Faith sighed as she finished hanging up the last poster. Everything she wanted was set up, now. There was a television beside her bed with the video game "necesities" (an Xbox360, old playstation, etc.) hooked up to it, a box of videogames and books to the side, and the walls were now decorated with posters of various bands and videogames. Perfect. Everything was neat, tidy, and in order- just the way she liked it.
Faith shifted around nervously despite the comfortable environment. She had been a nevous wreck for the past few days, since waking up in this place her mom had suggested. Faith wasn't sure why this place was brought up, anyways. She didn't like new places- it ment new people. Then there was the attack on the school, which Faith had hid under her bed during. How long had she hid in that place? A few minutes? few hours, maybe? She was unsure. She just knew with her luck more would come and attack.
Faith jumped when the lights switched out, before they switched back on. That's it-she was nervous, but curious as well. Faith decided she had to get out of this small dorm room. Besides, she had been surviving off of snack food like crackers and peanut butter, which isn't very good. Faith walked out of the dorm room, looking around nervously. She was always nervous away from Nick. For some reason his being present calmed her and made her less nervous. Probably because of the fact they were dating. Faith blushed. It had been somewhere around a month and the thought still made her do so. She already missed him so much- she could almost hear his voice. Wait, it was his voice.
Faith quickly began walking in the direction of the melody- Nick's voice. Nick's guitar. He was here? She was led to another dorm room and knocked before opening the door, not waiting for a reply. "N-Nick!" Faith felt a smile appear on her face. She stood in the doorway, surprisingly frozen from relief. He was here. Everything was going to be okay.

Music:
Emily watched Charles and debated whether or not to introduce herself, or simply wait him out. She had come here to do some research, after the raid she wanted to be as prepared as possible. When she first arrived she wanted nothing more than to leave. The moment she saw that lame mascot she just knew she wouldn't like it at the Othergrounds. In her mind it was just a place to keep freaks like her away from the rest of the world. None the less she was a good girl and jumped through the hoops with the rest of the students, waiting for the opportune moment. It never came.
For the duration of the attack on the academy Emily remained hidden. She remained placid through what others would call horror, the whole while she felt slightly guilty for not trying to do something. Her logical side told her it was too risky, if she had made any fiends it might have been a different story. In the aftermath the Othergrounds had a new light to it. In modern society everything is so well structured and ruled, but all it takes is a prod and everything falls into chaos. When there's chaos there's only one rule, survive. That's exactly what she intended to do, by any means necessary.
However Emily wasn't so desprate that she'd strike down someone who is injured, especially after he just did her dirty work. After a few moments of self debate she decided to reveal herself. She had determined that his glass attack would be rather ineffective against her, if he was even in good enough condition to use it. He might have something else up his sleeve... Emily thought to herself, but she was already committed. Ideally he'll be friendly, but I can't be too careful.
Emily looked for a desk or anything big enough that she could pretend to have been ducking behind the whole time. Then she stood up and called out "You hoo, over here!" Before he even reacted she was already having doubts about her decision. Foremost of her goth attire and the assumptions people usually got from it. Emily took a deep breath It's too late to change now, that would definitely give the wrong impression.

Claire
"Okay, You...totally stole that from Brainyquotes..." Claire mused. It was all she could think to say right then. She had seen a lot of weird mutants in her day, but she had never seen someone as strange as Nobody. How could she be Claire? They had nearly identical faces and voices, but the Claire in front of Claire still looked...different. She had a completely different hair style than the old Claire, and was wearing more expensive clothing. And was that...makeup? Claire didn't wear makeup. Why did this new Claire look so similar to the real Claire, yet so different; so...refined? Claire hated refined. Perhaps this was another part of Jake and Johnny's prank. Yet, despite the gravity of the situation, Claire couldn't help but laugh. Of course; the only person who would ever help Claire would be herself. Maybe this was one of those bullsh*t cliche guardian angel moments like in the movies.
"Wait," Claire said after a moment "So you're me?"
Ryan and Taylor
The door to Ryan Corvo's dorm room flew open, making a loud "bang!" as it collided with the wall outside of the room. He stepped out of the room quickly and happily, spinning in place and popping his black blazer as he did so. He was wearing a white polo shirt with a pair of long tan khaki pants and a black blazer. On his feet was a pair of white basketball shoes, and he had earbuds in.
(the song Ryan is listening to)
Spoiler:
"Ah it is great to be awake again!" he cried out, closing the door to his room gently. He spun around again, and began to walk down the hallway, full of energy. Slowly, however, he seemed to lose his retro cool guy mojo when he saw the carnage the school was in. The carpet had blood stains, and what looked like bullet holes scarred the walls. Ryan stopped in place, and looked around at the damage.
"How long was I asleep?" he said to himself. Cautiously, he continued walking down the hall, careful not to step on any blood. Soon enough, he heard the sound of other people coming down the hallway. At this point, Ryan had become very nervous and skittish. Taylor came walking around the corner wearing the same blouse and jeans as she had put on earlier, with the addition of her trademark white beret. She froze a moment, and instinctively grabbed the cap of the water bottle in her pocket. Ryan took a cautious step back, and then smiled, his retro cool guy attitude returning as he read her mind.
"Your name is Taylor D'leau. You're a student here who recently lost her sister to an attack that I didn't know happened until thirty seconds ago. Very sorry, by the way. You have my very deepest condolences. No I am not the traitor and yes you are very beautiful. But, you don't like the fact that I'm hitting on you because you have a massive crush on Johnny Valos, whoever the Hell that is. However, you don't really care because people always call you beautiful and you love being called beautiful".
"Wha..." Taylor took a few steps back, shocked that this newcomer had just told her what was basically her entire life story. "I...um...who-"
"Name's Ryan Corvo, sweetie." he said, flashing a white smile "I'm a telepath, you see. Sorry for kinda blurting all that out a second or two ago. I was just as skittish as you were a few moments ago, so I couldn't resist reading your mind. I normally try not to". Taylor put her hand on her hip and looked at Ryan inquisitively, wondering whether or not to slap him or swoon into his arms. He was rather attractive, but...no. Johnny being able to read her emotions was enough. There was no way she was going to date a guy who could actually read her mind.
"Hey, I did say that I try not to read people's thoughts!" Ryan cried out, amused "But yeah, stick with Johnny. And yes, I would love to accompany you to the lounge".
"But..."
"Yes, you weren't thinking that yet, but I figured I had a good shot of tricking you into believing you were thinking it".
"Well, you still can. I wouldn't mind".
"Then, shall we?" Ryan extended his arm gentlemanly, and Taylor took it. Together they walked down the stairs and arrived at the dorm, where a very stressful scene seemed to be developing. Johnny was holding some new girl on invisible gunpoint. Taylor giggled a bit when she saw it, though knew that Johnny could actually hurt this girl. Ryan, however, didn't feel like reading his thoughts, so he figured he'd let finger gun boy have his fun. On second thought... yeah; nobody just pointed fingers at people threateningly without either being three, insane, or a very powerful mutant. Johnny definitely wasn't three and probably wasn't insane, so Ryan figured he'd read the boy's mind.
"Sup, Johnny." Ryan said, leaning against the wall "Please don't shoot me. I'm not the traitor; just a very nosey telepath. Let me say thought that your power is quite interesting. The ability to read emotions and even use them as some sort of energy weapon. How fun".
"Yeah..." Taylor said, leaning against the door frame "I just found him walking around upstairs. He's a telepath. Sh-"
"Yes, you-"
"WILL YOU PLEASE STOP INTERRUPTING ME?!" Taylor screamed at Ryan. "As I was saying; should we trust him?"

