Merry had agreed to leave the dorm with Lily to go off and find something entertaining to do. It hadn't taken them long to locate the student lounge, something Merry hadn't know existed. She had heard about teacher lounges but never ones for just students. At her old school the teacher lounge was some sort of mysterious place, but in reality it was just a crappy old classroom with a microwave and a mini fridge. Maybe these student lounges are just a private school thing. Once they were in the student lounge Merry had looked around at the group already there. These kids, for whatever reason, gave her the creeps. They seemed like the type to get in trouble. But Merry mentally punished herself, it wasn't fair to judge them by the way they look.
Even if one of them had an eyepatch.
Merry stood to the side when they all began to play poker. She had never played before and was scared of embarrassing herself or losing her money in a bet. However the game was rather exciting to watch, it must take a lot of skill to win. Obviously this Drake guy was really good at winning, or cheating. As Merry watched from the corner of the room, playing an electronic game, she couldn't help but wonder who these other students were and what sort of powers they had.

Dexter 'Rush' Chertok.
After the door opened, Rush immediately closed his laptop to tend to his new room-mate. He didn't exactly like having room-mates, merely because of Rush's various habits tend to. Mostly when he starts working on his various inventions, and things get super loud. Or when his room-mate touches something unfinished and gets electrocuted to the point of brain damage. Plus, Rush has this little revolution to. Hopefully, this time, they'll reach a nice compromise and won't have any problems. When Len walked in, he was examined. Well, the first thing noticed by Rush was the electronics he had on him - Merely because such electronics resonate with him. A handheld gaming console, a flashlight, and a phone. You can tell a lot about a person from what they carry in their pockets. Rush could tell that Len was a gamer of sorts... He could have easily gathered much more information by digging into his phone, even his gaming system, but, he would give him some degree of privacy. Until Len proves that he requires a bit more research. Other than that Len is pale like a person who never leaves his computer. Not too much else was really paid attention to by Rush. "Yes. Expecting you." Rush speaks, peering over to the side of his bed where he had placed his inventions. Other than one obviously looking like a gun, the rest were rather unremarkable. "Nickname is Rush. You should know name. Nicknamed likely omitted." Rush then heard a beeping coming from his laptop, an audio notification that he got a reply to his email. Probably from the Man in the Mirror - Not too many email Rush. He wanted to go read it, but he was in the dark about Len, and what his power may be. Rush didn't want risk it.
So the plan was to have a little chat, and grab his computer and head somewhere else. His computer can operate just about anywhere there's wifi. There's plenty of it all over the school. So finding a hotspot should be easy. "Your side is over there. Do not recommend touching any devices. Last person suffered... Permanent damage. Hope we get along fine." Rush warned Len, since he doesn't want any problems. Rush had obvious appeared anxious, since he wanted to see what his first instructions were from the man in the mirror.
Carmen 'Lily' Santo, Drake D. Blackmore, Gabriela M. Valos, & Jake V. Valos.
There were few things that could slip from Lily. Meta-humans were one of them. Because of her ability to sense Meta-humans she had already sensed Merry when she had walked in. Lily turned her head towards Merry, and looked at her for a moment. Lily wanted to add Merry to the mix, merely to connect a little better. She didn't know if Merry was into things like poker, so she doubted if she wanted to play or not. Plus, even if she is into poker, she could be better than Lily! Well, Lily is already losing, so why not lose to four people instead of three. "Hey, can my fri- room-mate, Merry, join the game?"
A happy grin crept up on Drake's face, then he arrogantly spoke, "Sure. Of course, she should be ready to take one one hell of a loss."
"Long as she isn't good as Drake over here." Gabe says with a bit of fiery sarcasm in her voice.
With a shrug, Jake spoke, "I'm fine."
After getting approval from everyone else, Lily stood up out of her chair, turned to Merry and called out to her, "Yo, Merry, wanna play?"
Amimoore Black Dellamorte.
One of the other people in the student lounge was Amimoore Black Dellamorte. She decided to chill in the lounge opposed to heading straight to the mansion. She wanted to speak with more of the students, especially the new ones, and possibly form some bonds. Most people generally avoided her because she was the headmaster's daughter (And a great deal of people don't like him), so she felt a little shunned, at times. Amimoore was on the other side of the room by the window, looking out at the heavy snowfall that she's already long used to. Her left leg put over her prosthetic leg. Waiting for someone to approach, and keeping an eye out for trouble.

Len nodded at Rush, "Yeah. 'Didn't have my nickname either." He glanced at Rush's side again. Was that a gun? Oh, great. Of all the people to get stuck with, he got the one with the gun. As long as it didn't kill him, maybe. Len walked over to his side of the room, taking Rush's advice on avoiding stuff, though a small smirk was on his face as he thought about getting hurt. If push came to shove... He would have damage, but not suffer it. Len dug trough his stuff and the first thin he did was tape a few posters from different places on his wall to add in some personality to it. As for clothes... He don't really care. Mostly just shoved them in his drawers. After taking out a few more things (he made sure to keep his cellphone and game put away, honestly afraid of Rush wanting to add in some sort of thing to them or something) he turned around to look at Rush again, running one hand through his short, pale blonde hair. He couldn't just walk out of the room or something without so much as a word to him. Len needed to think of something to say, so he said the first thing that came to mind. "So, uh... Power?"
----- Jaylin and Kynan -----
"Do you see anything of interest?" Kynan Johnson asked, an impish smile on his face.
"Nothing so far. Haven't even seen Len anywhere," Jaylin replied, holding a smile that matched his brother's perfectly.
Kynan nodded, putting his hands in the pocket of his New England Patriots sweatshirt, and Jaylin did the same and placed his hands in his Denver Broncos sweatshirt. The two were walking around the Academy, examining different places. It was then that they peeked around the corner and looked at the students lounge. Jaylin looked at Kynan, his impish smile turning into a grin as they began their telepathic conversation.
You thinking what I'm thinking?
Kynan quickly hook his head, No! Well, yes, but... They're older! And who knows what their powers are! If they catch us they'll...
Catch, shmatch! Jaylin shrugged off the statement, Please? It'll be fun to use our powers in public for once! We can now, right?
Kynan hesitantly nodded, holding in a sigh before his grin returned, Let's win this!
Kynan slowly stepped towards Jaylin and a strange, chilly feeling washed over the duo for a moment before their senses returned to normal, Kynan seemingly no longer present. He and Jaylin were just talking away in each other's minds, though- mostly pointless poker strategies of some sort. There wasn't any hint showing that there was more than one person present when one looks at Jaylin. The only way someone could probably tell is if they could sense powers or people in some way, whether through telepathy or some other method.
Jaylin stepped into the room, looking around at each of the people. The one that stood out the most to him was the purple haired girl- Lily was her name, apparently. Then there was Drake, Gabe, Merry, and Jake. Jaylin began to walk towards them when someone else caught his eye- a woman who was just sitting there.
who's that?
Kynan wasn't sure, but he liked the idea of finding out that more than going to the group of olde kids. I don't know. How about you go find out?
Jaylin walked over to Amimoore and slowly raised a hand, giving her a friendly smile and wave. Let's see, how to greet her? "Hey. I'm Jaylin- 'sup?" Jaylin then spoke to Kynan in his mind, Couldn't think of a good greeting?
Our minds are together now, so technically you couldn't, either!

Dexter 'Rush' Chertok.
While Len was digging through his stuff, Rush had unfolded his laptop, and as he previously guessed, it was a message from the Man in the Mirror:
RE: hello wrote:
Good. Before you begin, you need a team. I suggest recruiting Jasmine Cheng, and your long time ally Ray Drager has recently started attending the school. I will leave the recruitment up to you. Add whomever you feel will contribute. But keep your numbers low as possible.
Good luck, and contact me when you're ready.
Ray Drager... The man that was Rush's closest friend and longtime partner, has finally been invited to the 218, which was shocking. It filled him with a twinge of excitement - But that excitement quickly turned to paranoia. How exactly did the Man in the Mirror know that Ray and Rush were friends without some heavy duty hacking...? There were plenty of other technology oriented Meta-humans in the academy, which were his greatest fear. The perfect counter to all his cyber defenses. Nonetheless, he was going to see if this man's claims held up. He was going to recruit Jasmine, which he knew would be difficult. Jasmine and Rush rarely encountered each other, but he's heard plenty of stories by digging around people's electronics - Well, they could be exaggerations and all that. So he'll see. The only other problem would be finding other people to recruit. Rush isn't social at all. He knew people only by invading their privacy. Perhaps he'll find some people who dislike the headmaster, or maybe Jasmine will know someone. Only time will tell. But his reverie was broken when Len asked him a question.
Celo wrote:
"So, uh... Power?"
This was a tricky question. Rush was the type who'd keep his true potential ambiguous as possible. Then again, anyone savvy enough would easily put together that he's a technology Meta-human because of all the scrap. Obviously Len was not one of them. He was hesitant to tell his true power to begin with because his ability to easily bypass any cyber barriers and gain all sorts of information... People enjoy their privacy at all costs. So Rush put together the perfect plan. "Technology Meta-human. Can build devices. To an extent. Need pre-existing materials." That was all Len needed to know. "You? From time spent here. Learned there are plenty of powers. From enhancing mind. To control over nature."
Amimoore Black Dellamorte.
Celo wrote:

Amimoore turned her attention to the young boy that had approached her. Giving him a nice warm smile. "Hi, I'm Amimoore. The daughter of the headmaster." It was habit for Amimoore to tell new students that she was the headmaster's daughter. Merely because it was something that people needed to know. She hadn't expected someone much younger than her to approach. Usually the younger students stayed out of the way of the 'big kids.' Unless they were planning some sort of prank or something stupid. She didn't exactly want to be the butt of any stupid pranks - Nor did she want to get paranoid. Since she's gotten her telepathy, it's become hella easy to learn things about people, and find out people's intentions. Though she knew that somethings she probably doesn't want to know, and was a bit hesitant at times. Regardless, she probed into his mind. What she found was interesting. While he had no intents to prank her, there was sort of a 'second mind' within Jaylin named Kynan. Apparently this boy has the power to merge with other people.
She sent a simple message to Jaylin and Kynan telepathically, hoping they'd be smart enough to catch on.
Hi Kynan.

