Valery Arsov

Valery was on the verge of intervening when the duel came to an end, with Abe triumphing over Drake. Valery clapped his hands in mock applause, laughing. "Bravo, bravo. Do not worry, my friends. I will not tell anyone the story of how Abe broke your ass on the first day of school. I will use for blackmail later." Valery stood up, stretching and yawning, then meandered over to where Drake and Abe were. "If rock-hard Abe hurt your ass as badly as I am thinking, perhaps this will come in handy for the two of you." Val cupped his hands together and grunted. For a second, nothing happened, but the air dropped by twenty or thirty degrees within five or six feet of him within a couple of seconds and snow rapidly began to form in his hands. Soon, there was a basketball sized orb of it-and if one paid close attention, the rapid use of Val's power made the capillaries in his hands freeze up a bit. They'd be stiff and numb for a minute or two. Val split the ball of snow in two and handed each half to one of them, laughing all the while. "Put this on bruises. It will save you shame of going to nurse and asking them to put ice pack on your ass, Drake. I am impressed by both of you. Seems like we will have a very good team."

Arianna Madrigal

There were too many people, now, for Arianna to really keep track of the Symphony's exact fluctuations, especially trying to maintain a conversation and a smile and keep watch of a dozen other conventional social cues, but she was just aware of it to know Gabe was pissed. Yikes. "Oooh, pretty lady? Jake, I like your brother already." Arianna turned to Gabe, trying to keep things cordial with a grin and an extended hand for a shake. Please don't break my hand off. "I'm Arianna, Gabe. Nice to meet ya." Hm. The Symphony took another noticeable plunge, the melody shifting into something out of a horror soundtrack. Fear? What were people afraid of? Or at least nervous about-this was more akin to the subtle music of a suspenseful scene than, say, the blaring Psycho shower music. Arianna quickly ran back through the conversation, but couldn't think of anything really unnerving somebody would've said. The telepathy of the twins wasn't all that worrisome to Arianna-after all, nobody would really use something like that maliciously, would they? Maybe it was Ene's power, which she hadn't brought up. She could ask her roomie about it later. Gabe, maybe? She was kinda scary looking...no, that probably wasn't it. She could hear it coming from Gabe too. Hm.

Oooh. A topic she was good with. "Gangster rap." Arianna said, holding a straight face for about a second. "No, I'm totally kidding. I like just about anything, honestly. It clicks, you know? What people were trying to do with the lyrics and how it ties in with the music itself...eh, I'll stop before I start rambling. You?" Arianna, talking with Jake, entirely missed Gabe's question. She picked back up on the conversation as the others discussed that they liked the school, so Arianna managed to put two and two together-which was quite the accomplishment, given the number of blonde moments Arianna had.

"Yeah, it is really chill here. Guys shooting lasers at each other over there, people have already tried to throw stuff at the teachers, the spandex suits...what's not to love?" In all seriousness, Arianna did like the academy, and her tone was too jovial and happy to be serious. It was nice here, although a major culture shock for a girl who'd been going to the same private school up until now. Adjusting would take time, but she knew she'd fit in well.

Despite the few incidents that took place in the training hall, the rest of the assessments went by swimmingly and in less than an hour, everyone was complete. Then everyone went their separate ways for the rest of the day.

4:23 PM

Light amounts of snow began to fall yet again

Gabriela Mya Valos, & Sage Lucas Pimm.

Spoiler:

Yet again the cast of the 218 have found themselves in the student lounge.

In particular, there was Gabriela Valos and Sage Pimm. Sitting in chairs around the center of the room, having themselves another conversation, with coffee.

"Ah... So ya' a Pimm..." Gabe says to Sage. A less than pleased look on her face. She was remembering the stupid family feud between the Valos and the Pimm family. The one that's been going on for years... And she didn't care. Gabe actually liked Sage, Jake was too nice, and Jaska was oblivious to such things. There wouldn't be any problems. Gabe leaned in and stirred her cup of coffee.

"Mhm." Sage says to Gabe, nodding their head in the process with a sweet smile on their face. Sage knew that going too much into these family matters would only sour the mood. So they came up with a subject change. "So, want to know about any of the school's myths?"

Less than interested in such silly things, Gabe just says, "Sure..." Slightly annoyed that the conversation had come to such lowly subjects.

"Okay, so," Sage starts off, voice full of a childish excitement, "There's a place outside the school... A place that they say is haunted because when they were building it, they suddenly stopped and banned students from going there. That, or there's a monster in there."

"And where is this?"

"Yeah, it's in a place off campus that's... Half built, and kinda scary. They don't want us going in there."

Gabe felt a strange amount of curiosity. Maybe exploring this place might be more fun than sticking around in here. Ghosts, ghouls, or not. "Wanna head in there?"

Suddenly, Sage felt a bit of uncertainty (With caused it's hair to flicker a white color for a few moments). Especially because they found that place scary. Every time they tried to enter, fear overcame them - Though, no one has ever offered to accompany them inside. The light of God will protect me. Sage closed their eyes for a few seconds, then said, "Yes."

"Excellente. I'll go grab my brothers and a few other idiots - If anything pops up, we can toss them in front of da' monsta.' Hahahahah!"

Jake Vin Valos.

Jake was also in the student lounge with Gabe. Wearing the same suit, tie and bowl hat that he had on before. Seeing that Gabe is off having fun with her friend, Jake decided to give them some space while he goes to do something that had his eye for awhile. He turned invisible, an illusion wrapping around him from head to toe. Masking him from sight, though his footsteps and scent were still there. Jake made his way through the lounge, making sure not to bump into anybody. He only became visible once he was exactly where he wanted to be. The piano. Which he had spotted during his conversation with Ene, and was going to jump on if the screaming and the yelling hadn't started. He certainly knew his way around a piano. He was sitting on the piano chair and took his gloves off, and rested them on the chair - Since he has an easier time doing his thing. Jake started playing the piano, a song he heard awhile back and has practiced. For everyone to hear and enjoy.

The song Jake is playing on the piano:

Drake Deltori Blackmore, Amimoore Black Dellamorte, & Megan Emmet Jervious.

Outside the warm and comforting buildings of the Academy, there was Amimoore Dellamorte, the girl who hadn't gotten over what happened the night before. Out of her suit and into some more casual attire. The snow fell on her, and she couldn't care less. She walked a circle around the massive artificial lake on the island. She walked with her arms wrapped around her chest. Taking occasional glances at the lake. She looked around, the school went on. While she seemed to have stayed where she is. Bah. Nonetheless, Amimoore sat herself down at the nearest bench and rubbed her hands together for heat. Hoping that nobody would approach her. Unfortunately for her; her wishes would be horribly dashed aside.

"Heeeeey Ami! Didn't expect to see you here." Drake says to Amimoore as he approached. Unlike the rest of the cast; he was wearing a different outfit than before. He was wearing a black coat with a white sweater under it. He had black baggy cargo pants that were tattered by his ankles. With large snowy boots on. He had his goggles and gloves on like he normally did. He had a cigarette in between his fingers, indicating that he was out here only to get a quick cigarette fix. He sat down on the bench right next to Amimoore with a friendly smile on his face. He quickly threw the cigarette away into the lake and turned his attention. "... Just came to check on you, you know? I'm making sure you're alright." He put his hand on Amimoore's leg, as a gesture of empathy.

It didn't take telepathy (Though, she was frightened of using them again) for Amimoore to tell that he was just out for a smoke and spotted her. She knew he didn't care about her; just wanted a date or something. She was just going to dismiss this buffoon and be done with it. Though, she was getting the urge to absorb some psychic energy. Maybe he'd have some use. His hand on her was enticing. She started absorbing the psychic out of Drake, through their clothes. A purple light came out of Drake's hand and went into Amimoore's body before it disappeared, being added to the larger psychic energy collective. All it'd take was him not looking down and noticing. Just to make sure he run away mid-feast, she grabbed on to his with a slight grip. Then she started absorbing psychic energy out of that.

"Uh..." Drake felt a bit awkward because Amimoore hadn't said anything, and only quietly grabbed him. He looked around, "... I think I'll be going-" He had looked down and saw Amimoore absorbing something out of him. He didn't exactly know what she was doing. "Yo! Yo! What are you doing?!" Drake yelled as he tried to pull away. Only for Amimoore to tighten her grip around his hand. He hadn't a clue what she was doing, nor did he want to know. He stood up and pushed Amimoore off of him with all of his strength, knocking her clean off the bench. However...

Mid-fall, Amimoore had responded to Drake's pushing by firing a blast of psychic energy at him. She pointed her hand at him, and a greyish-purple ball of energy came out of her hand and went straight at Drake's chest with high force.

Drake hadn't expected such an attack from Amimoore since he thought her power was telekinesis. The blast smacked his chest hard and caused one hell of a bruise. He let out a gasp of air as he went back a few feet, landing on his back with a thump. Right now, Drake was seething with anger. He didn't know what the hell got into Amimoore, and at this point reason was thrown out of the window. Drake quickly jumped back on to his feet, and was ready for another attack by Amimoore. His right arm had already transformed into plasma, from his hand, to his shoulder. The quickly air boiled with a heat that melted the snow around him. One half of him said fight... But the other side was giving him a more convincing argument on why not to. "THE F*CK IS YOUR PROBLEM?!" He roared. Amimoore didn't answer.

People were watching. Not that any of them wavered. Only focused in one suspenseful stare down.

But, one of the people watching were staff members; Megan Jervious. "Now, now you two. It's time to calm down everybody." She skipped her way in between Drake and Amimoore, with her hands up. Just in case someone did attack, her skin mimicked the properties of iron. "Such senseless violence won't solve a thing." She empathized violence in the sentence. She didn't know why an altercation started, but her sole goal was stopping it.

"She...!" Drake says, putting up his plasma infused hand and pointing it at her. Ready to start a good old fashion He-said, She-said. Before realizing the pointlessness in doing so. He put his fists at his sides, and clenched them tightly. Before changing his right arm back into it's normal state.

"And you...?" Megan turned to look at Amimoore - Only to see that Amimoore had vanished without a trace. "Oh well, I'll have a chat with her later."

"The hell was her problem?" Drake says, putting a cigarette in between his lips, then lighting it with a blast of plasma. "Just trying to talk her up, then she blasts me..."

Dexter 'Rush' Chertok, & Ray Judah Drager.

In Rush's dorm-room...

"Heh, this place is a wreck. Just like your workshop back in New York." Ray says, as he stood in the middle of the room between the chaotic mess that was Rush's side, and the cleaner side that belonged to Len. Ray bent over and picked up a wrench from off the floor and held it in his right hand. His sunglasses glistening. Ray was wearing the same outfit he was before he put on the suits. A black sports jacket, sweater underneath it, a scarf around his neck, jeans and combat boots. The only difference was that he was wearing sunglasses over his eyes. "Do you even need half these tools?" The wrench then started lifting a few inches away from Ray's hand upwards, and was suspended in a stasis. Not moving.

The other person in the room; Rush, was sitting on his bed with his legs folded and was typing away at his laptop. Unlike Ray; he was wearing a different outfit than before. He had on his longcoat full of pockets to put his tools and gadgets. Underneath the coat; he had on . Then he had on black jeans and black combat books. Lying next to him; he had all the tools he needed if he were to go out on a mission. Ray paused typing for a moment, and turned his head to Ray. He spoke in his usual robotic tone, "Why yes. Each tool. Has specific purpose. Serves specific purpose. Should organize. Will organize later."

"... Right, boy genius." Ray says in response as the wrench gently dropped back on to his hand. He squeezed the wrench and crushed it.

At that moment, Rush received an Email from the Man in the Mirror. Contacted by mission control. Ready? No. Not ready. Far from it. Need more time. Need more resources. The thought ran through his head as he opened the email. Hoping for the best.

Quote :
Man in the Mirror again,

I hope you have taken the time to get the help you need. Because it is time for you to begin. The first step in exposing the headmaster is heading for the Reception building. You must sneak inside and get into the database and find the filing cabinet of student records.

That is all. I wish the best to you on this operation.

After reading the email, Rush merely sighed and started grabbing his gear, setting up to leave.

"What? We gonna leave?" Ray asks, noticing that Rush is going to leave.

"Yes. Was contacted. By mirror man." Rush says, in his usual mechanical manner of speech.

"... You still trust them?"

"Yes. Dacious. Never one to be trusted. Must expose. Need for change. More apparent than ever."

Seeing that Rush is still so certain about this, Ray just sighs and says, "If you're so set on it; let's go find the truth. We'll find our answers in the form of a prank waiting for us, or what we were looking for." It'd be best if they just get this over with to get rid of the initial doubts. Because there'd be no way Ray would go forward with this without knowing for sure. If it turns out to be a prank, well, they better be good fighters.

"Contacting Miss Cheng now." Rush says as he pulled out his phone and started texting Jasmine.

