Age: 40 (appears 30)

Gender: male

Species: cyborg (originally an unknown alien species)

Appearance: Threx stands 6’ 10” with silver-grey skin, due to being a cyborg. His arms and legs are thick and well-muscled. His hands and feet are clawed, and he has sharp teeth. His head looks like that of a dinosaur that has been flattened, giving him a more human appearance, and his eyes are more forward facing than a dinosaur’s. He has digitigrade legs, and each foot has 3 toes, two forward and one back. His eyes are normally all black, but glow green in the dark.
He wears basic utility clothing consisting of a dark grey shirt that covers his torso, and is sleeveless, as well as black pants which stop at his knees.

Personality: Threx is ruthless and thorough, especially when it comes to his job. He is somewhat of a loner, staying distant from others, tending not to make friends on purpose so as to limit people that can be used against him. This does not mean that he is not willing to work with others if necessary, but he often prefers to work alone. Being a bounty hunter, he is not really loyal to anyone except the highest bidder for his services, and even they are only an ally until they have paid him.

History/backstory: Threx was raised by his father, since his mother died when he was young. His father was hired muscle for those who needed a bodyguard, and he ended up teaching Threx everything he knew. Unfortunately, one of his enemies broke into their home when Threx was 15 years old and killed his father. As the killer stood over his father’s body, Threx snuck up behind him and stabbed him in the back, killing him. He used his father’s savings to equip himself and ended up going after a minor criminal with a bounty on his head, who he was able to capture and bring in. Thus his career of bounty hunting began. But he was in for another curveball….
Naturally his trade made him some enemies, and on a joint mission he was the victim of a bomb that had been planted. He was injured but alive. He completed the mission and collected the money. This event disturbed him however, so he began using the money from his bounties to give himself a less mortal body. After plenty of money spent and a long surgical process, he awoke as a cyborg.

Abilities: Threx is a cyborg, which gives him multiple abilities. His body is composed of super-compressed boron nitride nanotube sheets, which allows his outer layer to withstand 8,540 degree Fahrenheit temperatures as well as being extremely durable, nonmagnetic, as well an electrical insulator (he’s EMP hardened). The armor is coupled with energy shielding to protect him from harm. His has passive detection in the visible, infrared, and ultraviolet spectrums, and active/passive microwave and gamma ray detection, which allows him see close by objects on the other sides of walls. His eyes can zoom in and take pictures. His also has very sensitive olfactory and audio sensors. Inside of his hands and feet are powerful electromagnets which allow him to climb certain surfaces. He utilizes a combination of synthetic muscle fibers and hydraulics which allow him to punch through walls and lift 7,069 pounds and running up to 50 mph. He is powered by an internal fusion reactor with a chemical separator. His brain is coupled with quantum computer parts to allow him greater processing capabilities and to handle his body. He has an internal internet connection.
He has hidden pulse particle beam cannons and extendable micro-vibration blades composed of the same material as the rest of his body on each wrist. Hidden in one forearm is a grappling line.


Skills: His cyborg nature makes him a crack shot, as well as being excellent in hand to hand combat. He is also good at hacking and fixing/building things.

Weaknesses: Should his head be destroyed, he would die since it contains his brain. He cannot heal and must repair himself manually.

Weapons: a railgun rifle and whatever else he can get his hands on

Home: a small apartment under a false name in the Gamma district. It has a small portable chemical/nuclear converter that can make parts similar to a 3D printer, although nothing too big.

Job: bounty hunter, which pays pretty good money (this is complimented by the fact he doesn’t live very large).

Age: 103 (age 26 prior to her death)

Gender: Female

Species: Synthetic (originally human)

Appearance: Jenny looks very different than she did in her human life. Her synthetic body is athletic in design, but still looks very feminine. The only way to tell that she isn't a human would be to read her heat signature, vital signs, make contact with her skin, or if one is especially observant they would notice that her body is completely symmetrical. She sometimes changes faces for assignments, but sticks with her signature look the rest of the time. This consists of straight, slightly puffy, dark brownish purple. Her hair ends halfway down her neck. Large pink tinted eyes serve to make herself attractive, and provide a greater field of vision. The rest of her facial features are close to average, her nose being slightly under, her mouth a little bit more full. Permanently darkened eye lashes and lips give her the impression of always wearing a conservative amount of makeup. Piercings serve no functional purpose, so she has none. Typical attire is sleek, dark colored, and form fitting. (There will be more description here IC.)

