Ene looked down, suddenly pretending her brown ugg boots were interesting. "I'm sorry..." She mumbled to Jake. She hadnt thought of the possible outcomes enough. She felt her face heat up. She should have waited. She was too careless and anxious and so now she was regretting the situation. She noted Jake had slid away from her, and felt her face heat up more. And then Jaska spoke up.

Quote :
"Oh...? Cool! You can like erase stuff that you don't want to know about? Can you do it to other people?!" In truth, Jaska was mostly asking because he had memories that... He didn't want, basically incidents regarding his power.

Jaska's question and enthusiasm was... Unexpected. Ene was about to not but instead shook her head. "No. I mean yes, but... I won't. I don't ever use my power on other people-" she left out the part where when she was younger she accidentally got her teacher to forget a few things. And her cousin think they were sisters. But the current situation was bad enough. "-because what happens to you shapes you. So memories in a way are what shape your current personality- like reminders. I don't change memories or erase them or anything. It's just wrong- otherwise I would have changed my memories a few months ag-" her eyes widened in realization. What was she doing? Bringing up her mom was a bad idea in the current situation. Ene sighed, placing her elbows on her knees and and her head in her hands. "I'm sorry, guys. I shouldn't have brought it up. I was too... I'm sorry." Regret. Regret everywhere. "How about I go?" Ene slowly sat up, tugging at a loose string on her sweatshirt. "If you want to talk to me, I guess we'll run into each other, sometime, right? Or if you two have cell phones, maybe?" Ene stood up, waiting for a reply as she was thinking regret. She will just talk to someone else after this failure of a conversation ended. From now on her power was off-limits when it came to discussions, as well.

Len, Jaylin and Kynan
-

Len watched as the first girl who seemed around his age walk off. Then he watched Amimoore, who he noted was a bit older, walk off, Jaylina nod Kynan giving her a friendly goodbye. Len sighed, running his fingers through his short hair as he had been doing a lot since first arriving here. It figured- meta human chicks walked away from him more often than normal ones, even. He looked down at Jaylin and Kynan, one eyebrow raised

The two were off in their own conversation.

The conversation got kind of awkward when Len arrived, huh, Jaylin?

Yeah. I find it funny. We need to find him someone to hang out with, then. How about we get back to that Poker game?

Nah. Look- there are even more people there.

Okay. What do you suggest we do, then?

I dunno. Maybe we should go to a random person that looks safe and talk?

Both of the boys looked up at Len with impish grins. He sighed in annoyance. Why him?

Spoiler:

Eli

"Oh..." The voices stopped, but Eli's eyes were still glowing slightly. He was extremely taken aback by Leila's sudden euphoria. So the voices were from her. She had been possessed, and somehow he had just saved her. Perhaps his faith was stronger than he had believed. He had absolutely no idea of what to do now, though. He had never been in a position quite like this one before. Sure he had taken a ghost or two out, but never had he saved someone from the pain of having seven demons in her head. All he could think to do is hug her, and he slowly wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

"Oh my God it actually worked." he said "I...I can't believe that actually worked." He smiled and actually laughed happily. He had no idea that he was that strong. Perhaps the Lord had been shining down on him. He began to swell with pride, and soon he could barely help but brag a little.

"Be still." he said, quoting Jesus when he exorcized a demon "My name is Eli Vaughn, and I am a prophet of the Lord. You are safe now. Your demons can no longer harm you." His eyes glowed white and a halo of light appeared around his head. Soon a similar, much dimmer halo appeared over Leila's head as the Angelic Aura transferred to her. He slipped his left hand into his pocket and took out his rosary. It was a beautiful rosary, with red-and-white wooden beads, all hand-carved, with a beautiful black crucifix at the end that depicted Jesus hanging from the cross. "Take this." he said "It will protect you." Eli was reluctant to do this, as his rosary was his favorite thing. It had been his mother's and before that his grandmother's, but he hoped that it would protect Leila from the demons if they decided to return. He would probably regret it later, but Eli had two other rosaries in his suitcase and a bible. He didn't need another, but Leila did.

Jasmine

Jasmine stopped dead about halfway down the hall and a chill shot up her spine. Leila was healed. Perhaps her leaving them alone was the best course of action, but still something wasn't quite right. Why had she wanted to leave all of a sudden? Why did she forget to touch Leila's arm? Why had she become so distracted? Something was wrong and she would have to get to the bottom of it. She tried to focus her ESP on the reason for it, but it didn't work. There was nothing. She growled angrily and leaned up against the wall near the stairwell. She took a long drink of her coffee and realized that it was empty. She groaned and turned to walk down the stairs, intending on going to the cafe to get more. Jasmine could last around eight hours without her coffee, but she didn't exactly enjoy it. She lost her focus quickly and got irritable.

Neal

Neal practically growled when Rush mentioned it being a "touchy subject". Then Rush seemed to pull a security camera off of the wall, which actually didn't phaze Neal too much. In a school for super powers, something like that is commonplace. He mulled it over in his mind; Neal had always wanted to know more about the weird-ass headmaster, and it was extremely tempting to learn more. Working with Jasmine would be Hell, though. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to deal with it.

"Um, I'll think about it." Neal said "I'm not a hundred percent sure."

"Affirmative. Give it thought. Take time." Rush says as he walked off next to Ray. He didn't want to push Neal into this. If he doesn't want to join, then that's fine. He has his reasons. Just like Rush and Ray have their reasons for exposing the headmaster.

The only problem that Ray saw was Neal potentially telling anyone. He still had the lingering feeling that "And do us a favor, will ya? Don't tell anyone about this."

The pair then made their way out of the frigid cold and back into the dorms. They walked side by side like partners would. With Ray keeping his eye open, he was expecting trouble now that he's taken up the mantle for this operation. After a bit of wandering, they finally found Jasmine purely by contrived chance. Rush was the first person to speak with her, "Oh. Miss Cheng. We have been looking for you." Rush nods his head. He was the one leading the whole operation (While Ray was pretty much just there to look tough). It only made sense for him to try and recruit Jasmine. "Your assistance required. Headmaster. Much more sinister than I previous thought. We... Ask. For your help. In exposing him for the man. He really is."

"... And I'm going to guess that you'll want something in return if you help us." Ray steps into the conversation, his tone cold and tempered as always. Ray had crossed his arms and gave Jasmine a narrow glare.

"Oh..." Jaska says, rather disappointed. His ears and shoulder lowered. He didn't really listen to everything else Ene said after. Something about shaping personalities and whatnot. He didn't really care about that, since it wasn't what he wanted.

For a moment, Jake felt a little bad about his previous reaction. Maybe he did overreact a bit, it was all in the wave paranoia. Just like everyone else here, Ene didn't choose her power - Or did she? But regardless, he was trying not to get touched by her at all. "No, no, it's cool." Jake said to Ene, trying to reassure her. He didn't want to drive her away this early. "Sorry if I drove you off... It's..." Just that I don't want my memories toyed with. "... I overreacted a bit." Jake says to her, trying his best to use the right words to convince Ene to stay.

Ene slowly took a step back and sat in her previous seat as Jake spoke up, apologizing. She had a feeling he was just trying to be polite, but hey- at least he apologized. "No- it's fine. I'm sorry." She was quiet a few moments, the awkwardness in the conversation quite obvious. She wasn't sure what to say to keep the current circumstance from worsening.

