Johnny

Celo The Impossible wrote:
"Thanks for the advice," she smiled, though she wasn't going to follow this advice, "but if you treat everyone new the way you just did me, soon you might lose friends.  You'll never know, it might end up your only friends that will help being... didn't you say you had two siblings? Anywhooooo, there are probably, like, tooooons of mutants stronger then you three, combined. So be careful, as well, alrighty?"
Johnny now wished that Lexy stayed behind. Just so he can share a bit of his philosophy with her. But, she's long gone. He tilted his head downwards, as he quickly reverted out of his Emotional Energy form. All of the light that enshrouded his being faded away, leaving only his smooth (yet scarred) caramel skin. Johnny "blocked" out everything that was going on around him. Taylor, the music, the lights, all of it. Then he entered a state of deep inner monologuing; Funny, I don't really give a d*mn if I lose friends over my heavily justified actions. If they really dislike what I do, they aren't even my friends to BEGIN with. And, I don't NEED friends, or love. If it came down to me, Sylvia, Gabe and Jake against the entire f*cking Othergrounds so be it... It's been that way from day one, and it sure as f*ck ain't going to change anytime soon. You just think I'm just like you, lived a kind and happy life. But, sadly, I didn't. You'd understand my actions full and well if you've been through the stuff I have... Just you wait until a few scars get added to that pretty face of yours and you'll see the dark in all this false light.

For minutes on end, he thought to himself about this subject. Standing in the middle of the student lounge like a statue. Taylor was probably thinking that something was strange. Johnny found it funny, a little girl actually had a bit of an impact on him. Ryan didn't have that effect on him--- Probably because Johnny thinks that the guy is nothing more than a little sh*t. If Ryan keeps pissing Johnny off; let's just say that he'll have a hard time using that telepathy of his when his brain's been splattered all over the walls. For now, he would save the violent thoughts for his good pal Hunter. Since he's the real threat here, not Ryan.

Maxx Toron wrote:
"So," she said, reclining in an armchair sideways with her head resting on one of the arms "What do we do now?"
Taylor had snapped Johnny back into reality. After she spoke, his eyes opened all dramatically and he lifted his head up. He grabbed his hat by the top and gently took it off his head. He held his hat as he scrolled over to the nearest seat next to Taylor's armchair, with a swagger in his step. He felt that could trust Taylor in all of this (If she doesn't do anything stupid like that again). He sat down on arm chair, and kept his hat held tightly in his hands. Now was the time to tell Taylor about his plans of stopping this hostage madness. Before he spoke, he lightly stroked the thick claw scars under his eyes. The constant reminder he has not to fail. He turned his body towards Taylor in the chair and spoke, "Alright, Taylor, I'm a man that's always business before pleasure, and right now, my job includes taking out that Traitor before this all goes to sh*t." Johnny spoke in a dead serious tone, not a single joke came from his lips. "I have three suspects, these newcomer no-names, Dragonfly... And Hunter. And thanks to that stupid girl's mindless blabbering, Hunter is now my prime suspect..."

After speaking, Johnny smiled cheekily, "He killed that girl Jia-li, and now he's working with Blackmore's sister to find the evidence--- My guess is that he's going to use what skill-sets she has to help him find what's left, then he'll put one of those Blood swords right through her eye... A brutal way to go." He started laughing loudly, like the joker. Before abruptly stopping and getting on to the main point, "Now, as much as I don't give a flying f*ck what happens to Blackmore or his sister; I'm not going to let Hunter think he can freely get over on us like that. So, after I find Gabe, and maybe Jake and Sylvia; we're all going to skip over to the hospital and beat them to the punch. And I'd like you to join me--- Because you'd be a great help in keeping Gabe out of the water, she's like a cat when it comes to water. What'd you say Taylor? We make a great team."

Drake, Lily, & Jake

ViperaUnion wrote:
"You guys aren't seriously going to go after that guy, are you? People, I don't care how good your powers are, a five-second total loss of vision, plus hearing loss and vertigo, that's enough to leave you vulnerable."
"Then what the hell else are we supposed to do...?" Drake says to Nicole, pounding his fists together, angrily. There was no way in hell that he was going to let this Traitor get away. That wouldn't be in his headstrong nature to let something like this slide. "Let him come back with something bigger!? No! We get his @ss now, and end this!" Drake roared. Almost completely throwing reason out of the window. Even though, Victoria would have stopped him by now (Probably by using her acquired Telekinesis). He started panting. Slowly letting reason sink in on him. During his rage, his cigarette dropped from in between his lips and dropped on to the floor. Ashes scattered as the cigarette was effectively extinguished. Drake immediately stopped, and looked down, promptly frowning. God d*mmit... He thinks to himself as he reaches down and picked up the cigarette. The cigarette was bent slightly--- But, he was so desperate for that nicotine fix that he was willing to relight that cigarette. He (non-chalantly) stuck the cigarette from the dirty floor back in between his lips and pulled out his lighter. "Great..." Drake mutters under his breath. He now found that he was much more mellow. Calmer. Drake is once again feeling the emotions that he usually feels when he's usually stopped by  something (Usually Victoria, or his Father). That anger, and desire for action, quelling inside of him. He just slumped forward slightly and put his hands in his pockets.

"You.. Have a point, Nicole." Lily says, hesitantly and nervously as always. She was slowly calming down. "Alright, alright. We are NOT going after the traitor. It's too dangerous, and we don't know what he's packing." Lily says, having at least partially returned to a neutral state. Well, close enough to make a sentence and impose her rule over the group. It'd be stupid to rush after the traitor. In all of this chaos this is exactly what he wants, there's probably some bombs set up right where he ran off. There is the matter of the Animal Metas, and there's no way that Lily wasn't going to look out for them. They were all under her rule, and everyone is going to be treated evenly. Except for that jackass Johnny... Lily thought to herself. She spoke in an authoritative tone, and didn't blurt out that she's the leader, "Now, you guys need to find different rooms to sleep in, if the Traitor knows where you are, he's going to be waiting for a slip up. And I'm going to order some people to help you gu---" Lily suddenly stopped when she sensed another Meta-human approaching... A powerful one. This Meta-human didn't even bother to try and conceal their footsteps, steps echoed down the hallways. Lily points down the hallway and sacredly says, "S-Someone's coming!"

"Oh come on!" Drake says loudly, irritated, "This is just starting to get silly..." He narrowed his eyes and decided to look tough. He knew that everyone here were either too tired to fight, or noncombatants. It would be him versus whatever came at him, And I love the idea of me going one on one with a lunatic. In either case, he kept his head high, and changed to a combat stance. Fists balled up and up to his chin. Legs shoulder-width apart. Ready to brawl.

"I heard flashbangs, what the hell's going on?" she scanned the group for a minute, feeling another unusual twinge of sympathy. "Anybody hurt? I've got, uh, one hell of a painkiller. I take it you all speak English?"
This newcomer easily was the most shady looking out of all of the people that approached them. Looking like a cowboy, missing an eye and wearing a cowboy hat. She looked tough as nails--- With looked being the key word. From the looks of her, it looked like she's packing heat, and been in a fair share of fights. She also looked like the prime candidate for their traitor. Drake gave him a venomous gaze, as he was ready to fight her the moment that she turned out to be hostile. Don't think you'll get over easy on us; we're tougher than we look, and personally I'll give it my all. Too much to lose on my part. Drake thought to himself as he blew out a puff of cigarette smoke (Damn, this is almost down to the end.). He could feel the tension in the air. He just knew nobody would trust her--- And neither did he. Unlike Jake, he wasn't going to be blatant about it. He decided to be the one to speak to her first. He was going to politely turn her away before anyone did anything stupid, "Thank you, miss, but we're fine." Drake says in a, near sarcastic, polite tone, "Just a little... spat. Nothing to worry about." And personally, you look shady as f*ck, and I've been to enough parties to know not to take pills from strangers. Drake thinks to himself. He was almost ready to ask Luce if she had a cigarette, But, I'd totally take a smoke or two!

This was a great time for Jake to use his Master Illusionist power. However, for once, he wasn't going to trap anyone else in illusions. That did already piss off Pedro, and Dragonfly by trapping people in a cage. He wasn't going to try that again. Jake took a step forward and put his right hand straight out, palms out. From his hand he crafted an illusion with his mind. A simple illusion. A large, thick wall of bullet-proof glass was crafted in between the group and Luce. Protecting them from any possible harm, but allowing them to see each other. This wasn't a sign of hostility, more of a sign of caution. Plus, this was all for diplomacy. It would be difficult for Luce to simply break through this--- Because Jake could craft a titanium wall just as fast as she could break through the first illusion, or use his wide variety of tricks to confuse her while everyone else goes on the offensive. "Nothing personal, it's for our protection." Jake blankly says to Luce, keeping his pose, and constantly watching the cowgirl. He's not one to be taken lightly because his power isn't offensive.

For once, Lily didn't say anything at all. Drake pretty much, almost verbatim, covered what she was going to say to Luce. It didn't take a genius to tell that Lily didn't like the looks of Luce. Just turn around and go away you crazy looking b*tch.... And none of you morons start anything. Just move on, we'll deal with her later.

Emily noticed how Charles was trying to play it cool, despite clearly being in bad shape. She gave him a moment to collect himself and respond. What she heard was greatly disappointing. The way his face lit up told her that the most important thing she had said to him was the compliment, and he threw a rather tasteless one back at her. It was rare for Emily to give positive comments and she felt like that last one was wasted. She didn't show that it bothered her, nor did she respond.

Charles let out a groan, which reminded her to take it easy on him. Her mood lightened right before he proceeded to introduce himself. Sounds like he came from a prestigious family. That won't matter here though. Emily stopped herself from thinking too negatively. You don't get to choose your upbringing, and for all I know I could been well off... back when I was normal. He then used his power again, but this time his head glowed and the green light went back into his wallet. She was quite intrigued at what his power might be at this point. Charles then spoke up about getting some help. Emily agreed that he probably should, but she wasn't quite ready to leave yet. When Charles offered his hand she stared at it blankly for a moment, then restored eye contact.

"First I need your help." She stated it as a matter of fact. "I need to find some advanced chemistry and physics books, and I'm not leaving here without them." Emily paused and said "I can help with your wounds to some extent. But be forewarned that my methods are... unusual."

Luce eyed the group for a moment, the guns weighing heavy and hungry on her belt. Bulletproof glass? Interesting. Of course, Luce didn't hesitate for a second, instead looking to the right and left of where the bulletproof glass touched the wall, forming a sealed barrier-a flicker of a smile stretched her pink lips wide, then her face resumed its passivity. She blinked, taking in the group one at a time. Clever trick. Shame you didn't make it a little wider.

"Easy on the glass, whoever's throwing that around. For...your protection? Are that many of you really scared of a poor little girl, all lost and alone in this big, empty...whatever the f*ck this place is?" Luce noticed Drake's cigarette, which prompted a certain longing of her own. "Especially you, hot stuff. You're being awful cold to me." Luce's tone was an ambiguous mix of sarcasm and sincerity, and whether or not she found Drake attractive or not was anybody's guess. Luce reached back, drawing out the cigarette and a lighter-she didn't move slowly or try and make it clear she wasn't going for her weapon-she exuded nonchalance and casualty. It wasn't put on. She'd been in enough standoffs to know when somebody wanted things to end in blood, and when they wanted to walk away. These kids wanted to walk away.

But there was something else afoot. Why were they so afraid of one girl? Paranoia had gripped them, and gripped them good. Not quite on her level of fearmongering-she would've killed herself approaching in the dark and not thought twice-but this was peculiar. There was something else in this school, perhaps what caused all this carnage and destruction, and they were mighty afraid of it. Another grin traced her lips: they'd tear themselves apart before whoeveings.r this was got a chance to finish them. Such was the way of things.

"Don't know if you've noticed," Luce spoke, tucking the cigarette away and shifting her weight slightly, showing off the butt of her revolver, "But I'm a little more old school than flash bangs. You think I carry around sixguns from your Civil War and stun grenades on the same belt?" She went to say something else, but a sudden rebuttal occurred to her-they might find it suspicious how she knew of the flashbangs. Might lose their trust. Granted, trust was already a little stretched, but still..."...and you might want to pick up those discarded flashbangs, eh? Whoever it was that was intent on giving you a little headache'll know where he was earlier if he finds those. Big school, he might be lost. I sure as hell am. Any of you know the way out? I'll leave you in peace and get the hell out of this country. If not, direct me towards some food, because I'm a bit hungry." She spoke with a thick accent, albeit was still understandable, and her tone was smooth and collected. Luce was either in charge of this situation, or was believed that she was. Luce inhaled on the cigarette, then wasted the rest of it, dropping it to the ground and crushing it beneath her boot. She did mostly for the theatrical effect-you could see a cigarette spark a loooong ways away, and this place was littered with dark, endless corridors and windows overlooking the grounds. A scoped rifle was more dangerous than any Traitor running around this place, in Luce's humble opinion.

---

Livvy was still rather shell-shocked from the revelation of there being really bad people in the school, but the overall stress of waking up in the Stasis Chambers and then the ooze and now this was just too much. Tears, hot and wet and accompanied with sobs muffled by Mr. Teddy's presence, rolled down her face and dampened the fur of the little bear. She felt safer, though, with Dragonfly around. Cause back home they'd always joked their iguana would be the one to protect them, which was kinda funny cause he didn't do much but sleep, but a tiny shred of her believed it. Livvy's face was buried in the bear, but she knew quite where they were. In fact, if Dragonfly had put her down and left her, she could've found her way back through the dark and the twisting hallways to the group with alarming certainty-the way was simply lit for her, the way directions and finding her way just made sense to her. The moonlight from above, passing straight down from the heavens to the ruined, trashed floor of the Othergrounds in Livvy's eyes, consoled her as it usually did. Always so reliable. She liked that about the stars.

