers. Erect a wall of stone in front of them to block all the oncoming balls away, but since that was already covered, it would be redundant since the only thing that would come out of it was a little bit of attention. If Abe was going to make it a surprise, he ought not to half-ass it, he had to go all the way or none at all. Now if he wanted to do something productive, he could try to find whomever it was that started that mayhem. Get him on Abe's side, and if that didn't work out, maybe sell him out to Mr. Blackmoore. There was a course of action for everything.

Rose
So these people were friendly. That was a plus. Lily was...weird, to say in the least, but she seemed polite enough until the balls all started shooting at the teachers. Then she seemed to get angry. Merry was kind, though, and so Rose figured that she'd try to make friends with her. Not knowing anyone here was quite a problem. She'd been doing this long enough, though, to realize that the both of them were thinking the same thing; they were both wondering about her disease. Rose sighed loudly and frowned. That was always what people were concerned with.
"It's not contagious." she said "I have cystic fibrosis. It's genetic." She just waited for them to walk away from her. Why did everyone always look at her disease before her personality? People did this constantly, and it got old. Even in a school for the paranormal, Rose couldn't just be normal. She wasn't even a normal freak.
Neal
So somebody messed with the wiring, then. Neal thought to himself as the turrets attacks the teachers. He smiled and chuckled a bit as the teachers defended themselves from their own warmup. Neal disintegrated his brick wall as he realized that the warmup would be ending soon. It had been around five minutes, and warmups only lasted about that long. Next the mutants would be taken three at a time to private training rooms to have their power assessed. Neal hoped that he'd get a higher rank this time. Last year he lost focus while trying to make a very complicated statue and ended up shattering it over Megan's head. Hopefully that wouldn't happen again. He laughed as Drake yelled at Adam, who was apparently his father, about hogging the attention and leaned back on a turret, waiting for the warmup to end. It had been fun, but now it was time to prove himself. It was getting quite hot thanks to Drake's power, and Neal didn't want to overexert himself.
Jasmine
"Well that wasn't nearly as amusing as I'd hoped." Jasmine still smirked as the turrets moved to attack the teachers. She had hoped for more of a reaction out of them, but instead they masterfully handled the situation. She was sure that they'd get in trouble if caught, but none of the teachers scared her. Leon was easy to beat by simply taking his glasses and Megan and Adam didn't seem very strong, though she didn't know what their powers were. Hopefully the warmup would come to an end soon, as Jasmine was getting bored. She watched as a meta across the room pulled up a turret and threw it across the room. Apparently they had a superman on campus now.
And speaking of superman...
Spoiler:
This was Titus' kind of warmup: a room full of turrets to smash and destroy. His suit amused him, actually; it was Superman blue with red boots and a A red T on the chest in the same script as Superman's S. When Titus entered the room, he cracked his knuckles and went at it. Titus walked out to the other side of the room, watching the other powers present. There was a guy with a seemingly magical bow, a telekinetic, some badass plasma guy, a girl shooting lasers, a guy(?) slashing plastic balls to pieces with a spear, and what appeared to be a werewolf boy. The log cabin that appeared in the room made Titus chuckle, and he looked around at a few of the other mutants with interest. He was, in effect, sizing up his competition for strongest mutant. Titus was quite the competitive type, and he always saw other strong mutants as a threat. He figured that it was about time to show off what he could do.
Titus walked to the turret closest to him and it began to fire plastic balls at him. They bounced off with ease and didn't hurt even the slightest bit. Titus grabbed the turret and threw it across the room, where it crashed into the wall and burst into flames. He kicked a second one in half, and pieces of it flew across the room. He grabbed yet another turret, crushed it into the size of a soccer ball, and threw it into Drake's plasma storm. He destroyed five more turrets in similar fashion before they started pelting the teachers. He jumped up in the air and stomped one turret, destroying it, and delivered a roundhouse kick to another's gun barrel. The barrel was shoved through the back of the turret, destroying it. He grabbed another and to punctuate his assault, punted it across the room. It landed about three feet from where Lily, Rose, and Merry were and exploded. He laughed heartily when the turret exploded.
"I LOVE DOING THAT!" he roared out.

Dexter 'Rush' Chertok, & Ray Judah Drager.
Maxx wrote:

While it was a little amusing, the power instructors were far too used to stunts like this to really give the freakout reaction that everyone was hoping for. It turned into more of a demonstration of the teacher's ability than the humiliation that he was hoping for. Either way, this has gone on a second too long. Time to cut it off. In the blink of an eye, all the guns stopped firing completely, and Rush's lock on the remote had been released. He didn't say a word.
"Now, let's hope no one traces it back to us..." Ray says, relieved that he finally had to stop this warm-up.
Now it seemed that Adam was barking up a storm, and demanding that all students head to the center of the room.
The Power Instructing Class.
As quickly as the turrets started, they stopped completely. Adam kept the air-shield up and running, even after he realized everything's stopped. To say the least, he wasn't too pleased. He launched out the air dome in a powerful wave in all directions. Everyone too close would be sent flying, everyone else would just feel a strong wind. All the balls and other debris close-by was launched all over the room. Adam then reached into his pocket, and pulled out the same remote control. With the press of a button, the room quickly reverted back to it's default state. No supplies, no turrets, no targets, no nothing. Other than the debris left from the destruction remained. Adam shouted at everyone in the room, "Warm up is over. Everyone assemble in the center of the room, please." Quickly, everyone stopped what they were doing and banded together in the center of the room, in front of Adam and the rest of the power instructors. Adam adjusted his glasses and gave everyone a good hard look. He was looking for any subtle power-usages, and to quickly detect them. Unfortunately, there were none that could have messed with the turrets. Adam spoke in a stern tone, he was trying to sound impartial and professional as possible, but his agitation seeped into his voice, "Now, I'd like to tell you that while I know it is the first day of class, but that does not mean now is time to pull stupid jokes like that. I will not accept anymore disruptions in class. Am I clear?" What made it all the more stupid was that every year some smartass thinks they're hilarious and pulls something like this.
While in the crowd, Drake took a step forward, raising his hand. Just like he had something to say. Something smart-@sssed, "Oh, that means that before it was time for stupid jok-" Unfortunately he was interrupted by a blast of air from Adam, which knocked him right on his @ss. Ow... He thought to himself. It was one hell of a blow, but nothing he's hasn't taken a million of before. That aggressive look on his face turned into an enthusiastic smile. "Heh, I've taken harder hits..." He didn't get off the ground.
There was no more point in lulling in it, despite how much it irritated Adam. All he was doing was making it much more satisfying for the prankster. He does have to continue with class. He coughed, covering it up with his mouth. Easing his mood. "Now, I hope you all had a good warm up, the real training starts now." Adam nodded his head. He pulled out the remote, and pressed a few buttons. On the outer ends of the training room, metal benches with comfortable pads sprung out of the floor, hidden by trap doors. "Now for those who are new; every students goes into the private training rooms for some specialized training. Three at a time." Adam pressed another button. "In the mean time, while everyone waits, I suggest taking this time to get some practice in. Or you can... Socialize. Seth, I am leaving control of the practice room up to you." Adam nodded.
A door opened on the far side of the training room. A army of strange, orb-shaped robots that were made out of a shiny metal floated out. They had a similar appearance to an eye-ball, since they were orb shaped, and red a glowing red light on one end that looked like an Iris. Underneath them were ring shaped devices that gave them the ability to hover in mid-air. Each of them were a silver color. They had a very special property that made them vital for practice. They adapted to whatever damages them, and were very hard to destroy. While expensive, there wasn't a need to get some more. Targets and dummies also rose from the floor in various areas, for more traditional target practice. "These are Eyes, specialized machines designed and constructed in Academy 142 by Hector Saffe. They adapt to whatever you hit it with, and are near impossible to destroy." After he finished talking, the Eyes started randomly floated around the room in a random formation. Serving as glorified target practice.
He was handed a clipboard by Megan, and he examined it for a moment, before calling out, "The first up are Linley Johnson, Jake Valos, and Neal Ecclestone... Linley, you go with Leon. Neal, you go with Megan. And Jake, you come with me." Adam waited for everyone to get together.
The crowd shortly dispersed to do their thing. Whether it's heading with the teachers for private training, or just waiting.
Gabriela Mya & Jaska Din Valos, & Sage Lucas Pimm.
"Oh, see ya' Jakey!" Gabe says in a sarcastic tone as Jake walked off after Adam for some private training. She crossed her arms and looked around. Exactly like she was looking for someone. There was someone (Sag) in the corners of her eyes she saw while she was training. Seemingly a light-bender. She was told that her lasers are heavily light-based. So she wondered if she could have a chat.
Jaska, who was right by her side, picked up on her searching. Innocently asking, "Whatcha' looking for?" As he looked around.
"For a blonde haired boy-gal... That I think can control light."
At the 'boy-gal' part, Jaska could only let out a "Huh?"
After a bit of searching, Gabe managed to locate Sage, who had taken a seat at the bench. A pleased smirk had crept up on Gabe's face. She didn't waste any time in grabbing Jaska by his arm, and dragging him over to where she wanted to go - The last thing she wanted to do was let him out of her sight. On his end; Jaska was confused, he furled his brows, reluctantly being dragged away. As she approached Sage, she wondered about presentation. She usually looked like she was going to break someone in half, and that wasn't her intended goal (For once). So she was going to try to smile. But then with the smile, she looked creepy as hell. Worse than she did when she was scowling. Gabe kept going over it in her head again and again - That is, until she realized that she was. With a awkward smile on, holding her bestial little brother by his arm, and generally looking unwilling. Not... The best first impression she attempted. It was yet another awkward situation. Dammit, if Jake was here, he'd probably would have long turned it around. But, he was lost, training with the teachers. Come up. "Oh, hi!" Gabe says in a forced kind tone. "I just... Uh... Saw you training, and wondered; is your power light manipulation...?" Do you have'a d*ck or a fun hole...? I pray you don't be havin' both. Question of the year.
Yet another awkward situation... Sage thought to itself as it looked at Gabe with a blank, neutral, look on it's face. It felt a bit awkward here. It came over here to the benches and wait for a moment. Before finding someone to practice with, but apparently the training partner came to her. It seemed like she was trying hard to seem nice, and sugar-coat her intentions. Or maybe it was she was going to ask about Sage's gender. Sage hated those questions. "Yeah, I have control over all light."
It's a start. Gabe shrugged, as she quietly sat down next to Sage, releasing her grip on Jaska first, though. Her fake smile quickly turned back into her usual near-hostile face. "Right... I was wonderin' if you'd like to train with me... Because I can shoot light lasers N' all. Our powers are so similar and all."
Jaska was unusually silent this time around. He was blatantly staring at Sage's body from top to bottom. Only to get more and more confused as he continued his examination. He had no clue what gender Sage was. Since he was generally oblivious to things like androgyny or transsexualism, he couldn't help but ask, "Are you a bo-" Only to get interrupted by a sharp elbow from Gabe. As a way of saying be quiet. It hurt a bit due to having a higher pain sensitivity. "Ow!"
Now Gabe was worried that Sage might have been offended by that comment, and would have lead to other awkwardness if she hadn't shut him up there. Then she remembered that she hadn't told Sage what her name even was, or her power. It was more of a way to continue her previous conversation. "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm Gabriela Valos, and dis' is my little brother, Jaska."
It choose to ignore the gender comment, merely to avoid getting annoyed. "Sage... Should we get started on the training then?"
"Gladly." Gabe says in a near sarcastic voice. She walked out of the area and walked out on to the training floor, leading both Jaska and Sage. They found themselves a nice spot away from everyone else to shoot their lasers. Abruptly, Jaska leaped up in the air, and landed on one of the Eyes. Sitting down on it with his legs crossed and his tail wrapped around his mid-section. The Eye randomly floated around, at an albeit reduced pace, with Jaska on top of it.
A puff of air came out of Gabe's mouth. "Right... I absorb light and other ambient energies to shoot lasers that travel at light-speed. What do you think we can do wit' em?" Gabe took some steps backwards to put some distance between them. Gabe and Sage stood exactly across from each other, meters apart.
"Like, what kind of lasers are they...?" It asked, "What can they do?"
"They can be hot, hard, or just light." Gabe answers, putting her hand on her hip and shifting her weight to that hip.
Sage thought about it for a moment, "I think I could... Catch... Them." The hesitation in Sage's voice was apparent. It wasn't a solid theory, but if they were light then Sage could theoretically do anything to them that it could do with regular light.
It wasn't certainly the first thing Gabe thought of. Shooting this androgynous boy-girl with a laser right when she first met him was a bit confusing. "Ya' sure...?" She asked, hesitant.
"Yeah, just try it."
"Right... You asked for it." Gabe says, she blew a puff of air out of her mouth the very moment she stopped talking. Gabe then assumed her usual combat stance. She put her legs shoulder-width apart and put as much weight as she could on them. She pointed both hands at Sage, five fingers first, putting them together. A oval shaped orb of blood red energy surrounded them, casting a bright light on the area around her - Though Sage's presence made the light much brought. "Alright... Three... Two... One... Go!" The words left her mouth as the orbs shot a massive, blood red laser directly at Sage's mid-section, that was concussive/solid, opposed to hot. It cast a light so bright that it could be seen from throughout the room - And filled Gabe's sole eye with so much light that she was utterly blinded. Unable to see the damage until the light faded away. In hindsight, she knew that it was a bit too much.
"I... Am Sage, the Heavensent." Sage whispered to itself as Gabe counted down. This required utter focus, and faith in it's own abilities. There was not an ounce of doubt coming from Sage. It knew it had the power to do it. So once the laser fired, unlike Gabe, Sage was not blinded. It concentrated all of it's effort into catching the laser, and effectively stopped it mid-flight. But it still retained it's immense glow on the area around. The laser seemingly was frozen in a sort of stasis. Not moving, nor fading away. Sage was keeping the laser in existence through sheer will, once slip up and the laser would fade away. Sage dimmed the lights around the laser, to allow Gabe to see.
When the lights faded a bit, Gabe was honestly impressed. Sage had done something that Gabe could never do, cause the lasers to go into a stasis. The best she could do was fire a continuous laser-beam - But this, this was something different. She had a curious look on her face as she quickly skittered over to the frozen laser beam. She curiously tapped it over and over again with one finger. It was like she was touching glass... But at the same time, wasn't. "My god, ya' actually did it!"
Seeing that it was a mission successful, Sage smile cheerfully, like the smile of a innocent child. "I can keep it like this for awhile... Wanna try it some more?"
Jaska had his eyes covered and his wings wrapped around his face. His eyes were much more sensitive than the average human being. That flash would have surely blinded him, and caused him immense pain.
Amimoore Black Dellamorte, & Drake Deltori Blackmore.
After the warm-up had concluded, Amimoore clawed her way to the furthest bench, away from everyone else. Then sat down, looking at the floor with sad eyes. Hoping that nobody she recognized showed up. She mulled on what happened last night. She remembered the agony she never wanted to feel again. She just found it hard to get over. Actually, Amimoore just wanted to get through with this so she can go home and sleep it all away. While she was in her reverie, she heard someone walk up. "Oh no..." She quietly whispered to herself as she looked up at him: It was none other than Drake Blackmore.
Other than that disappointing finish, Drake loved his warm up, and he was ready for more. He was pumped to say the least. "Yoooo, Dellamorte, came over here to tell you that you were sick back there with the telekinesis." Drake at least guessed that it was telekinesis. Merely because he had so much experience with the power. Not using it, but one of his sisters has the power copied. He quickly planted his rump on the table. Drake was purposely avoiding bragging since, well, his actions did that for him. "You wanna get up and do some real training? Me and you, I can show you a few team up moves me and my sister came up with. It'll be great."
Nothing came out of Amimoore's mouth. She had merely turned away from him in a attempt to get him to go away. She just wanted to be alone.
To say the least, Drake was disappointed with how Amimoore responded. With silence. That's not fun. He wondered why she seemed to lack overall enthusiasm... Oh. Yeah, right. The incident last night. She still must be mulling about it. Which is a shame since he hated when people refused to move forward. Then again, Drake couldn't begin to understand the agony Ami must have felt. "Oh, yeah, still must not be feeling so hot since last night. If you want me to go..."
"... That'd be nice."
With a shrug, Drake left, getting up off the bench. If she didn't want him here, then he'd go somewhere else. If she wants to wallow, then he'd let her. Drake was probably going to find someone like him. He walked around the training room, staying out of the way of everyone else. He was looking for Val, or Abe.
Carmen 'Lily' Santo.
It was a relief. The warm up session had finally ended. She can sit down, because she's even less willing to train than before. She just walked over to a bench and laid her body down on it. Hoping that Jesse or Merry is around somewhere.
Ray Judah Drager, & Dexter 'Rush' Chertok.
Joke? You did say to warm up... Suddenly, Ray found it much more satisfying when Adam seemed obviously annoyed as hell. It made him smirk. But he knew that bursting out into laughter would obviously implicate them. So he just walked off when the group dispersed again. Ray nor Rush were interested in practicing, so they just found a bench, and sat down on it. They tried to sit away from everyone else. So that they could chat privately. This was standard procedure, even before they came to this academy. Stay away from the nosey ears, and have a chat. "So the triumvirate has gathered. The brains, the muscle, and the technology." He was talking about the group he and Rush were in with Jasmine. With the roles he mentioned were fairly obvious. "So, did you find anymore people you'd like to recruit?" Ray asked Rush. He wasn't sure who he wanted. But Rush had a better grasp on the school than he ever did.
When Ray asked the question, Rush was in the process of sending all the footage recorded by his suit to his laptop. He was typing on a tiny keypad at lightning fast speeds. Before he could finish, Ray asked him that question. This was a tricky question, since there were plenty of people he could recruit. But wasn't sure if he really wanted to. "Still assessing footage. Will take time. Anyone in particular you saw? May have information on them." Ray pulled out a device that was hidden in his suit. It seemingly was an Android phone that had so many other components attached to the back of it. Wires of all types ran in and out of it. He started madly typing into it.
There was plenty of time to watch what everyone else was doing when Ray was doing nothing but stand there, and deflect balls. He saw a wide amount of powers in action, and some of them seemed quite powerful. Maybe get them. But first he wanted information. "What about the guy who did the energy show... The son of one of the power instructors?"
"New student. Lack of information on him. But is Adam's son. Powerful, but flashy. Too flashy. Likely runs risk of ruining operation." Rush answered like a machine.
"The big guy who was skating on ice?"
"Valery Arsov. Longtime student at the Academy. Ran into him. Several times. Unlikely to help us. Concerned with 'other' matters. Such as women."
"The one-eyed chick shooting lasers?"
"Unknown. Will need time to get more information." Rush answered.
"The dude who made a cabin around him?"
"Same issue as before."
"The two chicks that made the shadow dome around themselves?"
"Vespera and Cassandra. Had limited interaction with them. But heard of them. Intentions. Morality. Goals. All ambiguous. Could be of help to us..."