Ene went back to looking at her boots, nervous on what to make her next sentence. She chose, finally, to pretend like nothing bad happened. She looked up at Jake and Jaska, smile pasted on her face. "Well, that aside..." what to talk about..... "So do you have any other siblings?" dumb question, but at least it wasn't one about powers and could maybe improve the current circumstance.

Celo wrote:

Leaning back in his chair a bit, Jake thought about it. He wasn't thinking about how many siblings he has; he was thinking about how to phrase it without the implication that his parent(s) "get around" (Which, technically, is true). Outside of Gabe and Jaska here, there was; Johnny, Veronica, Joshua, Ivete, and a few others. All Meta-humans, more than likely afflicted by the Black Fall effect. "Well, Ene... I come from a big family that's-" Wealthy in case you didn't get that from my outfit "-Quite diverse. I have a couple brothers and sisters - All Meta-humans. In fact, my twin sister, Gabriela is also attending the school with me." He blatantly pointed across the room at the poker table, at Gabe, in her one eyed glory. She hadn't noticed them yet, still occupied in her poker match. Jake stopped then turned his attention back to Ene, giving her a warm smile. Before tacking on, "I'm mostly just here to keep an eye on these two." Which was true since, if left to their own devices, both of them are bound to kill someone.

On the other hand, Jaska cheerfully stated his own answer to Ene's question,"Oh yes, yes, yes! There's Johnny, Ivete, Veronica and..." Then he totally got distracted once he saw someone take a selfie in front of a pool table not too far away. His head darted over to them, watching them curiously. Before turning his attention back to Ene, forgotten his train of thought. "... Ah, but you wouldn't like hearing about any of them anyway. They're old and boring!"

Abraham Gene

The game had suddenly become less enticing, Abraham noticed. While Drake was as excited as ever, the girl Lily looked withdrawn and was quietly talking to her friend; he hadn't a clue what they were saying, but he could probably make a pretty good guess. Gabe looked as unimpressed as ever. Egad, my heart. Abe thought to himself sarcastically. The only one that meant to meet his wager was one of the goth girls. Yeesh. His only relief would come with Drake's victory it seemed. Abe still held the thought in his head that the goth style was a tad overdone... and by a tad, he meant monumentally. Abe sized her up, without trying to appear as looking at a chunk of meat. She was definitely goth, there's no denying that. Her eyes, behind her hair and veil, looked large and crimson despite the obstructions. Contacts, or a trait of her power? Then came her clothes, which, while appeared Victorian in style and gothic by modern standards, were revealing and exceptionally fetching. Her clothing wasn't alluring, but perhaps if she were to drop them, his opinions of her would be considerably less conflicting. Surely it shouldn't be so hard to inveigle her into bed, yes?

"Don't mind me Vespera," Abraham half-mindedly assured as he took his cards, "just sizing you up." Hopefully the implications of such a statement would only come across to her as his judgement whilst playing cards. After all, he did seem somewhat absorbed in his thoughts.

God's ass be blessed if I should be a lucky man today.

So it wasn't a royal flush - the total game breaker. Though, he did almost have the next best thing. There were a total of four cards of the same suit in sequence: the 9, 10, Jack, and Queen of hearts. He did have a 7 of spades, which he could easily put down and trade for another. An 8 or King of hearts should easily do it. If only he could morph the cards and rearrange them that way, right? He ought to rely on a little bit of luck to get his way. A king would be preferable, even if to just keep someone else from having it. Someone must've not shuffled very well for him to get a bunch of hearts, eh? Or maybe they just shuffled very well. Rearranged it so that they got his hand and was just a card shy. That would be hilarious.

That aside, Abe's poker face was great. In fact, he even appeared a little disappointed to the others. That worked pretty well for him in the long run, have people overestimate their own hand and bet too much on it. That was the idea. Abe dropped his 7 of spades face-down on the table and waited for the others to follow en suit.

Jesse Sutor

"Asshole, huh?" Jesse pondered. Assuming the loud guy really is what Val mentioned as being the roughnecks around here, he couldn't help but wonder what his power was. Hopefully nothing that can be abused to the point of great acts of violence, but then again, why would an asshole be so confident if the power were anything else? Regardless, he appreciated Val's gesture of good faith and modestly accepted his compliment, nodding his head in respect The guy himself seemed more of a straight shooter than Jesse - Val got to the point, whereas he had his secrets. "You too." Jesse said, albeit maybe a tad too quiet for Val to hear in the ruckus, overestimating his voice's ability to carry. While discouraging, Val's parting words brought him back to a laugh.

"Oh, thanks for letting me know." Jesse replied in a teasing snicker. "But yeah, sure. I can do that. I probably won't be here too much longer so I'll probably be asleep by the time you get in."

Ene turned around to look at Jake's twin as he pointed towards her. She could see the resemblance in the two. As she studied his sister, she noted that she was missing an eye. 'Wonder what happened to it.... Ene didn't ask, of course, and turned back around to make sure she didn't look like she was staring. She could see the resemblance, sure, but when she studied both of them.... they seemed different, in a way aside from gender and the obvious. Maybe with personality? It wasn't good to study someone's personality based on looks, but she couldn't help but do such. Gabriela didn't seem as nice as Jake to her... maybe it was the eye-patch.

It's just me and my dad at home." she kept her smile pasted as a quick feeling of guilt passed through her, the only signs of such being her shoulders suddenly tensed up and her eyes looking back at her boots for a moment. She continued talking, "I've always wondered what it's like to have siblings. Must be hectic with so many people, huh?"

Celo wrote:

Meh. Jake shrugged. It was the least bit hectic, since generally everyone went their own way, and minded their own business... Most of the time. Either way, he was rather indifferent about how it felt to have siblings. On one hand, he did love them and they were quite helpful from time to time. On the other, children of the Valos can be quite antagonistic, greedy and... Jake quickly peered at Gabe for a moment. He was going to keep these sentiments to himself. "Not really hectic. Everyone's old enough to head out and do their own thing, so it's a non-issue." He shrugged and leaned back in the chair.

Celo wrote:

"Oh, ah...." Jaska thought about it for a moment. Since he was a little confused because of Ene's question. Either way, he answered it the best way he could. "They're all like twenty and stuff. I think... I'm the youngest...? Dunno."

Gabriela M. Valos, Drake D. Blackmore, & Carmen 'Lily' Santo.

Lieo wrote:

Drake gave Abraham a side glance, then laughed a bit. He truly must be trying hard. First eyepatch girl, then one of the goth chicks. This guy needs a lesson or two in how to handle... Seth too. The way Drake does it, he uses subtly. He wasn't going to ask any of these chicks out until they've spent a bit of time together. After they've gotten to know each other. And Drake had no intention of trying to score Vespera, Gabe, or Cassandra. Lily was the girl he wanted to get to know - That's when he realized that he was just sitting here with a dumb smile on his face looking around. Probably looking like a moron. Drake just put a random card face down. Drake quickly said something to break the silence, "So, I have a question for ya'll; I know there's a place for training powers; but, can we train any time we please or only during classes and sheet?" It was more of a random question.

