There was a room full of a large assortment of computer equipment. Wires from various devices were spread across the floor. The wall farthest from the entrance to the room had several computer monitors that had been lined up. Each monitor had a person’s face on it; most of the people on them were between 13 and 25 years old. All of the pictures had at the bottom of them written in bright red letters, “deceased”. In front of the monitors was a large metal apparatus of some sort that looked like a large metal desk with various buttons, switches, and lights built into it, along with a keyboard in the very center.
A young woman of slim physique who seemed to be around 23 years of age tapped away at the keyboard, her perfectly manicured nails darting from one key to another at remarkable speed. Her hair was strait, holding a light blond color and had been cut to cover her right eye and went a few inches past her shoulders. There was an unusual atmosphere about her, as the gleam in the woman’s eyes seemed to be that of a mad-man’s (or in this case, mad-woman) and there was a constant grin on her face that would make one think of her as a complete sociopath. Of course, such a statement would be close to the truth. Her clothing consisted of a pair of plain, faded boot-cut jeans, a black tank top, and a white lab coat. Many would have found the garb simple and normal to see in today’s society- maybe the outfit choice of a doctor who had an emergency and had to rush to the hospital on their day off- if it weren’t for the blood stains that were appeared in various places on the lab coat. The most unnerving thing about the blood stains that riddled the white garment is that many of the stains seemed to be from different times- some stains were almost impossible to make out as time and worn them to almost oblivion, and some of the blood stains seemed almost as fresh as last month.
The woman wearing such attire was none other than Ran Clarkson, a no-name in the government and every-day society. In fact, no one probably even knows of her existence. She paused from typing to look up at the computer screens. “My, my, so many interesting contestants,” her voice came out clear and strong. It even seemed to hold an intelligence of some sorts in it, despite its holder’s looks. She was looking from one deceased character to another. So many had been the ideal contestants and yet still lost. She smirked. At this rate, none of them will have a chance against her. There was a young girl who seemed about 15 years of age with a dark blue sweatshirt on. Her picture was one among the several deceased. Ah, yes. Ran had quite a bit of trouble finding her. She kept resetting. Eventually, though, Ran realized that the girl never went anywhere without the blue sweatshirt, no matter what form she was in. Several innocent people in blue hoodies may have gone missing, true, but she caught her eventually. The girl threw her own cube right down the river before getting shot in the head... tragic. The cube was never found, so that made the searching Ran had done for the girl pointless. There was a picture of a boy of about 19 years. He was a smart one. He found out about Ran- he even found out about the items she had. He didn’t know of her goals, though, when he demanded for everyone to forget him. She granted his wish, of course. The boy also became invisible, though. Not to mention the fact that she eventually caught him despite this fact and so his face was among that of the deceased. Ran continued grinning, observing her handiwork before standing up from the black rolling chair she had been sitting in and heading out of the room and into a hallway that was lacking in colors aside from white. Its architectural design is comparable to that of a hospital’s.
Ran passed several doors in the long hallway before finding the one that was her destination and swinging the door open. Inside the room were several small cubes- each one small enough to fit easily into one’s palm. Each cube was the same color- a metallic, silver sheen that reflected the light. The only difference in each cube was that on each cube was someone’s name. The name of whoever originally had the item. There was no exact name for the cubes, but Ran had found a name she thought fitting for the cubes. Mechanical Gods. The items that could give any normal human being a power of some sort. Ran smirked, grabbing a random cube (her own cube, to be exact) before heading out. In the hallway stood another person. It was an African American man of about 25 years of age who was in a lab coat, as well. The rest of his wardrobe clashed with the lab coat, as under it he wore a business suit that was a charcoal black color. The man’s head was shaved and his face was expressionless, making Ran’s expression seem all the more wild and his own seem all the more emotionless. This man, as you’ll discover later, is also a cube holder.
“Are you ready to go?” he asked, his voice calm and collected. “Of course I am, Klark. There is one city in particular we are going to for our next, ah, victims,” Ran grinned. The man, whom you now know of as Klark, cracked a small smile that seemed cold and vicious. While only a small smile, the smile Klark gave seemed just as malevolent as Ran’s wild grin. “You know when this is over I have to kill you, as well, right?” he asked. “We’ll see who kills who,” Ran smirked back as she led the way. Her studies showed that in the city of Kellinsville there were several holders of the mechanical gods. Let’s see if they’re ready for her. . . . Okay, so welcome to the roleplay, “Mechanical Gods” created by the one and only Celo. Okay, so first let me clarify a few things before getting to the character sheets and such. You will probably need to read these before deciding if you should join, as they may explain some rules for the roleplay.
- The Mechanical Gods - Okay, so each character in this rp (Aside from a few side characters I’ll probably add for the roleplay’s convenience or if I give you special permission) will be a holder of a cube that looks like the ones described earlier. Each of these cubes gives the owner a special power or ability. The place these cubes came from is unknown. Each cube only grants one power. No more, and -of course- no less. These cubes are indestructible, but the holders of these items aren’t. Also, whoever owns the cube, the power the cube gives them will not work unless they are with the cube- whether it’s in their pockets, in their hand, in their shoe, it doesn’t matter as long as the cube is with them. As soon as the cube loses contact with the person’s body, the person loses their special power granted by the cube. However, to make this all a bit more interesting (and so that no one can cheat by having their character put their cube in a safe or something) the longer and farther a person is away from their cube, the weaker they feel. Why? Each cube is somehow connected to the original holder’s life force. If they are away from the cube very long or too far away from the cube, then they begin losing their life force and slowly but surely die if they aren’t brought in contact with their cube soon.
By the time the rp takes place, the characters should have had their cubes for about 3 years or less. They will not know where the cubes came from- for some of the characters they may have just found the cube lying there with their name on it and a note explaining it to them, others may have had a dream explaining the cube and woken up with the cube in their lap. The possibility is up to you.
Note- as stated earlier, the cubes are indestructible. There is no possible way for the cube to run out of power, but people can still grow tired from overusing their power, just like in any superpower rp. Please remember this is to prevent g-modding and metagaming.
- The Setting - Kellinsville- This is the city where the story will be taking place. It has the types of businesses and places you would see at any small city: a mall, parks, restaurants, a handful of proprietorships, etc. It has a high school and middle school that has about 200-someodd students in each grade. The rp is based on the present with normal, everyday technology. The time will be about a week after the schools have closed for the summer. (First of June, in other words) - Rules - -First and foremost there is a rule for the OOC. Whenever people send in character sheets, me and Dragonbud (the co-GM) will decide if the character sheet is acceptable. It’s okay to suggest ways to improve, but don’t be a rude critic and judge the sheet, say it’s stupid or anything like that. If you behave in such a way, I may give you a warning the first time but will not permit it the second time.
-Please keep things PG-13 rated or less. Please bleep out cuss words with a few *’s. I’ll allow a few cuss words that aren’t bleeped out, but please don’t do that constantly without putting in at least one *.
-Please don’t have your characters be able to do a crazy stunt not related to their power. What I mean is don’t do something like, “Then Bob by some crazy chance realized Timmy was lying and even though he was only 13 was able to do a ninja-kick and sent Timmy flying into the wall even though his super power is a super brain” you get what I mean. No overpowering your characters.
-basically, no metagaming or g-modding
-Keep in mind that the characters in this rp are normal people (mostly ages 13-25). There will be no one who owns some huge arsenal of guns. The best you could ask for is maybe one or two hunting guns since the family’s family goes hunting or something. And, to make sure you’re reading the rules right now, be sure to include the words, “oppressing the natural” somewhere in your post. (Don’t ask where I got that statement, I just made it up because it sounded cool XP)
-It would be appreciated if the posts in this rp are at least a paragraph long least a paragraph long. (4-5 sentences)
-at the moment, there are no restrictions for the amount of characters you can make. It can be anywhere from 1-100.
-There may be a few characters created that the rules make exceptions for (such as Ran) please keep in mind these exceptions will be for the sake of the rp, to keep it rolling. No complaining on these, okay? ;3