Ene
-

Ene was in the outfit from earlier- a shorter dress with her blue sweatshirt over it to make it look like a skirt, black leggings, an brown combat boots. She was on her way to see into different classes for extracurricular activities- mostly art. She felt a need to relax from all of these frantic thoughts in her head, and drawing or doing something like that is known to help calm the mind.

She stopped in the middle of the cold snow when she saw a fight scene. She saw the girl from the screaming incident the day before seeming to be in the midst of battle with the guy who who she had seen showing off at training. She wasn't really sure what to do- stepping in was dangerous and she wasn't sure where a teacher was. She could only watch in shock. Luckily, one of the instructors from training- what was her name? Megan?- stepped in. As she talked to the guy, the girl disappeared to who-knows-where.

Ene waited for everything to calm down before approaching the guy. "I, um..." She was hesitant. "Are you okay?"

-
Jaylin and Kynan
-

The two had found the Academy gym and were now playing basketball together. If one finds playing basketball hard, try playing it with someone who has a mind link with you. You can tell what the other person is going to do next. It wa a constant war for the ball- hardy any baskets shot. One would go for a basket, te other would sense it and jump up to block. Perhaps this is how the twins had gotten good at sports. They were each in a pair of black Nike shorts and different colored t-shirts- Jaylin a green one and Kynan, blue. As they played, they were talking to each other.

So what is our list for people, Kynan? Ha! Blocked your shot!

First we check on Ami. Heh, I don't suggest you go right now.

Right. Then we check on Ene?

Yeah. See if we can help her in any way possible.

Yep. She seemed sad. As did Ami, of course.

Great! So we help them!

Yep. And guess what? You got distracted. I made a basket.

-
Bre and Len
-

Bre stretched, yawning a little bit as she and Len walked into the student lounge. She had on a light blue v-neck and a white north face jacket. Her hair was down and swept over one shoulder. She wore a pair of faded jeans and some white snow boots that were designed more for fashion than protection from the cold. Len, meanwhile, was in the same button-down shirt from earlier with some old ripped jeans and steel-toe boots.

Looking around, Bre smiled. "So what do you want to do, Len?"

He shrugged, looking around. "I dunno. Don't really know anyone here." He was mostly looking for a way to get out of the crowded room.

Bre knew Len's motive, but she didn't care. Well, she did, but had good reason for not listening. She wants Len to start talking to people- he felt awkward around people, so she figured the more he was around people the less awkward he would feel. Makes sense, right? Bre scanned the room, fixing her sunglasses a bit.

"Oh! I talked to, um... That person earlier! Lets go talk!" She Egan pulling Len by the hand towards Sage and an eyepatches girl, not even realizing Len was blushing as she did so. As Bre neared, she heard the two speaking of a haunted house.

"Oh! Did I hear haunted house?" Bre joined right in on the conversation as if she knew the two like one would know childhood friends. "Are you going to one? Sounds fun!"

Abraham Gene

Spoiler:

Abe actually felt quite successful today. He rocketed through his classes, got through his assessment with a mighty fine approval without spilling too many of his secrets, and of course, won the sparring session. The landing at the end had his shoulder a little sore for a bit but he took care of that in a jiffy with the ice Val provided. That was quite a bit of fun actually and Drake was quite the competitor. He suspected that his friend wouldn't be so easily surprised the next match, and he had yet to completely go supernova, much like how Abe had yet to show him the golem. But in future matches, when he teams up with Drake and Val against other students, that's when he'll show his true fury.

He was back in his dorm alone looking through his dresser, since the attire he had brought with him to the arena were intended to practice and fight in, too scraggly for socialization and too thin for warmth. A good appearance was required for respect. Respect? He desired no respect from rats, but neither did he desire to be treated as a rat's equal or beneath that of a rat's. Nor did he desire to make an effort to be respected by the lowly likes of lower and middle class substandard charlatans, where such ignominious behavior is unfortunately deemed compulsory by the school. They call it courtesy! It should be courtesy to brush one's teeth before talking to another, lest they wish to be several feet apart from the other, but such is not the case here. Regardless, he had to find befitting clothes. Something comfortable and something warm to bring with him should he succumb to chills. He picked out an off-white v-neck shirt and a fleece button-up with a red and black plaid design. The jeans he had on before worked just as well here too. He eased his feet into black socks and slipped them into his boots and tied them up real fast before obtaining his leather jacket and grabbing his instruments. Why not? He felt in the mood for music and where better to play than the lounge? Well besides his own room of course, but in there there was no opportunity for building his reputation and the potential of serenading some fair lady, unlike the lounge... and he might as well as contribute to its relaxing atmosphere.

He checked the guitar and ukelele before setting off, making sure they were properly tuned before he played them. After his thorough inspection, he zipped up the guitar in its case and slung it over his shoulder. He did so with the ukelele's case as well, but kept the ukelele out to play on his way there. Wrapping its strap over his shoulder, he stepped out the door and started playing a happy and pleasing tune by Neil Diamond at random as he walked down the halls. "Hey look at the way she's wavin' her sail, it's a wondrous sight to see..."

The walk had only taken him two minutes or so before he found his way in the lounge, and had finished his song by the time he got there. By the sounds of it, someone was playing music in there and the song ended nearly as soon as he got in. He looked over and saw a well dressed chap that looked a little familiar on a piano. Pfft, piano. They were pretty sounding n' all, but it wasn't within Abe's league. He thought they weren't engaging enough for him, as he always preferred the sound of strings - but whatever, more power to him. Let him play what he likes. He walked over to one of the tables and pulled out a chair, placing it next to a wall and sat down in it and pushed his dreads out of his face and behind his back. He absentmindedly strummed his ukelele until he thought of a song to play next or until someone had a request. The low strumming had eventually developed into a song he was playing softly to himself, Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours"; this in particular he didn't want to sing. His eyes simultaneously scanning the room for people he recalled familiar. All he could really identify though was the gal Gabe - some hot stuff, eh?

He began to wonder how many others around here had musical talent. There was piano guy, but he wasn't sure how well their instruments would get along. Any drummers? He had to see any, only a bunch of teens gently rapping against their pant legs with no beat or rhythm. Honestly. Singers? Girls liked to sing, so some here had to be pretty good here, right? He was just curious on how they could get a full circle going on to play some actual music. That'd be fun.

Gabriela Mya Valos, & Sage Lucas Pimm.

You didn't hear anything that was said to you, brat. Gabe turned her head and looked at Bre with her sole eye. Giving her a less than pleased look. She wasn't particularly amused that this chick was listening in on their conversation, and the feeling got worse when Bre stuck herself into it. "Yes..." Gabe says, her annoyed emotion seeping into her words. She examined Bre for a moment. A little attractive (Though, Gabe was too annoyed to notice), freckles, thin body - Overall, pretty plain. And she was carting around this other boy who just looked bored. Gabe didn't like neither of them already, but she wasn't going to say a word. Just let her body language say it and hope they go away.

"Oh, yeah, Ene, you can come." Sage says with a warm smile on their face. They remembered Ene and Len from earlier today as the pair that tried to help Leila. Though, Sage had a less than favorable opinion of Len because of his headstrong attitude during the situation. However, Len can easily gain a more favorable opinion from Sage with more tempered actions.

Oh brother. Gabe says, obvious that she didn't want these strangers joining her. But, who knows. Like she said; if a monster pops up; she'd toss these two at it and run it.

Drake Deltori Blackmore, & Megan Emma Jervious.

Celo wrote:
"I, um..." She was hesitant. "Are you okay?"

A light growl came from Drake, as he took another puff of cigarette smoke. He wasn't exactly in a good mood; basically getting attacked by a girl he was trying his damn near hardest to help - Which hit harder than he should have. Particularly caring at this moment. He had hoped that Ene could tolerate his smoking - Because if she didn't want it, she could go away. She came up to him. Drake finally spoke after a moment of silence, "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine." He blew a puff of smoke out between his lips.

"Oh now isn't that nice, Blackmore. You've made a friend!" Megan spoke to them with a sarcastic smile on her face. On the other hand, Megan was focusing on getting rid of the crowd. "Alright boys and girls, the show is over, move along." Megan said to the crowd of people. They quickly dispersed and went about their business. Much to the pleasure of Drake. A devious smirk crept up on her face as she turned to Drake. She knew he was the son of Adam. She was hoping that she'd be able to meet him for herself. And test a certain something. "And Mr. Blackmore, we have much to discuss, meet me in-my-office soon as you can. Oh? Hahaha. I don't have an office, silly me. But find me in the Education Building when you get the chance, sweetie." Megan says as she started walking away from Drake and Ene.

"Oh great. I get blasted across the goddamn sidewalk, and I'm the one that gets in trouble." Drake quietly says to himself as he watched Megan walk away. Ignoring Ene for a few moments.

Jake Vin Valos.

Valery Arsov

Valery, when not attempting to practice his somewhat lackluster womanizing skills, could often be found outside. The appeal was obvious: the light, natural snowfall felt right, like when you curl up in bed in that perfectly comfortable position. Beyond that, it reminded him of home-and while he certainly loved it in America, there was always that part of you that never left home. One grows a little tired of speaking a foreign language that doesn't flow as naturally as your birth tongue, doesn't convey things just like you want them to. Val stood in gym shorts and a t-shirt, a well-trimmed yet grizzled beard obscuring the bottom half of his face, the winter winds making the greyed hair on top of his head ruffle back and forth.

Ah. Quiet. The lovely thing about snow, in Valery's opinion: supposedly, it catches all the soundwaves-all the falling snowflakes, that is. But Val preferred to think of it as a more instinctual thing-even the animals, even nature itself, liked to stop, be quiet, and watch...

Until, that is, the loud sound of shouting broke Val's attempt at meditation.

"Damnit, Drake. You are getting ass handed to you twice today?" He recognized his friend's voice, and sound carried well over the Academy-and it sounded legitimate. Not one of Drake's loud boasts or something, this sounded like genuine panic. Hm. Not a good sign. Unfortunately for whoever this was, they were fighting against Val in his ideal environment-short of Siberia or Antarctica, this was as perfect a climate as he could get.

Turning, his muscles primed and ready to go-they didn't get stiff in the cold, they didn't notice any difference-Val took off towards the sound of the noise, reaching up for his eyepatch but deciding against it. No. No, that was not always the most pleasant experience. Val slowed only momentarily, plunging his big, callused hands down into the snow and coming up with snow clinging to his arms and fists. Curling his hands into his claws, the snow solidified into hard ice, silhouetting his forearms like bracers and forming stiletto spikes jutting out from his fingernails. Had he more time, he could've constructed more of this crude armor over his shoulders and chest, but this would have to do-not like Val hadn't taken a punch or two in his time here, anyways.

Calling up the cold well of power inside him, Val began to make the temperature drop around him, the winds pick up just a bit. He couldn't go full force until he got there-using his power physically slowed him down, so he would have to settle for what little of his power he could use while sprinting full speed. Beneath his tennis shoes, the snow glazed over, letting him skid forward a couple extra feet for each step. It was like ice skating-but manlier.

Ah, too late. Val came sprinting up to the scene, jaw clenched in a rare expression of focus and severity, his arms outstretched and ready to suckerpunch whoever had wounded Drake. "Hey. What the f*ck's going on?" Val scanned between Megan and Drake, seeing no third party-strange. Had Megan attacked Drake? It seemed unlikely, but he didn't let his guard down. The gentle breeze began to pick up into a more recognizable howl, and a faint amount of diamond dust began to roll over the snow-covered plains of the Academy.

"Drake. Do we still have a problem?" Val wasn't particularly fond of stereotypes, but he didn't have qualms playing up the accent and going for "scary movie villain Russian" when it suited him. There was another girl at the scene, but she had come running up as Val was. He didn't think she was involved, otherwise, Megan and Drake's reactions would've been different. He assumed, at least-and assuming things was one of Val's favorite hobbies.

Arianna Madrigal

Blissfully ignorant of the steadily growing, if localized, blizzard outside, Arianna half-walked, half-skipped down the halls, humming to herself contentedly. Where to? Food? No, Arianna wasn't particularly hungry. She had eaten a snack earlier, though-demonstrating her power had taken a little wind out of her. Of course, her natural singing voice was remarkable, but to put that extra bit into it, the quintessence that pushed it from human to metahuman, that drained her a bit. Particularly the more complex it got-and Arianna had been looking to impress earlier. She hoped it had gone over well, she didn't want to be behind. Especially with some of the more exotic powers out there, she was worried what some might see as a glorified musical talent would go unnoticed. What worse fate could there be?

I still haven't decided where I want to go. Arianna realized she'd almost gotten lost in the midst of her internal monologue. She then realized this was actually a pretty regular occurrence-and promptly shut off that train of thought. Focus, silly! Well, not being in the mood for food, and not wearing sufficient winter gear to head outside-Arianna was wearing some comfy designer jeans and a red hoodie, her hair somewhat lazily pinned back in a ponytail-she might as well head to the Lounge. Hopefully she wouldn't trip over anybody this time.