Drake, Lily, Lin & Jake
TheⓍperator wrote:
"I think a lightning god iss more than enough, but a dragon would definitely help." Dragonfly replied to Drake, giving a small smile to him. "Sorry for scaring you."
Once again, despite the weight of the situation, Drake found himself laughing a little bit. Very nonchalantly. He found this whole situation a little funny. And not worth getting too rattled over any further. He looked around the room, using only his eyes. Jake's illusion, and his glowing red form, mostly illuminated most of the lunchroom. Plus, they had Lily's ability to sense Meta-humans, and Dragonfly's enhanced senses. They weren't at too much risk of being sneak attacked. But, he was going to stay on guard until the lights come back on--- Which everyone should do. He spoke to Dragonfly, forcing a causal tone and demeanor, "Heh, I'm going to retire the Thunder God persona for a bit... Heh, I'm given all these new and interesting forms and I never use them..." Small talk. That'd alleviate the tension a bit. Drake thought to himself.
Before Drake moved on, he looked at everyone in the room. Lily looked pissed as ever. Jake clearly looked very cautious of Dragonfly. Lin looked confused. Crystal looked neutral. Dragonfly... Looked like he was forming some sort of bond with the little girl. And Livvy, looked like a little 8 year old girl should. Happy and having fun. After he was done his assessment, he still felt his urge to smoke get stronger. Drake knew that he shouldn't smoke in front of a little girl. Probably he'll split off from the group at some point to get his nicotine fix if it really comes down to it.
TheⓍperator wrote:
"I really dont need another Gabe. Sso I'm going to ssay that I wont get in your way at all. I'll look after Livvy, that'ss it. If you don't want me around I can leave."
Great. I imagine that Gabe was REALLY making a great first impression among the animal Meta-humans... Jake rolls his eyes up into his head as he thinks. Maybe he was being a bit too hasty in thinking that Dragonfly was hostile. From the way everyone else treats him--- However, he thought that he should decide for himself, from his own experience, if Dragonfly is a threat or not. He would still keep the illusion going, because he still didn't come to a solid conclusion. He narrowed his eyes, hiding behind the illusion, "I.. Am fine with you coming." Jake shrugs, there was a bit of hesitancy in his voice. "I was just being a bit cautious, you know? Light goes out and I get a little jumpy." He pointed up at the orb of light above them that gave the group their light.
However, Lin simply stepped through the illusion towards Dragonfly. Because of her Cerebral Class power; no matter what illusion he made, it could not obstruct her. "You don't have to be so protective of me. I am fine." Lin says as she stepped through the illusion. She was getting a bit annoyed of Jake already jumping to protect her. She was (Usually) fine by herself. She was reading his mind the whole time, and knew he has no hostile intentions. Nor was he lying about anything. However, this "bad side" Dragonfly thought of perturbed her quite a bit. But, she wasn't going to make a big deal about it.
"Very well." Jake says as he snapped his fingers again. Dispelling the both of the illusions of bullet-proof glass. They just quickly faded until there was nothing left. He only really wanted to protect Lin... Merely because he felt there was some sort of bond formed between them. He may have been rushing, but he still felt it. Wait, hope you didn't read my mind there... Lin. He quickly thought to himself as he felt embarrassed. Jake would back off for a bit, he didn't want to come across as clingy. It's all about these first impressions. He sighed.
As everything went on, Lily remained dead silent. Standing there among the group, arms crossed tightly, like a statue. She was still very annoyed by everything going on. She would have to keep that annoyed feeling repressed long enough for this to blow over--- Then they can move on to the mansion. There was something that easily distracted the angered Lily; she sensed yet another Meta-human approaching them. Another Meta-human, of average power level, just approaching from around the corner. Holy hell, not another one... Lily's demeanor changed from annoyed to a mix of surprised and curiosity. Her body quickly turned towards this new comer and she looked. Hopefully it will be another one of the survivors, coming to investigate. "Wh-who's...!" Lily snaps, before the newcomer revealed.
ViperaUnion wrote:
"Ah...hello? Is anyone in here? Hay alguien aquí?"
This newcomer was just that, a stranger. A stranger looking stranger at that. The moment he spoke everyone took their attention off Dragonfly (and anything else that had their attention) and directed it to Pedro. He was definitely, without a doubt, an Animal type Meta-human. He looked like a cross between a toucan and a human, and had a very colorful look.
"You know...." Drake starts off, he hadn't a single clue who this person is--- But, he felt as if he was apart of the little clique of animal Meta-humans, and one of them would know him. However, until he got confirmation, he wouldn't let his guard down for nothing. "...You look like an acquaintance of mine..." Drake spoke very nonchalantly. As he kept his attention on Pedro. He was partially ready to fight this newcomer. While Pedro looked the least bit threatening--- Drake thought he looked absolutely ridiculous. Not as ridiculous as Toby, but still pretty silly. I'll kick anybody's @ss real quick, if they give me a reason.... Drake thinks to hi,self
"Quién eres... ¿Qué eres...?" Lily mutters under her breath. She fully understood what Pedro said in Spanish, obviously being a Spanish speaker herself. She was has cautious as the rest of the group. His power level was nothing compared to Drake's... But, that doesn't mean he isn't a threat. She doesn't know of his capabilities just yet. Lily kept her attention on him at all times, ready to either run her @ss off, or super-charge Drake.
ViperaUnion wrote:
"Ah! People! Thank goodness." He stepped out from behind the door. "Perhaps you can help me. My name is Pedro, and I was sent to the detention center for playing my accordion too loud after-hours. I was only able to escape when that power surge deactivated my cell. When I got out, nobody was there, Poof! The grounds are empty! Do you know what has happened while I was gone? Did I miss something?"
The moment that Pedro stopped talking, Jake didn't waste any time in trapping Pedro in another cage. A large illusion formed around Pedro, a solid one of one of a steel bar cage--- It looked very much one one you'd see in a Zoo. It had gaps in between the bars. The illusion had the same amount of durability as an actual cage of steel. For a moment, Jake had a rush of regret for degrading Pedro like this. In a way, Jake had made Pedro look like an actual Zoo-Animal. God d*mn, I'm starting to become like Gabe. Jake thinks to himself, as he tilts his head downwards, and shakes his head. Hating the fact that it had come to this. "Sorry, pal. Nothing personal." Jake says in a sorrowful tone, the very second the illusion was completed. "We are just having some..." He trails off, unsure of what to say that didn't make him look like a paranoid tool. "... Bad times." Jake inserts.
In the mean time, Lin was probing Pedro's mind for any bad intentions he may have had towards the group. So far, she found nothing.
Johnny
Celo The Impossible wrote:
"The mind reader I don't know much about, but Jake seemed really protective of her. It was so cute!"
"You mean that China girl that Jake has gone head over heels over?" Johnny says to himself. While keeping his attention on Lexy. It was funny, Lexy seemed to be more calm than him--- And she was the one being held basically hostage. Now, if Lin is the mind reader; he'll definitely have to pay her a visit after all of this blows over. Perhaps she is the key to getting to the bottom of all of this traitor non-sense. Just ask the right questions, and get deep enough in their minds to figure out who's the traitor. Johnny narrowed his eyes at Lexy. He'll have to focus on her right now, and save Lin for later.
Celo The Impossible wrote:
"I ran into Hunter and Victoria after I woke up at the hospital. They were trying to figure out who killed their friend. It's just so sad how someone murdered her."
"That makes little sense..." Johnny says to Lexy, a little confused. He knew that Hunter could easily have been the one who killed Jia-li. What he wanted to know was why Hunter wanted to find out what happened to Jia-li. Since he was one of the two people who. This must have been some sick game to the freak, or he may have just wanted to look innocent. Unless... Johnny thinks to himself as he realizes what Hunter was really up to. "... But, at the same time it makes perfect sense!" Johnny thinks out loud, unwittingly, "He want to use Blackmore's sister to find and dispose of all the evidence! Then we'll be finding her in a million Asian pieces! I know what I must do!" Johnny says, like a champion. He knew that it was the only solid reason that Hunter could be planning. Now, right now, the only thing that Johnny wanted to do was find and tail Hunter, then take him down. Johnny thinks to himself like. Ready to go off and find Hunter, and reveal him as the traitor.
There was one problem that he had inadvertently made for himself: Lexy. He had just more or less, told her that he suspects Hunter as a traitor. While he knew that the girl wasn't very smart, he knew that the dumb ones would always blabber on any loose information. Just like she was doing right here. Plus, all the newcomers are a possible traitor in his mind. It's best that I keep perfect aim girl here until Gabe gets back... He narrowed his eyes again, and gave Lexy a very annoyed look. The last thing he wanted was for Lexy to run off and tell Hunter that Johnny's on to him. Which means that he'll have to extend their time together. He frowned, "Unfortunately, Perfect Aim girl, we're going have to extend our time together. I really can't have you spoiling my plans to the enemy, can I?" He spoke very charmingly, "We'll just have to sit tight until Gabe gets back, then she'll have her fun with you, without me."
However, he heard footsteps come into the room. That distracted him from Lexy, and put the attention on them. Which wasn't too bad of an idea. Johnny has the durability to take anything that Lexy could dish out, and speed to catch her.
It was his friend (Who he hasn't seen or spoken to, up until now) Taylor, and this Harry-Potter looking kid. He raised an eyebrow as he waited for someone to speak.

"Who the flying f*ck are you...?" Johnny hisses under his breathe. Ryan had crossed two lines with just one paragraph. First line crossed was his mere appearance. Johnny really didn't trust any of these new comers -Funny, one guy is found stabbed to death, and a girl MYSTERIOUSLY goes missing, and a bunch of new people just so HAPPEN to show up out of the blue- Regardless of who they were. Second line that Ryan crossed; was that Ryan read Johnny's mind. Without his personal. He was honestly skeptical about the telepathy part. Since Taylor knows a bit about his powers and could have told this guy. There was no definite way to tell. So, he thought specifically for Ryan to read, Funny, you're about to see my powers in action if you don't stop sticking your telepathic d*ck into my head, @sshole. He thinks with a devious smirk growing on his face. He wasn't afraid to fight Ryan here and now. Johnny's a top-tier Meta-human, and no lowly telepath could easily stop him. What really had set Johnny off was Ryan's Emotional Aura. Ryan's aura was fuzzy, and rather hard to read. Which means that Johnny's main way of telling if anyone was going to attack him was less than useful in this situation. Therefore, Ryan's mere presence has crossed two lines that Johnny has carefully set.
Coming to rescue your... Partner, eh Corvo? If that's even your real name. Johnny thinks to himself. "Welcome, oh lovely Taylor, to my friendly neighborhood, near hostage situation!" Johnny says to the pair in the most over-the-top fashion. Immediately after speaking, Johnny made his other, free hand into a finger gun and pointed it directly at Ryan's face. There was absolutely no reason for him to trust Ryan, regardless of if Taylor found him wandering around. Jesus christ, Taylor, I know your sister is dead and all. But, show some common sense for a second. The lights go out and you find some jack @ss running around, go the other direction.. Don't invite him with you... We could have been finding you dead, Taylor. Johnny thinks to himself, even though Ryan could have easily have read his thoughts. He shrugged off the thought, and focused on what's going on right now. His right eye started glowing a bright green, "Look, Corvo! You just wandered into the wrong room, motherf*cker! With the wrong OG! Hands in the air, don't move a muscle or you're in for a world of hurt! Complementary of Johnathon K. Valos! Haha." Johnny says in a very over-excited manner. "Don't take this personally, you two are just strangers--- Or as my friend here, Taylor, would put it; Étrangers. You're dirty and faceless, and there's a monster runnin' around 'ere with eyes aimed on killin'. And if I took things at face value; I'd be looooooong dead..." Johnny says in a calmer, quieter tone.
Now, he had two people, at (finger) gun-point. Ready for things to pop off, and go in hard. One hand at Lexy, another at Ryan. Ready to shoot either of them if they so happened to move. Heh, I guess we're going to be here for a bit. Until the lights come back on, and Gabe gets back; we're not going anywhere. Johnny thinks to himself, Ryan could pick up on the thoughts. I hope both of you are patience, and compliant. Now, Johnny knew that since Taylor was here, she could be quite helpful. "Now, oh lovely, Taylor... It'd be very rude if I gave ALL the attention to our guests here, now would I? Could you do me a big favor? Grab that girl purse for me." Johnny is referring to the purse that Lexy was carrying around and dropped right when all of this started. "There's knives in there."

Pedro
Pedro tilted his head at various angles, looking at the cage around him, before his gaze returned to the group. He shook his head, not angry, but very disappointed in them and their treatment of him. Didn't anyone know that it was regarded as an enormous insult to bring up the subject of putting people like him in cages and tanks? Not only that, but he had just escaped one cage, and now he was being thrown in another. He just looked at all of them, before opening his beak to speak again, "Nothing personal," He said, his voice sounding like a perfect replica of the one who had put the cage around him. He shook his head, and his voice returned to normal, "You hurt me, and your action is in error." He said. "If I did not wish to harm you before, who is to say I would have qualms with doing it now, after what you have just done? You are leaping to conclusions about people, and that will turn friends against you, if they are easily offended." He made a very good point, there was no sense in trying to deny it. You weren't going to get off to a good start if you jumped to conclusions. Pedro didn't even know why they were doing this to him, and he didn't quite understand what made them so suspicious. However, he knew that suspicion, while in a certain amount, was good, too much could be your own undoing.
He looked around at the cage, "This is not a real cage, is it? Metal bars do not appear out of the blue." He tapped a bar with one pale blue finger, "Very convincing, but I hope none of you take it as a hostile move when I use my powers to escape this. I simply do not like being in cages, you understand." He said. He was being completely open about his intentions, he had no aggression regarding the people in this room, but he couldn't tolerate being in any sort of cage, even if it was just an illusion. He then raised his wings, opening them to reveal iridescent blue-green feathers on their undersides. Pedro then flicked them, once, producing a tiny puff of rainbow-hued flames that blew towards the bars. "I highly advise you to stand back, I do not want to burn anyone." He warned. He then started beating his wings very hard, creating a powerful gust that both fueled his flames, and propelled them towards the bars, with each wing beat the flames grew more and more intense. Ripples of heat distortion began to appear around the cage.