Dragonfly was telling her about monsters, but some of his wording was lost on her. She got that some monsters were good, and had the strangest, vaguest idea he was talking about somebody she knew, but Livvy couldn't figure out who it was. At any rate, it pacified her (admittedly, justified) weeping for a moment, and the blotchy-faced, silver-irised girl listened intently, sniffling periodically. But he started talking about people that would help them, and that sounded good, cause that one guy made her food and even though Lily was really strict and reminded her of her mom (a fresh wave of homesickness rolled over her at this point), she knew Lily was sorta kinda her friend. And stuff. So more friends...that could only be good. Livvy leaned against Dragonfly, thinking his scales felt kinda funny-and she was about to tell him that, some of her shock and grief finally starting to abide, when they reached the third room.

"Ewww!" Livvy whispered reactively, seeing the boy and the girl kissing. It was kinda sweet though, and although she didn't realize it, made a little flutter of hope spring up. This place wasn't so bad after all. In a way, it was like a really big, deserted, scary castle, but there were still princes and princesses (and Dragon(fly)s!) roaming about. It was the darkest fairy tale she'd ever seen, but Livvy liked fairy tales nonetheless. The good guys always won. And they were the good guys. So they were gonna win. Simple. The prince seemed kinda serious, though, and asked her if she knew Dragonfly. "Yeah! He's..." she paused for a second, realizing something. Back home had always been a little uneasy for Liv, because although the other kids were a little too young for outright anti-mutant sentiment, there was something not right even they picked up on. It was the divide from the day they teased her about her bear, made her cry, and every single kid in her grade went to the doctor with horrific sunburns, or the way her eyes seemed to sparkle when the lights in the class were extinguished. Something they couldn't quite name, something the teachers and the nurses and principal suspected, but couldn't quite prove. And amidst it all, the unspoken suspicion, she never really had any super-close friends. And she'd only known Dragonfly for just a little while, but he'd given her hugs and helped her and...well, that was what friends did. And since he was her ONLY friend, aside from Mr. Teddy, that made him..."...my best friend. Are you two boyfriend and girlfriend?" was her immediate follow-up, the dangers of the Othergrounds temporarily forgotten (they'd return when she tried to sleep). She giggled slightly, the blotchy marks on her face starting to fade.

"A simple deal. Sure." Charles naively says. Not even thinking that his injuries during the fight would make him less effective at looking for books. However, he was here long enough to know that the Education Wing isn't exactly a good place to scour for books. Maybe a few books to teach the students here. But, Charles knew that the real place to get books, for education or otherwise, was the library in the dorms. He would direct her there, and help her look for these books. But, he had the feeling, purely from her statement, that she wouldn't just walk out of here. Even if she was told that there are better places to find books--- Nonetheless, he was going to tell her, "There is a really big library in the dorms. I don't know what's going on in there, but we can look."

Now, as naive as Charles is, he got the feeling that he wouldn't like what Emily would do to help him. Charles was given one important piece of advice from his father (Who talked like he knew exactly what Meta-humans were); don't try experimenting with the powers of others until you know what they could do. He looked out the window, and saw the rainstorm still going on strong. Probably was going to go on all night. Which made it rather difficult to sneak in between the buildings. With puddles forming, and the sounds of splashing could be heard from a distance--- And he was smart enough to know that, more-or-less, turning invisible wouldn't stop him from being heard. As for all Charles knows, there's only himself and Emily, and doesn't have a clue if there is anymore Ooziums or soldiers wandering the school grounds. The best they could do was take the back route, or use the woods around the school.

"I'll be fine, but, what exactly can you do to help me?" Charles asked Emily, and once she answered; he would determine whether he will accept or not.

Drake, Lily, & Jake

Idiot. You think I'm going to fall for the stupid act? Jake thinks to himself. It was funny, as much as he tried to differentiate himself from Johnny; he couldn't help but agree that his older brother had rubbed off on him. Mostly the part about knowing who to trust, and what to believe. Jake knew he didn't believe a word of what Luce was saying. He merely kept his hand pressed up against the illusion of bullet-proof glass. Keeping it going strong and ready to create much more. Not saying a word, and keeping his gaze on Luce. There were no Cerebral-types in the immediate area, no Johnny, no Lin. Which means that it'd be difficult to tell if she's lying or not.

However, Drake nor Lily weren't as untrusting as Jake. Not to the point of not answering Luce's questions. He was going to politely tell her why their paranoia was very justified. Not just because Luce looks suspicious. Drake inhaled a puff of cigarette smoke, and shrugged. He put together a good response in his head, and finally spoke in a soft, but rather tense, tone, "Well, lady. We've been through a lot of sh*t... If you were with us, you'd understand why we'd be a bit cautious of someone who looked like they'd fit more in a Western move..." As a villain. After he spoke he inhaled another puff of cigarette smoke. "And, I don't know how you don't know this, but you're in the Othergrounds, or by the name we all got from that letter; the Sparrowdale Academy."

Shade Forgot His Password wrote:

A half-smile crept up on his face, and chuckled quietly. He found it a bit humorous that she was trying to flirt with him, and he didn't even know if she was being serious or not. How funny. Even if Drake wasn't in constant fear of getting killed by the traitor, or didn't think Luce looked strange, he wouldn't fall for a trap like this. He knew it was some sort of manipulation technique. Get him to fall for her, and let his guard down. Getting a girl as was the least of his priorities. With his main priority being... Getting more cigarettes. Aside from the half-smile, he didn't respond.

The moment that Luce revealed the butt of her revolver, everyone (But, Drake) flinched a bit. They were a bit startled to know that she was carrying around a gun. But, Drake wasn't impressed in the slightest. There was a bullet-proof glass wall in between them and her--- And can she draw that revolver fast enough to dodge a bolt of lightning? It was safe to assume that a gun wouldn't be effective against the a group of Meta-humans. He curiously raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. Keeping his eyes solely focused on the revolver. While Victoria would definitely would not agree with this, he commented on her revolver,  "You know," He started off, pointing one of his fingers at Luce's revolvers, "For a tough lookin' woman like yourself; I don't think you'd NEED to carry guns around." He then shrugged. It was a taunt of sorts, just a subtle one, one of how her tough demeanor betrayed the need for guns. With not a hint of fear in his voice. Drake was purposely going around the rest of her statement. Nobody even brought up her being the one responsible for all of this. By just saying that, she just made him even more suspicious.

Just by seeing the gun, Jake knew that it'd be time that he plans their defense. They don't know her power, and for all they know; she could have super speed. Easily able to draw her revolver and shoot it--- All in the span of a second. If it wasn't a speed-based ability, then they'd have a chance. One thing that Johnny always told Jake: Ya' can't hit what ya' can't see, youngin. He could just create a blinding light, or turn the group invisible. Possibly he could trap her in a cage that she wouldn't be able to get out of--- Unless she has the conditions necessary to escape his traps. Even if she has counters to his illusions, he was more than confident that they could defend themselves against her. He was glad that the rest of his siblings weren't here. Their approach to situations like this would have already escalated things. Which is why a bit of diplomacy was necessary here, "Well, look. We didn't say you were involved in this at all. I'm just taking precautions, since we've been attacked before." He spoke in a logical and nonchalant tone. He sighed quietly, and looked around. There was still a legitimate chance that she could be behind this.

It was high time for Lily to step in and say something. Except, she didn't know exactly what to say because Luce... She's wasn't going to lie to herself when she said that she's scared of Luce. As Luce scared Lily with her appearance, personality and weaponry. There was a slight want to just give up and turn around to leave. To let everyone else handle this, like she did with the fight against the Zizz. But, she promised Drake that she would be brave from here on in--- And there was no way she'd leave this to the group. She has to do it herself or everyone else will mess it up. She sighed, and closed her eyes. Trying to relax herself before she spoke. Then she opened her eyes, and decided that it'd be best if she politely answers Luce's questions. It wasn't like Luce wasn't going to figure all of this out at some point--- They help her, and they all go their separate directions. Lily says to Luce, in a leader-like tone, through the glass illusion, "Hello, I'm Lily... And I have to say that we're trapped in here. I mean they're a big dome that's stopping us from leaving. Or we'd be gone by now. So, I guess we're trapped here together..." Lily says, she was trying her best not to anger Luce, instead appease her. Which lead her to say this, "Jake will make you some food, if you come to the cafeteria."

"What wh---!" Jake says, shocked. Before turning his head to Lily--- Breaking Johnny's golden rule in the process ("Never take your eyes off a potential fight!"). His mouth was promptly cupped by Lily, who had to get on her tip toes to cover his mouth. He didn't want to make Luce food. In fact, he didn't want to be volunteered to do it, either. He didn't like being forced into things, due to Johnny forcing him into things

"Um, don't mind him. He did say that he'll make food for anybody." Lily says, before Jake grabs her arm and throws her hand off his face. He didn't appreciate Lily using his words against him, either. So far, Lily is rapidly dropping in his relations.

Meanwhile, Drake felt an urge. Now having his suspicions about Luce being a smoker was confirmed. He was considering something very depraved. So depraved that he was going to consider something that'd make the rest of the group question him. If Victoria was here, she'd definitely be punching him in the face for this. "So, uh, can you spare a cigarette or two...?" After he spoke, he looked at everyone in the group.

Their faces, to him, just said; So judging you right now.

"A simple deal. Sure."
Emily was pleased that Charles accepted, not that he really had a choice. If he wanted out of here that was. She was eager to get started, but first she wanted to give him a hand. Not out of kindness, but necessity. While looking for books isn't an arduous task, she would be surprised if he could walk normally. Emily would do it herself, but she wasn't familiar with much of the academy. She really hoped he wasn't too prideful to let her patch him up.

Charles wrote:
"There is a really big library in the dorms. I don't know what's going on in there, but we can look."
So the books she was looking for might not even be here. Then again she was looking for some specialized books. Some education wing Emily thought to herself. Why wouldn't college text books be found here? The age range extends beyond high school... maybe they're afraid of mutants like me getting their hands on them. She replied "Lets have a look around first, we might just get lucky."

Charles wrote:
"I'll be fine, but, what exactly can you do to help me?"
So he cautious, and understandably so. "I can do everything except heal it. Kill infection, alleviate the pain, even make it seem like you were never wounded." Emily paused to let him take that in, then continued. She anticipated the next question he'd likely ask. "I'm not at liberty to go into any more detail." Her tone hardened "I don't doubt that you can manage yourself, but you'll regret declining my offer if we run into anything."

Luce may not have been able to do much past basic arithmetic, or dissect a novel's themes in an essay, but she was by no means a fool. She was sharp, if untrained, and she'd been through enough rough scrapes to figure out the simple rule-if you watch your enemy long enough, he'll tell you everything.

And in this case, "everything" was the way Jake kept his hand pressed to that glass wall. He had to have direct contact with it to keep it up, then? She could shoot around the wall, she was confident-but she kept that in mind for future reference. He will leave the wall to help the others. Would've been easier to just shield himself... Divide and conquer, then. An old stratagem, but a nonetheless effective one. Against such numbers? She may have had superior firepower (in the conventional sense), experience, and the element of surprise, but she was outnumbered in a bad way. A few shots and she'd bolt if things got dicey.

Luce's emotions betrayed her, however, for a brief moment when the school's name was dropped. These kids were all sent letters? Then how the hell did she get here? Did her father...no, couldn't have. He knew...She regained composure soon enough, but an irritated vibe simmered just underneath her scarred features-she was being f*cked with, not by these teenage wannabes, not by the cartels a few thousand miles away (hopefully), but by somebody else. Somebody with a lot of money and ooze-walkers on their side. It merited a frown.

"I knew I liked you. You know how to flatter a woman, calling her such sweet names. You're right, darling, I don't. Come over here and unbuckle this bandolier and they're all yours." Luce gave a wink, which took a bit of extra facial emphasis on her part to convey the fact she was winking and not just blinking. She kept her gaze focused primarily on the boy touching the forcefield-his disapproval was visible in his features, and she wasn't winning him over anytime soon. She didn't blame him, in all honesty-she was happy to let these kids rot in here as soon as they pointed her towards the door. "And taking precautions is always wise...I think you Americans have a saying, 'measure twice, cut once'? I guess it applies to carpentry or circumcisions or something." The girl, Lily, introduced herself, and Luce listened closely. She wasn't a fighter, she was a thinker, and it took her a while to speak up. Spoke with authority, though. Or assumed authority. There wasn't much difference, in Luce's opinion. "Luciana Rojas. Call me Luce or La Cordera. The last one's for business. Or pleasure, if you're up for it." Luce tapped the butt of her gun, with this line, simply to make things...strange. She had given them her real name, true, but she doubted it would really come back to haunt her-the rest of her persona seemed...blurry. There was no way of knowing, from her tone or body language, whether or not any of her casual flirting or one-liners were serious or not: she could've been entirely clueless or completely screwing with all of them, and it was more than likely a partial mix of both. These kids didn't look like the real dangerous type. Besides, Lily had presumably given Luce her real name, and it was the courteous thing to do to return the favor. Luce grinned, watching the glass boy flip out at Lily's offer on his behalf. This was too good. She didn't plan on staying long, but they were a dynamic group, at least. "I'd gladly take a meal if he's cooking. Any man that can make a window pane look so spotless must be good at cooking too, hmm? You do requests?" Luce pulled out a pack of cigarettes, walking calmly towards the barrier. She was primed and ready to draw, fire, scream and run should they react violently, but they weren't going to. Just as she wasn't going to, but they were both going to keep acting like they might, just in case they were wrong. Mind games. Such fun. She held the pack of cigarettes out for Drake to take, once the glass shield was down. "Hope you don't care too much about your, ah, what are they..." Luce paused, tapping at the center of her chest, where her lungs were. "Eh, I forget the name. I take the filters out, makes them more tasteful, you know?"

Crystal winced when she heard the footsteps echo through the hallways. Another fight? She can't fight, though! Ugh, she really needed a weapon. Crystal winced when she saw Luce. The girl's appearance made her nervous. And the way she talked so casually, as if she could face all of them in a fight. She didn't trust this Luce girl one bit. Huh, was this the first person she didn't trust just by looks? Weird... The guns Luce had didn't help Crystal's opinion on the girl, either. Lucky for her Jack mad a bullet-proof glass illusion. They were safe then, right?

It was then Lily volunteered Jake to cook Luce some food, and covered Jake's mouth before he could deny the volunteerment. Crystal chuckled to herself, finding the situation a little amusing as the girl accepted the meal. They were offering food to a stranger when there's a killer on the loose? Nice.

