The Freaks Reloaded IC Chapter three: the Game is On

Kirra, being in cat form, was unable to speak, and it wasn't a good idea to change in a moving vehicle. Plus, doing two changes so close together was taking up a lot of energy. She already had that faint pang in her belly that indicated the beginning of hunger. She was fine for now, but she would either have to eat something, or let the hunger grow until she was unable to focus on anything else. She simply flicked her tail, and shook her head, a motion that was easily human-like, for a feline. She clearly didn't mind at all.

Cyex was worried. Harris hadn't came back yet. Normally I didn't worry him harris was a free person, but. he was his gourd. without his he was more exposed. Cyex could handle himself in a fair fight, bout as he's learned over time is that the world is rarely fiat. and harris was his way of evening the odds.

since it appeared Harris wasn't going to back for some time he desired to jump into cyberspace anyways. after all no one knew he was here. He'd covered his steps carefully after all. as far as the world has concerned there was no Cyex Celsus. he had deleted every record of himself he could find. and that even meant government records. not even the FBI was safe from him. though it took several days to even get to those records. he knew that many organizations had kept records of him, but that was a sunrise. they were looking to get him for embezzlement.

after taking a few minutes to set up an alarm to get him out of his trance he finally focused on the PC terminal in front of him. soon a mental link was established. the first thing he did was run a scan to find anything spying on him. normally he wouldn't bother with that, but lately he'd become aware that somehow someone was watching him. and not them. he could best them, but these others were much craftier. he'd tried to find them, but he couldn't ever find anything on them. it was as if they didn't exist.

it worried him that someone could do something like that. but he was getting distracted. and if that happened the link would drop. then he'd have to relink. so he focused at the task before him. where to relocate. larger cities were out of the question. as were smaller ones as well. perhaps a well sized town with a good technology base. like out in North Dakota. or even Silicon Valley itself. who knew.