However, at this point, Lily was just going to leave. She had no further interest in this, and she wanted to leave more than anything. Merry wasn't saying anything, so... She was going to just leave herself. Lily pushed back in her chair a bit, then stood straight up. "Alright guys, I think I'm done here. I'll be heading back up to my room and..." Without waiting for any replies, Lily left. Rather fast. She was hoping that she'd could leave before they could pin her strengthening presence to her. By the time she was gone, they would revert back to normal.

Damn. Wanted to get to know ya' Lil'. Drake thought to himself as he watched Lily march off. Eh, there'll be another time. Drake shrugged and said "Later Lil."

Gabe had a similar sentiment to Lily. She wanted to leave, but meh. She wanted to see where this goes. She had a feeling that Cassandra or Vespera had something that'd ruin Abraham's day. Which would give her great enjoyment like no other. Personally, she would have shot him in the d*ck with a laser by now. But... If there wasn't the fear of being thrown out of the Valos Manor, she would have done something to scare him off. Gabe shrugged and put an Ace of Hearts face down. But Gabe couldn't resist directing a subtle comment towards, Abraham, "I would keep it on a lid if I were you... Might get ya self in sumthing ya' won't like. Hahahaha..." In a teasing tone.

Ene nodded in reply to both of the boys' answers. This conversation, while improving, was taking a lot of effort to keep going with all this small talk. She sighed, playing with the loose string on her sweatshirt again before looking up at Jake and Jaska yet again. "So how about this- what are your roommates here like? Think you'll enjoy them? I haven't really met mine yet." Ene was quiet a moment before adding in, "Sorry about asking so many questions. I guess I'm just curious or something. Sorry."

"It's fine," Jake started off, before going back to answer Ene's question. His room-mate, Neal, was without a doubt a fine person. A little odd, but Jake is fine with that as long as he isn't annoying. He did see them getting along fine. "Ah? Yeah, my roomie's a guy called Neal. We, uh, met earlier in the day. Nice guy, but we haven't talked much..." Jake looked around the lounge, hoping to find Neal somewhere. He would like to speak with Neal some more. But he decided to head back to the topic at hand. Ene. He had guessed that she was just trying to make small talk to ease the initial awkwardness that happened when she revealed her power. While Jake wasn't bored, small talk gets old fast. Maybe they could play one of the games over here... Wait, yes! That's genius. The perfect way to entice this conversation a bit. Jake scanned the area around him... Poker's out of the question since he was caught cheating. There was pool, and the video games. "So do you want to uh-" Jake was interrupted by Jaska.

"I have to get a room mate?! Whaaaat?!" Jaska says, his voice angered and annoyed. All about the aspect of sharing a room with someone. Which was something Jaska really didn't like. That meant he had to find other places to eat what he caught, and would have to keep his wings folded or else he'd smack his room mate in the face. Once again Jaska wasn't paying attention to the conversation, only inserting himself in after the mention of a room mate.

Jake rolled his eyes up into his head, "Yeah, Jaska, you do."

"That's stupid!" Jaska roars, "I don't want to share my room with some stranger and...." Jaska went on and on with his complaints. Eventually becoming a mass of annoyed jibberish.

Jake rolled his eyes up into his head again. He did understand why Jaska didn't want a room mate - Which is something that Jake didn't want himself (For other reasons). But, Jaska was a bit young and too sheltered to understand some things. Jake interrupted Jaska, raising his voice, "Look! Jask, I didn't set the rules, you have to just live with it. It won't be that bad, I promise..."

Crossing his arms, Jaska pouts and says, "Fine."

Not that their little conversation is over, Jake turned back to Ene and said, "...  That means he hasn't met his room mate." He coughed. Quickly looking for his previous train of thought before Jaska's outburst. Ah. Something other than idle small talk, "Do you want to play one of the games here, like pool or...?"

Amimoore Black Dellamorte.

While hobbling around, Amimoore had spotted someone in particular (Jesse) walking away after a conversation with Val. From the looks of things he seemed nice, and she was looking for some other new comer to talk to. That last conversation was less than satisfactory, and that was probably because more and more people kept intruding in her first one. This one might not good as well either. Amimoore figured that she could just talk to him first. If he isn't nice or anything, then she'll just leave. Ami walked over to Jesse, and playfully waved at him with a warm smile on her face. Ami then spoke to Jesse, a way to start the conversation, "Hi, I'm Amimoore, I haven't seen you around, are you new?"

Ene wasn't sure what to say upon Jaska's reaction to finding out they had to get roommates. Truthfully she could see where he was coming from with his complaints- a roommate means you can't just do whatever or easily earn some alone time. She was nervous about getting a roommate, as well- what if the person was some crazy chick or something that likes to kill roommates in their sleep? okay, maybe she was overreacting but it was still possible... right?

Ene was quiet as Jake tried to get Jaska to calm down. When Jaska finally stopped ranting about roommates- or at least the acquiring of- Jake went back to the conversation from before the outburst.

Quote :
...  That means he hasn't met his room mate." He coughed. Quickly looking for his previous train of thought before Jaska's outburst. Ah. Something other than idle small talk, "Do you want to play one of the games here, like pool or...?"

Ene smiled a bit at Jake's side-comment before thinking of his question. She glanced around the room. There was the group playing poker, but she didn't really know how to play. That left either pool or video games.

The video games were really tempting- Ene had to admit she enjoyed them and was pretty good at playing them, as well. But then she worried that Jake might think of her as a geek or something so....

"Pool sounds good," Ene smiled as she stood up. "Just a warning, though..." She began, joking a bit, "I'm pretty good at it."

Jesse Sutor

His conversation with Val had then ended without much further note. It really had been a long day and now would be a good time as any to get adjusted to his new bed. If when he first stepped foot in there was any indicator, and if he recalled correctly, it looked like it would've been rather firm with a decent amount of give. As though it were a spring mattress though the material itself was cushioned, and draped over it was a comforter. Even if it turned out to be not as comfortable as he would've hoped, surely he'd be grateful for it nonetheless if every day were to be as tiring as today. And he almost has a clear escape to it too, were it not for an intrusion.

Another student had introduced themselves to him: Amimoore. A peculiar name which belonged to a girl, he learned, as he turned his gaze to face her. A quick look up and down showed her to be somewhat of a tomboy, she was clean, and perhaps just a little thick or heavy, though not enough to make a terrible difference. He just caught a glimpse of ankles, her right one looking a little odd in comparison to the other. In all, she reminded him of an old friend of his. One that he spent many years calling "best friend" before having a major falling out the year prior and has never spoken to her since. It was silly, honestly, but after spending a year not talking to each other it is a little late for apologies or to simply start talking to her again. Regardless, Ami isn't her. That much is obvious and there's no reason to attach a stigma because of some subtle resemblance (despite how awkward or uncomfortable it would be to be reminded of a long lost friend when looking at someone else). Still, Jesse was obligated to at least introduce himself and be nice.

"Oh, uh, hi Amimoore. I'm Jesse. And yeah, this is the first time I've been here." That much was obvious. The nervous tone in his voice gave it away, along with the hands stiffly shoved in his pockets. "I'm still new to the whole super power scene. It feels strange being here."