Oooh! Good decision, Ari. There was somebody-Jake, it looked like-playing piano-she didn't recognize the name of the song, but quickly picked up on the melody and deduced the genre and how the song would play out, like a genre savvy filmgoer guessing the twist of a movie. Beyond that, there was another boy playing the ukelele.

"If only I'd known I'd have you guys to play with! I would've brought my violin!" Arianna lamented, jumping up on the piano and watching Abe's form with the guitar for a moment before glancing at Jake's fingers, dancing across the keys. "I might run back and grab it later, but for now I suppose I'll let you two serenade me. Actually, hold up, I don't think I've met you," Arianna said, looking at Abe. "I'm Arianna. You?"

Ene
-

Ene took a step back when Megan stepped in, along with some guy. Megan walked away, leaving shed with the two boys. Ene was quiet a moment, trying to think of what to say. "I don't know where the girl went. I... I'm sorry. I would try to help if I knew." She felt the wind beginning to pick up as the other guy asked a question. She looked from Drake to other boy, knowing better than to reply for him.

Ene's mind wondered, meanwhile, to a different topic. Why was the girl acting out? She had been in a screaming fit yesterday day- she knew that much. Had it been so painful that it changed her life? Ene folded her arms to stay warm as she continued thinking. If only she could read the girl's memories and find out what's- no! It's an invasion of privacy. But maybe it would help... Would it be wrong if it helped? Yes... No... Maybe? Ene felt like she was going to be sick. She had always thought of her power as off-limits, so why was she trying to think of a way to use it?

Len and Bre
-

The girl that Bre chose to approach was rude to her. Len didn't like it. He examined the other one-the person that he couldn't tell the gender of. He was in the training room earlier when the incident happened, right? Yeah. He... She... Whatever seemed okay.

M Allen J wrote:
"Oh, yeah, BRE, you can come."

Bre smiled, noticing and yet paying no attention to The eyepatch girl's annoyance. "Yes! Thanks Sage," Bre grinned. "I've always wanted to go inside a house people say are haunted. It just sounds fun, y'know?" She looked at Len, her voice pleading, "what do ya' say, Len? For fun? It won't be boring."

Len looked at Bre, not really impressed with the idea of going to a haunted house. They were so dumb- everyone knows that haunted houses are never really haunted- people just say that for a fun ghost story to tell others. He should say no. "Yeah, sure." Len gave Bre a small smile. He should say no, but Bre wanted to go and he didn't want to ruin her chance going (though she probably would have gone without him, anyways).

Seth

As per his routine, Seth stopped by the cafe to make sure everything was in order. Behind the counter, a glance at the sales and revenue tracker told him that it was. Not surprising considering it was the first day of school. There weren't that many people, which told him that the lounge was likely more occupied. He said goodbye to his employees, then streaked across the grounds towards his destination. If he was in a real hurry he would have cut through the buildings, but it drew too much attention to himself for casual use. Nonetheless it didn't take long.

From inside he could hear piano music and conversation. As he stepped through the door Abraham was setting up a ukelele. "Good to see some more students with musical inclination." He commented as he walked by. What he was really interested in was a group of students sitting at the center of the room. By the time he arrived, he had pieced together much of the unsaid information about the current social dynamics. It was clear that Bre and Len were newcomers, and that Sage was more welcoming of them than Gabe. It also wasn't just idle conversation, whatever the topic was it was potentially dangerous and likely against the rules.

"Hello Sage, Gabe. And who might you two be?" Most people got the impression that Seth was a goody two shoes, but that wasn't the case. If whatever they were up to wasn't too radical he wasn't going to snitch them out. In fact he probably wouldn't mind participating.

Vespera, Cassandra, and Vance

After hearing back from Seth, Vespera decided that Drake was formidable, but not out of their league. Seth himself refused to participate in any matches today, so that left them with Vance as first choice of partner. Cassandra was a third, should it turn into a three versus three. Their odds weren't as good should he want a duel, but they were prepared for anything.

After going around to spider's that she had placed near the doorways around the academy, Vespera gathered that Drake was outside. With Cassandra and Vance behind her, the trio went out into the cold. She was thankful that the arena was indoors, the weather was almost always atrocious, and the cold would have her a disadvantage versus Drake. Her heightened senses picked up on a commotion, it sounded like their quarry was involved.

They came around the corner right as Megan was departing from the scene. Drake was alone aside from Val and some new student. This could be a good thing, so she decided to challenge both of them. That way it wasn't a duel and Drakes partner wasn't a hidden variable. She turned up her pheromones and adopted a sultry voice, not that she was worried about him refusing. He seemed like the type that would never pass up an opportunity to show off. "Hey hot stuff. Think you two could take on me and a friend?" Vespera didn't acknowledge Ene.

Cassandra looked as into it as Vespera was. As according to plan she caused Drake's body to release  a little adrenaline. That'd put him close to his fight or flight mode, and she didn't see him running. However, she also gave him some dopeamine. With the way Vespera was talking to him she couldn't help herself. In truth it would probably help, but she knew from experience that Vespera didn't appreciate her making guys have the hots for her. This case wasn't that extreme, but she'd still be ticked. Drake was not her type of guy.

Vance remained in the background. He'd come along by request, he didn't care enough to go looking for fights. Although he was looking forward to the prospect of putting a damper on the guys glory hounding. The only problem was if they lost they'd only have done him a favor, and Vespera was a sore loser. He hoped that they knew what they were doing.

Drake Deltori Blackmore.

Good. Val's here. Somebody he can actually trust. Drake had turned away from Ene, since she wasn't contributing anything useful to the situation. He then turned to Val. Despite knowing him for only a day, Drake was certain that he could trust him. "It was that b*tch Amimoore," Drake starts off, putting his hand over his bruised chest and clenched it. Then Drake quickly explained "I was trying to talk to her again, then she started doing this weird sh*t to me, and when I get her to stop, she blasted me... I don't know what the f*ck ..." Drake didn't know what would have happened if Megan hadn't popped up. Well, despite his anger and natural competitive attitude; he wouldn't have tried fighting Amimoore unless it came down to it. Because he had heeded Adam's instructions, and just didn't want to fight her. Whatever happened last night certainly had changed her - Fighting her would have accomplished nothing but hurt his up and coming rep. It'd be too early. "Val, can you make me another block of ice?"

Then to add insult to injury; Vespera and her cronies made their appearance.

Drake quickly sized up Vespera and her crew when they made their approach and challenged him (He presumed). It definitely wasn't a good time right now. In terms of his mood being crappy, and physical state being a bit dented. But, he felt strange, like someone was doing something to him. He was more than happy to accept to fight in the arena, but just that now wasn't the best time. He was less than enthusiastic, normally he'd he shouting, boasting, and doing a myriad of dramatic poses. "Suuuure, two against me is a fair fight, you know?" Drake says, trying to force out that overly excited, but just couldn't do it. "When you do want it? Miss... Jervious, wants to have a word with me... And I'd like a nurse."

Sage Lucas Pimm, & Gabriela Mya Valos.

Look, now you're just being blatant.... Gabe thinks to herself as she stirred the coffee cup, rolling her eyes up into her head. She knew that Bre was just going along now because Gabe was, in some attempt to spite her. But despite how aggravating it is, she found it a little funny. Maybe I should act like a overly enthusiastic spastic b*tch. Yeah, that'd certainly push them away. A mischievous smile crept up on Gabe's face as she looked on.

Sage nodded, keeping that warm half-smile on their face. Sage noted upon Gabe's less than warm response to them coming along. They weren't sure why - But they haven't gotten to know Gabe like that. "Good. We'll see if a few more people want to come, then we'll go." Sage says to them. Hoping for the best that this will be a fun experience. Even if there are no ghosts, monsters or etc.

True Night wrote:
"Hello Sage, Gabe. And who might you two be?"

"Oh, hi, Seth." Sage warmly greets Seth. The two interacted with each other from time to time. They had little problems with Seth's goody two shoes attitude, since Sage was rarely the type to get into trouble. They liked staying out of the spotlight much as possible. "These two? They're Len and Bre. We met during power training earlier today."

This guy again... Where's yer' little harem? Gabe thought to herself yet again as she gave Seth an amused stare. She was starting to get curious about why they were running into each other so much. From the corner of her eyes she could always spot him one way or another. It was just so unnerving. "Hello, Seth... We're just, having a talk." Gabe says, trying to force better mannered tone.

Jake Vin Valos.

"Oh, hey Arianna, I was just practicing and all. You know." Finally, Jake has gotten Arianna somewhere without the telepathic twins, or his own siblings. Which was great since he knew that he didn't trust the twins or Gabe/Jaska to in some way make this awkward for him. He gave Arianna a warm smile as she sat down on the piano. Her presence was a good reason not to mess this all up. He put extra care in playing the piano, every movement of his finger muscles were made with careful movement. Every word she said was music to his ears. Then she mentioned the other guy.... Jake, not stopping his piano recital, turned his head back and saw the guy from last night that was playing poker with Gabe. He was getting ready to play a ukulele. He wasn't a fan of guitar-type instruments, but everyone has their talents and tastes. For a second, Jake thought about what would happen if they all formed a band. Him at the piano, Abe at the guitar (Or ukulele, he didn't care), and Arianna as the singer. Jake turned his head back to the piano keys, and says, "Yo, I'm Jake Valos. Nice to meet ya'."

Vespera, Cassandra, and Vance

It was obvious that Drake was very confident, but Vespera didn't guess that he was so much so that he'd take on two of them by himself. Either he was extremely arrogant, or Seth severely misjudged his abilities. The later would be a first, and it unnerved her, so she went with the first. As much as she'd love to tag team him into the dust, she wouldn't have it. If he lost an unfair match it would only be expected, she wanted to start him off at the academy with being beaten fair and square. "I wouldn't dream of having an uneven match. Find a partner, or I'll take you on alone." She turned to Valery. "It might be convenient that you happened by."

"I heard the scuffle, and it's not my intention to fight you with a handicap. Go get patched up and take care of your other business. We'll be at the arena for a few hours, don't disappoint."

Cassandra ended her influence over Drake, it doubtfully had much effect on the outcome anyways. Never hurts to be prepared though. Now that their task was over, she wanted to be off. Once Valery gave his answer they'd do just that. She made his brain release just a bit of adrenaline and testosterone. Probably what she should have done with Drake, if she hadn't been looking to cause attraction. Perhaps Drake's stress levels got in the way of that, she'd try again some other time.

Vance was a little taken aback by Drake's proposal. Once he got over how bold this guy was he more motivated. Unless they went solo, he'd get in on putting him in his place. Not that he shared the same motives as Vespera or Cassandra, who were clearly looking to hurt his ego. But he hadn't met anybody more full of themself.

Seth

"Nice to meet you." Seth said to both Len and Bre before turning to Gabe. He was no mind reader, however every time social dynamics changed he was well aware. It wasn't likely that Gabe would be the one to tell him what they were talking about. Still any of the other three might let him in, possibly the two who didn't know him. In his case being acquainted would probably hurt his chances, rather than increase them. He gave off the vibe that talking to him was like talking to a teacher. "If I'm not intruding, may I join you? There's no need to stop the conversation." Then of course there was Sage, who had been going long enough to know that he's is friendly to everyone, student or staff. He somehow walked the line and was able to befriend teachers and troublemakers alike.

Ene
-

Ene felt a sigh get caught in her throat as Drake ignored her. It figured- if people didn't find her socially awkward, they ignored her. Of course. Then these two girls popped up pyro f nowhere and start talking to Drake and his friend, also ignoring her presence. She felt her face heat up and hid a scowl that she knew she would regret showing, replacing it with a smile. She didn't say anything- there was nothing needed to be said. She just turned around and walked away.

Ene waited until she was far enough away from them before looking around. She was now beside the dorms, not seeing anyone paying attention. She stood still for a few seconds, letting all of the emotions she had hidden while at the school build up. She hated the Academy. She wasnt sure what she had expected, but she had at least hope it would get her thoughts off her mom- her dad was blaming her for the death- giving her a cold shoulder- so he figured here it would be easier. In stead, se found her mom appearing in her thoughts all the time. Then ahe was too socially awkward- everyone either ignored her or just foind her awkward. So far there were only three or four she had met that she believed didnt think so- and three of those four are a lot younger than her. And then everyone else here is using their powers so openly, and she wont. Of course, the decision was of her own free will, but Ene still felt left out, in a way. Everything put together made her feel just plain alone. She kicked the snow at her feet before yelling, "I hate this place!" Ene felt her face heat up more than it did earlier as she tried to hold in tears before kicking the snow at her feet one more time, just for good measure.

-
Bre and Len
-

Bre turned to the newcomer and smiled, "Hey." She didn't see any reason to reintroduce herself after Sage did it for her. She had seen Seth around campus, before, but had never really talked. "I don't mind you joining the conversation, but it depends on what everyone else thinks," Bre said, keeping her smile ever-present. Len shrugged in response.