Personality: Jenny is a good natured operative that carries herself with dignity and grace. She takes pride in her work, and prefers to let her actions speak for her. She is a strong practitioner of teamwork, however she hates working with arrogant squad members or anyone else that may compromise a mission. That is not to say that she can't take a joke. Once you've proven yourself reliable she is much less uptight and might even play along. Some see her as a hypocrite considering that she mostly takes solo tasks then makes calls about the team. What they don't understand is that's how she works best and why she is assigned them. In her human life she was cool and collected in the face of danger and will to make sacrifices for the greater good, now even more so. It may of been a long time ago, but she hasn't forget what it's like to be human. The value of life is something she holds high. Never will she voluntarily endanger lives unless it is absolutely necessary. This makes her a shining beacon in an undercover world where results take presidence over morality.

History/backstory: In the year 3776 Jenny was a Sergeant Major who was making waves in the marines. Her higher ups were impressed and thought she might make good command material one day. Unfortunately the next year she met her untimely demise in a terrorist attack targeting the bullet train taking her to her next post. However, the brain was still intact within her combat helmet. Since she was a body donor she was eligible to take part in trials to map the neural pathways of the human brain into an artificial one. She was one of the first successes and inspiration for future models. It was a shock, but Jenny took rather well to her new body. For her it was like blinking and waking up super human with a new set of rules. While she was treated no different there was the underlying factor that she was really dead and that this new her was property. After seven years of tests, upgrades, reconnaissance, and cleanup work, Jenny was assigned to the First Galactic War. She watched many times as her comrades burned and died while she survived, but as war progressed cybernetics made her stand out less and less from her fellow soldiers. Since and throughout the war she has gotten quite a few upgrades to once again giver her an edge. Now she works private sector mostly handling counter terrorism, espionage, counter espionage, assassination, and counter assassination. I'm not going to detail her human life at this time.

Powers/skills: Jenny's body is made entirely out of artificial composites featuring no flesh and little metal. Rather than motors and hardware, she uses synthetic tissue/hydraulics and chemical/dna computing. This gives her a reaction time of 0.09, the strength to lift 6,800 lbs, and run at a speed of 50 mph. Artificial receptors grant her heightened senses. Additionally the lenses in her eyes are telescopic with a targeting computer, infrared, and night vision. Energy shielding makes up the first line of defense. Underneath her outer armor shell is composed of a highly blast resistant plastic similar to starlight, it is capable of withstanding a nuclear flash. Making up the second layer and her internal support structure is carbyne (a string of single carbon atoms) sheets woven with lonsdaleite (also called hexagonal diamond) chemical vapor deposition. These layers have been crushed by gravity fields into rigorous ultra-dense material, this process also compensates for Lonsdaleite's brittleness. Jenny's body is shock absorbent enough to air dropped without a parachute or other means to slow her fall. Internet access, remote communication, body transferring, and hacking are all benefits of her cyber brain. Electromagnets in her hands and feet allow her to scale magnetic structures. Lastly she wears a armored stealth suit that uses meta materials to bend light around the user rendering herself invisible. It also sheds radar and traps energy emissions.

Weaknesses: Jenny's outer plastic is shredded by projectile weapons, and is not even close to protection from a full nuclear detonation. Her synthetic flesh does not heal on it's own, and is reliant on a conductive white fluid. Should a wound make her loose too much of the liquid she will lose control of that part of her body. Head wounds are much more severe, and may result in 'death' (she's not technically alive). Additionally high ampere shocks that penetrate her insulation will cause her muscles to convulse. Lastly, the meta materials of her stealth suit are easily damaged, which renders it inoperable.

Weapons:
-Mass accelerator sniper rifle that can fire a metal slug at mach 30. Heat generated from the shot flash converts air to plasma in it's wake. Special ammunition house a centigram of antimatter contained within a tiny electromagnetic field.
-Arc hand cannon that fires an ionized laser followed by a bolt of electricity nearly as powerful as a lightning strike, creating plasma is a side effect of atmospheric use due to the high temperature. Lower settings can be used for non-lethal takedowns.
-Particle beam rifle that has a scatter setting like a shotgun.
-Energy sword that uses magnetic fields to hold plasma into a blade-like form.
-Compressed carbyne and lonsdaleite combat knife that uses a compact ultrasonic generator to make the blade to vibrate at incredible speed.