Her question was odd to be honest. Well yeah he was new here, but the way she asked it was just strange. What was she, the new person patrol? Scan for unknown lifeforms and prepare for assimilation? He shouldn't be hard on her of course, it was a common statement that sort of just thrusted itself into our culture. As stupid as it may be.

Abe's ears perked at Drake's question. Now that he thought about it, he wasn't quite sure. He heard about the training room and sessions, but he hadn't asked about its availability throughout the day. He hadn't even bothered up to this point, so really, he hadn't much of a clue in regard to anything about this school. He just looked at Drake and gave a rueful sigh. "I'm afraid not, buddy. This is my first year here in good ol' two-one-eight."

Following that, Lily stood herself up and appeared as though she was leaving. A shame really, it would've been nice to get to know everyone here. Though surely they'd run into one another again, it's a small world after all. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit as she walked off without finishing her sentence and ignoring Drake's question completely. So were they exes or something? Oooh, man, why would Drake dump her? She is fiiiine! That being said, there was no way they were exes. No way. Abe didn't believe that Drake could be that dumb. Abe simply bid her off with a smile and two finger salute before returning to the game. A simple friendly gesture to break the ice, right? Anyways, even Gabe seems to have ignored Drake, poor guy couldn't catch a break. Understandably so, however, she went to talk to him after all!

Unfortunately, what she had to say was less than enticing, but it was in good humor nonetheless. It was something that he could at least laugh about with her, which he had. "Oh?" Abe teased whilst feigning innocence. "I was only checking out her poker face - was wondering if she had a good hand!"

Hopefully all of this chit chat was just a way to pass the time until the last person made up their mind and set the final card down. He was waiting pretty patiently for this round to end, despite the ever-so-alluring bids... which were actually quite lack-luster. Which may sound hypocritical due to Vespera matching his bid, but Abe's bid was there simply to catch some time with someone and get integrated. And Drake's "Love and Admiration" would get him how far exactly? Scratch that question, he quite honestly doesn't want to know.

Amimoore Black Dellamorte.

Amimoore nodded her head, and kept her eye on Jesse. She felt like Jesse was nervous, for some reason. Maybe he doesn't have too much experience with talking to girls... Or as he may have stated, just new to the super-hero theme. Understandable. She herself was brought up in an environment of super-humans. Or something else entirely. Amimoore could easily get the information out of his head using her telepathy. Hm. That was exactly what she was going to do. A subtle and clean mind-read and then she'd know a few things about him. Amimoore said some idle small talk while she read his mind, "Oh? Well you-" She cut herself off when she felt something strange.

Then it happened.

An atrocious screaming sound quickly filled Amimoore's head that drowned out all other thoughts, and senses. Utterly overloading her telepathy. Causing her an immense pain. Nothing like she has ever felt before. Her telepathy was utterly overloading her mind. It was utterly impossible for her to even think straight, let alone do anything other than open her mouth, and let out a blood curling scream - That caused the room to grind to a halt because of how loud she was screaming. No matter how loudly the music was playing; it couldn't drown out this agony. Amimoore dropped down to her knees, clenching her ears in pain. Light amounts of blood dripped down from her ears and nose. Literally, she had no clue what was going on around her, since the agony had overshadowed her perception of the area around her.

All she wanted was for this pain to end.

Drake Blackmore, & Gabriela Valos.

"Huh...?" Drake was just about ready to let out a snarky remark when a girl started screaming and rolling on the floor, seemingly in pain. Immediately, Drake was ready to put this poker match on hold, and help this chick. He got up out of the chair and stood straight up. He quickly adjusted his tinted goggles over his eyes, and adjusted the strap, then spoke to the group "Sorry, ladies and gentlemen, I'm gonna have to put this match on hold." He quickly ran over to them. With little to no idea how he could help them really. Hell, perhaps he could drag them to someone that could. Anything.

Finally, a reason to get out of this poker match. Gabe thinks to herself, as she raised an eyebrow and looked at the girl on the ground screaming like a maniac. The situation that Amimoore was in garnered no sympathy from Gabe. It only annoyed her. She narrowed her eye. But she saw it as a way to get out of this situation that she liked even less - Which made Amimoore's agony the lesser of two evils. She saw Drake run off towards them, and couldn't help but make a remark, "The rest of you strong gentlemen should go help her." Gabe says to no one in particular, but was directed at the males on the table. It was difficult for her not to say it sarcastically.

Jake Vin, & Jaska Din Valos

Celo wrote:

"Heh, you're on." Jake says playfully. He was excited to see what Ene could bring to the table in terms of pool. He mostly was having a good time with Ene, if he was going to discount the initial awkwardness of her power reveal. Jake got off off the sofa and lead Ene to the pool tables. Jaska followed quietly even though he didn't know how to play and was too short for it anyway. Jake grabbed a pool cue, and handed it to Ene, expecting her to be the first person to shoot, just to see how good she is, "You first-" He was cut off by the screaming that filled the room. He quickly turned his head over to the source and stared. He was super confused about what the hell was going on. Was her powers spazzing out? Or was she just having a freak out? Jake didn't know or care. Another question was whether Jake should help or not. Which was a problem since he didn't know what they were capable of. Little did he know, they could overload or explode and kill everyone. Which made him very reluctant to go over and help.

For Jaska, the loud screaming was a bit more irritating, more than the music was. Jaska tensed up a bit, and covered his ears with both of his clawed hands. Very carefully trying to avoid cutting himself with his own claws. "What's wrong with her?" Jaska asks as he looked on, somewhat oblivious to what has happened. His voice was somewhat drowned out by the screaming, so Jake couldn't hear him that well.

Carmen 'Lily' Santo.

After the poker match, Lily made haste in leaving the lounge. She didn't want to be apart of the poker match after it got crowded with all those people. She was fine with Drake, Gabe, and Jake, but after Seth, Vespera and Cassandra came in, she got a bit uncomfortable. Abraham's arrival was just all the motivation she needed to leave. But she had a bad feeling about Cassandra and Vespera. She didn't know why, but she did. Probably because of how shady they looked. Heh, maybe I do have a 'woman's intuition' after all. She kept walking, seeing the exit as some sort of finish line. Until the girl screaming had distracted her, causing her to whip around and look. She observed very carefully, and squinted. Just by observing for a little bit, she knew exactly what happened. Their powers had a negative reaction with each other.

Lily had just walked out of one situation and barely escaped another.

There was a bit of a conflict in her head. On one hand, she could really help them, and on the other, she could reveal her power this early - Ah, screw it... She quickly made her way through the lounge towards Amimoore and Jesse. Hoping that she'd be able to help them, and kept her powers discrete.

Merry hadn't spoken up when Lily decided to quickly leave the match, no doubt uncomfortable by the suddenly growing numbers of the people who had decided to play. Merry decided to step out of the next round, still not knowing how to play the game. She did feel a bit guilty as Lily ran off, feeling a bit of confidence leave her. She just hoped she hadn't offended her new roommate by ignoring her. She had just been distracted by all the new people, they were all rather interesting and no less intimidating as they came. She had sat in silence for awhile, causally stealing glances at the remaining figures at the table When her thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of someone screaming. Merry hadn't even known the screaming girl was there, deep in thought, until she let herself be known by screaming.

