| The officer took a few steps back, slightly surprised at being addressed. He looked back and forth between Ketryn and Levith, as if asking what he should do. Levith didn't say anything, rather enjoying the confusion of the underling, and he watched the situation play out. Eventually the flustered officer excused himself, embarrassed.
Teams of the snakelike aliens were beginning to move the unconscious prisoners aboard the largest vehicle. There, they were placed into a cell-like structure complete with bars and a steel gate. However, between the bars was a force-field structure, generated by a power core within each bar and maintained by a generator kept aboard the vehicle. This was obviously not of their design; it was scavenged Kyrenien technology. These beings were scavengers, living off what technology they could build with the shattered remains of whatever cities had once graced the surface of the planet.
Four of the aliens began to escort Senn and Strange toward the prison transporter, while the captain remained with Ketryn. He seemed especially interested in her, for some odd reason. It definitely wasn't that he found her attitude charming, but rather what she was. "You are an android, correct?" Levith asked her, casually messing with the settings on his two stun blasters. Without waiting for an answer, he turned away and seemed to be speaking to himself. "Our mechanic's gonna love this." He then waved over four more of his troops and had them escort Ketryn away to the prison vehicle. She, aside from Somnus, was the last to arrive.

| Ketryn felt like laughing when she saw the reaction. Speechless. The officer's reaction was really amusing. She was thinking about a joke of how she leaves most males speechless, but the current situation wouldn't make such a statement that appropriate. She listened to the captain speak, her attitude quickly changing from amusement to anger. Their mechanic was going to "love this"? Ketryn felt her non-existent stomach tighten, somehow feeling sick.
They weren't going to... Experiment on her? Ketryn let the four troops to take her onto the ship, looking behind her, trying to scowl at Levith. As always, it didn't work. She walked onto the prison vehicle, looking around in her prison cell before sighing. She was going to find a way out of here. Her biggest fear was of getting experimented on, and she wasn't going to let that happen.

| The aliens dragged him over to to the cage, but as Donfroste was about to be thrown in he released a huge spazuam and clamped his cone-like teeth down on his holder's hand refusing to let go. "Hrrrrrm! Ha cretchen!" He mumbled he was then chucked off rudely and roughly to his cage. | |

| Senn scowled at the leading alien over his shoulder. "Catch." He repeated to himself. "He should recognize an Errian when he sees one, and know better than to say something so disrespectful" he mumbled under his breath. He mumbled a few alien words, that were actually Errian curse words. The claws on his feet clacked against the hard ground as he moved, and almost sounded mechanical. He mumbled again, "ropes. How dismal of a race."
He looked at the guards. "I'd have no objections if you shot me now. I'll have you know that if you plan on experimenting and testing me, there will be trouble. That is a promise. Heck, you may as well kill me right now."

| As the prisoners were secured inside the transport vehicle, Levith took a seat on one of the benches outside the cell. He fingered his blasters thoughtfully, staring at the captives with fascination. Due to his specie's tendency to have rather large eyes, the gaze might have come of a bit creepier than he intended. His yellow-oranges eyes didn't much help either. He turned away when the ramp retracted and the door shut with a resounding boom. A few moments later, there was a lurch as the transporter began its journey back to the base.
"Ah, just in time," Levith said to himself. "It is about to get dark out here..." He said nothing for the rest of the journey, preferring instead to make sure none of the unconscious prisoners were to suddenly wake and attack...something. His fellow guards were on edge, but not due to the silence. There was something about being outside at dusk that unnerved them.
* * *
After a bumpy ride that lasted about twenty minutes, the transporter shifted, like it was going down a steep tunnel. There was another deep clanging sound from somewhere outside the carrier, and as if on cue, all the guards relaxed. A few minutes later the car leveled out, and came to a halt. The door to the transport opened once more, and the ramp lowered.
It was a spacious, circular room, lit by high-powered emergency lights and what appeared to be mining light fixtures. The ceiling was bare rock, supported by thick bars of curving steel that were around fifty feet tall. Opposite the door of the carrier was a long tunnel that sloped upward, presumably leading to the surface. At the top of this tunnel was a thick gate, that looked to be the salvaged blast door from a large spaceship. There were five other tunnels that were offshoot from the main room, each marked with an arbitrary letter and number: C24, D36, A21, B42, and X11. Most of the troops wore armbands displaying one of these numbers. Levith himself had one that said C24, but this seemed to be an uncommon occurrence. A great number displayed B24s.
"Home at last," Levith said to his troops, a few of which laughed in happy relief. "Cut that one a bit close, I think..." He stopped talking for a moment, peeking his head outside the carrier. "Where's Vetrys and the Magistrate? Our prisoners will be waking soon."
Someone outside answered him shortly, "They're both already down there."
"Right, how silly of me," Levith mumbled to himself, slightly exasperated. "Lock it up! Shut the doors! This check-in is over!" He signaled some far-off officer in a guard tower, who waved back at him. The door to the transporter closed again, and the vehicle lurched down the tunnel marked D36.