Everyone got back from the illusion cage that Jake created. They knew that. The moment Pedro's fire came in contact with Jake's illusion, the illusion faded away. Intense heat that Pedro's fire generated fell under the Energy category, all because of thermal energy. Just like that, the illusion was gone. Allowing Pedro to run free and possibly attack them.
Great... You've offended him, Romeo. Lily thinks to herself as she rolled her eyes up into her head. She tightened her crossed arms even more now. She wasn't very pleased to see that this conversation taken a turn like this. It became less about just being suspicious of Pedro because he was here, and quickly became an issue of race. You jack@ss. Why didn't you put him in one of those glass domes...? God D*mn idiot. She hisses to herself. She knew where this was going, and she didn't like it. This was no different than the issues with of color of skin. Just replace skin color with Animal mutations, and there you have it, racism all over.
Now Jake felt like a colossal jerk for doing that. He keeps. But, they have no idea who this guy is, and just walking in on on them in the middle of the night. For all they know, he could be the one behind the power going on. "L-look..." Jake stutters, "I didn't do it because you're an animal-type, I would have did what I did regardless of if you were one or not. I don't hate people like you... I'm just a little-" Jake rambled on his excuses for what he's done. Hoping to regain face and end this here.
"He isn't hostile. I just know it." Lin says to the group, nonchalantly dropping a hint that she's a mind-reader. She ceased reading his mind. Knowing exactly what his intentions are. They are not hostile at all, and they are in the same situation that he is. "We both are in the same situation. You should know that we are not hostile either." She quickly says to Pedro, very calmly.
After getting confirmation that Pedro isn't hostile from Lin, Lily decided to take the stand here. As Jake muttered his half-assed excuses to save face, Lily just purposely bumped into him, shoulder to shoulder, pushing him aside. Thus silencing him. It was time that the leader of the group takes the stand. This whole predicament really embarrassed and irritated her. They're treating Pedro like a literal animal. She kept her chin up, and crossed her arms behind her back. Giving her a very leader-like pose. "Guys, I'll take it from here. You guys; say nothing unless I say so, ya' hear?" Lily says, blatantly flaunting her self-proclaimed leader position. And I don't care. You guys need a leader like me--- Or else you'll f*ck it all up. While she was doing so, she stepped in front of Jake, keeping her pose/stance at all times. Now was the time to fix this situation, she spoke to Pedro in perfect Spanish, since she recalled him using it before, "Mira, Pedro. No quiso decir que es así, estoy seguro. Es muy... Nervioso. Todos somos. El poder salía realmente eso no ayuda. Ser el líder del grupo; Me disculpo en... El nombre de todos, realmente. Por sólo tratarte así por estar aquí." After she was done speaking, she looked Pedro directly in the eye.
Whoa, we're using Spanish, now? Drake thinks to himself, being completely quiet the whole time. He was unsure of what to make of Pedro, and it had nothing to do with his Animal Meta-human status. Now he really couldn't resist a cigarette. Forgive me... He thinks to himself as he reaches into his jacket pocket, and pulls out both a cigarette and a lighter with one hand. It was his last cigarette, but he really needed it now more than ever. He put the cigarette in between his lips, and puts his free hand over the cigarette, as he starts his lighter. He lit the cigarette and put the lighter back into his pocket. Oh god, these are sooo bad for me... But I love 'em. Drake finally was getting his nicotine fix. He felt calmer, as he inhaled a puff of smoke. Now that he was content; he thought that he should say something to Pedro (Other than the fact that you look like Toucan Sam). He blew a puff of smoke from in between his lips, and put the cigarette in between his knuckles, "Well, bud, I have no idea what the hell Lily just said, or what was going through Jake's head-" I hope it was the greatest intentions "- But, I promise that what happened here, won't happen again. So, let's just... Move on. Before things get ugly." After he was done speaking, Drake extended his hand to Pedro. Regardless of if there is no way for Pedro to take his hand. It is a sign of goodwill, regardless.
Hopefully, Lily and Drake had defused the situation.

The moment upon hearing this, Charles was startled. He was in his own little world, sitting here by the window, watching the rain. Emily had snapped him back to reality, literally. He jumped a bit, falling off the chair he was sitting on. Landing on his shoulder, with a thump. All the random items he carries around to put his powers in spilled out all over the floor. Along with his glasses falling off his face. He has nearsightedness, which means he could only focus on everything that's close to him. Everything else was a blur. "W-who's there?!" He cowardly says to Emily. As he searches all over the floor, looking for the first thing that had a power in it. However, as he was feeling around, he managed to grab his wallet, containing X-Ray vision. He doubted it's capabilities without his own glasses--- But, it'll do. A green, electric-like light came out of the wallet, and traveled up his arm up into his head. Now, he has the power of X-Ray vision. Charles was still feeling around for his glasses, and finally managed to grab them. He slide them on his face, over his eyes. Returning his usual vision, and he looked at the source of the calling. His X-Ray vision allowed him to see through what Emily was hiding behind.

Now that the power was out throughout the school, the Traitor knew it was time to make a move. The Traitor ran around the corner to where the Animal Meta-humans were sleeping. Not even Nicole's sense of smell would be able to detect the Traitor, up until now. The Traitor was wearing a armor, with a large black gas-mask that obscured his/her face. That both gave him/her resistance to damage and concealed any notable features. Holding Hunter's Blood-Sword, that he/she gotten merely hours, and several flash bangs in hand, and plenty more in his/her outfit. The Flashbangs were obtained with currently unknown means. The Traitor had a simple plan: lug a flash bang at them, which will blind them, charge in, and kill someone with the sword. So that Hunter would be implicated, and one less Meta-human running around.
Without giving it a second thought, the Traitor pulled the pins off of three flash bangs and tossed them down the hallway towards Bones, Nicole and Sandy. With the grenades landing at their feet. In a few seconds, they would explode.

Pedro
Pedro folded one wing, and took Drakes hand in his own, giving a firm shake. Despite his wrist's movements being limited, there were few differences in the shape of his alula-hands compared to a normal human's. Aside from the fact that they were covered in pale blue scales, with small black nails, there was almost nothing altered about their design. He then folded that wing behind his back, too, as most bird-metas held their arms as a normal bird held its wings. It felt natural, and often looked natural, too. He then looked at Lily, "No estoy enojado, I am used to occurrences such as this, although I have a friend who suffers more so than I, I will probably look around the lake for her, later. Hopefully Frilly is not missing, as well." He said. Nobody knew who this 'Frilly' was, but more than likely, she was an animal-meta, too. It was easy to determine that perhaps her mutations were even more advanced than most of the animal-metas the group had encountered, so far. He looked around at the group, "Now, can you please tell me what has happened since I was thrown in the Detention Center? Where has everyone gone?"
Willow, Nicole, Sandy, & Toby
The animal-metas had been known for a very long time for their powerful will and desire to survive. Although the traitor had somehow managed to be overlooked, even by Nicole's powerful senses, they could not hide the distinctive sound of the pins on the three flash-bangs being pulled. They would not be killed so easily, none of them. Nicole quickly swept her wing along the floor, launching two of the devices back at whoever had thrown them, and then using her other wing to shield her eyes, closing them tightly, and rooting her talons to where she stood, in order to keep her from being thrown back by a concussive blast. She didn't know that the nature of the devices was non-lethal, but she was better off treating them as dangerous grenades that could kill. Bones immediately decreased the density of the three bones in her ears, preventing sound from traveling through them from the ear drum to the cochlea, protecting her hearing from whatever volume the blast would produce. She then threw herself to the floor, rapidly commanding her bones to generate a shell from her spine beneath the skin, which would protect her back. She shut her eyes tightly, preparing from the blast that would soon happen.
The last flash bang grenade rolled to a stop at Sandy's feet, and, not knowing what else to do, she commanded her adrenal glands to start producing enormous amounts of adrenaline. Sandy's unique powers permitted her not only to intentionally control her hormones and pheromones, but also to produce both in massive quantities compared to everyone else. High concentrations of adrenaline were typically a kind of last resort, as while they endowed Sandy with extremely enhanced senses, reflexes, and strength, it also backfired on her later. She would feel sick later, from doing this, both because it was use of her powers, and because of the hormone's after-effects. Toby would be fine, so long as he was behind his locked door, but Sandy was in more immediate danger. She turned around and started running impossibly fast, her prey instinct telling her to flee as quickly as possible and find help. Nicole and Bones were closer to more danger than her, and she didn't need to look behind her to know the Traitor was trying to kill them.
The three flash-bangs went off, and the two closest to Bones and Nicole, while further away and with minimized effectiveness, hindered them in different ways, while the third could not hurt Sandy, but would surely wake up Toby. Nicole's eyes were saved, thanks to her quick action of shielding them, but she now had a terrible headache that threw off her balance, and her ears rang, she couldn't hear anything. Bones couldn't hear anything to begin with, having decreased the density of her ear bones, but she returned them to normal when the devices went off, restoring her hearing, without any negative effects. However, her eyelids could not keep her from being blinded, she couldn't see. She stood up, looking blindly back and forth, listening for any sign of something other than feathers. Nicole wavered dizzily, but her blurry vision still allowed her a weak ability to make out the traitor. "We'll kill you...just wait..." She murmured. She raised her wings, touching one to Bones so she knew she was there, and half because she didn't want to fall over. She brandished the talons on the other wing, ready to strike if the stranger got too close. She couldn't smell him, but she could still see, somewhat.
Although nobody had their senses completely destroyed, they were still horribly off balance, and the traitor's plan was only half-successful. He would not be able to kill either one of them without having to fend off the other, and even so, there was no longer an element of surprise. In addition, one had gotten away, and was running to find help.

Crystal looked curiously at the newcomer. He looked a lot like Nicole, to her. She wasn't surprised when Jake made a cage around the animal meta human. The kid just had trust issues. Then again it's hard not to with a traitor on the loose. Crystal took a step back when Pedro used the strange fire ability of his and broke the illusion. Please don't let there be a fight, please don't..... okay.
Lily seemed to have it under control. Crystal only knew a few spanish words but not enough to know what was just said. Crystal remained silent even after Pedro's question, not wanting to screw things up.
--- Lexy --- "What do you mean Gabe will have fu-" Lexy's sentence was cut short by some dude. Another telepath! Cool! Whoooo is now at invisible gun point as well. All because of the traitor. Lexy frowned. She didn't like this traitor stuff. It was just stupid. Who even knew the traitor was real anyways? What if there wasn't really a traitor?
"Who says the traitor is even a student? What if the traitor isn't even a from the Othergrounds?" Lexy let out a gasp, smiling brightly while remaining with her hands in the air, "We could do some detective act! A good cop-bad cop deal! Johnny could be the bad cop, and..."Lexy cast a glance at Taylor, "You the good one! Ready aaaaaand, action!" No one else probably understood what in the world she was talking about.