Merry, being rather close to the screaming girl, was shocked and terrified. She barely heard the comments being made by Drake and Gabe. Merry scrambled out of her chair, towards Gabe, to watch the scene unfold from a safe distance. She wondered what had happened to case this. Could someones power be causing horrible pain? She bit her lip nervously, not even noticing as Lily returned.

Ene smiled as she took the pool cue from Jake. She, like him, was enjoying their time together, trying to avoid the awkwardness of her power reveal. She aimed the cue at the table, expertly aiming it, when the screams started. Ene jumped, dropping the cue as she turned to the person who was screaming. "What's going on?" She asked no one in particular, startled.

-
Jaylin, Kynan, and Len
-

When Amimoore began screaming, the trio instantly turned towards her. Jaylin and Kynan both holding scared expressions, and Len's only slightly shocked. The twins were te first to approach, Jaylin speaking up "Amimoore, calm down. Everything's fine, right?"

Kynan, what should we do?"

I don't know. I hope she's not sick

How about we read her mind? Then we can find out

Sounds good,

The two merged together and tried to read her mind. They couldn't, though, because of the girl's mental barriers. They separated again, "Too strong," Kynan said, "Her mental barriers from her power won't show us." Jaylin then spoke up, " Do you know what to do, Len?" They turned to their older step brother, looking to him for guidance.

Len frowned, examining the blood coming from Amimoore's ears. He slowly stepped forward. Was someone in her mind, making her ears or thoughts or whatever hurt? Why else would she be screaming? Len slowly stepped forward and placed a hand on her shoulder, wincing from the screaming. He continued frowning, now from concentration, a he tried to block any pain that might be in the girl's head. "Calm down," was all he said, mostly mumbling the sentence, a bit annoyed with the screaming.

Jesse Sutor

Jesse dropped to his knees about as soon as Amimoore had - an instantaneous, shrill screech penetrated the air around him and stabbed at his ears. He no sooner found himself writhing on the ground beside the girl, clutching his ears as he screamed in agony. It was unbearable! Chills and shivers racked his body as he struggled to open his fastened eyes, barely able to conjure enough energy besides scream an unearthly scream. Jesse heard his ears ringing as his mind twisted and turned in vertigo. Unbearable! UNBEARABLE! "Make it stop", he cried aloud, but his pleading seemed useless, drowned out by the wailing that pierced through him. His ears, his eyes, his head! Unbearable!

He couldn't even hear or notice all the people that were beginning to crowd around the two of them, it was something he couldn't even think about at the moment.

A warm sensation came across his ears and his hands - a warm, goopy puddle of thick crimson blood pooled up in his ears and sp-lled over his hands and through his fingers. But it did no good to drown out the noise, but it was enough to prompt him to clench his teeth shut and roll on his back to look up, where he then saw what had to be the most horrific sight of his life: the apparitions! The apparitions that had thus far been passive and ignored his existence had encircled around him, hovering over his body, their intangible forms and faceless heads encroaching ever closer, circling him from all directions. Their screams! The screams were from them! His eyes dilated in horror and clutched them once again as if to hide - but it was useless - forever useless! He could feel them staring at his back, his vulnerable back faced towards them! It would be useless endeavor though - he could no longer contain himself and rejoined Amimoore in her screaming. And her screaming? She was screaming too - why was she screaming - how could she hear them? They existed solely to him! Unless it was her fault somehow, it had to be! Why would this happen now were it not for her?

But oh for the love of God, please, make it stop!

Abraham Gene

"Haha-- w-wait, what? What's goin' on?"

Abe was entirely confused. At first they were having a grand, fun time. But it ended as abruptly as the two kids off to the side that had started screaming. For no sheer reason it seemed, to boot. He figured it as a bunch of stupid idiots thinking it's funny, but it gradually became more disconcerting. He got up shortly after Gabe's comment, following after Drake to find out what was happening. And as he did, it definitely looked like there was more going on than just some tomfoolery. They were absolutely rolling around on the ground in pain - that's off the charts crazy! There was CENSORED blood coming out of their ears! The girl seemed pretty distressed and in pain, but the boy was completely flipping the hell out. He wasn't just in pain, he was traumatized or something. He was screaming, covering his ears, hiding his face and curled into a ball.

He didn't know what to think other than to be slightly freaked out by this happening, which shortly turned into anger. There had to be some psychic going around and torturing people. Or maybe some sound dude that plays with frequencies or some weird jazz like that? Whatever it was, messing with some kids was once thing. This is another. This looked evil. And if there's one thing he hated, it was some asshole shooting up kids... it brought out enough of his anger to make him clench his fist, his power subtly enveloping his fist, though not visibly so - the inside of his hand was undergoing solidification.

Which should be just the kind of surprise this anonymous asshole deserves.

Len sighed in annoyance. There's two!? Why him!? He kept his power concentration on Amimoore as he turned to see the deliverer of the other scream. Some guy was screaming, and he also had blood coming from his ears. What were they hearing, anyways? Not that he wanted to hear it too, but... He wanted to know. Okay, maybe he didn't want to know THAT badly, but he'll ask them after all this.

Reaching towards the guy who was also screaming, Len placed a hand on his shoulder, grumbling something about annoying people. He kept his eyes closed now, trying to block two people's pain. Sweat was forming on his forehead from concentration- there was even a vain popping out on it. He began talking, words strained from concentration.

"...You guys stop screaming? Trying... Concentrate... Annoying...." He wasn't even paying attention to the other people around, otherwise he probably would have spoken a lot less. Len had a resolve in mind after the two stopped screaming, though- he was going to find whoever was making them scream and punch them for having him was his thinking. The sweat was becoming more apparent on Len and his legs shaky. Hurry and stop screaming, already.

Ene
-

As the other person began screaming, Ene winced. She wasn't sure if she should approach them or not and stayed next to Jake in front of the pool table. Her mind was panicking from indecision. Should she help or not? They could be about to die, and she could save them or something (though she wasn't sure how). But then what if she approached them and something bad happened? Like what if they're screaming because they're about to blow up? But then there's blood coming from their ears, so... That can't be why, right? Or maybe it was....

Ugh! The screaming was keepingEne from thinking strait. She covered her ears and turned to Jake, giving him a confused, frightened look as if asking for his input on the situation.

Amimoore Black Dellamorte, Drake Deltori Blackmore, Carmen 'Lily' Santo

Amimoore quickly thrashed around, until she was completely out of Len's grasp. He was barely helping. She didn't want to feel less pain; she wanted all of this to stop. She stopped for a moment, to inhale, before she continued screaming. The screaming got much worse than before. She was unaware of.

At this point Lily approached Amimoore, and the three kids that were there first. They were telling her to "calm down" like it's going to do anything. She's in immense pain, and doesn't even know what's going on around her. Of course these three wouldn't know since they don't have power intuition. But Lily couldn't help but get irritated. She snapped at them, hissing through her teeth at them, "Are you three stupid?! She's in pain!" Lily didn't care what they said in response, because there were more important things going on. She turned her attention to Amimoore.

Damn, she has one hell of a breath. Drake thinks to himself as he approached Amimoore. He was just about confused as anyone else. He had a feeling that somebody did something to these two.... If he finds out who is behind this, he was going to give the little sh*t stain a problem or two of his own. Screw what Adam said about fighting. This is a sadistic thing to do that to such a pretty little lady, and a guy. Drake won't stand by and let this f*cker do sh*t like this unopposed. He clenched his fists.