| Somnus blinked a few times, beginning to wake. Wherever he was, it was moving, and not smoothly. He grumbled and began trying to figure out what was going on. His tail began to twitch, but that was about all he did. His legs and wings were bound with thick ropes, and it wasn't as if he could go anywhere, even untied. He shifted himself into a more comfortable position and looked around.
They had all been piled into the same transport, and it seemed that not all of them had been stunned. Senn, Strange, and Ketryn. He didn't pay that much mind. It seemed that everyone was there, and that was all he needed to know. What he really wanted to know was what was going on.
He tilted his ears so that he could hear their captors talking, and held still. Hopefully he would hear something interesting...

| Strange edged away from Senn. It was just to be safe; he wouldn't want to be nearby when Senn's threat went into action.
Strange saw the prison bus and immediately became a little angry. No matter what, to them, he's their prisoner. He really didn't want to be seen like that. It just felt... Offensive. Strange didn't find any other way to put it. In an act of defiance, Strange broke away from his guards and chose his own seat: a window seat. It was the closest that he'd get to being comfortable, and the farthest from Senn he could get.
He waved his hand in a shooing motion at the guards, completely calm, if not a little angry. "I'm not gonna blow up the bus, or anything," He said, but at a very quiet tone. It was so quiet that his escorts might not have heard him.

| Ketryn walked aroun in her cell before sitting down. She was still a nervous wreck from the thought of the possibility of being experimented on- she wasn't going to en up there. Never again. Ketryn pushed the thoughts to the back of her mind and tried to think of something else.
She was sitting in the corner of the cell, watching the actions of her captors. As time progressed, they seemed to be getting nervous about something. She noted that dawn was nearing. Was their enemy known to awaken a dawn or something? Or perhaps it was some biological sort of weakness? Maybe in the past they warred with a different species that was affiliated with the dawn and thus it was in their genes to fear it. No. They are an advanced race, after all- such actions in advanced races are rare. She decide it was probably just eagerness to return. But return where?
She was quiet for a while before asking aloud, "Whwre are we being taken, exactly?"

| Donfroste gnawed in his ropes determined to escape and kill his captors he had taken quite a beating being thrown had aggravated his concussion and opened his cut his tame dripping with both his blood and the aliens blood his face was heavily bruised his body screamed in pain wanting to rest and recover. His mind disagreed and his stubbornness led him on finally he had bitten through
The rope he groaned this was going to take hours then he eyed the lasers then he squirmed over to the lasers he didn't know if they were "burners" or "reflectors" he inched closer and touched the lasers with the ropes hoping they would burn through. It didn't occur that this wasn't a "smart " or "safe".

| "You're being taken to see the Magistrate," Levith answered curtly, "He will evaluate your guiltiness, and usefulness, and you will be dealt with accordingly. Coincidentally, where we're meeting him is the prison for unsavory characters."
The ride was not nearly as long as the first leg of the trip; within a few minutes the carrier had once again stopped. In a curious manner of workmanship, the entire top section of the transporter swiveled around to face the back of the tunnel. It was obvious that these carriers had been designed this way because there was no room to turn about within the tunnels; changing directions required a change in perspective. In any case, the doors of the carrier now faced their destination, while the driver faced the mouth of the tunnel, ready to drive off again when the trip completed.
The thick doors opened to reveal a less-than-friendly looking place. It was a long, broad tunnel, dimly lit by the same mining fixtures that seemed to be all around this strange place. Lining the walls were various cells, most of which were unoccupied. The ceiling was low, with the exception of a large cone-shaped tunnels with an enormous fans above several cells. The fans were too high for any occupants to reach, and there was not enough space to get through the blades.
The appearance of the prison hall did not concern Levith. He was focused on the two snakelike creatures standing at the edge of the ramp, waiting for permission to board. He signaled all-clear, and bid them come up into the carrier.