Len - Len sighed in annoyance when he heard his name called. He was sitting next to Bre, so when he got up he gave her a nod before walking over towards where he was called. He hoped that the training the were about to do wasn't destroying the Eyes- they couldn't be destroyed by the average human, and if the fighting didn't involve a human nervous system, that's what he was. Average and normal.
He slowly approached Leon- the teacher who seemed to be around 31 years old. He had done some killer dodge moves, if Len remembered correctly, when the turrets were hacked. When the turrets were targeted at the students, however, Len had spent most of his time goofing off with Bre. 'Wondered if they had been paying attention to him. He looked at Leon, expression bored.
"So what're we doing?"
- Bre -
"C'mon, Len! Do awesome at whatever!" Bee called as Len left for training. When she was sure he wasn't going to look back, she turned around, eyes darting around the room. She had a feeling Rush was behind the turret hack, but she also had a feeling Len would have been annoyed with the guy if he had known. She, however, wasn't. She saw him with some other guy outside the crowd, sitting down and talking. Breaking grinned and walked forward, playing with her sunglasses.
"Hey,Dex-.... Rush!" She called, tempted at first to call him by his normal name, as she remembered him being called "Dexter" at times from teachers during role call. She walked up to the two, grin still present. She waited to get closer before saying, much quieter so that no one else would hear, "Nice job earlier- the look on Adam's face.... priceless. Next time, however, do something that doesn't make it obvious for what the meta culprit's powers are."
- Ene -
Ene sighed as she sat down, rubbing the temples of her forehead. She hated training, already. She was clueless on everything, and was wondering the majority of the time if she was getting graded. If so, she was going to get an F. She couldn't help it, though- everyone else's powers were so cool and extravagant and then they were training with them and it just made her panic. She sighed, leaning back on the bench. It was going to be a long year.