Appearance: Ran has quite an unusual appearance. Her hair is a bleach blonde color to the point where it’s almost white. It is styled with bangs that cover up her right eye and extends a few inches past her shoulders. It is usually down unless the situation calls for her hair to be held up, in which case it would be. Ran has an oval-shaped face and would look normal if it weren’t for the grin she wears almost all the time. Her eyes are a dark blue color that some would consider beautiful if it weren’t for the almost crazy look she constantly holds in her eyes. Her tan skin contrasts her pale-colored hair, giving her the look of one who spends quite a while outside. If it weren’t for her expressions, Ran would probably be considered appealing to some.
Clothing-wise, Ran’s style of clothing just depends on what the situation calls for. Whenever she is at the base she studies the cubes of the deceased at, she wears a pair of faded jeans, a tank top, stained lab coat, and some sandals. The lab coat, stained with blood, is a mystery. She has never really fought anyone in the garment, yet it still has such stains on it. The reason shall not be revealed until later. Out in public, Ran’s style varies. She has no particular style and will wear anything that society considers “normal”.

Name: Klark Jennings

Appearance: Klark is of muscular build, though it is hard to tell due to the constant business man apparel he wears. His skin is dark due to his African descent, as both his mother and father are from Zimbabwe. He is American, though, as he moved to America and became a citizen. Despite English not being his main language, he speaks it fluently and no foreign accent is noticed in his voice. His head is shaved bald and Klark prefers it to stay completely shaved. His face usually holds no emotion whatsoever. Basically, Klark looks like he belongs on some “Men in Black” or secret agent movie. Despite the fact that they would fit in perfectly with his attire, Klark doesn’t wear any sunglasses ((Sucks, right?)) revealing his dark brown eyes.

Name: Lance Lowman
Age: 19
Nationality: Chinese/American (his dad is chinese, Mom ‘Merican)
Height: 6’4”
Weight: 142 lbs.
Appearance: Lance has a pale skin color and dark brown hair that appears almost black, receiving most of his looks from his dad. His hair is shaggy, extending about an inch past his ears. It also hangs in his face, but it doesn’t obstruct his view. Lance is of an average build, and isn’t really muscular. His skin has a pale tint to it. Lance’s eyes are a light green color, which is a trait he got from his mom. (just random hereditary statement *derp*)
Clothing wise, Lance dresses rather plainly. A plain striped short-sleeved shirt of some cool hue, usually, combined with some faded plain jeans. He wears steel-toed boots most of the time, his jeans covering them. Lance also every now and then wears a baseball cap with the Patriot’s football (American football, not every other place’s football) sign on it. (Sorry for all the Patriot team haters- I don’t like them that much either, trust me. But my character on the other hand….)
Talents: Lance is an overall average person, so he doesn’t have many talents. He does, however, know how to play the piano well, though it isn’t something that he vaunts about. He isn’t ashamed of the talent, necessarily, but he doesn’t think it’s that big of a deal. For everything else- from school to sports- Lance is just ordinary.
Personality: Lance is a generally quiet person, though he is willing to talk to people when spoken to. It’s not that he’s anti-social; it’s just that he doesn’t really know what to talk about to people. Lance, therefore, spends most of his time observing everything from the sidelines, never really confronting people. However, when approached, he is a nice guy. Most of the time when people try to insult him or do something of the sort, though, he shrugs off the statements.
Mechanical god power: Retaliation. That is the best way to describe Lance’s mechanical god power. Let me clarify this. Think about it like one of Newton’s laws of motion- an object in motion will stay in motion until an equal but opposite force is acted upon it. This is like Lance’s power. Whenever damage is done to him, he can deal the same amount of damage back (but only if he so chooses). Basically, his power takes the saying, “eye for an eye” to a literal stance. It’s basically the like perfect retribution policy.
The way it works is that say someone was to shoot Lance in his left arm. If he chose to, he could use his power to have a bullet mark suddenly appear in the shooter’s own left arm, and he would suddenly feel the exact same pain Lance feels.
Weaknesses: The weakness is easy to figure out- basically, in order to use his power Lance must get hurt. A double-edged sword, in other words. That is a very basic yet major weakness, so I don’t believe I need to state anything else.
Besides the fact that Lance doesn’t like the power, as he finds it to be just plain wrong to seek revenge.
For personality weaknesses, it’s that Lance doesn’t communicate or speak much unless spoken to, as I have already mentioned.
History/bio: Lance grew up in a small town in a random state that was all about agriculture. Therefore, he grew up as a farm boy. Then his dad decided to randomly have a job change and why I’m too laz to think of an excuse, but either way he moved to Kellinsville to work with their local college in the agriculture department. So now Lance lives in Kellinsville as your average middle-class kid who just happens to have a mechanical god cube that gives him a major power that has a huge weakness. He is a beast at oppressing the natural.
Other: Lance’s favorite food is things with cinnamon, his favorite color is dark blue, and his favorite day of the week is Friday. *derp*
Morgyn Layne:
Name: Morgyn Layne
Age: 16
Nationality: Caucasian American
Height: 5’5”
Weight: 105 lbs
Appearance: Morgyn is naturally a brunette, but she has added in blond streaks to her hair. Her hair style is usually a side braid to keep her wavy hair tamed. Morgyn has pale blue eyes, which stand out in contrast to her dark brown-and-blonde-streaked hair. Her skin is pale despite constant time spent outdoors. Morgyn is of average height but is a bit underweight- not to where she seems unhealthy, however- just petite.
Clothing wise, Morgyn usually wears some Nike shorts and a t-shirt that says some school club on it or sport’s team. She is a very athletic person and makes sure that everyone knows it by proudly wearing athletic clothing. Morgyn also wears either flip-flops or some tennis shoes to top off the look. She doesn’t wear accessories besides a few cheap rubber bracelets on her left wrist and a black and pink titanium necklace. As for makeup, Morgyn wears none. She doesn’t carry a purse or bag of any kind-she just keeps everything in her pockets.
Talents: Morgyn is something of an overachiever in school activities. She plays several school sports, from soccer to softball to basketball. For grades, she is an A/B student (mostly B’s) but is in several clubs. Morgyn is also someone who likes to socialize a lot. She enjoys talking and let’s just say her contact list has several people on it.
Personality: Morgyn is (as stated earlier) a person who enjoys socializing. However, she does know when to shut up for talking to someone and who to avoid talking to. She tries to be nice, but she does have a few pet peeves such as when people insult friends. Whenever that is done, she does get angry. Morgyn also finds people who are overconfident annoying, as well (though she doesn’t realize she, herself, is at times)
Mechanical god power: Morgyn’s cube gives her an unusual power. It has to do with controlling attention. With her cube, Morgyn can choose if she wants anyone within a distance of 20 feet to look at her or not. Basically, if she doesn’t want people to look at her, everyone would feel the need to turn away from her. If she wants everyone to be watching her or paying attention to only her, then everyone would suddenly feel the urge to keep their eyes on her. A simple, uncommon power in rps, but it can be quite effective and if used correctly can be very helpful.
Weaknesses: There’s the usual weaknesses the cube holds- the more it’s used, the weaker she feels. Morgyn, like all cube holders, can’t use her power without the cube yet can’t be separated from the cube lest her energy will slowly be drained.
For personality weaknesses, I’ve already mentioned them. She gets angry when people talk about friends and also hates over confident people despite her own overconfidence.
History/bio: Morgyn has lived in Kellinsville her whole life. Like most mechanical god holders, her cube appeared about 3 years ago. She just woke up with it in her lap and a note attached that explained the cube and its power. She thought the note was just a joke and left the cube on her bed. It wasn’t until later when she began to realize how tired and weak she felt after leaving the cube that Morgyn realized something was up. She got the cube back and felt normal again. So then she tried the power the note said the cube would give her and it worked. Morgyn has since then been using the cube every now and then, but very discreetly. She mostly uses it in sports to keep people from noticing her and doing things such as attempting to steal a base in softball, blocking people in basketball, etc.