Lily knew, from examining them sufficiently, that Amimoore was the source of the problem. She used her telepathy on Jesse, and the creatures he's linked to are attacking her, getting Jesse in the crossfire. It's a simple solution to this problem; just cut of Amimoore's power, then all will be will. Lily focused on Amimoore for a second, and stopped the active use of her power. Thus, saving both of them from the pain. It'd be near-impossible to trace back to her without a power. Lily took a few steps back, hoping to leave before she has to explain anything.

Suddenly, everything stopped. The screaming, the pain... It went back to normal. She had no clue what happened. But she couldn't get up. She laid on the floor, dormant, and shivering. Not doing anything. She couldn't get over what the hell she just experienced. "... Thank you." Amimoore quietly whispers, to no one in particular.

Jesse Sutor and Abraham Gene

It stopped - just like that - and without explanation, the screaming had ceased leaving nothing but the blood rushing through his head and the aches that were left over. Hellish screams followed by maddening silence was nearly enough to drive him over the edge, but instead he relished in it. Silence. The world around him was, at the moment, unimportant and insignificant. He ignored everything and everyone, focusing only on the cool calm that had so suddenly enveloped him... it was relieving. As Jesse's breathing slowed down, his body began to relax and uncurl from the position he had previously put himself in, setting his hands down to his sides with his back firmly pressed against the ground, letting the blood that had pooled between his ears and hands to spill out onto the floor. His eyes stared at the ceiling.

Jesse gave himself a moment to relax like that for a while, not thinking about the seconds that were passing by. Allowing his eyes to drift, he noticed the apparitions - once merciless, angry and wicked were now nothing more than passive machine on standby like they were once before, hardly paying heed to him unlike before. He turned his head the other way to see The girl he had met before, Lily, walking away from the two of them. He didn't know if she had played a part, but she wasn't behaving like the others. Not at all. It was enough to prompt him to try to speak despite what he had undergone. He only managed
to choke out, "thank you".

On top of his stinging ears and the pain that pulsed and reverberated through his head, his throat felt like CENSORED. Might not be a good idea to talk for the rest of the night.

He felt a drop of blood drip onto the floor from his ear lobe, just now paying heed to the bloody mess the two had made. Ugh... should I get that checked out? I... I think I just want to go to bed already.

Pushing himself off of the floor was a bit of a struggle and he was mildly annoying by the crowd that had accumulated around them. Really, all the staring is definitely going to make his life better. He couldn't keep himself from glaring at the other out of the corner of his eye. Abe caught this - the action was done understandably, of course. Getting your ass kicked by whatever and people caught staring? Abe backed off and motioned the others, though mostly Drake, to do the same. Jesse sighed and looked at Amimoore. There was still the matter of her. There shoud've been no need for her to experience it unless she had something to do with it. Though he honestly didn't know the extent of his own powers, that surely shouldn't have happened without provocation.

"What... what did you do? Did you cause that?" He coughed with his raspy throat. He expected some sort of answer, because he definitely didn't want to experience that again.

Abe on the other hand felt a bit dumbfounded watching it. Her? What could have she done? and why would she do something that would've harmed herself like that? The dude must be mistaken, there had to be some guy hiding around stirring shit up. Okay, so maybe he didn't know what either of their powers were, but surely neither of them would do something like this to himself. The idea was crazy. Then again, so were kids. He wanted to leave them be and get back to the card game (despite it not sounding like a very fun prospect anymore, much like losing one's appetite), but on the other hand Abe was pretty curious about the whole mystery and wanted to discover the truth behind what happened.

First world problems, right? Pffft! Wrong! If there really was a dude around doing these stunts than he was at risk too! What responsible individual would shirk the duty that was their own safety? Not Abe! That was for damn sure.

Vespera, Seth, and Cassandra

Vespera took her hand and looked through it briefly. The odds were stacked against her. While she did almost have a flush, the values were so low that it wouldn't be any use if one person had an average hand. Despite this her poker face was neutral and unwavering. Even as Abraham tried to find any cracks in her defenses. She sat up straight and help her hand higher up. This exposed chest and made his sizing her up comment questionable. "You should know that a spider can remain motionless for hours waiting for her prey."

"So long as you have permission and or a teacher is present, you should be able to train on your free time should you so choose." Seth himself never actually used the facility outside of class, but it was common knowledge. "The arena is done by challenge and absolutely has to be monitored. Unless of course you feel like taking on one of the staff members." He hoped to see a father son match up sometime during the year, though he'd never say so. Just saying that staff members can be challenged would get Drake thinking about that anyways. Lily's departure had no impact on Seth, and he made sure to show that it didn't. Knowing Cassandra she would help Vespera win if she knew that she could get away with it.

Aminoore's screaming interrupted the match. Drake immediately took off to help. Seth didn't move to do anything, because there was nothing he could do. All the other guys were looking for somebody responsible. Considering that the problem wasn't intentional he decided not to say anything. "All I could do is put her to sleep Gabe. Things like this happen often, especially in the beginning, just this time I can't assist."

Cassandra spat. "Chivalry is dead. Why couldn't one of us try to help her?" Many of her beliefs were old fashioned, but not this one. She absolutely hated man and woman stereotypes, and how they were supposed to act.

Then her cries subsided, and Seth wen't back to at ease. Had it gone on for much longer he would have done just what he told Gabe that he could. He caught on the the intervention, and wasn't too surprised at it. There were so many bizarre powers out there that anything was possible. This was something that he knew better than most others. Besides Adam, and now Lily.

Len sighed, stepping away as Amimoore shrugged him off. He was a but relieved- trying to numb two people's pain was hard, and not doing anyone's at all was, of course, easy. Just like that, the screaming stopped. He sighed, whipping some sweat off his forehead. Now it wasn't so annoying here- then he noticed. Everyone in the room was looking at the two people, but he was near them. Len coughed, turning to Jaylin and Kynan. "I'm going, then. See you guys." With that he turned around, slowly walking out the room.

"See ya'!" The twins said in unison before looking down at Amimoore, both panicking a bit. Jaylin was the first to speak.

"Amimoore- you okay? We should take you to the nurse or something- where's the nurse? Or a healer? You know any healers?" He looked around frantically.

Kynan! There's blood coming from her ears- her ears, I tell you!

I know! I don't know why, though. It's like that for the other guy that was screaming.

I thought it only happens for when you hear loud things or something.

There are a few exceptions, but yeah, that's true. We should get them checked by the nurse.

Find a nurse? I'm on it.

Kynan realized what Jaylin was about to do and quickly shook his head frantically, "Don't do tha-" to late. Jaylin jumped on top of a pool table- the one by Ene and Jake, to be exact- making a loud "thud" sound as his feet landed. He gave an impish grin to them before cupping his hand around his mouth and calling across the room, "What're you guys doing just standing there? These two need a healer or nurse. Can someone direct us to the closest one?"

Kynan, meanwhile, stood beside the table, covering his face with a facepalm though he was smiling a bit.

Ene sighed, her shoulders relaxing when the screaming stopped. She looked at Jaska an Jake, opening her mouth to say something before jumping again when a loud "THUD" was heard on the pool table behind her. She slowly turned around to see a young boy with an impish grin looking back at her. As he asked the question to... The whole room, Ene began to laugh a bit. Somehow the strange boy's actions humored her.