Then Drake asked for a cigarette. Great. How desprate can a guy get? Crystal winced when Luce said there were no filters, taking the liberty to mention the dangers it had for one's lungs. Crystal's mind quickly began thinking of a worst-case-scenario as she smiled, trying to seem like she was joking though there was honesty in her words, "I won't take care of a self-inflicted lung disease."

Jesse

'Self-preservation? Oh, CENSORED that. I'd rather walk around an abandoned building stretching who knows how God damn far, in the dark, looking for absolutely nothing'.
Jesse bitterly thought to himself. He had found himself in the building after he passed out in front of the entrance, as is supposedly the standard procedure. Since then, he has heard faint echos throughout the long, extensive corridors. A blanket of darkness obscured his vision and concealed anything that hid within it. It was an incredibly unnerving setting, and to say that the young man was scared was putting it lightly. His heart was racing and he had no idea where he was. 'When there's freaking noises in the hall no less, no sign of anybody, what the hell am I even doing here!"

His thoughts only made him angrier as they progressed which, while it helped him cope with the fear, began to have him talk to himself aloud. "Why would they even send those stupid letters out just to send us to leave us in an abandoned school-- town-- whatever! Bah!"

Jesse sighed, combing back his long brown hair with his hand and pinched the bridge of his nose. Okay, alright. First things first, see if there's anybody here. Next, look for food. Unless he actually does find some people, and they happen to be murderers-- dammit, really? Great, I'm just making myself nervous again. Slowing down and pacing his breathing, he proceeded down the hallway keeping his hand in contact with the wall beside him. He was able to walk quietly with relative ease and he kept his ears tuned in case he heard anything. Nothing yet. He expected there to be a couple more transfer students like himself, otherwise he didn't know what to expect. There had to be other people who had gotten letters. He couldn't have been so special -- or unfortunate -- to get a letter that wasn't supposed to have been sent. To think that his life was just beginning to shape up: he got his act together in school, family issues were beginning to settle, he had friends again, and there was a girl. But no, here he is in this dump. With no method of communi-- wait, do I have my phone? Jesse checked his pockets. Nothing. Damn, he must have left it in the duffel bag back in the... on second thought never mind, no. He didn't bring it with him. The school seemed anal about outside communication, something about security protocol. Makes sense, I guess.

As he walked down the corridor, a sound echoed through the air and Jesse's heart froze. His chest tightened and his breaths were short and sharp. His eyes dilated. He heard a noise, he knew he did and it came from up ahead too. Just the smallest crack of light touched the floor maybe a hundred feet away - it was hard to tell, the shadowy thicket obstructed his vision and even his depth perception. It was dizzying. He moved as silently as he could, and as he came closer, it struck him. There's somebody here. The prospect clutched his heart. He was excited, of course, but also terribly terrified. He didn't know if they were dangerous or not, whether they were friendly or not. It took a great deal of bravery (and curiosity) for Jesse to inch closer, and was then able to make out a couple words from the voice he was hearing.

"...she's like a cat when it comes to water."

It was a man. That much was for certain.

"What'd you say Taylor? We make a great team."

Taylor. There was more than one! At least three, even, if you could this "she" person! But the name Taylor. It sounded familiar... no, it couldn't be. She wasn't a... freak, like he was. Nevermind that, there are people here. What could he do, though? He could say hi and get attacked, or finally see another friendly face... something made him want to take that risk. He didn't know what their... what do you call it, "abilities", were. He didn't know how strong they were, but worst comes to worst he could at least run back into the darkness of the academy. Pretty good at hiding after all.

It took a moment for him to build up the kind of courage necessary to act -- and he almost didn't. But he managed to stand up and softly knock on the door three times. The sound resonated through the hall. He was too choked up to say anything, but right now he was as light on his feet as he has ever been, ready to run like the wind if need be.

*

Damon

Of course it was going to happen. Home, refuge, a job -- a purpose; after all the years of running away and hardship he had to endure, of course it was going to go away. It was far too good to be true, there's always a catch. But how could have Damon known that catch would've been the lights going out and everyone suddenly disappearing? Now his only purpose, it seems, is to wander the dark halls for the rest of his stay (which could be who knows how long) and occasionally coming across a lost and frightened meta-human that was sent here and helping them out in what way he could. They typically asked for the way out, which Damon would provide, but failed to heed his warnings about how the security measures were still, curiously enough, online. So they get killed the second they step outside, and then the blood is on his hands. And they people that do heed his warnings? They eventually go insane during isolation and make a run for it. And then they get killed. He learned not to share that kind of information with just anybody anymore, now he just does what he can to help them survive. But yes, Sparrowdale Academy going dark, quite a curious condition indeed.

Damon has looked into it a couple times himself, did what he could to get one of the computers up and running. Unfortunately, without the generator, the whole place was as dead as 70's disco. Some rooms might have access to light, yeah, but those rooms didn't have computers that were good enough to crack the system, nor were they able to even connect to the system, as they operated primarily between users as a method of communication, and had access to virtual textbooks. Not even internet, IP is traceable even by the police. There are many more dangerous people capable of doing that even with their eyes closed. Hell, Damon could probably do it with his eyes closed while riding a horse. While drinking. Drinking scotch.

Really, for all the safety procedures that the academy invested in, they really botched it up this time. Could've at least done something with the security cameras so they aren't so useless.

That's one project he could do while he's here. He's more in touch with computer, but really it should be more a matter of rewiring them, right? If he could direct some power from one of the active dorms, direct it to a surveillance room and rewire one or two of the cameras straight to the computer instead of the actual system, he could probably give himself something to do. Too bad he can't work it back to the administration wing. Too far, and it isn't even attached to the main building. Gotta wonder how Winter is doing. Probably faring better than he is right now.

The man continued to walk through the Othergrounds, unfazed by the darkness, his nerves untouched by the silence. Sometimes this is all he'd do in his spare time. He gets lost, of course. Frequently even. But what else has he to do? Looking for something interesting is all he has now. He thought about ditching this place - maybe he could, but he didn't know exactly HOW big the security system was, he just knew of the guns outside. It was too big of a risk he didn't want to take, anyways. Someone still has to take care and help out the strays that gradually comes here. Something or someone must be keeping the mailing system under control, computers aren't so good that they're able to recognize meta-humans as reports come up. Anyways, it's only a matter of time until this place gets up and running, one way or another. He may just have to be the catalyst for that.

As he walked and weaved around corners, Damon heard quite a ruckus not too terribly far behind him. The sound of someone banging and smashing filing cabinets, fluttering papers. He felt his insides crawl anxiously and he took a breath to calm himself and his... system... down. He turned around and walked towards the sound, not entirely worried about the noise his footsteps were making. He was unaware of the tragedies that have taken place, or the dastardly no-gooder that stalked the dim corridors. The sound came from a couple meters ahead. Footsteps were coming his direction. "Hello?" Damon called, his voice laced with a curious tone as opposed to anything nervous, scared, or suspicious.

When he turned the corner he faced two young people, a man and a woman. The woman looked to be older than the boy, who appeared still to be a teenager. The woman seemed particularly distressed. "Uh..." Damon muttered. Clearly, he wasn't very sure what to say. "Do either of you need help? You look lost."

'Maybe she'll be charmed by my handsome face and attractive figure,' Damon sarcastically joked to himself, mostly being a defense mechanism so that he doesn't make himself too anxious. 'Really, anything so that they don't blast lightning at me or fling me across the room like most of the lost transits nowadays.'

Seriously, this place is creepy and all, yeah. But something is causing all these newcomers to completely go off the edge, something is getting to them.

'So maybe it isn't just... "me".'

"Well, we do make an excellent team..." Taylor smirked, running a hand through her light blonde hair. She thought about Johnny's offer for a moment. Once more, Taylor was in danger. She didn't know how powerful Hunter was, having only seen him one time after killing Pestilence. Blood swords sounded dangerous, though, and if this traitor did his homework, he would certainly drench Gabe the moment she tried to attack. Yet again, she was sure the traitor would have electricity too. Still, Johnny needed her for his team. The idea of searching for dead bodies seriously rubbed Taylor the wrong way, having seen her sister dead earlier, but if someone didn't find it, then Hunter would be able to pass off the suspicions. Johnny sure as hell knew which strings to pull to get her to fall apart.

"Ce que l'enfer?" she said, turning so she sat up straight "I'm in. Nobody else is going to die today. Also, you might want to check out-" Taylor was interrupted by a knocking at the door another person? She was slightly wary of new faces now, as Ryan had sort of freaked her out with the whole telepath vibe.

"Um, you might want to get that." She said, looking over at the door with a combination of fear and curiosity. She drew the water from the water bottle again, and created an orb of water between her and the door. If whoever was on the other side attacked, they'd have to go through her first.

Nick and Dragonfly

Nick nodded back to Faith, but did not drop his guard until Livvy confirmed that she indeed know this giant lizard man. "He's... my best friend." she said. She looked like she had been crying recently. A little girl wouldn't lie about not being held against her will by a giant lizard would she? He didn't think so at least, but he had no experience being a little girl. Faith might've been able to more accurately guess what was going through her mind. "Are you two boyfriend and girlfriend?" She said, immediately following up on her previous statement. What a subject change.

Nick was slightly caught off guard by this, but slowly stood up straighter, and lowered his hands back to his side as a sign that he wouldn't cause trouble if they didn't. He took a step back and clasped his hand with Faith's, and interlaced his fingers with hers. "Yes. This is my girlfriend, Faith. My name is Nick." He said in a way that had a hint of pride in it. He kept one hand clenched, and ready in case he needed to use his powers. Caden had nailed it into his head that he needed to be cautious at all times around meta humans he just met. The meeting with the skulls was awkward, despite being brief. Caden had taught him the do's and dont's after that. It's probably what kept him alive in many situations. But that was beside the fact. The lizardman let go of the little girls hand and crossed his arms around his chest and had a small smile on his face.

Dragonfly's smile quickly faded however, as he remembered the topic at hand. He needed to tell Nick was was going on in the Othergrounds and why he had come to him for help. "Nick, why dont we sstep into the hall? I have to talk to you." Dragonfly said. "Livvy, why dont you hang out with Faith while me and Nick talk? Ssome... girl time, right?" Dragonfly said, trying to convince the girl to let him step out willingly for a few minutes. He then turned around and stepped out into the hall, his long tail following closely behind him. Nick furrowed his brow as Dragonfly stepped out. What was this about? He began walking to follow him into the hall, but cast Faith a look that said 'I'll be back in a few minutes'. As soon as he stepped out into the hallway, Dragonfly closed the door behind him, causing him to jump. "Dont do that!" Nick said threateningly. He was never one that liked surprises. "Ssorry for sscaring you. But thiss needss to be ssaid behind clossed doorss." Dragonfly explained.

The great reptile allowed himself to fall back against the hallway wall with a light thud, before he turned to Nick and looked him over. "How long have you been at the Othergroundss? I haven't sseen you around before." Dragonfly questioned. Nick sighed in relief, finally, some direction to the conversation. "I've been here little over an hour, mate. Things have been weird as all hell since I got here." Nick replied. Dragonfly stared at him for a moment, before he sighed himself, but not in relief. "Then you dont know." Dragonfly said. "Know what?" Nick questioned, furrowing his eyebrows together. "You dont know what'ss been happening in thiss... hell." Dragonfly replied. Nick opened his mouth to respond, but Dragonfly cut him off. "The sschool iss inhabited by many meta humanss. One of uss has turned on the resst. Attacking and making attemptss on ssome of our livess. I have a friend who told me to come to you in a time of need." Dragonfly said. "Thiss... traitor, made an attempt on some of the animal meta humanss a few minutess ago. He or sshe was armed with weaponry-" Dragonfly said. "Wait wait wait, what kind of weaponry?" Nick said, cutting the reptillian man off.

"They were armed with flasshbangss, and grenadess." Dragonfly answered. Nick's jaw dropped. GRENADES? That... this was serious. This person wanted to kill them. "I came to you and Faith sso you cold protect Livvy." Dragonfly explained. "Sshe nearly broke down earlier, as a few otherss were disscusssing their attacking plan right in front of her. Livvy iss only eight, and hass only been at the sschool for a few dayss. Sshe wass terrified. And with the traitor targeting animal metass..." Dragonfly said, trailing off. "You want us to protect her when you cant?" Nick said, finishing Dragonfly's sentence for him. "Physsically, emotionally, and mentally, when I cant, yess. The fact that you two dating explainss a lot about why my friend told me about you." Dragonfly said. "Speaking of which, who is your friend?" Nick replied back. Dragonfly said nothing to this at first. "That'ss not important."

Nick sighed at the answer and decided to change the subject. "Do we have any idea who this... Traitor is?" he asked. "None at all. We have ssusspectss, but no ssolid evidence yet." Dragonfly replied lowly. Nick grumbled at this in discomfort. So he was stuck and would be defending two people and himself from whoever was out there? "People will be on edge, and will mosst likely be disstrusstful of you at first. Dont take it perssonal, jusst... do asss they ssay. You sshould be fine. If you meet anyone who goess by the name of Drake or Victoria, tell them that you are Dragonfly'ss friend. They will help you out." Dragonfly said, trying to give Nick a place to start. "So who are the suspects?" Nick asked. "I want to know who to be wary of." Dragonfly shifted uncomfortably at this. "I dont know all of them..." Dragonfly said. "But I do know they ssusspect me asss one of them."

Nick said nothing to this. "Will you trusst me and take care of Livvy?" Dragonfly asked, grabbing hold of Nick's shoulders in an almost begging manner. "Yes, for now." Nick replied. "For now."

Nobody

A dying person in need of help when no help could come was always an unfortunate predicament. No one could help, as no one was there. In hindsight, that was a very ironic statement. Knowing itself, it would be there to help the creature, as it would play it's part later. Everyone in this place known as Othergrounds played a crucial part in each other's stories. He would only play a minimal part in those he interacted with, and stopping someone from playing their part of the story? That would be wrong.