Is this girl retarded? Johnny thought to himself as he turned his head away from Ryan and Taylor, and turned it towards Lexy. He wondered what the hell she was talking about. Her Emotional Aura, remained as happiness. Obviously, the girl took this as one big joke. Jokes are his specialty, and now isn't the time for any jokes. He moved the finger pointed at Lexy off by a few inches. He fired off a Devil Kiss, to the left of Lexy's head. It was a marble-shaped, white orb, surrounded by a blood red fire. It whirled right past her at high speed. She wouldn't get hit by it, as Johnny purposely missed. However, she would feel the intense heat that it generated. It hit the wall right behind. Johnny smiled fiendishly "Oh, I'm sorry, ya'll. Finger must'a slipped." Johnny says to Lexy, sarcastically as ever, putting emphasis on Finger. Johnny wanted to say something about her question about the Traitor being a student. This made Johnny laugh, "Look, little lady. The problem that I'm having is that I don't know the answer to your question, it's ambiguous on who this traitor could even be. And it's so ambiguous; that it'd be retarded to chances and let my guard down... Especially with such suspicious people running around..." He trailed off, peering at Ryan, "... So, I honestly suggest keeping your jaw closed, I don't want to hear your B.S attempts at getting me to let my guard down so you can scurry off and do... Whatever."
The Traitor
When Nicole had "deflected" the flash bangs, The Traitor immediately ducked behind the corner. Using it as cover for the blast of the flash bang. Just to preserve it's own senses, the Traitor covered it's ears and closed it's eyes, under the mask and armor. The Traitor wasn't too affected by the flash bang. Now, there were only two now. Instead of three. Which means that one of them ran off. Leaving only the Bones, and Nicole standing there, looking dizzy and off balance, perfect prey. The one that got away is either is hiding or going off to get help, and the Traitor assumed that the latter was going to occur here. There was no way that the Traitor could take on the entire group at once, or even get away. Which is why this will have to be quick, and finish them off quickly. However, the Traitor definitely didn't want to charge them head on. That's what they were expecting. The Traitor pulled out another flash bang and pulled the pin. Instead of tossing it directly at them, the Traitor half-tossed it at them. It landed out of their reach, and simply wouldn't blind them--- The Traitor wanted to use the blast as cover and a distraction. Once it exploded, the Traitor ran down the hallway he/she was standing on at high speed. The Traitor maneuvered through the halls of the dorms, and tried to get around them.
Nicole would notice that the Traitor's scent and sound simply disappeared.
Drake, Jake, Lily & Lin

Now everything seemed to be settling down. Everyone relaxed quite a bit. Drake shook Pedro's wing, and let go. However, he noticed a small reaction taking place. A small amount of the very same red energy that his new form of comprised of, illuminated a bit of Pedro's nervous system. What Drake didn't know was that he had inadvertently charged Pedro's power, and Pedro would feel slightly stronger for a bit. He quickly put his cigarette back in between his lips for another puff of smoke. He was a bit worried there for a little bit, and felt a bit stupid now. This new form that he was currently transformed into could have easily fried Pedro, since Drake has no idea of the capabilities of this new form.
"That's... Good. I mean, you not being angry is good. Not..." Lily says in a nervous and hesitant tone--- And found herself trailing off. That nervousness, that she was using all of her will to suppress, surfaced there for a moment. Hopefully Pedro won't be turned off that. Lily took her hands from behind her back and put them at her side. Pedro was, so far, friendly. There was a bit of suspicion of him, however, and it wasn't just from her. Thank god he didn't about how Lin figured out that he wasn't hostile.
ViperaUnion wrote:

"Wait..." Jake says to Pedro, in a confused tone. "You didn't hear any of that? Nothing at all?" Jake says, like he didn't believe it at all. Since Johnny and Sylvia survived this purely by hiding in the detention center (With a little bit of illusions), they heard everything that went on outside. The screaming, the shooting, and the chaos. All of it. He was very suspicious to find out that Pedro didn't notice any of that. Regardless of Lin's telepathy, he was still very skeptical. Then again, he may just be getting paranoid here--- Who could blame him? There's a Traitor within their ranks. "... The Academy was attacked for hours. Soldiers came in waving guns around like maniacs, shooting everybody with darts and dragging them off. It's obvious that people fought back. I don't really know exactly what happened myself... I was hiding. I guess everyone that got away is with us..." He spoke blankly, and hesitantly. Staring Pedro in the eye. Because this is something he didn't like talking about.
Inhaling another puff of cigarette smoke, Drake spoke after Jake was finished. Adding on what he experienced when they first got here, "And on my end, me, my sister, and some other guys arrived here yesterday night... I guess after whatever the hell happened here blew over..." Drake shrugs. He didn't really know what to say. He was going to save the story of what they've been through, for later.

Pedro & Sandy
Sandy suddenly came charging down the steps into the room, running much faster than what one would expect her to be able to go, and then skidding to a halt. When she stood, she looked so frightened, that she might bolt at even the slightest indication of danger. Her arms and legs trembled, and her pupils had dilated to the point that her irises were practically nonexistent. Her breath came in short, quick gasps. Even her scent had changed, one that was so strong that even one with the senses of a normal human could detect it, and know the message the pheromone carried. It was sheer terror, to the greatest degree. She tried to speak, but her words took on a messy cluster of words, she couldn't elaborate an actual sentence. "T-traitor a-attacking! Grenades!... Bones and N-Nicole!" The words weren't very organized, but it was clear she meant that her friends were in danger. "H-Help!" She had clearly escaped to get someone to help.
"Nobody knows who sent them? What are they going to do to those poor people? I hope things turn out better than they seem now-" Pedro was cut off when a bat-like girl ran down the stairs, looking and smelling strongly of fear and terror. His feathers instinctively ruffled at the scent, fear like that was contagious to other animal-metas, and it had to be extremely bad to make her look the way she did. When she spoke, her words were barely understandable, but he did catch the 'Grenade' part. He jumped, "Grenades? Here!?" Willow, Nicole & Toby
Nicole's ears were starting to recover from the blast. Though her hearing was still pretty messed up, at the moment, her sense of balance was coming back, and her vision became clearer as a result. She couldn't smell the traitor, or even hear them. The absence of that sensory input immediately led her to believe that this traitor's powers involved somehow not giving off those two things. That meant he could sneak up on anyone, no matter how good their senses were. Bones' vision was still awful, but she could now make out vague shapes, though the light seemed too bright. Her stomach did a flip flop, but she didn't throw up, despite the nausea. "Nicole, we can't be exposed like this..." She said, and Nicole, looking at her, was only able to read her lips. "I can't hear you clearly, but at least I can read lips. We got to get out of here, we're in danger as long as we're exposed like this. I'm not taking any chances."
Suddenly, Toby came bursting out of his room. Because he was far enough away, and wasn't in the same place, he wasn't affected by any of the flash bangs. All they did was serve to make a noise capable of waking him up. "What's going on here?!" He cried, "I heard something!" He barked. He then saw Nicole and Bones down the hall, looking disoriented and miserable. He darted over to them, not using his super-speed, he wasn't going to use it unless he needed to. "What happened?!" He asked. "Toby, the traitor..." She said. The dog-manatee's eyes narrowed, and he bared his teeth, "He did this to you?" He growled, suddenly growing protective. "Can't see well, Nicole can't hear much..." Bones murmured. "Stun Grenades." Toby jumped slightly at this, "Stun grenades? then your senses will come back in a few more seconds, but we can't stay here, we have to move." Without any consent or hesitation, he picked up Nicole in one paw--she was a lot easier to carry with his paw because she weighed so little--and grabbed Bones by the collar of her jacket. He then carried them both to his open door, and forced them into his room, before shutting the door quietly, and locking it. He then picked up a chair, trying not to make noise, and put it behind the door, so that it was barred. "Stay quiet, and stay near the floor, away from the door." He ordered, before backing away and positioning himself to the side of the entrance to his room, prepared to pounce at anything that came in. Bones, heeding his words, quickly backed away from the door, dragging a mostly-deaf Nicole with her, and pressed her back against the wall, sliding down to the floor.
The three then fell silent. This was not much different from what was done in a normal school, during a code red intruder drill. Teachers were ordered to turn off their lights (The power was out, no sense doing that), lock their door, and stay out of the line of sight of the door. Students were ordered to sit down near a wall, and be very quiet. This was done to prevent the intruder from trying to come into the room, and if they knew someone was inside, their position was meant to prevent them from being shot through the door, as code red usually meant either a bomb threat, or someone carrying a gun. In this case, it was a little bit of both. The door would prevent any further Stun grenades from having effect, and if someone tried to come in, regardless if they were friendly or not, they would immediately get tackled by Toby. Despite this, the door was locked, and the chair barring it would prevent it from easily being opened from the outside. Nobody moved, nobody breathed. Nobody made a sound.

Nick
Nick's eyes snapped open from their concentrated and closed position. Was that... Was that Faith? His hand stopped moving over his guitar and he looked up.. or down because he was on the ceiling. There was Faith, standing on the doorway. The look on Nick's face was comical really. His eyes were wide, and his jaw dropped... or went up a cit closer to the ceiling. "Faith!" Nick exclaimed, floating down to the ground rather fast and falling onto the couch. He set his guitar down and stood up. He walked up to her rather quickly and then proceeded to wrap his arms around her waist in a hug. He buried his head into the crook of her neck and took in her scent.
"I missed you... Have you been here this whole time?" Nick asked, pulling back with his hands on her shoulders. He had her grasped firmly, but not tightly. He was afraid she would go away if he let go. He looked how over. She still had the brown hair with light blue highlights, skinny jeans, and her paint splatter jacket. "Are you alright? I've only been here for about an hour and it sounds like a bomb went off.
-------------
Dragonfly
"I can undersstand how you feel perfectly." Dragonfly said, nodding slightly and reasoning Jake's decision out. "Everyone was on edge going down into the Sub-Basement." He shook his head as TJ came back to mind. "And we learned why. A lot of people were injured." He said, sighing. He loved the dark, he was part of it, so he had no problem with the school as it was, but he remembered that there was a traitor in the school. He remembered someone being taken for storage. The scent of blood in the Sub-basement overpowering the sewage. He had never told Drake. He would need to say something to him. He placed his hands on Livvy, who he had put on his shoulders to make sure he stayed stable on him. He turned as he felt another presence, and a second later some rainbow bird Tocan came through a door.
Jake then created a large metal bar case around the animal meta human. "I know you're jumpy, but that'ss a bit too far." Dragonfly said, slightly ticked. "We are not zoo animalss." He spat, his eyes narrowing at the illusionist before he drew his attention to the animal meta after sensing heat, who was now spitting flames to distort the illusions. This animal meta was not a smart one. Neither was he, but he had the common knowledge to talk his way out instead of power his way out. The former made people be a lot less likely to do it again.
Of course, the situation defused very soon after, thanks to Drake and Lily. He was happy he wouldn't hav to take Livvy outside. "Yeah, letss move on from this, pleasse." Dragonfly said, shaking his head. Suddenly, Sandy burst through the door, screaming something to do with a traitor attacking. He was glad that he was here. Now they would know that the traitor wasn't him. "Doess anyone have the ability to defend againsst a grenade?"
-------------
Nobody
"I couldn't be anyone else." Nobody replied, smiling to Claire. "I'm you, with a different future." she said, smiling to Claire once again. That was probably a very vague thing to say. As it had nothing to do with her past, although her past made up her future, and because her future was different that would mean... She wouldn't think it all the way through. Anyone with a good IQ score would get stuck on the quote and ponder it. "And because of that future," Nobody said, trailing off, making her way to the door of the dorm. "I highly recommend you find Crystal and have her heal you up. The traitor is attacking, and this time it came with grenades. Drake doesnt want to be a thunder god for a little while, so a lighting goddess might help."
"Helping them out could get rid of some of your enemies, and we know Drake and Dragonfly would appreciate it." Nobody opened the door and stepped out into the hallway. However, she stopped, and turned back to look at Claire again momentarily. "Just some food for thought." And then, Nobody turned the corner, and was gone. Where he went, nobody would know, but he was nothing.
But nothing, in this case, was something.

