I'm just coming up with a Mogwai that Shaun will see frequently along with his master, maybe some competition. That rivalry and getting to know your enemies part.

Well, here's one of Shaun's main pursuers, and the enemy he will be fighting, in my edited post. Meet Thordrill, the electric Mandrill/Thorny Devil.

It's not going to be that easy, Maxx. Thorny Devils aren't just spiny lizards, and the useful aspects of their anatomy are possessed by Thordrill. He's going to use that ability to fight, and considering that it's in a snowy area, any fire-related attack is going to be far weaker than you think. Melt water is used to the greatest advantage.

That, and Shaun will fight Thordrill more than once. He'll eventually get to know the Master, too.

I never said it was going to be easy, but Shaun is overconfident in his abilities.

Well, that's the fun part about battles!

And here comes Lod! To keep it from getting overpowered, one in every three things Lod creates will be relatively useless (like the gallon of milk).

I see. Well, Thordrill was beaten, and he got stung in the stomach, but it's not a complete victory. Pajak's probably going to be out for awhile, because he got too close, and was punched with who-knows-how-many volts of electricity. I don't really think it's god-modding, because all that will happen is they'll go back to their Matrixes and have to rest for awhile.

I thought you would have had Thordrill move out of the way of the tree and force Diabel to crush Pajak, but you know, at least I won!

Well, it was a win, but Pajak would have been defeated by the punch, so it's not 100% victory. As for Shaw and Thordrill, it's not a 100% loss, either, because they learned about their opponent. Anyway, it's hard to dodge when you've been stung in the stomach.

...Still, it was a great fight scene! And that reminds me, I need to make Mogwai for the NPC MLAF guys who are going to be chasing down other characters.