Home: Jenny does not have a permanent residence, instead she makes use of a series of safe houses with repair bays and armories, or other government buildings. Depends on her location and needs.

Job: Works for the private sector of the government handling high risk, low profile assignments.

Forgive me night, but it seems as if your sheet contradicts itself. You say she can survive a nuclear blast and then you say that she cannot survive a nuclear blast (plus we won't be dropping nukes anytime soon so making your character strong enough to survive the blast of one is kind of OP).

A nuclear flash is not the same as a blast, and it is a real material I am using.

A nuclear flash tops 30,000° F whereas a nuclear blast is over 100,000,000° F.


EDIT: My drawing for Jenny is going pretty good. Since she's accepted, I can't wait for the IC.

I'm compiling a list of weaknesses for each character and thought I should mention this to Canis; Boron nitride nanotubes are sensitive to n-doping. Ergo if they are damaged your EMP hardness goes out the window, ergo you are also susceptible to something known as flux pending which can further damage the structural integrity of the now semi conductive nanotube structure, causing more n-doping causing more conductivity causing more flux pending causing more n-doping. So, yeah. just FYI.

I'll notify everyone of major stuff like that when I have a chance to in depth read through all your sheets. I'm in the middle of exams so I have no idea when that'll be. Could be today, could be next week. Who knows.

That's actually a horrific idea. Carbyne, like all acetylenes or -ynes and polyynes is extremely explosive in condensed or as you put it, compressed, phases. All that needs to happen to set it off is for two carbyne chains to crosslink exothermically. Which will defiantly without a shadow of a doubt happen if said carbyne is attached to any sort of vibrator. So that knife could potentially blow Jenny's arm off. IF she's lucky and it doesn't set off the carbyne in her armor.

Anything is potentially explosive compressed at this magnitude. Carbyne is normally relatively stable, and resists crosslinking with nearby chains. The rods' stiffness prevents them from coming together in a second location. This can be further increased with end-caps. Not to mention that the compression actually hinders this. However, the ultimate solution is to use double atomic bonds instead of alternating single and triple, making it a cumulene rather than a polyyne. They haven't made a different name for it, so carbyne it remains for the time being.

Before you go any farther, I'd like to point out that you are contradicting rule number 7 evaluating peoples sheets like this.

I'm just trying to point out things that could potentially become problematic should someone choose to alter the object in question to make sure the users in charge of that character are aware of the potential weaknesses in using that particular object/substance. For a substance as potentially explosive as carbyne, if someone were to expose it to a high enough level of radiation or heat, it could potentially form a crosslink despite end caps, rigidity, and double bonds. That and the fact that the kind of carbyne chain you are referring to is incredibly difficult to make and even more difficult to amass in a pure and unflawed format large enough to make up a knife and would most likely contain some deformities, means that if I point out potential problems like this now, it could prevent a larger augment later should circumstances arise where it would be scientifically invalid to state that the weapon would remain in a stable form.

You don't have to abide by this, and it doesn't effect whether or not you can use the weapon in the RP as stated in the sheet, all I'm trying to do is ensure that everything is portrayed at least semi-accurately, and make sure a gigantic fight doesn't occur if and when someone intentionally tries to destabilize the carbyne.

The main limiting factor in forming crosslinks is how compressed it is. It wouldn't be possible to cross links without severe deformity, the most risk is in building the material, not using it. Keep in mind that this is 1800 years in the future, and the issues in making large enough quantities pure and unflawed should be solved. In addition to advances in keeping materials stable we can't foresee. Even at the heat/radiation level where deformity occurs, it's one area, one layer at a time, not like the whole knife/armor goes boom. I don't consider this that much of a defect, since lesser materials are more easily destoyed even still. Not to mention that the portion made of lonsdaleite is perfectly stable.

The idea of rule seven should be to prevent arguments all together, which you are not doing. My compressed carbyne is already more accurately portrayed than many other things in this RP. I've done my research, and know my materials drawbacks. Your efforts would be better placed somewhere revision is needed.

Alright, but remember that almost everyone else in the rp (save Agatha) has some sort of bionic adaptation that makes them superior to normal beings. You might be at a bit of a disadvantage if you don't have any sort of ability (besides being a cold-blooded lizard able to survive subzero temperatures that the city will never reach since its temperature is artificial.