Emily felt less self conscious after Charles jumped off his chair. His tone of voice made it clear that he was spooked, this put her at ease. She noticed that he had dropped his glasses and a number of small assorted objects. Whatever could those be for? Before she could think on it much his hand came upon his wallet, a green light emitted from it and shot up his arm. A moment later he locate his spectacles and replaced them on his head. He then uncannily zeroed in on her potion, this surprised Emily after his display of clumsiness. She stepped completely into the open and said "I'm not gonna lie, I do bite, you just don't look that appetizing". Her eyes twinkled mischievously and she continued. "The name's Emily, and that was a pretty cool thing you did there with the wallet". Charles found that his X-ray vision was unable to penetrate both Emily's clothes and body.

Faith blushed as she returned a hug to Nick, "I'm fine, though I've been here longer then an hour. I've lost track of time though... There was an attack earlier here, and so I was afraid of leaving my dorm. When the lights went out though... I was curious," Faith smiled sheepishly. It is always curiosity that got her. "W-What about you? You look fine, but still..." Faith looked around nervously. "This place isn't safe- the floating eyes I know I'm okay with because, you know," she shrugged, referring to her power, "I feel uneasy about everything else, though. But there are others here, I think ... I, um... haven't talked to anyone else though."
--- Lexy --- Lexy flinched as the devil kiss rushed past, the heat easily felt against her skin. Johnny wasn't going to get any friends like this, obviously. If there's a so-called traitor around wouldn't it be a good idea to get some allies? Lexy frowned. He was just so rude!
Her frown was short lived and soon replaced with a smile. Best to stay happy, right? Lexy nodded at Johnny, "Okay, I'll shut up now." She then looked down at her feet, trying to be quiet, which takes a lot for Lexy, considering how much she enjoyed talking. Lexy decided to distract herself by studying everyone. The new telepath seemed fun- like he also enjoyed talking! the girl was Johnny's friend... Lexy wondered if she was as mean as him. The girl didn't seem mean, thougj... --- Crystal ---
Crystal jumped up when she heard the news delivered by Sandy. She was ready to use her ability now without her headache. "Grenades? Is anyone hurt? I can help!" She didn't ever like feeling useless,so Crystal was ready to help.

Sandy & Pedro
Sandy frantically shook her head, "Don't k-know if anyone's hurt. I r-ran to avoid the b-blast, and didn't look back. I had to g-get help. I think they're s-stun grenades, we should have heard them go off from h-here if they weren't. They're made to disorient e-enemies. Completely blinds for f-five seconds, and temporarily destroys h-hearing and b-balance. T-traitor was c-carrying a red sword, disguised in armor and a g-gas mask. D-don't know if it's Hunter, he s-said his sword was stolen. If N-Nicole survives, she might r-remember the scent and k-know who's responsible." She looked over her shoulder, "P-please, we need to h-hurry! Before someone gets k-killed!" She then turned and ran back to the exit of the room where she came from, skidding to a stop and looking on. She quickly made a 'come on!' motion with one arm.
Pedro's feathers stood on end, making him look twice his size, "We should hurry, then. Safety is in numbers, we must prevent further death, if so much has occurred already. I am not waiting for anyone to agree with me, come or stay, your choice to make. I am going." He then started to go over to Sandy, in quick-paced strides. His movements were reminiscent of a crane, his body held level and steady, regardless of the motions of his legs.

"What?!" Drake, Jake, Lily and Lin say confused all at the same time. From what they gathered from the exhausted and panicking Sandy. The Traitor was attacking what they assumed to be the Animal Meta-humans by tossing grenades at them. This wasn't a good sign at all. This Traitor was clearly attempting to take advantage of the confusion of the darkness and take out a few people. None of them were going to allow this--- However, the stress of the situation really dampened their ability to think.
Immediately after piecing enough of what Sandy is saying together, Drake balled his fists up and slammed his fist on the nearest table hard as he could. Creating a loud boom, and really hurting his hand. "Point me in the f*cker's direction! I'll shove those grenades square up his @ss!" He shouted at the very top of his lungs. Drake was ready to fight this traitor and finish this, once and for all.
Lily on the other hand, didn't exactly think straight enough to piece together a plan. "Okay, uh, um, yeah..." She stuttered. She wasn't in the right of mind right now. All the stress packing up on top of her really threw her off right now. Holy hell... C'mon Lil... Get it together. She thinks to herself as sweat drips down her face. "Okay, okay.... I can think of something... Give me a minute." To cry. Lily sits down on the nearest chair with her arms crossed tight. "What the hell am I going to do...?" She says to herself, inadvertently loudly enough for everyone around her to hear. Lily had zero idea of what to do right now.

"Look... I know everything's crazy and all... But..." Jake says. He was the one who remained the most calm in the situation. Everyone was scared and all, but putting both of those together, in a situation like this, was a disaster waiting to happen. He spoke to Sandy with all the honesty in his heart, "... I don't think we should all charge into that without a plan..." Jake stopped for a moment to look around at everyone here, Lin, Lily, Drake, Crystal, Dragonfly, Livvy, Pedro... They all had the same goal in mind when you come down to it; survival. Survival would mean that they don't do things like charge in there head first. "Let's take a step back here for a moment, and think... What if this is what he wants... This could just be a trap. It's a bad idea for all of us to go in there...." Jake reasoned with the two, the thing he didn't want was for Lin or Livvy to go. They were too... Valuable, for them to lose. Plus, from the way Jake sees it, only Lily, Drake and himself need to go. They were the three best equipped for taking down the traitor. Jake could easily trap the traitor alone, Lily has the ability to track people, and Drake has the firepower to contend with mostly anyone. "I personally say that a small group stays here, and another goes to check up on them. I'll be going myself, since I have the best chance of catching this Traitor, and I can slip us in unnoticed."
"... He does have a point..." Lily just nonchalantly inserts. "Let's... I'll go." Lily says, quickly adding in that she's going to.
"I'm goin' too. I won't miss this for anything!" Drake says, the rush of battle.
The Traitor
They had retreated into a room, and locked the door. The Traitor knew when to fold them. There was little in his/her arsenal that could kill the animal metas without revealing his/her identity. Plus, help is obviously on the way. This attack has gone EXACTLY as plan. The Traitor wanted to fear monger among the group, and what better way to do it than this? They would be on edge, and ready to jump up and blame anyone for all of this. For now, The Traitor would have to retreat. The Traitor turned down the hallway he/she came from, using the blackout as cover for an easy getaway.
Therefore, the Traitor slipped off unnoticed again. Hiding in one of the easily millions of hiding places that the Othergrounds offered.

Now there was a giant bird running around along with a giant lizard. Livvy just had no idea of what was happening, anymore, and so she resorted to looking up at the ceiling above her. Of course, saying she looked at the ceiling above her isn't totally correct, because to young little Livvy, there was no ceiling, merely empty air, opened up to the glittering stars and white moon above. She stared up at the cosmos like a turkey trying to get a sip of water during the rain storm, blissfully unaware of what was going on.
For a while. I mean, things were going great, right? Her friend Dragonfly was there, they were still probably going on an adventure, life....life was good. She missed the exchange with Birdman being trapped in the cage entirely, being off in her own little world, but something snapped Livvy back to reality rather quickly: some of the older kids started cursing! And one of them was smoking! That was like, really bad. Livvy inhaled sharply, giving Drake the "You're gonna be in so much trouble" look. "He's not supposed to do that," Livvy whispered to Mr. Teddy, who presumably agreed with her.
Then....then Jake said some...really troubling things. Things about people coming in with guns and shooting and people getting dragged off. Livvy latched on to his every word with a mixture of morbid fear and terrible curiosity. What...that wasn't....there were people with guns running around? Like...like....bad guys? The weight of the "water gun" in Livvy's backpack suddenly increased tenfold, threatening to pull her down to the ground, and she started shaking. Ev...everyone that got away? B-but...what happened to...oh no. Oh no. This was really bad. An overwhelming urge for her mom and dad overcame Livvy, and she almost opened her mouth to tell Dragonfly she just really wanted to go home right now but someone else burst in (this was just getting ridiculous, now) and started talking loudly about people with grenades and attacking and hurt people.
What was going on? This...her parents told her she was going to a school, and....and the ooze thing had been some crazy monster or vivid nightmare but not real, it couldn't have been real, monsters weren't...but....but then what was going on with Dragonfly, who couldn' have been human (but he was still really nice though) and the new bird guy, who made flames? Livvy was trembling now, poor Mr. Teddy being slung back and forth with alarming rapidity, and quite suddenly Livvy found her her knees far too weak to hold her and she was sitting on the ground, burying her face into Mr. Teddy. Around her, the dancing greens and blue aurora began to pick up once again, the faint noise, like wind across an open field, emanated out, and the faintest silver glow began to peek out through her pale skin, if only by a touch. She didn't get why...how....how any of this could be happening, how there could be people with guns and (oh no she had one what if they thought she was bad and they put her in jail no she couldn't tell anybody not ever except for Mr. Teddy) ooze-monsters and and and
"D-dragonfly," Livvy whispered, her voice voice shrill and shaky. Her sparkling eyes were less confident, now, the happiness and energy gone-now, they were wide with fear and watery with tears. "What's happening?"