Jasmine
So now the most boring few hours of the academy had begun. Jasmine sat at the side of Rush opposite Ray and listened to his deductions while she came upon her own. She figured that it would give her something to do at least, so for a minute or so she was silent. This is what she came up with:
Spoiler:
Subject one. Name: Drake Blackmore. Son of Adam Blackmore, the power instructor. Ability: plasma manipulation. Threat level: Class 4. Weakness; explosive gasses, methane, high concentrations of oxygen. In short, blow him up. Projectiles useless. Control of abilities: borderline he almost turned this room into a supernova. Attractiveness irrelevant stop thinking like a human. Sarcastic comments + not getting off of the floor = bully on the block. Coward who pretends to be brave fear of father but lust for popularity. Deduction= wants to impress his father. DO NOT RECRUIT
Subject two. name: Valery Arsov longtime student. Ability: premonitions + ice manipulation. Wants to be called old man winter irrelevant. Threat level: winter eye is odd. Class...4 moderate threat. Weakness: heat, obviously. Prankster, exchange student from...Russia. Oh fun. Have to get to know him someday to learn more about Russia.KGB=no stop thinking like an American. Not enough class to dress. Hairs on jacket=...squirrel. Likes animals ew. Prankster...no, too happy. Teddy bear= enjoys sentimentality doesn't want to change things. Deduction= Not serious enough for this. DO NOT RECRUIT
Subject 3. Name: Gabe Valos. Valos=rich meta human family. Money stems from: irrelevant. Power: Laser manipulation. Now that is a nice power. Threat level: Class 5. Highly dangerous power. Weakness: mirrors and family ties. Very rough in nature. Eyepatch=fights or eye surgery she's wearing a full length goth jacket. fights. Doesn't mind getting roughed up. Family loyalty twin=Jake Valos. Valos is...very interesting. Raging racist but useful soldier. Headstrong; keep an eye on here. Deduction= Recruit.
Subject 4. Name: Jake Valos. Gabe's sister. Same rich family same loyalty. Power:illusion creation sounds fun. Could be useful. Package deal with Gabe. Deduction=must recruit to keep subject 3 happy.
Jasmine looked over at Rush "No no yes yes." she said "Drake is a daddy's boy and Valery is too easygoing. The Valos family, however, is interesting. The laser chick can provide extra muscle and the log cabin boy can create illusions. They could both come in handy. They are Gabriella and Jacob Valos."
Neal
Neal smiled and followed Megan to the private training room to begin the session. He was well-acquainted with her and felt comfortable using his powers around her, since he couldn't hurt her. When they arrived in the room, Neal made the bow vanish and crossed his arms over his chest.
"So what would you like me to show you first?" he said "Combat or art? My combat has improved but my art..not so much."
Titus
Now there was actually a challenge to all of this. These robots would be hard to break, something that Titus hadn't come across in quite a while. He rolled up the sleeves of his jacket and cracked his knuckles loudly. Now it was time to get to work. He approached an eye and punched it square in the center of the pupil, sending it flying across the room and crashing into the wall. he roundhouse kicked another and sent it flying the opposite direction. A third he grabbed and threw to the ground, shattering one of the floor tiles. He roared with laughter and stomped on the eye that he threw to the ground.
"Not so tough now, are you!?" he said as he stomped.