| Vetrys stepped into the vehicle with a sense of authority, though not quite so much as the one next to him. He wore a leather vest, and had an assortment of things -mostly weapons- hanging from his belt. A stun gun, as most of the guards carried, was the most conventional. He also carried a dagger, which was probably used for more than utility in an emergency. However, on the other side of his belt was something a bit more unexpected. A hand crossbow and a small quiver of bolts. He narrowed his bright orange eyes just slightly, and took in the new prisoners.
They had come in with an Invader ship, but most of them were not Invaders. His gaze rested on the two Invaders for a moment, displeased, and then looked at the rest of them. He didn't recognize any of these creatures, but why should he? The Invaders were the only spacefaring race. They were odd, he concluded, but most of them seemed to be no threat. The one with the claws had a nasty look on his face though.
Somnus chose that moment to look up. Perfectly silent, he looked Vetrys right in the eye, and began glaring a hole in him. He didn't understand why these creatures would capture him and the rest of these people. The Kyreniens, sure, but did he and the others not look like they had been prisoners? This was pointless, and he made a point to show his distaste.
Vetrys, unlike most people, did not look away. This large creature was intimidating, but he was also tied up. Vetrys frowned just slightly and raised an eyebrow, as if to say 'what do you plan on doing about it, then?'
Somnus did not react, only continued glaring.

| Ketryn wanted to scowl more than ever when she heard Levith's relply. The were getting trialed? At least it was better than just being taken hostage, but still.
"Trialed for what, exactly? For being with two Kyrenians?" Ketryn stared at Levith, the only thing she could do without making an expression. "Are you aware of why we were with them? We were all Kyrenian prisoners, but then those two went against their race and got us out."
Ketryn lifted up her chin a little, the only sign that she was challenging Levith. "We are just as guilty here as you are for taking us prisoner..." Ketryn stood up and walked to the edge of the cell, closer to Levith. "Now tell me, how does that make us guilty?"

| "So you would side with the Invaders?" said the approaching figure, all four hands behind his back. Standing beside Vetrys, he was tall, imposing, and confident. He had an aged, yet ageless quality about him, like one who had seen too much and been through it all. His deep orange eyes were hard and uncaring, like a controlled burn. His neck frill had an edge of dark red to it, further reinforcing his age, and we was pattered akin to a rattlesnake. He wore a thick, military vest, with a large hole in each side to accommodate his arms. On his head was a matching hat. "I take it you have many questions," he stated, his deep voice commanding silence from all, "but I am one for formalities, and those will be addressed first." He cleared his throat. "I am the Magistrate, Praecus, leader of the Jakulo, to whom you find yourselves so...imprisoned."
At this moment, Kydi sat up, awake. His vision was blurry, and he couldn't figure out why his glasses weren't working when he realized they were pushed up onto his forehead. Reaching up, he adjusted them and looked around. He had caught the last few words of Praecus' speech, and he was dismayed. Prisoners. Fantastic. Well, this wouldn't be the first time... He looked over at the motionless form of Thray, who had been disarmed, and attempted to wake him. To Kydi's surprise, Thray was already awake. He made a quick shushing motion at Kydi and continued to lay still, facing away from their captors so they couldn't see his face.
Praecus watched Kydi with an expression of distaste, but went on to answer Ketryn's question. "At this moment, I do not know what exactly you are guilty of. That is what we are trying to determine." He paused. "There are not many life-forms that would travel willingly with Kyreniens." At this point, Kydi made as if to say something, but was silenced by a glare from both Levith and Praecus. It was not a good time for him to speak.