"Wait up!" Claire got up from the bed and ran after the fleeing Nobody, wanting to know more about this 'different future'. She ran down the hall, but no one was to be found. Nobody had just...vanished. Claire leaned against the door post, cursing under her breath as a burn on her spine touched the wood. Was it remotely possible that Nobody had just been a figment of Claire's imagination? Maybe she had been rescued by a random stranger, and her consciousness had created a figure to have rescued her. Yeah, that was it; a stranger. Hell, maybe she'd gotten up and walked to the bed before passing out. One thing was for sure, though; she had to find this chick Crystal, and then she had to hunt down this traitor. It could be the only way for Claire to ever have friends again. Suddenly, her thoughts of TJ were pushed to the back of her mind with this drive. It was what he would have wanted her to do if he had still been alive. She was sure that if he had lived, he'd be the first one to go after the traitor. Claire stood upright and slowly began to make her way down the hall towards her dorm. Before anything, she needed to change her clothes. The burst had reduced the ones she was wearing to rags of burnt cotton. She needed something more...fitting for what she was about to do.
Spoiler:
It was time to brush off that old leather jacket.
Ryan and Taylor
As Johnny leveled the finger gun at Ryan, Taylor made her way across the room, careful not to step in anyone's crossfire for fear of getting devil kissed. She grabbed The purse and looked in it to see, lo and behold, sharp and dangerous-looking knives. Of all things on the planet, one of Taylor's least-favorite things was knives. Many a time she had cut her fingers with knives while cooking to the point where she would wear a pair of thick, heavy-duty gloves whenever cutting with a sharp knife. Instead of risking a break in one of her freshly-manicured nails, Taylor opened the cap on the water bottle and caused a bubble of water to appear around every knife. The bubbles rose in the air, out of Lexy's reach, taking the weapons with them. She pointed the knives straight downwards, ready to launch them at Lexy or Ryan if they moved. Now that she had killed, Taylor knew that she could do it again, if she had to. Nobody else was going to die at the hands of the bastards that killed her sister.
"These knives?" she said, feeling rather badass-like as the knives hung over Lexy and Ryan.
Speaking of which, Ryan right now was getting extremely nervous. He knew he could easily survive whatever Taylor and Johnny threw at him, but doing so would require him revealing his most terrifying secret; a secret that he wished to keep away from everyone as long as he possibly could. So, Ryan heeded Johnny's words, and put his hands high in the air.
Look, man. Ryan thought-spoke into Johnny's head I'm sorry I read your mind. I'm just kinda spooked right now, just like you are. Ten minutes ago I woke up in my dorm to find that my whole world had been turned upside down. Yeah; I'm kinda paranoid right now. You don't want to kill me. I can help you find this traitor. I can read their mind and find their identity. I swear to you, whoever this traitor is, I'm not them, whatever my words mean to you. Ryan finished his little mind-speech, but stayed silent in reality when he saw the knives float over his head. There was no way he could get out of this without wimping out, which would seriously cramp his style, but would keep, you know, his life intact.
"I surrender!" he called out, smiling nervously "My hands are up and I have dropped my weapon. I have the right to remain silent. Anything I say can and will be used against me!" He threw the last part in in an attempt to lighten the mood some with a joke, but it looked like it wouldn't work. He had pissed off the wrong crowd.

Willow, Nicole, Toby, Sandy & Pedro
Sandy winced when the little girl seemed to be on the brink of tears. She didn't want to scare children, she didn't need that in the back of her mind. However, it was either act like nothing was wrong to keep her calm, or get some help before someone died. As much as she didn't want to upset a child, Sandy knew that it wasn't worth one of her friends dying. "Well, people coming with me, come, but let's hurry!" She said, shooting Dragonfly an apologetic look before she took off down the hallway, the toucan man and any others who wanted to fight off the traitor following her lead. She eventually arrived in the hallway where the rooms of her friends were, skidding to a halt when she saw little to no structural damage, and that her friends were not there. There was no evidence of if they had gotten killed, because there was no blood, so that hopefully meant they were okay. "Okay, this was where we were. It looks like those were just stun grenades, there's not enough damage for them to have been the real deal." She said, before lifting her head and sniffing. Although she wasn't a tracker like Nicole or Dragonfly, she could still make out things by scent, her olfactory senses having been enhanced by her powers.
She then followed her nose over to Toby's door, and frowned. "Toby was asleep, but I think the blast would have woken him up. He wouldn't have been affected as long as he stayed in his room." She then reached for the knob and tried to twist it, only to find it locked, and even more jammed than a locked door was supposed to be. She scowled even more deeply, now. "I think it's barricaded, guys." She said. She then raised her voice, "Toby! It's Sandy! Let us in!" She yelled. After a moment, there was some movement in the room, and the sound that accompanied the sliding of a chair. The doorknob then started to move, and then it unlocked. The door slowly opened, and Toby's face appeared behind it.
"Guys? Oh, man, I'm glad to see you." He said, stepping out into the hall, followed by Bones in Nicole, who were supporting one another. They looked relatively unharmed, but Bones' pupils were too small for the lighting in the hall, and Nicole had a puzzled look on her face. Bones blinked rapidly, as though struggling to get her eyes to adjust. "I woke up when the grenades went off, and I got these two out of the hall before something bad happened." Toby explained. Bones then picked up, "Those things messed us up, I can hardly see right now, and Nicole's practically deaf, at the moment, unless you yell." She didn't turn to Nicole before raising her voice, indicating just how poorly she could see at the moment. "Nicole! Do you remember anything about the Traitor? You're the only one who actually saw 'em!" She said. Nicole frowned, and shook her head, before turning to the rest of the group. "Whoever it was, I didn't know they were coming until they pulled the pins. They didn't make any noise, they don't even have a smell. I think that's the Traitor's power, they can't be tracked. They were wearing this weird armor, and a gas mask. I don't think when I kicked two of the grenades back that they had any effect. He had a sword, though, dark color, not normal. I think that's the sword that Hunter had stolen. I don't know if it was him, though." Her voice wasn't yelling, but it was definitely a loud, projecting volume.

The power quickly snapped back on after the Eyes had done all they could to correct the damage done to the power by Claire's Burst. Lights, and everything that required power, turned back on.
Johnny

"Now aren't you a good girl." Johnny says to Taylor, in a very flirty tone. So, it turned out that Lexy was actually carrying weapons. Which means that he was justified in all of this. She could have been trying to take him for easy prey. However, she failed horribly when she saw that this pretty (scarred) face had a fairly vicious side. Prepared to end the life of a fourteen-year-old girl when it came down to it. If Lexy was smart, whether or not she was the traitor, she'd learn from this and avoid him. "Now, Lexy. It turns out that I was justified in my suspicions... I'll be keeping these knives for myself, thank you." Yeah, I'll relay this message to my associates that you were carrying around a knife. Johnny thinks to himself, not caring if Ryan was reading his mind. Next time the bastard drops that he was reading Johnny's mind; he's going to be counting teeth.

So, Ryan-boy's a telepath after all... Johnny thought to himself, annoyed as ever, as the thoughts were put into his head. For this one moment, Johnny was going to let this slide. Merely because Ryan said something that interested him... Slightly. But, he really didn't trust the guy. "Now Ryan..." Johnny says out loud, since he really didn't want Ryan going into his head any further. He was ready to give a speech to the telepath, "I understand that you think that I will take things at face-value. Just like I said before, if I did that, it'd be dead. You also have to understand that I don't know if you're lying or not. I ain't a Telepath, I'm a Negative-Empath, and what perturbs me is that your aura is hard to read. I don't think I'd be in the right of mind if I believed you without some solid proof... Which I know that I'm not going to get. And, as nice as it would be for you to just read someone's head and find out who's the traitor... Ya see, there's far too many variables in this for me to accept your help. For all I know, you could just pick anyone to be the traitor just to take heat off... The real traitor." After he finished his speech, he sighed, and divided his attention between Lexy and Ryan.
The light suddenly snapped back on, and that Justin Timberlake song started playing again. That paranoia in him was being suppressed by Taylor's presence, and the power coming back. Just not enough for him to completely let his guard down. These strangers are still as much as a threat to him with or without the lights on. Johnny certainly didn't want to stand here all day with them at "gunpoint". He has business to attend to. First and foremost, he needs to find Gabe. Then he'll run by the Hospital and scoop up what's left of Jia-li, before Hunter gets his hands on it. He'll bring Taylor along, just for some extra firepower. "Alright, strangers. I'm in a devilishly good mood right now..." He briefly turned his head towards Taylor, and gave her a warm smirk. "... So, I'm going to let you all go. Everyone who's name isn't Taylor better get lost fast, or else I'll be dragging either of you out, @ss-first.... So, kick rocks, ya' no-names!" He started laughing. While he wants to let them go; he kept his fingers pointed at them at all times. The last thing he wanted to do was let his guard down and get sneak attacked. While his Emotional Energy form allowed him resistance to harm, relying on that defense would be stupid.
There was something he wanted to say to Lexy, before she runs off, "And Lexy. Little girl, a quick word of advice since we're in a similar situation here... I would stay away from Hunter, he's that special, serial killer, kind of strange." Johnny shrugged, before continuing, "But, what you do concerning him is the least bit of my concern. And if you die, you'd just be another faceless girl dead, another corpse rotting in the pile." He spoke in a dead serious tone, like he was offering a bit of advice. This was his way of repaying her for all the (fun) times they had here. Whether Lexy was (or affiliated with) the Traitor will be revealed soon. Then, strangely, all of that changed "That is all, little lady. You are dismissed. Hugs and kisses!" Johnny's tone quickly changed to a fake, overly kind and cheesy tone. Purely for sarcasm.
If the two Johnny held hostage were smart, they would stay away from him from here on in.
Jake, Lin, Lily, & Drake
The lights in the cafeteria snapped back on, giving the group back their light. Which means that they don't have to rely on Jake's illusions any further for light.
With one snap of his fingers, Jake's illusion of the sun, above the group, disappeared. It had no further purpose. Jake thought that it'd be a good time to take action. They can see clearly now, and they don't have to rely any further on these illusions. That may give the group a bit more peace of mind as they go help. They don't have to worry about the traitor sneaking up from behind them and attacking. Jake had the perfect plan for getting the group in without the traitor even noticing them. However, his thought process was interrupted by Sandy.
ViperaUnion wrote:
"Well, people coming with me, come, but let's hurry!"
"Yeah! I'm tired of waiting!" Drake shouted, as he ran over to Sandy, cigarette in between his lips. That anger in him was dragging him to the situation that was going on with the traitor. Regardless of they were hesitant or not. His friends were in danger--- And that was enough for him to act. Oppose to thinking, what Victoria does. His current form gave him no offensive powers, but that didn't stop him from feeling powerful as ever.
"Wait!" Jake shouts at Sandy and Drake, putting his hand out like he was going to grab one of them--- Only to stop himself. If the girl wasn't careful, she was going to run head-first into a trap. He couldn't blame her, personally. Time that he put his plan into action. He snapped his fingers, and crafted a very large illusion around himself. This was a dome of sorts, and something that he has crafted time and time again. This dome made everyone inside the dome invisible, impossible to see, until you step through it. The perfect means of stealth. They would be impossible to see. From inside the dome, the area around them was somewhat blurry, indicating where the barriers of the illusions were. Jake then stepped inside of the illusion himself. Once he was inside, he snapped his fingers again, creating another dome of invisibility. This time around Livvy, Dragonfly, Lily and Lin. Jake spoke, loudly so that everyone left can hear him, "Alright. If we're going to go, we might as well step in invisible. Everyone that wants to come; step inside now...! Everyone else, sit tight--- This should help you guys stay safe." Jake snapped his fingers again. Creating a duplicate of himself inside of the other illusion. This Duplicate looked exactly like himself, and he could see from it and craft illusions from there. As long as I concentrate.. This will all be fine... Jake immediately felt the strain of creating, and up keeping several large illusions at a time. He was going to bear through it, there's people at risk here, and it wouldn't be in his nature for him to let them get hurt.
After taking a very deep inhale, Lily stepped into the illusion dome, and was invisible to everyone outside, but visible to everyone inside. She was scared and nervous as hell--- And it showed: she had a face of complete despair. But, she would have to gather the strength to get through this. Lily turned to Jake and says hesitantly, "C'mon.... Lead the way." To our deaths.....
Immediately, Jake started running, with Lily and everyone else coming, completely invisible. They were hopefully going to not be killed.