Valery Arsov

Bah. The newcomer girl looked nervous, which made Val slightly uneasy-what did she know that she was hiding?-but Drake was recovering well enough. Val moved over and got one of Drake's arms over his shoulder, holding him the old-fashioned way. Besides, getting him in a fireman's carry or straight-up cradling Drake just would've been gay, and lying him down on the ground wouldn't have been doing Drake's pride any favors either.

And then two girls, another guy came up. Val...Val had a feeling about them. Earlier, in the training room, his clairvoyance had warned him of being watched, and while he'd only used it for a split second, he had a vague feeling that these three might be involved somehow. Still, he was sweeping the room as it happened, so it could have been anyone...

But still, showing up just on the heels of Drake being injured, challenging him to a fight? That was what the Americans would call shady as f*ck

"Amimoore? Cripple headmaster's daughter? She does not strike me as type...not to say I do not believe you." Val clutched a handful of snow and pressed it to Drake's chest, cuing for him to hold it himself. "Here. Weighs a little less than a block of ice. Will keep brusing down."

And then, suddenly, Drake perked up. He'd been acting like he'd gotten the sh*t kicked out of him-which Val assumed he had-and he was still acting that way for a couple of seconds until...Val scanned the people who were there. Simplest answer was that the new girls, Vespera and Cassandra and-oh, sh*t, that other one was a guy-were behind this, but there was also the girl standing here when Val got there, and Megan and Amimoore. The only people he could rule out were himself and Drake...and his clairvoyance could make short work of this.

Could.

There were conventional ways of solving mysteries, as Scooby Doo had so wisely taught him.

He still, was attempting to project "Angry Russian" when Cassandra's chemical alterations hit him, and that didn't exactly merge well. "Perhaps it is convenient for me. But it will not be for you." Val, having too many factors weighing on his mind at once, hadn't considered that he was being subjected to the same mind control as Drake was-he merely felt angry, and alive. But he been sober, perhaps he would've questioned Cassandra's strategy. Adrenaline had gotten our species out of bad situations for several millenia-perhaps it was not the best idea to go about triggering its release. Not to mention the human body was in precarious balance-and throwing some of those chemicals out of whack would be an easy way to kill somebody. She was playing with matches in a fireworks factory. But Val didn't know that. Val merely grinned, and poured a little more energy into his power. The diamond dust began rolling by in basketball sized chunks, with the wind making conversation almost impossible. Frost began to form on Valery's beard and Drake certainly wouldn't have much trouble holding that snow to his chest.

"Understand that when I fight in the Arena, we do it with sport. If you try anything under hand, I will not be very happy. C'mon, Drake. We'll go to nurse, if you can walk?"

Arianna Madrigal

"Oh, the piano extraordinaire Jake Valos needs to practice?" Arianna teased, giggling a bit. "I'm just kidding with you, this sounds really good. It bodes well for when we form our band after we leave the Academy, get a contract with some label...The Metahumans. There's all the publicity we need for free, right? But seriously, you sound good, keep on playing." Arianna began humming the tune Jake was playing under his breath, her fingers tapping the beat into the piano. Jake seemed pretty cool, as far as people at the Academy went. And he was pretty cute-so if she could get past the, uh, creepy older sister factor, then who knows what could happen? She didn't think they'd be doing anything today, though-Arianna had never even kissed a guy, and while being at the Academy was certainly life-changing, it wasn't that kind of life-changing. She wouldn't be making out with guys by Day Two-but this place felt different than her old school. When you'd been at school with the same people for thirteen, fourteen years, it was kinda hard to view some of them romantically. But here? She didn't know anybody. And getting to know them was going to be quite fun-so she was keeping an open mind with Jake.

Abraham Gene

The tone of Abe's playing had softened to the volume of a hum as he lifted his head to acknowledge Arianna as she asked her question. Well now, talk about an angel in disguise! Fair and gentle, she seemed, and her voice was soft and easing. Quite the looker too! Her visage of innocence lent to her a cuteness factor rather than that of a sultry and more alluring disposition, but that isn't to say he won't try to flirt with her - he most definitely would. Abraham gave her his most charming smile and leaned back into his chair.

"'ello sweetheart. I'm Abraham - friends call me Abe." He said, finishing off his sentence with a wink. He came off as a pretty friendly person, his gesture at the end perhaps suggesting that they were already friends upon meeting. Regardless, he went back to twiddling the strings of the ukelele at a regular tone. The girl talked about grabbing her violin, revealing that she too had a thing for music and must've been somewhat adept at it if she was confident enough to play with others. The idea of getting a music circle together seemed less of an alien idea. She seemed really interested at first in the guy - who had introduced himself to her as Jake - on the piano and the piano in general. Something he'd have to rectify eventually, of course, can't have people thinking they're above him after all!

"You know how to play guitar, darlin'? If you do, I got one right here! Feel free to use it if you're wanting to play." He offered as he gestured to the large case. Were this some guy and in your normal circumstance, no way in God's good hallowed name would he let any bottom-feeding booger sucker touch any of his instruments. But given that this circumstance involved a pretty girl that knew how to handle an instrument, an exception could be made. Just hopefully she actually knew what she was doing and doesn't break it.

At Jake's introduction, he took a moment to stop his playing and looked over at him. Still looking at the keys? The audacity! Abe ignored it and strummed the ukelele once saying simply, "how's it going?"

Jesse Sutor

Jesse still lays on the bed in his dorm, relaxing his head on his pillow as he thought about the phantoms and his conversation with Lily. It was a lot to suss out in one day, and despite how little he has actually learned about using his abilities, he also felt as if he had learned so much. They had gathered that the accident was the cause of Amimoore's and Jesse's abilities having a bad chemistry. But stumped them is why there would've been a connection in the first place. Her abilities were apparently psychic in nature, so it must've had something to do with that. Telekinesis or things of that nature shouldn't be having that kind of connection. The only other thing he could really think of was telepathy... telepathy. Telepathy!

It meant nothing to him at first, of course, but mulling it over helped it sink in. Now he wasn't quite sure what the metaphysics behind psychic powers were, but he assumed that it must've established a connection somehow - that made sense, a connection would make it easier to read a mind. But there was by no means a physical connection, so it had to be that of a conscious or mental nature. But he had to think of why that would've upset the apparitions somehow. A two way bridge perhaps? No, that didn't make sense - but it did, but... ugh this is confusing. There had to have been some kind of two way bridge otherwise the apparitions couldn't have harmed the both of them. Uh, wait what? The apparitions harmed the both of them and it was a two way bridge. How did they do that? In fact, what could they do? Is there any proof or evidence of some kind of ability to connect? Well there was that one time in the gym. Jesse's eyes widened at the realization. By God, they spoke to me. It was more than just that though, it was through the mind - mental communication! That would explain how Amimoore got hurt. They had mental abilities and... they were psionic...

Those... things - not ghosts, ghosts can't do what these things can - they were more like aliens. They're conscious. They could speak to him mentally, apparently see the real world as proven by their description of Abe in the training rooms, and they could apparently sense Amimoore and the connection she made. So... they retaliated. I was in the crossfire. Everything was starting to make more sense to Jesse as he thought about it. Despite his fear of them, all of this connecting the dots led him to new discoveries about himself, only increasing his curiosity's appetite. So the apparitions were defending him, like how bees defend a hive. But he wasn't the hive. They were around regardless of him. They didn't exist solely to him, they were able to hurt Amimoore after all. Did they consider him one of them? His thoughts were sidetracked backed to Amimoore as he realized what she had done. Why was she trying to probe him? His distrust of her had only increased.

He'll deal with Amimoore later. He had to figure something else out first. Jesse relaxed his body and settled in his pillow as he concentrated. Can you hear me?

There was only silence.

Can you hear me?

The air was still, and again there was only silence.

...can you he--

"YES." Moaned a hollow voice. Turning his head, Jesse found the grim faceless expression of what he longed thought to be his tormentor.

Arianna Madrigal

"Nice to meet ya, Abe." Abe certainly seemed nice enough, kinda warm and friendly. She knew the school wasn't going to be full of nice people-heck, Gabe was proof enough of that-but so far, most people seemed pretty welcoming. In a rare moment of clarity, the usually idealistic Arianna figured that in the outside world, most people had to endure some pretty heavy discrimination for their powers. It only made sense for them to hang tight here, but she wondered what kind of a them vs. us mentality that fostered. Arianna had never had to endure any real harassment for her gifts-firstly, her parents were rich, which never hurts, and secondly, her gift wasn't anything like turning her skin into steel or breathing fire or something. One would've just thought her an unbelievable musical wunderkind, until she figured out how far her gift stretched. Even then? Most people didn't understand it enough to consider happy-go-lucky Arianna anything but, you know, just that girl who was good at music. "And I will certainly take you up on that offer," she said, sliding down from the piano and flipping open the guitar case. She moved back to the piano, hopping back up on the bulky instrument while she hummed to herself, tuning the guitar for a moment. She began to strum out the beat to Abe's song while humming along to the music Jake was playing, looking perfectly at ease. She paused only to roll up the sleeves of her sweatshirt-revealing tanned forearms that hadn't seen a day of work in their lives-and resumed playing. "So, where are you guys from?" she asked. Arianna had heard one guy with a Russian accent the previous night, so she didn't know how much of the Academy was from overseas or the good old Estados Unidos.

Drake Deltori Blackmore.

True Night wrote:
"I wouldn't dream of having an uneven match. Find a partner, or I'll take you on alone." She turned to Valery. "It might be convenient that you happened by."

"I heard the scuffle, and it's not my intention to fight you with a handicap. Go get patched up and take care of your other business. We'll be at the arena for a few hours, don't disappoint."

The very second Val pushed a block of ice to Drake's chest, he grabbed on to it with both arms and pressed it lightly against his chest, where the bruises where. It gave him a bit of relief, since it hurt like hell. He let out a quiet, "Thanks" towards Val, as the ice helped with his wounds a bit more. Almost forgetting the scene with Vespera and Cassandra. But then he was quickly reminded, as he looked at her. Drake shrugged, and looked Vespera dead in the eye. He didn't know what her intentions exactly were, but he knew that she was up to something. Just from the way they acted and spoke, he knew there were up to something. They rush out here conveniently after he nearly gets attacked. Like they were trying to take advantage of the circumstances. Then he starts feeling odd...

"Very, well, then, I'll just fight you in a one on one... It'll be my first fight in the area, I'd hate to share it with a team." Drake says quickly.

Right now, all Drake wanted to do was leave the scene with Val. Without Vespera, Cassandra, or that guy in the back (Don't think that no one saw you) anywhere near him. "I'll be going now. I guess I'll see you all in the fields of glory...." Drake says as he quickly left the scene, with Val nearby and the block of ice still pressed up against his chest. He was going extra fast. Because the scene with Vespera was really starting to irritate him.

After a bit of walking, they were at the entrance to the dorms. Immediately, Drake took a very good look around. He looked at the roof, the corners, and all places for someone to dip into or hide. He was making sure that he was alone with Val - Well, relatively alone. There were people walking by, but they had zero interest in two guys talking, even if one seemed to be interested. After getting the all clear, Drake says to Val "Ugh, those girls give me the creep. I don't like them." He was comfortable sharing this information with Val, as well as Abe. There was that part of him saying that he should call off their arena fight, but the rest of him was demanding that he's there to beat them.

"And Ami didn't strike me as the type, either... But ever since what happened yesterday..." Drake looked away, clenching his bruised chest again. Just thinking about what happened brought a sort of phantom pain. He let out a sigh. "... Let's just say she keeps proving me more and more wrong." He says in a blank tone. Drake has had it to here with some of the girls here already, and it's barely been longer than his first day. "Anyways, I don't really need a nurse, I can wing it."

Sage Lucas Pimm, & Gabriela Mya Valos.

True Night wrote:
"If I'm not intruding, may I join you? There's no need to stop the conversation."

While Sage wasn't exactly the best in social situations; they definitely were able to figure out that, like Len and Bre, he listened in on their conversation and wanted in. It took a little thinking about it in order for Sage to get the courage ask Seth to come along. Well, students weren't allowed to go to the ruins (For some reason), and Seth was a known teacher's pet. It was all a matter of turning Seth down, or telling him and he either does nothing, comes along, or rats them out. They had to hope that Seth would be reasonable about all of this. "Sure, we're talking about a little... Trip. To the ruins. If you want... You can come. If you'd like."

Hm. After thinking about it, there is a way for Gabe to exit this conversation without any future aggravation, because she was just starting to get really uncomfortable. "Ah, guess I'll go out and, you know, grab my brothers, and all that." She pushed back in her chair, and stood straight up, a sarcastic smile on her face. "Ta-ta." She said, pretty sarcastic, as she walked away. Disappearing into the crowds of people. She wouldn't have a problem with finding Jake, since as far as she could tell, he was playing the piano - Chatting up that chick they met during training. She needed to find Jaska. Where ever he is - But he's not hard to find when she knew where to look. Hopefully when she does find him, nobody would have been killed. Gabe made her way out of the lounge, and onto the snowy plains of the 218. She paused for a moment, rubbing her hands together to keep them warm, then quickly started walking around. Looking for Jaska. But he was no where in sight.