| Okay. So this guy is the reason she was imprisoned. Ketryn wanted to glare at him now, her distaste for the situation directed completely at him. Instead, however, she turned her head to the side, looking at Levith instead as she listened to Praeceus speak. She wasn't very find of Levith, but right about now she preferred having him speak instead of this life form.
"You can easily find something guilty about anyone," Ketryn stated flatly. Then she added in, "What would you do if you were low in energy- whether it be food-wise or deprived of some other energy source- and you were rescued by a couple of life-forms that many consider enemies, but are in fact going against your race."
Ketryn let out an emotionless sigh before saying, "no matter. I would like for you to show me where the nearest energy outlet is. I was not fully charged and would prefer to have my system recharged soon."

| On the outside, Strange looked unimpressed by the events around him. However, on the inside, he was seething with rage.
"Well," He said flatly to the strange alien, "Let's say you're trapped on a spaceship, floating in the void, with nobody to talk to except..." Strange paused and pointed at Senn with his thumb, without looking at him.
"You'd be desperate. Very desperate. Then, three aliens come out of the blue and offer you a ticket out of this mess, no strings attached... that I know of." Strange cast a glance at Kydi and Thray before looking back at his captor. "Then, you're being chased by a big space firestorm - actually, I'm exaggerating; it was a spaceship - and the guys who are a part of the race that owned the spaceship goes into hyperspace and saves your life. I have no reason to not like these two particular beings."
With that, Strange leaned back in his seat, awaiting his captor's response.

| Praecus listened in silence, taking in what was said without expressing any emotion. "So you admit to being captured by Kyreniens," he stated slowly, "but not these two? And you would go so far as to say they rescued you?" He paused for a moment. "Did it occur to you that Invaders are liars, murderers, and otherwise unsavory characters?"
"...Most of them, yes," Kydi mumbled under his breath so that none could hear. He was staring down into his lap, afraid to look up.
Praecus was not finished. "They could have taken you anywhere in that ship of theirs. Did they bother to tell you where they were headed?"
"Hey!" Kydi protested, daring to speak up. "We didn't know where to go because we were too busy running from other Kyreniens!"
"You are not speaking here," Praecus growled, fingering a stun pistol.

| Senn spoke up, almost yelling, "they did not! They told us that if we didn't go, we would die on the ship they picked us up from. All of these aliens wanted to go happily with the Kyrenians, but I did not. I tried desperately to talk everyone out of it. Nobody would listen to me, it was as if they'd forgotten what these tyrants had done. But I am not blind, I was resilient. But eventually I had to give in, in fear they I would die as they said, cold and alone. I am Sennak, by the way. Or Senn. I am an Errian, a race that put up a good fight. I want all Kyrenians dead; that would be properly blood vengance for my race." He said interlacing his massive claws. | |

| Ketryn ignored Senn's biased, one-sided statement as she replied to Praecus. "Did it occur to you that I could escape this cell?" Ketryn paused before continuing, "Did it occur to you that in the next chair you sat in, that it could collapse? No. All you can do is hav faith in the situation and hope, correct?"
Ketryn stepped closer to the edge of the cell, her expressionless face now staring no longer at Levith but finally at Praecus. "Did it occur to you that not all Invaders are the same? There are ones of your race that go against the common goal, correct? Same goes for every race. Did it occur to you that most of us are innocent? Did it occur to you that when your soldiers captured us, that they could have gotten defeated by more powerful beings and then the entire planet destroyed? Tell me, did any of these thoughts occur to you?"
Ketryn couldn't put emphasis on much without emotion, but she did raise her voice when she said "occur" the last time. She was really ticked off, now.

| Somnus moved his glare from Vetrys to Praceus. A deep growl rumbled from his throat before he spoke, quiet but bold. The kind of cold anger that can silence a room, if only for a moment. "You would have all Kyreniens killed for the sins of the majority? I won't deny that I attacked them on sight, but I soon realized what was truly happening. You have not seen the look in Kydi's eyes, knowing he could rescue these people." He did not look away from Praceus, and hardly even blinked. "Perhaps most of their kind are truly evil, but these two? They are innocent."
Vetrys started slightly at Somnus' last statement. He narrowed his eyes slightly, highly skeptical, but did not speak. He would let the Magistrate sort out this impossible misconception. He was just waiting to find out which of these he would be keeping in the jail.