And so it came to Capri in her time of need. She was trapped in the roots of large kelp plants underwater. She had gone unconscious by now, and she was dying in her sleep. At least it would've been one of the more pleasant ways to go. It's body was nothing but a small white cloudy substance, that looked almost exactly like a white puffy cloud found in the sky, which formed the body of mannequin, a pure white, faceless being. This was only when no one was looking. The water played no part in how it moved underwater. It did not swim, it simply walked along the bottom of the lake as a normal person would on land. It floated up to Capri's level, and took a look at what the situation was. It already knew how much time it had to untangle the poor meta. It just wanted to know where to do so.

It started with the head area. It had no fear of Capri coming back to consciousness and biting it. She would simply pass through. So it worked to free the dying fish. It's hands seemed to cut through the kelp like a hot knife through butter, and soon enough, the giant fish was free. The fish did not look as big as she actually was. Her main body was a third the size of her tail, which made her look more eel than shark, but it knew better. It knew what she had been before she had Omnicroned.

"Capri... wake up, you're free." Nobody whispered to the shark. "You are alive... act like it." It felt it's body warp. It became female once again. She was only five foot five, and had straw colored hair that went down to her shoulders. Her face was round, and she knew she had hazel eyes and a light sprinkling of freckles across the bridge of her noes. She wore worn blue jeans and a stained T-Shirt that looked like it had seen plenty in it's days. However, despite what the laws of physics might say, her clothing and hair acted as they would on land. As Capri, or Frillerfang woke up, she would immediately realize that this was not a regular meta human, as strange as that may sound. Her lack of need to breath and the inability to get wet showed that.

"Good. We'll go by and find Gabe, if she's taking this long; then she's probably having a-" Johnny cut himself off, as well when he heard the knocking. He had no idea who it'd be... And that was half the fun. There's no chance that it could have been any of his siblings. Gabe doesn't have a reason to knock, Sylvia's too rude to knock, and Jake would have just walked in if he knew Johnny was in here. He stood straight up, and hazily threw his pimp hat on to his head. He looked in the direction of the knocking curiously. He tilted his head downward--- Which made his hat slide off his head, comically. Causing him a slight annoyance, but he'd tolerate it. Johnny focused, and tried to pick up all of the Emotional-Presences in the area. There was one aside from them, right outside that door. Who it was was anybody's idea. Could be Hunter, ready to kill them... Now he regrets letting Lexy leave so easily. He should have broke her legs, making it hard for her to crawl back to her partner. Next person won't be so lucky. He stopped focusing and narrowed his eyes. It was time for action. Thus far; there hasn't been a Meta-human that's ever caused him significant harm.

Taylor had put up a barrier of water, and spoke to him like she wanted him to handle this. He knew he'd have to be the one to handle this. He always is. Anyone else would screw it up. While he was getting rather angry, with wasting his fuel, this was all necessary. Protecting himself and everyone in his interest was his top priority. He smirked and knelt over to pick up his hat. Johnny promptly transformed into his Emotional Energy Form as he adjusted his hat onto head, holding it by it's top. A white light, with a static-like pattern, enshrouded his being, as a pulse of various colors traveled across him left to right. He was hardened, and much faster in this state. Hopefully, this will be resolved quickly.

Immediately, after transforming he smirked and looked up. He made both of his hands into finger guns and leveled his elbow at shoulder level. Bending his elbow upwards, having both of his finger guns pointed at the ceiling. He was ready to deliver a Devil Kiss without remorse. Now, Johnny knew there was a person here, he just needed to find out who--- He would rush in there, but that'd be stupid, even with his speed and resistance. It'd be better if this stranger comes to them. That way, the moment he's seen; he'll have a finger gun leveled with his eye-ball. And Johnny knows full and well that his Devil Kisses can take out someone's eye. "Hey, who's there? Can you show yourself...?" Johnny called out to the newcomer, it took all of his restraint not to use a sarcastic tone.

Because, the newcomer is in for a surprise.

While everyone else looked tense, scared or generally untrusting of Luce, Drake found her to be quite entertaining. Nonchalantly flirting with him, and spouting out one liners, this was probably some game to her. But, Drake knew that it was because she either knows that she can take all of them at once, or because she has no intentions of harming them--- As long as they don't harm her, which won't occur (As long as everyone uses their head). Drake turned his head and looked at the rest of the group--- Briefly wondering what they thought about all of this. Before promptly focusing back to Luce. Despite the jokes; she is still a threat. He gave her an amused smirk, and narrowed his eyes. He had a mischievous face on. Not afraid to show off that he's taking her less and less seriously. He put his left hand on his chin. He spoke in a false flirty tone of his own, because two can play at that game, "Heh. No thanks, babe. You look like a real quick shooter. You'd probably put five in my head before I even get close...." He made a finger gun gesture with his left hand, and poked it to the side of his head. Making the gun-to-head gesture.

Okay, a dangerous maniac is here, and you're trying to... God.... Lily thinks to herself as her eyes wandered in the direction of Drake. Before focusing back on Luce. They seemed to be engaged in a game here. Lily didn't approve of it, but she kept it all bottled up. Now wasn't the time to scold Drake, when she's the somewhat scared one here. Just don't cross the line. We're at stake here too. She thought to herself, wising that she was a telepath.

"Luciana Rojas. Call me Luce or La Cordera. The last one's for business. Or pleasure, if you're up for it."
"Oh, uh, nice to meet you!" Lily says, in a nervous tone. She felt a bit uncomfortable about the "pleasure" part of Luce's response--- Well, if she was being honest with herself; Luce in general made her uncomfortable. More uncomfortable than the Oozium or the Zizz made her. Because honestly, this made her feel a strange kind of fear. Like, she as unsure of what Luce's exact intentions were. Was Luce going to attack? Was Luce going to stay calm and play nice? Or was it all one big act? Lily didn't know, and she was hoping that, despite whatever the hell is going on in Luce's head, they could avoid each other. The first step was giving her some food, then shipping her away and never hearing from her again. Since Luce told her name, Lily was hoping that everyone else gives there's.

"Heh, that's a nice name, Luce. My name is Drake Blackmore. The resident Thunder God." I bring the boom. Drake says to Luce in a polite and casual tone. He was causally dropping a hint of his power. Since everyone mostly regarded him as an Electric-type Meta-human, and were unaware of his true Power Replicator ability, he decided to go with that. If it came down to it; he would have to transform into his Thunder Form and strike down Luce--- The only problem with that plan is the window of opportunity Luce will have as he transforms. Anyone worth their salt will take advantage of that.

Initially, Jake was hesitant to give out his name to Luce. Since she is, more or less, an enemy in his eyes. However, he knew that she'd get his name one way or another. Everyone else here knows his name... Well, Drake, and Lily do. Then he remembered the animal-type Meta-humans; that were doing nothing as the three spearheaded the conversation. Poor animal-types; so petrified in fear that they can't even move! He thought to himself. Jake spoke hesitantly, and as he spoke, he shrugged; "I guess, you're going to find out eventually; my name is Jake." What's the worse someone possibly could do just by knowing your name?

Shade Forgot His Password wrote:
"I'd gladly take a meal if he's cooking. Any man that can make a window pane look so spotless must be good at cooking too, hmm? You do requests?"
Yeah, just let me spice it up with my secret ingredient; rat poison, so you can finally f*ck off. Jake thinks to himself as he narrows his eyes at Luce. He really didn't like the newcomer at all. The way she looked, the way she talked; just bugged him. He may have just been being harsh here. There could just be a gentle kitten, under all toughness and guns, in Luce, they just haven't found it yet. And he could just be judging a book by it's cover... Then again, whoever said 'don't judge a book by it's cover' is a dumbass. Jake thought to himself as he shook his head. He was also pretty pissed off at Lily for volunteering him to make the woman food. Twisting his own words against him, but he was more concerned about Luce. Now, if Johnny was here; they'd already be halfway into a death match by now. As good as that would be to watch; he figured that they could peacefully resolve this. From the way he saw it; he doesn't have to follow Lily's orders, but he will. Just to help get rid of Luce so they can finally get along with their little adventure. "I'll make you one meal. That's it. You'll have to find your own food after that, there on." Jake spoke with a venomous tone, and crossed his arms--- Taking his hand of the illusion. Jake turned his head towards Lily and snapped at her, "... And Lily, do not force me into anything like this, again." He directed his attention back to Luce.

"Sorry... But..." Lily says to Jake in an apologetic tone. She was legitimately sorry, but she knew that it'd be best to just give Luce some food. Because, she knew that Luce wouldn't respond positively--- Plus, what's the problem with giving her one meal? It's not like Jake was giving up a arm or leg. The food he was making was something they fought, and lost a life, for. He should suck it up and get it over with. Lily quickly shrugged off all apologetic thoughts, and resumed her usual authoritative demeanor, "... I will talk to you about it later."

Shade Forgot His Password wrote:
"Hope you don't care too much about your, ah, what are they..." Luce paused, tapping at the center of her chest, where her lungs were. "Eh, I forget the name. I take the filters out, makes them more tasteful, you know?"
Jake found it a bit funny that Luce didn't know what lungs were. A smile crept on his face, as he quietly chuckled. He couldn't help but be a wise-@ss here, "They're called lungs. You see; they help you breathe." He said in a subtle, yet sarcastic tone. Since he was pretty much mocking Luce here.

When he was presented cigarettes; Drake treated it like he was about to be handed the holy grail. In his head; angels were singing and the box was enshrouded with a holy light. He didn't care about them not having a filter, all he needed was his nicotine fix, when the urge came around. Reaching for them slowly, totally forgoing all logic that this could possibly be a trap. When his hand touched the illusion, he promptly snapped out of it. Drake couldn't get the cigarette due to the solid nature of Jake's illusion. He kept that exact pose, still with his hand touching the illusion (Wow, this really feels like real glass!). Only body part that Drake moved was his head, which was promptly turned towards Jake. "So, uh, bud? Can you drop the illusion for a second?" He curiously asks. All this point; Drake looked like a desperate idiot. Asking for and getting cigarettes from crazy looking strangers. Everyone else, younger than him, were totally judging him.

"Really dude?" Jake says, giving Drake a glare that just said "Are you serious?" He, personally, didn't care that Drake was trying to so hard to destroy his lungs; but right now he was putting the entire group at risk. Before he did anything, he snapped his fingers and crafted several more illusions. He made another panel of bullet-proof glass behind the three, to protect the animal-metas behind them. Then he created a smooth, round dome of bullet-proof glass around himself and Lily. To shield them from harm should Luce attack. He choose not to put a dome around Drake; as he was the one who wanted to tempt fate. All these illusions he was crafting, were putting strain on him. A droplet of crimson blood came out of his right nostril, and left a trail of red behind. Jake felt a bit of pain. The illusions in the cafeteria, the illusions here... He would have to drop some of them soon enough. So they could get through this faster; Jake made the illusion in front of him, the one between themselves and Luce, intangible. It was no longer solid, nor could it be felt. He was going to just let Luce think that he can only create glass. That he isn't the Master Illusionist. "It's down... Just stick your hand through." You cigarette fiend. If Luce, by any chance, tried to take advantage of this; there's still the illusions that were guard himself and Lily. Drake is on his own here.

Immediately, Drake reached through the illusion and quickly grabbed the cigarette carton out of Luce's hand. He wanted to be quick so that nobody tries anything. The moment that Drake got those cigarettes, Jake made the illusion solid again. He looked at the carton of cigarettes, before promptly putting them in the pocket of his jacket. He just was reminded that he didn't thank Luce. While she was shady, she did offer him her cigarettes without even asking for anything in return--- Probably did want something for later, but he'll cross that bridge when he gets to it. "Thank you so much, I needed these!"

Hunter & Victoria

"Hello?" Damon called
Immediately, the duo stopped dead in their tracks when they heard the newcomer call from around the corner. They couldn't immediately see him, so they were a bit spooked. The first thing that came to mind was take precautions. Much like almost everyone else in the school would. There's a Traitor running amok, and the power went out a few minutes ago (Only coming back online very recently). They aren't going to take risks no matter what happened. Hunter, while holding a Blood-sword in each hand, opened up the left side of his blood stained trench coat, revealing the long, eldritch, blood-daggers in his pockets. Three of them were stored in a compartment. When combined with Victoria's telekinesis; they can be quite dangerous. "Victoria." He blankly says, keeping his attention straight ahead of himself.

The very second that Hunter revealed his daggers, Victoria used her acquired power of telekinesis to lift them out of his trench coat. She levitated the three daggers in front of them. Hoping that the newcomer isn't... Oh crap! Victoria thought to herself, they probably have gotten across a message that they're hostile. Something that she didn't want to come across. She was peaceful until provoked. Victoria called back out to Damon in a worried tone, "Um, whoever's there! We aren't going to attack you-" Unless you do something first "-This is just a...  Precaution!" Please god don't attack us. Drake is no where near here. Victoria thinks to herself.

Lieo wrote:
"Uh..." Damon muttered. Clearly, he wasn't very sure what to say. "Do either of you need help? You look lost."
Honestly, neither of them knew what to say when the guy peaked from around the corner and spoke to them. Victoria thought that this was some sort of trick, and didn't want to answer Damon's question right off the bat. They weren't lost, but they could use some help. Victoria certainly wasn't going to tell him what they were doing right off the hat. Hunter wasn't too much of a people's person, he would allow Victoria to handle this. She spoke to Damon, "Who exactly are you? I am Victoria." In a curious tone. She literally had no idea on what else to say.

Charles

At least it appeared that Emily noted Charles's recommendation for the library. That he didn't waste his breathe. He nodded contently. He was going to help her find the books anywhere. As long as she doesn't ask for too much. If anything goes wrong, he feels as if he'd be strong enough to carry himself to the hospital. Without bleeding to death. "Alright. Lead the way. There's a room down the hallway that had a few books. We can start there." He spoke in a soft tone, there was indeed a room with a few books, except it was torn up during the fight with the Oozium. Some of the books might be as operable.

True Night wrote:
"I can do everything except heal it. Kill infection, alleviate the pain, even make it seem like you were never wounded." Emily paused to let him take that in, then continued. She anticipated the next question he'd likely ask. "I'm not at liberty to go into any more detail." Her tone hardened "I don't doubt that you can manage yourself, but you'll regret declining my offer if we run into anything."
"Actually..." The nativity of Charles quickly changed his mind. Getting an infection and getting rid of this pain sounded like a good idea. He could do much better without this aching pain. It may have been a stupid idea, but Charles is a take-things at face value, as long as it sounds good, kind of guy. "That's a good idea. Do it." He extended his hand all the way out to Emily. Hoping that she doesn't kill him.