"Thank god! You're alright..." Drake listens to the whole conversation after Toby, Bones and Nicole stepped out of the room--- And he was relieved to find out that they were okay. He was still on guard at all times. His head darting around constantly to see where the Traitor could be. There was nobody, because the Traitor was long gone. Possibly won't appear for awhile. His skin pulsed with the Pseudo Meta-human Energy that Lily utilized--- That Lily was kind enough to let him barrow. Ready to fight for all he stands for. Despite knowing what the Traitor could be capable of, he was furious, ready to brawl. Drake balled his fists up, and brought one fist up to his face. He shouted at the group, "Alright! Point me in that b*stard's direction! I'm going to show the freak not to toy with us like this is some f*cking game!" He shouted, the energy, throughout his body, started glowing much brighter. Almost like it was insync with his emotions.
A few moments later, Jake, Lily and the rest of the cast, came on to the scene. Lily didn't sense any other Meta-humans along the way, and helped the group keep track of Sandy. The second they were close to the Animal Meta-humans, Jake destroyed the illusion. Making themselves visible to the group (Though, Nicole may have been able to long detect them with her super hearing/smell). Lily focused, and sensed no other Meta-humans in the area other than them. She was panting a bit, but spoke, "Oh... God... Is everyone okay? There's no on-" Before she could tell them that the Traitor wasn't nearby, she was kindly interrupted by Drake.
"Lil! Can you tell me where he is?! I'm going to end this." Drake shouts at Lily, before she even got a chance to finish. The first thing he wanted to do was beat this traitor down to a pulp.
"... If you let me finish... There's no one else nearby, other than us..." Lily says to Drake, quickly regaining her composure. Her state of mind was still scared, stressed and confused. But, she was going to endure. She was going to cry later. Lily spoke, "Alright, we really need to uhhh.... Can someone quickly tell me what happened...?" Lily had no idea what is going on, being a bit late to the party, she (and the rest of their group) missed the explanation. However, she was going to speak. This was escalating quickly, and is going to get out of control fast. It was time for her to impose order in the face of chaos, "Alright, as the group's leader... We are going to... Uhhh." Lily nervously says, trailing off without even saying her subject. She could barely get her head together to put together a proper sentence. So, she barely thought out anything that she said. Lily just said the first thing that came to mind--- Thus, she just called herself the group's leader.
Jake crossed his arms, and focused on his Duplicate back in the cafeteria. They were going to need his attention there the most. He's already offended two Animal metas so far. Jake was going to let Drake and Lily take this one.

Immediately, Charles nonchalantly coughed, covering his mouth with his fist. He tried to straight up the best he could, the injuries he sustained during his fight made that a bit difficult. Blood stained his clothes. He tried his best to look Emily eye to eye. Strangely, his X-Ray vision couldn't penetrate Emily at all. It was like there was some shield protecting her privacy. Which meant that she could be carrying anything--- Then again, in his short experience here, he learned that people carrying weapons is the least dangerous thing they could do.
Veriska wrote:
"The name's Emily, and that was a pretty cool thing you did there with the wallet".
"Um, thanks! You look good, too." Charles says, with a smile quickly growing on his face. Completely ignoring Emily's introduction, going straight to the other statement. His ego was inflated a bit just by Emily just saying his power was cool. However, the pain quickly snapped him back to reality. He groaned quickly as his face went flat. Since Emily was nice enough to share her own name, he was going to be a gentleman and do the same. He spoke in a low tone, "I am Charles Blackmore, and it's nice to meet you." Since his X-Ray vision was the least bit useful here, he quickly put his power back inside of it. That same green, electric-like light, surged from his head and went back into the wallet. Now that the power was back where it belonged, there was Miss Emily. "So, I should... Get to a hospital." He spoke nonchalantly, like these wounds were nothing. "I suppose since we're trapped here together, we can work together. What do you say?" Charles extended his hand out to Emily, not even trying to copy her power.
Naivety made him overlook any and all possibilities of how Emily could cause him immense harm by a simple handshake.

Willow, Nicole, Sandy, Toby, & Pedro
Bones sighed angrily, frustrated that she could only make out smudges, it was too dark in the hall right now, but her vision was improving a little, "Okay, I don't like repeating my self, but basically, the traitor came in. He threw four grenades at us, all of them non-lethal, and the result was me suffering temporary blindness, and Nicky can't hear very good at the moment. The traitor doesn't have a smell or make noise, his powers cancelled 'em out, so we can't track 'em. If you wanna go after 'em, you're going after a phantom, 'cause it ain't that easy sneaking up on Nicky, and we didn't know he was coming 'til he pulled the pins on those grenades." She then jerked her head towards the hall, "He came from that direction, but I don't think you'll find 'em that easy." She folded her arms. Nicole looked down the hallway where Bones had gestured to, "You guys aren't seriously going to go after that guy, are you? People, I don't care how good your powers are, a five-second total loss of vision, plus hearing loss and vertigo, that's enough to leave you vulnerable."

"Wait! I-I need those if a ooz thingy attacks!" Lexy began to reach out for the knives then brought her hand back. Carrying them might get her in trouble. Again. Lexy looked at the ground again, upset but remaining quiet.
The fact that he was claiming Hunter was a killer didn't help. Hunter seemed nice, though! He couldn't be a traitor. He had helped her and Victoria fight the one monster and his personality seemed nice, though he did seem sad about something when she talked to them. Lexy spun around on her heel and began walking out, pausing at the door way to say something. "Thanks for the advice," she smiled, though she wasn't going to follow this advice, "but if you treat everyone new the way you just did me, soon you might lose friends. You'll never know, it might end up your only friends that will help being... didn't you say you had two siblings? Anywhooooo, there are probably, like, tooooons of mutants stronger then you three, combined. So be careful, as well, alrighty?" Lexy skipped out of the room before hearing the reply. Wow, she sounded so smart then! That was so cool! Now where to go... Lexy shrugged to herself, walking down the hallways humming a random tune.
--- Crystal ---
Crystal began following the group as soon as they began leaving. Let's hope no one's hurt. Crystal arrived with Lily and Jake. So the mystery traitor got away, hmm? "Need me to help heal the blindness and hearing problems? Or since it's temporary do you want to wait?" she questioned, pushing her glasses back in front of her eyes as they were about to fall off her nose from running.

((Ignore my previous post, I don't think anybody saw it))
Boots clicked along the floor of the detention center's lowest floor, where a rather strange ooze-looking thing was blocking Luciana's path. The sound of worn, sturdy shoes hitting the tile stopped abruptly, and Luce curtly told the strange object to get the f*ck out of her way. It seemed to turn towards her, but it was hard to tell-and, quite frankly, it was freaky to look at. Even for her. Eghhh.
She attempted with Spanish. The ooze-thing started squelching closer to her, and she let out a sigh of resignation. "Dios te salve, Maria." Luce drew both pistols, firing twice, all within the span of a second, and two massive ripples shook through the Oozium-and, coincidentally, she chose the exact moment to fire that the "mother" oozium was slain, causing its drone to dissipate before her. Guns smoking, she paused for a moment, but Luce was fairly certain the thing was dead. She popped fresh rounds into her guns, picked up her shells, and kept walking. It was abnormal, to encounter an alien being in a strange facility that you mysteriously woke up in, but it wasn't in Luciana Rojas' nature to question the order of things. She didn't ask why when her little brother got totally blind, a half-way foreshadowing of what was to come for her, and she didn't ask why when their ranch tanked, she didn't ask why when she had to shoot and kill an Oozium who was dumb enough to get in her way. She asked nicely. Twice.
Luce had taken a little while to get her bearings-the school was a big place, and she still wasn't sure of where she was going, where she had been. Through a stroke of luck, she'd stumbled across the detention center, and recognized it for what it was-suffice to say she'd stepped foot in a detention center or two of her own. Luce managed to break into the lockers containing the confiscated goods (this took a bit of improvisation, but she managed it in the end), and reunited herself with her gear. Ah. Good. Luce paused for a moment, considering bringing along the baggies of rather illegal substances-they were to be delivered to someone else the next morning, but she'd no idea where she was, how to get home-hell, it might've been a week ago that she was walking out of the Tick-Tock House, the last thing she remembered clearly, but...eh. Someone would pay money for them. She tucked them into the inside of her coat, reminding herself to dispose of them if any officers of the law happened to be snooping about. Of course, she had bigger problems-Luce was pretty sure she wasn't in Columbia, and that meant she'd be somewhere without a green card. And, given what she thought was English scribbled across the various signs and posters in this place....Luce had a sinking feeling she was in the US of A.
The detention center was left behind her, and Luce surveyed her surroundings. Best she could tell, a huge glass barrier was surrounding this place-she'd already tried walking straight out once before. There had to be some other way out, a tunnel, an administrative building, something. Luce used the time-tested method of randomly picking a direction and walking that way, attempting to stick to the shadows, stay out of sight.
Of course, once a huge bolt of lightning tore the world open, she decided staying indoors might be a safer alternative. Luciana slipped inside, finding the place...unsettling. She was used to open spaces, not dark, cramped buildings. Littered with gunshots and bloodstains and-...well, if any of the finger-painting displays, marred with a dark red liquid she didn't think was paint...A school, but....there...there was some massive conflict here. Luce didn't get really scared, not any more: she had a somewhat unhealthy immunity to terror, but there was still the nerves-on-edge tingling that coursed down her spine, made her trigger fingers start to burn. Luce kept her hands close to her gunbelt, treading lightly (figuratively and literally) down the ruined hallway. Luce was quite wise to do so: not a minute after she'd started walking quietly, the unmistakable sound of explosions echoed down the hall to her, and she dropped to a crouch, whipping out her pistols.
Silence. But....it sounded like three or four grenades, all going off at once. No, she'd heard those before. Flashbangs. At this distance, she wasn't rattled by the light or sound, merely aware of its presence. Luce started walking slowly towards it, and quite thought she saw a dark figure run down another hallway, a few dozen feet ahead of her, but it wasn't worth wasting a bullet to find out. Luce took a brief second to try and figure out a plan: if there was a fight involving flashbangs, there was some serious firepower being thrown around. Maybe somebody had raided the detention center before her? It was an unsettling idea, but Luce was confident in her abilities. If they came at her with gunpowder, she'd bend their bullets around her, and if they came at her with knives, she'd shoot their *sses. This simple strategy had gotten her through life pretty well thus far. Perhaps more ooze-walkers? Luce cocked her peacemakers, moving forward slowly.
...yeah, this was a colossal f*ck up. Shells of the expired flashbangs, now visible in the restored lights (Luce blinked for a moment, eye stinging from the sudden illumination) were on the floor, and it looked like a few people had barricaded themselves in a little room. How cute. Luce knelt behind a corner, peeking out every few seconds to see what was going on. Hm. More kids were coming. They were bound to find her, then, sooner or later-and she'd rather it be sooner. She did a quick head count. Less than twelve.
Normally, Luce wouldn't have taken chances-she'd have filled the air with smoke and steel and picked through the remains-but the typically dormant, often forgotten sense of altruism in her piped up. These people...they were kids. Dios mio. Luce hesitated-they looked like a pretty rough bunch, and they didn't seem quite human-Luce wasn't rattled by this too much, either. She had a pretty good idea that she wasn't strictly human, per se-but still...
Luce stood up, sighing. Maybe one of them would have some answers. And one of them looked Hispanic, so she wouldn't have to talk too much in English, hopefully, which gave her headaches after a while. Luce stepped around the corner, hands close to the old leather belt. They might've been teenagers, but she wasn't taking any chances. She'd seen kids do some pretty nasty stuff before, and that was counting kids other than her. Luce made no attempt to conceal the sound of her boots echoing down the hall towards them, or even move for cover-there was the spot the Traitor had ducked behind, which she made note of, but her best bet was to go peacefully. For now. Luce found staying peaceful was a lot harder than going peaceful.
She eyed (no pun intended) the group, various metahumans and-she....she could hear voices clearly coming from one spot, but couldn't quite see them. Ah. The kids were clever, at least. Clearing her throat (I'm not one for dramatic entrances, but I need to get the h*ll out of this place), Luce pushed some of her hair back behind her ear, watching the group carefully. "I heard flashbangs, what the hell's going on?" she scanned the group for a minute, feeling another unusual twinge of sympathy. "Anybody hurt? I've got, uh, one hell of a painkiller. I take it you all speak English?"
Luce tried to be jovial, but it wasn't working too well for her. She couldn't shake this anxiety, this paranoia-what was wrong with her? They were kids. Probably wouldn't try anything stupid. Probably. Regardless, this was bound to be awkward, and she figured they might pin the flashbang-throwing onto her. If so, she'd just politely explain the situation and go on her merry way. Things always worked out that simply.