Appearance: Marcie looks a lot like a normal young girl should look like. She is rather lanky and lacks the aspects that come with age. She is rather muscular despite not participating in too many physical activities. The middle school does require the students to take a gym class, which she excels in. But since it's now summer Marcie does do a bit of exercise, running and lifting, but nothing too intense.
Returning to her mixed look Marcie has traits from both her mother and her father. She had rather dark, round, eyes that always seem to shine with some childish inner light. Her nose and mouth are average shape and size, nothing too exciting, and one of her ears has a little scar on the lobe. Her tanned skin is covered in freckles from spending time outside and scarcely needing to bathe. Her hair is even darker then her eyes, brown on the edge of being black, and it cut rather sloppily and short. Marcie says she trims it to keep it out of her way.
Clothing for Marcie is whatever is close, clean and comfortable. She hates wearing restrictive clothes like pants and long sleeved shirts, preferring the comfort of Capri shorts and tank tops. Shoes and socks are another thing Marcie hates, rarely wearing them if she has the option. However if there is a chance of rain Marcie wears as much clothing as possible to keep the water off of her.
Talents: By most definitions of the word Marcie doesn't have too many talents, since she hasn't had long to develop many. Marcie Isn't half bad in school, only really having trouble in math, she is pretty strong and has good endurance. Marcie isn't too bad at video games, anything from shooting to making a team of awesome fighting monsters, and has a pretty good sized collection of discarded hubcaps. Marcie's favorite talent of hers is her ability to climb. She loves pulling herself up to high places like tree branches and roof tops.
Personality: Marcie has most of the traits of a young girl. Carefree, energetic, rather loyal, friendly and pretty brave. However Marcie is also relatively naive and might believe anything someone older then her tells her. She is also rather shy to tell others about herself, her family and her powers. The only person that she knows knows her powers are her parents.
Mechanical god power: Her cube gave her the power to manipulate earth. This can be anything from dirt and dust to boulders. Obviously, the larger the earth the harder it is to manipulate and the more energy it takes to move it.
Weaknesses: Since she is so young her age, height and general smarts could be considered weaknesses but going with the theme of powers her greatest weakness is water. She hates rain, cannot swim and can't even take baths (lucky for her and everyone else her power prevents her from smelling like anything other then mud and dirt) Marcie has trouble concentrating when she is wet, she'll sputter and try to dry herself off as if the water is burning her.
History/bio: Marcie wasn't born in Kellinsville, she was born somewhere where she can no longer remember and moved to Kellinsville when she was young. Since she can no longer remember her old house she doesn't really care. One scattered memory of her childhood was the day her mother left her and her father. Marcie cannot remember the reason but she can remember what her mother said to her. The quiet and tiny women handed her a necklace with a cube as the main center piece and said to never leave without it on and maybe someday she would discover something new about herself.
And this did happen. Marcie now lives with her gruff looking, but teddy bear acting, father on a large piece of property that now doubles as a car and motorcycle repair shop.

Noah:
Name: Noah Connors
Age: 23
Nationality: Irish American
Height: 6'2½"
Weight: 183 lbs
Appearance: Noah is slightly on the malnourished side, but otherwise is quite average in build. He has long unkempt rust red hair, and a shaggy beard to match. He has keen emerald green eyes, a crooked nose, and a chunk missing from his left ear. One of his top front teeth is gold and several others around his mouth are discolored or missing. A tattered olive green cloak is draped over him at almost all times, his other articles of clothing are in no better shape. The same grimy Metallica T-shirt and a filthy, torn set of jeans. Underneath the cloak a pair of stale leather logging boots can be seen, the front end of the right one has a hole revealing a single hairy big toe.
Talents: His impoverished lifestyle has made Noah an excellent scavenger and pickpocket. Years of being homeless gives him a type of street smarts that can't be taught any other way. The only fresh meat he tastes it what he shoots himself, so he has a little experience with simple guns (bolt action, lever action, single shot and revolver type weapons). Lastly Noah is surprising quick, possesses a wiry strength, and is good at not being noticed.
Personality: Despite his less that stellar life Noah is proud, witty and charming. Well as much as beggar can be. He seeks out those better off than him and try to make small talk, most of the time he doesn't even ask for anything. When the topic of his living condition is breached he just goes right along with it, often times he'll even crack a joke. At the bottom line though he is self interested, and he does have to get by somehow. He is by no means beyond stealing, and very susceptible to bribery. Deep down he actually enjoys being taken on as a conspicuous lookout or subtle hired hand by anyone willing to associate with him. However he rarely has loyalty to anyone but himself and doesn't like putting himself in harms way.
Mechanical god power: Noah has had his cube for a few years now, but not until recently did he discover it had an ability. The reason for this is it reacts with other peoples cubes by disabling them. No mechanical god powers function within a 20 foot radius of the him when he has his cube. This effect is always active, and prevents people outside of his range from effecting anything in his sphere of influence as well. Certain powers that can't be shut off will be reduced. I'll use the real example of May, who would be unable to switch hosts and would grant no benefits while near Noah.
Weaknesses: Noah is unable to turn it off so he also hinders his allies that stand too close. Those with powers that indirectly influence things can still use their powers to harm him. For example, while a telekinesis user can't affect anything within 20 feet of Noah, they could throw an object into his area of effect and it would keep going.
History/bio: He is often seen loitering in front of one of the nicer homes on the outskirts of town. Everything else is CLASSIFIED.
Other: Noah packs a brand new .44 magnum, which he keeps carefully concealed (I have an explanation for this if need be).