Willow & Nicole

Bones and Nicole both started to fully regain their senses, the flash grenades finally starting to wear off, so they could see and hear properly the events going on around them. Bones immediately returned to her typical scowl, which made her look no less ill-tempered than she typically did. She wasn't one to normally pick fights, but for some reason, the fact that Luce was flirting with someone aggravated her, as the situation was hardly appropriate for it, and she wasn't exactly in the best of moods. Bones looked, as she usually did when she was having a bad day, like she might snap at the next person who so much as even thought about directly addressing her. She had just gotten in one fight, and the wounds left over still stung a bit, though her immune system prevented infections. She hadn't gotten enough sleep, thanks to the loud boom in the distance, and she had lost her vision temporarily because she had been attacked by a maniac already. She couldn't believe that cigarettes were coming up at a time like this.

Nicole, finally shaking off the last of her hard-hearing from the flash grenades, flattened her feathers with disapproval. She knew smoking was an addiction, and she shouldn't judge, but it was hard not to when the smell made her want to gasp for breath like she was beginning to suffocate. Based upon her mindset, there were a million different kinds of smoke based on what was burned. However, the difference was that while some things smelled pleasant, others, such as rubber, for example, smelled truly awful. It used to make her nose burn, and it still did the same for her beak, now. She clenched her beak tight, preventing herself from saying something unfriendly that might provoke a fight.

Capri

The fish-meta, although formerly human, looked more like a sea monster than anything else, and unlike most animal-metas, had nothing ridiculous about her appearance due to animal traits being fused with human ones. Nothing about her build indicated an original human skeleton, although there had once been large fins where her legs were once present, now faded to pelvic fins that were rather small, hardly worth noticing. Her eyes, previously seeming dead, as they had been covered with a milky white film, had actually been covered with special eyelids, which now shot open, revealing pure black eyes with pupils that gleamed white, even in the dimmer light at the bottom of the lake. Although originally round, they were now more oval-like, and a ridge over the eyes made them look narrowed and menacing, regardless of what expression she truly wished to make. Enormous, knife-like teeth jutted from her lower jaw, and truly, her appearance would frighten most.

Frillerfang turned to the one who had spoken to her, a round-faced girl with straw-colored hair and hazel eyes. She didn't seem to pay much attention to how she dressed, her jeans were quite tattered, and her shirt appeared to be smeared with dirt and grass stains, clearly someone who was active outdoors. However, what she found strange, was that first, she was not wet, and the water did not seem to affect her at all. Frillerfang could not even place a scent on her, when her sense of smell in the water surpassed any known creature on land. She hissed slightly, and her entire body began to wriggle as she swam slightly higher, so as to escape the clumps of roots she had been tangled in, her gills pumping water so she could get oxygen to her groggy brain. Was she just imagining this, or did this girl really help her get out of the roots?

Drawing the upper part of her body up, she stilled her fins so that she could float in one place. Her jaw worked, as a black forked tongue formed words in water, sounding clear, as no air bubbles distorted her voice when the sound traveled through its medium. "How do you walk on the lake bed, stranger? You've saved me, but yet you ain't wet, and you have no smell." She immediately asked. A strange way to start a conversation, but Frillerfang wasn't good with social skills. When your face scared people, you didn't have a lot of friends to talk to.

Jesse

"Hey, who's there? Can you show yourself...?"
Jesse heard. It was the boy who was speaking, his voice just slightly strained, almost anxious. He noticed a pause before they answered his knocking. He might have alarmed them, which would explain their question. It was a peculiar question. Almost as if this place made them as nervous as he was - maybe not as much, but didn't know what was here. For all Jesse knew, his fear could be a little over the top or completely justified. From their perspective of course. From his own perspective, he was dropped right in the middle of an abandoned building, he was utterly justified in his anxiety. Regardless of that, he still had to confront the two here. Jesse twisted the doorknob and smoothly opened the door. "Uh, hey it's okay. It's just... just me, I guess."

Well that was a stupid thing to say, really. "It's just me", like how are they supposed to know who "me" is? He hadn't a clue what he was supposed to say, his name? They hadn't asked for his name they asked "who's there" and "can you show yourself". Though one can get the idea that "who's there" would imply asking who a certain person is, but they wouldn't have known who he was. Though it'd probably help, knowing the name of a person coming in. Attaching a name to a thing or person can personalize it a little more. And for all he knew, they were expecting someone else.

He poked his head in, his blue eyes peering around the corner, his brown hair hanging down. "My name's Jesse--"

Jesse barely had the time to finish his sentence before he saw a wall of water and a shining colorful light making the figure of a person like a celestial being. He could have swore his heart stopped upon seeing the display before him. They were certainly on the defensive. The colorful figure's hands were shaped as finger guns - generally innocuous, but CENSORED, he had no idea what he was capable of. Unless he was just a shiny light. But still. No risks. The rate of Jesse's breath was short and sharp and he felt his legs shaking, on the verge of taking him down the hallway and back into the darkness. But he managed to bring himself into the doorway. His attire was harmless and he had no signs of having a weapon on him. If anything, his uneven breathing should give it away.

"My- my name is Jesse... uh, I... I already said that, didn't I?" He stammered, followed by a silent swear. "Ah... damn."

Damon

Damon's heart jumped when strangers' warning had come just as soon as he met the glistening red blades hovering in the air pointed at his direction, the same red luster dimly shining from the young man's hands. Of course, the Othergrounds is the only place where his life is in the hands of teenagers, leaving no choice but to be humbled. An odd connection, really, how the students sent here come off as more and more paranoid than the last, and how their powers seem to be more and more combat oriented. More destructive. He longed for the days when students simply turned invisible, ran fact, flew, teleported, shape-shifted, et cetera. Hell, even Damon. His ability, rather, "curse" being the more suitable description for his freakish nature, had uses besides just causing harm. Regardless, he's in this situation now and nostalgia isn't going to get him out of it. He took a breath to calm his nerves.

"I'm Mr. Viscous," Damon said reassuringly, gently putting hands up to show he meant no harm, "though I guess you can call me Damon now. There's, uh, not much of a school left to be working at anymore. Are you two okay? You seem on edge."

Damon felt his insides crawl anxiously again, which had him feel a little nauseous. He set his hand on his abdomen, and the rustling in his stomach calmed down. He seemed disconcerted though, nothing to draw attention from the two strangers. The girl, Victoria, seem particularly disturbed. The boy was calmer, but hardly any friendlier. All he really could do was hope they were sensible enough to not run him through with whatever they're pointing at him.

For everyone's sake.

Faih smiled as Nick held her hand, feeling calmer as she always did with his presence.  Then Dragonfly asked to speak with Nick. She gave his hand a quick squeeze before letting go. Nick would be fine- he's a very powerful meta human, after all.  Faith had faith in his abilities (see what I did there?) though she still flinched when the door closed.

So it was just her and Livvy in the room.  Faith glanced at the little girl.  What could she talk about?  The girl had obviously been crying earlier, so what if she said the wrong thing and sent her into a fit of tears again?  Faith noted the girl's teddy bear.  When she was little, she had one as well, and even had a name for it as many young girls did for their toys.  That could help with talking. "I, um... er..."  Faith knelt down, to make proper eye contact with the girl.  She pointed at Livvy's teddy bear, "so what's his name?"  Faith smiled, hoping to keep the girl calm.  She just needed to keep Livvy calm, and it would be fine.

Crystal
---

Crystal frowned as she looked from Drake to Luce.  Was this a game to them?  She SO wasn't going to help with any of those two's lungs if they get them hurt.  Then there was second hand smoke, which is said to be worse then first hand.  That meant wasting more psionic energy, worst-case-scenario.  What if someone had asthma? Oh, that wouldn't be good. Crystal broke her smile and glared for the first time at the othergrounds, directing the expression at Drake, "I had seriously warned you.  Please try not to smoke around everyone else- some of us prefer clean, healthy lungs."

Emily didn't turn her head, but nodded as if she knew exactly what he was talking about. "Maybe we'll also find a how things works book, or a biology text book between here and the library." She wondered what Charles thought she was going to do with all these books, it was definitely a strange time to be studying. Presumably he would have guess that it had something to with her power, and as long as that remained a secret she would be fine. It was surprising that she found herself offering to display her gift, especially to someone she knew so little about.

Charles wrote:

She was glad that Charles saw it her way. What Emily was about to do was to ensure her finding the knowledge she sought, combat wasn't a problem for her. "Alright, here goes nothing." This of course was a complete lie, there was nothing normal about her talent. If any mutant could be called normal. Emily raised her hand and a dark cloud slowly filled the room. It concentrated before Charles almost becoming black in color before descending upon him. Then it was gone, and so were his wounds. There was no sign that he had ever been injured aside from tears in his clothes and blood splatters. "Like I said earlier, you're not really healed. Think of it as an advanced ban-aid".

Victoria & Hunter

Victoria hesitated for a moment. She felt really ridiculous that things had to come to holding strangers up at (near) knife-point. But, there was too much at risk here to just leave their guard down. She's necessary for the success of the group, mostly Drake's success. The two need each other equally to get through this. However, she was going to appear as causal and kind as possible, hoping that Damon understands their actions after she explains it to him. She shook his head slowly, like she was disappointed. We need to find that key to the security room. Victoria thought to herself. She wondered what to say to him. If Damon was just another newcomer to be added to their downgrading situation; then there wouldn't be any point in lying about something he's going to find out eventually. Victoria thanked god that Damon ran into them, the more reasoned and sensible members of the group, opposed to the rash and combative younger members that would have attacked on sight. She sighed and looked up at Damon. Victoria spoke to him, trying her best to explain the reasoning behind her actions, "Yeah, everyone here is on edge. There's a killer on the loose, he already killed one person...." Victoria trailed off, keeping the telekinetically lifted daggers steady pointed at Damon--- Then it hit her. She quickly added on, "... But, I'm really not saying that you're the killer. In fact; you're pretty lucky that you ran into us...." Victoria looked at Hunter briefly, before refocusing her gaze back on Damon. Victoria spoke in a near-apologetic tone, "I can't speak for everyone here; but we have some pretty stupid kids running around... The type that'd shoot first. I don't know what you're up to Damon; but some of them will hurt you if you come off as suspicious." Now that she got that off her chest, she felt a little better. Victoria knew that most of the members of the group came off as passive. She knew Drake wouldn't attack anyone without a valid reason, usually he'll fight valiantly someone if he or his friends are attacked. "And before I forget; I'm Victoria Blackmore."

"Hunter." Hunter blankly introduces himself to Damon, after Victoria had introduced.

Johnny

"Hello there! Welcome to Johnathon's super happy fun house! I.E: the wrong f*cking room! Hands in the air, and don't move; or you'll have another hole for f*cking!" Johnny says, in a forced, overexcited, cheer-y tone. With a fake smile! Immediately leveling both of his finger-guns at Jesse's face. Due to the Traitor fiasco, and the previous incident that took place moments ago; Johnny immediately was untrusting of Jesse. Because in his eyes; everyone new is an immediate suspect. This Jesse guy looked and sounded like a complete pushover. He was unimposing, despite having a few features, and sounded completely un-confident and scared. He read Jesse's Emotional Aura, just to get a feel of what's going through the newcomer's head. Jesse was feeling a lot of fear, confusion, anxiousness and a bit of doubt. Possibly Jesse felt fear because someone's pointing. Johnny always kept in mind that even the weakest of people can be given the strongest of all powers. Meaning, he wasn't going to take Jesse lightly no matter what.

His right eye started glowing a bright red for a moment. He spoke again, in a sinister, yet amused tone. Possibly giving Jesse and Taylor the idea that this is all a game to him, "You look like a real push over, but I'm not taking chances... I know from personal experience that with superpowers, even the weakest of people physically, can be quite the threat..." Johnny smiled rather wide. He knew that Jesse had a power by his mere appearance here. He just wanted to know what his power is. "Now, we're going to be here for a little bit... And by little bit, I mean until you answer my questions. So, be a nice little camper and we all get out of this unharmed" He started laughing a little bit. Johnny smirked as his right eye started glowing bright green, "I want to know everything you have on you-" Speaking of which, I need to go check out knife-girl's purse "-And I mean everything. Weapons, food, all the way down to the lint in your pockets... Just don't take off your clothes. No one wants to see that. Plus, I also want to know what you're packing in terms of power."

Charles

As that black cloud filled the room, Charles felt a large amount of regret and fear. He thought that this was all a lie and Emily was going to kill him. Steal his lifeforce or eat his skin or something. "Oh god; I changed my mind, stop!" He shouted, trying to make it all stop. His skin turned black. Then it was all over. Just like that it all disappeared. With all of his wounds gone, and he didn't feel a bit of pain. Like... She was some sort of super healing. "Uhhhh...." Charles moaned for minutes on end, staring at his right hand. Completely appeared to be wound free. Adjusting his wrist so that he can view multiple angles and all. He was astonished that (I wasn't killed for that blatant act of stupidity!) Emily actually cleared up all of his wounds--- And not kill him to death.

For a moment, Charles wondered what the hell Emily even did. If she didn't heal him, what exactly did she do? The questions were piling up as he looked at Emily in awe. But, it didn't matter right now, he felt great and could take on everyone. He will save those for later after he's gotten some actual medical attention. Now, it was time for him to fulfill his part of the deal. Charles covered his mouth and, nonchalantly, fake coughed. "So, it's time for me to do my part? Eh?" He spoke to Emily, "C'mon, I'll lead the way." Charles said as he walked out of the room, stopping at the doorstop and making a "come on" motion with his hand. He lead Emily to that room he spoke of before. Walking down the hallway, which was littered with broken glass, every step they made on the glass made noise. It would have gave away where they were; if they were in danger. I'll keep note if this... Charles thinks to himself as they arrived at the room. The room was where he had brought the battle against the Oozium drone. Thus, the door was smashed down by the beast. The room was a medium sized room, with several desks and chairs broken and overturned, scattered all over the room during the fight. There was plenty of broken shards of glass left behind, by Charles, all over the floor--- Along with every window missing. The heavy rain dropping down outside could be seen. Among the chaos, there was what Emily was likely looking for several different kinds of books. Charles had no idea what these books were, or if they were what Emily is looking for, but they're books. Some of the books were damaged, to varying extents. Charles was the first to step inside the room, and he looked around, "Wow, I really did a number on this room..." He laughs, scratching the back of his head with a gleeful, proud, look on his face. "So, I don't know about the rest of this place, but this is where I saw the most books."