Merry didn't expect to be noticed or confronted so quickly and easily. She never called for much attention growing up, and found sneaking about rather easy. She looked around the room, anywhere but towards the pairs of eyes looking at her. And well a single eye. Merry again mentally punished herself for staring at Gabe. At this point Merry realized that Lily had almost referred to her as a friend, before correcting herself and calling Merry a roommate. That was almost enough reassurance to Merry to feel like she hadn't completely messed up her introduction and first impressions with the girl she would be spending a long time with.
But she still wanted to know her power.
Merry slowly allowed herself to make eye contact with the other students sitting at the table. They seemed a bit hostile, like a group of bad guys from a movie, but not completely horrible. Maybe playing with them would be a good chance for Merry to get to know some of her potential classmates and maybe loosen up a bit. Merry node quietly to Lily, taking a seat at the table. "I've never played poker before. Is it easy to learn?"

Len smacked himself in his mind. Duh. He should have known. Then Rush asked him about his power. This was a truly question for him, as some find his power "morbid." Rush didn't seem like the type who would, luckily. And the guy had heard tons of powers, too, whih was good. Len hadn't realized he was takin a few moments to answer until that moment. Why was he trying to find a way to word it? The guy didn't care. "Pain manipulation. I can numb my pain and also transfer it." Well, at least he was beginning to talk to this guy more than everyone else in this dumb place. They were still just acquaintances, however, and Len wasn't going to become sudden buddies with him.
------ Jaylin and Kynan ------
Okay, this girl is the headmaster's daughter. That mean we have to be nice?
Yes, Jaylin- do you know what trouble we'd get in if we did a prank on her any time soon?
True...
"Thats a fun name Am-" Jaylin's sentence was cut short by the girl's voice in his mind.
Mr Allen J wrote:
Hi Kynan
Jaylin's thoughts began panicking. Oh crap. Are we done for?
Jaylin calm down!
Maybe we just imagined it! Hold up- let me read her mind... I can't. Oh. Well... She's reading our mind right now, isn't she? Hello there!
Well, No use hiding it, huh, Jaylin? Guess we should've played poker instead.
Kynan slipped out of Jaylin's body and both for a moment felt a quick chill before their bodies returned to normal, neither of them thinking of everyone else in the room that could possibly be watching. Kynan stepped forward, holding out a hand or a friendly handshake towards Amimoore. "I'm Kynan. Nice to meet you."
Dude, why you acting so formal?
Because she is the headmaster's-
Whatever. Hey, Kynan, think we can play a prank on her later on? She seems fun. Her name is, at least.
she could still be reading our minds...
Oh... Hello again!
Kynan and Jaylin both held in a laugh as Jaylin said hello in his mind, both thinking that their conversation sounded funny when just listened to. Jaylin grinned at Amimoore. "So... 'Sup?"

Jesse conversation with Leon had wrapped up rather well, and no further questions were asked after Jesse started heading off towards registration, which in itself was pretty simple. It mostly consisted of confirmation of his information: his name, birth date, social security, and a number to call and address to mail to (along with the zip code) in case either was ever necessary. In return, Jesse was given a key and room number, thus leaving him to his own devices. Unfortunately, he was never given direction and it took him nearly forever to find the room! By the time he finally found it, his roommate had already situated himself and set his belongings on his side of the room, leaving Jesse still unaware of who he is rooming with. Still though, he should learn who by the end of tonight. He wasn't in a rush to get himself situation - all he did was pack his clothes away in the dresser that was provided to the students, as well as other possessions of his. He slipped a small cash box behind some jeans in the bottom drawer, which was brought in case there were items that had to be purchased within the school. Sliding the computer bag underneath his bed and slipping his phone in his pocket and walked out the door. From what he gathered, most of the students should be meeting up at the lounge, which should be where his bunk buddy is.
The way back was much less complicated, as he got an idea of what the layout of the school was like. He first walked back to the main room where all the students first congregated and got directions from there. It was simple enough, further increasing his understanding of the school. The school looked like a ghost town in comparison to the masses that were clotting the hallways earlier - the presence of the apparitions only added to that effect. And now with less obstructions, he could see how many were truly here: they were everywhere. He couldn't help but wonder if they were following him as a focal point or if they were honestly omnipresent across the globe. What is their purpose? Do they even have a purpose? These questions and all of its variations plagued his mind.
Walking absentmindedly had almost resulted him in completely walking past the student lounge, which would've been lost to him if weren't for the loud ruckus of the dozens of students within. He stuck his head in, observing the room and all the features it had provided to the students. It was actually a pretty cool place, even if its charm was diminished by all the commotion within it. It had a television and gaming set, some sofas, tables for card sets, board games, and a myriad of activities that students could engage in.
Finally, I made it to the lounge. Jesse thought. Seems a little crowded.
Hands shoved in his pockets, Jesse meekly made his way across the room, typically in an isolated corner with a chair or sofa. Some place for him to sit and observe the room. Whereas his appearances screamed background, his disposition made him stick out like a sore thumb - he was clearly uncomfortable here and he wasn't very good at hiding it. He was mostly one to hang out with one, and at most, four other people at a time. He didn't handle the whole party kind of crowd very well. But of course, just observing everything here wasn't so bad either. It gave him some time to assess who the other people were, and what kind of people he should or should not be around. He caught a couple glimpses of some people - goth looking people, which generally unnerved him just a tiny bit, and maybe one or two people with an eye patch. That of course was very peculiar. One person, maybe, but at least two people in a school with an eye patch seemed odd. It made him wonder how they lost their eye. Though assuming they didn't want to talk about it, that was fine too.
With one of the eye patched students, the female one, was a group of kids playing cards. Among them was the girl he had met with Leon. Lily, was it? Yeah, that sounds right.
Walking up to her to say hi again for a more appropriate introduction might've been a bad idea though. Considering she already seemed integrated with a group, that group not looking too friendly for the most part. Though you never could judge a book by its cover, Jesse wasn't in the mood for taking chances. Much of the others that he could discern from his angle looked kind of ordinary for the most part. The only other bit he noticed were two kids that looked like young twins talking to a girl about his age. She look kind of tom-boyish, almost reminding him of one of his old close friends.
Now would actually be a fairly good time to look for his roommate. Jesse just might as well figure that his roomy has a better idea of who bunks with who, so being the stand out that he is, hopefully the guy will be able to find him. For now, he just might as well relax.
It's not like I'll be able to find him here. Jesse thought. His eyes began to trail one of the apparitions floating about. Maybe. I wonder what they can see.

Jasmine
At seven o'clock, Jasmine decided to take a little walk around campus. It was odd for her to do this, as normally Jasmine stayed cooped up in her room or in the library where she spent a lot of her time. But for some reason Jasmine decided that she actually wanted to be in a place where she could be forced by society to be social, something that Jasmine did not want to be. Yet somehow she found herself leaning against the window at the end of the hallway on the second floor of the dorms, looking out at the falling snow. It was quite pretty, the snow; it spiraled slowly and gracefully towards the ground. She could see the shadowy figure of Neal heading out through the snow towards the art department. That boy was absolutely obsessed with his artwork. As usual, Jasmine had a cup of vanilla bean coffee in her hand, this time in a hard-plastic Starbucks travel cup. Soon she heard footsteps, and discovered that a very strong being was approaching. She could feel Eli's aura with her ESP from all the way down the stairs, and he was heading towards her. Her convictions were assured when Eli stepped into the hallway from the stairwell and turned towards Jasmine.
"Hello there." Eli said with a smile on his face "I'm Eli Vaughn, a new student here."
"Jasmine." she said, still looking out of the window as if disinterested with Eli "Nice to meet you."
"Who's out there?" Eli asked, looking out of the window.
"This guy named Neal." Jasmine replied "He's a student here who is absolutely obsessed with sculpting."
"Oh okay." Eli said "So out of curiosity, what's your power?"
"That's a rather personal question." Jasmine remarked, sipping at her coffee.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Eli replied, looking down "I didn't mean to insult you. I'm just new to this power thing."
"I was kidding, actually," Jasmine replied, smiling a bit "but you are forgiven. All people around here can talk about is their powers. I have extrasensory perception, which is how I found out that you were coming and that the scarf you're wearing was bought for you two years ago by your now-ex girlfriend but you still have feelings for her as you two went out for a year and a half and you believed that you loved her until she decided that she would much rather date a mister Damien Sparks and therefore cheated on you." Eli stopped dead in his tracks, shocked. How did she know all of that when they had only been talking for thirty seconds?
"Oh, sorry..." Jasmine said, looking over at him rather nonchalantly "I do that sometimes. It's the ESP. I have trouble controlling it." Eli was going to back away and go somewhere else, but something told him that she really was sorry despite her nonchalant demeanour. She was good at hiding her emotions.
"I forgive you." Eli said, mirroring her from a moment ago "That's a cool power."
"Thank you. So what's your's?" Jasmine turned around to face Eli now, actually interested by the conversation. Eli looked up and sighed. He didn't like showing his power off because it always hurt people, and Eli didn't like to hurt people.
"Um, I can't actually demonstrate my power." he said "If I did you could get injured."
"Well then explain it to me." Jasmine crossed her legs and leaned against the wall, sipping at her coffee.
"Okay, have you seen the movie Ghost Rider?" Eli asked.
" I vaguely remember it."
"Okay, so do you know how he can stare into people and use their sins as a weapon against them?"
"Yeah."
"I can do that." he said "Basically, I can look into a person's soul, see their sins, and then punish him or her for them."
"Fun." Jasmine remarked, imagining her enemies going up like flash paper "I'll have to call on you whenever I want to get rid of someone." The two began to converse at the window, something that neither of them were good at doing or accustomed to.