Tyrell:
Name: Tyrell Springer
Age: 22
Nationality: African American
Height: 6'7"
Weight: 246 lbs
Appearance: Tyrell is built like a tank. He has broad shoulders, a thick neck and is made of muscle. His strong jaw and stern features give him a don't mess with mess with me look. A lack of hair puts additional emphasis on his large brown eyes, ears, nose and lips. There is some discoloration about his body from birth marks, or more commonly scars. Like many muscular men he chooses to keep his chest and back free of hair. Normal Tyrell will be found wearing a sport jersey, basketball shorts, and tennis shoes. Only the coldest of weather will make him throw on a hoodie.
Talents: Sports is Tyrell's life. Over the years he has participated in wrestling, basketball, boxing and MMA. His rigorous workout routine has him in top physical condition. He is always on his toes and is able to exercise impressive restraint up until the moment fighting starts. After years of practice he is also able to rein himself in all but the most personal situations.
Personality: Despite his outward appearance Tyrell is a kindhearted and soft spoken individual. He speaks when spoken to, but rarely makes any effort to start a conversation. If on the right topic one can keep him talking, but most of the time his responses are short and polite. However once the adrenaline kicks in his demeanor takes a major turn. In his sports he becomes highly competitive and aggressive. Other places he is easily aggravated as his pulse rises. This is the result of his anger management councilor helping him find an outlet. So to sum it up Tyrell's calm the majority of the time, but once the bloods pumping he's ready to kill something. Out of all things that tick him off, nothing gets him there faster than witnessing a crime.

History/bio: After his father was killed in a shooting, Tyrell and his mother moved from the big city to Kellinsville. He had a bad spurt in his teen years, but later mellowed out into a respectable athlete. Now on his own he lives in an apartment and attends Kellinsville community college through a sports scholarship. The majority of his time is spend on a court, in a ring, lifting weights or in a classroom. He is well liked, but primarily hangs out with other upstanding black athletes. Because everyone is so busy this usually only consists of a weekly night out at the bar. Other details will be done IC.

Appearance: Nyx is slender in form and pasty white in complexion. One of most notable feature is her unnatural bubblegum blue hair. She has long bangs on the right side of her face and keeps it in a shoulder length ponytail. Just as unusual are her magenta irises, which is her color of preference for special contacts she wears. Nyx also wears black eye shadow, dark red lipstick, and has blue wavelike inking on her right side of her body. Arguable the second most prominent feature of hers is a prosthetic limb. It is fully a mechanical arm attached to a servo joint at the bicep. She has five mechanical fingers just like an ordinary hand, but doesn't look it'd be useful for delicate work. Covering it's casing is a series of sketches and burn marks. Typical attire for her is a vest with shorts, an arm guards, one legging, combat boots and belts across her chest and waist. Much of her wardrobe has rips and burn marks from less than upstanding activity.
Talents: Nyx is a skilled mechanic from her fathers teachings, and has a knack for other technical work. Since getting her cube an active and dangerous lifestyle has kept her in decent shape. Her stamina is above average, she is quite fast and agile. Jumping and climbing are strong suits of hers. Other than that she is a effective burglar a ruthless fighter, and a quick thinker.
Personality: There's almost never a time Nyx isn't using her hands, even if it's just tinkering something over and over again. She constantly feels the need to be doing something and has been officially diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. The alienation resulting from her condition helped develop a strain of antisocial personality disorder, which results in her having a blatant disregard for others. This is amplified by a grudge for the authority, who ruined her life. Despite her freakish appearance she still attempts social interaction whenever possible, often times she drives people off or is completely ignored. Strangely it doesn't discourage her, most chock it up to wanting attention; others think she's crazy. The latter opinion is reinforced by the fact she can often be found talking to herself.

History/bio: Nyx's mother died in childbirth, so her father was left to bring her up alone. He was a lowly mechanic who lived in the slums district of a large city. When she came of school age it quickly became clear that she wasn't like the other students. Extreme difficulties paying attention and her seeming inability to remain quiet caused her to be removed from the rest of the class. She didn't see many other children and when she did they shunned and picked on her. After a case of violence against a bully in 6th grade that landed the kid in the hospital she was expelled. Her father couldn't afford to move or get transportation to another education facility, so he began to take her with him to the shop.
Unlike her studies, Nyx was a natural at hands on shop work and became capable grease monkey early into her teens. With the extra hand they were able to pay the bills for several years until at age 17, when a rival business shook their world. The small father and daughter business was unable to compete, and things quickly went downhill. After receiving a foreclosure notice her father decided to take drastic measures. One night he told her that they had a out of town client who wanted his car fixed for his return. Nothing seemed too unusual until it was back in the shop and nothing was wrong with it. Instead of repairs he removed the licence plate and began to repaint it. Nyx went along with it knowing very well they were now running a chop shop. This did not last long however, for one stormy day sirens could be heard outside. In a rash decision her father took her by the arm and they sped off in a half painted vehicle. During the high speed chase they were cut off by a police car on a slick section of road. Their car hydroplaned and T-boned the cruiser. The impact killed the officer and her father immediately, and left Nyx trapped inside with a crushed left arm.
At the age of 16 driving crimes are done through the adult court system and the same goes for theft of property worth over a thousand dollars. When she was released from the emergency room she was tried for grand theft auto, and as an accomplice in vehicular manslaughter resulting in the death of a cop. Her sentencing earned her prison for 20 years at minimum, even with the reductions for being a minor. For almost a year she was kept in a private cell, since most prisoners are adult males; during this time she began to exhibit strange behavior. Following an assault on one of the staff members she was given a more thorough psychiatric evaluation and transferred to a mental clinic. Their solution was drugs and a padded cell, and unlike prison there was no time restriction. She might have stayed there for life if not for interference. About three years into her 'treatment' she was given fake pills with a strange cube. It gave her the means to break free and start a new life for herself. One built on vandalism, breaking and entering. Nyx adopted a new look and began moving from place to place least she should be caught again. Now an additional three years have passed and she finds herself with a semi-permanent on the outskirts of Kellinsville.