I should keep a better eye on ya', Jaska. We'd all have a bad time if it turned out you transformed...

Jake Vin Valos.

Shade wrote:
"Oh, the piano extraordinaire Jake Valos needs to practice?" Arianna teased, giggling a bit. "I'm just kidding with you, this sounds really good. It bodes well for when we form our band after we leave the Academy, get a contract with some label...The Metahumans. There's all the publicity we need for free, right? But seriously, you sound good, keep on playing."

An amused smile crept up on Jake's face as he laughed a bit. He found her teasing to be humorous to say the least. Which really helped him loosen up around her. He knew that he liked her already - But wasn't in any rush to get her as his girlfriend. He did find the idea of a band composed entirely of Meta-humans. Maybe after he gets some skill that are something special; then he'd consider that. But, with his rich background, getting a label wouldn't be that hard. Just he needs a bit of fine tuning. "Thanks. I'll go on just for you." Jake says when Arianna stopped talking.

Lieo wrote:
"You know how to play guitar, darlin'? If you do, I got one right here! Feel free to use it if you're wanting to play."

Not a word came out of Jake's mouth as he watched Abe offer up and ukulele and Arianna walked up and grabbed it. He knew that Abe was only trying to get into Arianna's pants. Because why else would he offer up his ukulele to a complete stranger? Then again, Jake had the very same goals himself. He watched as she started strumming on it like an expert - Since he was half-expecting her to play it wrong, and end up looking silly. But she was replicating the song that - To say the least; it really made Jake stop playing his instruments and watch for a moment. He had assumed that she was a prodigy, or some really damn good music lessons. Either way it only made her all the more interesting.  "So, how many instruments do you play anyway?" At this point, Jake was really hoping that Abe wouldn't do anything to interrupt what he has going with her.

But then Jake realized that he wasn't playing the piano for a notable amount of time. He quickly picked up the pace again, picking up exactly where he left off.

"So, where are you guys from?

Once again, Jake found himself stopping yet again. This was a question that'd be hard to answer without revealing his wealthy (In case the suit didn't give it away) roots. Mostly because he's alternated between living in America and Brazil. Actually, after thinking about it; he didn't exactly have to say that he was rich. "Well..." Jake says starting off, "I came from this special little town called Black Fall, and I've lived in Brazil for a few years. Though, before you all get the idea, I'm still as American as everyone else."

Jaska D. Valos, Amimoore B. Dellamorte, & Carmen 'Lily' Santo.

After the rather uncomfortable (Because of his hesitancy) assessment period; Jaska had found himself wandering the academy grounds without any supervision. Regrettably changed out of the training-suit; he was wearing a different kind of suit. The new suit that he was bought by his family and coated with rabbit blood the very same day. Jake had (mostly) washed it, it still had the conspicuous red stain here and there. Anyway, Jaska was on the edge of the education building, on all fours, like an animal. Which wasn't too wrong of an assumption. He watched the school, as it passed by, his vision much better than most, so he can easily see people, and detect movement, at a distance. During his watchful guard, he spotted something: Amimoore, that annoying chick from last night that was screaming. She was running from something; he could easily tell. Her pacing and body language gave away that something was making her distraught. But from what? His predator instincts kicked in as he leaned in forward, looking curious. His instincts were telling him that she was scared prey - Easy picking for an adept predator. He felt the hard to resist urge to pursue her - Though, he had enough willpower to resist trying to kill her. Jaska's skin changed color to match the environment, a camouflage, except the only problem would be the fact that he's wearing clothes. Turning invisible wasn't that effective if anyone who looked in his direction saw a floating suit. He didn't really care. But, it gave him a small degree of stealth. Jaska climbed down from the building, moving slowly, digging his dense claws into the concrete of the walls. He moved slowly enough that his body could adapt to the surroundings fast enough, and remain camouflaged.

Unbeknownst of Jaska's stalking, Amimoore quickly made her way through the school grounds, to - Well, anywhere. She felt like a terrible human being after what happened with Drake. Disgraced. No. She wanted to be the one to take her father's place here and run it better - But she'd never reach those dreams, pulling off things like that and attacking people. Curse that Jesse. Changing her for the worse. Either way Amimoore rushed through the school grounds, until her legs got tired. She stopped, and looked around. She realized that she was by the library building, which was far enough away from the lake. Amimoore also saw a familiar face by a bench, reading a book: Lily.

The day went by, and suddenly was much better now that Lily was out of these horrible training suits. Because getting out of those things made her realize how great her life is. After changing her attire back to her previous one; Lily went to the library. She didn't want to head to the student lounge today, instead she wanted to see what else this place had to offer. The library had so many books, she just couldn't believe it. She had grabbed a book by Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None. She was reading the book outside, on a bench, since, well, this place was more scenic than any city could be. So that was a plus plus. However, she was caught off guard when someone just sat down in the bench next to her. Lily slowly, and hesitantly turned her head to the newcomer and saw that it was Amimoore.

"Hey, Lily." Amimoore says, trying to keep a blank face on, she was guilty deep down since she's turned one of her friends into an enemy. She thought that she could redeem herself with Lily. "What are you... doing?" Ami asks.

It appeared that Amimoore and Lily have worse situational awareness than what Jaska anticipated. He spied on both Amimoore and Lily, mounting himself on top of the library building they were closest to. His enhanced hearing made it easy for him to listen in on their conversation without issue. For a moment, he thought about how easy it would be for him to catch them off guard if he just attacked. One would be dead before she got a chance to scream - No... Just leave them alone. Jaska tried to resist the thoughts. Thinking of other, pleasant things. It was his instinct seeping his thoughts again. Well, I haven't hunted anything for awhile...

Lily closed the book and answered; "Fine. Fine. Just seeing everything else this school has." A brief silence followed the answer. "So, how are you holding up?"

"Fine." She answered. But Amimoore knew that she's the opposite of fine. She was still disturbed from last night. But she couldn't help but ask Lily: "What were you talking to that boy about from last night?" She saw Lily talking to Jesse throughout the training session, and she was curious as to why. Even if she stepped over a boundary or two.

It was certainly a question that was odd. It made her a bit uncomfortable, but she certainly was going to answer the question. "You know, about stuff..." She thought of the conversation that she had with. "We just met, and he's actually a pretty good guy...." Lily looked away for a moment. She felt like Amimoore was going to ask about what happened last night. "Look, what happened was an accident. No one was trying to hurt you. It was just a negative reaction between both of your powers." Lily pleaded with Amimoore, trying to convince her that everything that happened wasn't bad.

"Oh?" Amimoore said skeptical, "And you know this how?" She was unsure of if this was a lie or not. Because even she didn't know of what happened. While she was much more hesitant to read minds now, she was considering taking this risk. Just to find out. She dug into Lily's head for the answers, all using her telepathy. She felt relieved, nothing out of the ordinary happened this time. Plus, she was getting information. Only for it to abruptly cut off.

Lily perfectly understood what Amimoore was doing. She had detected that Ami was using her telepathy on her - And she wasn't having it. She cut off Ami's telepathy before she could get anything, or at least hoped. At this point, Lily grabbed her book and let out a quick, "I have to go." Before getting up and trying to walk off with haste. Now immensely uncomfortable with Amimoore. Because she feared her thoughts being invaded.

However, Amimoore said something that quickly made Lily stop in her tracks, and turn around; "I know what you can really do, Santo..." Amimoore had gotten a glimpse at Lily's powers, and knew that it was quite interesting. She had started up again, with reading Lily's thoughts to get even more information on her power. "You can control powers, and super-charge people, and you've hurt people in the past. Which is why you're afraid of it." Then Amimoore got closer to Lily, "... Why you're here."

Hearing this news that her greatest fear has been realized; Lily had once choice: beg. "... Please, I'm begging you; don't tell anyone. You don't know what trouble it's gotten me into...It'll all repeat itself...." Tears were coming down from Lily's eyes as she begged, from the bottom of her heart. She was reminded of the tragedy that she came here to escape from. She was certain that there was at least one person that'd take advantage of a power like hers.

"Your secret is mine... Just let me..." Amimoore says, as she grabbed on to Lily's arm. She started sapping the psychic energy out of Lily, through their clothes. Purple energy came out of Lily's arm, and promptly disappeared into Amimoore's body. This was a refreshing feast. With Lily standing there awkwardly, feeling taken advantage of. Minutes past as Amimoore sucked out more and more of Lily's psychic energy...

That is, until Lily was sucked dry and there was nothing left to leech. Which meant that Amimoore had nothing left to get from Lily. She quickly made her exit. Heading towards the dorms. With Lily left standing there, shocked.

Don't tell anyone... The voice appeared in Lily's head.

Now Jaska was properly distracted by his predatory urges. He watched the whole thing, and it was like a big scary blackmail scene like he'd see on TV. His opinion of Amimoore soured greatly at this point. In his eyes; she went from a whiny brat, to a manipulative b*tch. He heard the entire conversation down to the very last words. He now knew of Lily's power, what kind of person Amimoore really is, and more. Jaska quickly made his exit, pushing off the ledge of the building on all fours, with all his strength. Outstretching his wings, and strongly flapping them, giving him flight. All before Lily noticed him.

He had to tell someone what happened.

Spoiler:

Eli and Ariella

"Eia ergo, advocata nostra, illos tuos misericordes oculos ad nos converte. Et Iesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui, nobis post hoc exsilium ost-"

"Hello?" Eli snapped awake, his eyes immediately assaulted by the frosted fluorescent lights hanging from the ceiling. He groaned loudly and rose his left arm to shade his eyes from the light. He realized as he did this that he was wearing a hospital gown and sat bolt upright, his head spinning with vertigo. He looked around the room, blinking hardly to shield his eyes from the sunlight, and realized that he was in the hospital.

"Were you speaking Latin in your sleep?" Eli heard a voice say. He turned his head to the left and saw the most beautiful girl he had ever seen standing next to his bed.  She was a tall, attractive woman with a slender hourglass figure and long, well-defined legs. She had fair skin, white as snow and dappled with freckles like drops of liquid sunlight. Her auburn hair was of incredible length, and was kept neatly in a tight french braid that cascaded down her back like an amber waterfall. A pair of black skinny jeans clung tightly to her sensual legs, and keeping her upper body warm was a sand-colored drawstring jacket with a slight bulge in the right pocket. Wrapped around her neck was a cream-colored silk scarf, an essential part of her wardrobe that was almost perpetually wrapped around her neck, even on the warmest of days. She gently drummed her canary yellow fingernails on the side of his bed and stared at him with a warm, friendly smile. Realizing that he was staring, Eli shook his head and responded to her question.

"Um...yes, I, um, think so." He replied shakily "I often tend to do that."

"Oh that's cool." Ariella responded "That was the Salve Regina, right?"

"Um, I think so. I'm sorry but have we...met before?" Eli was certain that he had seen her somewhere, and the thought was grating on his mind. He couldn't come up with it though, so he asked.

"No, actually." Ariella replied, the same look of Deja vu on her face "I just happened to pass through and I noticed that you were speaking latin. I like latin. It's the only thing scientists and priests can agree on." Both of them laughed at this, though Eli was still sketchy of this new girl. He had never seen her before and yet she felt so...familiar. "Wow, you're on a ton of painkillers." She said, looking at his chart sitting next to the bed. Eli looked around at his body and saw that his right forearm was wrapped up tightly with gauze. In a few other spots he could feel this as well, and he remembered what had happened: Remiel, the stare, Leila. Oh God, Leila! he thought to himself I could have killed her! Eli looked around frantically and saw that Leila was in a bed across the hall from him, unconscious still. She looked hurt, and panic struck his face. He suddenly felt the delicate hand of Ariella resting on his shoulder, and a wave of calm swept over him.

"Oh my, you're hurt quite badly." she said "Let me fix that." The next few moments could only be described by Eli as total ecstasy. He closed his eyes and sighed as he felt a wave of calmness overtake his being. All of the burns from the backfired penance stare healed and his nose, broken and filled with gauze, healed properly. The tightly-packed gauze fell out as if pulled magically and landed on the white sheets of his bed. His shoulders relaxed and he fell backwards, feeling at peace with the universe. Ariella took her hands off of him and grabbed his arm, taking out the IVs and immediately healing up the holes. He plucked the ECG devices from his chest and stood up with the help of Ariella.

"Thank you." he said "That was amazing."

"The fact that I'm this hot or the fact that I healed you?" She mused.

"Um, both." Ariella laughed like a schoolgirl, and Eli turned towards the cupboard next to his bed. Then a thought popped into his head.

"Could you heal the girl over there as well?" he asked, pointing in Leila's direction "I accidentally hurt her earlier and I feel absolutely terrible about it."