Damon

"A killer?" Damon said in return, his eyes widened in surprise and disbelief. To think that after all this time, of him naively wandering these halls without ever thinking there was something to fret over, there was a murderer on the loose. The very idea of it sounded preposterous, and he didn't want to belief it, but just the look of fear and suspicion in the girl's eyes told them that, killer or not, there was someone or something out there. And to think think there was already a victim? He knew he heard noises, but mostly figured it was a bunch of students causing a ruckus. Now he wasn't so sure. "Now hold up there, er, Victoria. What do you mean there's a killer on the loose? The only people that should be coming into here are teenagers and occasionally a young adult like yourself. Unless..."

God, this was getting really ugly.

Damon shook away those thoughts and proceeded to talk to her calmly. "Look, I really don't know if I should be trusting you. For all I know this could be a sick joke or misunderstanding -- but... I'll help you anyway. Something is definitely wrong here. If there's something I can do, tell me. I know this place pretty well."

This of course didn't mean the academy wasn't a big place. It could take a while, he might make a wrong turn, but he generally knew where he was going. Especially to the Administration wing, that's where he did most of his work anyways. And sometimes the security/surveillance room. Some other rooms occasionally. Before the... incident, of course. He wasn't actually there for the fighting. He was mostly holed up working his ass off. One of his bosses was talking to him about urgent precautions of some sort, something about upping the security measures... oh.

Oh.

*

Jesse

His hands jerked upward over his head, he squeezed his eyes shut in self-castigation. One hell of a move there, now he is in yet another mess... this situation reminds him of his neighborhood back at home, especially given the tasteless choice of threats. Though he honestly was never held at gunpoint before, but there's a first time for everything... that being said, this upped the fear in him by another notch or two. He peeked one of his eyes open, and was able to somewhat identify both of them. Both teenagers. God only knows what kind of upbringing they may have had to choose this as their course of action. Or maybe their powers got to their heads? He heard a couple of stories of how that sometimes happened to people. Frightening tales.

"I want to know everything you have on you, and I mean everything. Weapons, food, all the way down to the lint in your pockets... Just don't take off your clothes. No one wants to see that. Plus, I also want to know what you're packing in terms of power."

As soon as the guy, whom he assumed to be named Johnathan after his colorful and intimidating introduction, dropped that bomb, Jesse's hands went straight to his pockets and pulled them out. A couple dollars dropped on the floor, as did a bottlecap and a RiteAid receipt with "Mango Arizona Iced Tea", "Chlorox Dish Detergant", and "Cheez-Its" on it. Really, utterly innocuous. "Really," Jesse blurted, "that's all I have with me. And uh, my-- my power? I... I really don't like talking about it all that much. It's nothing impressive, really. I can't even do anything with it right now!"

Oh, look at that, how he stooped so low into begging. How sad. But what else could he do? For all he knew, he could shoot lightning from his armpits. He was completely at the mercy of this Johnathon character, and Jesse didn't even know what he was capable of... and that's exactly why he didn't dare budge.

Drake, Lily, Jake, Lin & Gabe

Tension filled the air as there was a bit of inaction, awaiting Luce's response. There was quite a bit of silence from Luce's end. That was rather unsettling. Jake easily pieced together that Luce's probably plotting some way to hurt them or do them harm. Could be right, or could be wrong, no matter. He'd rather not stick around long enough to find out. He dispelled all the illusions of the bulletproof glass, all of them except for the specific illusion that's blocking themselves from Luce. They just faded away, into nothing. No traces or anything. He wiped the blood that was dripping out of his nose. Jake, after feeling the relief of the strain being taken off of him, crafts another illusion. A very simple illusion at that directly behind the illusion of glass. This illusion completely made the group, from Luce's sole angle, invisible. So, from Luce's perspective, the group is completely invisible, which meant they had to act fast before she does anything. Another drop of blood drips down from his nose, and he ignored the headache for a moment. He turned around to the group and spoke quickly and quietly, trying to get out of here before Luce does anything, "Look guys, I'll be quick: Luce can't see us and we should get back to the cafeteria, now." Jake didn't even wait for everyone else's input before he started leaving.

"What the hell---" Lily snaps, upon receiving this news from Jake, before cutting herself off. She knew that this would anger the woman that she feared the most right now. She was still nervous and frightened from all of this. She couldn't think straight... On the other hand; getting out of this hallway may relieve that fear. Since they would be no long staring death in the face. "On second thought, let's get out of here." Without a second thought, Lily turned around and was running away from Luce and was heading towards the cafeteria.

"Aw, we leaving already? She's fun, I gotta say." Thanks for the cigarettes, though, babe. Drake says at normal volume, not even caring if Luce hears or not. He really did thank her for the cigarettes, but he knew that she'd probably want something in return. Something that he probably can't (or won't) give. Which was reason enough for Drake to conclude their time together here. He knew that this school wasn't big enough for them to completely avoid each other--- Meaning he knew that they'd cross paths again. Could be now, or later. There's no avoiding it. Opposed to everyone else, he didn't run away. He just slid his hands into the pockets of his jacket and gave Luce a smirk (She probably can't see). Then started strolling away at his own pace, with the rest of the group probably gone by now.

After they were clear. All the illusions that Jake created around Luce were all dispelled. They just disappeared.

Song fo da scene, nuggahz:

The group arrived in the cafeteria, having (Hopefully) left Luce behind. There was still a marginal chance that Luce could have followed them. If so, hopefully she'll be understanding in their need to get leave. Lin was the only person left in the cafeteria. Dragonfly and Livvy were gone--- To where, was the question that would shortly be asked. Other than that, everything was in working order.

The illusions that made the group in the cafeteria invisible were still there. The one that made everyone in there invisible--- But, Jake noticed his duplicate was inadvertently destroyed when he put strain on himself. He never noticed because he was so focused on defending himself (And everyone else) from Luce. Lin could have been killed and he couldn't have done a thing about it. Now it didn't happen, Jake inhaled and snapped his fingers. The illusions keeping the group invisible quickly faded way, until they were all gone. Revealing the group's location to all. Now, he doesn't have to concentrate out the @ss to keep them up and running.

"Is everyone alright?" Were the immediate words out of Lin's mouth after the group came in. She was worried about what happened to them, but was more than content with staying out of the cross-fire.

Drake arrived in the cafeteria last, going at a slower pace than the rest of the group. The moment he was in the room, he grabbed the nearest chair, dragged it over to the wall, and sat down on it. He leaned back into the chair until, the top was touching the wall. "Now, everyone is alright. Just a bit shaken... We even managed make a little friend along the way. Ha." Drake responded to Lin, having heard her question.

"'Just A bit shaken up' doesn't seem to even describe what happened..." Lily hisses at Drake, sending an aggressive glare his way. Everything that just happened made her feel more and more frightened by this whole situation. She just wanted to have a nice night without anything else happening. But, she never got that wish. Quite the opposite. The first thing she did after speaking was sit down on the closest thing. With closest thing being a table. She didn't really care right now. All Lily wanted was a few minutes to cool down. Her facial expression went to a troubled scowl, almost trying to hold in the tears. Lily knew that things were really bad, and that's something that she isn't accustomed to. She was more of a person who operated when things didn't involve death.

So, I guess it's a bad time to ask if we're still going with the power back on? Drake noted Lily's state, and thinks to himself. Perhaps they all should just chill for a little while. There's almost nothing else they can really do. The Traitor is probably on the other side of the Othergrounds by now, and the rain will make him hard to track. Just chasing after him in general would be a bad idea. He just continued lounging. Waiting for Dragonfly to get back (If he's getting back).

Meanwhile; Jake got the urge to stop and look at the golden pocket watch he keeps on him at all times. While he wasn't wearing a suit or anything like it, he kept the watch in his pants pocket. He then pulled out the pocket watch out of his right pocket and flicked it open with his thumb. Jake stared at the time, putting himself in his own little world. Blotting out everything that was going on around him. If they really needed him, they would approach him or do something to get his attention. Hopefully they wouldn't ask him to cook, he wasn't in the mood.

At this moment, Gabe walked right into the cafeteria. She had gotten herself lost when the power went out, wandering the dark halls with super-heated fists ready to turn anyone shady into a pile of ash. That readiness went wasted when nobody attacked he, and the lights came back on. With the lights being her guide, she made it into the cafeteria. She stood at the entrance, crossing her arms and leaning against the door frame. She examined everyone in the room, and saw exactly what she wanted; Jake. Just staring at that pocket watch like an idiot again. Gabe wanted to be subtle, but she knew that she'd would have been noticed by now. She already knew that some members of the group didn't like her, and she didn't care--- As long as they don't say or do to her, all will be well. So, she scrolled into the room towards Jake, nonchalantly saying to the group in the room, "Calm ya' tits, everybody. I just want to talk to him." She walked closer and closer, she found herself standing over Jake, with the latter not noticing her. Get the flying f*ck out of ya' own world, one of dese' Zoo-animals could'a been aimin' for ya'. Gabe thinks to herself, as she rolled her eyes up into her head, shaking it. She raised her right hand high up in the air, and promptly brought it down at high speed. Slapping Jake's shoulder with painful force.

Immediately, Jake was snapped back into reality. He jumped upon feeling the painful whack from Gabe's heated hand. He turned his head to the source, and saw his twin sister. "What..." He says to her.

"Stay attentive, Jakey. My hand could a been that big spooky Traitor. Hahahaha..." Gabe said humorously, and grinned. She put her right hand on her chin. She looked at the rest of the group, now that she had confirmed Jake being okay. They seem scared or troubled. Her grin turned into a scowl as she asked Jake, "What da' hell happened to them? They looked like they been saw a ghost.... Heh."

"Um... Long story" Jake says, before leaning towards his twin sister, whispering into her ear what happened. He didn't want to say it out loud because he knew some people didn't like her--- And they may not appreciate him telling her what happened... They seem to be distracted anyway. Not much of their conversation could be heard. But, Gabe's facial expressions changed at a rapid rate. Going from smirks, to curiosity, to anger, etc.

Johnny

Really," Jesse blurted, "that's all I have with me. And uh, my-- my power? I... I really don't like talking about it all that much. It's nothing impressive, really. I can't even do anything with it right now!"

As Johnny watched Jesse empty his pockets, not to pull out anything interesting; he felt very stupid. Because of what happened right now, and how he easily thrown aside his previous goals, in the name of harassing these no-names. Lexy has probably already told Hunter and his grandma about what he did here today. Which means that their Hunter pal probably is working twice as hard to get rid of every trace of Jia-li--- If he haven't already. They need to get a move on, but there was still one matter to attend to. Jesse wasn't a threat at all, he's just a total wimp that walked in at the wrong place at the wrong time. Johnny known his emotions were not hostile, and more of fear that two strangers are holding him up. Besides he doesn't seem to be that important to begin with--- Honestly, Johnny should have just left the room, with Taylor, the moment Jesse knocked on the door. He didn't, and now he's finding himself wasting time. However, Jesse's fear had given Johnny a bit of power, enough to (almost) make up for this sidetrack. He rolled his eyes up into his head and kept his finger guns focused on Jesse (Just in case). "Alright no-name, I have more important matters to attend to, and no offense; you look like the least threatening person in this whole d*mn place, meaning you ain't the person I'm looking for..." He says, annoyed and not nearly as confident and over the top as before, "So, you are dismissed! I suggest that you turn around and head the other direction--- And quick word of advice; when you see two strange people alone in a room, I suggest that you consider not entering it... Because everyone around these parts are, putting it lightly, spooked. Hahahaha..." Johnny broke off in a fit of fake laughter.

((Assuming that Jesse immediately leaves)) The very first thing that Johnny did, after Jesse left, was close his eyes and shake his head. Feeling embarrassed, it appears that everyone new is heading here. Something that he didn't like. He tilted his head downward, letting his pimp hat cover up his eyes and upper face. He smirks under that hat, "Now, that was a waste of time, eh miss Taylor?" He started laughing again. Now, he wondered what Taylor really thought of all of this. She didn't look wicked or apathetic enough to have no qualms about Johnny's actions... Then he pushed away the thoughts; as long as Taylor didn't say or do anything against him, then he doesn't care. "Now, we need to get the flying f*ck out of here before any other no names show up and waste even more of my time. That Lexy chick probably already told Hunter about what happened here..." Johnny shifted out of his Emotional Energy form. The lights around him faded away, revealing his scarred skin. "... Probably should have broke her legs to slow her down. Ugh. Now, that only adds on to the challenge." Now, Johnny needs to get Jake and Gabe along, and the best way to do that is find them. He closed his eyes and concentrated, attempting to pick up all the Emotional Presences in the dorms. Johnny successfully determined that mostly everyone was by one place, the cafeteria (Logical since Jake was making food for the group). After getting this information, he stopped sensing people. Hopefully Jake and Gabe would be there. He immediately started walking out of the exit, "I have a hunch I know where the wonder twins are. Let's go." He marched on out of the room, into the depressed halls of the dorm.

Ready to make the school a better place.

Victoria & Hunter

Lieo wrote:

Victoria closed her eyes and sighed. Looking back to the time that she, Drake and Dragonfly found John Doe dead. It certainly was an unsettling sight. Something she wasn't going to forget any time soon. She could say the same things that Damon was. A school for the young, has maniacs with eyes ready to kill. What a world she lives in, that would breed such a thing. She promptly snapped back into reality trying her best to answer his question. Victoria honestly couldn't answer it, merely because, come to think of it, she's in the same position. "Look. I know just as much as you do right now. I have no idea who he could be, and I think that he's the one behind a few other things happening around here..." Victoria trailed off, looking around nervously. She wondered who this person could be, he seemed to talk like he's very familiar with the school.