Appearance: Wolfwood has a bit of a nerd vibe when people look at him. He is a tall and lanky individual. He stands a few inches taller than average male height, and is thin-ish. Wolfwood is a bit pudgy, some may notice that beer-gut he has. Nothing too extreme, he can still walk normally and run if he has to. He has long legs, which make up quite a bit of his height. He is always slouched over, and takes large, but careful, steps whenever he's seen walking. Wolfwood, like many other Valos, is of mixed race. Brazilian and Japanese of course. He has high yellow skin. His skin is coated with moles and plenty of imperfections like scars. He doesn't have too many dramatic scars, or ones that stand out really. He does have a few moles. He has one large black one on his cheekbone, and one on the right side of his forehead. He has a medium sized inverted-rectangle shaped head. Wolfwood has a few tattoos on his being. One on the right side of his chest of a black-inked heart with an arrow through it (With some slight blood) that says "Love and War". He also a tattoo on the side of his neck that says "Cut here" Wolfwood has bulky, squared and well defined facial features. Many say that he looks like a Jewish person. Wolfwood has a very large chin, it is one of the first things people notice about him. He has a small, triangle-shaped, nose, it sticks out a little bit and has a very short bridge. His nostrils are small and triangle shaped as well. Wolfwood's lips are small, he usually has them tucked in. As Wolfwood is part Japanese, his eyes are slanted, and small. He always seems to have a face of perpetual anxiety or boredom. Wolfwood has very curly, ear-length, hair, and has a near afro formed, that he keeps well combed. Wolfwood's hair is jetblack.
Wolfwood doesn't really have a set style. He doesn't dress as spectacularly as the rest of the Valos. He can often be seen in a worn out and tattered black pinstriped suit. This suit doesn't look too good on Wolfwood, but it's his lucky suit. He got lucky in it. Other times he'll just wear anything that fits, and matches. Which is fine for most situations.
Talents: Incredibly quick thinker, can think twenty times faster than anyone else. He knows how to handle a gun quite well. He's also quite charming
Personality: Wolfwood is a calm individual. He always appears to be calm most of the time. The small things never really bother him since he has a high tolerance for such things. Like an annoying person. Wolfwood tends to be the reasonable, mature one. Almost never losing his cool like a little kid, and will usually pick the most logical option when it comes to it. But, he can be quite selfish, and is more than willing to screw someone else over when it comes down to it. When people talk to him, he talks like a cool and level-headed person. Causally telling jokes when the situation calls for it, and acting like a sociable person. Wolfwood acts like a know it all, and is a very quick thinker. He seems to have the ability to quickly tell people things and come up with witty responses to people. He seems to always know everything about people's personality and mindsets. Which can irritate people. When stressed he usually gets irritable and avoids social situations until he cools down.

Appearance: Currently, May is in the shape of a small, metallic cube, which could very easily be mistaken for, say, someone's Mechanical God. This is primarily because she is trapped within her Mechanical God.
Talents:
May is extremely perceptive and, despite her nonsensical ramblings (i.e. damn near everything she says) she's a very smart individual, whose psyche has merely been shaken up a bit by years of isolation, confusion, and several bouts of amnesia. Furthermore, may has an eidetic memory, enabling her to recall information very easily.
Personality:
Ohhhmmiiigggoossshhhh May is extremely talkative and very gossipy. She greatly enjoys being privy to any and all details about any and all things, and enjoys using her exceptional memory and analysis primarily for figuring out why people are dating who they're dating and why so and so dresses that way. Shallow? Perhaps, but every superhero RP needs a ditz, and I'm answering the call. Besides, May's shallow nature masks a very dark and troubled inner personality: she's endured the kind of mental strain that very few psychologists would be prepared to help her with. Orphaned, brutally exposed to her Cube and then leaving her life behind, May learned how her gift worked through a series of trials by fire, a few of which left her with some rather nasty burns. For starters, using May's power creates a bit of a mental strain on her-amnesia is more devastating to her than others, given her nearly flawless memory. It unnerves her to no end to have a blank spot in a pool of information that's otherwise completely full. Furthermore, her social skills have...suffered...and May is the epitome of clingy. This, however, is perhaps justified: having been abandoned, lost, and forgotten significant bits of her past, her insecurities are merited. If exposed to someone, she will latch onto them magnetically, and May's morality is completely dependent on who her newest best (and, rather cruelly, only) friend is: mock the influence of peer pressure all one wants, but three or four years without steady companionship, a series of supernatural events you cannot explain, and the normal, not insignificant stresses of a teenager have left May in need of a good friend. If that good friend wants her to do some not so good things, so be it. Whoever holds her Cube, and by extension her, holds May psychologically and physically.

Heeeere's where we might have some problems. May sorta...diffused into her cube. Currently, her body is chilling in the Kellinsville hospital, life support machines funded by wealthy parents who have not been given any rational explanation of why their daughter went from happy, jubilant, and giggling one day to completely brain dead the next. Her soul is inside her cube-and her cube isn't constrained physically. May's consciousness floats from one object to the next, only able to pass through via physical contact. She is, in short, capable of possessing objects or things, but at the small price of having no body to call her own (she has a body-which is essentially her physical "Cube" at this point), having long since forgotten about her home, parents, and what she looked like. There's some advantages to her ability, however: while possessing physical objects, she has total control over them. Her presence usually amplifies their effects: For example, cars have unusually good gas mileage, smooth braking, and an especially obnoxious honking. Likewise, she can enter living things, and share a body: this, however, is more complex. May can only be given authority over what her host allows her: she can't body-jump into Ran and end the RP's problems right away. However, while in a human body, she offers numerous advantages. Minor metabolic processes can be tweaked, giving her host the same benefits she'd be able to have in a car or another device. Furthermore, the old adage that two heads are better than one still rings true-May doesn't get sleepy or tired (although emotions still affect her), and can keep someone sleepy at the wheel from crashing, recite the answers from the book to someone in a test, or pick up on details her host may have missed. If her host tires of her (which shouldn't take long-she really never shuts up), they can willfully expel her into whatever object is nearest (aside from the floor or something, although her being the source of a haunted house would be kinda cool). Any person who touches her physical form can take her soul into their body, or merely communicate with her as long as there's physical contact. Animals she can possess totally, but they don't make very good company so she normally doesn't.
Weaknesses: No body to call her own, and mental strain ranging from hallucinations to flashbacks to amnesia from overuse of her powers. Given that her cube is now her unconscious, lifeless body, someone pulling the plug would greatly weaken her powers, mostly by killing her. If her physical shell is destroyed, her body will revert back to its Mechanical God form, her real body will be no more, and May's soul will be sucked off into oblivion. Or wherever souls go, I don't feel like debating that now.

May is currently inhabiting a sexy, sexy 1959 Plymouth Fury. In the trunk, there's some various junk that she's had in her prior possessions which she doesn't remember too much about, but she remembers that she once remembered something about them, so they stay with her. Anyone who finds the car-and subsequently, May-gets a free set of wheels, provided you're okay with that. She'll likely transition into a article of clothing or her new host to be more mobile, anyways.