Abraham Gene
To restrain his smile and quite clearly amused expression was a feat in itself - one that he happened to elect not to achieve if either out of lack of commitment or care of how he was thought of or looked upon. He wanted to stay on the good side of the staff, but damn that idea if it would keep him from having fun and laughing at their expense every now and again. Despite the sticks that were ever-so-firmly lodged up their asses, Abe knew deep down that it was a pretty fun joke. After all, who didn't love a joke? Losers - that's who - and he was enriched with enough wishful thinking to hope that he wouldn't utterly be surrounded by losers, a faith that had come to be challenged when he figured out he was among the few to find the expense of the teachers amusing. It came to be a horrifying realization to him: a huge handful of the students here were massive sticks in the mud. This of course excluded individuals such as Drake who no doubt poked as much fun at the situation as he could. He could only see a couple of smiles throughout the crowd.
When Adam had drearily addressed the crowd, the procedure was set out before them. They'd be taken in three at a time for private assessment, much to Abe's chagrin. So he had only been wasting his time? Damn, he could've easily shown off during the warm up! Fortunately, he wasn't among the three to be chosen just yet, leaving him and the rest some time to practice in the room here... with Seth under control. God damn, was he the teacher's pet? Should he ought to challenge him to a match and open him a can of whoop-ass? Look at him there too, so smug. Whatever.
When the three students and three teachers had left for their assessments, business had continued as usual. Students split up to practice with each other, including the eye-patch gal Gabe with this other person. It was hard to tell if they were a boy or girl, but let wishful thinking compensate for that and default them as female. Easy enough. Needless to say, their combination was impressive. While Gabe's lasers from earlier were quite flashy and powerful, this one maneuver blew them out of the park. It dwarfed them in power, brightness, radiance, luminosity, and working with her partner topped it off with a cherry as they managed to catch the laser and put it in a stasis where it glowed warmly. Her power must've had something to do with light - and it left Abe wanting to do some of his own stunts. There was also the sudden crashing of one of the Eyes nearby being pounded down by a large Scottish white guy - actually somewhat intimidating to a degree, being one of the largest guys he has ever seen. But came with him was also annoyance as well as a loud mouth. Obnoxious, head-strong... usually he'd think him a pretty cool guy, but this dude was over the top. Despite his size, Abe measured him up to be nothing more than another obstacle he'd have to rough up if the guy ever got in his way. He turned his head to look for someone familiar, his eyes capturing Drake, who was being turned down by the screaming Amimoore girl from last night. Poor guy lacked a refine touch, didn't he?
Honestly, Abraham wasn't sure what his power and Drake's power were able to do in synergy. He played with rocks and punched things, Drake turned into a match stick. Regardless, he had to share his ability with somebody, and who better than his own team mate? There wasn't a doubt in his mind that he'd attract a bit of attention. It wasn't as bright and shiny as Drake's fire or Gabe's lasers, but it was... definitely unique in its own way. He has never been beaten in a fight before, so that had to say something about his capabilities.
"Yo Drake!" He called out with a smug smile on his face as usual walking at an energized pace towards him. His voice was full of confidence - more than usual. "Since the assessments are private and all, I won't show off very well there. How about we do a little bit of practice together right now, eh? Show these bottom feeders what we're made of before it's our turn to go in."
His hands were at his side, beginning to clench tightly as he psyched himself up for some real warm-ups.
*
Jesse Sutor
Some warm-up. He thought monotonously to himself. The warm ups were tedious. In the sense that they were long and unproductive, serving mostly as a means for the others to show off and Jesse was left awkwardly avoiding getting hit as he thought to himself. Really, he was hardly warmed up all. If he'd been doing any of what the others were doing, he'd probably be having cramps. He listened carefully to Adam as he briefed the students of what was going to be happening after the embarrassing mishap with the turrets. It was simple enough, three people at a time. Hopefully the training would be done and over with in no time.
His eyes wandered the room, momentarily caught up by the incredible display orchestrated by the eye-patched girl and Sage, the one he had met yesterday along with Leon and Lily. It was impressive to say the least, stunning even. And then there was Jesse, with no notable talent in just about anything. How sad.
He found Lily sitting on the bench by herself. She seemed curious as though looking for somebody. Considering how they were now team mates, he might as well accompany her. He made a steady pace towards her, continuing his thoughts about earlier. Amimoore was a psychic, that was obvious. She had telepathy. She tried to use her telepathy on him before the apparitions went crazy. Aside from her gross intrusion on his personal space, he couldn't think of anything peculiar that could have set them off. It had to be linked to that telepathy like Lily said, but on a much smaller scale. There was questions he had to ask himself, questions such as how did telepathy work? Did she hear his thoughts or see his thoughts? It had to be some form of hearing his thoughts, otherwise she wouldn't have had to go through that pain. That meant the screams, or at least the apparitions they came from, had to be linked to him in some way, not just being received by the sensory organs. It had to be a direct assault on the mind. He didn't know how that could've linked to Amimoore, he didn't know the nature of psychic abilities. But it had raised new questions about the things that he sees. They attacked his mind, but... how?
"Hello Lily." Jesse chimed as he approached her. He tried to put up a friendly smile despite his disconcerting thoughts. Fortunately, the more he thought about the topic concerning his abilities and the situation from last night, and the more he reasoned with it, the more he felt at ease. Even if only a little. "Were the warm-ups boring for you too? Everyone else seemed to have fun with it, especially whoever messed with the turrets... though there really isn't much that I'm capable of, personally." There was that moment of precognition earlier. But that wasn't precognition, not even close. They forwarded information to me. Somehow the apparition managed to communicate with him, something that had never happened before and something that he didn't know how to replicate. It made an already confusing situation even more complex.

Arianna Madrigal
Arianna was slightly irritated. What the hell was she suppoesd to do against turrets? Sing at them? She mulled it over in her mind and supposed maybe she could use her power that directly, but it would take a lot of juice and certainly wear her voice out for the real challenges, which seemed to be coming up. She was glad her little song earlier had made Amimoore a bit happier, although she seemed to have gotten separated from both Ami and the twins since then. Oh well. Arianna, a bit unaccustomed to being the outsider rather than the center of attention, nervously stood in the center of the room, humming quietly to herself.
Valery Arsov
"No stupid jokes in class? Oh, you are killing me," Valery muttered under his breath-and in Russian, too, just to be sure Adam didn't decide to take it out on him. Mr. Blackmore, you've known me for years. I am not smart enough to redirect turrets. Besides, I have way funnier pranks. Usually they involve super glue. Then, it would seem, another chapter was written in the book of Drake's daddy issues as Adam knocked his son flat on his ass. Were it any other student, Val would've been indignant, but he figured family matters weren't for him to get involved him. Drake seemed a bit pissed before he transitioned into his usual cocky self. Val couldn't blame him-he wouldn't have liked to have been shamed like that, but he also felt Adam might've needed a bit more wind to knock him down. Heh.
Somewhat zoning out of the usual instructions-Val had heard them several times before-he took a good look at the Eyes. Hmm. New models this year. Val had a feeling they were regulated against temperature, but he still maintained his power could immobilize them with time. Machinery is not built to withstand extreme cold. With enough effort, he could whittle their internal workings down, or at the very least fog up their optics something fierce. In other words, the Eyes didn't catch his interest. One zoomed by him and made Val flinch back, and for a split second, his eyepatch shifted loose, a wisp of silver light peeking out from underneath. Val quickly closed his eye and slid the patch back into place, but he had caught a glimpse of the room. Huh. Foreboding.
Looked like Drake was currently striking out with that Amimoore girl, if her body language was any indicator-hey, I've been there buddy. Some hoss was going to town on the Eyes, and Valery idly sized him up, which was a fun recreational activity. Somebody bigger than him had come along. Good thing I am not teenage girl. I might be insecure about that. But then Abe and Drake, who was done striking out, met, and Val figured that he should probably be a part of a team meeting if he didn't want to get left behind. Lazily, he stood up, and strolled over, leaning into the conversation and resting his arms on their shoulders as they talked. Val wasn't much for personal space, but you couldn't say he ignored you, either.
"I would be careful showing off, personally." Val said, a rare serious tone underlying his voice. "Call it...intuition," Val said, jerking a thumb towards his eyepatch, "But I have the feeling we are being watched. And not by the teachers. Not that I do not mind a little friendly competition amongst students, but I am not convinced everyone here is so friendly, yes?"

"Impressive." Ray has to say. Maybe it was smart recruiting Jasmine in the first place. If she has such expert detective work then exposing the headmaster for what he really is, will be easy. Ray was going to follow through with her advice. And hopefully it won't backfire in their faces. "I'll take your word for it. But we shouldn't bother them until after class. They seem occupied." He knew it would be a stupid idea for them to go around... Who's this chick? Ray thought to himself as this other random chick popped up. No problem, just find out what she wants and send them on her way. He can safely say that nobody wants to talk to her...