"I'd love to." Ariella said, turning towards Leila's bed. She walked off and Eli found his clothing in the cupboard. He walked into a bathroom in the hallway of beds and began to change into his own clothes. He peeled off the medicated bandages on his burns now that they were healed, and sighed. That was a nice girl.

Ariella, meanwhile, found herself standing over Leila. She was still asleep, and Ariella placed her hands on her shoulders. Though she hadn't told Eli, she had seen the whole episode at the power training area. Somehow, though, she understood what had happened to him. His anger had gotten out of hand and somehow some sort of fallen angel had possessed him, causing him to hurt her. Ariella could be very merciful and was full of understanding at times. She forgave Eli with ease, but she wasn't so sure that Leila would.

"It's okay, Leila." Ariella said, looking at the chart sitting at Leila's bedside table for her name "I'm healing you. Just stand still and relax, okay? Everything's going to be alright." Ariella closed her eyes and began to heal Leila.

Neal and Titus

Neal found himself in the lounge, sitting in a reclining chair next to a pirate girl and an androgynous angel. Neal knew Sage from previous years, though they were barely acquaintances, and understood what him/her's power was. They had similar abilities, both being able to construct things out of energy, though they had really talked only once in Neal's memory. He watched as the two of them seemed to run an impromptu recruiting drive to go to the ruins. The ruins were a place that Neal had heard a lot about in his four years at the academy, but he had never been there. For some reason he had never found a reason, and so he had never been. The mutants who were joining them seemed to be interesting people, and so Neal decided that he would ask to help out himself. He rose from his chair and took a few steps to where Gabe and Sage's slowly crowd of people was.

"Hey Sage." he said rather shakily "What's up?" Titus, meanwhile, was watching the boy with the power to build a house talking to a very pretty brunette and a large black man who appeared as if he could pick a fight in an empty room. Titus was extremely bored; he didn't really know anyone else here, and meeting a guy who could make a house appear out of nowhere would not only be amusing, but interesting as well. His power absolutely could not just be the ability to make houses drop out of the sky. Intrigued equally by the house-man and the pretty brunette, Titus decided to approach the group of three. He towered over them (though he was just barely taller than Abe) and decided to introduce himself.

"Well hello there." he said as he approached the group "You're the guy who made a house appear in the middle of the arena earlier, right?"

Jasmine

Jasmine opened the doors to the cafe, bringing with her a frigid gust of air and a flurry of snow. Her coat blew in the wind as she approached the counter and bought herself an orange scone and a vanilla latte. She obtained her snack from a male worker that seemed a tad bit too friendly (breath of an alcoholic, teeth of a smoker and right sleeve of an internet porn addict. Prime scum of society right here ) and walked over to a booth where Ray and Rush were sitting. She sat the coffee and scone on the table and sat down across from them, folding her arms on the table and sighing loudly.

"I hate having to deal with normal people." she huffed "They're so boring. It's like swimming in a bowl of goldfish. Is having more geniuses and sociopaths really too much to ask for?" She kept a spot saved for one more person, as she had texted Mel inviting her to lunch.

"Anyways, I've invited a top associate of mine to assist us." Jasmine continued "She can be trusted, and he power will be very useful to our cause."

Bre and Len
-

The two both feeling of relief when Gabe stepped ou for a sec- both felt the disdain the girl had towards them. And then another person approached.

Bre felt happy to see another person- even if he was talking to Sage. She smiled at him, always happy to have more people around. "Hey," was alls she said- mostly to make her presence known. If all these people go, there will be quite a group going to the ruins. Just like how on horror movies everyone goes in and is slowly picked off, one after another.

Len felt more annoyed than please. Just how many people were going here? It was eventually going to be more like a field trip than a small group going.

-
Kynan and Jaylin
-

The twins had finished their friendly game of basketball and were stepping out of the gym. The two had matching black jackets over their shirts and were now wearing black basketball pants as they walked along, talking in their minds.

Okay, Kynan. We need to go find Ami, now.

For the record, I won the game.

It was a tie, as always.

I still won.

Anyways, we need to find her and cheer her up.

Alright- wait! Is that Jaska flying?

Jaylin ran ahead of Kynan, almost tripping on the fresh layer of snow as he ran in the direction he saw Jaska in. Both of the boys could tell he seemed panicked.

"Yo- Jask!" Jaylin began with calling, cupping his hands around his mouth to try to focus his voice in Jaska's direction. His breath was visible in te frosty air. Kynan walked up next to Jaylin and called, as well, taking a more empathetic approach. "Hey- Jaska? You okay!?"

Leila Gabrielle Septim

"If your hands stay on me for a moment more, you're going to be in need of his painkillers."

Leila opened both of her eyes-perhaps the distinction would go unnoticed by the colorblind, but her normally green eyes were red before she blinked. With hardly a grunt of effort, Leila reached over to her left arm with her right and ripped the IVs out of her arm-which, one might wonder, didn't exactly seem right, because the IVs with anesthesia were still dripping. Heat began radiating off her body, enough to be uncomfortably warm near her. The girl's skin was flushed and red, but Leila somehow seemed more physically imposing. She hadn't put on a hundred pounds of muscle since she'd been put into the infirmary-no, aside from the heat spike, her body was exactly the same-but there was something beyond that. Perhaps it was the faint red lines that began dancing up and down her arms and neck, like embers beneath a layer of ash, or perhaps the way that after that initial blink, her eyes hadn't fluttered once, but Leila certainly didn't seem to be acting her usual rattled self.

Leila pressed her right hand to the open wound on her arm; there was a brief sizzling sound and the nauseating scent of burning flesh, and she pulled her hand away to realize a small cauterized spot on her arm. She balled her left fist and the same process repeated with the finger prick wound. Leila sat upright and slid off to the other side of the bed, landing and cracking her neck to one side and then the other.

"I've been 'healed' once today. I don't feel quite up to another session."

Leila stood up and inhaled deeply for a second, her posture wavering just a bit. She seemed very tentatively on the edge of absolute fury and total calm-it was the kind of anger that was completely livid, but willing to wait half a century to get its revenge. In other words, the dangerous kind of anger.

Excellent, Leila. Now leave. Find some real clothes, lest Asmodeus try and usurp you.

If he tries, I'll break him.

Indeed you will.

There were only two voices in Leila's skull, one resounding and deep, the other Leila's. She began walking to the hospital doors, reaching back behind her and untying the gown. It slid her off but Leila didn't seem to notice, walking towards the place where they stored ones personal items. One of the nurses came over, perhaps to suggest Leila put the gown back on and find a changing room, but Leila simply turned up and looked at her as she approached. There was a moment or two of silence and the nurse, judging from the now more prominent demonic tattoos lacing their way across Leila's flesh, decided perhaps she should go on break. Leila began putting on her clothes, paying no heed to Ariella or Eli. They were of no importance. Really, no one in the Academy was. Eli was only significant in that he had raised his hand against her-and if he was truly empowered by the Lord, it was something of a wake-up call for Leila.

Only fools swore allegiance to the kind of God that condoned that. And as Lucifer and Amon had whispered while she slept, Leila Septim was no fool.

Valery Arsov

Val merely nodded his head at Drake's thanks; it was what you did for friends. No thanks was needed. Val didn't say anything as Drake altered the challenge to one on one fight-it was Drake's decision. He would, however, be intervening if they decided to try something outside of the rules-this whole situation seemed very suspicious to Valery, and he didn't think the arena fight was a good idea at all. The normally slowpoke Val kept pace with Drake as they walked out of the arena, and Val had to suppress a smirk at his friend's intelligence. You walk fast for an injured man, my friend. Perhaps we were getting the enemy's guard down? You will make a very good teammate, I think.

Drake began glancing around, looking for eavesdroppers, and Val raised a hand to stop him. He didn't like doing this often, but something was definitely up. Removing his eyepatch, and pointedly avoiding looking at Drake, Val quickly sweeped the room. "...no one hiding." Val closed both of his eyes as he put the leather eyepatch back on, making the bluish-silvery mist retract back inside the socket. "Yes. They give me creeps too. Not that I do not think we could..." Val paused, realizing how convoluted a sentence he just made. "We could kick ass, yes. But I feel like they are types who would show up when we are weak. If you could arrange an arena fight outdoors, I could ensure nothing goes awry. In this weather? They would freeze solid before they could land a punch." Val began to let the ice that had crystallized on his shoulders and arms melt, but thought better of it and the drops of water instead became snow, making a thin layer of snow gather around Val's shoes. "Ami. Headmaster's daughter...I avoid on general principle. But things definitely seem strange, yes? Even for a school of freaks. Do not let me stop you-if you need nurse, you need nurse. Although..." Val paused, glancing back around. "I do not like to enforce stereotypes...but let us just say that I have some more old-fashioned medicine in my dorm." Val mimicked throwing back a shot. "But we can save that for celebration after you win that fight. We should definitely keep eye on them-everyone who was there." Val reached up and stroked his beard for a moment, thinking things through, which he didn't usually do. "Yeah. Some sh*t is up. Perhaps it will...hit the fan?" he raised an eyebrow, seeking confirmation from Drake. "soon. I think that is the expression."

Arianna Madrigal

"Oh, you're too sweet," Arianna said, winking at Jake as he offered to continue playing for her. He wasn't bad-she was, of course, better, but that would be a really arrogant thing to say. It was always weird for her talking to music kids, because, biologically, she was just superior. She tried to not be annoying about it, not playing and stuff unless people asked her, because she didn't want to look like a show-off. But, then again, part of her did. Part of everybody did. "How many instruments? Oh. Well, uh," Arianna hesitated a second, not wanting to look like a know-it-all. "Um, well, with my power...sort of...all of them? My favorite's the violin though. Or just singing." Arianna tried to segue back into the next topic of conversation, not wanting to look like "that guy". She adjusted the hair in her ponytail, stopping playing for a moment, as she listened to where Jake was from. Oooh? Brazil? Land of swimsuits and painful waxing? She could dig that. They spoke...Portuguese? Yeah, not Spanish, Portuguese. "That's crazy, I've always wanted to live abroad. I'm from Seattle, but I spent most of my time at this boarding school in California. Where is Black Fall? The name sounds familiar..."

Then this huge motherf*cker came walking up. Hmm...he would probably be...the drummer? Although, Arianna wondered, if this guy (who Sounded like war drums)'s power wasn't super strength, it might as well be. Looked like he could...she couldn't think of any analogies for what this guy could do. Just strong. Real strong. Arianna wasn't one to suspect darker motives-she was the sort who would walk off on her own at night in the bad part of town, not because she was that confident, just that naive-but guys that were that much bigger and stronger than her made her feel a little uneasy. Was that bad? He was probably a nice guy. Probably. Still, she sidled slightly closer to Jake, although unless Jake could throw up one hell of an illusion, she didn't think his chances were much better in a fistfight against the Hulk. "Thanks for letting me borrow this, by the way," she said to Abe, strumming on the guitar to ease her thoughts. Arianna, paying attention to the Symphony around her, almost began playing it on the guitar but abruptly stopped herself, making a slightly awkward pause. That would verge into the aspect of her powers she wasn't fully aware of, not entirely in control of. Hitting every note, never missing a beat, that was one thing. Singing along to the cosmos was another, an aspect she was okay not discovering for a while longer.

Vespera, Cassandra, and Vance

Vespera narrowed her gaze. There weren't many ways to cheat, even if she wanted to. "Where'd that come from Val?" She chided. "I'm not one for foul play." This was casually tossed out there, she wasn't going to put much effort into lying to them. Though in this case it happened to be true. Playing the odds was different than cheating. At Drake's shift to a duel, she loosened up a little. It wasn't ideal, but she still had her match. "Come together, or alone. Makes no difference to me." Vespera called after them as they departed.

The three of them then took of towards the arena. A little practice beforehand never hurt. Assuming that Kate met up with them eventually. Otherwise she'd be worse for wear, which would put her in a bad mood.

Vance was a little disappointed that it didn't look like he'd get in on the action. At first he wouldn't have minded, but now he was along for nothing. There's still the chance that he'll change his mind, and I can still watch him get beat. Or Vespera... He shoved all doubts from his mind and followed along.

Cassandra knew they'd need Kate, so she sent her a text. If she was busy, or refused to help out Vespera, this could end badly.

Seth

Seth sensed Sage's unease, and he wanted to put that to rest as soon as possible. "Count me in." Even if he felt that the trip was potentially risky for others, it wasn't for him. Then there was also a hunger inside him that told him to check it out. He craved knowledge, and the ruins were new territory. They were mysteriously abandoned, and he wanted to know why. Plain and simple. The staff skirted around the question, or they didn't know, so this was the only thing left. This was exactly the kind of thing he needed to get the new year off to a good start.

Kate

Kate hated cleaning tables, but she needed to do something to at minimum keep her cell service. At that moment she felt the familiar vibration against her side. There weren't many people around, so she snuck a glance. It was Cassandra asking her to meet at the arena, no doubt to help them recover from training before a duel. She sent back a single letter, k, and went back to work. Her body leaned out over the table farther than necessary, for the benefit of those secretly watching, the guy from the counter among them.