Name: Oliver "Swift" Peth

Nationality: Hawaiian/Native Islander; Caucasian

Appearance: From his height and weight, you might've guessed that Swift (so named for his deceptive quickness, or so he insists, totally not because his first name's Oliver) is built pretty well. He's in damned good shape, which is coincidentally part of his power, but he was not blessed with tall genes. Oliver's going to be looking up to people quite literally for the rest of his life, because no matter what kind of boots he wears, he's still not going to be on eye level with most other guys his age. Oliver, however, has come to terms with that, and makes up for it elsewhere. Well, maybe not the come to terms with part.
Oliver's a handsome fellow, possessing a great body if nothing else. He's rockin' the six pack and has clearly defined muscles if he's wearing a tight t-shirt. Oliver's usually got a smile on his face, and he just radiates energy. Oliver tends to win most people over fairly easily with his happy-go-lucky attitude, good looks, and ability to take a joke fairly well (he's had experience; Oliver didn't really fill out for a while, and so he had to cope with humor until he could cope with his fists). One more inclined to note the darker aspects of his appearance (uh, figuratively) might find some other attributes, however: sometimes, when speaking, he's got a kind of feral hunger in his eyes, particularly when speaking to girls, and he tends to fidget around a lot, like he just can't control himself. His warm brown eyes and perpetually messy brown hair, protruded jawline, and wide, beaming grin, however, are what most people notice, and not the...animalistic...way he tends to move about sometimes (FORESHADOWING IF YOU DIDNT PICK UP ON IT)
Talents:
Oliver's got a good sense of humor and can roll with the punches literally and figuratively. The little guy's one hell of a fist-fighter, a trait gained from his Mechanical God's abilities. He does have some non-supernatural talents, which include the guitar, being a skilled driver, and an excellent swimmer. He's also good at going long stints without sleep and can carry on a conversation with most people.
Personality:
Warm, happy, a bit "alpha", however. Oliver enjoys engaging in friendly competition but doesn't tend to take most things in life seriously: he seems to have channeled most of his ferocity into all of his activities rather than any single one. He commits a seemingly endless enthusiasm towards nearly everything he does, and often annoys people with his hyperactive/OCD work ethic and inability to be tired out (he's the one running around talking when everyone else is trying to sleep at sleepovers). Oliver's the life of the party, however, and can get along well with most people. He's charismatic, but tends to lack a bit in the intellectual categories: Oliver has to struggle for B's and C's in school, and frankly doesn't see the point of high school. His goal is to get into an okay college with an athletic scholarship, marry the hottest girl there, and then do something fun for the rest of his life, but he has absolutely no idea what. Still, however, with tactical forethought like that, he can't possibly fail.
Oliver's got an interesting sense of morality, in that it seems to be more relationship based than ethically based. In other words, Oliver watches out for his friends, and would consider betrayal of such a relationship a far more grievous crime than stealing or arson. He's empathetic, but often doesn't think through situations, and as a result he can jump to conclusions when it comes to judging others-particularly if they've wronged one of his closer friends. However, Oliver is too laidback to hold grudges for long, and you have to seriously, constantly annoy him to get him perpetually angry at someone. Oliver takes life in perspective, but unfortunately some would accurately call his rather Zen outlook on relationships and the future as mere laziness.
Mechanical god power:
Oliver "Swift" Peth has a...spirit animal of sorts. Were he in the Othergrounds, he'd be an animal meta: here, however, the power manifests more subtly. Oliver does not have fur (and, despite the inaccuracies with his chosen animal, he does have retractable claws) or whiskers, but he possesses the traits of a mongoose. Strange choice, I know, but I think it'll be fun. Essentially, this manifests in several ways. Firstly, just as a mongoose is immune to a cobra's venom, so does Oliver possess an incredible resistance to foreign substances. This applies primarily to toxins and tranquilizers, but also allows him to drink anyone else under the table. Secondly, it gives him the fighting spirit, foolhardy confidence, and energy needed to look any challenger dead in the eyes and snarl, "F*ck off". This may not sound like much, but it's nearly impossible to truly dampen Oliver's morale: even when he's terrified, Oliver mirrors his spirit animal in that he can't be broken until you physically render him unable to keep going. He's a fighter. Thirdly, it grants him the feral speed and intensity of the mongoose: in fist-fights, Oliver makes up for a lack of technique with total and complete ferocity: he's floored multiple people in fights before simply because he doesn't bother registering when someone sucker-punches him in the face, and he overwhelms his enemies with blows. Finally, Oliver possesses keener senses, excellent agility, and the ability to retract fangs and claws for when he needs to om nom nom on somebody. The latter is rather painful, so he doesn't like to do it very often. The claws, not eating people.
Weaknesses:
Feisty. Not to mention the mongoose has a great many things, but it doesn't have the strength of most other animals. Oliver's strong, mostly from the manic energy he puts into lifting weights, but he's beatable-even if he doesn't realize it.

Appearance:
The Peth family is not lacking in good-lookin' genes: what Oliver does for the ladies (and some men), Leila does for the fellas (and some ladies). Leila's just shorter than her brother, with a well-maintained mane of brown hair that she normally has flowing down to her neck unkempt or kept back in a ponytail. She's...ah...endowed rather well, a trait which Oliver has heard many snide comments about, and which she uses to her full advantage when she feelin' a little adventurous. Leila's got a kind of appraising look about her: she's perfectly kind, but beneath it, you can tell she assesses everyone around her. Whereas Oliver gives off warmth, force of personality, and energy, Leila strikes as you as the exact opposite: she's fine with silences in conversations, tends to be more reserved, and prefers to out-think her problems rather than use Oliver's method of applying all one's force right at it.
Leila, aside from the brown hair and blue slitted eyes, moves with an interesting, serpentine (YOU GET LIKE DOUBLE BONUS POINTS IF YOU KNOW WHERE IM GOING WITH THIS) grace, seeming to glide rather than walk across the ground. She, very strangely, doesn't seem to leave footprints, albeit she does leave a trail if she's moving through a wooded area or somewhere similar. Leila typically wears a single gold ring on her right hand and dresses fashionably, designed to draw a bit of attention but not too much. Sometimes, she prefers comfort to appeal, and still manages to look good when she's not trying at all. Unfortunately, Leila's personality off-sets more than a few of her would-be suitors.
Talents:
Cunning, conniving, and smart, Leila's the sort of person who you'd want running your stocks or investments, but wouldn't trust for a minute with your social security number. Leila's good with innovative thinking and brainstorming solutions for problems. Additionally, she's big on pop culture, and may wind up winning the group some prizes if they happen to go to a local trivia night. You never know.
Personality:
Despite what I've said, Leila's a good person: she merely has talents, and pounces on the opportunity to exercise them. Leila's brilliance doesn't find many sources to shine through in school, so she settles for having fun wherever she can. Normally she moves onto a new field of study/craze, devours it within a month or two, gets bored, and moves on. As such, she has a repertoire of pointless knowledge about random civilizations that caught her interest, knows all the works of a few authors but absolutely nothing of others, and has random facts that will likely never come in handy. Leila likes finding patterns and figuring people out: to her, it's more fun to sit back and watch in a conversation than be a part of it. While her brother would take more pleasure from being the lead actor in a play, Leila takes it slow-she'd rather be sitting in the director's chair.
Leila doesn't have the same morality as her brother-while she values their sibling bond dearly, she's more concerned with her own personal code of morality than what favors she owes her friends. As such, Leila would be the first to criticize one of her friends if they cheated on a test (or a lover), but is nonetheless loyal. She's not a cyborg or inhuman by any means, and enjoys companionship, hanging out, and chilling just as much as any other teenager-she merely prefers a smaller, core group of friends rather than Oliver's desire to befriend everyone he meets, however shallowly. That being said, Oliver gets more party invites than her-but Leila genuinely doesn't care too much.
Mechanical god power:
While her brother's spirit animal is the mongoose, Leila's is the cobra. Sharp, decisive, and striking with extreme effect, Leila doesn't have the fighting spirit or ferocity of her brother, but excels in other fields. Firstly, Leila's blood is a very odd, biological-anomaly mixture of hot and cold that no one, much less her RP'er, seems to be able to figure out, and it results in her being resistant to most climate variations around her. Leila is less likely to be bothered by scorching heat or freezing cold. Furthermore, she's got a great sense of smell and sight-her vision at night is particularly keen, and her sense of smell is as adept as Oliver's. Furthermore, she's alert to vibrations and can pick up on large movements around her based on the impact they have on the earth. Leila is exceptionally quiet when she needs to be, and doesn't leave footprints, regardless of what shoe she's wearing: albeit, as previously mentioned, she leaves a trail if she pushes trough bushes or something similar. Just like the cobra, she has good reflexes and has an excellent physique, but isn't on Oliver's level of speed and agility. The most potent weapon in Leila's arsenal is her venom: the king cobra is the largest venomous snake in the world, and Leila lives up to its lethality. Her saliva, if she wills it, is capable of near instantly transforming into a very potent neurotoxin. For the sake of a balanced character, it weakens over distance, so she must kiss/bite her target for it to have its full lethality-if Leila spits it (which she can do at a considerable distance), it is more akin to pepper spray than anything else. Still excruciatingly painful, if you've ever been Maced. Finally, to stretch things a little further, we'll say Leila's own venom can serve as an antivenom if needed: however, she herself is not immune to poison (aside from snakebites).
Weaknesses:
While Leila has a knack for tactics and out-manuvering her opponents, she lacks the same gung-ho nature that Oliver has. She's more likely to cut her losses and leave if things start going south, and if she can't win a fight with a spray of venom to the face or a bite (Or, more Leila's style, a kiss) she's apt to run home, lick her wounds, and live to fight another day.