After a few moments, Ene stopped laughing, thinking for a sec. She didn't know where a nurse or healer in the school was, either, actually. Ene gave him a shrug before turning back around. She noticed beside the pool table was... The boy again? Ene stepped back, almost bumping into Jake. She glanced back. "Sorry," she smiled before stepping forward to her previous place. She looked back up at the pool table. The other boy was still there. She glanced back at the other one. Now she saw the difference- they were wearing different sports team logos. She turned around to face Jake again, lowering he voice a bit, "It's almost like they're clones with how alike they are," she smiled.

Leila Gabrielle Septim

Silence. Leila was crying, something which she hadn't done in quite a while, given that it made for open season with the demons: she had learned to restrain that, at least. Eli put his arms around her and she, with the kind of frightened scurrying of a crippled doe or, perhaps more accurately, abuse victim, pressed against him, as if moving too far away from him would bring the f*cking voices back, bring everything back

What if he could end it? What if Eli could...could really stop it? She...she'd be able to sleep normally and go to school and...oh. Leila hadn't entertained those kinds of ideas for a long time, having long since accepted her fate, but this was...she could be normal. Leave this school. Go somewhere and

"Thank you, oh God, thank you," Leila said.

Meanwhile, the demons talked amongst themselves-they felt the scouring presence of Eli's angelic gifts, but it was above them-like soldiers in a bunker casually hearing bombs explode harmlessly aboveground.

It would be so easy Lust laughed, watching Leila cling to Eli like a drowning man to a life vest. There was nothing sexual or even romantic in the gesture, it was an even mixture of fear and relief.

It would. But it would be a temporary victory. Long term success comes later. Pride, too, was grinning. She will break. As will he.

A prophet of the Lord? Envy clicked her tongue. At least, back in the day, Ezekiel had a little fire to him, this one just looks pathetic.

Pardon the pun, but my assessment is that he has a bit of a messiah complex. It is...extremely unlikely he is a prophet.

You said that about the carpenter's kid too.

Greed glowered at Gluttony. A minor oversight. Regardless, Leila's days of autonomy are coming to an end. Before this, she was addicted to us. She merely didn't realize it. Eli will fill that void. And when Eli breaks, we'll pick up both their pieces.

And if the boy is truly a prophet?

Then we remind the world what happened to the last one. Wrath rumbled.

Leila looked up cautiously at the rosary. Before, it...they...she hadn't stepped foot in churches or even been able to tolerate listening to people reading the Bible. Rosaries and other things, they'd had a kind of painful glare to them, like the sunlight burning off a mirror. This one seemed to be like that, but greatly lessened. Moving slowly, she used her sleeve to take the rosary (it felt incredibly heavy in her hands) and slipped it into her pocket, where it felt as if it tugged her entire shirt down. An uncomfortable warmth pulsated against her side from that point, and she quietly thought she'd remove it as soon as she got it. Leila didn't want to be reminded of what she was-or what kinds of things she'd done-any more than was strictly necessary.

"Oh God. Thank you. You don't even know how...what they..."

Amimoore Black Dellamorte, Carmen 'Lily' Santo, & Drake Deltori Blackmore.

"It's over. Dear god it's finally over. It's over... It's over..." Amimoore whispered to herself over and over again. While on the floor and her hands over her ears, not even trying to get off the floor. A dumb smile formed on her face, a smile of relief, because she was glad that it was finally over. She just wanted to lie down on this dirty floor and never get back up. Nothing in her life has ever matched what just occured. She didn't pay attention to a thing in the world, just staring at the floor. View's great here. Not Drake. Not the twins. Not... But, Amimoore became a lot more attentive when Jesse finally spoke.

Lieo wrote:
... "What... what did you do? Did you cause that?"

Immediately, Amimoore's eyes darted wide open, she quickly darted up to her feet. She turned her full attention on to Jesse, and had a panicked expression on her face. She was desperately panting for air, while taking more and more frenzied steps back. Ami pointed at him with one hand, "Get him away from me!" Her voice a loud screeching, full of utter terror. She wasn't exactly in the right of mind right now - Nor was she in the mind to solve the mystery of what happened. What she was unintentionally doing was placing blame on Jesse, which was. "Why did you do that, you bastard?! I never want to experience that ever again!" She continued panting and taking steps backs

After he was motioned to get back, Drake took several steps back, to give them room. He was just as confused as anyone else. But, instead of focusing on Jesse and Amimoore, his attention was on the crowd. He was looking for any and all potential suspects. Male or female, they weren't going to get away with this. So far, everyone just appeared to be confused and/or curious. That means one of two things is true: the culprit bailed, or he's just here and just has a very good poker face. Drake scowled. Looks like I'm not kicking any @ss today. Then Amimoore started screaming at Jesse, telling him to get away. Which really made Jesse seem like the one responsible for this. "Huh?" Drake says. Still, Drake was confused as ever. Of course, Drake wasn't going to start beating Jesse down. There's a chance this could be an accident, or a big misunderstanding. If it turns out that Jesse is guilty, then Drake will beat his @ss. But, he was going to wait and see how this plays out. If anyone jumps in with ill intent; then Drake will gladly stop them.

Jesus Christ... Lily thought to herself the very moment she heard Amimoore shout at Jesse. She let out an annoyed sigh. She was hoping that things would work themselves out quietly after she turned off their powers. But no. She has to scream about it some more. Lily turned around, and grabbed her right arm with her other hand, somewhat nervous. She knew that Jesse would be blamed for this, at best. Attacked, at worst. Lily had not a clue who some of these people are. They could just be knuckleheads. She has to find a way to explain this without A). Revealing her power. Or B). Revealing their powers (Which would cause A to occur). She quickly took a few steps forward, making herself known, "Look, everyone chill!"  She was barely a few feet away from Jesse and Amimoore, "Before we jump to conclusions or anything, think. It was just an accident. He got hurt as much as she did!" It was a simple way to get everyone to calm down, and to stop Jesse from getting beaten. She met him this morning, but she didn't want to see him get his @ss handed to him over something that wasn't his fault.

"Kinda figured that myself." Drake said directly after Lily did. He figured that it was an accident of some sort at this point anyway. There was that kid who suggested that they get her some help instead of standing here like like tools. Drake figured that he should take the honors, since nobody else would do it right. He took a few steps forward towards Amimoore, and put his hand on her shoulder, "Relax. Everything's alright now. So... how's about we follow the little kid's suggestion and get you some help...?" Drake took a step forward towards Amimoore. "I'll help you there." He said to her with a smile.

Drake's hand on Amimmore's shoulder caused her to cringe and shiver in fear. "O-kay..." She wiped the blood from her nose and ears. "J-just... Take... Take me back to my... my... mansion... Please...."

Gabriela Mya, Jake Vin, & Jaska Din Valos.

True Night wrote:

Cassandra spat. "Chivalry is dead. Why couldn't one of us try to help her?"