Jasmine let in some wind when she entered, so she took advantage of it to raise up her red skirt, briefly revealing white panties. It wasn't really enough to ruffle her clothes, but several of the customers were happy to believe so. She quickly pulled it back down and blushed deeply. All part of the act. A favorite model of hers by the same name says that the idea is to make them think that ogling her is the most innocent thing in world. Of course she wasn't getting paid, she just liked the attention.

The two guys seated with Jasmine weren't taken by her display, she aimed to fix that if possible. Kate walked over to the three already formulating a white lie. "I didn't get around to wiping the table, I hope it isn't too dirty." She was looking to see if any of there eyes lingered on her breasts longer than it took to read the Cafe 218 across her tight fitting T. More than once she had thought that Seth could have come up with something a bit more original.

Abraham Gene

"No problem, sweetheart." Abe smiled as he readjusted himself in his seat. He stopped his playing for a moment and listened to Arianna as she introduced herself. Good old California eh? He personally never been there, since he never had reason to. There were vacations to New York and the Keys in Florida, but that was it. Brazil though was a different story, and it didn't show in Jake very well. He sounded as American as any other, so there had to be some testament to his ability to learn a language - lest he was raised in the States for most of his life. But how rude! He had forgotten to share his own hometown. "I'm from Boston, by the way."

He watched as a rather large guy walked up to the three and asked Jake a question - about propping up a small house during warm-up. Abe rolled  his eyes and strummed his instrument just the one time and sized up the newcomer. He was big - and bulky - larger than even himself. And by the looks of him, no older than Abe. So his size and muscles must've had to do with his power, made sense. He looked pretty stiff though. Sure, he was probably pretty strong, but he doubted that the guy could keep up with him in the training rooms. Hell, his size alone piqued Abe's curiosity. It'd be quite the scene to conquer the big guy, might cause a stir! He couldn't help but chuckle to himself thinking such a thing, fiddling with his ukelele.

So anyways, Arianna had musical gifts. Any instrument? Sing? Hell, that sounded good. So he was in the right mind to lend her his guitar in the first place. Cherry wood Ovation, that wasn't something you'd easily give up despite its worn sides. But did natural talent translate to experience? Surely she's played, since here she was, but there had to be some things she hasn't seen or tried before. She'd likely pick up on them pretty well anyway though. There has been this style he's been working on, something that he learned from a friend of his... the girl would probably make good use of it. "So Ari." He said, his eyebrows raised in suggestion. "Let me show you something with that - you'd probably get a hang of it."

Abe strummed the ukelele a couple times, and his hand came off the strings and slapped its side. It at first sounded nothing special, but he followed it up with a couple taps. He did it once more and it came together quite nicely actually, combining the strings of the instrument with percussion, simultaneously creating a rhythm and beat. It was different from traditional percussive guitar in that you actually utilized the instrument's chamber to improvise a wood sounding drum - the catch was that you had to be incredibly active with your hands to keep the pace. Abe kept his pace slower and steadier though, as to let Arianna get a feel for the style. Though honestly? He hadn't done it with the ukelele, and its smaller size made it a little harder and was of a higher pitch than the guitar Arianna was holding. He also hasn't heard two instruments performing the style at the same time either, so he was actually pretty eager to hear the girl try it out and see what effect it makes.

Jake Vin Valos.

Maxx wrote:
"Well hello there." he said as he approached the group "You're the guy who made a house appear in the middle of the arena earlier, right?"

Again, Jake stopped his piano recital and turned to Titus. Though he was irritated that he was interrupted again. He looked at the giant man that had approached, and knew that he had plenty of strength in the physical department. Which was something that Jake didn't have - But, he had guessed it was because of Titus's power why he was so large. Unlike Arianna, Jake showed little fear, because Titus didn't give him a reason to be afraid. In fact, in case they did fight, Jake was counting on Titus having just strength, and no extra senses. Because in a fight, Jake will make all five senses absolutely useless. "Yeah. That was my illusion." He said illusion stylishly, and to give a blatant hint of his power. He was comfortable telling people his power because he would never use it without good reason. "My name's Jake Valos, yours?" He said politely.

Ah. That makes sense. Jake thought to himself. That explains why she's so good with instruments - It's her gift, not some talent. His interest in her didn't fade one bit. Though he was a bit disappointed that it wasn't some sort of talent. Nothing that he won't get over. "Heh. How about I get you a label? You can be a one ma-woman band. Singer, drummer, guitarist; all rolled into one!" He teased Arianna in a similar way that she did earlier.

Shade wrote:

He smirked again. Finally deciding to start playing the piano again. Hoping that nobody else would interrupt. "Living in Brazil was great-" Long as it was a vacation."-The people, the food, the beaches! All so appealing." Then he decided to take a small tiny risk. He spoke in Portuguese, "... Talvez que eu posso te levar lá um dia." He said to her, hoping that Arianna somehow knowing different languages didn't come with her powerset. Though, Jake didn't worry about the other two. Because they just didn't look like the types that'd know such a language. Jake answers Arianna's question "Yeah, Black Fall is the big city in Pennsylvania where most of the meta-humans in the world are. They called it something... Black Fall... The City of freaks - Yeah, that's what they called it."

Then, Jake realized that he was pretty much ignoring the other two guys; and paying attention to Arianna.

With these people here; something was set off inside of Jake. He felt a bit of urgency, because of these two males that had approached. He knew that now is the time to make his move on Arianna. Because if he didn't, they will. And that wouldn't be a desirable outcome, now would it? "So, Ari," Jake started off, using the nickname that Abe gave her, "Want to go get some coffee at the cafe? On me." Money wouldn't be a problem. The worse that could go wrong is her saying no - Wait, no. These two could get a bit aggressive.

But what kind of girl would throw herself at two meat heads that only want sex? Jake hoped that this girl had a little bit of self respect. At least her good looks and lady parts aren't the only thing that appeals Jake.

Sage Lucas Pimm.

"Hey Sage." he said rather shakily "What's up?"

Once again another person that Sage sorta knew had approached. Neal Ecclestone. They knew each other's powers were a bit similar in one regard, and talked from time to time; but that was the extent of their relation. Though, Sage had no problem with trying to get to know Neal better, and asking him to come along was seemingly the best way. "Hello, Neal. We're going on a little trip to the ruins? Do you want to come?" But, at this point they were getting uncomfortable being around so many people. Particularly because they weren't a fan of being in the center of attention. Which was because of their own shyness. They would have to get used to this if they wanted to bring everyone along. But, a little urging wouldn't really hurt. Just to get people moving. "So, we should all get ready, you know? Let's meet outside the main gates in a like ten minutes, alright?" That was more than enough for Sage to mentally prepare themselves. Closing the distance was easy enough for the agile Sage. Because they were mostly uncomfortable because of all the people coming all the sudden.

Once again Jaska's enhanced hearing has allowed him to hear Jaylin and Kynan. He quickly turned his head towards them, and then spotted exactly where they were. He turned his flight path in a curve fashion. He turned around, and started flying towards the twin. Descending more and more as he got closer to them. Until he touched down with a skid across the cold snow. "Guys! Guys! Guys!" He said to them. Jaska quickly folded his wings and wrapped his tail around his waist. "It's that weird screaming chick with one leg! She just, uh, uh, uh, blackmailed the other girl with purple hair."

""I hate having to deal with normal people." she huffed "They're so boring. It's like swimming in a bowl of goldfish. Is having more geniuses and sociopaths really too much to ask for?" She kept a spot saved for one more person, as she had texted Mel inviting her to lunch.

"Anyways, I've invited a top associate of mine to assist us." Jasmine continued "She can be trusted, and he power will be very useful to our cause.

A sarcastic smirk crept up on Ray's face at Jasmine's first comment. He had dealt with some crazy people in the past. Though it was nothing that he wants to do on a daily. Then that smirk turned blank as he raised an eyebrow. He was curious about this top agent... Maybe Jasmine and her friend have a similar relationship to Ray and Rush. Where they're business partners, and longtime friends. Still, he was curious. He'd judge if she was trust worthy or not once they meet. "Hmph, yeah, I'd like to know a bit about your associate before she shows up here. Just a few thinks we should know..." Ray says.

"Good. Hope you are correct. In regards to trustworthiness." Rush spoke, quickly and mechanically. He wanted to meet Jasmine's friend, and was a bit more enthusiastic about it then Ray was. He wanted to brief his associate on the plan so far. He would explain everything to Mel when she first shows up. "Now, our first order of operations is-" Rush immediately cut himself off when Kate suddenly started cleaning their table.

Now, it's an understatement when it's said that she came to the wrong males with the intentions she had in mind. With Rush being strictly asexual and aromantic, and Ray being heavily resistant to female charms and beauty. Rush just kept his eyes forward and let Kate do her thing. Mildly annoyed that she just interrupted them like that.

Ray was more irritated than anything. He gave glances to Rush, then Jasmine, then looked at the table. This table's not that dirty. What do you really want? At this point, Ray knew something was up. He figured that she was spying on them, and got closer to see what they're really talking about. "It's fine," Ray says, starting off, "It's not that dirty." Ray says, his voice obviously betrayed how annoyed he was. He knew that Kate was up up something, what exactly was the question. Regardless, he was in a rush to get rid of her so they can continue their business.

Drake Deltori Blackmore.

Perhaps it will...hit the fan?" he raised an eyebrow, seeking confirmation from Drake. "soon. I think that is the expression."

For once, Drake was willing to take Val's old man wisdom to heart. He especially had the feeling in his gut that this school wasn't so amazing. He knew that there were wolves in the shadows. Waiting for anyone to slip up so they'd make easy prey. Well, Drake was nothing like easy prey, but he knew that there'd be someone waiting to kick him while he's done. "Yeah... It'll definitely hit something..." He ignored Val's  comment about celebration, because throwing alcohol into the mix probably won't improve the situation. "But, yeah, you don't have to worry about me; just a bruise." He has gotten worse bruises before in the past, so this is just a tiny little poke to him. "I have to go get a good old talk down from our teacher Megan. See ya." Drake says to Val, as he started walking off towards the Education Building. Hoping that he'd find Megan in the building with ease. But he paused for a moment. "Let's meet in the lounge in a few... Hopefully. Don't get into any trouble without me." He said to Val with a smile.

Drake Deltori Blackmore, & Megan Emma Jervious.

Spoiler:

After some searching through the education wing, Drake finally found the art room. It was a medium sized room with various paintings, sculptures, and other works of art. There were some that were products of people using their powers. There were four tables set up in the center of the room, spaced out from each other and have chairs pushed up into them. On the other side of the room from the entrance; there was the teacher's desk. And who sits at it; Megan.

Drake quickly walked up to her, rather annoyed from before, he scratched the back of his head. "You wanted me?"

"Yes, yes, I did, Mr. Blackmore," Megan starts off, with a warm, near-sarcastic smile on her face. She got up off the desk, and took a few steps towards Drake. "That was quite the show you put on there. Hate for word to get out that you nearly got into a death match with the headmaster's daughter." She spoke in a tone like it was amusing to her, and she had a smile on her face.

A bored sigh came out of Drake's mouth, "Yeah, yeah, punish me all you want. She started that one." He furled his eyebrows and gave Megan a narrow glare.

"Ah, that's what a lot of boys in here say." Megan says in response, "The girl is always the problem."

"Whatever." Drake says, "Am I actually in trouble?"

"Nope. But I would be more concerned with the headmaster. He has control over the school, you know. He might call an assassination on you-" Megan says, until Drake cut her off.

"... Look, with all due respect; I'm not in the mood to play games. If there's nothing serious for you to tell me; then I'm going to leave, alright?" Drake snarls, getting closer to Megan and looking her down. It was quite disrespectful, but he didn't care.

Megan wasn't very amused by Drake's attitude. She looked away from him, "You speak to me like I'm your equal, it won't get you very far..." As she spoke she quickly poked Drake's forehead to push him off, gesturing him to get away from her. Of course, touching him was apart of another scheme.

Immediately upon getting touched; it triggered a transformation in Drake. His skin quickly changed to a silver, fleshy, liquid texture. Then he quickly melted into a silver puddle. His entire body was seemingly dissolved. He was nothing more than a formless mess on the ground, with his clothes floating on top of it. There was a twitching here and there - Otherwise, he didn't move an inch.

Suddenly Megan's demeanor changed to a mixture of curiosity and enthusiasm. Totally uncaring to the fact that one of her students just melted on to the floor. "Ah, so it's true!" She started off, "I knew you had that special power!"

In a moment or two, the mass quickly gathered together and made another form. The thick liquid quickly took the shape of his body, then his skin color and original textures returned. He did this by shifting out of his current form, and back into his human form. Which is elementary at this point. Drake was just lying down on the floor, since that was the position he was in when he transformed. Thankfully his clothes were where they should be. Except they weren't exactly on. Drake stood straight up and gave Megan a narrow glare. "Not. F*cking. Cool." He hissed. His fists had exploded into burning hot plasma. "What the hell is your power anyway? Turning into sh*t-sludge?"