She walked up to the two, grin still present. She waited to get closer before saying, much quieter so that no one else would hear, "Nice job earlier- the look on Adam's face.... priceless. Next time, however, do something that doesn't make it obvious for what the meta culprit's powers are."
Something about the prank... Perfect. This is a trap, Rush. Don't fall for it. Ray's facial expression turned to an irritated scowl. He knew exactly (Or had an accurate guess) what Bre wanted: She was going to pretend that she knew, then rat them out to Adam and the rest of the teachers. Meh. Pulled better tricks. Well, he wasn't having any of that. He knew that Rush wouldn't fall for it.
Of course, Rush got the same idea that Ray did; he knew that this was some kind of trap. Especially after what Megan pulled on him yesterday - Which was the exact same thing they thought Bre was trying to pull. Fortunately, Rush could easily take advantage of the new students here. Just make her assume that there's another technology Meta-human. She can't know ALL of their powers. Hell, it could even be true. His technopathy is impossible to trace back to him without a power like Adam's. "No. No. No. Not behind this. Won't use power. For such stupidity. No. Just not me. Possibly new student. Yes. Pull pranks like this. First day. All the time." He spoke in a quick, monotone, and emotionless manner. With no changes in tone or pitch. It'd be hard to if he's lying.

"Now, if you would follow me." Leon said as he exited the training room. They walked down hallways after hallways, and made it a short distance to the private training rooms. These training rooms were exactly like the big one that they were just in, in terms of appearance. Except much smaller. He was in the room directly across from the one Adam was training Jake in. Leon walked to the center of the room with Len in tow. He had his arms crossed his chest. "We are going to do the usual; run some tests on your ability. First your power is pain manipulation, correct? That'll be a tough power to run tests on... Uh... Hm. Think you could demonstrate it." Leon put his hand on top of his other one and tightly pinched his hand, giving him a bit of pain. But this is far from the worse pain he's felt while working here. Then he put his hand out for Len to grab.

A warm smile crept up on Megan's face. Since Neal was already a long time student here, these tests should be brief since they already ran them several times before. They already explored a great deal of his power, so all that was left is logging any improvements or changes. "Ah, you know the drill: tell me any and all changes in your power and I'll happily write it down. And while I would love to see your cute little sculptures first, let's see your combat skills." Megan pulled out a remote similar to the one Adam uses, and pressed a button. Coming out of the trap doors was three turrets, and they all were fixed on Neal.

Competition. Yay. Exactly what Drake was really asking for. He was pumped for some real action, for a real man like himself. Because getting shamed like that in front of everyone made him look like a real woman. What can they do? Spar? Cause a big ol' lightshow? Perhaps set up a better prank than what those losers did. Oh, even the thought of doing something to use this energy up sounded fun. "So whatcha wanna do, to one-up everyone. Spar? Nah..." A cheeky smirk crept on Drake's face as he closed his eyes and shrugged. "That just wouldn't be fair. You'd need to call in like ten more people. To... Ya' know... Make it fair."

When Val approached, Drake looked over his shoulder at him with a curious look on his face. He did know that eyes were on him, in both good and bad ways. There were those two weirdo girls that he met last night at the poker match. He knew glares like that never had the best of all intentions. He observed the room, like what Val said really made him think of things. Drake looked at Titus. The maniac that was throwing turrets and other things around. He did know that one of them landed pretty close to Lily, Merry, and that sickly chick. If it had hit them, well, Drake would have thrown Titus into the ground before he even threw what happened. Because, with all that size, it only makes him a bigger target. "Yeah, I get the feeling you're right, Val... But..." Now Drake was in a bit of a conflict. "... What's the worse that can do wrong?" Now you've jinxed it, moron.

Everyone else seemed to have fun with it, especially whoever messed with the turrets... though there really isn't much that I'm capable of, personally."
"And annoying..." Lily says, blowing puffing air out of boredom. The thing that she wanted the most was for this training session to be over and out of this suit. Because the more she was in it, the more she hated it, and the rest of the school. "... It's all one big d*ck measuring contest where the boys try to figure out who has the biggest verga. I mean, no one has the concept of subtly. I just learned what ten different peoples powers are and could be plotting..."
... That reminded her. She still needed to explain a bit more of what happened yesterday to Jesse, she just gave him the short and sweet version. Now that they have privacy and time... It'd be a great time to explain what happened in depth. "I should explain to you what happened better." She sat up in the bench and looked directly at Jesse. "You may have already... Figured this out, but I can understand powers on a level that most people understand their powers. Like Drake's power isn't truly that flashy plasma form, and those two back there with the light show control light in their own ways.... So on..." Lily could have went on and on, but choose to be quiet about it. "I can understand your Apparitions, you called them... More importantly, I can help you understand them."

Bre -
Bre squinted her eyes behind her sunglasses, looking at the two. She noticed a girl off to the side. Rush didn't seem like the type to pull a prank, but... maybe he did? His denial only confused her. She had been certainhe was the culprit- he didn't even laugh when everyone else was laughing at the teachers! It's like poking someone and when they turn around, you look at everyone but the person poked, making it obvious you poked the person. Oh well- guess she could play along.
Bre sighed before replying, "If you say so- I was just congratulating you. I mean, it all made sense- the lack of laughter, power, and I had another friend who suspected. I told that friend he was wrong, though, because I knew he would alert a teacher. I guess he was wrong. I guess I'll continue searching, then. Well, see you guys later," as she said, "Later," Bre pulled down her sunglasses a bit to reveal her bright red eyes, glancing at the trio before turning around to walk off, a smirk on her face. Even if she was wrong, just thinking of their reactions was funny.
- Len -
Len gave Leon a bored expression. Really? Was this a joke? He had blocked the pain of broken bones before- this was nothing. He reached forward and Grabbed Leon's hand, easily blocking the pain. He kept the bored expression on his face.
"Are we done yet?" Len frowned, trying to rush through the session. It was so annoying. "I can try to punch myself, if it will speed this up."
- Ene, Kynan and Jaylin -
Jaylin and Kynan had found an interesting way to "train". They had merged together- Kynan in Jaylin's body- and were just walking around, trying to strengthen their telepathy by reading minds. They happened apon Ene.
Aw, she feels uncomfortable, Kynan- we should talk to her!
She feels uncomfortable because of powers! Let's unmerge, first. ' 'kay.
The two unmerged as Ene looked up, Jaylin first to speak. "Hey!"
"Um...hi?"
"I'm Jaylin and he's Kynan- who are you?"
"Ene."
"Nice to meetcha! So what's up?"
The conversation continued smoothly from there.