Dragonfly
"Ssomething you sshouldn't need to hear." Dragonfly said, kneeling down to the little girl and scooping her up in his arms. He cast a half angry, half sad look to the group around him, and sighed. "What do you ssay we get out of here, Livvy? Drake will come and get me in the dormss when all of this hass blown over, wont he?" Dragonfly said, cassting a look over to Drake with a look that said 'come get us when it's safe'. Dragonfly is a big person, or was a big person. He was tall and had a wide chest with a powerful muscular. He was probably 70% muscle naturally, and was incredibly strong, so Livvy did not hinder him very much. However, he was astonished by the light show the girl was creating. It wasnt like anything he had seen before.
Once they were outside, Dragonfly used his enhanced vision to maneuver them around anything. "I'm ssorry you had to hear any of that, Livvy." Dragonfly said truthfully. He was more worried that Livvy would start crying soon, she was only eight and here she was, put into the center of hell, completely oblivious to what was happening and innocent to what could come. He didn't want to be the one to shatter that innocence and force her to grow up so fast. Dragonfly stopped, and set her down. He knelt down next to her, folding his body so he could look her eye to eye. "There are bad people here... We are doing the besst we can to sstop them." He saw the tears in her eyes, threatening to fall, and it made his heart heavy and would bring him to the same point if he didn't control himself. He would have to. If he broke down, as a big kid, what would that tell Livvy? "There are another two kinds of monsster... The oness who want to be, and thosse who dont. There is ssomeone who wants to hurt uss... But we have numberss, and powerss. We will pull through thiss, and I had ssomeone tell me of two that will be willing to help uss." Dragonfly said, putting his hand on Livvy's shoulder and giving it a comforting squeeze. "Now letss go find them. I know where they are." Dragonfly said, his back lips curling up slightly to give a small smile to the girl. Hopefully she would feel a little bit better now. It was all he knew to say.
He stood up, and took the little girl's hand, leading her to the dorms. He was on high alert, ready to throw himself in front of the girl to save her life if necessary. Grenade? He'd throw himself on top of it. Bullets? Ha. Like his life was worth more than hers. The dorms were not his strong point, but he had been told by Henry a few instructions on where to go. It had happened just before he left the sewers.
"Left, right, up the stairs, third room. The door will be open. People will help you." Henry's voice said, echoing through the sub-basement ominously. Dragonfly, who was greatly confused by this, narrowed one eye in confusion and tilted his head. "Wha-What do you mean?" He asked. Of course, there would be no answer. But Henry only gave him instructions if it was really important. Dragonfly would remember them.
He followed the instructions, carefully leading the girl to make sure she would be in no danger. The dorms were still dark, but there was a light in one room. Perhaps this person had the ability to create electricity like Drake or Claire? He didn't care, it was light although dim, but light never the less. He walked slightly fast, but made sure Livvy could keep pace with him. When he came to the door entrance, he was caught by a couple of teenagers about sixteen to seventeen. Then looked like they had not seen each other in a long time. The male of the two caught sight of Dragonfly, and let go of the girl, who had brown hair with dyed blue steaks in it. He lifted his hands as into a fighting position, but his hands did not create fists. The males face had contorted from happy to serious. "Who are you...?" the male questioned, remaining in front of the girl as a line of defense.

Nick
Nick leaned in and kissed Faith on the forehead. "Always curious." He said humorously. "Well, I'm really glad you found me. I'm fine, I've learned some things I will be sharing with you. You would be surprised what Caden knows." Nick said, giving a smile. "What about you, are those blue hair streaks new? I haven't seen them before." He said, then Faith referenced her power. "You should employ those eyes. They might have some nice weaponry on them. Take control of a few and use them as your servants or protectors when I'm not around. You wont have to be scared." He said, thinking out loud. It wasn't a half bad idea actually. However, he saw something move into the light he had created using his magnetism (he can create strong to weak forms of electricity in the form of magnetic fields, although this cannot be used to directly affect someone like Drake of Claire could). At the doorway stoof a very large Lizard man. He was over six feet tall and looked light he weighed over two hundred pounds easily. He had jaws, claws, and a pretty snake like skin texture with a black and white coloration.
Nick went into defense mode immediately. His first priority being Faith. He separated himself from Faith and stood in front of her to form a barrier using his body, and pulled his hand into a fighting position without making fists. This was his standard post he made when he was going to use his powers. His fighting style was strangely like that of a fighters, and it worked very well. Now that Faith was secure, he would ask questions first and aim to kill later. "Who are you...?" he questioned, his tone serious as could be. This thing was armed to the teeth with weaponry, and it could have more hidden under the surface. However, what caught his attention was the fact that there was a little girl holding the massive lizard's hand. That was the biggest wildcard he had seen all day. He lowered his hands slightly, his mouth contorting to an 'O' shape. The great lizard raised his hands in a sign of surrender, and looked Nick in the eye. "My name iss Dragonfly." The creature said, obviously masculin. It-He, looked down to the little girl. "Thiss iss Livvy." the creature explained. "Ssomeone... told me you could help uss. Thiss iss a time of need, I need ssomeone who can help uss and make ssure sshe sstayss ssafe when I am not watching. There are thingss happening around here. Horrible thingss that sshe sshouldn't have to ssee." the great creature, Dragonfly explained. Nick looked over his shoulder at Faith, and then back to the little girl. "Livvy? Do you know this... Dragonfly? And Faith, what do you think?" Nick was obviously not entirely sure what to make of this conversation. This hour he spent at the school had been the strangest he had seen in a long time.
Nobody
Nobody watched on from afar, silently predicting the outcomes to Claire's new view on things, and trying to decide if it was wise or not. Dragonfly, on the other hand, was trying to explain the situation to Nick without derailing Livvy even farther. Personally, he thought The Operator could've written his point of view better, but he was not one to judge entirely. For now, he would watch, and wait. He would come when the time called. He felt Drake would need it sometime in the future, although, he could never be entirely sure.

Ryan, and Taylor
Ryan slowly backed away towards the door, his hands still in the air. He was in the clear, so long as those knives didn't drop. Reaching the door, Ryan took another step back, and lowered his hands cautiously. Considering that he would probably be able to dodge any projectiles, now was the perfect time for a witty statement to make it look like Ryan had won.
"Fine," Ryan mused as the power came back "but just so you know, I'm not leaving because of you, but because of the music. Who listens to Justin Timberlake anyways? He's so-SH!T!" Ryan dove out of the way as one of the knives Taylor had floating above the floor flew at his face. The knife embedded itself in the wall where Ryan's face had been a second before, and the water around it dropped to the floor. Seeing as he was most definitely no longer welcome, Ryan began to walk down the dorm halls, looking for someone to talk to. Seeing that the bigmouthed telepath was finally gone, Taylor relaxed and allowed the knives to slowly float down from the ceiling and to a table in the lounge, where they finally rested.
"So," she said, reclining in an armchair sideways with her head resting on one of the arms "What do we do now?"

Faith smiled, nodding, "I can't wait to hear the news. And yes, they are new, I'm surprised you notice-" her sentence was cut short by Nick going into defensive mode and standing between her and the door. Faith glanced over his shoulder nervously. Some lizard thing and a little girl... strange combination. Faith was surprised when the lizard spoke.
Of course it's gonna speak- it's a meta human in a meta human school, idiot! Humans speak, you know? Faith scolded herself, as usual. She looked at Dragonfly and Livvy. Apparently the lizard meta wanted someone to protect the little girl, and Faith didn't blame him. Judging from what's happening in the school just from what she heard while in her dorm room she would have done the same thing. Nick was asking her for her thoughts on the situation?
"I... um... would have done the same thing if I were Dragonfly. I-I think we should try to help them. I-it's the right thing to do, right?"