"Shapeshifting, darling.... Shapeshifting" Megan says, sitting down on her desk with her legs crossed, and her eyes focused on Drake. "I can become anyone and, anything, I can think of."

Alright, Drake was certainly interested in such a power. He always wanted a power that'd allow him to change shapes, and to balance him out a bit. He already had most of his offensive needs covered with his plasma-form, maybe such a power wouldn't be too bad. Drake balled his fist up and observed it for a moment. He selectively transformed his arm into his fresh shape-shifting form. His arm turned into a liquid similar to the one that his whole body turned into. His hand appeared to be liquid, but didn't drip down on the ground or anything. It sagged downwards. He focused hard on keeping it still.

"Truthfully; I called you here because I wanted to see your real power." Megan starts off, "Since you already seem to be an adept with your current powers - I thought that I'd give you something new to practice. Because, I'd be out of a job if there was no one to train."

Drake's eyes turned to Megan. "So how exactly do I use your power...?" He asked.

"A very easy technique, now that I'm a master. But I can pass it to you." Megan says to Drake, "Simply concentrate on what body part you want to alter, envision yourself as it, then boom. Before you know it, you'll have made the first steps to shape-shifting."

"Alright..." Drake says, as he closed his eyes and did as Megan said. It was just like the first day he discovered his powers. He turned into electricity and absolutely lost his sh*t. It took him a while to realize how to change back and forth. He focused harder and harder, eventually feeling his hand change. His hand turned into a sharp serrated blade. "Heh, well, what do ya' know?" His hand turned back to normal just as fast.

"Ah, me? It took me ages, darling, ages; to figure that out. I was sliding around like a pile of sludge for months before I figured it out. Now that you have it... Maybe it'll take you less time to figure out everything you can do."

"What can you really do?" Drake asks.

"But, that's something for you to figure out yourself. Hahaha.... I suggest that you practice with your shape shifting by maintaining a current form." Megan says,

By suggestion, Drake decided to transform again. He turned into a similar puddle to before quickly, and laid dormant on the ground. After a few moments of inactivity, Drake, as a puddle, started forming again. From bottom to top, he shape-shifted. After some time; his transformation was complete. He shape-shifted into himself - An exact replication of his appearance, since there's no one who knows their body better than Drake. He took a slow and stiff step forward, like he was going to fall over. This new form felt strange and different. He looked like himself, but truly felt like something else.

"Interesting... You learn fast! Now, keep like that; and you'll keep your current form like a natural." Megan starts off, "Now, that is all, my darling. Class is dismissed!" She coyly waved goodbye to Drake.

While there were many more questions Drake had to ask, he figured that he wouldn't get the answers from her now. He left, the way he walked was off because of this new form. Usually he walks with confident and takes large steps. After a short, and odd walk, he made it outside the education wing. He stopped for a moment, and hung his head. "What an odd woman..." He whispered to himself before looking up at the sky. Now Drake had a brand new form. A form that he would surely find use for and master. Which is how he got a good grasp on his plasma form. Though, he didn't know how it could be used in a fight - So he didn't know if it'd be of any use in his fight against Vespera.

Drake started walking towards the dorms to meet Val.

After Megan was sure that Drake was gone; she said to herself, "... Of course; not everything's as it appears to be, Mr. Blackmore. When it matters the most; you will realize that."

Ene
-

Ene stood in the snow for several minutes until she decided it would be best to go inside or else she would probably get frost bite from standing still in the cold so long. Her eyes were puffy as she stepped inside the student lounge, glancing around. She saw Jake and Arianna with some other people- she wasn't interested in talking to anyone, right now. The presence of others, though, was what she wanted.  So she had chosen to come to the student lounge and just sit. Just to be around other people. Ene walked to a corner to the room and sat down, her eyes darting around the room.

She saw the Sage person from earlier with some other people. She wondered what the girl with sunglasses had for a power that made her have to wear them. Who was that muscular-looking guy with Arianna and Jake? He made her a bit nervous.

Ene's eyes continued looking around the room, examining different people before she finally just looked at her feet, listening to different people talk.

"So, we should all get ready, you know? Let's meet outside the main gates in a like ten minutes, alright?"

Bre smiled, "Ten minutes? Alrighty- I'm gonna go to my dorm really quickly and get some stuff."

Len was not sure what sort of stuff Bre would need- there wasn't much you would need for something like this. Cell phone and flashlight. That was all he could think of. Len sighed as Bre walked out of the room and headed towards her dorm. He looked at the people left in the small group. "See you guys in ten minutes," was all he said before walking out of the room, as well. He was just going to walk around until it was time to leave.

Kynan and Jaylin
-

The twins held the same expression of shock on their faces as Jaska told them the situation. A girl that has been screaming yesterday and only has one leg... Amimoore? "Amimoore blackmailed?" Jaylin asked, as if he couldn't believe the situation (since he really couldn't).

Kynan tried to think more rationally, though he was just as shocked as his brother. Maybe it was a musunderstanding? "Hey, Jask, can you explain exactly what you saw?" He paused and looked around nervously. "We might want to find a place in private to talk though."

Kynan- Amimoore couldn't have blackmailed someone, right? She's too nice!

I don't know. I don't know anything about her and neither do you. We don't know what could have happened to her during her screaming attack.

Whatever it was hurt, but it can't cause someone to act like this, right?

People cope with things in different ways.

I know, but... But....

We can discuss this with Jaska.

Okay.

Mina
-

Mina yawned, sipping at a cup of coffee as she looked around Café 218. She was wearing a large black coat with a hot pink long-sleeved shirt under it. Her dark blue skinny jeans fit just right on her and she wore a pair of black and pink High-tops. Her silver headphones were over her ears, but she wasn't listening to music. Mina was just pretending to- she was listening to the conversations. The day had been so boring. All the classes had simple lessons- as always. The only ones she didn't fall asleep in were math and science, since those were the only two classes that didn't seem so simple to her. As for training- she even fell asleep in there. Yes, she had found a nice cozy corner in there, curled up, and fell asleep. At least, her body was asleep. Her thoughts and soul, however, weren't. Mina had been going around school finding things out while she was asleep.

A girl named Bre could make people cease movement for several seconds by making eye contact. A boy named Len can manipulate pain. A pair of twins can read minds and merge together. There had been several other interesting people she had listened to and watched display their powers. Drake, Arianna, Jake, and Sage. Those four seemed interesting to her. But everyone she had seen seemed too... Annoying. Everyone is annoying, though. There are a few interesting people out there, but even they are annoying.

Mina watched some people walk into the café. She rolled her eyes as a waitress- Kate, is what she believed her name was- gave different perverts a little show, acting innocent while it was really quite clea on what the motive to her actions were. She wanted guys to look- probably for attention. And she attempted to "entertain" two guys at a table near hers- she recognized one of them as Rush, a computer nerd. Probably has to do with his power. The two had none of it as the waiters tried to get them to look at her chest- at least that's what Mina figured she was trying to do. At least these two guys were descent enough to not go along with her in appropriate actions. She yawned before speaking up, voice annoyed and speaking mostly to the waitress.

"What we have here is a hooker with no sense of decency trying to get attention. You need to realize this is a cafe, not a place for closet pervs to get a free peek."

Vespera, Cassandra, and Vance

Now that Kate was on board they were in the clear to go all out during practice. They swung by the lockers where the suits were kept, then continued on to the proving grounds. Once suited up Vespera informed the acting staff member that she was going to have a casual duel with Vance. The two of the entered the arena and took their places. To Vespera it was as serious as any other battle, the result might not go on the records, but she was always looking to assert her dominance. Vance wasn't as concerned with the outcome, however playing easy wouldn't help his friend any. He would do his best, even if she was a psychotic b*tch at times.

Kate

Kate concluded that the two guys were fiercely loyal, uninterested in women, or discussing something important. It was clear that they didn't want her around, and she wasn't desperate enough to irritate customers just to have her way. As much as she was stubborn, her employment was more important. She backed off and said "if you say so." Then she quickly added. "My apologies." It was tempting to make the table a little dirtier, but she refrained. That's when one of the female patrons called her out.

It was that girl who was always falling asleep in classes, Mina. Kate barely talked to her because of that fact. People have to be awake to flirt with them. She also wasn't very attractive. Thin lips, bags under her eyes, and nothing in the way feminine charms. Is this chick jealous or what. In her mind she wasn't doing anything wrong. Just doing her thing and not causing any real harm. Of course Mina wasn't the first to feel differently. Being reprimanded for disrupting class, or even hitting on teachers was a common occurrence. Now was the time to defend herself without letting her temper get the better of her. If it did she would lose her innocent vibe, and possibly her job.

"Of course this is a cafe sweetie. I don't choose the uniforms, and I'm certainly not responsible for the wind outside." While remaining cool on the outside, she looked for a way to get back at flat chested sleepyhead. Then she found what she was looking for. Kate was going to make her regret pretending to listen to music. All of a sudden her headphones came to life and started blaring her music at an unbearable volume. That would have to do, she couldn't sense anything else she could use.

"Actually it was quite obvious that you had just used the wind as an excuse. Really people likely are so annoying in those ways- trying to continuously get attention and when someone points you out because of it you get mad." It was then that her headphones came on and began playing music really loud. Mina jumped a bit in reply before calmly sliding off her headphones, listening to the music blaring out. "Like I said- you get angry. I guess that was your small attempt for payback. Keep going on revealing your power- you have no idea what I can do so it gives me an advantage," Mina stretched a bit. "But thank you for playing this song- it's one of my favorites." With that, Mina did something most people would be unable to do at such a point in time. She laid her head down on the table and fell asleep, music still playing through her headphones. Her skin hardened and became like a rock's, and it was then that Mina found herself standing right beside herself.

Well, Mina's soul was standing right beside her physical form, that is. There wasn't really anything different in their appearances- soul form just couldn't be seen by anyone except those who can see things like ghosts or demons. And her soul form was wide awake, unlike her physical form. Mina stretched, talking to no one since no one could probably hear her. "Ah- it's good to be wide awake again!" She glanced at Kate and smirked as she walked past Kate and turned around, arms crossed with a smirk still present on her face. "Don't harm my physical form. I'll be watching." Mina then looked around the café, trying to find out where to sit, now. Ah,yes.

Mina's spirit form slid into the booth with Jasmine, Ray, and Rush, briefly saying, "hey guys- what's up?" Before turning to watch herself, listening to the trio's conversation while she watched.

Ray Judah Drager, & Dexter 'Rush' Chertok.

Only a sigh of annoyance came out of Ray's mouth, with him rolling his eyes up into his head under those sunglasses. He was quite irritated, since this other girl came out of no where right when they were getting rid of the waitress and called her out for no reason other than to stick her nose in their business. Which did nothing other than annoy Ray, and keep the waitress around a bit longer. However, his irritation was directed at Mina for starting this in the first place. He looked at Mina and narrowed his eyes, speaking to her in an annoyed tone, "Look, sweet-heart... Thanks for your two cents, but that was unnecessary." Ray used sweet-heart sarcastically. He was not amused.

While Rush was a bit annoyed that they were interrupted, just not that annoyed. He recognized Mina a little bit. He knew that she was the slacker that always fell asleep in class. Though they haven't interacted much, because Rush isn't too much of a social person. Mina's actions didn't do anything to improve Rush's opinion of her. Illogical. No purpose in confronting waitress. Attracted attention to us. Were doing fine. He thought to himself as he watched the scene. He wasn't going to say anything.

Then there was a small altercation (If it could be called that) between Mina and Kate. Ray noticed that Kate had made the music unbearably loud. Sound Manipulation? He noted to himself. He was going to step in if things got taken too far. Then Mina just fell asleep on a table... What? It was unexpected as hell to fall asleep in an argument. Especially when her little enemy can do so many things to her while unconscious. Ray rolled his eyes up into his head and said; "What a weirdo." Seeing that the scene was over with, it was time that everyone leaves. "Now, we were having a private conversation, before you all interrupted. Can everyone just... Leave us be?" His gaze was directed at Kate, then Mina.

Jaska Din Valos.

"Alright, alright...." Jaska said, finally calming himself down. His ears twitched as he looked around. He took in a deep sniff of air. Just to make sure that nobody was nearby. Which would be hard, since his enhanced senses were good enough to pick up people easily after they get close enough (The snow made it easier). He redirected his gaze back on Jaylin and Kynan. "Alright, I was following around Aimoore," Jaska had horribly mispronounced her name, because he was excited and hasn't encountered a name like that before. "Then she met another girl with purple hair, then they were talking, then Ami revealed the other girl's power and then did this weird this to the purple haired girl where she sucked this stuff outta her and then left!" Jaska spoke quickly with excitement in his voice, it would have been hard to understand him. He quickly looked around again. If he so much had seen Amimoore, then he would have bolted then and there without Kynan and Jaylin. "That's all I saw, you gotta believe me."