Leila Gabrielle Septim
A girl was standing out in the cold.
How did I get here?
Leila closed her eyes with enough intensity to strain the skin around her eye sockets, struggling to remember how she got here.
Cold out here. Not that you'd feel it. Even you must admit one of the advantages to our symbiosis is enduring nights such as these. Pride, a clone of Leila dressed meticulously and standing with perfect posture, surveyed the falling snow with a gentle grin.
No. No advantages. None at all. You're poison.
Are we? Sloth yawned while rolling up what appeared to be a snowball-as it would turn out, it was the base for a snowman, albeit a very small one. Sloth didn't have to stand up to construct it, sitting and looking...content. It was Leila with a gentle grin and, well, some people can just look relaxed, carefree, and Sloth-Leila was one of them.
Stop. Which one of you brought me here?
You know it wasn't Lust. You're clothed.
And she's not having enough fun for this to be one of our little jaunts.
You know it wasn't Sloth. You actually went somewhere.
Sloth grinned and accepted the insult without any rebuttal, humming to himself as he rolled the next orb.
You know it wasn't Envy. You're wearing the same clothes.
A real shame. I think the Amish have oustripped you in terms of staying up to date with fashion.
You know it wasn't Wrath. There's still snow falling.
Wrath didn't bother saying anything, leaving a rather eerie half second of silence in her mind.
You know it wasn't Greed. I'm sure he'll enlighten you as to why.
Going out in the cold with minimal nutrition and minimal shelter is a poor choice. Extremely taxing of your resources when the most this academy has to offer is indoors. Retreating out here would only be advisable if your immunity to the cold could be-
Yes, whatever. You know it wasn't Gluttony, because you're not in the cafeteria
Gluttony stayed silent as well, but sent a pang of hunger through Leila that made her legs waver for a moment. No hallucinations there. I really am starving.
And you know it wasn't me because I would never lie to you, Leila, and I'm telling you I didn't.
Yeah. Sure.
Leila, love, have you merely considered that you yourself came out here?
No. You're lying. It was you. Leila opened her eyes and looked around the twilit campus, breathing hard. The air misted up before her but she wasn't aware of the cold, only felt an uncomfortable heat that rippled off her as the temperature dropped. How did I get out here?
Two teenagers are at a window nearby. They may see you.
I don't even care anymore.
Valery Arsov
"You little bastard! You cheat!" Valery said, throwing down his controller in mock rage. Frost had gathered on the analog sticks, but it quickly melted away. The other guys he was playing with continued to laugh at him as Val stood up and stretched-being thrashed for a half hour straight at Brawl tends to leave one a little restless. The lounge had, however, filled up with students. Ah, hopalong, principal's daughter! I'll avoid talking with her. I think if I make her mad, they will actually kick me out of this place. There was a girl with a rather cute laugh who must've been new, Val didn't recognize her-something about her voice was pretty, but Val was for once more concerned about his roommate. He still hadn't run into him yet. Oh, hey, eyepatched girl!Probably still in such a delightful mood. Especially because I think she is losing at poker to my friend Drake.
Huh. The room really was filling up. Valery navigated the crowd, loudly having to utter "excuse me!" and, to those he was more familiar with, "Hey, get out of my way" usually followed by a very empty threat. And of course, stopping to meet everyone he didn't recognize slowed him down a bit too. Eventually, he broke through the jungle of social anxiety that was the student lounge and found some kid sitting by himself off in the corner. Val, doing his best to grin and look easygoing (For some reason the eyepatch and Russian accent makes first impressions difficult. Perhaps I should look for career as movie villain if my gig as ice cream truck driver falls through.) approached Jesse. "Hey, this seat taken? I need a minute to clear my head. I haven't heard this much English spoken in a whi-hey, you're new, aren't you? My name's Valery Arsov." he stuck out a hand warmly.
Arianna Madrigal
Having taken a while longer than most to get situated in her dorm ((with, uh, whoever she's rooming with)), Arianna was a bit late to the student lounge. Walking down the halls from her dorm, she hummed quietly to herself, hardly aware she was doing it. It was an upbeat, happy tune, and the school's lights seemed to glow a little brighter as she walked by, the colors of the wallpaper stand out a bit more sharply. She was hardly aware of it, instead a little more focused on a variety of differing emotions in her. This...this was the furthest she'd ever been from home. She wasn't homesick, exactly, but still. It was really strange being someplace so unfamiliar, so different. Arianna knew she'd adjust fairly quickly-everybody here seemed friendly enough.
Finally stumbling across the student lounge, Arianna couldn't help but grin, pushing back some of her hair behind one of her ears. The room had a pulse, a vibrancy to it. The swirl of emotions, from boisterous laughter in one corner, near the television, to the friendly tensions rippling off the poker table, it all hit Arianna like a dozen different songs coming a dozen different speakers. Her mind picked up on all this rather subconsciously-she wasn't looking for any of this information, not actively processing it, but she could feel the rush that came from a hundred teenagers all hanging out, with first-day-of-school tensions melting and friendships being made. It sounded good. Smiling, she moved through the crowd, slipping past a big eyepatched guy, and then missed a few notes of the room's cacophony as she tripped and fell.
Arianna got up laughing, before she saw what she'd stumbled over-having turned to move past Val, she hadn't noticed Amimoore's outstretched leg. "Oh! God! So sorry, I didn't hurt you did I?" Arianna asked, glancing back and forth between Amimoore and Jaylin. Weird. These two weren't even talking but the music was dancing back and forth just as if there was. Not that Arianna really noticed or cared-she was more worried about having hurt the poor girl with the hurt leg.

I wonder if I can make it work. Jesse thought, taking watching the apparition near him. He was too preoccupied by his thoughts to see Valery coming. It was only when he heard the voice of guy, prompting him to look up and witness a rough around the edges sort of guy. His accent sounded Russian - which he found somewhat interested if it were real, as some people tend to fake their ethnicity, which was generally stupid. As he got a better view, he could make out his shape and finer details, such as the beard on the lower half of his face and the eye patched that adorns his face. The hard features that were practically plastered on his face, however, definitely indicated some Russian heritage. His eyes darted between Val's eye patch and his good eye. The introduction was so abrupt, Jesse was caught off guard and was initially confused by his question.
"Huh... oh, oh! Yes, yes I am. My name's Jesse." He staggered at first in reply before accepting Valery's handshake. "And, uh, no, nobody is sitting there."
Valery, eh? In America, isn't that girl's name? Not that he had a problem with Val or anything, and he certainly didn't want to insult his culture. Different places have different lifestyles and different names after all. Jesse was sure he'd get used to it and besides, the guy seemed really friendly. He would normally take the stance of "don't mind me, I'm just sitting here", but in this case, the more people he meets the more likely he'll be able to pin down his roommate and get out of here before he gets a headache. Though on the other hand, he could always just call it quits now and meet him in the morning. But that would ruin the fun of it, wouldn't it? It was too early anyways. There's no way he'd be able to sleep now.