Lieo wrote:

Victoria could just smell the lack of trust in Damon, and it showed when he spoke--- But, it felt more like he was unsure more than anything. Damon said that he'll help them despite that trust, that's... Odd. They didn't trust Damon fully, either--- But, Victoria was going to give it a shot regardless. From the way Victoria sees it; he could easily help them get inside the hospital's security room so they can finally be closer to finding out what happened to Jia-li. They won't attack Damon unless they're given a reason to... If they do... Victoria didn't like using such drastic measures, but she would use telekinesis to snap his neck. She sighed and explained the situation to him, "We do need help. A friend of mine, Jia-li was injured last night, and brought to the hospital... But, when I came to check on her, she was gone and I saw some blood. I'm not sure if she was killed or not--- But, we need a way into the hospital's security room so we can find out.... C-can you help us with that?" As Victoria spoke, she sounded more and more distraught and saddened by all of this--- And she really is.

Charles wrote:
"Oh god; I changed my mind, stop!"
Emilly laughed manically, she found it amusing that Charles was freaking out so much. She then returned to the task at hand. "Not going to back out now, not when you need it so badly." It was all over moments later, no trace that anything ever happened. Well except that Charles was looking good as new. She waited to see what he thought of her handiwork.

Charles wrote:
"Uhhhh...."
Emily smiled smugly as Charles examined himself. "This is the first time I've used my power to help someone." She said this in an nonthreatening manner.

Charles wrote:
"So, it's time for me to do my part? Eh?" He spoke to Emily, "C'mon, I'll lead the way." Charles said as he walked out of the room, stopping at the doorstop and making a "come on" motion with his hand.
"I like your eagerness." She said approvingly. When Charles started off Emily was already in motion, but she halted to let him take the lead. At his beckon she strolled after him. The room was quite distraught, glass and rain was everywhere. There was definitely books, but a number of them were destroyed in the battle. She hoped that her books, if they indeed could be found here would be intact.

Charles wrote:
"Wow, I really did a number on this room..." He laughs, scratching the back of his head with a gleeful, proud, look on his face. "So, I don't know about the rest of this place, but this is where I saw the most books."
Emily snickered with him, then added "Haven't you made a mess this big before?" The way she said it made it sound like it was something she did all the time. Her face wore an expression of genuine curiosity. She then jumped and said "Ooh, over there!" She ran over and grabbed a thin hardcover book that was blocked from both their lines of sight. Its spine read How Things Work. Having hardly just picked up the first she ran over to a different part of the room and held a large text book to her side. "There's nothing else here." With that Emily walked past Charles and back out of the room.

Taylor

Taylor followed Johnny out of the lounge, wincing a bit when she mentioned breaking Lexy's legs. She didn't want to dispute with him too much, not only because she had a crush on him, but because Johnny was really the only person who had Taylor's back. Pissing him off would make her life a lot more difficult. A difficult life wasn't exactly Taylor's thing. She much preferred to stay out of the way of Johnny's decisions and let him to all the ass-kicking. Of course, Taylor didn't mind kicking ass, but it required too much effort to be a regular thing. What interested Taylor quite a bit was where all of these new arrivals came from. They seemed to appear from nowhere at a time that didn't make much sense for them to be appearing at. Maybe it had something to do with this traitor, or maybe it was just a fluke.

Speaking of which; Taylor was starting to become more interested about this "traitor" figure. So there was a serial killer or the like just walking through the school slaughtering innocents? How did that even make sense, and why would they do that? Most serial killers had some sort of motive, Taylor knew, but there really didn't seem to be one for Hunter to be following. He didn't exactly seem like the "cold-blooded killer" type, more of a depressed Emo kid. So yeah, there was definitely some holes in Hunter being the traitor. There was plenty of doubt over who it actually was. Tenez le téléphone. Taylor's mouth creeped into a very slight devilish smile as she got a wonderful idea. Hell, maybe it was true even, but Taylor realized a great way to kill two birds with one stone.

"Johnny," she said as they walked down the hall "I just thought of something. What about that creep Alejandro that's been flying around? From what I know, he's tres meurtrier at night, and can fly very quickly, allowing him to make a clean getaway. We might want to look into him." With all hope, this would work.

Ryan

Ryan found himself tucked into an empty dorm, the dorm that Claire and Nobody had been in a few minutes before. He slowly listened to Johnny and Taylor's thoughts and actions as they passed by. So, Taylor wasn't as big of a good girl as he had thought. She was going to use her new boyfriend to kill off her old boyfriend. How cute. Of course, Ryan knew that the idea wouldn't work, but Johnny had seriously pissed Ryan off and this Alejandro guy could actually be in some real trouble if Johnny tried to kill him. Johnny's emotional sensors would make it extremely difficult, but with all hope Ryan would be able to counteract it enough to keep himself from being sensed. As he heard them pass, Ryan peeked his head out of a crack in the door, intent on following the duo.

Luce's remaining eye closed.

Something inside of her chest was ripped out of her mouth, up through her throat, dangling past her lips. Or so it felt. The tear gas-no, this wasn't regular tear gas, this was something worse, something cruder and less refined, something that Luce would've known was outlawed in a place called Geneva many years ago, had she stayed in school a few more years-and it was inside her. Her guns, the unerring speed that guided her hands to her guns and the bullets to their marks, it was gone, it was taken from her. The asphalt came screaming up to her face, which hit the dirty concrete rather ungracefully. Luce clawed at the unflinching road, trying to push herself up, away, but the smog blocked out everything else, made the street below her (or was it above her? Everything was so very dizzy) bend and ripple, making her muscles fatigue along with it. The-

Luce blinked. The...the kids were gone. She took a moment, relishing the pure air that was being pumped through her lungs. This was immediately followed by a burning, aggravating shame: they could've killed her. They could've killed her very easily. And yet the plane of glass was gone, entirely, it seemed-Luce walked up, rapping the air where it once was. Her gloved knuckles passed through cleanly. The hallway was silent, now, with only the discarded remains of the flashbangs behind to keep her company. Had....had that whole encounter even happened? Were those kids even real? Luce struggled for a moment, looking for some sort of confirmation that this place, the Othergrounds, was not some hallucinatory trip, some dying dream, maybe a very sh*tty version of Purgatory. This explanation did seem to make a lot of sense-it explained how she got from Columbia to the States so quickly, so efficiently. However, Luce decided she'd indulge in the fantasy that she was dead when she was absolutely sure of it, and held on to her paranoia a while longer. Still, a creeping unease dripped through her, and Luce kept one hand on the butt of her right sixgun as she continued walking down the halls. Something, to use an American phrase, was f*cked up here.

"Dios te salve, Maria," she muttered quietly, feeling very childish for using the old prayers they taught her back in school, but taking a quiet refuge in them nonetheless. "Llena eres de gracia..." Luce decided to not walk down the way the group came: the slightly disturbing unreality of the situation (they're real, you stupid girl, what happened to those cigarettes if they werent? Yes, but that glass...illusions, it must be....perhaps....) convinced her to go the other way. If this was an elaborate trap, so be it. She had sprung, both intentionally and accidentally, quite a few traps in her day. She was still alive-albeit a few scars and a lack of depth perception to show for it.

So, as coincidence (or fate, or the subtle, mysterious hand of God-whichever you prefer) would have it, Luce found herself walking away from Drake, Crystal, Lily and the others, and instead towards Johnny, Taylor, and, dare I say it, an unseen follower of theirs. Luce's boots echoed down the hall, making her presence known-just the way she wanted it. Try and ambush me, whoever's out there. I'll make an example of you.

"His name?" a very easy way past Livvy's suspicions of strangers and social hesitations was through the fuzzy bear behind held in her arms. "This is Mr. Teddy! Ooh! Speaking of which!" Livvy gently set the bear on the ground and then dropped her bag to the ground, rummaging through it frantically. All she seemed to pull out of it were different outfits: one would've thought she carried books, paper, a binder in her bag-however, it was more of a portable wardrobe for the bear. She settled on a white lab coat and reflector dish, which she secured to Mr. Teddy's head. A tiny stethoscope was lovingly draped around his shoulders and then the rest of the clothes were folded and neatly tucked back away. "I mean...DOCTOR TEDDY." she announced, beaming. "He's my bestest friend. Dragonfly's like second. But close." she frowned, hoping she hadn't offended Dragonfly. Like, he would understand, right? She and Mist-Doctor Teddy, they went waaaay back.

Livvy picked Dr. Teddy back up, thinking back to Faith and Nick kissing. A deep blush soaked into Livvy's cheeks and she twirled one of her pigtails, suppressing a giggle. "So...are you two dating? Cause I saw you guys kissing." It was evident, from the teddy bear, the pink hair, and the childish sparkle in her eyes (no, wait, that wasn't wholly the sparkle of youth in her eyes, there was a silver twinkle) meant that kissing was likely the epitome of romantic action in her mind, coming in just ahead of hand-holding. "Like it was kinda gross but kinda sweet." Thoughts of marriage crossed her mind but Livvy didn't verbalize them: that would just be rude.

Johnny

Maxxtoron wrote:
"Johnny," she said as they walked down the hall "I just thought of something. What about that creep Alejandro that's been flying around? From what I know, he's tres meurtrier at night, and can fly very quickly, allowing him to make a clean getaway. We might want to look into him."
"You mean..." Johnny kept walking as Taylor told him about Alejandro. He was unaware of who the guy even is. There's plenty of people around the school that'd qualify as the Traitor. He could easily make a deduction on if this guy was the Traitor or not if he had more information on this Alejandro fellow. He slowly turned his head over to Taylor and gave her a warm smile--- A fake one, but still convincing. "Hmmm... Very convincing... Who is Alejandro again? We have like---" Immediately, Johnny heard foots heading towards them. Not just any footsteps, the loud stomps of a boot. Now, this immediately made Johnny stop and stick his arm out to stop Taylor, "Ayo, hold up, ya' hear that?" Johnny was savvy and intelligent enough, to easily piece together a few things. Someone wandering around the halls of a dead school, practically giving away where they are must mean a one of two things... They're either stupid, or they want people to know exactly where they are. As some sort of sign of badassery. On top of that, this newcomer is heading right towards them. Just for the sake of consistency, he was going to automatically guess that this person IS hostile. If it's just another no-name or someone he knew; he was just going to kindly send them in a different direction, and move on. He was getting tired of holding up morons, and wasting his immense power holding them up. They have to do the good man's work when there's no one else around to take the call. Johnny tilted his head downwards to sense the Emotional Presences in the area. There were two... Sorta. There was definitely one heading towards them, then there was another, strange one. It was very difficult to pick up, like in the way that Johnny didn't know it's exact position and it had that special "faded" effect. There was a thing with Emotional Presences that he has long learned. When people dying, their Emotional Presences fade away as they die. So, that means that there's someone nearby dying, or their Presence was hard to sense. Johnny stopped sensing, and promptly raised his head and looked aggressive.

The footsteps were getting louder, and as far he knew; they were in an ambush. Johnny weighed his options--- Just in case this happened to be a less than friendly encounter. In an upfront fight; he undoubtedly has the advantage, lesser attacks don't do much to him, and he can easily dodge the stronger ones. Then easily flee. There's only one problem he can think of: Taylor. He can easily tell she doesn't have the hardiness of himself, nor the abilities he possess. While she poses a bit of a threat, she's no where near as tough as himself. Johnny shook his head in disappointment. Essentially, that means he'll either have to stay behind and hold off the threat or hope she's fast enough to run. Which is honestly why he likes working alone in these situations. No one to worry about but himself. But, that isn't anywhere near the case here. Johnny knew it's too late to run; the stranger is already close enough to hear them run off. Hehahaha... I prefer to take my problems head on anyway... His right eye started glowing a bright red. Practically giving his position away--- And he loved it. There was no way he was going to avoid this, he has no choice but take it head on. Besides; there's absolutely no way that mystery-man-four, isn't going to see what Johnny is about to do.

Johnny promptly put his right hand on the top of his head. Then he became his transformation process, for the third time today! A blank and pure white light covered his being at the speed of light. Then a pulse of various colors. Emotional Energy surged through every part of his body down to the cells. Strengthening them together with extra strength, giving him equaled resistance to all damage. He felt much faster and agile now, being able to run fairly fast and pull off some sick acrobatics. He spoke to Taylor softly, "Alright, Taylor, I get the feeling we're about to meet the very person I was so worried about..." He shook his head, "I suggest that you get clear if things get a little wild. Because, when I fight, things get really messy."

Now that was out of the way, Johnny took several steps forward. Ready for the action he was itching for. Not fighting another insane monster, not fighting Claire, but a real fight against someone with intelligence... Now, he feels that he's going to get worked up over nothing. It's probably Ryan coming around to kiss their @ss and apologize for being such a dipsh*t. Johnny knew he'd be just the person to do that. Johnny called out to the newcomer, with the arrogance apparent in his voice, "Alright, I don't know who you are. But, I suggest that you turn around now."

Crystal didn't have to be told twice about leaving. She spun around on her heel and began walking away. She wanted to get away from this Luce girl. She didn't seem very trustworthy. Thoughts of the traitor came into Crystal's mind as they arrived at the cafeteria. None of the people in the current group she was with were the traitor, as they were all in the cafeteria when the animal metas were attacked. Luce was a likely candidate, however. Gabe then walked in, and Crystal winced in sudden awareness. Gabe could be the traitor, as well. She disliked the animal meta humans, so that gave her a reason to attack and she wasn't with the group when the attack happened so... Crystal pushed the thought out of her mind. No! She needed to avoid pointing fingers, for now. That would only lead to conflict, and conflict at a place like this could even go as far as death.

Faith nodded as Livvy introduced her to Mr. Teddy. Simplistic, as any young girl's name for a toy would be. Faith watched as Livvy dressed Mr. Teddy up as Dr.Teddy. Such a young girl in such a dangerous place... the thought made Faith uneasy. Who would agree to send a little girl so far from home without parents to this... what would be a good way to describe this school? Oh yeah- death trap. Faith looked around nervously. A death trap... perfect place to be.