True Night Killer

Appearance: Morgyn is naturally a brunette, but she has added in blond streaks to her hair. Her hair style is usually a side braid to keep her wavy hair tamed. Morgyn has pale blue eyes, which stand out in contrast to her dark brown-and-blonde-streaked hair. Her skin is pale despite constant time spent outdoors. Morgyn is of average height but is a bit underweight- not to where she seems unhealthy, however- just petite.
Clothing wise, Morgyn usually wears some Nike shorts and a t-shirt that says some school club on it or sport’s team. She is a very athletic person and makes sure that everyone knows it by proudly wearing athletic clothing. Morgyn also wears either flip-flops or some tennis shoes to top off the look. She doesn’t wear accessories besides a few cheap rubber bracelets on her left wrist and a black and pink titanium necklace. As for makeup, Morgyn wears none. She doesn’t carry a purse or bag of any kind-she just keeps everything in her pockets.
Talents: Morgyn is something of an overachiever in school activities. She plays several school sports, from soccer to softball to basketball. For grades, she is an A/B student (mostly B’s) but is in several clubs. Morgyn is also someone who likes to socialize a lot. She enjoys talking and let’s just say her contact list has several people on it.
Personality: Morgyn is (as stated earlier) a person who enjoys socializing. However, she does know when to shut up for talking to someone and who to avoid talking to. She tries to be nice, but she does have a few pet peeves such as when people insult friends. Whenever that is done, she does get angry. Morgyn also finds people who are overconfident annoying, as well (though she doesn’t realize she, herself, is at times)
Mechanical god power: Morgyn’s cube gives her an unusual power. It has to do with controlling attention. With her cube, Morgyn can choose if she wants anyone within a distance of 20 feet to look at her or not. Basically, if she doesn’t want people to look at her, everyone would feel the need to turn away from her. If she wants everyone to be watching her or paying attention to only her, then everyone would suddenly feel the urge to keep their eyes on her. A simple, uncommon power in rps, but it can be quite effective and if used correctly can be very helpful.
Weaknesses: There’s the usual weaknesses the cube holds- the more it’s used, the weaker she feels. Morgyn, like all cube holders, can’t use her power without the cube yet can’t be separated from the cube lest her energy will slowly be drained.
For personality weaknesses, I’ve already mentioned them. She gets angry when people talk about friends and also hates over confident people despite her own overconfidence.
History/bio: Morgyn has lived in Kellinsville her whole life. Like most mechanical god holders, her cube appeared about 3 years ago. She just woke up with it in her lap and a note attached that explained the cube and its power. She thought the note was just a joke and left the cube on her bed. It wasn’t until later when she began to realize how tired and weak she felt after leaving the cube that Morgyn realized something was up. She got the cube back and felt normal again. So then she tried the power the note said the cube would give her and it worked. Morgyn has since then been using the cube every now and then, but very discreetly. She mostly uses it in sports to keep people from noticing her and doing things such as attempting to steal a base in softball, blocking people in basketball, etc.

Nationality: Marcie appears to be some sort of mix of Caucasian and Latino.
Height: Four foot three.
Weight: 72 pounds
Appearance: Marcie looks a lot like a normal young girl should look like. She is rather lanky and lacks the aspects that come with age. She is rather muscular despite not participating in too many physical activities. The middle school does require the students to take a gym class, which she excels in. But since it's now summer Marcie does do a bit of exercise, running and lifting, but nothing too intense.
Returning to her mixed look Marcie has traits from both her mother and her father. She had rather dark, round, eyes that always seem to shine with some childish inner light. Her nose and mouth are average shape and size, nothing too exciting, and one of her ears has a little scar on the lobe. Her tanned skin is covered in freckles from spending time outside and scarcely needing to bathe. Her hair is even darker then her eyes, brown on the edge of being black, and it cut rather sloppily and short. Marcie says she trims it to keep it out of her way.
Clothing for Marcie is whatever is close, clean and comfortable. She hates wearing restrictive clothes like pants and long sleeved shirts, preferring the comfort of Capri shorts and extremely baggy tank tops. Shoes and socks are another thing Marcie hates, rarely wearing them if she has the option. By the very least Marcie will wear flip flops. But if there is a chance of rain Marcie wears as much clothing as possible to keep the water off of her.
Talents: By most definitions of the word Marcie doesn't have too many talents, since she hasn't had long to develop many. Marcie Isn't half bad in school, only really having trouble in math, she is pretty strong and has good endurance. Marcie isn't too bad at video games, anything from shooting to making a team of awesome fighting monsters, and has a pretty good sized collection of discarded hubcaps. Marcie's favorite talent of hers is her ability to climb. She loves pulling herself up to high places like tree branches and roof tops.
Personality: Marcie has most of the traits of a young girl. Carefree, energetic, rather loyal, friendly and pretty brave. However Marcie is also relatively naive and might believe anything someone older then her tells her. She is also rather shy to tell others about herself, her family and her powers. The only person that she knows knows her powers are her parents.
Mechanical god power: Her cube gave her the power to manipulate earth. This can be anything from dirt and dust to boulders. Obviously, the larger the earth the harder it is to manipulate and the more energy it takes to move it. Marcie can also expand and shrink earth. So the little pebbles in her pocket can deal a lot more damage then a smack to the head.
Weaknesses: Since she is so young her age, height and general smarts could be considered weaknesses but going with the theme of powers her greatest weakness is water. She hates rain, cannot swim and can't even take baths (lucky for her and everyone else her power prevents her from smelling like anything other then mud and dirt) Marcie has trouble concentrating when she is wet, she'll sputter and try to dry herself off as if the water is burning her.
History/bio: Marcie wasn't born in Kellinsville, she was born somewhere where she can no longer remember and moved to Kellinsville when she was young. Since she can no longer remember her old house she doesn't really care. One scattered memory of her childhood was the day her mother left her and her father. Marcie cannot remember the reason but she can remember what her mother said to her. The quiet and tiny women handed her a necklace with a cube as the main center piece and said to never leave without it on and maybe someday she would discover something new about herself.
And this did happen. Marcie now lives with her gruff looking, but teddy bear acting, father on a large piece of property that now doubles as a car and motorcycle repair shop.