Ray Judah Drager, & Sage Lucas Pimm.
Spoiler:
After spending a short amount of time here, Ray Drager went for a little stroll around the academy. Walking around the place slowly, taking his time. He wanted to get to know the place, but the more he saw, the less he actually liked the place. To him; this island is one big prison. Somewhere where he has no where to go but a circle, when things went wrong. However, he shrugged off those thoughts and continued walking. Finally, Ray found his way to the top of the walls of the academy. Easily one of the highest points in the place. He stood there, overlooking the school and everything else within his gaze. His clothes made him seem like a black figure in the distance, over the school. Which was fine with him, he liked being in the shadows. Ray watched the snow fall all around him. It relaxed him. Made him feel peaceful inside. But he knew that wouldn't last long - But for his own well being, he decided to try to keep himself optimistic. Strangely, no snow touched him. It was pushed away from himself. So it landed somewhere around him. Forming a sort of bubble where there were no snowfall. He looked down at himself, it was so dark out that he couldn't exactly see what he was wearing. But he was certain that he knew what he was wearing. Ray was wearing a black heavy coat, because it's frigid on this island, and he doesn't want to be too cold. He had a black and white, diamond patterned, scarf around his neck. Since it's night out, Ray didn't wear his sunglasses, he had them stuffed into the pocket of his coat. He had on blue-jeans, and black boots on, with his black leather gloves. Looking like an utter badass - Or someone trying too hard to be one.
As Ray looked down, a shining light in the distance illuminated the area. It got brighter and brighter, to the point where it appeared bright as day. Ray quickly turned around to the source, and put his arm out over his face. Trying to block the light. He had no clue what it was. But just in case, a thick, blue, wavy aura had surrounded himself. Readying himself for a fight. However, it wasn't threatening in any way. Almost angelic. In fact it was.
The source of the light was Sage Pimm, the Heavensent. In it's glorious angel form, massive wings widespread, feathers gracefully falling, and a halo over it's head. It's Angel form produced an overwhelming light. There was no darkness, as it was forced away. The light could be seen from quite a distance - Though, if some are aware of Sage, they should know exactly what the light is. Sage just finished taking one of it's usual flights around the Academy's island every night. It was just about to crawl into it's dorm-room and get ready for bed. It only stopped when it spotted Ray. Approaching slowly (So Ray doesn't get startled), Sage got to the wall and shifted out of it's Angel-mode. It's wings, halo, and light all faded away. It was several meters above the wall, and once it shifted out, it slowly descended on to the cold concrete of the wall, and without injuries. With the light gone, the darkness quickly moved back in. That made it quite uncomfortable, with the darkness dancing on it's skin. Though, it would try it's best to ignore it. Sage turned to Ray and says, "Hey, um, what are you doing up here so late? Aren't you cold?" Sage spoke, the darkness made it near-impossible to see each other. Only outlines.
On the other hand, Ray actually liked the scene being dark. Not being seen, and not being able to see your guest. Though Ray got a good glimpse of Sage though all the light and darkness. It appeared heavily like a masculine girl, as Androgynous as they get. Hmph. He wasn't the kind of guy to judge. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just coming out here for a breath of fresh air..." Ray says, as he looked around. Though, he was only seeing snow and nothing. He was on guard. Just in case Sage attacked.
Noticing that it can't see at all, Sage decided to take matters into it's own hands. It put it's hands together, like it was holding an orb. Then a ball of pure light formed out of nothing between it's two hands. The light quickly floated into the air and started shining brightly, allowing both of them to see. The light was heated too. It emitted a warmth that melted some of the snow, and made everyone feel comfortable. The light could be seen from quite a distance. Sage is still dressed in the same clothes as earlier. Since Sage's inner light provided it with warmth, Sage was barely bothered by the cold. Though, it still stayed dressed up as possible. Still intended to appear modest as possible. "Okay. I was just checking." Sage says, putting it's hands together in front of it.
"Thanks." Ray says, getting a good look at Sage, and the area around him. He was still pushing the snow away. Since with the warmth of this light above them; that snow will turn into rain. Which is worse than snow here. "I'm Ray Drager. A... Newcomer here." Ray reached into his pocket and pulled out a carton of cigarettes. Putting one cigarette in his mouth. He was about to light it when he stopped himself. He has a guest. Despite his constant, none-to-please attitude; he still had a bit of courtesy.
Sage nodded it's head. Blonde hair strangely shiny, a side-effect of it's power. Plenty of light was being reflected off it's hair. "Sage. Glad to meet you." Sage looked and saw a girl in the distance standing alone in the snow. It was a bit curious. Before it could depart from Ray and jump down, Ray asked a question.
"... What was the lightshow when you showed up? Thought the sun was falling." Ray says, his tone blank and gruff, but had a bit of playfulness in it. Only the most observant would notice it.
Turning it's head back towards Ray, Sage answered, "Oh... That's my power. I am the Angel of Light..." A pretty good way to summarize it's power without going into detail.
Thought they called the devil that. Ray thought to himself. Giving Sage a narrow glare, before letting up. Regardless of how nice he... She... It, seemed, Ray wasn't going to tell a stranger he just met his power. Didn't want people to know what he's really capable of. "Hmph. Isn't that interesting."
Their conversation went on on-screen after this.
Dexter 'Rush' Chertok.
Rush didn't find Len's power morbid, or scary at all. More along the lines of impractical. Pain a necessity. Tell when repairs necessary. He thought to himself as he started typing on his laptop before closing it. Discussing powers was never a subject that Rush liked. Because it was always so... Typical. He's in a school for Meta-humans, he expected people to talk of other things other than powers. Whatever. Rush thought that he shouldn't worry about Len touching anything and getting too injured. Only he can wield his devices carefully. "Very well." Rush says, particularly unimpressed. He's already gotten acquainted with his room-mate, and he didn't look like the type to indulge in conspiracy theories. It's best that he gets a move on, since they have little more to discuss. Rush quickly suited up. He got off his bed then stood straight up, he turned his back to Len. He quickly pocketed those grenades, the electronic disruptor, and his little dart gun. Everything he's ever needed when out on the city. It might be less effective against Meta-humans. Last but not least, Rush grabbed his laptop and placed it in a black laptop bag with a strap and slung it over his shoulder. "Now. Have business to attend to. Need me? Then call." At this moment, Rush had put his information in Len's phone. Not for social calls, just in case he turns on something and needs help shutting it off. By then, he should already be burnt to bone. Then he'd really be feeling nothing. Rush nodded and walked out the building. Hoping to find Jasmine or Ray.
The plan was to locate Ray soon as possible, then Jasmine, then see who else will join.
Amimoore Black Dellamorte.

Utterly unphased by what she just saw, Amimoore smiled warmly. She was used to the wide arrange of weird and awesome powers. So this was just another day. Though these two had to be in the weird category. She was still reading their minds, and knew all about their little mental conversations. The brothers obviously seem to have a mental link. Amimoore can tell by observing their thoughts. The more she listened the more. To the point where she giggled a little bit. Humorous how young they are. For a moment, she considered engaging in a mental conversation with them. The only thing would be that they cannot get into her head, her mental barriers make her impervious to all weak/basic forms of telepathy - And it'd look weird if they're just staring at each other without saying a word... Then again, stuff like this happens all the time. Amimoore tried to speak to them telepathically, Guys you two need to relax- Only to be interrupted by some ditz tripping over her leg.

My other leg! Amimoore thought to herself. It hurt. Not to the point where she'll crawl up into a ball in pain. But she'll be fine. "It's fine. Really." Amimoore spoke, trying to not to make the girl feel bad. She quickly glanced over to Jaylin and Kynan, then back to Adriana. It appears that she's now in their conversation. Which was, by all intents and purposes, three people just greeting each other. Amimoore spoke, sounding obvious uncomfortable now, "Uhhh... I'm Amimoore. I'm..." The headmaster's daughter and boy, doesn't this feel awkward for you too? "... Glad to meet you."

"I've never played poker before. Is it easy to learn?"
"... And everyone lets out a sigh of relief! Ha!" Drake says immediately after Merry, leaning back in his chair and kicking his feet up on the table with all his cards in hand. He appeared cheeky, arrogant, and fun loving as always. He was having a bit of fun here. Meeting all these new people. He wanted to have his very own group, and these three were the perfect people since they were all new. Back to the subject of poker; Drake decided to help Merry learn poker. "Alright... Poker is easy as hell to learn, but tricky to master, babe. So listen closely." Drake then put some cards on the table, face down, in a fashion you'd see in casinos. "Basically, you get certain cards and put them together to make a hand. There's a sorta... ranking, I think, when it comes to hands. Basically. The problem I have is remembering each and how much they're worth haha. Sometimes you pull out a straight when you really think you got yourself a flush. Heh." A strand of his hair got in his face, and Drake blew it away. Then he thought of telling her what the hands there are. "I think I'd need to get you a book or something to tell ya how to put them together..."
A impish grin crept on Gabe's face as she looked at Merry, "Don't worry honey, I'll let you win." She says in a near flirtatious tone. It was hard to tell if she was being serious or not. But she was mostly just seeing how Merry would react - For her own enjoyment. She laughed quietly.
Only for her to get a sharp elbow to the ribs by Jake. Who only said, "Cut it out."
"I was only being nice, Jakey. Isn't that what you want?"
Regardless, Lily scooted over and pulled out the chair next to her for Merry. "Oh just sit next to me, Merry, I'll help you learn." Everyone on the table, and beyond, were strengthened by Lily's mere presence. They all would feel stronger too. Which was a minor cause for concern.