Gabe merely shrugged as she walked way. If the fact that she was being near sarcastic was disregarded; she knew that there was little that they could do to help her. Because Gabe's lasers have little use outside of combat (Maybe I could knock the screaming beauties out...). So there'd be little anyone at the poker table could do, other than get a professional. Since both of them stopped screaming, that means that whatever was wrong has just passed. Gabe merely brushed a lock of hair aside, as she approached her two brothers. Before she could say something to them, Amimoore yelled at Jesse to get away from her... Gabe turned her head towards them, curious. Now I know who to start shootin' if that that happens to me...

"Finally..." Jaska says to no one, his voice obviously conveyed how irritated he is right now. His enhanced hearing made it slightly painful for him; especially how loud everyone was doing it. He didn't. Now, the girl was shouting like a maniac. Which, while a little annoying, didn't match up with the screaming. He kept his ears clenched, "Will she shut up already?!" Jaska says, oblivious to her feelings.

Right when both Jake and Gabe were going to say something, they heard a thud that interrupted them.

Immediately, the attention of Jake, Gabe, and Jaska turned to the twins. Humorously, all three of them raised their eyebrows in response. They got the acute feeling that. Of course, none of the trio could actually do anything. Jake's illusions would do little to help, and Jaska and Gabe's powers are worthless here. But going off the impish grin on their faces, it seemed like they weren't taking this seriously. Which was a bit annoying, to say the least.

"We don't know any healers." Jake says to them, answering their question. "We just got here a few hours ago." He explains.

All this yelling and loud noises was really started to get to Jaska. Like super irritate him. He was ready to go. Now. "Can we go now? I really don't like it here."

"We'll go in a second, Jask."

"Dandy." Gabe says sarcastically. Between that stupid poker match, Amimoore and Jesse's little incident dragging out, and these annoying twins; Gabe's mood was really starting to sour again. The whole lounge just turned into one big drama show, and Gabe didn't like it. "Alright, looks like everyone's party mood has been soured. I think we should go now. Ya' two can bring ya' girly friend, if ya' like."

Jesse Sutor and Abraham Gene

Jesse winced and drew back upon Amimoore's reaction. This he saw as unfounded and unexpected it, visibly confused by the girl's accusations. His brows arced and lips pursed, he was beginning to feel some semblance of fear - while not one that matched up to the horror he felt upon looking at the apparitions' faces - he found himself frightened by her shouting and anger, it was worrisome. He thought she started it, and she thought he started it? But it wasn't his fault! It had to be a ploy, to rally the others around her, what else could it be? It would work too, people always took the girls' side. His fear gradually turned to anger the more she accused him, the expression on his face growing incredulous. There was blood flowing from my fucking ears too, damn broad. He threw his hands forward, palms out, showing her the blood that was on his hands too if the blood on the sides of his face weren't enough. He was too tired to argue through words and he felt the tense atmosphere of the crowd around him.

Abe was actually rather surprised by the turn of events - now the girl was yelling at him? Now that was funny, leading him to almost scowl at the boy before remembering that this guy was also a victim... and he seemed to have it worse than the girl the way he was reacting but looks to have made a better recovery (although not by much, the look in his eyes still showed signs of trauma). His anger was diffused, being left simply bewildered by the events. He didn't know what to think when he noticed the glares of his peers directed at Jesse.

That's when Lily stepped in to help him, and thank God that she did. Jesse didn't have the energy to defend himself from the accusations of a hysterical girl and an entire crowd of teenagers. All he could muster was to turn his head to face her and give her a thankful glance. The situation seems to have diffused a little, which was enough to prompt him to push himself up to his feet, albeit with some struggle. His knees shook as he staggered his way to lean against a table before pulling himself up to sit, his legs hanging limply. Naturally, the others rushed to Amimoore's aid - the conniver's aid - whereas he had to struggling every moment just to get himself readjusted. He leaned back tired and weary, listening to bickering that had gone back and forth between people in the room. Arguing about healing powers? Seriously? It was aggravating enough to drive him to cough out an agitated bark to all the bystanders. "God damn it... just get one of the nurses! I'd rather have a professional do it anyways..." Not some random kid.

It was then that Abe definitely backed off - it was made clear what he wanted and how he felt. Hell, Abe would probably be a whole lot meaner than Jesse was, he'd probably break anyone's face that said something stupid. Anyways, someone had to take initiative right? His attention turned to Seth. He seems to know the school pretty well.

"Hey! Goody-two-shoes," he called out careless to the guy's feelings, "you know the school, right? Get the nearest nurse in here, will ya?"

Abe noticed Drake going down to help the girl out of the corner his eye, just picking up a bit of what she said. Something about her mansion. Was she delusional or did she actually have a mansion here? She'd have to be the daughter of someone important here then, a good group to be caught up in right? Anyways, he had to say something about it, assuming his business with Seth was done and over with, and that he wouldn't gripe about being sent on a man's job. He walked up beside Drake and looked down at the pitiful mess of a girl on the floor.

"Wooah, slow down sweetheart. Unless you have a good qualified doctor in the mansion of yours, I don't think you should be going anywhere. Where is this mansion anyway? Out in the blizzard?"

Abe was being a bit bossy, sure. Nobody else was doing anything so if they have a problem, they can take it up with him. To which he'd respond with a brutal beating because being a whiny awesome person after two people got ear raped is such a petty thing to be doing. Besides, what authority did they have to refuse him?

Eli

"It's okay." He hugged Leila tightly as she pulled herself close. She was grabbing onto him for dear life, as if letting go would cause her to plunge into the abyss once more. "You're safe now."

But was she really? Eli couldn't help but feel this question pop up in his mind. These demons seemed extremely powerful and yet they vanished like dust in the wind. Eli wanted to believe, though, and so he did, despite how foolish it was. He believed that he had saved Leila from Hell, and that as long as he held her tight, she would be safe. The thought of her attractiveness no longer crossed his mind. This wasn't a hug of romance, it was a hug of safety and understanding. Yet those demons still plagued him in his mind. It would be so easy to take advantage of Leila. She was so pretty, and yet so vulnerable, like a feather floating in the wind. He almost did it too, Eli did, but he thought about the miracle that God had allowed him to perform tonight and his lust melted away. He decided to keep his lust down by asking questions.

"How long have they been bothering you?" Eli asked.

Jasmine

Jasmine was stopped halfway down the steps by Rush and his gang and rolled her eyes. People should have learned by this time that barring Jasmine from her coffee was a terrible, terrible decision, but yet they always stopped her when she was on her way to get more. This guy was a trip. He looked generally nerdy, with a pair of welder's goggles on his head and a long black trench coat. He looked like the Engineer from Team Fortress 2 mixed with a drug dealer that she'd exposed once. His attire looked so generally goofy that she could hardly take him seriously. But he was posing a line of inquiry which Jasmine felt intrigued by, though, and so she didn't shove past him rudely like she was originally going to do. Ray sounded like one of those people that always wanted to slide his two cents into the back door with his comment about wanting something in return. Jasmine generally didn't like those kinds of people. They always had to get the last word in even when their last word was bad and wrong.

"What? So I can't do anything out of the kindness of my heart?" she sarcastically replied to Ray with a phony smile that quickly evaporated back to her generally bored half-scowl "I hope you weren't, because my heart has not a single morsel of kindness anywhere in it. Anyways, I'm interested, though I'd appreciate it if you accompanied me to the cafe so we could work out the details there. I don't function very well without coffee."