When Livvy brought up the kiss she had apparently seen earlier, Faith blushed as a smile appeared on her face. She talked in the same quiet tone as always, "Yeah, we're dating. I'm sorry the kiss was gross though." Faith successfully hid a laugh. She had forgotten thinking such ways when she was little. The little girl was so naive and innocent, just as she should be. Faith felt some relief for this, as that ment the girl thought like any girl should and *celo ends the post suddenly because she couldn't think of how to end it

The footsteps stopped.

"No hospitality here," Luciana sighed, her accent and femininity thick, perhaps a little too much. There was a being of pure light, slicing through the darkness, and it stung Luce's vision very briefly-she had, however, taken into account the flashbangs from earlier, and readied herself for such a threat. She wasn't incapacitated for very long before she was ready again, and without a flickering of weakness on her part. She smiled softly, pink lips reaching up to the base of one of her many scars. "Dios mio. It's like someone shoved a Christmas tree up your ass then flipped on all the lights." Luce drew a cigarette, lighting it and taking a drag. Slightly calming. At the moment, she was slightly unhinged, although it didn't show through her poker face-this place was very strange, and every last instinct in the back of her head was screaming that she would die here if she didn't leave, that her fate wasn't being gunned down by a rival cartel two thousand miles south from here, it was dying in the darkened hallways of this godforsaken place.

"I mean you no harm. But you might mean me harm." Time to test how crazy you're going, Luciana. "See, I run into these kids, a little ways back. One calls himself a thunder god, another bossy girl, one boy did some sh*t with glass, didn't seem to like me too much. Drake, Lily...Jake? Maybe? Anyways, the point of my little story: these kids and I arrive at this little room right after somebody tried to attack it. Tried to kill a few teenagers. So maybe the killer's you, and you're looking to gun me down right here." Luce smiled, eyeing the anti-silhouette. "But he used flashbangs. And you? You don't need flashbangs, do you..." Luce leaned back on one leg, readying herself to spin a bullet into the side of his head if he jumped at her. The cylinders, she could sense them, cold and hungry and loaded, tied with the bullets hanging from the belt around her waist, waiting for a spark. Ah, I'm going to hell. I'm f*cked up, real bad. "Name's Luce. Who the hell are you?" She eyed Taylor. "And the...how do you say...lady friend? Fine catch." she winked at Taylor, then returned her focus to Johnny, who seemed to be taking charge on her behalf. More traditional gender roles in this country, then. Luce was fond of breaking stereotypes, herself.

---

Livvy giggled, losing her self-control when Faith started to blush. It was like the time they'd caught two kids kissing on the playground, their faces had been so red. Livvy was secretly, deep down, would-never-ever-admit-to-it kinda jealous. In the most innocent, least voyeuristic way possible, she wanted to see Faith and Nicky hold hands or talk sweet or something, just because she hadn't ever seen romance outside the Disney movies. Even her parents...it was cold. There was no vibe, no happy spark. She was just getting old enough to pick up on it. This line of thinking started to bother her, so she buried it beneath another question, attempting to take her mind off things without realizing it. "What's this place like? My mommy and daddy said it was a school but I haven't seen any teachers and stuff. Is it like recess all the time here? 'Cause I would kinda like that, I don't really like classes." And, truly, Livvy mostly liked recess because she could sorta wander off by herself-never too far, even as elusive and quick as Livvy was, the teacher always seemed to find her (it never really occurred to her that they kept a constant watch on her, given how often she tried to slip away, just beyond the fence, just past the designated limits) and reprimand her. No fun. But playing with the kids wasn't much fun, either. There was that same...weird...coldness. She didn't know entirely how to describe it, nor was she even aware of it, not wholly, but it wasn't like talking with Dr. Teddy or walking around, exploring someplace new. This line of thought also brought along a melancholy taint to Livvy's emotions, and she hoped that Faith would give her a nice, happy answer, like, "Yeah, all the kids are showing up anytime now, and the stuff about the bad guys with guns isn't true at all!" The handgun weighed heavy in her backpack, but Livvy had made sure that Faith didn't see it. Hadn't she? She'd left one of the outfits purposefully over it. Hopefully...

"Nice eyepatch." Was the first Johnny says to Luce upon seeing her "unique" appearance.

Oh lookie, we got ourselves a smart @ss! Johnny smiled as he thought to himself. This newcomer was obviously someone he hasn't seen before. In fact, she looked very unique compared to the rest of his... As you could say: "roomies." With the obvious cowboy motif and being Hispanic. She did have an aura of toughness. But, to Johnny, she appeared to be a bit silly. He half-smiled and narrowed his eyes. Because no one dresses up like a cowboy to look cool! Unless you're a little kid. He joked to himself again. He decided to address Luce with his own joke, "Hehahaha... Lady, I think you missed the Wild West on your little horsey." Johnny then pointed west with his right hand, "It's that way." Mocking Luce's cowboy feel.

What...? What the hell are you talking about? Now, Luce was really piquing Johnny's interest. She just told him that someone was attacked. However, she was vague on who was attacked or what were doing the attacking. It could have been another maniac (or monster) who appeared out of the blue, or the dreaded Traitor. This all could be a lie to get him to storm off into some trap... Maybe he's already in the trap, there's still that faint Emotional Presence nearby. Just waiting for him to let his guard down so he'll get taken down. They're in for a surprise when they find that he's much tougher than he looked. For now, he was going to humor this. However, he was a bit curious about what she was saying, and wanted to know more --- Or I can just cut the sh*t, tell this moron to go eat some glass, and go find out for myself. Johnny shook his head. "Whoa, whoa, hold it there, El Bandito. Who were attacked, and where? I need to know, because; I'm on the @ss of a certain someone behind some very dastardly deeds." Could be you, you're a suspect until proven otherwise. I think I can eye a gun on that belt of yours... Won't do too much to me, and I know that from EXPERIENCE. Johnny thinks to himself as he looked at Luce.

He was hoping that Jake wasn't attacked--- But, was confident in his younger brother's abilities enough to trust him with handling himself. Jake can easily escape any nasty situation he gets himself in, just by using his illusions alone. Everyone else can just go die in a corner. He decided to address the "maybe you're the killer" part of Luce's statement. He spoke in a heavily sarcastic tone, "Now, let me say this before I forget: I don't mean ANYONE harm, until they give me a reason." Which is easier than you think. "So, don't cross me and this will be one nice little encounter full of hugs and kisses. I believe the same applies to you, yes?" He smirked again. Despite the sarcasm; Johnny will be true to his word. While he may be one of the more "aggressive" members of the group, he doesn't have any reason to attack--- In fact, he just wants to get the hell out of here so he can investigate this himself. Unlike Luce's previous encounter with the other group; he wasn't intimidated in the slightest--- But, that doesn't mean he'll let his guard down.

Johnny knew that Luce could be packing something in terms of super-powers. What exactly is the question of the year. He knew there's a wide variety of powers in the Meta-human world.

Shade wrote:
"But he used flashbangs. And you? You don't need flashbangs, do you..."
Johnny smirked smugly, "Nah. I don't use cheats to take out anyone that gets in my way, that's his specialty. I'm more of the type that'd go in hard. Plain and simple." Johnny was subtly referring to Jake when he said "his specialty" Taylor would know who he's referring to, Luce would not. Unless Jake did more than create glass, which is his specialty. One thing that Johnny knew; was that Jake is immensely useful. In pretty much all situations. "There's also the, very important, matter of me having no f*cking flashbangs to begin with..." Johnny's eyes looked down at the duster he was wearing. He COULD, in theory, have flash bangs hidden inside. Because, Johnny has stuffed larger things into his coat.

Shade wrote:

"Who the hell am I...?" Johnny says, smugly. This Luce character has quite a way of addressing people, and he liked it. Using his right hand to grasp the top of his hat, sliding it forward a bit. The brim of the hat covered up the top of his face, concealing his eyes and a bit of his nose. He smirked, with his face mostly concealed. Johnny spoke to Luce, "Me? I'm just a lonesome traveler with one last mile until my journey is complete." He quietly laughed, "... Johnathon. Folks call me Johnny. And yes, I get the best women."

He kept the pose with his hand on the top of his hat. Speaking of best women, he needs to get Taylor out of here. Because it'd be very unfortunate if I lose you this early. He briefly took his attention off Luce to look at Taylor, giving her a smile. Before turning his attention back to Luce. "Hey, Taylor." He spoke from out of no where, trying his best to be quiet, "You should go head to the cafeteria and check on Jake for me. I'll be fine here." But, you won't be if this b*tch goes psycho. It was more a, not-so-subtle way of telling Taylor that she should get out of here. Johnny can see it in Luce's Emotional Aura; she's ready for a fight.

He'd do much better doing this alone.

Charles

Veriska wrote:
"Haven't you made a mess this big before?"
"Well..." Charles actually took Emily's statement seriously. This was nothing compared to what he did in Black Fall awhile back during a fight. He was fighting some baddie, and losing. Then out of no where, he felt an incredible burst of power. With that power he pulled in sand and glass from miles away and defeated his opponent... Leaving a horrible mess of sand, glass and blood. It felt weird, really. He had no idea where this power came from! Maybe it was luck? Or the true power he wields? Just to feed his ego, he was going with the latter. Now, he was smiling a bit. "Yeah, I have. Just a little bigger than this." He said in a smug tone.

Veriska wrote:
"There's nothing else here."
Emily then jumped up, probably seeing the book she wanted. She then ran over to said book and picked it up. Charles leaned forward to try to get a good view of the book--- Despite knowing that it's probably one of the books she wanted. A physics and/or biology book. He didn't exactly get a good enough view of the book to see. It wasn't too relevant to Charles, since there's little point in doing so. Even though the school is abandoned after being attacked, Emily was so devoted to learning that she's willing to disregard that! Even though she didn't look like the learning type. He shrugged, and whistled quietly as Emily walked out of the room. Charles was trying to remember what he was getting in return for her help... No clue. He felt perfectly normal (Despite knowing that he had no idea what the hell Emily did to him). Charles was strong enough already to get himself to the Hospital to figure out a few things... But, they had a deal. He walked out of the room, behind Emily. While he walked, he spoke to her, "Alright, you're still going to fulfill your end of the deal, right? I still want to get to a hospital..."

Sylvia

The Training Hall

Despite the best efforts of her older brother, Johnny, Sylvia went on to the training hall. Alone, to do just that, train. If they were going to survive here, she would have to become much stronger. Stronger than the rest. Which wasn't the smartest of ideas to do alone after what everyone's been through. But, she felt that she can take on anyone. No one could surpass the raw power of the Dubstep Bomb. Not Claire, not the Oozium, not Johnny, no one. Among the colorful cast of characters, she easily ranks as the most destructive Meta-human. However,  she needed more than destructiveness. She needed something else... An edge, to go with that destructiveness. Deep within the Training Hall, she was in one of the rooms specifically for training powers. It was a very large room, with several dummies and targets. Very similar to the room that Drake, Victoria and Dragonfly trained in. She was floating in the middle of the room, with a combat pose, facing a large combat dummy.

While Sylvia had great offensive strength, she really lacked in the physical department. Other than her powers, she's pretty weak. She landed on the ground, and used her ability to ride soundwaves to greatly enhance her speed. At the blink of an eye, she ran behind the combat dummy using super speed. Her speed easily gives her the ability to dodge any and all attacks thrown at her. That weren't equal or greater speed. She swung her leg at the bottom of the dummy in a sweeping motion--- It was done horribly incorrectly, and wouldn't really be effective in an actual fight. Her leg stopped at the bottom of the dummy, having done absolutely nothing to the ultra durable target practice. She didn't want to rely on her Dubstep Bomb when fights break out. When the Oozium attacked she was drained, and could have easily been killed by either the Oozium or TJ if it wasn't for the valiant Toby. Then her anger was directed at TJ. F*cking moron opened up a god d*mn portal into his own f*cking d*ck like a f*cking f*cktard, so f*cking glad that the sh*t backfired on his pathetic @ss. Sylvia ranted in her own head as the spike of anger caused her to strike down the Dummy more and more. Attacking from above, below, and mostly every angle she could. Getting more and more angered with every passing strike. Then, she found what she was looking for. The chance for a newer and stronger ability. It was very simple to discover. She just "blinked". After she opened her eyes, everything in her vicious gaze appeared to be different. Everything that she saw had a blue tint. That wasn't all; she could "see" the sound waves coming off from every object that was capable. She saw even the faintest of all sounds, and sounds normally outside of human (and her own) hearing. The sound waves appeared to be several curved lines, of various colors, glowing brighter/dimmer depending on volume. Her large eyes were glowing a electronic-like cobalt-blue as she slid off her sunglasses with a mix of curiosity and surprise. "Sh*t... What the f*ck...?" Sylvia said to herself as she looked around, floating in mid-air.

Perhaps, this new and strange revelation was going to lead into something new. Sylvia never had any experience with powers other than her Dubstep bomb. Sylvia curiously landed on the ground and looked around at the various soundwaves that her "sound vision" now allowed her to see. There gotta be more to this f*cking bullsh*t. She thinks to herself as she focused on the nearest source of constant sound waves: her heart. She looked down at her heart and thought of something... She easily pieced together that she can see sound now. If her power relates to Sound... Then perhaps she can control it. But, how exactly? She has no experience with controlling the element she utilizes. The best she could think of (alone) was think about it really hard. She was smart enough to start small. Since she doesn't even know if she can do that. She focused really hard on her heart and thought about raising the volume. At first there was nothing, then after trying even harder. A small orb of blurry air formed around her heart, and she raised the volume of her heartbeat. The heartbeat wasn't too loud, but it echoed throughout the room. Because of her immunity to such thing, Sylvia was unaffected by the loud sounds and vibrations. The amazement that she unlocked something she never had before, now of all times, was immense. "F*cking... Amazing... Oh sh*t..." She muttered out of pure shock and happiness, as she halted and looked at her hand. Palms open and fingers slightly bent. Sylvia promptly balled her hand into a fist and looked with determination. She raised the fist into the air, and shouted at the top of her lungs, "Electro-tard, Claire! F*ckface, Johnny! F*ck monsters! I found all the sh*t I need to f*ck all of you f*ggots up and down the f*cking street, if you motherf*ckers even think you can d*ck me over!"

Rather than explore her abilities further; Sylvia immediately flew out of the Training Hall at high speeds. She needs to tell Johnny all about this.