Len ---------
Len watched Rush leave the room. Just what was that guy up to? He had no idea. Did he want to fin out? He didn't know if he did or didn't. Len waited a few minutes after Rush left before slowly walking out of the room. Well, he screwed up talking to his roommate. Surprise, surprise. Oh, well. Len stretched a bit as he tried to think of where to go. The lounger would be full of kids, probably. He slowly walke outside, looking around. A bright light was coming from... Somewhere? He walked around the corner and looked around. The light was gone now. He aighed in annoyance. Geez, this place is weird. Len's eyes studied the surrounding area and he noticed a girl (Leila) just... Standing there? Wasn't she... Cold? No, she didn't seem cold. But maybe she was? Wouldn't approaching her just be awkward though? Len frowned. He wasn't really good at talking to people.
For some reason, his feet refuse to listen to his mind and he walked over to the girl, hands in his pockets to stay warm. "Hey, uh... You okay?" Len smacked himself in his mind. First girl around his age that he talks to and he sounds like a dork already.
-------- Kynan and Jaylin --------
See, Kynan? She's nice!.... So can we do a prank?
Not now. She can read minds, so she would know if it was one.
Ooooooh.... Now I get it.
Kynan couldn't help but laugh a little, and Jaylin did, as well. It was then some girl tripped over Amimoore's leg. Kynan winced a bit, wondering if it hurt a lot, and then wondering because of that if Len was anywhere near. He looked at the girl who just came into the conversation and grinned. "I'm Kynan."
Jaylin always knew when to step in for introductions when the two weren't in each other's bodies, and now was the moment to introduce himself. "I'm Jaylin. So..." He pointed at the girl who just came into the conversation, impish grin on his face, "what's your name?"
You could try to be nicer. Who knows which metas you'll run into that'll want to beat you up for having no manners or something?
But she seems nice, like Amimoore.
You have a point, there. She did apologize fr tripping.
See? Maybe you aren't the smart one!
...Ouch. That hurt.
Sorry.... Hey does this school have a gym? What do you think? Wouldn't that be fun?
Oh yeah! That would be fun- wait, where did that question come from?
I dunno.. Jaylin subconsciously shrugged in response as he thought the sentence. He was actually enjoying this- having a conversation in his and his brother's minds with another person in it. It was kind of fun. He turned to Amimoore and the girl. "So, hey- does this school have a gym?"

Jasmine and Eli
Quote :
Two teenagers are at a window nearby. They may see you.
I don't even care anymore.
Jasmine and Eli were chatting by the window when Eli caught something out of the corner of his eye. There was a person standing out there, a girl, from the looks of it, standing out in the frigid cold. He turned to study the girl for a moment; he could see that she was a rather attractive girl, but she wasn't wearing much clothing. She must have been freezing. He tapped Jasmine on the shoulder.
"Who's that?" he asked her. Jasmine looked over at where Leila was standing in the snow. Her name immediately came to Jasmine, as did a few other tidbits of information. She wasn't going to tell Eli everything, however, as there was some very not-nice things about this girl.
"Leila Septim." she said "Seventeen-year-old girl. Awful lonely individual, she is. Doesn't have any friends. She seems to be...hallucinating."
"She must be freezing." he thought "We should go help her."
"I'm not sure how good an idea that is mate." Jasmine replied "It's freaking cold out there, and something tells me she's not the safest person to be around."
"She still needs help." he said. That's when he heard it: a little voice in the back of his head. It was slightly distorted, and spoke with a reptilian voice, like the voice of a snake.
Leila, love, have you merely considered that you yourself came out here?
Eli looked around curiously, trying to find where the voice came from.
"Did you hear that?" he said to Jasmine.
"Hear what?" she replied. Eli looked down at the girl in the cold. Maybe it was a bad idea to go and help her, but he wasn't going to let her freeze to death. Even if it was dangerous, Eli felt that it was his duty to help her. He couldn't just sit up here in the warmth of the school and watch her freeze.
"Nothing." he replied, turning towards the stairwell "Let's go." Eli began to walk towards the stairs to go and get her from out of the cold. Jasmine wasn't going to come with Eli at first, but she figured that she should come so that this girl didn't turn him into roast angel. She reluctantly followed him, muttering under her breath "this is a bad ideaa."
Neal
Neal was trudging through the snowstorm, the drawstrings on the hood of his sweatshirt pulled tightly and his arms wrapped around his chest tightly, holding the warmth in. He was walking to the art center to work on his sculptures. Neal spent most of his time in the art room: so much, infact, that people rarely saw him anywhere else. As he was marching through the blizzard, he caught glimpse of a girl standing out in the snow. The girl wasn't wearing anything that looked particularly warm; she must have been freezing. He turned towards her and waved his hands in the air.
"Hey!" he yelled out "Are you alright?!"

Merry couldn't help but begin to get flustered and blush when Drake says this. She had never been called a babe before, and didn't know if she had done anything to deserve the title of babe. She hadn't made her hair or clothes extra nice that day, or tried to give Drake and sort of sweet and innocent look. Maybe it was just something he did. Or maybe she looked particularity nice looking today, or perhaps Drake was into girls who get mistaken for boys. Either way it was rather flattering.

Okay so maybe Poker was a lot harder to learn then she had hoped. Merry tried her hardest to follow along to his instructions, but found herself getting far too lost too quickly. She knew a few things from seeing poker matches before, like how many cards you can get at a time. But the rest of it was escaping her. There was almost no way for her to quickly learn how much each pair of cards is worth at the correct times, no less all of the other directions and rules to the game.

Merry softly chuckled, glancing towards Drake. "I bet even with that I would be the worst poker player this side of the globe." Merry let out a soft huff, resting her elbows on the table. It all seemed a bit too hard and complicated, Maybe it would just be better for her to sit out and watch the others play. Merry was about to mention giving up trying to learn, when the girl with one eye spoke out. Commanding her attention.
Allen wrote:

Even being called honey was enough to make Merry feel flattered and nervous. But again she was rather flattered. But she didn't want anyone to think she wanted to cheat or get by easily. Merry chuckled, a slight tone of nerves showing. "Oh, there's no need to let me win, that wouldn't be-" She allowed herself to be cut off by Jake and Gabe's arguing back and forth. She was going to push her chair away from the table when Lily suddenly sat down next to her.
Allen wrote:
"Oh just sit next to me, Merry, I'll help you learn."
Merry didn't speak, she didn't really need to. But she did grin to her roommate. It was rather reassuring to know that Lily would voluntarily sit next to her, maybe their friendship did have a chance. Merry could swear she felt stronger, maybe more confident. And maybe she really did. But she brushed it off as no more then excitement to try a game of poker.

Dexter 'Rush' Cherok, Ray Judah Drager, & Sage Lucas Pimm.
After his grand meeting with Len, Rush had made his way through the snowy school grounds. Towards the reception building. If he was going to find out where Ray is, it was going to be there. With a little bit of digging, he'll find out everything he needs to know there. The basic blizzard had slowed Rush down quite a bit, he had his laptop hanging off his shoulder. He could feel it degrading every moment it's out here. The only reasons why he brought it is 1). He wanted to be close just in case he got another Email. 2). He didn't want Len touching it (Even though he got the point across that he didn't want Len touching his devices). Rush looked around. He wanted to be fully aware of his surroundings should some idiotic prankster tries to get a laugh out of it. Or; just in case his exchange with the Man in the Mirror wasn't entirely private... Rush noticed a light on top of one of the walls. It wasn't electronic or mechanical, or else he probably would have noticed it by now. He stopped for a moment to look. There were two Meta-humans under it - Rush was certain that the blonde haired one is Sage, but the other one looked a bit familiar. Wasting no time, he pulled out his own custom-made binoculars, made from hardware and other stuff he stole. He put them up to his eyes and got a closer look at them. By turning a dial, he zoomed in, there he was certain that Ray was here. So the Man in the Mirror was correct after all. With Ray here, he can provide the brawn that Rush lacks, and he's someone Rush can really trust. He put his binoculars away and started walking towards the wall. "Ray!" He called out once he got close enough for them to hear.
Immediately, Sage turned towards the newcomer and pointed one of it's hands towards him. Shining a light on him similar to a search light. Allowing everyone to see Rush. Sage did recognize Rush right off the bat. Since they're acquainted, but weren't that familiar with each other. Though, Sage didn't know what to say since it seems like it was between those two.
Oh, it's the nerd. Ray thinks to himself, with a smile on his face. He was certainly happy to see Rush. Though, he knew that Rush was here for ages now. He completely disregarded Sage. He took a step off the wall, floating in mid-air for a brief moment. A thick, wavy, blue aura had surrounded him as he did so. He slowly descended on to the ground. He landed on the snow with a quiet grunt. Then he put his arms out for a hug - Before remembering that he isn't the type to show affection like that. He put his hands at his sides. "Good to see you, Dexter. Knew that you'd be here." Ray says, putting his hands into his pockets.
"Told you were here. Came to find you. Have much to discuss."
Straight to the business, how Ray likes it. "Yeah. We do"
"Have been contacted. By strange man. Named Man in the Mirror. Tells me of secrets. Headmaster not whom everyone thinks. Must be stopped." Rush says in his usual manner. "Need you. Your brawn. Imperative."
So the headmaster is a scumbag? Ray narrowed his eyes and thought about it. Well, normally he would have backed out of this and not have anything to do with it. But now he's trapped on an island ran by him. Which meant that it's going to be hard just leaving... So since Rush was in on it, he was going to join in. Merely so that he can make his time here easier. "Sure." Ray says, with a shrug.
"Good. Will go over specifics..."
"... Guess I'll just be on my way." Sage said in response to all of this. Their conversation is officially over, and it felt no need to linger as they 'catch up.' It could have gone Angel-mode again, but it felt no need to. Sage jumped high up into the air, and descended slowly that it wouldn't get injured, then jumped again and again. The lights that it got near shined brightly in it's presence, then faded away. Hoping to find someone else to talk to.
Drake Blackmore, 'Lily' Santo, Gabe, & Jake Valos.
Now, once Merry sat down, Lily thought about it; they're basically a team of two against everyone else. Which didn't raise their odds as much as one think it would. Lily was basically teaching Merry how to play - When she didn't even play that good to begin with. But it was more of a bonding experience. Drake started to deal the cards. Giving everyone a few cards. Lily quickly grabbed hers and looked at them, allowing Merry to see. Far as she can tell, she could make a few hands. A Straight-Flush, and a seven-sigh Straight. But Lily decided to take the time to inform Merry of them. She quickly arranged the cards into a straight flush. Lily whispered, to make sure that nobody heard, though she was hoping that nobody'd be that scumbaggy, "See this? it's a straight flush," Lily quickly changed it into a straight. "And this is a straight." She went back to the Straight-flush, because it's worth more. "Uh... This may sound a bit confusing, but the first one is worth more." Then she took a good look at everyone. They were super-humanly unflinching. Drake looked happy and carefree as always. Gabe looked aggressive and refined as ever. Jake looked quite calm and reserved. They have such great poker faces. So it was up in the air who has the best hand.
On the other hand, Drake had almost forgotten something. He, nor anyone else, haven't introduced themselves to Merry. He was still leaning back, and had some poker cards in hand. "Soo, Merry, almost forgot. I'm Drake Blackmore. Theeee Korean Breeze." Drake says.
"Gabriela, I like to be called Gabe. I hope to get to know ya' real well." Gabe says to Merry near flirtatiously.
"... My name is Jake Valos. Gabe over here is my twin." Jake says.
After the twins exchanged glances for a moment, Gabe turned back to Merry and spoke, "So, what are ya' into, Merry? Like what do ya' like to do for fun... I have plenty of things I like to do, but das for another conversation."