| "Don't listen to them" Senn said. "They are blind. Kill the Kyrenians while you still have a chance" he added with a slight bend to his ears. He snarled at the others, but not the new aliens.aye they could be helpful yet. He looked at them all curiously. | |

| Praecus stared, amazed. He had a deep sympathy for these confused creatures, despite their anger and their threats; to him, they seemed on the verge of insanity...Well all except one of them anyway. "Innocent innocent you say," he sighed. "Very well. Let me show you how misguided you are." Pointing at Kydi, he ordered, "You there, wake your friend."
Kydi froze, realizing the predicament they were in. He panicked. "Uh...That's not a good idea. He doesn't like to be woken up when he's...he's sleeping..." He smiled sheepishly, hoping to convince the overbearing Jakulo leader that it wasn't necessary to do this. He had no such luck.
Praecus stared at him dully and spat out, "Now, or I'll save you both the trouble of ever waking again."
Thray groaned mentally and sat up, realizing he couldn't stall or hide any longer. His yellow eyes locked with Kydi's for a moment, and then shifted over to Praecus. Slowly, the hooded Kyrenien stood. Even from within the cell he seemed to tower over the Jakulo present outside. Levith involuntarily took a step back away from the cell, and his eyes flashed with recognition. Kydi stood with Thray, the duo drawing comfort in each other's presence. Dearly, Thray wished for his sword, but it had been taken from him and didn't appear to be in the carrier. "What do you want?" Thray mumbled, just loud enough to be heard.
"...So he does speak," Praecus said, mostly to himself. He turned to Vetrys, and gestured broadly at Thray. "What do you make of this, Vetrys?"

| Vetrys' eyes widened slightly, intimidated but determinedly not scared. He did not move. This was who they had captured, not some innocent civilian, if those even existed. He frowned, wondering how anyone could have not recognized the apparently not-so-silent Invader.
"This," he said in a loud voice, "though you apparently do not recognize him, is The Hunter. In case you somehow don't know who that is, all you need to know is that he was personally responsible for the deaths of more people than you've ever met. Indirectly, probably many, many more." he narrowed his eyes, disgusted, but trying to gauge the prisoners' reactions. "Far from innocent."
Somnus did not stop glaring, but he no longer knew who to glare at. He had always thought he was a good judge of character, what if their captors were wrong? But then again... Would Kydi and... Thray... have really taken them anywhere other than a safe place? Was there anywhere they could have even gone? He questioned, mainly, the reputation that they seemed to have with their own kind. Perhaps Thray had done something... changed? He didn't know anymore, other than that he hardly trusted the two anymore, as if he had before.
But still, something didn't quite add up...

| Ketryn's eyes would have widene in surprise upon hearing about who Thray was. She was silent. She wasn't sure what to think now- who to blame. Kydi still seeme innocent. Ketryn was frozen in place for several moments before finally asking, "Thray, before anyone jumps to conclusions... Why did you help us today?" While waiting for a response, Ketryn turned towards Praecus.
She now had an even stronger dislike for the him. Because he actually made a point. So Ketryn only said one thing.
"I despise you more than any Kyrenian."

Donfroste may have freed his limbs but he was still in a jail cell and still had no weapons his head swirled up angry thoughts in anger he kicked the laser and it burned his foot as he hopped around in pain the ambient noise giving him more anger "WILL EVERYTHING SHUT UP!" He feel to his knees clutching at his skull in pain.

| "I helped because it was the right thing to do," Thray answered, emotionlessly. He seemed weary, tired, and worn. His eyes were dull and his voice flat. His cloak seemed to swallow him up like a candle dying in a dark room.
"Truth is pain, isn't it?" Praecus sneered, at both Ketryn and Thray.
"You leave him alone!" Kydi shouted at Praecus, shaking his fist. Kydi knew Thray would not defend himself. Not now.
"My question is," Thray asked quietly, "what are you going to do with us now?"