Abraham Gene
So here came Val and the team was back together again. He had arrived in time to hear his suggestion to Drake, hopefully to join them and pitch in on the fun. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, giving out only words of warning regarding showing off. His intuition was appreciated, albeit, he felt, unnecessary. He hadn't a care if he were being watched, by the students no less. In fact, that was part of the point in their exercise, though not entirely. That aside, he doubted any of the students were cold and calculating enough - let alone intelligent or cunning - to watch their practice and use that knowledge they have of them against them. This wasn't a school for super villains after all, most of the brats here were fairly timid and wanted to know how to use or control their abilities. As for himself? It felt more like a juvenile detention center for him. Abe turned a blind eye to Valory's indispensable wisdom.
"Oh please," Abe scoffed, although in good nature, "what have we got to worry about, man? Join in on the fun!"
His ears perked at Drake's suggestion and immediately he turned around to face him. His body surged with adrenaline fueled energy as he pressed his knuckles against each other, his feet antsy, and then... the challenge. Between target practice, sparring and prank-setting, sparring sounded the best. But he made the mistake as soon as he suggested Abe needed back-up. Did Drake really say that? Oooh boy, this was going to be good.
"Oh, you really think so little guy?" Abe taunted in turn. His smug grin was still stretched on his face, so the taunt wasn't hostile. "Come on then hotshot, let's do some sparring!"
The excitement in his voice was easy to hear, and perhaps he was a little headstrong in his words as he backed away for some distance between him and Drake; but he felt rightfully so and that he had reason to be. He felt somewhat sorry for Drake, the fight would end only to bolster his own confidence. He didn't know his weaknesses, which would be interesting, but Abe wouldn't be able to lose. At worst, perhaps a stalemate. Perhaps. It depends on if they're able to do any damage to the other.
"Shoot me!" He yowled to him, dropping into a stance as he brushed his dreads out of his face and tied them behind his head (much like that of a ponytail fashion). Hit feet were dug into the ground and his posture was perfect. Anyone with training or experience in martial arts or even fighting in general would be able to identify it.

Jesse Sutor
Jesse laughed softly to himself at Lily's comment regarding the CENSORED measuring contest as he watched the other students practice. She was right about one thing: a lot of these people lacked subtlety. A lot of the powers here were flashy, or at least were performed that way. Sage and the girl shot and caught a massive laser, Amimoore caught everything around her and turned it into a shell, this one guy conjured a wall and shot at the turrets with a temporal bow, and then there was Drake that practically turned into a star. He did find one thing odd though: Abraham. His attitude and disposition seemed akin to Drake's, which is why they probably got along so well. But the difference was that he didn't show anything off yet. Was he biding his time or was he playing it smart? That was the scary part, Jesse thought. The activity in the room seemed to die down as he watched Abe act all excited and started yelling some things at Drake. He payed it little heed, not expecting a whole lot to be coming out of it.
Then Lily started explaining her power a little more, about how she knew more about the others than most people. The way she knew things was slightly creepy, but it was also amazing. Incredible, even. Then she started talking about him. About how she could help him understand his power. First it made his mind a whirlwind of ideas and hope, but following it was suspicion and doubt. How could she help? How could she know what his powers were without any hard evidence of there being one?
"How?" Jesse sighed. "How can you understand them? As far as I'm aware, you can't even see or hear them."
He felt a little bad saying what he did. It wasn't horrible of course, it came off a little agitated and confused. He spent a huge chunk of his life being tormented by them and being the only one to see them, and yet here sat a girl that claimed to understand them more than he did, and that was only after meeting her last night. It was frustrating to him. Jesse apologized. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come off as rude. I'll take what help you can give me."

"Nice stance." Drake says, with a cocky grin on his face. He was happy that Abe was so enthusiastic, but even more happy that he'll be the one to put him down. Drake was happy to spar with Abe. He has taken down several powerful Meta-humans before in the past, and now isn't any different. But he didn't know of his capabilities, and Drake knew that ambiguity in fights called for caution. Good thing this wasn't a real fight. Drake was going to go without the full transformation, because he nearly roasted the whole room. Not something that'd make him friends. Drake's hair, eyes, and hands exploded into a small cloud of plasma. When it faded, it revealed that the aforementioned parts of Drake's body were now made out of a whitish-green plasma. Heating up the area around them. With plasma-charged blood flowing through his body and glowing brightly through his skin. Drake pointed a hand at Abe, and made a finger gun gesture, and put the foot on that side, a step forward. He aimed his fingers at Abe's chest. While Drake could probably mess Abe up here, he was going to be gentle. Just this once. A small ball of plasma, followed by a trail of the stuff, came out of his finger tips, and went flying towards Abe. It was hot. Hotter than any fire that the earth could produce. But still a small amount. On impact, the plasma would disperse.

"Haha... Yeah, it will." Leon says, in response to the comment about Len punching himself in the face. It would actually be funny if he really did, as unprofessional as it sounds. The only thing that Len would accomplish by trying to rush was make it much longer than it should be. "Nah, I still have a few questions to ask. No need to rush, you know." Leon says, looking down at his clipboard. It would be difficult to train an ability like Len's, so he's going to try and learn everything he can do. "Now, I need to know everything you can do. Can you inflict pain? If so, what kind? Would you feel pain if you lost concentration? What was the worst pain you tended to?"
Adam Leo Blackmore.
After a few minutes, the assessment of Jake Valos was completed, all off screen. Jake did well, was patient, cooperative, everything that Adam liked everyone else to do. Unfortunately, the next person would probably be much worse. He walked back into the main training room, right next to each other. Adam nodded at Jake, and watched him walk off. The next up on his list was Titus MacArthur. The large fellow that was tossing turrets and Eyes around. Hopefully he will contain himself while he gets assessed. "May Titus MacArthur come next?"
Jake Vin Valos.
Hmph. That assessment wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. Jake walked he eyed the room. He didn't see Ene anywhere. But he certainly saw Gabe, Jaska, and this gender ambigious teen. Apparently they were training together, and Jake really didn't see any way for him to stick himself into the scene. So for now, he was going to find someone else to chat to. Jake looked around, and saw some chick (Arianna) standing in the center of the room, long after everyone had left, humming to herself. If there was anyone who wasn't in the middle of anything, it'd be her. Jake slowly approached her and said to her, "Oh, hey, I'm Jake." He greeted her. Not the best introduction, but he didn't want to sit around and watch Gabe and Sage play with lasers. "So uh, how was your warm up?" This was a stupid question and he knew it. That warm up was only for those who could shoot lasers and stuff.

Lily frowned, she didn't exactly appreciate the comments, but his apology made up for it. She did understand why he had doubts, but for this to work out, he had to trust her. Because her opening up this much about her own power was a blessing to begin with. If he didn't have utter faith, then it'll be hard for her to help him. "Look, like I said, I can understand powers at a level most people can't. It's... Apart of my gift. But that's all I'll tell you... Let me try something." Lily focused on Jesse for a moment, and temporarily disabled his powers for a few moments, just to see what'll happen. Hoping that it'll make a difference. The apparitions will come back in a few moments. "... Anything different happen?"