Seems like most of your characters have something to do with earth Dragon. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I myself want to play a character with terrakinesis in one of these days.

Appearance: Nyx is slender in form and pasty white in complexion. One of most notable feature is her unnatural bubblegum blue hair. She has long bangs on the right side of her face and keeps it in a shoulder length ponytail. Just as unusual are her magenta irises, which is her color of preference for special contacts she wears. Nyx also wears black eye shadow, dark red lipstick, and has blue wavelike inking on her right side of her body. Arguable the second most prominent feature of hers is a prosthetic limb. It is fully a mechanical arm attached to a servo joint at the shoulder. She has five mechanical fingers just like an ordinary hand, but doesn't look it'd be useful for delicate work. Covering it's casing is a series of sketches and burn marks. Typical attire for her is a vest with shorts, an arm guards, one legging, combat boots and belts across her chest and waist. Much of her wardrobe has rips and burn marks from less than upstanding activity.
Talents: Nyx is a skilled mechanic from her fathers teachings, and has a knack for other technical work. Since getting her cube an active and dangerous lifestyle has kept her in decent shape. Her stamina is above average, she is quite fast and agile. Jumping and climbing are strong suits of hers. Other than that she is a effective burglar a ruthless fighter, and a quick thinker.
Personality: There's almost never a time Nyx isn't using her hands, even if it's just tinkering something over and over again. She constantly feels the need to be doing something and has been officially diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. The alienation resulting from her condition helped develop a strain of antisocial personality disorder, which results in her having a blatant disregard for others. This is amplified by a grudge for the authority, who ruined her life. Despite her freakish appearance she still attempts social interaction whenever possible, often times she drives people off or is completely ignored. Strangely it doesn't discourage her, most chock it up to wanting attention; others think she's crazy. The latter opinion is reinforced by the fact she can often be found talking to herself.

History/bio: Nyx's mother died in childbirth, so her father was left to bring her up alone. He was a lowly mechanic who lived in the slums district of a large city. When she came of school age it quickly became clear that she wasn't like the other students. Extreme difficulties paying attention and her seeming inability to remain quiet caused her to be removed from the rest of the class. She didn't see many other children and when she did they shunned and picked on her. After a case of violence against a bully in 6th grade that landed the kid in the hospital she was expelled. Her father couldn't afford to move or get transportation to another education facility, so he began to take her with him to the shop.
Unlike her studies, Nyx was a natural at hands on shop work and became capable grease monkey early into her teens. With the extra hand they were able to pay the bills for several years until at age 17, when a rival business shook their world. The small father and daughter business was unable to compete, and things quickly went downhill. After receiving a foreclosure notice her father decided to take drastic measures. One night he told her that they had a out of town client who wanted his car fixed for his return. Nothing seemed too unusual until it was back in the shop and nothing was wrong with it. Instead of repairs he removed the licence plate and began to repaint it. Nyx went along with it knowing very well they were now running a chop shop. This did not last long however, for one stormy day sirens could be heard outside. In a rash decision her father took her by the arm and they sped off in a half painted vehicle. During the high speed chase they were cut off by a police car on a slick section of road. Their car hydroplaned and T-boned the cruiser. The impact killed the officer and her father immediately, and left Nyx trapped inside with a crushed left arm.
At the age of 16 driving crimes are done through the adult court system and the same goes for theft of property worth over a thousand dollars. When she was released from the emergency room she was tried for grand theft auto, and as an accomplice in vehicular manslaughter resulting in the death of a cop. Her sentencing earned her prison for 20 years at minimum, even with the reductions for being a minor. For almost a year she was kept in a private cell, since most prisoners are adult males; during this time she began to exhibit strange behavior. Following an assault on one of the staff members she was given a more thorough psychiatric evaluation and transferred to a mental clinic. Their solution was drugs and a padded cell, and unlike prison there was no time restriction. She might have stayed there for life if not for interference. About three years into her 'treatment' she was given fake pills with a strange cube. It gave her the means to break free and start a new life for herself. One built on vandalism, breaking and entering. Nyx adopted a new look and began moving from place to place least she should be caught again. Now an additional three years have passed and she finds herself with a semi-permanent on the outskirts of Kellinsville.

Appearance: Wolfwood has a bit of a nerd vibe when people look at him. He is a tall and lanky individual. He stands a few inches taller than average male height, and is thin-ish. Wolfwood is a bit pudgy, some may notice that beer-gut he has. Nothing too extreme, he can still walk normally and run if he has to. He has long legs, which make up quite a bit of his height. He is always slouched over, and takes large, but careful, steps whenever he's seen walking. Wolfwood, like many other Valos, is of mixed race. Brazilian and Japanese of course. He has high yellow skin. His skin is coated with moles and plenty of imperfections like scars. He doesn't have too many dramatic scars, or ones that stand out really. He does have a few moles. He has one large black one on his cheekbone, and one on the right side of his forehead. He has a medium sized inverted-rectangle shaped head. Wolfwood has a few tattoos on his being. One on the right side of his chest of a black-inked heart with an arrow through it (With some slight blood) that says "Love and War". He also a tattoo on the side of his neck that says "Cut here" Wolfwood has bulky, squared and well defined facial features. Many say that he looks like a Jewish person. Wolfwood has a very large chin, it is one of the first things people notice about him. He has a small, triangle-shaped, nose, it sticks out a little bit and has a very short bridge. His nostrils are small and triangle shaped as well. Wolfwood's lips are small, he usually has them tucked in. As Wolfwood is part Japanese, his eyes are slanted, and small. He always seems to have a face of perpetual anxiety or boredom. Wolfwood has very curly, ear-length, hair, and has a near afro formed, that he keeps well combed. Wolfwood's hair is jetblack.
Wolfwood doesn't really have a set style. He doesn't dress as spectacularly as the rest of the Valos. He can often be seen in a worn out and tattered black pinstriped suit. This suit doesn't look too good on Wolfwood, but it's his lucky suit. He got lucky in it. Other times he'll just wear anything that fits, and matches. Which is fine for most situations.
Talents: Incredibly quick thinker, can think twenty times faster than anyone else. He knows how to handle a gun quite well. He's also quite charming
Personality: Wolfwood is a calm individual. He always appears to be calm most of the time. The small things never really bother him since he has a high tolerance for such things. Like an annoying person. Wolfwood tends to be the reasonable, mature one. Almost never losing his cool like a little kid, and will usually pick the most logical option when it comes to it. But, he can be quite selfish, and is more than willing to screw someone else over when it comes down to it. When people talk to him, he talks like a cool and level-headed person. Causally telling jokes when the situation calls for it, and acting like a sociable person. Wolfwood acts like a know it all, and is a very quick thinker. He seems to have the ability to quickly tell people things and come up with witty responses to people. He seems to always know everything about people's personality and mindsets. Which can irritate people. When stressed he usually gets irritable and avoids social situations until he cools down.