Leila Gabrielle Septim
Leila. There's someone speaking to you. Likely wondering why you were out here alone, in the cold.
The rarely-heard growl of Wrath seemed to bellow up from the ground itself, materializing as a vengeful Leila, hair wreathed in fire, eyes wide and feral. Historically, girls alone in the dark don't tend to fare well with strangers...
Shut up go away
"H-huh?" Leila said, looking up, attempting to break out of her dazed state. "Y-yeah. I'm fine. Just, uh..."
Going on a walk. To clear my mind. First day of school has me a little anxious is all.
"Going on a walk. T-to clear my mind. First day of school just has me a little anxious is all. Um, what about you? Out here in the cold...you sure you're okay?" Please don't continue the conversation no you'll start asking questions and then everyone will find out about me and-
Envy filed her nails, sitting cross-legged in the snow beside Leila. Her wardrobe subtly changed to mimic Neal's as the conversation went on. Mmm. Pity you couldn't be normal like everyone else. Not be schizo.
I'm not schizophrenic.
You really think you're possessed, Leila? You really think there are seven Biblical demons living in your head? Maybe, here's a thought, we're all just what you really want. We're really just you, and your schizo little mind-
"SHUT UP!" Leila screamed out into the snow. There was a moment of silence before she realized that Envy was not, in fact, in the snow with her and that screaming at her was not, in fact, socially acceptable. Full-fledged panic set in as she fumbled to think of a rational explanation for why she just screamed at a demo-
yourself
I know a way we can keep him quiet Lust drawled, grabbing Neal by the front of the shirt and delivering what was a very distracting-wait, am I getting turned on by myself-hickey to Neal, eyes glittering with passion. I guarantee you he'll be speechless, Leila. Nobody'll have to know you're crazy.
Just a CENSORED.
Sluts people are nice to. Sluts, people want things from. Nobody's nice to the crazies, Leila. Nobody wants to deal with the insane.
Leila hesitated, trying desperately to think of another solution, but it had almost been two or three full seconds since she shouted, and nothing was coming but a feeble, "Oh...I...that...um..."
Leila, don't listen to Asmodeus. He seeks to twist you. There- Pride began.
Leila. Two more people are coming. Behind you. Greed cautioned, making Leila's gut sink a little lower. Oh no. Maybe one person she could've seduced/persuaded/bribed/silenced/ignored/let be/ingratiated but three, three was
Oh, c'mon Leila. Three should be child's play to you after- Lust teased.
No. Shut up. Shut up I'm not going to do...that.
Yet.
"I'm...I'm sorry I..." Leila fumbled lamely for words, trying desperately to ignore the very enticing solutions her cerebral roommates seemed to be offering.
Valery Arsov
Val grinned and flopped down in the seat next to Jesse. "Jesse, eh? People at reception desk tell me that's my roommate's name...so, if I'm annoying you already, that means you're going to be really pissed off in a couple of months, eh?" Val leaned back casually and prompted his feet up on one of the coffee tables, resting his head back on his hands. "But I'm sure we'll get along great. Pretty much all I'll do is sleep and eat, so you won't have too much to get mad at me for. Where are you from, Jesse?" Val seemed to be both paying attention to Jesse and ignoring him entirely-mostly, because passing women seemed to catch his eye rather frequently, but there was no doubt he was listening to what Jesse said. Val seemed to be both totally relaxed and really enthusiastic-he was slacking off, sure, but he was putting a lot of effort into slacking off. The kid who goes out of his way to procrastinate on projects? That was Val.
Arianna Madrigal
((Yeah I kinda screwed you two over with this but I didn't know where to put her. You all can get me back later.))
Arianna cringed, nervously looking at Amimoore's leg until she announced that it was fine. Really. She visibly relaxed and nearly tripped all over herself ((okay, that was a bad pun)) apologizing. "Sooooo sorry. Oh! Amimoore? That's a really pretty name!" Arianna, although she spoke somewhat airily and ditzily, did seem genuine about it. One didn't get the vibe that she was just saying Amimoore was pretty; she really thought the name sounded nice. "Glad to meet you too! Although, to be honest, it wasn't how I expected meeting my first people here. I'm Arianna, it's super nice to meet both of you." She shook Amimoore and Jaylin's hands warmly, back to her usual smiling self now. The only thing that confused Arianna was that Jaylin shrugged when she hadn't said anything, like he was acknowledging a point, and the music rippling off of them seemed like there were two beats, both completely in sync and totally different. Like maybe this guy had split personalities-or, since this was a school for the supernaturally gifted...
"Oh!" Arianna beamed, lighting up with a "eureka!" moment. "Are you a telepath?" she asked Jaylin, before she immediately winced again. She'd stopped just short of asking "...or crazy?" "Oh, sorry, I don't know if that's, like, rude to ask people here. Never mind. Forget I said anything. I don't know any other metahumans and...oh man. I'm just making a great first impression on you guys, aren't I?"

Neal, Eli, and Jasmine
Neal jumped backwards when Leila practically exploded at him. He was about to run back inside when he saw Jasmine and Eli running out towards them in the snow. He caught glimpse of Jasmine's face, and immediately turned around towards Leila, trying to hide his face. Jasmine was his ex-girlfriend. They had gone out the year before, but some things happened regarding Mel and they hadn't spoken since. Jasmine and Eli approached Leila. Eli started hearing the voices again as soon as he'd walked out into the snow.
You really think you're possessed, Leila? You really think there are seven Biblical demons living in your head? Maybe, here's a thought, we're all just what you really want. We're really just you, and your schizo little mind-
I know a way we can keep him quiet...I guarantee you he'll be speechless, Leila. Nobody'll have to know you're crazy. Whoever these voices were coming from, they were pissing him off. This was extremely strange to Eli, though; he wasn't used to hearing these voices, and they sounded so...sinister, as if they were demons in themselves. He shrugged off the possibility, however. If this girl was possessed, then she'd be acting a lot more hyper. Yet again, she did just scream at Neal to shut up.
"Hello Leila." Jasmine said "Why are you standing in the middle of a blizzard?" Jasmine completely ignored Neal as if he weren't there. Eli, who stood on the other side of Neal, was quite shocked. She was one of the most beautiful girls he'd ever seen. Yet, she seemed almost forbidden. Eli felt both repulsed and transfixed by her. He realized that he was staring, and quickly shook it off.
"Um, I'm Eli." he said awkwardly "Why don't we get you inside? You look...cold." Eli moved to touch her on the shoulder, but he quickly drew his hand back. Touching her had burned his hand. He looked down and from out of the corner of his eye saw the flickering ghost of another Leila sitting in the snow, wearing Neal's clothes. It appeared for a moment, and vanished just as quickly. Something about all of this was very strange.