Len sighed as Leon asked about the extent of his power. He disliked talking so much about his power, but Leon seemed fine with it- obviously because he had done this several times before. Len leaned back in his seat before explaining his power. He was about to talk more than normal.
"I can block other people's pain and my own pain. I can also transfer my pain. I have never tried transferring someone else's pain, though. Whatever pain I woud feel when passing it to someone else is what they would feel. If I got burned by fire and tried to pass the pain to someone who can't get burned because they control fire, they would still feel the pain of the burn I endured." Lenpaused before he continued speaking, "As for the exact extent to which I can block and transfer pain, that's unknown. I once almost recieved a concussion- there was an accident with some farm equipment. I didn't even realize I was concentrating on blocking my pain, though, until my step mom noticed. As for blocking other people's pain... my step brother once broke his leg. I was able to block his pain until we got to the hospital, but it took more concentration. So it's easier for me to block my own pain than it is someone else's." Len yawned, his expression still bored as it was before. "And I need to concentrate to block pain, yes, and if I stop the pain returns."
- Ene Jaylin and Kynan -
"So what's your first day here been like, Ene? Met anyone?" Kynan asked, sitting to the girl's left as Jaylin sat to her right.
"Well, I've met a few nice people- Jake, Gabe, Jaska, and Sage, but I don't know about being called friends yet- more of acquantences," Ene nodded at each person she mentioned as she spoke.
Jaylin's face lit up. "Oh! We know Jaska- he's awesome! And Jake is talking to our friend Arianna! Let's go talk to them!"
Before Ene could reply, the twins began pulling her along towards Jake and Arianna. "Hey! Ariana! Meet our new friend Ene!" Jaylin called, an embarassed Ene in tow.

Rush's antics were cute. So he thought this girl was a threat of some sort, a trap maybe, sent by the teachers to find out who pulled the prank. Jasmine could tell that Bre wasn't a threat at all so long as she kept her sunglasses on. The sunglasses were an easy enough deduction; why would someone wear sunglasses inside in the winter when it was cloudy outside when they obviously were not blind? Answer: their eyes are dangerous to look at or are very sensitive, and considering the probability of someone having a power exactly identical to Leon's, it was highly probable that Bre's eyes were dangerous. Jasmine assumed that her gaze could either burn people like Cyclops' powers from X-men, or that she could paralyze people. Jasmine smiled deviously and looked up as Rush began to babble about being innocent.
"No, that was me." Jasmine said, holding her hands up comically "I was behind that prank. I got into the wiring and reprogrammed the turrets to fire at the teachers because I wanted to see how a proper superhuman deals with the imminent threat of high-powered plastic balls." She was curious as to this girl's reaction to it. Whatever it was, Jasmine was sure she would be able to handle any possible threat with ease.
Neal
Spoiler:
As the turrets popped up, Neal cracked his neck loudly and stepped up towards the first one. He smiled deviously as the three turrets turned towards him. Neal enjoyed power training, as they gave him an excellent opportunity to show off his abilities. Now it was time to show Megan exactly what he could do.
"As you wish." he said. The turrets began to fire, and Neal conjured a seven foot clear wall between himself and them The projectiles bounced harmlessly off of the wall and ricocheted around the room. He shoved the wall and it went flying at the first turret, running it over and smashing it against the wall. The other two turned towards him, and he conjured a large spartan-style round shield on his left arm and a six-foot scythe in his right hand. Neal spun the scythe thrice in his right hand and charged one of the turrets. Just as he reached it, he jumped and use the shield's round surface to roll over it. He swung the scythe fluidly and sliced the turret's gun clean in half. The detached section loped off and hit the ground. Neal spun once more and threw the shield at the last turret. It smashed the turret's sensor and bounced off of the wall across from it. The shield bounced between the walls like a pinball and ricocheted back, hitting the turret once more and knocking it over. Just as it reached Neal, he disintegrated both the shield and the scythe and summoned his whip. He cracked the whip at the turret and, wrapping it around the gun, pulled and threw the it against the wall. The turret smashed against the wall and fell to the ground, where it burst into flames.
"Are you impressed yet?" Neal asked, smiling.
Titus
Just as Titus was about to throw one of the eyes against the ground for the fourth time, he heard his name called. He let go of the eye and walked over to Adam, who seemed to have just finished with the boy who could make a cabin appear in the middle of a battlefield. Titus tried to look as polite as he could, but still came off as imposing and generally angry.
"I'm Titus." he said, extending a hand to Adam "Nice to meet you sir." Titus was trying to be as polite as he could, as he wanted to make a good impression on the trainers. After seeing everyone else's powers, Titus was concerned that his would be lackluster, and so he wanted to come across as a good guy as well as a formidable opponent.
Eli
At first, Eli was taken aback by Leila elbowing him. It burned as well, meaning that he was correct; the demons had returned. Eli nodded to Gabe and Jake politely and then turned to Leila as they walked away. They must have been sitting there for quite a while, as the room had changed completely.
"I forgive you." Eli replied "I didn't know you were so sensitive about it. Would you like me to try and exorcise them again?" As Eli said this, his eyes began to glow slightly, and a halo of light appeared over his head. These demons were angering him. They preyed at Leila's innocent soul and tortured her constantly. He closed his eyes, and could hear their snakelike voices taunting her. He didn't know how she could deal with them all the time. In his mind's eye, Eli saw a snake slithering towards him across the floor. It was an anaconda, but yet he knew that it had a deadly pair of fangs that could easily kill him. The snake slithered along the ground until it came to Eli's feet, and then it hissed at him and spoke with the voice of the demons.
"Get behind me, Satan." Eli whispered at the snake as it reared up at him, rising to be at equal height with his neck. The snake hissed at him but waited, as if it needed a cue to strike.

Bre turned around to face the girl, a mischievous smile on her face. So, this girl was the one who set up the prank, then? Bre straightened her sunglasses, a serious expression present on her face. "Is that so...?" She took a few steps towards the one who had confessed to the prank with the turrets. "You, my friend, are...." she stood in front of the girl, examining her carefully before finally saying, "Awesome!"
Bre began laughing, "Seriously- it was priceless, seeing their reaction." After a few more seconds of laughing, Bre stopped, whipping the tears out of her eyes that had emerged from her fit of laughter. "Really- good work. I'm Bre, by the way." She turned to face Rush, then. "Sorry, but it made sense for you doing it- I mean, when everyone else was laughing you just turned away. That's like not looking at someone after you poke them- they can tell it's you because you look everywhere else in the room except at the person. Then there was the matter of your power, of course."
Turning towards the girl, she asked, "So who are you?"