Also Night, I think hard light weaponry is a bit too advanced for this rp. The other weapons are fine, but I think that's a bit extreme.

Personality: Kimir is very awkward. There are not very many Binokalians in Port Argis, and he has tried to blend in with the crowd. He has a very odd sense of humor (e.g. trying to crack a joke after someone hurt themselves) that is not very uncommon in Binokalian society. He has a low ego, and doesn't have many friends. In danger, He mans up and uses the skills he was taught to either escape or fight off the threat.

History/backstory: Kimir was born on the Binokalian-owned planet of Dyur. He was born with a deformed tail, and it had to be amputated. Normally, he would have been a lost cause, but with the invention of bionics, Kimir's life was able to be saved. He was trained by his parents and village elders on how to hunt, fight, and survive. When he was 17, he and his parents hitched a ride on a spaceship and rode to Port Argis. He attempted to fit into this strange new society, but was always very awkward and ended up not making many friends. At the age of 19, he started working as a trader and bought his own house. He started visiting planets to collect rares and valuables in order to make a living selling them at Toron Station. Even though he is socially awkward, he still convinces many to buy his products.

Powers/skills: Kimir is excellent at exploring and fighting, which is why he visits strange, far-off planets so much. He has fought off wild animals, survived a night in tempratures below zero, and negotiated with native tribes.

Kimir is fairly athletic for his kind, and can sprint quickly (~18mph) for 13 at most. He can jog for much longer; he can jog for about a mile before tiring. His arm strength doesn't seem to live up to his bionic tail; he can lift about as much as the average human, for about as long as the average human.

His bionic eye takes the place of an organic eye that was rendered useless in a fight during his travels. To Kirim, the bionic eye is a sign of a mistake that he had made, and doesn't like it in the slightest.

Kimir isn't fond of his bionic tail, either, but it actually does have some advantages. First of all, it's prehensile, and a lot more flexible than a Binokalian organic tail. It is also able to carry very heavy things up to 700 pounds, with some strain.

Weaknesses: Kimir can sometimes bite off more than he can chew. Once, while stealing an artifact from a tribe, he foolishly decided to stop running and fight them off. He might have been killed has an accomplice not jumped in to save him. His cybernetics can occasionally glitch, which may cause his bionic eye to stop working or cause his bionic tail to make him lose balance. However, these glitches are rare; he has spent a lot of money to make sure that they're in working order.

Weapons:
-A pulse rifle. For ammunition, it doesn't rely on physical bullets. It instead relies on energy. The energy is a bit like a bundle of electricity, which has the ability to either stun the target or kill them, depending on where it is aimed. It is a type of laser weapon. The weapon itself isn't very accurate.
-A small, handheld railgun
-A rarely-used machete
-A "Flashstaff," Used by the Binokalians as a flashlight, a spear, and a staff. It is six feet long.

Home: Kimir lives in a small home at the edge fo the Zeta district. His home is small and wedged in between larger buildings, but the inside reveals that he makes plenty of money off of his job.

Job: Kimir is a trader that sells merchendise in Toron Station, though, occasionally, he'd sell items at the basketball stadium. Kimir usually either purchases his merchendise, or takes it himself from a far-off planet.

That's fine, but if hard light is too high tech, then your photon cannon is really a type of laser.

I'll work on a weapon to replace it.

@Prussia: Dude, Kimir isn't going to survive this rp if he's that weak. It's a good idea for a character but he needs to have something more than human strength and below-average speed. Also, that flash staff sounds like hard light, which I already mentioned is probably a type of technology that is a little too advanced. For right now I'm not accepting Kimir because he's not strong enough. Look at the other character here prussia. Jenny's character can survive a nuclear flash and Shen can take apart technology with his mind.

Here's a good example. I made a character back in The Game called Flaeron. He looked very similar to your character (though he was a humanoid croc as opposed to a humanoid komodo dragon) and had bulletproof skin, superhuman reflexes, bones reinforced with carbon nanotubes, highly acidic blood (meaning that projectiles literally dissolved when they entered him) and could spit acid. By all means be original, but a character with human strength and below-average speed won't last very long at all in this rp, especially if he makes a name for himself (which Kimir sounds like he will).

Everything that needs to be changed? The only thing that needs to be changed is that Kimir needs an actual power. Being as strong as a human and below-average in the speed department isn't going to get you far at all in this RP.