Leila Gabrielle Septim
Immediate regret, coupled with the overwhelming fear of what was going to happen when Neal told people-a thousand horrible scenarios all played out in her mind all at once, perhaps catalyzed by the demons, perhaps not-surged through Leila. She took a step towards Neal hesitantly, lips quivering and hands trembling (neither from the cold).
Pull yourself together, damnit. You are making us look weak. Lucifer hissed.
"No I'm so sorry I didn't, I have this-"
Then the girl said her name.
She knew Leila's name.
She knew who Leila was.
What else might she know? Greed whispered. It's likely she has some form of clairvoyance. She can read into your thoughts. She knows the truth about you, Leila. The others merely thought you crazy. A little off your rocker. But this girl knows the truth.
No no no no no no
We can stop it, Leila. Amon's voice was steady and powerful, sending the others into submission. And what he said just felt so natural, it made Leila's arms and legs seize up, the voices of the others fade into the background a bit, but the sound of her heart thundering in her ears was suddenly so f*cking loud and she could do it I could just kill her right here and
Then the boy touched her and everything in her skull went to sh*t. The place where he touched her sent a jolt of...pain through her. I use hesitation when saying pain because it wasn't the regular type of pain, not like she bumped into something or burned it. It was that same pain as when your muscles are very, very sore, and you use them, or when you chew on something after having your braces adjusted-where it hurts, but you know the pain's fixing something, so it doesn't hurt quite as bad. Regardless, it caught her off guard, and she let out a quick yelp of pain.
He carries Holy Fire-
Ugh, this is worse than that time with Azrael
Leila, darling, as painful as it would be, wouldn't it be funny to watch him fall, to watch little Eli's faith fail him? We could do it to him, and he would LOVE it the whole ti-
Leila. There is a girl who knows the truth about you and boy who can harm you.
"I..." Leila paused for a second, her head spinning. Her vision blurred back and forth a bit as the demons went out of control, wrestling for dominance over one another (save for Sloth, who preferred to let Leila come to him) and taking up a considerable bit of her concentration while doing so. "I...I just wanted some fresh air is all. And I don't know how you know my name but if you're reading my mind I strongly suggest you don't." Wrath began to seep into her words at the end, how she wanted to make that b*tch pay for daring to creep through her thoughts, how she wanted her screams to echo across the snow as she was burned alive. She wanted it. Leila knew she could do it, none of them could stop he-
No. No. Not doing that. Not going to. "I..." she paused for a second. Neal...Neal already thought her insane
Oh, but we could change that-
You are ruining this, madame, you're making them wonder-
"I am a little chilly. I would like to go inside, yes. Maybe get some hot chocolate or..something." Leila trailed off towards the end, as if she had no idea what she was actually going inside for.
First sensible idea you've had all night Gluttony mused.

Neal, Eli, and Jasmine
"Alright." This girl was acting very weirdly, and Neal didn't like weird. Plus, he would not be able to stand an evening with Jasmine, which was what this was going to end up being. "I'll...be going then. Later." Neal quickly rushed off through the snow towards the art building, trying to cover as much ground between himself and Jasmine as he could.
"Ignore him." Jasmine said "Forgive me for mentioning your name. I have extrasensory perception. I just kind of...know things. Oh and tell whoever Amon is to shut up. Setting me on fire isn't going to shut me up. Trust me." Something made Jasmine think that she was being extremely insensitive. It may have been the death stare that Eli was giving her from the other side of Leila. The stare made her feel extremely uncomfortable, as if Eli were staring into her very soul. She shivered, and looked away from him.
"Now how about we get you inside and get you a nice cup of hot chocolate?" Eli said "You look really cold. Take my scarf." Eli took the greyish blue scarf, his favorite article of clothing, from his neck and wrapped it around Leila's neck caringly. The arctic wind blew and tore at his exposed neck, but he simply buttoned up his black peacoat versus the wind. Eli was going to put his arm around her and lead her inside like any gentleman would, but he thought better of it from when he had touched her. Jasmine let out a rudely loud sigh and rolled her eyes dramatically.
"Eli, would you PLEASE stop staring at her like she's a model in a Playboy magazine?" she interjected "Now let's go before I catch hypothermia and f*cking freeze to death." Jasmine turned on her heel and began to walk back towards the dorms. Eli muttered "sorry" under his breath and motioned to Leila for her to follow him inside.

Len sighed in annoyance and watched the three talk to the girl. Too many people were checking on the her. And then there's the fact he was just completely ignored whenever he tried to ask if the girl needed help. Oh, well. Maybe it was for the better. He turned around and began to walk away, noticing on the the people who confronted the girl run away. He watched him run towards the art building. Huh. That's weird. One less person, though. Len slowly turned around again and looked at the trio, who were beginning to walk away. Maybe he could try introducing himself again. Maybe this time he won't be ignored.
He slowly walked forward, giving an awkward wave to them as he tried to keep in-step next to the girl. "I, uh..." He looked at the girl who he had originally asked the question of if she were okay. "Um... Hey?" Wait to go with socializing. He should've just walk off if his second greeting was worse than his first.
- Jaylin and Kynan -
Jaylin looked at Kynan, both were quiet a moment, speaking to each other in their minds, before they began laughing. Kynan stepped forward to make sure that Arianna noticed him. "You kinda got it right. It's complicated. You see..." He stuck his hand, in a literal sense, into Jaylin's stomach. It came out his shoulder as Jaylin just stood there, impish grin and all. "Me and my brother are connected," Kynan took out his hand and brought his hands down to his sides. "He is a bit crazy, though," Kynan joke, recieving an elbow in the stomach afterwards, courtesy of his brother. Both laughed again.
She's funny, Kynan.
Yeah. I think we just made our first possible friends.
And you were worried about manners!
Well just be glad we ran into the right people. Imagine if it was a mean person we ran into.
That wouldn't be fun....
Yeah.
Jaylin stretched and looked around. "So who else here do you two know? We like meeting new people."

"Really?" Jesse mused. Now that he thought about it, the receptionit did say somethin about a guy, but he couldn't tell due to the racket. It did sound like the name started with a v, so it's very possible that Valery was the guy he was looking for. In which case, it really, truly, is a wild coincidence that they managed to find each other so quickly. But now that he has seen him, he couldn't help but wonder what the rest of his academy year would turn out. The man appeared carefree and warm, which was offset by his gruff outer shell. He looked kind of like the lazy sort, leading Jesse to figure he'd be the one keeping the room clean - but ought not to sell him so short, especially since they had just met. Then came the queston of where he is from. His first thought was to say "born and raised in Florida, live in Pennsylvania", but he was Russian, so he probably wouldn't know what that meant. "I am from the 'States," Jesse replied, "but that's probably really obvious. I'm guessing you're from Russia? Sorry if I'm wrong."
God forbid he got Val's ethnicity wrong, some people get killed for that. At that point he would have more to worry about than ghosts.

Merry watched as Drake dealt out the cards, her excitement growing. Once they had been dealt everyone began to look at their cards, their faces had varied expressions, but everyone was still. It was hard to tell what everyone was thinking. Merry looked at the cards that Lily and her had been dealt, wondering how good the cards were together. She leaned closer to Lily when she began to whisper. Given this, poker must be a game were you don't want anyone else to know your cards. Maybe that was why everyone kept their expressions the same. She nodded to what Lily said to her, still a bit confused. But it was easier to understand now that she could see the game being played out. She wondered if Lily was any good at poker. Once Lily stopped explaining the cards Merry began to look around at the others, wondering what happens next.
Allen wrote:
"Soo, Merry, almost forgot. I'm Drake Blackmore. Theeee Korean Breeze."
The introduction caught Merry off guard, had she really forgotten to introduce herself and learn the names of the other students? She had been swept into their game so quickly there really wasn't a chance to. Except Lily had introduced Merry to them, so that took some of the pressure off of herself. Merry chuckled slightly at the Korean Breeze part, she wondered if it was some sort of bad nickname that he gave himself to sound cooler and more edgy. Or maybe it was a really good one.
Allen wrote:
"Gabriela, I like to be called Gabe. I hope to get to know ya' real well."(...)"... My name is Jake Valos. Gabe over here is my twin."
Merry wondered if she would ever get used to the flirtatious tones used by Gabe, she bet she wouldn't. She was going to make a comment, about how Gabriela was a pretty name, but decided against it. She was never good at giving out compliments without over thinking them. Merry took a second to reflect over what Jake had said, about them being twins. Merry held back a giggle. That kinda came as a shock to Merry, the two were very different from each other. Especially in personality.
"It's nice to meet you all! I was getting kinda bored, wandering around the school, so being invited to a poker game was just what I needed."
Allen wrote:
"So, what are ya' into, Merry? Like what do ya' like to do for fun... I have plenty of things I like to do, but das for another conversation."
Merry tried to ignore the almost suggestive ending to that question, trying to think of a good answer. The last thing she wanted to do was come off as boring or mushy to these people. They almost came off as people who didn't mind doing whatever they wanted, while Merry got nervous when she even thought about breaking the rules or failing a class. "Oh ya' know...stuff." Merry quickly continued, to prevent anyone from getting the wrong idea about her. "Back at my house I did a lot of things on my own..." She scrambled to think of something interesting about herself. "Like read and play video games and study." Her attempts to make herself not look like a sheltered mush were failing.

"From the States? Where, exactly? I've only been here, and I have layovers in New York City when I fly here. Drake, the one at the poker table-" Val leaned over and pointed him out-perhaps unfamiliar with pointing being rude in the States, perhaps knowing and just not giving a sh*t-"said he was from somewhere with lots of hot women. I do not know if that's the official term but that part of the country sounds pretty nice, eh?" Val leaned back, letting his eye scan the various social scenes unfolding, from that girl he bumped into high-fiving a third arm on some guy across the room to the kids playing poker and everyone in-between. "Yeah, I'm from Russia. No need to apologize. I'm actually a sleeper agent, from Soviet Russia. When Comrade Putin phones my orders in, I'll probably have to kill you all." Val paused for a moment before continuing. "Totally kidding. Putin is a d*ck. I'm from Russia, yeah. The cold part. What year are you? The way this school sorts people always confuses me."
Leila Gabrielle Septim
"I...no, wait, don't go, you-" Leila's voice, already somewhat weak and dazed, seemed to trail off as Neal walked away, sending the paranoia and fear of what he could do, what rumors he could spread, running rampant. This was terrible. This was bad. This was really-
Stop whimpering like a beaten dog. This situation is salvageable. Your perceived insanity will work as an advantage. The capabilities of the insane always are-this will prove advantageous should you need to fight any of the other- Greed's cold diatribe was interrupted by Wrath.
There will not be a fight. That implies your enemies stand a chance. Instead, there will be a holocaust.
A "sacrifice by fire", yes, Amon, very clever. I'm sure darling Leila will need neither your heavyhanded solutions or your implausible machinations. This situation is working out just fine on its own, isn't it Leila?
But they think I'm...
He thinks you're sexy. Isn't that a good feeling Leila? Between the conversation going on in her head, the gnawing hunger that Gluttony was causing her to feel, and the not entirely unpleasant sensations Lust agitated her with, Leila was struggling to keep track with the conversation going on in the real world.
Here's a question, what if your mind IS the real world?
"Don't tell Amon that," Leila muttered, as if Jasmine was speaking to someone else who was going to tell Amon to shut up. "He's...volatile."
As are you. It's in your nature. In your blood.
I'm not like you. Not like any of you.
Yet.
"I, uh, thanks, I guess," Leila murmured as Eli put the scarf on her. It was a nice gesture, but there was no polite way to say she didn't need it. The only real advantage of having the Legion was that they kept her body burning nice and hot, warding off the cold and most infections. The downside was, she felt like she was in a furnace most of the time. Leila let the Playboy comment slide without saying anything-Lust and Pride were too busy throwing a field day over it to give her time to come up with a coherent thought. "...Yeah. Freezing to death is, uh, bad. We can go in if you all want."
The other boy still got away Envy murmured, checking her makeup in a small, handheld mirror. Now wouldn't it be a lot more useful if you had ESP like this Jasmine girl? Then you'd know exactly what people thought of you!
I'm actually okay without that.

Amimoore Black Dellamorte.
Celo wrote:
"So, hey- does this school have a gym?"
A simple question. Amimoore was at the school for years, long as the headmaster himself. "Yeah, there's a gym building not too far away... I can show you if you want." She answers his question. With a warm and cheerful smile on her face.
Shade wrote:

I'm just making a great first impression on you guys, aren't I?"
While the question was directed at Jaylin, Amimoore couldn't help but feel like it's directed at her. She was a bit uncomfortable sharing her telepathy with random... Since it's rather alienating. The ability to just look into the most private of people's places. People don't like that - They probably don't like her even less because of her hard to access mind. Though Amimoore has long learned that once you enter the school; privacy is practically nonexistent, with all the powers everyone has. "You must be rather observant." Amimoore points out. "It's fine. A lot of people discuss their powers here, it's not really rude." Though, some people won't talk about their powers because of one sinister reason or another. Amimoore almost sent that thought to Arianna.
Celo wrote:

That was exactly what Amimoore had assumed going off their thoughts. They could merge together. But the question was what exactly was the perks of the merging aside from Telepathy? Strength of two? Their mass doesn't seem to increase when merged together, which is rather strange. Though she knew that somebody like Adam would easily be able to pick apart the specifics of a power just by observing it in action. Possibly she'll be able to find it out during the next training session. "That's rather interesting, Jaylin..." She says. "Is there actually anything else you can do by merging?"
Dexter 'Rush' Chertok, & Ray Judah Drager.
"... And you believe this?" Ray says, at the very end of their conversation. He was briefed by Rush about everything that he needs to know about the school, plus their little revolution mission. Ray was naturally a bit skeptical about all of this. There was that lingering feeling that this was all a trick, a scam... He'll want to see some proper evidence of this Headmaster being a scumbag. Though, Rush says that there's some heavy suspicion on him. So the only way to find out is... To... Dammit.
With a nod, Rush spoke to Ray, "Yes. Look. Went into his computer. Briefly. But long enough to find... Troubling information." He spoke in his same emotionless tone.
"Fine. You want this Jasmine-chick to help? What's she like?" Ray just had to ask. Since he wanted to know who he was working with.
"Jasmine Cheng. Detective. Has ESP. Knows things. Somewhat haughty, sociopathic. Violent when provoked."
"... Terrific."
"Yes. Believe we can work together."
With a sigh, Ray threw in his own advice, in a slightly annoyed tone, "From experience; I can tell you that people like that will definitely want something in return. The only problem is that they could be a problem, and cutting them off at that point might be difficult. So I say if you really want her on your team; then keep one hell of an eye on her."
Rush nodded. "Very well. Plan on keeping hold on operator. At all costs." He continued walking forward. His steps. He then spotted someone in the distance running away from something. Upon closer inspection, it was none other than Neal. Most likely towards the art center. Hmph. Rush was curious, since going off some other invasions of privacy, Jasmine and him used to date. At the moment they have literally no idea where Jasmine is or would be. Might tread on his toes a bit, but perhaps Neal might be useful. If all goes well, they could add him to his group and defeat the headmaster. "Ray. That is Neal. He may know where Jasmine is. Get his attention."
"I can throw a snowball at him. I think that'd get his attention." Ray says, as he quickly comes up with some complex plan to get his attention...
"... Just call him."
On cue, Ray calls out to him "Hey, Neal! Can we talk for a minute?"
"Oh ya' know...stuff." Merry quickly continued, to prevent anyone from getting the wrong idea about her. "Back at my house I did a lot of things on my own..." She scrambled to think of something interesting about herself. "Like read and play video games and study."
With a shrug, and a close of her eye, Gabe spoke, "That's nice." She said, rather unimpressed by Merry. She herself does quite a few things interesting, but she isn't going to stroke her ego about it. She was going to play the poker match and beat Drake. There's still plenty of time left, Blackmore, don get cocky. Finally, the time to draw was now. Drake drew a Straight Flush. Gabe drew a Full House... While Jake strangely pulls a Royal Flush. Winning the round.
"Looks like I win this round." Jake says. Winning for the first time since this started. He had a devious smile on his face just like he cheated.
"Hah, that was luck, Jake. I'm still in the lead." Drake says, disappointed since he lost, again. That was a blow straight to his massive ego.
However, Lily knew something was up. She turned her full attention to the cards. She saw something while glancing at Jake for a moment. He has his powers activated. Which is something that Lily can tell because she saw the Meta-human energy in him flux. She quickly looked at the cards, then at Jake, then back at the cards. Her ability gave her an intuition when it came to powers. All it just was a little bit of observation and.... He's an illusion...? She thought to herself. The cards were enshrouded in an illusion, thus changing the value. Nobody but Lily would know. Well, she wasn't going to deal with any cheaters - Regardless of if she's losing or not. With one flick of a wrist, Jake's powers deactivated for a second. Revealing the cards that he used to make a royal flush were just random cards. Lily jumped out of the chair and hissed at him, "Ah you cheater!"
Quickly, Drake leaned in and saw the cards. Then he looked at Jake and shook his head, "Ooooh, that was not the right choice, bro." He leaned back on his chair, before kicking his feet up onto the table. He gave a glance to everyone on the table. "You know what this means...? You've just forfeited!"
It was the perfect plan, since they weren't betting. Just cheat his way to the top using his illusions. He had expected it to be subtle enough to never be noticed. But somehow the illusion dropped (Which is strange unless someone has an energy power). "Oh come on! How'd you know?!" Jake asks Lily.
"... Woman's intuition." Lily says, somewhat unsure of herself.
"Fine. I'm done." Jake says before he gets out of the chair and walks off to talk to someone else.
Only laughter came from Gabriela in response. "Have fun, Jakey!" She called out to him as he walked.
"And Jake folds!" Drake loudly announced throughout the lounge, in a glorious, grandoise tone. Putting his hands up into the air.

Okay, so Jesse was wrong in that regard, about how Val probably didn't know how the layout of the U.S. was. After being told about how he has spent some time there, Val referred to a friend of his named Drake, and by the description of it, it sounded like they went to California or something. Maybe West Palm Beach? Really, it was hard to tell considering how many hot spots there were. In any case, Jesse's gaze followed Val's finger towards a group of people at the poker game. There sat Drake, clearly having a fun time with himself, regardless if the others were or not. Among them was another girl who was decorated with an eye patch - fairly attractive, oddly enough, despite the scarred and roughened features. The girl Lily he had met earlier seems to have invited a friend over to play with them, a younger girl. But to answer Val's question...
"Uh, I live in Pennsylvania. You know, where the Hershey factory is? But I was born and raised in Florida, which is way down at the bottom. Pretty much the dick of the country."
Of course, considering how Val proceeded to talk from topic to topic, Jesse wasn't quite sure if he caught that. But he seems to catch most of what Jesse says, despite appearing distracted by the commotion around him. Jesse couldn't help but laugh at Val's joke though, about Putin and orders. It was good natured, though he might want to be careful about who he says it around. But then came another question, one Jesse didn't know how to answer.
"Er... that's a tough one. I'm not quite sure how the school organizes that sort of thing, but this is my first year here." Jesse told him before shrugging. "I'm still new to the whole... "super powers" thing. For the longest time I just thought I was crazy, and then I get a letter in the mail and I'm suddenly dropped in a nest full of people with them."
Jesse sighed. "So it'll take some getting used to."
